Maybe, just maybe, she did everything she could in preventing that power from killing both him and his father themselves. I don't any power would take to kind to a woman they place high hopes/expectations on, both fornicating and producing an offspring with a foreignor. It's to be expected considering such factors could be used to influence her to act againstvthe vested interest of her sect. And in that same vein I'm surprised they didn't force the father in son to remain within the sect instead of allowing them to do as they wish. She probably fought for that aswell. But let's not give any such considerations, and dish hate out to a woman we haven't even seen yet, and instead immediately buy into the inexperienced bias of a 15 year old twerp whose only been a conscious member of civilation for a grand total of 9 years. Despite whatever Butler Dillian is saying about the efforts she made to bring her son out of a coma when her power base/backing is located countless miles away and she has to traverse foreign soil.

The middle-aged butler countered, "Don't say that, young master. Mrs. Maisie has many responsibilities on her shoulders. The power behind her has high expectations for her."

We still think he's the good guy?

He was ecstatic as he felt the immense strength on both bodies, but he was more ecstatic for what was to come as he looked at the enemies in front of him. This was because he wanted all the shimmering Fate Lines they had, and he wanted them all for himself!

I never much cared for this arc. Just reading it so I'm not in the dark regarding signifigant plot points when I read the other ones.

His heart was shaking because they provided him with such an abundant feast that he did not even know how to best make use of it. He had the War Princess who would actually be commanding this enormous force led by 8 Star Forgers, so he had a lot of leeway to strategize and possibly set a trap that would allow him to sweep all of these powerful Star Forgers away.

But he's trying to conquered it nonetheless. Only differences between them are the mode of operation. Noah has never been an innocent bystander.

Everything's here fault. she created Aldritch, with the explicitly purpose of using him as a means to cultivate Noah. He was right, they lived in a play ground, I'm not sure that man ever had an original thought. RIP the Pioneer. The greatest whetstone to ever do it.

[Because of this, I went forward with the goal of forging a Champion that had an unbeatable Trait, a Champion who could trample on all other beings regardless of the trait they held in the coming future.]

Both sides (Noah/The Dark Expanse, and the Celestials) are wrong, or atleast only half right. But I like most of the characters, and it has a phenomenal power system alongside some pretty amazing world building, so I'm just trying to finish up this arc so I can get to the good ones.

"It is lawlessness, chaos, and disorder. As practitioners of Fate, it is our duty to bring order and balance across our Novus Galaxy and bring a stop to such chaos that the savages dwelling within cause!"
