The slaughter amongst the zombies soon ended. The final winner wasn't the middle-aged female zombie, but a slim, weak-looking male zombie. 
It looked like advantages in one's physical body were useless after turning into a zombie. The female zombie was the brutal type but after being attacked by a few zombies at the same time, she soon lost her stamina. Although she never meant to back off, she didn't have enough strength to attack. The male zombie, on the other hand, was unremarkable as he didn't couldn't even touch the female zombie. However, he lived to the end due to his agile movements. 
More than ten dead zombies laid by his feet and he wasn't modest with it as he began to gnaw on them. 
Although the process looked disgusting, Ling Mo forced himself to concentrate on the zombie's movements as he wanted to know how they evolved. 
There wasn't anything special; he drank and ate the other zombies' flesh just like other zombies. But when he bit off the head of that female zombie, he suddenly rolled on the ground crazily. 
"What the hell is happening?" 
The lighting was dim at night and he was from the scene, but his spiritual power was strong enough to hear the noises from a rather far distance. His vision was also better, but it was unrealistic for him to see all the male zombie's movements clearly from such distance. 
Luckily, the zombie returned to normal soon but after he stood back up, he had no interest in other dead bodies anymore.

He had eaten too much even for a zombie. Perhaps his stomach would explode if he continued to eat. 
But after he finished eating it, he lifted his head up and roared in a low voice. His voice was soft but Ling Mo was startled. 
Would the zombie mutate? Although he was far from there, Ling Mo could see that the red glow in his eyes became brighter. When he roared, his skeleton seemed to be cracking. Although it was only a feeling, Ling Mo thought that he saw it! The zombie's body relaxed and the bloodthirst in his eyes became even more blazing. 
A mutated zombie! Although the male zombie was weaker than the other mutated zombies he saw, a mutated zombie was born right in front of his eyes! 
Ling Mo immediately became excited. He knew that the smell of blood would attract other zombies over soon. He controlled Ye Lian to dash behind the zombie while it was still roaring and mutating!

When the zombie was reborn into a mutated zombie, it became the first unlucky zombie who was knocked out by his same kind and he was now getting dragged on the floor. 
Ye Lian's slim body dragged a fully grown adult male zombie at ease. There were no zombies in the shop beneath their room and Ling Mo headed downstairs to open and lock the door for Ye Lian without any concerns
"Researching a zombie…" 
Ling Mo rubbed his hands excitedly as he sat down in front of the zombie as soon as they returned to the room. 


When disaster struck, Ling Mo finally realized that the kind of zombie portrayed in movies surrounding the apocalypse was not exactly the same as the ones he saw in reality… 
The only thing Ling Mo should focus on in the apocalypse is survival, but from the moment he picked up his girlfriend from an abandoned bus, his life track began to run towards an uncontrollable direction...
