Setelah mengikuti Undangan dari Departemen PAKZ, Viona bergegas pulang kerumah menggunakan sebuah mobil milik keluarganya yang masih bisa digunakan. Di perjalanan pulang dia dikejutkan oleh satu Zombie dengan pakaian Aneh dan itu berbeda dan dibelakangnya Zombie itu diikuti oleh segerombol Zombie lainnya yang memiliki wajah seram. Viona bingung harus berbuat apa?

Sampai dirasa, Zombie itu menunjukan badannya sisi pintu mobil. Karena takut, Viona segera menancap gas mobil untuk menghindar dan meninggalkan Zombie tadi.

Satu Minggu telah berlalu. Viona menjadi bagian anggota PAKZ sebuah uji coba. Atau bisa dikatakan PAKZ memilih anggota yang cocok dengan tes DNA untuk dipasangkan dengan Zombie yang bisa diselamatkan dengan cara 'Ikatan Takdir/ Perkawinan'.

Pada malam hari Viona dikejutkan Zombie itu lagi, yang pernah menghentikan dia dijalan. Zombie itu entah mengapa memiliki tatapan aneh dan tanpa diketahui oleh Viona. Zombie itulah yang akan menjadi Takdir baginya.

Proxima O is classified as an Earth class planet. Either, the planet is roughly the same size or has the same total amount of resources to humans' ancestral home planet, Earth.

Proxima O houses 2.8 billion people, all citizens of the White Horse Kingdom. That said, it is a concern how can ten million servicemen stationed throughout the planet, safeguard more than two billion people from the infected.

Data simulations suggest is that it is utterly impossible. However, some scientists debated that it is still plausible in certain circumstances. In addition, the region affected can be cut off so that the plague won't spread further.

Meanwhile, Axel's lovely violet eyes widened welcoming this new day into this new world.

Axel slowly opened his eyes as he focused on the new unfamiliar ceiling. Sitting and looking around the room, his eyes became familiar with her as he remembered everything that happened the day before.

Looking at his right hand and clenching it into a fist, Axel felt the strength of his now new evolved body.

Averting his gaze to his right side and seeing the large lump forming on his sheet, Axel reached out his hand and discovered the mature beauty below.

With great affection and love, Axel reached out his hand and began to caress the delicate face of the beauty with it.

Feeling her loving touch, Zhang Jingqiao's head couldn't help but snuggle into Axel's big hand forming a smile on her face.

After a few minutes of enjoying the pleasant sight of his new and first lover sleeping, Axel decided it was time to get up and get ready for this new day.

Getting up from the bed and stretching his body, Axel took one last look at Zhang Jingqiao's body as he made his way to the door of the room.

Axel left the room and walked to the bathroom to take a good shower and clean his sticky body from the activities he did last night.

Finishing his shower as he towel-dried his short black hair, Axel couldn't help but feel like he was forgetting something important.

"Shit I have no clothes!" Axel said to himself as a wry smile formed on his face.

Because they didn't have time to get supplies yesterday, Axel only had the clothes he had been wearing while in college.

Shaking his head and deciding to ask Shana if she had clothes, Axel emerged from the bathroom with only a towel around his waist.

Walking towards the kitchen to find something to fill his stomach, Axel saw most of the girls chatting in the living room, the only one missing was Zhang Jingqiao and it was evident that it was going to take a while to get out of bed.

"Good morning girls! I hope you slept well!" Axel said as he greeted them with a smile.

The girls listen to it stiffen for a moment.

"Sleep well? Are you really asking us if we sleep well? With my mother's damn moans ringing all night, I doubt that any of us have been able to sleep well! Next time try to avoid fucking like rabbits in heat and consider others please!"  Zhang Jingwei answered him while yelling at him.

Axel hearing his words his smile becomes rigid for a moment.

"Eh... were we really too loud?..."

"Heh, I can still remember Aunt Jinqiao's screaming" Chloe said as she looked at him with a small smile.

"Hai ~, I can't wait for you to make me scream the same way ~" Ashala whispered in his ear as she hugged him from behind, starting to slide her fingers down his toned chest.

Axel hearing her sensual whisper and feeling her fingers touching his body, can't help but get a little excited.

"Ashala, by God, could you stop seducing him and behaving? We still need to prepare for today" Zhang Jingwei spoke out loud to get the attention of others.

Axel hearing his words regains his sense and agrees "Jingwei is right, after all are ready we will go to find the supplies and if possible our relatives"

All the girls nod and start to prepare.

Axel seeing that they all left, quickly prevents Shana from taking her arm.

"Shana wait, do you happen to have men's clothes? I don't have any change of clothes left..."

"Yes, I still have some clothes that belonged to my father" Shana said as she took him by the hand and led him to her room.

""Did it belong?" Did something happen to your parents?"

"Yes, unfortunately they died in a car accident 3 years ago ... At that time I was living alone, it's just that from time to time they came to see me and sometimes they forgot their clothes here" Shana replied with a sad voice as they entered  the room.

"I see ... I'm really sorry"

"Mn, don't worry"

Shana then started looking for the clothes in her closet. Finding the clothes she was looking for, Shana turned around and showed them to Axel.

"Ready here you go" Shana spoke with a smile.

It was a Hawaiian shirt and shorts of the same theme, basically the perfect outfit to go to the beach.

"Uh ... well, I guess it works," Axel said to himself as he took the clothes.

"Well thank you very much Shana, see you in a moment" Axel said as he said goodbye.

Shana just nodded, biting her lower lip as she watched his broad back drift away.

Minutes later ~

Axel and his girls were already ready and prepared for the adventure, Zhang Jingqiao had already woken up although she was embarrassed after knowing that her moans and screams were heard throughout the house.

Getting into the vehicle with the others, Axel decided to ask about their levels.

"Sakura, what level are you currently at?"

"Level 4" Sakura replied bluntly.

Nodding Axel turned to look at Ashala.

"I went up to level 5" Ashala said with a smile.

"Well ... after I finish gathering supplies I need you to help the others level up." Axel continued while looking at the other girls" It may be a bit harsh at first, but it is necessary, you have to have enough strength in case I am not with you" they all nodded with a solemn look.

"Okay, let's go to the nearest supermarket" Axel said as he looked at Shana.

Shana understanding it, just nodded as she guided them.

After approaching the supermarket and parking the vehicle on the corner, Axel spoke.

"I'll just go clean any zombie inside, we don't know how evolved or strong they have become, so I'll go research, meanwhile, you guys stay here and wait for me"

Nodding helplessly, the girls accepted and wished him luck.

Getting out of the vehicle and preparing his dark sword, Axel walked towards the supermarket. Once inside he began to move and look for any possible enemy.

Walking through the silent corridors, seeing some lights blink intermittently due to the damage done, Axel began to focus on whatever noise his ears could detect.

The minutes passed, Axel continued walking through the corridors, some other merchandise was lying on the floor and some shelves were empty, apparently Axel was not the only one to have come here to find resources.

Even when Axel did not hear or see any zombie, he still did not feel calm, his muscles tensed and his senses sharpened as more time passed. The place was calm and quiet, but even with all that, Axel only felt more anxious.

After investigating the corridors, Axel started walking towards the warehouse.

But just before entering it. Axel felt a look behind him. Turning around quickly, Axel could see a small fuzzy shape moving fast so he could hide.

Axel, knowing that he finally found the thing he was feeling so nervous about, sped up and chased after the creature.

Reaching for it with ease, Axel grabbed the creature's head and threw it hard onto one of the shelves.

The poor creature could only crash hard against the shelf, causing complete chaos inside the supermarket.

Approaching the crash site, Axel was finally able to see the creature's appearance in more detail.

It seemed to be some kind of zombie, it was small, about the size of a child, it had grayish blue skin like a ghost, it had compact muscles that together with its small size gave it an agile appearance, and unlike normal zombies this  it had rather sharp claws.

After seeing his appearance, Axel started looking at his information.

[Zombie S1 Level 12: Infected evolved agility type. It has terrifying speed. Ability Viral infection, infection can turn life forms into infected beings.]

"An agility-type zombie huh?... in that case there should also be Force, Intelligence and Spirit-type zombies, although this last attribute still doesn't know what it is for... anyway the one that worries me the most is the intelligence type, if those bastards evolve to have the intelligence of a human, our race could become cattle or be totally eradicated..." Axel said with narrowed eyes as he lifted his foot and crushed the head of the zombie turning it into a paste  of meat.

"What a damn problem"

Kio was surprised after he inspected Luna because his [Inspect] skill had never shown ??? before.

When Kio reacted differently after looking at her, she also noticed this small detail and stared back.

Since all the other slaves were downcast and lowered their heads, he hadn't looked at any of them closely.

However, for the first time since he came here, he made eye contact with a slave.

Taking a more detailed look at her eyes, he noticed the glimmer inside of it.

'This girl… her eyes are still full of life, unlike all of the other slaves here who had given up hope.'

After looking at her, he knew he had to make a decision.

"Dammit…"

Stuck in a dilemma that could affect their whole group, Kio resolved himself and took a deep breath.

Next, he took a step forward towards her direction.

While Jay was deciding on which path they should take, he noticed Kio walking towards the slaves and asked, "Hey Kio, what are you doing…?"

Ignoring his question, Kio moved forward.

Riko released her grip on his clothes after she realized what he is about to do.

She was happy about his decision since she knew that under his cold exterior, he was actually soft-hearted, mainly towards the people that he cared about.

Although he chose not to save the slum inhabitants earlier, she understood the logic behind his words.

However, these slaves are different.

Losing their freedom, they can only live out the rest of their lives in a cage until somebody buys them.

Being treated as a merchandise is something that no human being should ever experience.

Although there were some non-human races inside the cages, Riko believed that they were similar enough to human beings for her to treat them as one.

After Kio reached the cage that Luna was trapped in, he asked, "Oi, you over there, what's your name?"

Although he already knew her name, he wanted to start a conversation with her first, to know what kind of person she is.

"...?"

The slave girl was confused about his question.

"Why… do you ask? Are you planning to buy me?"

Hearing her voice, Kio realized that she still had a hint of pride within it, as if she was a noble.

"Although that wasn't my intention, let's just say if you answer my questions, I'll help you out."

"???"

The slave girl became further confused after she heard his reply.

'Why does he want to ask me questions if he isn't planning to buy me? I can't even escape from here since I'm bound by the slave crest.'

Although she had questions in her mind, she felt like she should at least try answering his questions.

"My name is Luna."

"I see. What's your class?"

"...I cannot tell you."

"Eh? Why?"

"It is a tradition passed down among my clansmen. Aside from our own people, we can only inform our race and class to the person who will be our fated partner."

"Huh? Aren't you human?"

Looking closely at her again, Kio could only describe her as a beautiful human girl, although she is now covered in dirt and grime.

"..."

Seeing Luna remain silent, he decided to ask something else.

"Fine, I won't ask you about your race or class. How did you become a slave?"

"I was captured by humans when I left my home for a stroll. Although there are usually guards near me when I leave, I wanted to try sneaking out by myself that day. After testing out my skills in secret, I became exhausted afterwards and ran into humans. You can probably guess the rest... I was captured and sold to a slave trader."

'Why does this sound so cliche? Well, I guess if she gets infected and turned into a zombie, it's not so cliche anymore.' That was the first thought that came to Kio's mind after he heard about her story.

"I see. I have one last question for you." 

"What is it?" A hint of excitement could be seen in her eyes, as she expected him to ask if she wanted to be free.

"Do you want to live?"

"Hahh?"

Luna subconsciously voiced out, since his last question was a little different from her guess.

"Well?" Even though Kio wanted to know why she was so perplexed, he wanted to know her answer first.

"Can you please explain your question? I thought you were going to ask if I wanted to be free."

"Heh… you want to be set free. Do you even know why we were fleeing towards this direction?"

"???"

"Well, there were zombies chasing us a few minutes ago."

"Zombies?"

"Ah, I guess you might not know about them, since they were summoned here. Well, if you get scratched or bitten by one of these zombies, you die shortly after and become one of them."

"!?!"

Luna became shocked after hearing about the deadly zombies that appeared in this city. Although she doesn't know much about the world outside her home, she has enough strength to defend herself in a normal situation. But based on what he told her, she might be in danger if she had to fight these zombies alone, since a mere wound would transform her into one of them.

After giving Luna a moment to process his words, Kio asked again, "So? You still didn't answer my question yet. I didn't ask if you wanted to be free because I don't want to see you turn into a zombie shortly after I save you."

After she heard his words, Luna calmed answered, "I want to live."

"Heh, alright. Step back then"

Raising his sword above his head, Kio swung it down with all his strength against the lock at the center of the cage.

*Clang*

A loud metallic sound erupted as his sword became a bit chipped.

However, the lock was still in one piece.

"..."

Trying not to show his embarrassment, Kio swung his sword towards the lock again.

*Cling*

Despite his attempts to break the lock, he lacked the power to do so.

'Fuck! If I had a strength-based class, this would've been easy. I can't even ask Jay for help, otherwise I'd make a fool of myself.' 

Feeling a bit ashamed of himself, Kio thought of another method that he could use.

"Luna, can you hold the sword handle?"

After positioning the sword horizontally, with its tip facing the lock, Kio asked Luna to hold the sword steady.

"Alright," Luna nodded and did as he asked.

Kio then released the sword and took a step back.

"Let go of the sword the moment I make contact with it, otherwise you might hurt your hands."

Giving her a warning of what he's about to do, Kio proceeded to use [Haste].

Feeling his legs become stronger, he launched a kick at the end of the sword handle.

*CLANG*

The lock broke and flew out of sight.

Seeing Kio's sword fly a few meters away to the side, Riko quickly went to retrieve it for him.

'Luckily that worked. After looking at the skill description of [Haste], I knew it wasn't simply a movement speed skill.'

Breathing a sigh of relief, Kio removed the remaining bits of the lock and opened the cage.

Although Luna could easily break the lock herself if it wasn't for the slave crest, nonetheless she was amazed at the power displayed by the man in front of her who appeared to be extremely weak.

From the moment Kio walked towards the slaves, everyone else had been observing his actions.

After he freed a slave, Jay decided to do the same and save even more, lest he risk losing his leader position to Kio. Jay had wanted to free them all along, but he didn't want to raise any criticisms in case some of them objected.

"Guys! Let's go free all of these slaves!" Jay commanded, as he ran towards the cages.

Ren and Akira quickly followed behind him, excited to gain some slave followers.

Licking his lips, Ren was heading towards the cages filled with women who had visibly larger chests. Meanwhile, Akira was heading for the stronger looking slaves, planning to find suitable people to recruit into his party.

With each of them having their own motives, they began freeing the slaves.

*Clang* *Cling*

Jay and Ren used their skills to quickly free the slaves, while Akira struggled due to his low level and lack of any powerful skills from his Plunderer class.

With all the ruckus being made, a snobbish-looking person walked out of the building followed by a few of his bodyguards.

"W-w-what are you guys doing!? Who gave you permission to free my goods?!"

With a face full of confidence, Jay answered him, "We're only doing what's right."

"Haaaah? Aren't you afraid of being captured by the guards for stealing my merchandise?"

"Heh," Jay smirked and continued with his actions, ignoring the slave owner's threats.

"Guys! Didn't you all complain about having nothing to do earlier? Go kill these brats!" The slave owner ordered his bodyguards to do their jobs, fuming at being ignored by the kid in front of him.

"Yes!"

Acknowledging the slave owner's words, 4 muscular adventurers walked towards Jay while emitting an intimidating aura.

"Although my strongest bodyguards are taking a break at the plaza, these four are enough to handle you brats."

Hearing the slave owner's words, Jay and the rest of his group were glad that there would be no reinforcements, if their assumptions are correct.

At the age of 22, Kio was on the way to work when screams were heard all around him. The source of all the shouting and screaming comes from man-eating humans, otherwise known as zombies. After looking for food and shelter, Kio and other people near him are trapped in a store, with zombies right outside. Shortly after, the floor beneath the group lights up due to a teleportation circle. Successfully summoning a hero into the Aeon Kingdom, the king and princess rejoice to the bright future ahead of them, but little do they know, they have brought in a catastrophe to their kingdom…
