er seidou? i think you mean komadai? i dont recall seidou vs inashiro ever going to 14 innings
also need to remind you that it was mentioned komadai went toe to toe against narumiya (inashiro) for 14 innings in the original work and inashiro also has a strong batting lineup so komadai isnt weak on the defense.
tanba seems to throws around 140km with a forkball and a steep curveball drop. against komadai's lower batters, thats probably fine. against their cleanup crew (batters 3-5) i see tanba giving up some hits. kawakami is probably somewhere in the 130s? (never mentioned but given he wasnt really part of the battle for the ace number, probably wasnt very remarkable) with a skill set built around breaking balls with a sidearm release. he seems solid against the weaker teams but against the stronger ones, it feels like he cant get any outs (happened in season one west tokyo finals seidou vs inashiro. kawakami just couldnt get the last out and inashiro went to kosien). furuya in year one has massive control and stamina issues. komadai has pitchers who can throw 150km so they are not gonna be intimidated by furuya's fastball for long. given that he only has an uncontrollable fastball at this point while playing under intense heat he isnt used to, furuya will crumble. once these three fall apart and lose too many runs, no matter how well sawamura pitches or how good seidou's batting is, thats an uphill battle thats really bad for morale
i see the point, but komadai didnt get to the finals by having a weak batting lineup either. turning the match into a slugfest for runs isnt a good idea when the other side has the better pitcher lineup that can limit the number of hits and runs and last longer overall. kawakami and tanba are not very reliable and could very well lose large number of runs once they are figured out. furuya doesnt have the stamina or control especially in the summers so once he unravels he'll give up a bunch of hits and runs.
while i do agree, the other pitchers all have exploitable problems. this is the koshien finals. no one who gets to this point is weak. this is the flaw in seidou's current pitching lineup.
eh he was substituted to left field in the 7th. furuya pitched the other 2 remaining innings. and while not a full rest, eijun rested his arm since he didnt need to pitch
number 10 batter? i think you mean 7
because sakai is a left fielder while haruichi is a second baseman. haruichi's position overlaps with his older brother's so he cant exactly start. also, against an opponent like inashiro, you can't leave any defensive gaps for them to exploit.
i believe he is going for the elite four title, not champion. using champion for both is somewhat confusing
current koshien should be summer? and ichidaisan was eliminated by yakushi if i remember correctly. How would they make it to koshien? unless you mean previous spring koshien
