From this point the author continues to bring up nightmares and flashbacks, but does not reveal what happened. Unfortunately, the answer is behind a paywall. For me, this was a deal breaker. How will you keep readers if you lock away what appears to be a key portion of the plot?Something else I didn't like was the info-dumps. It's too much irrelevant information to remember.

Isn't this the same idea as "A returners magic should be special?"
