Yeah I think chapters like this one are pretty good here an there. They make a lot of sense especially with our MC entering longer and longer periods of cultivation. Taking a more in depth look into sect politics, new sect members, outside forces etc. as they learn about the sect and how they interact with it....I think it makes the world bigger and more interesting. I liked the introspection into the foreign spies during the competition for example. Since the initial expansion we haven't really had too much insight into surrounding forces our sect members might interact with. I think after the next big breakthrough for XH it would be nice to see the sect slowly entering the big stage of the continent and see the sect and main disciples of XH forge friendships and enmities with disciples of different main powers on the continent etc. Since the sect is posing as an ancient hidden sect it wouldn't have to be very public, but I think it would be reasonable for the desciples to attend important events like secret realms etc. together with other disciples of main powers once they get to a level where they would have similar strength to disciples of the same age group in other major forces.

If I were in XH shoes I would probably try to use whatever resources I have to get insight into the Dao of Time, not only would it make sense to be useful for speeding up his cultivation upon a certain degree of mastery but it would also make sense if it was helpful for perfecting the Dao of Space, cause you know spacetime, time dilation etc are a thing so those to should benefit one another and with both he should be able to create something like a separate space in his cultivation chamber that allowed him to cultivate at a faster pace compared to the outside world. Doesn't need to be an insane amount but at least 2-5x would still be reasonable. Once that initial part is done going for the mystic realm/quests would be my choice probably. Since even a combination of his current Dao of Space and small success Dao of Time should make him way stronger and mystic realm stuff a lot less leathal.

I hope MC figures out a way to understand how her power works and how to stop her and her "creations" if necessary, cause she's honestly a bigger threat than any outside forces atm with how nonchalant and unrestrained she acts. Sooner or later she's gonna get someone killed that way, it's actually surprising she hasn't so far.

Thanks for the chapter!So excited for MC's encounter with the old Earth Immortal. It would actually be cool if they could form a good relationship in the end. Since he is weakened and MC isn't really the type to kill people on sight for no reason it would be a good chance to actually form some connections and learn more about the world from the old guy.

This is perfectly normal. Why should he leave any potential future enemy and their revenge plot alive? Killing all witnesses and everyone who might avenge them asap ist the best thing he can do.

True, but only if you have many joining your fight. If not, scorched earth, human shields, ransacking cities etc. are more effective tactics.Since common people aren't very useful it is best to slaughter the weak, take all the resources, use waves of POWs to wear out the enemy, brainwash and train the more promising ones, capture slaves for labour to continue the war effort etc. So yeah....it very well could be their demise.

Well, whether or not it's harsh depends on how much you have and what the cost of living is. The question is more how much that hurts them and whether they get anything in return or if they just do with the money whatever they want.

No reason to have any attachments anyways. He's immortal and will outlive everyone in such a tiny place many times over. So yeah, I would kill everyone who finds out no matter what, minimize Interaction to the minimum necessary to get what I need to get stronger and constantly switch locations and looks as much as possible.

Thanks for the chapter! I hope we'll get the chance to Do more quest/System stuff, resolve another part of the Main Star peak mystery and push MC's power level a bit. I think it's time to at least bump him up to where we have a clearer outline of his progression and officially get him to the point where he doesn't need to be so afraid of soul ascension cultivators, even if we can't make him the strongest in sky empire in one move, we should be getting there in the near future. Just my opinion though.
