No. Beastman is what you're looking for. I know the post is a year old. Also this author just describe a satyr. Halfling is not referring to being half this and half that. A beast if it is a race is either beastman or another name based solely on that race. for example a centaur could be considered a beastman but never is. Beastman generally are just humans with animal features such as wolf, dog, cat, lion, etc. This author or whoever translated this novel has a real lack of knowledge concerning mythological being and games in general. which ruins what feels like a good story.

Sympathy might have been possible. The problem is that Peter, through his current actions, doesn't show remorse for what he did. He doesn't show guilt for possibly dooming those 2 to death. He fears being caught and punished. Even having been tortured, there are many who would still feel horrible doing whatever is they are forced to do because of said torture. They would feel some amount of guilt. He felt guilty in the moment, but now that it's passed, he only cares about not getting caught. That's not worth any amount of sympathy. Man deserves to burn.
