The life of Adam had been very fruitful and breezy in the base.

The life of everyone on the base had become much abundant as mutated apples had been mass produced giving everyone an avenue for food source. In regards with Adam's contribution, he was revered by many people in the base and had become popular second only to Arthus.

In this month, Adam had become more close to Grandpa Sam and Grandma Elle, the old couples who regarded him as their grandson. The two even became accustomed to Arthus and is not afraid of the big guy anymore.

Everything had been good.

Aside from the usual work to home cycle of Adam's daily activities, from time to time he along with his team are tasked to clean some cities of remnant zombies that wandered to the reclaimed areas on the northern region. These zombies are not hunted because of the few population and strong people to set another base in these cities therefore resulting to the accumulation of these rotten meat to seize the area.

He also gathered some experience points although small due to the small number of zombies in each cities.

' It's okay, I don't need to pressure myself to become strong anyway. '

Adam knew that Arthus is already a very powerful being in this country. Even if there is a powerful enemy, Adam still have many life preservation methods.

Still, he didn't disdain to do the clean up task and obediently lead his team on cities after another.

But something become off on the later days as they encountered less and less zombies.

To prevent zombies from overpopulating those abandoned cities, survivor teams and soldiers are often sent to do the extermination. These had been going on for awhile and multiple teams set out in different cities to do their task. But, an unusual activity had been noticed by the dispatched teams. They noticed that in some cities and their other neighboring cities are free of zombies like there was a mass exodus.

Many speculation about this phenomenon had been generated. Some are saying that this might be because of the recent zombie tide resulting to the loss if all the zombies, others are even saying that maybe the zombies migrated due to lack of human presence. But all these speculations had been rejected by the scientist and researchers.

According to them, these mass disappearances may be because of another commander variant zombie with higher tier. Commander type are the brightest of all zombies. Maybe, they can even reach the scale to generate a bigger zombie tide than the past and make the medium size bases to collapse, like Pandora Base.

After having this speculation, the army had dispatched countless individual to monitor the other cities if the remnant zombies also disappeared.

And their investigation was not fruitless.

Zombies that were still identified to be present in the city in a few days had been missing when it were rechecked. Although the remnants zombie of the northern region is not as exaggerated in the fallen region, the total of zombies that had gone missing should be near half million in count, more than twice larger than the previous zombie tide.

If this number attack...

Unless the tier 5 awakened are all present in the base under attacked, it will surely fall. Even the iron wall may be destroyed by higher tiered zombies or some randomly unknown zombie variant.

The team Abyss is currently riding a modified jeep as they are travelling to City H right at the  eastern boarder of the northern region.

Actually it's not only them but another 4 teams with 5 teams in total.

All these teams are led by a tier 3 peak awakened and evolutionary who are famous in the base.

They had been acquainted for awhile but Adam didn't have any deep interaction with them. The biggest reason, Arthus don't like him interacting with them as they rarely bathe.

On the first day, Arthus directly cleansed those innocent people and removed all the germs on them.

" ... filthy... "

"...."

"...."

"...."

Gil and others: * shrug * They are used to Arthus already. The dude didn't even let Adam touched anything before he does.

Another thing, Gil had become a tier 3 evolutionary and the rest are already tier 2. As for the base being doubtful about their speedy powering up had been quelled as Arthus had performed a ritual like show giving energy which lead to all the people believing that it is one of Arthus' ability.

As for the process, just left it as it is.

Therefore, even if there are people who held greed in their heart and mind, they had a sense of measure and throw away their thoughts.

They still cherish their lives and didn't want to offend Arthus.

Also Adam made an excuse that Arthus powering up had some limitations and can only be given to few number of people.

And for the number of people, there are only few slots left so Arthus refused to indiscriminately give it to anyone.

After hours of driving, the teams finally reached the city.

As expected...

The city is empty.

An empty city had no use for Adam. They don't even give something in return for the long journey.

As for supplies, it had been long ago looted by the army.

The  teams went the inspect all corners but even the sewer didn't have a trace of zombies left, aside from the casual rotten flesh from killed zombies long ago.

" Captain Adam, the city is pretty much empty and we can't get anything at all. Are we just going to return to the base? " A sturdy man called Jason, the captain of Blue Pegasus said.

He is an awakened that can manifest a winged horse made of blue flames that's why he named their team that way.

" We don't have enough fuel to make another long journey from here. We better return. " Said another man but this time a rather skinny one but not the malnourished looking type.

This man is another captain called Luke from Green Ape. The man is a support type awakened majoring in healing and minor enhancements. Among all the people here, Gil and the others was the closest to this guy.

" We better return then. "

" Arthus, make another round around the city and look for any clue. Before we leave, it's better to gain something than returned empty handed. "

" Yes...my [ lord ]. "

Arthus then left like a ghost and no one could see his trace anymore or even how he managed to disappear right in front of the people present.

" Sir Arthus truly lived up to his image. Powerful and cool! " Luke said in awe.

" Our base is very lucky to have such powerful person present. "

After 15 minutes, Arthus returned and said that the traces of zombies leads to further east.

Arthus found traces of thousands of zombies being led by a zombie with a lingering aura of a tier 4 advance zombie. ( metal controller zombie )

When the rest heard this, the faces of the rest of the people become ugly.

For them, tier 4 advance is already an unbeatable monster. Aside from sir Arthus, no one stood a chance.

In the furthest city in the eastern border of the northern region, a zombie numbering more than million can be seen flooding the city that even a spot of the ground can't be seen by how congested the number is.  

Aside from the northern region, zombies from other areas had been drawn too albeit few so the number had reached the terrifying amount. Not to mention that these zombies present are only mostly gathered from the eastern side. If all the zombies are gathered how terrifying it would be.

Eskelon standing on a platform made of rubbles then look at the army of zombies in front and made a satisfied grunt.

The metal controller zombie was on his left while the variant dog zombie stand on his right.

The zombie dog had been promoted to tier 4 at this time as many crystal nucleus from tier 4 zombies had been fed to it by Eskelon. Those tier 4 nucleus came from those zombies that resisted his rule and dared to escape.

Their ends..

All their heads were smashed and thrown to the side.

The terrifying number murmuring and groaning together gives off a very creepy vibe. If there is anyone present, their scalps will be numbed just watching the zombies stands their.

Eskelon then made his terrifying battle cry and with a strong leap, his 2 ton body made a beautiful arc and landed right in front of all the zombies.

When he marched, all zombies followed so.

And in that place, the biggest zombie march in the country occur.

And the goal of the march had been clear.

I open up my eyes and sit down on my bed and look at the clock.

"5 AM. It looks like Gamer Body really wakes me up at 5 AM. While it is great to wake up this early and feel refreshed, sometimes I want to sleep longer."

I get up from the bed and look at my window and see that the zombie has increased once again. After thinking about it for a few seconds, I decided to thin out the zombie in the front of my house with the crossbow before exploring the area once again.

"Let's do this."

~Three Hour Later~

I don't know how many zombies I killed, but I kept shooting and shooting before the zombie in front of my house decreased in number. Seeing there were only twenty or so zombies left in the street, I walked to the front door and began my journey to explore this instant dungeon as much as I can.

I walk to the east area. The opposite direction from the previous convenient store. This direction is the path to the local park.

I walk around the street, and my destination is the park. I want to see if there is another treasure chest in the park. However, as I got closer to the park, There is something weird with the enemy.

Among the usual humanoid zombies, there is a zombie dog among the horde.

"Observe"

It has a different status than a regular zombie. This type is stronger in terms of attack and speed. However, it has low health and can be killed with one shot even without any bonus attack.

I then aim my crossbow and press the trigger. I see the bolt fly away toward the zombie dog and hit it in the head, killing the zombie dog instantly.

I quickly reload as I see three zombies coming toward me. I easily take care of the enemy and continue to walk toward the park.

When I arrive near the park, I see a horde of zombies roaming the area. Among them, I see a level, two zombies.

"Thirty levels one zombie, six zombie dogs, and five LVL two zombie. This will be tough."

I aim my crossbow at the one standing nearest to my location and immediately kill it. When I kill the zombie, the rest of them immediately come at me. After I finish reloading, I shoot another bolt toward the incoming zombie dog. By doing this, I successfully kill two of them and switch to my sword and knife to finish them off.

When they come inside my range, I swing down my sword and cut the dog head with a single swing. However, as I kill one of them, I feel an intense pain coming from my leg. I look down and see one of the dogs bite my leg.

I quickly stab it with my knife and swing my sword to the right as I see another dog try to bite my neck. I also use my leg to kick the dog away from me and stab another dog that bites my left hand. I swing my sword and kill another one that tries to jump at me one more time and finish the last dog to my left with a quick stab from my knife.

Seeing all the dogs dead, I ran away from the park and led the zombie away from the park. While running, I quickly reload my crossbow and shoot at them. While running and shooting, I also drink the potion I have inside my inventory. When my HP is full, I fire the last bolts inside my quiver and switch the crossbow with my sword and knife.

I fight the zombie with a hit and run tactic. I use my sword to attack the zombie and immediately run away before they can attack me. However, even with my weapon in hand, the zombie has the number, and slowly I'm surrounded by the zombie from all directions.

I grit my teeth when I feel one of the zombies bite my neck, I immediately use my knife to stab the zombie, and when the zombie catches on fire, I quickly do a massive swing and slash three zombies at once.

After doing that, I began to run away from the zombie and take out another quiver full of bolts from my inventory. This is the last batch of my blessed bolts. I don't think I can clear the park with only this much bolts and equipment.

After reloading my crossbow, I shoot the zombie that chased me, and after shooting one of the zombies, I turn back and use my sword to stab the zombie, but before the other zombie could do anything, I immediately run away from them.

I continue to run from the zombie, but as I get closer to my home, the horde becomes bigger and bigger in number. Look like the zombie that has been respawned joining the horde I bring from the park.

This isn't good.

There is only one choice.

"Destroy ID"

After I say that, I can feel my body stop moving like the rest of the zombie before suddenly the world cracks like a window being hit by a brick. A second later, I see myself inside my bedroom. I look at the windows and see that I'm really back in the normal world.

"What a mess. In my current strength, I cannot go to another area yet. Status."

It looks like even after that, my EXP did not reach the one thousand mark. However, My STR and VIT stats are increased by two points for STR and VIT points. While I don't have any remarkable change in my body, I feel my body is slightly more light than before, but not much, though.

Do I need to reach ten points in STR to become slim? I need to try it then, but what if I only get muscle strength from my STR stats and not make my body thinner? While I like watching a strongman competition in my previous life, I don't want to become one of them.

I look at the clock and see the time before deciding to take a bath as I don't take a bath in the dungeon.

Anyway, I walk toward the kitchen and open up the shop and search for a cooking ingredient. The difference between cooked food and raw ingredients is so huge that I regret not preparing some food before using Instant Dungeon.

One kilo of ingredient cost me one point, and it didn't discriminate which ingredient I wanted to buy. One kilo of carrot has the same price as A5 Wagyu Beef meat. I don't know why the shop made the price like this, one fried rice with an egg can cost me two hundred points, and it didn't give me any buff effect or restore my HP, and I don't want to talk about the most expensive cooked food in the shop.

Anyway, I bought the ingredients for my breakfast. Of course, I buy A5 Wagyu Beef because even though my parents are rich, they didn't eat Wagyu Beef for breakfast.
