OC's are only really a issue when writers flood a story with them. making it hard to keep focus on what's going on

personally i find Massive harems a detraction from all but smut stories. anything more then like 3 or 4 girls to a harem makes the stories progress very bogged down with 2 many factors that can lead to writing oneself into a corner followed by story being dropped.
