I walk through my dreams like I've lived a whole life there, most times they are about a recent book I read. That is one of the things I do a lot and I'm not just saying that I really do read almost all day long. If I'm not reading I am probably watching some movie or anime series, yes you can probably guess I haven't done much with my life. let's start where it all began.

Back in middle school I loved to read books so much so that when I was grounded they took away my books instead of saying I couldn't go out with friends or no tv/games. yes I was a pretty strange kid compared to some being a 12 year old in America at the time(2012 No less). when I was grounded my next best thing was video games because they told stories as well at the time my video game collection was pretty sparce using an old dell business computer that ran windows xp (let's just say I got really good at minesweeper). even before I found books video games were still present. I still remember my mom gifting me an original Xbox she won in a contest it came with one game and it was a racing game not a lot of story just races.

After a while of getting in trouble I got grounded while i was grounded so I lost games as well suffice to say my box of legos was not very entertaining for a 12 year old mainly because I didn't like to make things up myself it felt so tedious that I had to work so hard to make up shapes and other things people already. i also didn't have many friends so instead I slept, and I slept hard. I don't remember much of my dreams then but I do remember one that was about magic and there was a really dark forest that went on forever in a sea of trees, other than that though I don't remember.
A couple of months later I was officially free and it felt like freedom I got to read again, it was so much fun, I would imagine it being like a drowning mans next breath of air. I didn't goto sleep that night instead I stayed up reading, when morning came I was tired but the book just got to THAT PART that is just so interesting and catching you can't stop, i read through that day as well. after dinner I got so tired I slept couldn't keep reading.
the next morning felt so sluggish like the morning after you get drunk but not enough for a hangover. well after a week of being late for school because I was busy reading parents up an sold all my books. ALL of them like really I was almost done reading them! I never read another book until after basic training 4 or 5 years later.
things changed after I lost my collection I switched to video games and because they didn't want me up all night reading whenever Christmas came around it was games instead of books. birthday? video game. my dad was an avid gamer always tried to keep his pc updated and sent old games I could run on my pc to me. me and my dad were always great at games but I could never compete with him, and it totally didn't have to do with me playing the games for the stories instead of for the high scores(of you can't tell this sentence is sarcasm read this again).

flash forward to the start of high school I was big on video games by then my computer had upgraded to a brand new one from my birthday me and my dad built it together good memories there. I remember when i tried to play morrowwind on it. that was when I realised I didn't like challenging games i liked to play and get the story, maybe different endings (those were my favorite).

at the start of high school I didn't really have a lot of friends because I didn't have many in middle school. my dad recommended me to join the ROTC there, he said he did and he had fun when he was in high school. So I did and the first year was fun and it started with ROTC especially when I started competing. I had so much fun I spent 14 hours of day at school I woke up at 5 to get to practice went to school than got home around 7 after the other practice you can imagine I didn't have a lot of time for video games especially because all that practice was physally demanding. 

1 year later 2 year in high school this I would consider the real start of high school for you actually have to do something to pass your classes I met a girl in my math class (insert joke about about girls causing problems in highschool here [ps: this is the joke I'm not sexist]). We started talking about a lot of things our school football team things like that, than we got to books she loved to read book I got to see her library once well less of a library and more of a whole wall of books and all books I wanted to read. her name was Alex I had the biggest crush on her at one point than found out she was lesbian so we kinda grew apart shallow I know but it's high school things like this happen. anyways after seeing those books some of them I used to read myself I started to want to read again, but I had no books i was still forbidden to read so I put my frustration put on video games during this time I was playing a lot of modern warfare 2 I loved the story and the way it flowed but it was really the first game I really played on steam I have logged over 500 hours  on that game alone I got every achievement for single player even the ones for veteran difficulties and also got most for the multiplayer which at this point I had everything unlocked and was max level I loved the multi player.

at this point I was starting to show up late sometimes to practice because I wasn't sleeping early enough. I went one more year like that and over summer I played so many video  games I swear I dreamt about sheaperd in mw2 around this time skyrim came out and I played the heck out of it  (I didn't get as many hours of playtime because 3rd year of high school is the hardest around 200hours). 3rd year rolls around I've dropped out of all practices because it was all boring again nothing new same old stuff. I was still busy keeping my grades up especially that foreign language credit that is needed to graduate.

4th year felt like being a freshman again except youre the one who makes fun of the freshmen.

nothing important happened then so I graduated and I wanted adventure something new so I went and joined the US Airforce. If I knew what I knew about it than I would have waited unroll now to join. long story short my addiction to video games got the better of me some nights during training and I ended up sleeping in, combined with my selective forgetfulness  (I kid you not I forgot my boots one time). luckily I wasn't in that long so I got an entry level discharge (look it up if you don't know) after I got back I found books to read online and read I did but because I didn't have school and at the time no work to deal with

this is about the time where I realised something special about my dreams.

at one point in high school I played a game where you create your own games and other people play them but this wasn't like legos using only blocks this was a program and once they started to abandon the Lego building style I started to learn it you could import meshes from other programs like blender so I started learning how to use it during this time I started dreaming up wire frames i wanted to tell a story using this game a story without words. I spent a long time on this and I can say to this day that I am self taught at how to use blender and that I ended up really famous on that game for my builds

that was the first clue because I was spending so long learning how to use blender I started dreaming up wire frames or if I was having a really hard time with a specific thing I would dream how it looked and be able to re create it the next day.

now after my attempt at trying to get a stable job i went back to reading. It started out with books i had already read then spread and spread till I found whole websites filled with books to read some exciting some not and they all had one HUGE thing in common they were all fiction and that's what I like. the wilder the better.

one day I met a girl and we planned on getting married and we had a kid a beautiful daughter we named Angela love her so much. I don't know what happened after we came out of the hospital after she gave birth she said she was through with me and left. that hurt a lot so I went back to reading and read I did the stories around this time were mainly reincarnation stories in another world I swear I had a dream at one point i was reincarnated into alegasea  (if you don't know you haven't lived).

this is where I realised my dreams make for the best stories and I tried to write a story about a specific dream once or twice. It never turned out well. Now I'm in college for networking taking a Cisco class (super boring) so my dreams are extra vivid further making me want to write those stories out but they never seem to tell the story how I want then to but right now this one is working does this count as 4th wall break? (lol couldn't resist the humor there [and don't say it was bad because you thought it was funny at some point deep deeeep down you just don't know it])

a story about a man and his dreams that might mean he is insane or might just love books too much. don't listen to the voices in your head about this one because the pink platypusbear that sleeps like a bat doesn't like your drugs.

July 20XX, 4 Years Before the teleportation of Ace's class.
Ace walked lifelessly towards the library having to experience the death of his mother. He held an apathetic expression throughout his walk not caring at all what may happen to him. Although he lost his last parent he only felt empty not knowing of what to expect of his life, he felt little sadness walking like a soulless shell wandering the neighbourhood. He lacked a purpose in life now, where previously he lived to make his mother proud and now that she is gone its as if he felt there was no reason to live.
In this time Freya's family has taken him in until Ace is of age to live by himself in his house, provided that if he can move past the death of his mother. 
"See you tomorrow Ace!" A young Warren ran off with his equipment but stopped to say goodbye to his friend.
"Ah, good luck in your club activities" Ace replied nonchalantly.
"Thanks, today's the big day I'll win that trophy for sure!" Warren excitedly gestured gripping his fist tightly to show his confidence.
Warren during this time knew nothing of Ace's situation as he just understood that Ace was his usual apathetic self. He ran off to join his other club members while Ace walked alone on his way to the library.
After a few minutes of walking, Ace eventually stepped into the library he was looking for one of the books he often reads titled 'An Empty Human'  a book that Ace relates to himself. The book itself is not popular but rather under-appreciated as quoted by his mother. His mother was a known writer who wrote under a specific pen name it was thanks to her royalties that Ace can live a satisfying life without the need of working but he cannot with the empty feeling in his soul.
He went into the aisle where the book was located and the moment he reached his hands for the book a girl to his right also placed her hands on the corner of the book.
"Ah, my bad I didn't know this book was also read by someone else." The girl said.
The girl right beside Ace held an intelligent flair, she styled her hair with loose pigtails and wore a Da Vinci academy uniform indicating that she is at least 2 years older than Ace as he is currently in middle school in his 8th year of schooling.
"Oh, it's fine. I already read that book several times. I'll just read something else." Ace said to her.
"You've read Albert's novel that many times? He wasn't that well known of a writer and yet, you know about it."
"I usually visit this library to read works from authors that barely anyone goes to." 
"Like who?" The girl asked.
"Uh... Like Albert right there, Dazai, Hines, and Barret..." Ace answered. 
"Those are some articulate writers you've got there. It's rare to meet people like you that hold similar interests. I also read Albert's novel a few times as well. He captures the human psyche of struggling individuals who try to find a purpose in life."
"Yeah... I was told to read his works. His writing sort of resonates with me."
"Right...?! It's too bad he met an unfateful end. His work is slowly getting recognition right after his suicide."
"Its the kind of mindset that his writing sort of builds up the reasonings behind his death."
"I also think that too...!"
This was a first for Ace to open up to a mere stranger. When it came to talking with Warren or any other of his friends. He has never talked about writers and books to anyone other than his mother who has recently passed away in this time. Slowly Ace began to feel drawn into talking to this girl, wondering what kind of literary works she has read.
"Ah, by the way, my name is Luna. What's yours?"
"Ace..." He replied.
"Hmm... oh you go to the Fortuna middle school. I'm amazed that someone like you has an interest in these literary writers you mentioned before."
"Is it because I'm a bit younger than you?" 
"Well with each new generation acting more childish I'd assume that interests change as well. And you're different from what I imagined from a middle schooler." Luna said bluntly.
Ace didn't know whether to take that as a compliment or insult but said his thanks anyway.
"Thanks..."
"If you're interested, do you want to read some of the literary works I'd recommend? If you read the works from the writers you mentioned then you'll like the ones I have in mind."
"Oh...? Sure."
From that moment on Ace and Luna began talking to each other more once school has ended. They would exchange their contact details on social media and would begin talking to each other about the books they'd recommend. The moment school ends they'd meet with each other in the library talking about their thoughts of the recent chapter they've read. Ace slowly felt less empty and he enjoyed his time with Luna. Their relationship progressed to the point that Ace wanted to spend more time with her, doing whatever she wanted or giving excuses on asking her to meet up.
One day when Ace was meeting with Luna he found her surrounded by a group of 3 girls. They had the same uniform as her indicating that they all go to the same High School. Ace assumed they were friends until he noticed the tone on Luna's voice.
"What is it now? I'm not bothered dealing with a bunch of dolls right now." Luna sighed as she conveyed her annoyance in a condescending tone.
"Why don't you shut up Luna! I don't get why Elias has eyes for you?! You're like... a 6/10 if anything you are ugly while Danielle worked hard to be noticed by Elias!" Girl A said.
"There are plenty of other girls prettier than you and yet, you still act cocky knowing Elias wants to ask you out." Girl B added.
"I don't see him the way he sees me. He's just a good classmate." Luna replied.
"And look at you acting so haughty I've worked so hard...!1" Girl C joined in.
"Do you even know the meaning behind that word? My attitude right now does not show any of that. I'm quite annoyed you're wasting your time breathing near me. Just because the three of you talked down many of the other girls doesn't mean I'll simply back down after being outnumbered like this. Sorry to say but please get out of my way."
"WHY YOU!" Girl A aimed to slap Luna in the face where Ace stepped in grabbing the girl's arm.
"Can you please stop? I thought High School girls were supposed to be mature not some group of whining kids." Ace stated.
"Ace you didn't have to jump in," Luna said to him.
"Wow, who's this your boyfriend? Look at him... so that's why you're not interested in Elias. Because you're dating this cutie." Girl A said.
"Huh...? He's not even in high school. That's the middle school on the other side." Girl C said as she looked at his uniform.
"Wow, So Luna is into younger guys huh...?" Girl A turned her head towards Luna.
"What do you even see in Luna anyway? You could've gone with anyone else." Girl B asked him.
"Unlike you guys, she's someone with a brain. Now get lost, as Luna said you're wasting your time here."
"Tch...! This is no fun, Let's go girls." Girl C ordered.
Ace went to Luna who looked perfectly fine. He thought he would've expected a weak expression from her after being confronted like that but to his surprise Luna was calm.
"Thanks. I probably would've retaliated with a punch." Luna bowed.
"That's something a normal girl wouldn't say." 
"What do you define as normal? Like those bitches? Or a child? Like yourself, we're all different and we all have different ways to react to a situation like that." Luna shrugged her shoulders. "Still, I see you have inherited my way of talking somewhat." Luna held a small smile on her last sentence.
"Well... I thought I could feel mature if I acted a bit like you."
"Is there such a reason? We're friends, aren't we? Are you worried about the age gap? Actually... what year are you?"
"Year 8."
"And I'm a first-year in high school. Two-year difference. I'm not treating you any different from my friends."
"It's a good way to learn how to have a sharp tongue." Ace held a small smile.
"Haha... you're right." 
"I booked a study room again. I need your help with some of my subjects."
"Again...? Is it math?"
"Yeah..."
Within the study room, Luna tutored Ace in various subjects. Even going so far to help Ace learn the year 9 material so he can potentially go into a good high school. Which already he has decided to aim for Luna's school, a highly academic academy that anyone of economic background or diligent individuals who want to attend a well-known school.
"You want to go to Da Vinci's academy...?" Luna asked.
"It's close to home. And going to a school like that it would look good for universities." 
"And what are you planning to do after school?"
Ace paused. He tried to come up with any potential jobs but looked apathetic as he gave up. 
"Well, it's still too early for you to think about the future."
"What about you Luna?" 
Luna didn't expect Ace to ask about her future as she herself was is still in the processing of identifying her strengths.
"Oh... I'm also like you. I'm unsure as well. My parents suggested that I try to aim for the literary world. But my writing right now is... well I'm unsure what to think of it right now."
"You write?"
"Quite so. Care to read my draft? I typed it up last week. Though it needs some refinements." Luna spun her laptop to Ace's side. After a quick skim Ace became interested in the concept.
Her draft talked about the psyche of a character living their life in this day of age. Much so that it related to both Ace and Luna themselves. People finding their purpose in life, the reason they want to continue living in this world. It was only the introduction Luna typed but Ace was hooked on her writing.
"That is a problem in this day in age. We're all following a process, going to school then once we're done we're out in the wild trying to find something to do." 
"Right? It's because in this contemporary age. It's all about trying to find joy in life. Whether that be through family, wealth or sense of duty. But realistically, wealth and economy play a role in shaping what we want to do and how our world works. Just because one wants to do a specific job it doesn't mean they'll always get to do it. In the end, there's a chance we might do some job we don't want to do just for the sake of living." Luna explained.
Having been drawn to her insightfulness Ace reflected upon himself whether he'd be that type of person who may not be able to find a purpose in life.
"It's not just wealth. It's also about individuals in a predicament on why they should live for the sake of it." Ace added.
"Haha, you're right. Albert's 'An Empty Human' focused more on that
"But if I ever finish this book. I want to end it with a positive note. Is that naive thinking of me?" 
"No, if there are people like me I'd feel hopeful if you somehow give some sort of encouragement. Let me know when you have written more your writing is very interesting." 
"Sure." Luna smiled.
Everything about Luna, Ace was drawn into. Her intellect, her insightful thoughts of life, her habits and dislikes. Ace knew that he was not an empty shell. He is a man that holds feelings for a girl who does not see him the way he sees her knowing that his fascination with Luna is building up to love.
"Though... I wish to try to type up more. The students at the academy are quite corrupt. Being there is a pain that I don't feel like writing at times and at home I'm often tired to do so." Luna held an annoyed expression.
"That sounds like a big problem."
"It is, it makes me think what if we had a disciplinary committee. Like that would ever work, if I ran something like that then all the bullying with be redirected to me."
"That makes it easier to find out who doesn't deserve to be in such a well-known school. It'll be easier to thin out the corruption knowing who wants you down."
"Aren't you a schemer, but if you're going to go to the same high school I might as well suggest this concept of discipline."
"Hopefully that will work."  
"If it does. I can read and write with peace."

1 FEBRUARY, MONDAY, START!
Tada! I'm not sure if you noticed, but I hadn't been dating my diary. Mostly because it didn't occur to me. But I was reading my previous entries... speed reading. Wow, I just drone on and on don't I?
Anyway, it was hard to keep track of the days. So I came up with the ingenious idea of dating my diary, which turned out to be the standard practice.
Better late than never.
And I'm glad I'm keeping a diary, especially since last month had turned out to be rather eventful. I hadn't realized how exciting high school life would be. Now I know why there were so many stories and TV shows about high schoolers.
Anyway, Monday started pretty blue, which would usually be my favorite color, except that I really wasn't in the mood for bad jokes so early in the morning. Even if I was the one cracking it.
By the time I showered and got into my school uniform and realized that Savy was still in bed and won't be getting up anytime soon because she had no school today. No one else in our packland had school today due to the memorial service the school was holding in honor of Grandpa Alpha.
Let's just say, it only got bluer from there.
At breakfast, Mum reminded me about Grandpa Alpha's memorial later in the evening and told me to come straight home after school, and would Ki be able to pick me up from the station?
Ki informed mum that he would be at the Lorent's for a couple of days. Rebel had stopped dream travelling since Saturday and there were some urgent meetings and administrative issues that he had better go handle on our future Luna's behalf. He would try to return as soon as possible.
Ki looked pretty blue about the situation too. I already knew this, but Ki didn't really like his old life at the Lorent pack. He never sounded particularly pleased to have to go over. Actually, neither did Mate.
It's nothing like the way I imagined I would feel if I could take a chance to come home when I put myself in their shoes. For Ki and Bell, they talked about having to go home in a monotone, the way someone might have to go back to the store because they forgot to buy milk, but wanted to sound adult about it.
The way I would say I had to go to school today - when no one else in my pack and the majority of the Green Packland had to go to school.
The majority of the youth population in the whole Green Packland had no school because New Leaf Academy had students from all over our packlands. This made Dean's parents' idea to start a boarding house near the school sound like an excellent business proposition... except for the fact that New Leaf Academy had its own boarding house too. But I heard that Dean's mum planned to offer their boarding house as a second home type of environment, where they would supervise the kids staying there along with their own.
Most of the minor packs sent their children here. The other kids are home schooled. The Lorents had their own elite schools. And of course, there was me, who had a special visa to travel 4 hours a day to get to and from school.
The more I thought about it, the bluer I felt.
Working through homework in the train ride didn't help matters. There was a lot of math, which I hated. I don't usually like admitting I hated math. It made me feel less intelligent than people who liked or didn't mind math.
Anyway, this is my diary, so no one would know if I said it here: I hate math. I actually skipped steps and allowed for a few "mistakes" in the longer questions of my math homework, just so that I could get over it quicker. Like if the problem sum got too long, I simplified it for them. Of course the answer would be wrong, but at least the blank was filled out with something that could pass off as a sincere attempt.
But by the time I got to school and put down my bag, it was an indigo Monday. I really didn't feel like coming to school today.
Elena looked up from where she was sitting in the otherwise empty classroom, I sighed at the typical school day and sat down.
"I heard your grandfather died." Elena said suddenly.
"Yeah." I answered, a little surprised she decided to speak to me today.
"All my grandparents are dead." Elena informed me.
"Sorry to hear that." I said. Why was I the one expressing my condolences?
Elena shrugged, "At least you knew your grandfather. I've never met any of my grandparents. They were all dead before I was born."
I suppose Elena did have a point, even though I also felt sure she could've worded that better.
"Yeah, thanks." I said.
Elena looked surprised at my thanks, I'm not sure what she was expecting, and then she nodded and turned away, a signal that she was done talking to me and was back to despising me again.
But Elena was right, at least I had Grandpa Alpha while I did.
Left on my own, I took out Savy's recommended manga to read. I had meant to just quickly speed read through it, but it seemed that despite the many pictures, mangas were not a thing to be rushed through.
The manga was pink. A bright pink spot in my otherwise blue Monday.
The story within the pink covers was about a tall and sporty girl who was rather tomboyish and freakishly strong. In middle school she out ran and out arm-wrestled all the guys in her class. At this point, I began to see why Savy said the female lead in the manga reminded her of me, but all the similarities ended there.
For one thing, the girl was human or at least she thought she was human. I personally suspected that she must have been adopted and was really a werewolf because I've never seen a human girl beat all the guys in middle school in running or arm wrestling. Either that, or the guys in her middle school were wimps. But that wasn't the biggest story flaw. The weirdest, inexplicable part of the story was that she wasn't happy to be known as the fastest and strongest kid in the school. She made sure to get into a high school further away so she could try to be a "normal" cute high school girl. Why would anyone want to do that?
So anyway, she had grown out her hair during the holidays, taken great pains (2 full pages) to dress up like a cute high school girl, and even put on lip gloss. Today was the first day of high school! She had to take a train to school too, but she went on her own, without her dad accompanying her.
And then she got lost. (So I was glad I had my dad with me on the first day of school after all).
But, like me, she must have had some lucky sense of direction because she met some guys who turned out to be her new high school seniors. They walked her to school.
But, unlike me, her initial good luck turned out to be bad luck because these guys were the hottest guys in the school so all the other girls became insanely jealous of her. Like their faces were shaded in when they saw her and they were drawn with angry eyes as they watched this "plain" girl being walked into the school by the four hottest guys.
Seriously? That was pretty unrealistic. I'm sure in real life, students had better things to do than to care about who else was coming to school.
"Hey, Zammi." Krystal and her usual posse sat down around my desk. 
I took out my homework for them without looking up from my manga. 
"Oh!" Zara pointed at my manga, "I really like this series too!"
"Which one is it?" Krystal asked.
"You like manga too, Zammi?" Zara asked hopefully.
"I'm just trying it out." I answered.
"This one is good." Zara told me, "It's really romantic and funny."
"It's dumb." Krystal said, "I hate that kind of stories."
"You read manga too?" I asked.
"I used to when I was in middle school." Krystal said.
"Yeah, I read that in middle school too." Zara said.
Oh, so now I'm the childish one?
"I still like it." Zara quickly added.
And then Zara said with a small dreamy sigh, "Wouldn't it be nice if high school was like in the manga stories?"
"Please!" Krystal said, "If high school was like the manga stories, do you think you'd be the female lead? Let me tell you, it won't be any of us."
"Eh?" Zara blinked, "Then who would we be in the manga?"
"We'd be the spiteful popular girls." Krystal said in a matter of fact tone.
Oh, the girls with angry eyes. Wait, why were we the angry eyes?
"Even Zammi?" Zara asked, "Isn't Zammi with Prince Charming?"
Krystal rolled her eyes, "Zammi is the worst of us. She is the one already dating the male lead, and the one who would become the most jealous when the female lead shows up and the male lead fall in love with her."
OMO that's terrible. Then I remembered that Prince Charming was Harvey, not Mate. Whew. That's okay then.
"In that case, the female lead is the marriage breaker!" Zara decided, "Don't worry Zammi. When she shows up, I'll trip her and make her fall."
Wow, Zara was really getting into character.
"Who's the female lead then?" I asked.
"She's usually the transfer student, who has a difficult back story." Zara informed me.
