Because she is an Emperor in ancient times. Do you think you can object a direct order from an emperor or king? You can't, it doesn't matter if it makes little sense or is stupid, even questioning the order is enough grounds to get you executed. And yet they openly defied her authority by doing this, not once but repteadly. She is mad because that means they don't treat her as their real ruler.
Poor knights? In what world are knights poor?
Why would they kill him? You don't kill the chicken who lays the eggs. They obviously would keep him alive so he can make more stuff

I miss them, they were kinda likable in their own way. I'm not one of those people who self insert so the protagonist being dumb or whatever doesn't matter to me if the story is interesting. It's just a character trait. Now I'm kinda of tired of every protagonist being handsome, cold morally grey geniuses who say edgy shit like "only strength matters" and " the weak did not even have the right to live" and blah blah blah.
