They're glad to see her safe, however, not the same as they remember her as.

Technology has entered a new age. Paper is now considered to be obsolete and it can only be found in museums. However, there lies an unknown secrets within the pages of books. Arte stumbling into this new world
must resolve himself and try to find out the secrets of the so called lost pages.

In order to save her village from a war between two kingdoms, she must marry the king of a race that has long been lost to five thousand years of history.

"I am sure your history books tuck in a few pages about us, and I know that on those pages, nothing good was written there. It is all true, but listen. That is one of the reasons we disappeared for so long. .. "

Evelynn was silent for a moment, then she smiled faintly.

"I will listen to you, so just tell me the whole story..."

Alright, foreword.

This story is Dresden Files crack-fic, and is written in snippets as that is how my ADHD riddled brain works. I generally try to get about three pages written before I post it as a new chapter(new habit, first couple chapters are tiny).

I am completely flying by the seat of my pants here. There is no over-arching plot here.

I'm sure that at some point everything will be on fire.

Being near water with Judi and Jain (like bathroom) is a pretty hard since they are extremely fond of water and loves to trash up the whole place with it, unless they are with mom she know how to keep her hyper active kids on line, she has also wrote a book which she keeps as a treasure the book was about how ti keep her children behaved, she keept the book in her cupboardbecaus, one day me and Lena snuck into her room and red the book ( which we were not allowed to read by the way...she didn't want us to know her tricks and secret)  she noted every single detail about her kids  and different ways to make them shut their mouths and behave properly, there was pages written about each child and obviously Judi and Jain broke all three oh our record and had the highest number of pages written about then in the book. These kids are so naughty that mum was running out of pages and was still on writing. On the first page of the book was her name and as we turned I saw that my name was the first to appear, my name was written in big words at the top and at the bottom it said weakness and it read that my childhood weakness was my dear drawings she knew I would do anything to protect them and what do you mean instruction manual to keep your child in control! nobody  dose that! there were ten pages written about me things that make me anger(like badly flipped omlet), sad (like badly flipped omlet....)exetra. The second heading was Lena, she was pretty confident that she would have less pages than me but she was wrong she had twenty pages I directly went to the things that made her angry and me going directly to that page made her angry.....then we moved on to George and he had twenty-five pages (that was kinda obvious) the things that made him sad and angry were mum not letting him play and mum telling him to study but Judi and Jain's weakness were no where to be found, "I think mum is still researching about it" Lena said and I agreed, but the interesting part is that me, George, Lena whole combined could only cover a quarter of the book and on the other hand Judi and Jain had finished the book and had forced mum to start a new one, poor mum she is going to have a hard time with them....

Edward sat down on his bed, pulling his mother's diary from under his pillow, flipping through the pages, getting back to where he had left off. Looking at it he noticed, there wasn't only one page missing.
"I guess that's what you were hiding…"He muttered to himself quietly as he stared at the next page. 
It appeared that there was no more of her life written on there, other than that she had written a very peculiar number of someone named Nathan Michaels. He stared intently at it, realizing that this man had the same last name as his father. He went a couple of pages back, reading the exact description of the man, who appeared to be his father's older brother. His breath hitched for a moment as he studied the number closely. The story follows a forty year old woman by the name of Maria Croft who after a tragic turn of events shuts herself out from her previous life in order to raise her now twenty year old son, Edward Croft whose father was tragically taken from them before he was born. Through the help of her son and the people of her past she not only learns to let go but to rise from the ashes as a new woman. Uncovering to her son the mystery behind his father’s death and the life she lived before settling will prove to be a challenge for this modern woman.

A crisp sound coming from the pages as I flipped back and forth the pages of the book, I loaned weeks ago. It was the end of the semester and all the books must be returned. Looking around after getting my card, silence is deafening to the core and only sound from the aircon can be heard. No audible whispers heard that was once the liven the library. Even the librarian and staff were too silent as they organized the catalogue and doing inventory.
I motion towards the shelves of different section. Thinking of those books piled neatly, I scanned them idly and a group of discarded books caught my attention. I drew closer and I signaled the staff if I could read them; they allowed it and I proceed to my agenda. I dust off those torn and worn-out covers of some books which are exceeded its shelf life. The pages were too delicate to flip until the last book pique my interest. It was the most tattered among the pile but captivated me with its nylon stiches that trying to keep them into place. It was a thick leather-bound entitled The History of Mathematics. As I skimmed the succeeding pages, there are some writings on the first page that surprised me. It was written in lead pencil and it was minuscule which began to fade.
"Dearest student librarian, flip to page 12" It was written below the page number. Without closer look, you can think it was just part of the sentences.
Intrigued, I browsed page 12 and looked for the next written conversations This time it is inside the box of illustrations.
"You were this petite yet radiant girl who issued my library card. It was your expressive and sparkling eyes pique my interest today. Looking at you refreshes my day, and I would like to know you more. - 1.3 Number of Recording of the Babylonians under Babylonian Cuneiform Script.
I, an outsider prying like a gossiper and want to know more. I scanned the succeeding pages hoping for other notes yet there were no notes written. It somewhat mentioned Babylon things. It was cliffhanger and challenge me to scan the whole book. I was lost in the labyrinth of confusion, yet I am determined.  I scrutinized the topic all about Babylon while being gentle with the torn pages. Could it be that the pages devoured by the bookworms? I was so anxious that I even read about Babylon and their cuneiform script. I relieved to discover the next notes. 
"I am eager to simply looked at you every day. I filled myself with excuses and even borrow books that are not references. My heart throbs so fast when you delicately write my name in the logbook. Your colleagues called you Shirley. My name is Robert. How about I will introduce myself next time?" My tongue tied and inaudible sounds were heard from me if I attempt to strike a conversation. It was a cowardly thank you note I give to you today. I wonder if you read my note."-Herman Hankel. pp. 33
Can't he just simply say thank you? I wondered; well old-fashioned people were too timid to confess. Can't he man up for real? I inwardly cried after discovering that didn't have proper conversation with the one, he fancied. "It was too timid of you Robert!" I blurt out openly and it was too late for me to cover my mouth. I looked at the library staff and they too put to halt with my amplified thoughts. 
"Sorry." I whispered at them and they continue their tasks as if nothing happened. I just buried my head in embarrassment and continue to unlock this drama. I quickly found the next notes as I browsed the following pages. 
"It seems you were a good student as I heard circulating in the campus. You are intelligent and dedicate your time in your studies. I heard you wanted to become a librarian. That suit you well.  As I write these, I saw you open the window and the ray of sunlight from the sunset passed through. I saw you trying to catch them, and you smiled. I smiled too.  I looked like a fool when our eyes met. You quickly lower your gaze and you returned to your table. I looked away quickly and afraid that you would be uncomfortable. It was preposterous that I needed to feign to be entertained with what I read in times that you caught me staring. Cowardice may engulf me when I had my encounters with you, but I truly liked you. Only this book knows what you are to me." -The Geometrical Discoveries of Thales pp. 83.
Is there a hindrance? Is he too entangled with another person? Is love so strict and uptight? These series of thoughts flood in my mind after reading the 4th note. I felt bad upon reading how suffocating would it be to confess someone. Now a days these feelings often conveyed insincerely just like how my classmates often aired about their lovers and fling.
I read the fifth note. It was written under the quote of Plato. I silently prayed for development. Come on Robert! Be of courage. Strange that an Acacia leaf was bookmarked on that page too written with that student librarian named 'Shirley'.
"I braced myself and gather courage to tell you how I feel. Rejected or not, I am determined to tell you so. It took me months just to write this confession. I grabbed my sister's stationary and wrote all the things I like about you. I plot to accidentally bumped into you under the Acacia trees adjacent to the library you always passed by. I am prepared today.  I counted my steps as you stood there as you used to, I estimated it will be 200 long strides to bumped into you. I paced 100 steps and paused. 20 more steps and pause. I froze there and looked up as the winds brush off the Acacia leaves and fall them like gentle rain on the ground. It was the perfect view with you, and you brush off some leaves in your hair. I paced other steps unknowingly and it was 20 more steps to stood in front of you yet." The Alexandrian School: Euclid pp. 141

A loud crisp from the pages where flipped and echoed in the room. Some were slow as bore fingers forced to change chapters and some were hurry as if getting the concepts in race.  It was a well lit room filled with books and the scent of old and new meet an agreement. Only bookworms knew. There is only one person knew that deep in the lined shelves and circulation there is a confession that needs to be expressed. The only person knew is me.

Kies sat down at one of the couches next to one of the bookshelves and randomly picked a book of it. He felt a sense of nostalgia looking at the book but couldn't figure out why. The book looked like it was several years old. The cover was falling apart and the title was scratched off. There were a few loose pages and some of the writing had also faded away.
Kies ran his hand along some of the pages. They felt rough and wrinkled. Kies felt that if he even lightly shook the book or drop it, the entire thing would come falling apart. It probably wasn't a good idea to try to read this book and so Kies put it back where he found it. He picked one of the newer looking books off the shelf took a look at it. There wasn't a title for the book. He flipped through a few of the pages and saw that it was in a language that he didn't know.
"Hoot, a book written in Elvish." Kies almost dropped the book in surprise. When did Haro get on his shoulder? The owl laughed and told Kies, "You know, unlike other birds, we owls are able to fly without making a sound."
"I see..." Kies continued skimming through the book and found not a single word that he recognized or knew.
"If you wish, I can read it out loud for you."
"Please do." Kies put the book down on his lap and flipped back to the first page.
Haro tilted his head sideways a little and hooted. After a brief moment, he told Kies, "This book talks about water magic and its fundamentals. That's quite interesting considering that Elves mainly use nature and spirit magic. But I guess water is also a part of nature."
Kies shook his head and said, "I don't this book will be of any use for me then." He put the book back onto the shelf and picked a new book. Unlike the last two he randomly chose, this one had a title. It was once again in a language that he could not read.
"A book on blacksmithing. It looks like it was written by a dwarf," Haro examined. Since it wasn't for him, Kies put back the book and picked out several books this time for Haro to identify. "Hoot, I don't know what it is that you're searching for, but if it is a book on wind magic, none of these are what you want," Haro told Kies as he looked at all the titles. "You know child, you can always seek advice from me."
"Hm, I guess I could, but I want to see if there are any books written by an Aeos here." Kies wanted to see if there was a book about the Stormcaller here since the archive didn't seem to have many records of it.
"I see. Let me check if there are any." Haro flew over to one of the bookshelves called upon the winds to pull the books one by one out of the bookshelf. He quickly read each and every title and then gently put the books back. Within a few moments, he finished going through every book on the bookshelf and then continued with the bookshelf underneath it. This happened another two times and Haro managed to go through all the books in under a minute. From all of the books, Haro pulled out two that caught his attention.
Haro landed on the couch in front of Kies and told him, "I did't see a single book that was written by an Aeos or about the Aeos. However, I did find these two books that might interest you."
Kies picked up one of the books and saw that it had no title. The cover was made out of leather and the pages looked fairly old. The book had an old musky smell to it. He flipped through the pages and not surprisingly, found out that it was once again in a language that he couldn't read. "The one you're holding is a travel journal. It was written by a very famous beastman who explored this vast world and saw all that it had to offer. This book was written before the Bloodtide War so there's a chance that she may have visited the Aeos territory and written about it in here."
Haro picked up the second book carefully with his talons, making sure not to scratch or damage it, and said, "Now this one here is written in old demonic language. It contains records of various battles during the Bloodtide War. I don't know how it managed to find its way here, but it may contain data on the battles fought by the Aeos."
"Wait, did you just say that one of our battle records is here?" Ammine overheard Kies and Haro talking and stopped training and walked over to the two. She took the book from Haro's talon and skimmed through it. "Huh, this is the real thing. How did this get here..."

The world was once ruled by demons that terrorized all the other races. The races banded together and formed an alliance, wiping out most of the demon race and forcing the survivors to go into hiding. With the fall of the demons, the races were finally free.

However, the peace did not last for long. Twelve years after the war, the human race broke the truce and attacked the other races, killing and enslaving all of them. Finally, with all the other races out of the way, the human race declared war on one another. After many years of bloody conflict and betrayal, only two human kingdoms remain out of the original seven.

Kies is an orphan that was adopted into a noble family that is known for producing powerful magic-users. He finds that he can use magic, but since his magic lacks offensive capabilities, it is deemed useless. The war rages on between the two kingdoms and Kies knows that he will eventually be caught up in it, so he needs to find some way to become stronger. But as he does so, he discovers that not all things are as they seem...

~ Third Person's Point of View ~ 

Emilia was looking for a particular book on the shelf while Jack was sitting on a dusty, old chair. 

He was flipping the grimy pages of a book, thinking that it was the one that he was searching for almost an hour. 

Jack said, "Did you found something?" 

"Found nothing, except this ancient, torn pages from a diary!" 

Emilia walked closer to him and handed it that he deferred quickly. "I thought it would scatter throughout the floor! Good thing that it was kept in a sealed envelope." 

Jack said. 

He took a deep breath while getting everything inside. Emilia gave him an abrupt smirk as she continues to search for an interesting book. 

Inside of it, there were five torn pages. Emilia was right, that the pages came from a diary. He narrowed his eyes when he realized that it was the art of his grandmother's diary. 

Out of panic, he said. "It's Grandma's diary! How come that she kept only five pages of it?!" Jack stooped closer to the woman who wasn't even looking at him. 

He said, "Emilia?" 

"Hmmm?" 

"Emilia!" 

"Hmmm?" 

Jack furiously grabbed her arms while holding the envelope. "Damn! You are not even listening to me, but you have the guts to come with me!" 

"Shut up, Jack! I'm looking for a romantic story of a vampire and a mortal!" 

"For heaven's sake, can you put it aside and just help me out with these!" He hastily raised the torn pages which made Emilia to picked randomly from the shelf. 

She didn't have the chance to read the title of the book as she has a mission to be accomplished. 

She said, "Put everything here," Jack obeyed and lay the pages on the table. Some of the words had faded as the times passed by. "Look! There are numbers written on the back of the pages!" 

Jack was surprised at what she had seen. "You are right! Grandmother has put the numbers for us to know what happened first!" 

Without further explanation, they have organized the pages according to its number. 

The numbers are written are 8, 18, 28, 38 and 88. 

Jack gulped as he moved his head closer to the first page. 

"Day 8– The moon was bright as much as the sun. The world of vampires was rejoicing while the world of mortals was in vain. Mortals are dying. I felt it. I have foreseen it! Mortal's land was sinking as I've heard voices out of nowhere. They were asking for help, for salvation but, I am powerless to help all of them. 

Until there was the voice of a woman caught my interest. She wasn't crying nor asking for help. She was praying for her land's redemption without a doubt. 

I do not understand why does I've heard the mortal's voices and prayers. 

That's why I've written this on Day 8 as it was engraved in the sky that night." 

"A woman's prayer?" 

Emilia asked him upon reading the first page according to the numbers. 

Jack pointed out the next number. He replied, "Read it." Emilia looked upon at him without saying a word. 

She gasped and read what had happened next. 

"Day 18– I was in my cabin, leaning towards the rocking chair where I used to stay. I was staring at the mini table on my right side until I saw my diary. 

It was wide opened as the fact that I did not write anything on it since hearing a mortal's whine. 

I didn't mind closing it until I've fallen into a deep sleep. I know, I felt it, I saw it with my naked eyes. 

As I remembered the disturbing roads and people who are walking down the street. I knew that I was not in my world. 

I knew that it was the world of mortals with various ways of living than us. 

There was a little girl who was wearing a red dress, below her knees. She was beautiful and adorable girl especially when she glanced at me with a genuine and sweet smile on her face. 

However, the truth which made me laugh was the young girl lost her two front teeth. 

She was walking with her mother who seemed depleted and rescinded. I said, " Young woman, what happened to your teeth?" 

She voraciously laughed at me and replied like we are at the same age. "Granny, you must ask the fairy tooth mother who took away my teeth!" 

The girl abruptly gave me a small thing rolled in a wrapper.  

I wanted to know more about her. Until I wake up in my cabin, sweating and holding the same thing that she gave me." 

Jack reached for the envelope as he hoped to find the small thing that his grandmother was referring to. 

Unfortunately, there's nothing inside except for the dust and dirt. "Do you think it has a connection of what had happened to me, two years ago?" 

Jack asked her rapidly. 

He couldn't find the exact reason why he wanted to be summoned again by the woman in a red gown. 

Since then he met her, his life became quite different and turned upside down. 

"We have still three pages left. What if there's nothing here that can help us?!" 

"There is, Emilia. There must be evidence written in her diary!" 

She has no doubt. 

She knew that Jack changed and became cold when he met a mortal during his birthday. 

He sneaks out from the Vampire's palace and went to the forest where love to lurk at. 

Emilia smiled shortly and asked him, "Why Jack? Why do you want to visit the other dimension?" 

She knew the answer to her question, but she wanted it to hear from him. 

"It's not the mortal whom I wanted to look for, Emilia. You know that I've been yearning for a mother's love! For a mother's embrace! And the only place where I can see her was on Earth!" 

"But, your father will never let you go!" 

"We have rules to be followed! You have responsibilities to fulfil! You have people to lead! You are a Vampire King, Jack! You must stay in our world than searching for mortals you haven't seen and met before!" 

She punched the table effortlessly. She was angrily glaring at him as her fangs were shown. Her hazel eyes turned red. 

"I am warning you, Jack. Stop with your fatuousness if you don't want to lose everything you have!" 

Emilia said. "Disobey your heart, Jack." 

She stood up and walked away from him, carrying the book she picked from the shelf.

The author will be leaving next year...
