Star Wars the Old Republic is one of my favorite MMORPGS of all time. I had sadly missed the launch, as I was during the time in my World of Warcraft days and spent all my time on that and work, but around the time Warlords of Draenor (one of the expansions to WoW) I felt tuckered out of the game. I had loved the story of World of Warcraft and during Warlords of Draenor, I realized I no longer liked the story that much. After the Lich King I felt that spark when questing start to falter, and my love for the story start to dwindle.
Around that time I picked up Star Wars the Old Republic and fell in love immediately. I quickly played through the game, and created a guild filled with friends. The times there were amazing, but sadly it didn't last too long. Very quickly the guild branched off to do other things, or just left the guild. Very quickly the guild turned into a group of seven friends. And at Alex and other people's want, we started playing other games like Call of Duty, League of Legends and more. Slowly the group left SWTOR, not picking it up again. Only two others of our group and I still played on and off again, that is, until Onslaught came out. I showed it to the group and wished for us all to play again like the good old days, this got most of them excited. I just felt glad I got some of the guild back together to play the game again.

"Alright bois, are we creating new characters or are we still gonna play with our old ones?" I said, taking command of the group like I usually did. 
A incoherent torrent of voices as everyone talked over each other responded frustrating me greatly. I mean come on, I almost always gotta tell everyone to not talk over people but no one seems to listen.
"Ok ok, one at a time... Mono, do you still have your character?" I frustratingly cried out in an attempt to organize the messy Discord call. It didn't help much, as I don't think anyone heard me, and the call took an uncomfortable amount of time quieting down. 
Exasperated, I asked once more just to test the waters of the call, my fingers crossed in hopes of things staying orderly, "Ok again, Mono do you still have your character?" 
"Yes, but I kinda want to make a new one. Relive the good ol' days y'know." Mono replied. 
 "Ooh!" Piped up Justin, the competitive one of our bunch, "Lets make a challenge or whatever of it! Half of us go Imperial and half go Republic, and compete to see who reaches the new Onslaught DLC first!" 
"Yeah!" Chimed in Sasha, "That would be a great idea! Dibs on Republic." 

After much discussion the teams were decided: Imperials were Alex, Mono, Brian, and myself, Jamie. Republic was Justin, Sasha, other Justin (nicknamed Biggie), and David. I then suggested to go to different calls so as to not interrupt other people's planning on how to go through the game, and everyone agreed so we all left.

Then came deciding everyone's class. I was fine with anything, but Alex really wanted to go the Inquisitor and Mono really wanted to go DPS. After some careful decision-making Mono chose the Imperial class, Brian wanted to try the Bounty Hunter class as he had not tried it before. That left me with the Sith Warrior. Not really a bad class, but best at tank. With roles set, we all went together to build our characters, which took a lot of time...

I ended up as a Pureblood Sith Male with the sides completely shaven off leaving only a large streak of black hair on the middle of his head, orange-red eyes, a harsh and sharp face to match the Sith bad boy aesthetic, a tall and bulky figure with deep red skin. The name I decided on was Kadon. 

Alex decided on creating a female character, which we gave him some flak for doing. His excuse was that "if I'm gonna look at an ass all game it better be a good one." His character ended up looking as a human female with straight black hair barely reaching her shoulders, clear gray eyes, pale white skin, soft and smooth facial features, and the average body figure option in the game. He named her Ashlynn, which gave me the feeling that he was creating a genderbent version of himself.. but that's his own business...

Mono chose a Male Cyborg with light-brown messy hair, light blue eyes, a youth-full teen face scarred on the right side of his face with two mechanical supports going through the bottom area of his cheek for the bottom of his jaw, a scrawny small figure with moderately tanned skin. He randomized until he found something suitable and this was the first preset that caught his eye. He chose to name his character Monochrome Robot, as a slight play on his name. I thought it was kinda funny, but no one really laughed except me when he announced the name...

Brian ended up with a Bald Male Rattataki with light blue (almost white) eyes, three small triangular pieces of jewelry embedded into his skin on each side starting from the middle of his cheek up to the bottom of his ear, a scar starting from just above where his eyebrow would be going down through his nose into the left side of his cheek, four long striped tattoos on the upper side of his head and two short stripes going down from the middle of his eyes. The name he chose was simply Guts. Only that name was already taken so I recommended he put some more z's to it and so he put Gutzz. That name was taken too. He kept on adding z's until it worked. It ended up being Gutzzzzzzzz. He wanted to look like a "badass" "seen some shit" stereotypical mercenary but wanted to try to be a bit different and original so added the stripes and jewelry.

With all our characters ready, we simultaneously clicked Play at my behest. Only, the game didn't start. Instead, the whole world faded into black...

A small group of friends decide to come back to Star Wars: The Old Republic and all make new characters... Only as they finish their character creation they are transported into the world of Star Wars! May the Force be with them.. This will follow the Warrior's story and be from his point of view. The Story will follow the class missions pretty linearly for a good while until I get more comfortable writing... I obviously don't own Star Wars: The Old Republic so all rights for Star Wars: The Old Republic goes to Bioware and their Overlord, Electronic Arts Inc. alongside Disney and Lucasfilm. Releases will be Monday with two chapters and Friday with three chapters around 2:00 Pacific Standard Time

Under the night sky of Azeroth, far away from Earth, you would be able to hear the wind under your wings. Lu Li watched the land from high above and was once again amazed by the design of the game.
After he flew across Duskwood and Deadwind Pass, the scene became a dark-green swampland.
In all honesty, Lu Li wasn't a fan of this place. The air was always foul, mixed with the stench of rotten grass roots and swamp creatures, which made it almost impossible to breath. He had to lower his senses by a few levels, which wasn't a good thing in the Wild, considering that senses helped him detect the potential dangers around him.
He flew for nearly an entire hour until he saw the Blasted Lands. If he had the Wind Wielder with him, this would have only taken him about ten minutes. After all, the Wind Wielder could fly anywhere in the sky because it was strong, but Lu Li had to go around some danger zones.
The Dark Portal was located in the Blasted Lands.
The magic that leaked out from the Dark Portal twisted the Blasted Lands and left it with a desert-like appearance. There were no signs of life in this zone.
Nethergarde was located at the north point of the Blasted Lands; it guarded the only entrance into this zone.
It was built by Khadgar, who led the crusade into Draenor and disappeared within. All the Mages who lived in the zone now basked in the glory of this memory.
The Mages and the Warriors gave up their own enjoyment and fought against the Demons and the Ogres. Some thought that they were already a lost cause, but they still fought to protect this portal and Azeroth so that the other areas of Azeroth wouldn't be in danger.
Because of the existence of the Dark Portal, this area had no other portals. Even supplies had to be delivered through dangerous methods.
Players could also obtain quests for delivering supplies. For some adventurers who weren't doing so well, this was another way for them to survive. In Lu Li's previous life, he had participated in such quests, but he was no longer interested in them anymore.
He had come to look for a soul.
If he was looking for a Tauren, this zone wouldn't be a problem for Lu Li. He could see everything from up above.
Unfortunately, he was looking for a soul, so he had to land on the ground and search carefully. If he wasn't careful about it, he wouldn't be able to spot it. It took him about half an hour to find this almost invisible person at one of the spots suggested in the guides from his previous life.
"Hello, I'm an Elf from Mount Hyjal. How do I get to Nethergarde?" Lu Li asked.
The Spirit of the Horde Heroes quest wasn't hard to activate, but this was for the Horde players. If Alliance players wanted to do the same quest, it would depend on their luck. Lu Li wasn't much of a lucky person, but fortunately, he had a guide with him and knew exactly what to say to get the results that he wanted.
"Mount Hyjal? Is everything still well there?" the soul asked.
"The line of defense is strong as usual, but we've heard that the Blasted Lands seem to be in a bit of trouble lately. The Dreadmaul Ogres have attacked Northgarde many times this month. I've been commanded to come as a reinforcement," Lu Li said half-truthfully. He had the quest on him, but it was the type of quest that required him to hit a certain level first.
"I see. Then you have no need to rush. The last battle happened yesterday; I saw the Dreadmaul Ogres leave, defeated." 
 The soul was smart; it wasn't just a simple form of grudge. 
 "That's good, I can rest a few days before I join the battle. I've encountered a lot of danger along the way and it has surely worn me out. May I ask for your name and why you're here?" Lu Li sighed and sat down.
"My name? There's no need for it," the soul said as it joined Lu Li.
Lu Li passed a bottle of wine over. This wine was made by the Tauren with methods passed down from Draenor. It was rare to see a soul still capable of drinking wine.
Without Lu Li's asking, the soul began to share his story after a few sips.
 "I was a member of an elite troop, one that was most trusted by Thrall himself. There were twenty of us. I once suggested for us to put down a sentry in the Blasted Lands, but my suggestion was never responded to, so I began to grow impatient. I had no clue what fearful monster awaited ahead of us… yes…I made a fearful decision. All was my fault..."
"Is there anything that I can be of help to?" Lu Li asked, softening his voice. He could tell that this sad soul was lost in some sort of regret.
"Regret, I'm filled with regrets. I've never considered what this wrong choice would have led to. I should have waited there and waited for the command. Perhaps it would have told us what it was, what fearful event awaited us in that damned place., or maybe it was going to tell us to head elsewhere. After all, it was my fault, all my fault..." the poor soul answered, then continued mumbling the same few sentences.
"What happened after?" Lu Li asked.
If this was someone who knew nothing of the event, they would have probably been annoyed by the storytelling ability of this NPC.
However, Lu Li knew the entire picture. There was no way he would let this Horde hero sing acapella by himself.
"I've been standing here, waiting for the command. I need to understand the situation; I need to find those commands. I never received anything, so something must've happened along the way," he said, then finally looked up at Lu Li and asked, "Dispatch Commander Raug is located at Stonard. Find him and find out what happened to that command; this is what I want to know the most. Can you help me?"
"Gladly," Lu Li said without the slightest hesitation.
He had just flown from Stonard, and now he had to head back. This seemed ridiculous, but Lu Li had to do so. It wasn't a lot to ask to travel for quests. The worst situation was when you travelled to all these places but had no clue about how to continue the quest.
Just as Lu Li transformed into a crow and was about to fly away, he suddenly remembered the situation at Stonard.
 "And one more thing – because I'm an Elf, the friends over there aren't too friendly with me. Is there anything you could possibly do about it?"
"Those short-sighted idiots," the soul scowled as a Badge formed in his hands.
Lu Li curiously took over the Badge, but he wasn't so calm anymore once he checked its Attributes.


He had never invested in shares or bought a lottery ticket, and neither did he have any experience in the general business industry. Lu Li found that the only thing he could do was play games. 

Luckily he had experienced rebirth, and was one step ahead of everyone else. Luckily, games had been developing extremely quickly, and there were many people who had become rich through playing games. 

In his ‘past life’, he had spent countless nights awake, in grief and anguish. However, although all of this had been washed away, so what…? This life, he was determined make a fierce counterattack against fate and stand at the very top!

Party kai berjalan menyusuri hutan mencari mangsa, kai memimpun jalan dengan carnage di tengah dan sword master di belakang. karena ini kedua kalinya kai memasuki hutan dia sudah beradaptasi dan tak terlalu khawatir seperti terakhir.


Menyusuri hutan mereka tidak berbicara sama sekali mereka hanya berjalan dengan mata yang memandang sekeliling hutan mencoba menemukan monster.


" Andai saja kita punya job archer ini pasti akan mudah" ujar carnage.
" Iya kau benar, archer memang job yang tepat untuk saat ini dan aku yakin job mereka pasti lagi populer" balas kai.
" Tapi kita tak punya kenalan job archer di kota, dan kalau kita mengambil archer noob matilah kita" ujar carnage kembali.
" friendly-fire memang sering kali terjadi bagi archer dengan sasaran buruk" ujar kai mengangguk.
" Aku akan berpencar dengan kalian dan mencari musuh sendiri nanti aku hubungi jika bertemu monster" ujar carnage sambil pergi ke arah yang berbeda dengan kai.
" Oke"


Sword master hanya diam selama perbincangan karena dia masih pemula dengan aturan game dia tidak ingin membuat masalah jadi dia hanya mengikuti rencana carnage tanpa protes.

Kai menglihat sword master diam saja tidak seperti di saat mereka pertama bertemu, kai pun bertanya.
" Kau kenapa ? apa kau gelisah ?"
" Hmm.. ? tidak, aku baik-baik saja" ujar sword master santai tidak sedikitpun gelisah.
" Oke" kai pun berjalan kembali.

Hutan yang kai masuki adalah hutan yang sangat luas, hutan ini mengelilingi kota harpen dan terputus hanya pada tengah-tengah jalan yang menuju setiap gerbang kota harpen.


Menyusuri hutan selama 20 menit carnage kembali ke party, menatap kai kemudian berkata.
" Di utara ada satu kelompok serigala mereka memiliki jumlah 5, aku pikir kita bisa membunuhnya dengan kita berdua masing-masing mengambil 2 dan sword master 1, bagaimana menurutmu ?"
" Ayo berangkat" tanpa menjawab pertanyaan carnage kai lansung berangkat.


Dengan kemampuan kai dan carnage melawan 3 serigala saat ini adalah maksimalnya, jadi 2 serigala bukanlah masalah bagi mereka. kai dan sword master yang mulai bosan berjalan dari tadi mempercepat langkah mereka mengkuti carnage yang memimpin jalan.

Di WoW setiap pemain punya map tapi map itu hanya akan berfungsi di kota setelah pemain keluar kota map mereka akan berubah hitam dan pemain perlu menelusuri sendiri jalannya agar map bisa terang seperti di game world of warcraft. pemain juga bisa membeli peta dan menggunakannya ke peta mereka agar peta mereka tidak blank. karena itu carnage kembali ke party dan tidak memanggil lewat panggilan party dan menuntun jalannya sendiri.


Carnage memimpin jalan menyusuri hutan bergerak dengan cepat takut mangsanya lari atau di buru tim lain. sampai ditujuan tim kai mulai bergerak diam-diam, mereka bergerak sepelan mungkin mendekati target kemudian mereka menglihat 5 ekor serigala berbaring tidur di lantai.

Melihat serigala kai pun bertanya kepada carnage.
" Apa kau sudah melihat di sekeliling ?"
" Belum, setelah melihat serigala aku lansung kembali" jawab carnage.
" Baiklah, carnage kau disini menjaga serigala aku dan sword master akan berputar untuk melihat sekeliling jika aman kita lansung berburu. sword master kau ke kiri, aku ke kanan dan berhati-hatillah untuk tidak membuat suara agar serigala tidak waspada" ujar kai memberi arahan sword master sambil bergerak ke arah kanan.
" Oke" jawab sword master mulai bergerak ke kiri.


Carnage melihat mereka pergi kemudian duduk beristirahat mengurangi rasa lelah untuk bersiap pada pertempuran di depan. setelah 10 menit kai pun kembali dan sword master kembali 1 menit setelahnya.

" Arah ku aman, bagaimana arah mu sword master ?" tanya kai.
" Aman" jawab sword master singkat saja.
" Oke mari bersiap dan membuat rencana kita harus menghabisi monster itu secepat mungkin kemudian mengambil loot dan meninggalkan lokasi secepat mungkin" ujar kai.
" Apakah sama seperti dunia nyata ?" tanya carnage yang sedikit mengerti dengan penjelasan kai.
" Ya, bau darah akan memancing serigala lain atau mungkin monster lain, sebelumnya aku mati karena kesalahan itu" jawab kai.
" Kau mati ? dengan serigala ? hahaha" carnage tertawa mendengar ucapan kai.
" Ah tidak-tidak, aku mati dengan beruang setelah kabur dari 20 serigala" kai menjelaskan.

" Oh.. aku pikir kau mati dengan serigala itu akan benar-benar menjadi sangat lucu" ujar carnage tersenyum.
" Apanya yang lucu mati dengan serigala ?" tanya sword master bingung. 'itu hanya seekor serigala dan kau mati melawannya apanya yang lucu ?' sword master benar-benar bingung dengan carnage.

Carnage menatap sword master kemudian berkata.
" Setiap elit punya harga diri mereka sendiri apalagi bagi kami elit di dunia fantasy dulu, jika kami para elit di dunia vr mati dengan monster di zona pemula tidakkah itu akan menjadi lelucon ?"
" Hmm.. aku benar-benar tak mengerti, bukankah mati hal yang wajar di game ? kenapa kau harus malu dan menjadikannya itu sebagai lelucon ?" jawab sword master bingung.
" Jika di dunia nyata kau sebagai ahli pedang di kalahkan oleh junior, tidakkah itu memalukan bagimu ?" tanya carnage sekali lagi.
" Tidak, aku malah senang karena itu adalah bukti bahwa aku masih bisa menjadi lebih kuat lagi dari aku yang sekarang, bukankah itu hal yang baik ?" tanya sword master dengan wajah bingung.
" Kukuku... kau benar-benar orang yang menarik, aku mulai menyukaimu" carnage berkata sambil tertawa kecil. mendengar perkataan sword master carnage sadar bahwa dia masih bisa menjadi lebih kuat dan itu akan memberi dia kesempatan lebih tinggi untuk membalas dendam pada kai.
" Terima kasih tapi tolong sukai aku sebagai teman bukan kekasih" ujar sword master tersenyum.



carnage hanya tersenyum mendengar perkataan sword master kemudian menatap kai dan berkata.
" Jadi blood apa rencanamu ?"
Kai yang selama ini diam mendengar pembicaraan mereka tersenyum ketika melihat wajah carnage.
" Rencananya mudah kau sebagai assasin akan menyelinap dan memberi serangan kejutan kemudian aku dan sword master akan menyerang ketika serigala fokus padamu"


Mendengar perkataan kai, carnage mendesah kemudian berkata.
" Hah.. maaf kai tapi sebagai assasin kami tak memiliki skill stealth atau vanish disini jadi sangat sulit untuk menyelinap"
" Apa ? jadi bagaimana juga assasin melakukan pembunuhan jika tak punya skill semacam itu ?" tanya kai terkejut. di setiap game rpg inti dari assasin adalah menghilang dari pandangan musuh dan menyerang mereka dari belakang dengan serangan mematikan, jika assasin tak punya skill itu mereka bagaikan burung tanpa sayap, nasi tanpa lauk, dan mandi tanpa sabun itu akan membuatnya jadi tak berguna.

" Yah kau benar, untuk itu para assasin di beri keuntungan disini" jawab carnage kemudian melihat kearah monster dan melanjutkan kata-katanya.
" Assasin di WoW bukan untuk membunuh monster tapi untuk membunuh manusia karena itu manusia punya kelemahan leher dan jantung yang membuat kami mudah melakukan pembunuhan. dan untuk melakukan teknik assasin, job kami harus menggunakan peralatan agar sukses. seperti di dunia nyata di masa lalu ketika para assasin menggunakan berbagai teknik untuk melakukan pembunuhan begitulah job assasin di WoW" jelas carnage.

Kai menglihat carnage dengan wajah terkejut.
" Bukankah tingkatannya sangat sulit ?" tanya kai.

Carnage pun berjalan dengan wajah tersenyum sambil berkata.
" Jangan meremehkan ku blood, bahkan tanpa skill dari assasin aku bisa menjadi assasin yang sesungguhnya dan suatu saat nanti aku pasti akan membunuhmu untuk menghapus penghinaan itu"
" Aku menantikan hari itu" jawab kai tersenyum.

Carnage hanya tersenyum mendengar perkataan kai dan berjalan mendekati semak-semak kemudian mulai berbaur dengan gelapnya hutan. carnage memamfaatkan bayangan disekitar dan bergerak mendekati serigala dengan langkah kaki yang sangat pelan.

Nafas, detak jantung, bahkan suara kaki pun tak terdengar dari arah carnage berjalan dia seperti menjadi bayangan dari gelapnya hutan. seperti hantu yang berjalan dalam kegelapan malam tanpa ada yang bisa melihat tapi bisa merasakan samar-samar kehadirannya.

Heading towards the goblin group, Jacob skillfully traversed the forest terrain at quick speed while not attracting attention to himself in his experience in ambushing unsuspecting players while camouflaged behind greeneries. On his way, he saw what looks like a deer but it has three antlers growing on its head.

"I wonder kind of a deer is that. Let's use 'Appraisal' for now." As soon as he used the skill Jacob saw a basic information about the deer.

"I'll go hunt them after I finish my quest, looks tasty without the antlers. I said to my self in an announcer voice.

"There's 5 of them with 2 holding crude bows and arrows while the rest have clubs and rusty daggers, range is about 200 meters. I think I can get them from here and kill them all without exposing myself too much and just out of their bow range. First, I'll take out the ranged Goblins before picking the melee Goblins one by one." Finishing his strategy, Jacob went prone next to a shrub and raises his heavier than plastic gun, aims at one of the bow goblins' neck, breathes out, and pulled the trigger.

*BANG!* The head of the bow goblin exploded before the other one's chest exploded *BANG!*
Realising they were under attack the other three goblins quickly surveyed their surroundings but failed to notice anything. *BANG BANG!* Two more shots sounded effectively killing two more goblins. But at this moment the last goblin managed to spot a spark a couple hundred meters away and it managed to connect the loud bangs related to the sudden death of his companions. "GAAHZZRRRA!" Enraged, it tried to sprint as fast as it can to the source of the flash flailing his club,  eager for revenge from its fallen companions. It managed to cover 30 meters of distance before another two loud bangs sounded riddling its body with two new holes. All of that happened within only 10 seconds.

Contented, Jacob sighed in relief as he experienced his first actual combat against one of the monsters in this world.

"Haaa, I managed  to kill all of them without letting them go near me, that charging goblin actually scared me a little. But fuck, it's a good thing I aimed lower to make sure the recoil didn't let me miss. A real gun's recoil is a lot stonger than an airsoft's, I have to try practicing more to make myself accustomed to the change. I also need to do more physical training to improve my strength endurance- hmm?
