yes but salaries are not neccesarily the biggest part of their income. Their income usually increases with company growth/earnings in forms such as gratuity, bonuses, being a large shareholder etc. Also high end contravts for ceos can just give a portion of company earnings to them

its not about wanting to do thay, its about none of them think ue knows this basic information even without them saying anything. Its the authors super lazy way of adding exposition without quality and foresight. The character can get this information in a way that makes sense but this is random and forced
