Gabriel Revaldi is a simple man that tries to have a simple life. Gabriel is currently walking toward his apartment, where he lives. His apartment is located not too far away from the market in his city. Gabriel lived in a city called Jakarta in a country named Indonesia. Gabriel looks at his phone and sees that the time is currently at 6 PM, so he should be able to arrive in his apartment around 6.10 PM.

Gabriel is an orphan as his parents died a few years ago because of a car accident. He is devastated because that accident was not only the accident that took his parents' life away but also his brother and sister. After that accident, Gabriel stayed with his grandparents, who owned a little food stall near the market.

Gabriel lost his parents when he was 15 years old, and currently, he is 22 years old. For those seven years, Gabriel spent his time helping his Grandparents opening the food stall and doing the dishes while his Grandparents did the cooking and serving. When Gabriel finished his study in college, he was forced to move out of his Grandparent house because of the new job he got after he finished his study.

Gabriel only went for five months, but he already missed his Grandparents, he missed his Grandpa cooking and his Grandma special hot chocolate. Thinking about it, Gabriel can't be helped but to drool a little. 

Without even knowing, Gabriel already arrived at his apartment. As he gets inside his room, he then takes off his uniform and changes to his casual clothes and then sits down on the chair near his computer.

As he turns on the computer and goes to his email, Gabriel sees that many spams and some unique emails inside his inbox. As he opens the email, he is surprised as inside the email is a WORM CYOA version 3 revised.

Gabriel knows what CYOA is, and of course, he also knows the Worm CYOA as he is a fan of CYOA fic. He read them on SB and SV, where many authors try their chance to write a Worm CYOA fic. I clicked the link, and it sent me toward something like a browser game. 

"Two beings spiral through the starry void… Yada Yada… The cycle is broken… It will destroy countless earth… Yada Yada… And that is the end… Let see"

Gabriel click the Difficulty button and see there are three options. The first one is God Mode, where he can get 10 points. The second option is Standard mode, where he gets 5 points. The last one is Skitter mode, where he doesn't get any points to spend and need to pick a disadvantage to gain a point.

In God mode, He could pick all the power, including World Breaker power, Greater Power, and Lesser Power. Standard only gives him Greater Power and Lesser Power, while Skitter mode only lets him use the Lesser Power, which sucks.

Without thinking twice, Gabriel picks God Mode and get 10 points for his own choices.

After clicking the next button, he arrives at the power panel, where there are three types of power it provides. He clicks the lesser power and sees the list of the power it gives. The apprentice is the power that Gabriel needs to work to get more powerful. The list of power apprentice has is; Arcane Magic (DnD), Aura (RWBY), Bending (Avatar), Biotic (Mass Effect), Dresden files magic, Divine Magic (DnD), Libriomancy (Libriomancer), Force (Star Wars), Gnosis (Mage: The awakening magic), Ninja Magic (Naruto), Psionics (DnD), Thaumaturgy (Nasu), Wand Magic (Harry Potter), Warlock Magic (DnD), Weaboo Fightan Magic (DnD, Book of Nine Swords).

The apprentice cost him 2 points, and he can spend one point to have the knowledge of the power that he chooses. Gabriel can also pick another power that is provided by spending another one point.

The next power is Twins. With twins, he can choose any parahuman in the worm universe and have the same power. Gabriel can also use one point to do a Jailbreak the power and modify the ability to be more powerful or versatile. Sadly after he Jailbreaks the power, it will not grow any stronger.

The next power is Wildcard, where he gets random power from the power Generator website. As for the potency of the power, he needs to roll a dice of 1d8 and add 2. The number of powers is classified from 1 to 15+. 

Number 1 only has a threat slightly above normal humans.

Number 2 has a threat of an athletic human or at least a well-equipped human. 

Number 3 needs several trained individuals who may be required to deal with the situation. 

Number 4 needs One full squad of trained operatives should be able to deal with this situation. 

Number 5 A typical parahuman or one parahuman assisting a squad of operatives should be able to deal with the power in question. 

Number 6 A typically trained parahuman or one parahuman assisting a squad of operatives should be able to deal with the power in question. 

Number 7, Parahumans should engage in pairs or trios at a minimum, two fully equipped squads should be deployed. 

Number 8, Evacuation of civilians should take priority for all squad members. Engaging should be avoided outside of specific missions and tasks. Parahumans should engage only when supported by their team to ensure a minimum of complications or danger. 

Number 9, Parahumans, and PRT should evacuate where possible, and should only engage when a specific mission and strategy has been outlined. Major countermeasures should take effect. 

Number 10+, In the event of a serious confrontation, additional teams or specific high-rated individuals should be called in to manage the crisis. 

Number 15+, Planet level-threat, and Functional loss of humanity in the host.

While Wildcard can get him some World Breaking power, it stops him from reaching its full potential. For example, if he gains control over Gap, and rolls eight then adds two, he only gets ten as it was the maximum number of the dice while the original power of Gap can be a threat of 15+, a planet level threat.

Gabriel wasn't interested in the lesser power, so he skipped it and clicked the Greater power. In the greater power section, he sees Crossover power where he could pick any power from the published comic book character and gain its powerset. Of course, he only gets the weakened powerset, but it will gradually become more powerful in time, but sadly it will take decades or more to regain the more powerful character. The power that depends on force also can't be used, for example, the Speed force and Power Cosmic.

Next is exalted, Exalted will make him… well exalted above all others, but sadly this power is the same as Crossover, where he needs to wait more than a decade to be an all-powerful being.

Next is Gamer, Gamer power as well... The power that makes his life into a game where he can level up and do some sh*t that game character can do inside the game.

Next is Mad Talent, where he will gain a power that makes him so talented that reality says nope. If he wants to be a thief, then this power will give him the talent to steal even a moon from the sky.

Next is servant, where he can get a powerset and memory of a servant from nasuverse, but sadly if he wants Gilgamesh and Karna Gabriel need to pay extra because of their bullsh*t powerset.

The last is Power of Word, where he can use any word as a weapon; for example, he can use FUS RO DAH like in the Skyrim. 

All Greater power cost him 4 points while Gilgamesh and Karna will cost him another 2 points if he decided to choose them.

Now into the most fun Power, the World Breaking Power. The World Breaking Power has nine powers that he can choose. The first power is Alexandria, the power that makes him Superman on steroids. Not only does this power make him invulnerable to any damage. It also makes him the smartest person on earth.

The next power is Legend, which makes him the Lord of Laser. With this power, he can fire a laser toward his enemy. He is also able to choose the property and effect as much as he wants. He can fire a laser that has the property of poison but has an effect of freezing at the same time.

The next power is Eidolon. Eidolon will make him the most versatile parahuman ever on the earth. This power will let him create another power and use 5 of them at the same time. This power is also continuously active and helps the user for everyday life. For example, if he is lost on the road, Eidolon will give him the power that makes him a living Google Map. If there is an ambush attack? Don't worry. This power will make him immune to any damage for a short amount of time. Sadly this power can't make a permanent power, so every power that Eidolon creates for him will not stay permanently.

The next power is the Emperor of Man. It will give him the power of the Emperor from the 40k Universe. It will provide him with the ability of the most potent physic in the entire Universe.

The next power is Kaleidoscope. Kaleidoscope will give him the ability to master the power of Multiverse. With this, he will have infinite mana, and he can gain his counterpart's power to make it himself. Lastly, this power gives him the ability to travel to the other world.

Next, power is the Inspired Inventor. It will give him the ability to make more power to create technology. Inspired Inventor gives him five charges, and for every charge, he able to develop a specialty that has a threat 3-5. However, the power can't be used in the same specialty at the same time. So he can't stack the same specialty after he gets it. He needs to wait for at least a day before he can stack the specialty. Stacking the specialty will make the threat level increase one level per stack. The total charges also didn't stack, so he needed to use all of the charges before it reset the next day.

The next power is Psychokinetic. This power will give him the ability to control energy. With this power, he can destroy a city without much difficulty and leave it uninhabitable for centuries.

The next power is the most broken power he ever witnessed. The following power is Power Manipulation, which gives him the ability to create another power. However, it also has the same limitation as to the Inspired Inventor. So he can't stack the same power at the same time, and the Charges can't be stacked, so he always has five charges and can't have more.

The last power is Shaper. Shaper gives him the ability to master biology and life in all its form and function. Shaper gives him complete control and manipulation of organic material within a massive area and also senses and understands every detail of it to the atomic level.

While he wanted to choose the Power Manipulation, but he also didn't want to make this character too overpowering on the first day. Hmmm, what should he choose?

After being forced down that hole made by Heidi-sama, I suddenly lost consciousness. The next thing I know, I'm already sitting next to a tree. There's a thick mist wherever I look so I thought that the sun has yet to rise. But that is not the case because, as I looked up, there is a bright yellow light up in the middle. Though it is also covered by the mist. Strange.
 
"Status" A game-like window appeared before me, displaying all of my basic information. 
 
Name: Jean Martin
Age: 30
Owner: Heidi (Queen of the Underworld)
Blessing: Necromancy
 
This is what my basic information looked like on the status window. All of this is common knowledge already. What I need to see is my status points. I quickly swiped to the left using my hand just like Heidi-sama taught and then I finally saw it. 
 
Strength: 10 
Note: You're as strong as a teenage boy who stays at home and does nothing but hold his wanker all day.
Speed: 5 
Note: Remember that turtle who raced with a rabbit? Well you're slower than that turtle. Hahahaha.
Intelligence: 50 
Note: Ohhhh this is somehow decent. Tsk.
Stamina: 60
Note: Yeah. Yeah. I know it's decent.

Note: Congratulations, you're the type who'd get exploited by almost anyone. If a plague hits, you'd be the first one dead. If you get hit by a stone, you die. If you get bitten, you die. If you go into a town and stare at a punk…you'd die because they would beat you up real good.…pfffft.
 
"What the hell is this?" I furrowed my brow as I saw my status points. I wasn't told that there would be side comments for every trait. These are just goddam awful. Arggghh. I bet that Loki guy is the one who designed this.
 
(Actually it was Heidi who designed it.)
 
I scrolled down the status window, seeing the other valuable things that are part of this journey. My Necromancy skill is at level 1 which is expected. There's a note description at the bottom of the skill name, explaining what my skill can attain at its current rank and the means of making it grow.
 
*Necromancy – the skill animates any form of living creature.*
*Current level restriction: You can animate a single human corpse, any animal or monster weaker than a human can be reanimated. The number increases based on how much weaker it is compared to a single human person."
 
 
"So a single human, plus animals and monster corpses can also be used." I said to myself.
"Hmm..I see."
"Wait…"
"Monster!?" 
 
I furrowed my brows even further and facepalmed. These gods have really put us in a sort of death game. Well, maybe that's the reason why we have stats such as strength and speed in the first place. There's a lot more I need to figure out but before that…
 
"Heidi - sama are you there?"
 
There's a function on the status window where the Entertainer can call his/her god/goddess anytime they wish. But I doubt everybody has an owner as convenient as mine. I smiled thinking how fortunate I am to be owned by her.
 
"Yes darling~" Was Heidi-sama's playful response.
"You never break out of character, do you?" Heidi-sama just laughed over the comment.
 
I started walking as I talked with her. There were a lot of trees on the way and I needed to be careful because, like I said. There's a thick mist wherever I look.
 
"So what do you need Jean?" Heidi-sama said in a welcoming tone.
"I was just wondering why it looks like I'm in the middle of nowhere. I mean, there should be a town nearby right? But all I see are trees."
"Haaahh~ my dear boy. You aren't looking at things properly. You are near a town named Ent. It won't even take you an hour to walk there. That is, if you know where it is. Hehe." She said as she hung up on me.
 
 
For the third time today, I got annoyed. 
 
"Yup, she's playing with me." I said to myself.
 Then again, I guess this is better. At least I know that a town is nearby.
 
"Haaaa-" I let out a  deep sigh and just continued walking. 
 
"JOOOHHN!" I heard Heidi-sama shouting over the line. It startled me and made me fall to the ground, my heart beating faster from the shock.
 
"I almost forgot to mention! You have a hundred bonus status points already. Allocate them well okay?"
"Wha –" She continued talking, breaking my momentum to reply.
"Just so you won't ask anything more, they came from the fact that you got delayed from transport for a week and also because you are my entertainer. As per the game rules dictate, no god/goddess can harm an entertainer which they do not own. So yeah, this is the collective compensation from those two incidents. Wanna add anything?"
 
Actually there were a lot of things but right now I am just shocked.
 
"K-bye."
 
I really do have a strange goddess. But I'm grateful for this nice jumpstart. A hundred points huh. That's like hitting jackpot in the lottery! Though where should I allocate them? Hmmmm.
 
Strength would enable me to fight monsters and thugs easier, plus I may need a job. Usually, a man who passes from town to town can only find jobs that require hard physical labor.
 
Speed is also a good candidate for the same reason. If I am faster, I can run away from monsters that are stronger than me. Plus, it's also good if I'm chasing someone down. This could also be beneficial in finding a job. With the amount of stamina I have, I can probably run very far without easily getting exhausted. 
 
Though balancing my stats is also an option. That would be better than just placing everything in one stat and giving me a huge weakness over the others right? But that could wait. For now, I need to find the town.

In estimation, I've already walked for an hour. Yet, I'm still lost. Wherever that town is, when I find it, I'm gonna make corpses crawl over its streets.
My stomach is also complaining. I haven't eaten anything since the moment I entered this world. That's a big problem, I never accomplish anything with an empty stomach. My brain already overheats when my stomach is full. Imagine how busted its gears are when I'm completely out of food. Wait…there might be something I can use to get out of this.
 
"Status" The game window appeared before me again. I looked at all the stats and studied the things that come with strengthening them. 
 
Yes! This is the answer! Out of all the stats I have, one of them is actually more beneficial than the rest, and it would also greatly improve my rate of growth and that is:
 
Intelligence!
 
Yes! If I allocate all 100 points on my intelligence stat, I may just get a great lead!
 
Intelligence would help me analyze things easier. It would also give me a clue on the easiest and fastest way of nurturing my other stats. Lastly, I can understand the towns I would come in contact with. The best way to deal with them. Also, the most beneficial form of entertainment.
 
'Okay it's decided then! Status!"
 
My status window appeared again. At the end of my intelligence stat is a ⊕ icon which, if clicked, would increase my base stat depending on how much unused points I have. I quickly pressed it and allowed all 100 points to be converted to it.

Damn, that's a lot of notices from the game. Guess, converting that much is really a big deal. But I don't feel any change at all. Hmmmm… Let's try these active skills first. Wait, how do I even activate them.
 
"That's easy." Wait, where did that voice come from?
"Say the name of the skill, or just mouth it on your mind, it would activate immediately." Oh…it's in my head. Wait, why aren't I frightened?
"That is because, fear only works when a person does not fully comprehend something master. Your intelligence have already gone beyond human capacity and so, there is almost nothing that could cause you fear now."
"Ohhh. That's convenient. Why do you have a female voice though?"
'That's because my master is a sick pervert who wishes to be with a girl 24/7."
"Heeeey! That's not true! That's not true at all!"
"Heh." I swear I heard the Sage's Wisdom laugh at me, but then I shouldn't complain because it's a really handy skill. Okay then time, to test things out.
"Analyze"
 
A lot of information suddenly popped up in front of me.

"Nice, I can finally eat." I said to myself happily.
 
All I can see is the tree in front of me, but all other trees beyond the mist have also shown their status window. Malia tree. Malia tree. Auburn Tree. Jori Tree. Entrance Tree. Olly Tree. Ja– wait… 
 
Entrance tree!? So does that mean that if I go to that tree I would be able to enter another place?
 
"That is correct master. The tree serves as a portal to enter Ent Town." Ohhh...
"Thanks Sage's Wisdom."
"I am just performing my function master." Was its monotone reply. Although I don't want to call it Sage's Wisdom each and every time. Hmmm. Might as well give it a nickname.
 
"Hey is it fine if I just call you Sei? It's short for Sage."
"Call me what you wish master. I am yours to command." 
"Okay. Sei it is." I said with a grin on my face.
 
Before going to the town entrance, I got a lot of materials along the way. Fruits, herbs, mushrooms, and even rocks. I placed them all on my item storage which also popped up as soon as I mouthed the word "inventory" on my head.
 
While picking up materials, I found the remains of what seems to be a worm from this world. I used my analyze skill on it and found something peculiar. 
 
*Name: Fertility Worm
Species: Worm
Description: This worm is able to enrich soil to a point where all that is planted there will grow in a matter of days. However, they have gone extinct 300 years ago because humans exploited the worms too much. *
 
"Damn, this worm feels like it would cost a fortune." I said. The idea itself of a single worm doing this much is unbelievable.
 
"Inventory." I placed the worm's remains inside my item storage together with another peculiar thing I found with it. At first it looks like nothing more than a stick but, as I used my analyze skill on it, something unbelievable came up.
 
*Name: Warden
Species: Monster
Description: A monster shaped as a tree, Wardens have gone extinct 500 years ago. Due to men continually chopping down trees, the wardens have developed extreme bloodlust towards the human species.*
 
With everything I found, I finally decided to enter the town. Things are going well at the moment but, the real challenge has yet to begin. I am currently at last place in the ranking of Entertainers. Meaning, if I screw things up on this town, I'm as good as dead. There won't be a life after this.
 
"Right let's leave it at that. I need to focus on what I can do at the moment." I said to myself positively.
"You have a hundred-percent chance of dying at your current state master." Was Sei's negative response.
"Gee. Thanks for the encouragement Sei."
"You are welcome master."
 
With that, I entered Ent town. As soon as I did, the thick mist which I found outside also appeared on this town. Come to think of it, this mist is really weird, I might as well try and analyze it.
 
"Analyze" The information suddenly appeared before me and it left me speechless. Paralyzed from what was there. Sei's right, I'd be dead if I don't figure this out.
 
*Haze of Forgetfulness – causes those surrounded by it to lose some memories from the previous day.*

Jean Martin wants nothing more than to finally get employed. Already at the age of 30, he goes to various places looking for a job. However, due to an unexpected turn of events, he gets summoned to the realm of the gods. Together with a thousand other humans, Jean must entertain the gods before they murder him.

The familiarity of the dark world had become a drab for the young demon, the everlasting screams of torment from sinners, the incessant clattering of chains and moans of monsters enjoying their meals of human blood was beginning tip him closer to dementia. 

He remembered when he was introduced into this world,  the screams had given him a sick thrill, the sweet clattering of chains had become music to his ears he wanted to dance whenever he heard them, but now,  as he gazed from above his office's balcony he couldn't help but wonder what went wrong. 

He did not seek to leave this place for it was his home,  what he wanted was a bit of change in his monotonous life, an empty life without an iota of joy present. 

He stalked towards a frame in the corner of the room, tapping significant figures memorized to heart, the wall began to quiver from age moving slowly to the side revealing his most precious object in his life. 

A single black rose which thanks to some magic, lasts longer than its actual life time.

This singular rose was an unspoken promise,  a promise he would make sure to keep,  he could still remember the day he got the rose

The wind blew tousling the young girls hair haphazardly, her once well kept hair which her mother had spent time on, forcing her over active daughter to stay put, hoping she would act like a girl for once but her hope was soon crumpled in the mud pie she was making,  her yellow sundress was no it's bright yellow instead blobs of brown were decorated horribly on it, yet she did not care the only thing on her mind was how she was going to get extra worms for her worm pie.

She scrambled up from the dirt rubbing the icky mud on her once yellow sundress searching for a worm for her delicious treat,  she advanced towards her mother's little garden knowing there would be enough worms there to make two pies . 

She was right, when she held a heap of the sand in her arms she had already seen two of the slimy wriggly creatures, she grinned in delight and continued digging setting the worms in a heap beside her.

Satisfied with amount of toppings she had gotten, she scrambled towards her uncompleted pie,  she hummed to a song her mother always loved singing to her mimicking all she had seen her mother do when she was in a kitchen cooking for her always hungry father,  although they didn't need food,  they enjoyed the taste. 

She was so entranced with her pretend cooking she didn't notice the little boy sneaking behind her.

The little boy had been watching her since she brought the extra worms for her worms pie,  the one food he was never going to eat ever. 

He snuck up on her his breath fanning her back, he leaned into her ear and whispered, "Boo!"

The little girl squealed spinning around and delivering a punch right on the boys nose, knocking him backward into a heap of groans. 

He groaned concurrent words, the girl stood above him her hand over her mouth in shock, when her brain registered what just happened her shock expression was replaced by a look of satisfaction 

"Serves you right..  Never disturb a woman in the chicken"

The boys rolled over on his stomach and scrunched his face "What did you just say? "

She rolled her eyes "I didn't hit you that hard... I was playing chicken duh and I was baking a pie"

The boy rolled his eyes, "Kitchen... "

The little girl furrowed her brow in confusion, "What?"

"You said chicken..."he elaborated, "It's called a kitchen "

The little girl rolled her eyes," That's what I said... Chicken "

The little boy pursed his lips,"No your saying chicken... It's called a kitchen"

The little girl narrowed her eyes not backing down so easily"Chicken... "

"Kitchen!"

"Chicken... "

He scrambled from the floor glaring at her his head tilted to look into her eyes since she was taller than him"Kitchen!! " 

She glared back at him but waved him off, "Whatever come to my chicken, and I'll serve you some pie"

The boy huffed ignoring her clear attempts to annoy him but nodded nontheless following her to the little house she loved playing in. 

"Sit. " she ordered turning away from him to get the pie. 

The both looked uneasy squirming in his seat, I will not eat,  I will not eat. 

He said to his self,  a mantra that he must not forget 

The girl came back with a plastic plate and a brown substance with pink -still alive- worms wriggling in the brown substance. 

He squeezed his face leaning away from it in disgust, "Eww.. I'm not eating that... That.. "

He searched for a word but when he saw the downcast look on her face he found the word, "Delicious looking food"but it was the wrong one. 

She beamed at him placing the plate and a fork before him. 

He picked up the fork a worm wriggling around in it,  he resisted to urge to gag looking to the girl, "Do I have to"

She nodded her head,  her eyes set meaning she wouldn't change her mind. 

He looked back at the fork then at her, the the fork, he didn't want to eat it,  but he didn't want to hurt her either. 

He closed his eyes and held his nose bringing the fork to his mouth when a scream stopped him. 

She squealed laughing "I can't believe you were actually going to eat it !!" 

The boy dropped the fork, sand and worms everywhere, he growled lunging for her "You lied to me you... You awful human being"

She was taken aback but was able to dodge him in time running around giggling "You can't catch me.. "

The boy smirked taking the challenge he grabbed a handful of dirt and ran after her flinging it at her while laughing like idiots. 

Occasionally he would hit her with mud and she would run after him hitting him with mud,  it had turn into a game of mud tag with no winner since they were equal in strength. 

Soon they were panting in fatigue, dropping on the ground in heaps of laughter. 

"That was fun"

He chuckled "Yea it was"

"You almost ate worm pie"

He rolled his eyes "I'm gonna get you back for that"

She giggled standing up from her position ambling towards her mother's garden,  when she returned she had something behind her. 

The boys eyes narrowed "If that's another worm...  I'm gonna "

She shook her head quickly "No it's not... "

She brought out her clasped arms before him. 

"Then what is it?" he asked. 

She opened her hands a dark rose in hand,  her mother loved dark Roses so her father planted them for her,  they were high maintenance but worth it,  that's what her mother always said. 

The boy looked at it in amazement "It's beautiful... Like you"

The girl blushed and the boy had registered what he just said. 

"I mean.. I didn't...  Your not... "he ranted

The girl giggled placing the flower in his sweaty hands

He looked at the flower puzzled"Why are you giving me this?"

She shrugged "It's a gift... Just take it... It's your flower"

The boy grinned from ear to ear," Your my flower too "

The girl blushed again, "Whatever... "

The boy smirked noticing her blush. 

She looked away hiding her blush "Thanatos?"

He hummed in response

She turned holding her hand to him

"What another flower?"

She shook her head "No a worm... " she threw the slimy thing on his head and ran away cackling.

He roared in surprise"Michaela!!!! "

They played all day long till their parents came to take them away,  in their child-like minds they would see each other again.

That was the last time Thanos saw Michaela the next day he heard they had packed up in the middle of the night and moved away,  he was devastated and the only thing he had of her was the black rose and a mouth full of worms. 

Thanos snapped out of the trance when his phone rang a familiar name written on the screen. 

He pressed the green button, "What? "

He wasn't ready for what the person had said,  he didn't want to get his hopes up, he waited for her to say gotcha, I was just joking

Then he remembered who he was dealing with, those three words set his world fire,  rejuvenating cells he never thought were still alive

Those three words replaced his drab world with a new feeling,  a feeling of hope, of determination 

Those three words were his Salvation. 

"I found her"

"....I would do anything to be like her..."
I was about to step out of the door when the neck at the back of my hair raised sharply.

That was my cue, humans were so shallow and greedy that they would do anything to have what others had that was their hamartia, that was what made them easy prey.

"Anything..." I whispered loudly the room becoming colder as I took slight silent footsteps towards her.

She stilled obviously she must have forgotten I was still here,"Who's there?"

I made myself seen staring at her with a slight smirk on my face, "Oh new girl its just you... Aren't you supposed to be in class?"

"Anything?" I whispered/asked

"What?"

"You said anything " I blinked fast eyes becoming darker as it shifted to its usual red color when someone made a deal with the devil or was about to.

"I can make it happen you know... You want to be like her I can make you just like her maybe even better you'll have the cars, the curves, the teeth, the beauty, and of course the men"

Her eyes focused directly on mine staring deep into the empty closet were my soul was once locked in.

"H-How..."

"All you have to do is shake my hand and I'll make your wildest dreams come true if you want" I smiled sweetly too sweetly like saccharine glucose cavity causing sweetly and she didn't seem to notice my canines sharpening like knives, only focusing on my shining red eyes

She nodded her head quickly,"I do .. I do"

I raised my hand slowly as if I wanted to give her a high five,"So do we have a deal "

Chang Guan's eyes opened abruptly. He was, once more, floating in his mind. Chang Guan glanced around, with nothing in sight. `I lost, did I?´. In truth, this was the first time in a very long time Chang Guan had lost against Ryuu Kiyoshi. Normally, Chang Guan wins by a landslide, but this particular time, he stood no chance.

Chang Guan closed his eyes and began reviewing the battle. It didn't take long for Chang Guan to find his first error.

"The Rotation Intent?"

Yes, one of the reasons Chang Guan had lost was due to his first move, using the Rotation Intent to increase his R/s. Although this made his Qi more destructive and gave him amazing senses, it made him partially lose his ability of rational thought.

Make no mistake, if it were someone else, say Ryuu Kiyoshi, this would have been a brilliant move, but Chang Guan's real power came from tricking people with his throwing knives, and for that, he needed rational thought.

In the end, the battle ended before he even had a chance to use the increased destructive power from the Rotation Intent, making the first step more of a hindrance than a boost.

Although this was the main reason for his loss, it was not the only one. He made 2 more major mistakes.

The first was underestimating Ryuu Kiyoshi. Although Chang Guan wanted to insist that he had taken him seriously, he knew himself that this was false.

Chang Guan had beaten Ryuu Kiyoshi the last many times they had battled before this, which made him subconsciously underestimate his enemy.

The second mistake was waiting for Ryuu Kiyoshi to attack. Of course, Chang Guan had a reason for this, he wanted to find out if Ryuu Kiyoshi was going to attack. But looking back at it, If Ryuu Kiyoshi was filled to the brim with killing intent, which he was, then odds were he was going to attack.

By allowing Ryuu Kiyoshi to attack first, he lost the ability to surprise his enemy and was therefore put on the defensive until he was taken out. He had no chance to properly strike.

Once Chang Guan had analyzed his major mistakes, he began looking at his smaller faults.

"When I threw those first throwing knives if I had adjusted the position of them by just 2 centimeters, Ryuu Kiyoshi would have been unable to block it..." And "If, when I had jumped back, I had changed my angle a little, it would have set up my next attack better." Were both thoughts going through his mind.

Chang Guan didn't know why he started looking through even the smallest of details. It wasn't the first time he had been in a close battle, yet he never studied his actions as deeply as he had now.

In truth, this was an effect of the Rotation Intent. In order to enter his mind, Chang Guan first has to calm himself to the point of extremity. Even if he doesn't feel like he is in such a state in his minds room, he is absolutely composed. Then, his calm state of mind will naturally observe and evaluate his every move.

But Chang Guan had no idea about that and assumed it was because he had just 'Died'. He stayed in this state for about 2 and a half hours before had finished contemplating his actions and drawn a firm conclusion.

Chang Guan stood up and said,

"It's been about 3 hours, I should probably leave."

After stating this, he closed his eyes and left his mind's room. He woke up, to see that the sun had moved a bit in the sky. He contemplated for but a moment before mentioning,

"That's peculiar, it's only been about an hour."

Chang Guan didn't know exactly how long it had been seeing as he could see no clocks, but a short look up at the sky told him that it couldn't have been longer than an hour.

"I guess, for now, I'll just assume that time goes by 3 times faster in my mind's room."

Well, what else could he do? Chang Guan knew that the Rotation Intent may very well be his largest asset in the future, and so wished to understand it.

"I've had a long enough break, time to continue."

Although he wasn't very enthusiastic about the notion, he knew he had to force himself to move. Although the day was no longer young, it wasn't old either. If he just decided to call it a day and go to sleep, no doubt about it, he was going to stay here for a very long time.

Chang Guan continued moving at a relaxed pace. Although he had to get revenge for his family, he was able to relax due to his policy. `The early bird gets the worm, but the tardy mouse gets the cheese. Rushing is never the way.´

On the boring path, Chang Guan invented a fun game. It involved thinking of a word, then, turning each letter to its corresponding place in the alphabet (Eg. A=1, B=2, so on). Then, you would have a string of numbers.

After this step, you need to add the numbers together so that there is only a single digit number left over. Then, think of a word that had the same amount of letters as the number you have and repeat.

(Eg. Cat -> 3120 -> (3+1)+(2+0) -> 4+2 -> 6 -> Double)

This game was a great waste of time for Chang Guan, who had nothing to do, and acted as a form of entertainment. He thought thoughts like, `Yeah, it's a great game. It doesn't need many people and it can make you think.´ and `Hey, this is kind of like word chain isn't it? I think I'll call it Word links... SHUT UP, it's not a rip-off!!!´

He kept on wandering while playing Word links up until the point where the sun began setting.

"Ahhhh, this is life..."

Lin Sanjiu was drenched to the bone. There were no dry spots on her body. Right after she limped over the finish line, she gave way to her fatigue and collapsed to the ground with a thud.
She was not the only one who lay on the floor like a corpse. Since everybody was running at a different pace and had scattered out along the running tracks during the game, Lin Sanjiu did not know how many of them had survived. It was only when all the surviving runners congregated in this small and compact area that she realized quite a number of them had managed to pull through the ordeal. Looking ahead, they all looked like a bunch of dead bodies.
The contenders were so exhausted that even the very act of aspiring had become a difficult task for them. There was only sharp and shallow puffing and panting that sounded like the wind hissing through an arrow slit echoing in the air. 
Lin Sanjiu's eyelashes fluttered as she gazed into the foggy sky that filled her entire vision. Her mind was blank. There were no concrete thoughts in there, only some fuzzy images, and her body felt so heavy that she could not lift herself up.
Nobody spoke as everybody had exhausted their energy to finishing the race and was too tired even to utter a single syllable.
Well, at least, that was the case for the majority of the runners. There were, however, two contenders who had gotten a free ride throughout the game.
"Who won the first place?" asked Soulsqn as she slithered through the mass of people. She did not have any qualms about showing her worm-like fleshy body in public. As she snaked in between the crowd of contenders, she studied their faces one after another. "Where's the guy who scolded me just now?"
The fatty hastily went forward and reminded Soulsqn, "What are you trying to do? Have you forgotten that we are strictly prohibited from attacking other contenders when we're not in a game?"
He was terrified by Soulsqn's current wormy form, so he stopped a few steps away from her. He placed one of his feet in the front while the other was firmly rooted at the back, assuming a position in which he was ready to flee. It appeared that he would immediately take to heels if he saw that something was not right.
"It's just the afternoon, isn't it?" Soulsqn turned her head to the fatty and asked.
Hearing this, Lin Sanjiu's vision turned blank for a second. 'No wonder I feel so exhausted!'
The race started at 7 a.m. Since it was already noon by now, it indicated that she had been running at her top speed for the entire morning, crossing at least half of the continent before finally reaching the finish line.
"No, the rule is in effect the moment the game ends," Polva said urgently, "Unless you've got another game coming up, why do you think they all are so calm and just lying around here? Without the rules, if someone with malicious intentions shows up, all of them would be dead within a second."
Although she was still skeptical about what the fatty told her, the flesh worm did drop her intention of finding a new human pouch, as she did not welcome any complications that might arise. She sniffed at a contender next to her before turning around. When she saw Lin Sanjiu, who was still on the ground, she snapped, "Why are you still lying on the ground like deadwood? Chop-chop and get up!"
'I should've just let you die there!' Lin Sanjiu cursed inwardly, as she was too worn out to even open her mouth.
Staring into the fog above, Lin Sanjiu tried to rise, but she could not move her limbs. It felt as though her body was as heavy as lead, or as though she was sinking into the sea. She did not know how long she had been on the ground, but when she finally mustered enough strength to pull herself up, the sky had turned darker.
They were back in the Salvation of God zone. Occasionally, they would hear screams and shouts in the distance, but more often, there was only the howling of the wind and footfalls in the air. One after another, the contenders began to leave the area after they had gotten enough rest until there was no one left. If it were not for Polva and Soulsqn remaining by her side, Lin Sanjiu would have thought that she was the only person alive in the world.
"Erm… If you don't mind, I have to put my bodies back on," the fatty said to them softly.
"Go ahead, then!" Soulsqn replied, wriggling her worm-like body. "Nobody is stopping you."
"So…" the fatty lowered his voice as if he was having difficulty saying the next word, "Can we return to the resting zone now?"
"Why? You can do it here."
"Because… there are cubicles in there where I can wear my bodies back…"
"Oh, now I get it. You're embarrassed to put your bodies on in front of everybody!" Soulsqn saw the light, then she giggled mockingly. "You dare to take your body off in public, but you don't have the guts to wear it back?"
"N-no, that's different," Polva stammered. Lin Sanjiu sighed inside her heart.
"Stop making fun of him," she barked at Soulsqn, reprimanding her for her thoughtless action as she struggled to rise from the ground. Every movement she made felt like there was a blade scraping at her bones. When she finally shifted into a sitting position, all the color had drained from her face. She was experiencing an awful lot of pain, and she felt beaten. "We'll return to the resting zone, but first let… let me rest for a while."
"How long do you need?" A cold and gloomy voice that she would never forget erupted from her back.
Lin Sanjiu bristled at the voice, and her blood flow sped up. However, her overexerted body prevented her from making any response. Through half-closed lids, she peered at the source of the sound, asking weakly, "Why?"
Puppeteer stood with his arms folded in front of his chest. He was tall, and his slender physique coupled up with his black attire made him look like a stick figure. As always, his lips were pale white just like his fair skin complexion. The only thing that contained color on his face was the glitter around his eyes that flickered iridescently according to his mood.
Behind him was a sea of puppets. They all stood stock-still as they waited for their master's command.
"Why not? Since you're so damn hard to kill, I might as well take advantage of this opportunity to test whether you have the tenacity of a roach or not," said Puppeteer while inspecting his nails. Then, he raised his head and looked at Soulsqn, who had been frozen stiff the moment he appeared. When their gazes met, Soulsqn immediately dropped her previous haughty attitude and greeted him politely, "Good to see you, Lord Puppeteer! I'm glad to see you in such fine fettle."
Puppeteer paid no mind to her as he was more interested in Polva.
"A test? What if you killed me?" Angered by his laid-back demeanor, Lin Sanjiu forcibly pushed herself up from the ground. Her legs were shaking, and her soles were aching. Even her voice was trembling with pain.
"You? Dead? That's the most hilarious thing I ever heard in my entire life!" Puppeteer sneered, his voice thick with disdain. "If I could really kill you, that would be a dream come true! I would even smile in my dream!"
The fatty had never encountered such an occasion before. Using Soulsqn as his shield, he looked to and fro between Lin Sanjiu and Puppeteer, hardly daring to breathe.
"Where is Gra—Graham?" Lin Sanjiu knew that there was no way for her to catch up to Puppeteer in terms of being snarky. Besides, continuing with this useless verbal exchange would not do them any good either. As such, she quickly changed to another topic to sidetrack his attention.
"He's in a competition," Puppeteer wrinkled half of his face in a scowl. "He insisted that I bring you a message. He wants to meet up in the center of the resting zone tonight."
Lin Sanjiu did not know what the grand prize had done to get Puppeteer to come here and send her a message personally. As if the fog in her mind had finally dissipated, all sorts of questions emerged and filled her brain. 'What kind of competition did he participate in? He's so weak. How can he possibly fare for himself? Besides, why are they in the Red Nautilus zone?'
Just as she raised her eyes to pry more information from Puppeteer, she found that the latter was staring fixedly at Polva.
"Interesting," he drawled slowly. Although his tone was soothing and soft, he still sent a chill down everybody's spines. "He'll be quite a special specimen after I turn him into a puppet."
The fatty gave a little start. His curly hair bristled up. Lin Sanjiu quickly dragged herself to the fatty and shielded him behind her. Then, she protested, "No! You cannot turn him into a puppet! He is my friend."
"It seems like not everyone you have picked is useless. This one is particularly useful." Puppeteer smirked. Just as Lin Sanjiu was going to say something to make him abandon the thought of turning Polva into his puppet, he opened his mouth and queried again, "Then, what about this birdcage? Is that a man inside the cage?"
Lin Sanjiu was getting a headache just answering all the questions. Her brows furrowed in a tight knot as she rummaged through her brain for something witty to come back with. In the end, she settled on an answer that would not only avoid suspicion but would also irritate him, "Oh, this thing belongs to a friend of mine. He asked me to help him take care of this man."
She dared not say this man was her leverage as she did not know how would Puppeteer react to that answer. On the contrary, if she managed to make Puppeteer's hackles rise by telling him that she was protecting this man on behalf of someone, things might get a little easier to deal with.
There was this saying that went like this: it is not your best friend who knows you best, but your enemy.
As Lin Sanjiu expected, the veins on Puppeteer's forehead twitched as the corners of his mouth turned down.
To him, Lin Sanjiu was no better than a pool of filthy water on the road. He did not even want to waste a second on her. "Well, I'm looking forward to meeting your so-called friend." He gave her a sinister smile. Then, he turned away without leaving any messages about the whereabouts of her grand prize.
The moment he turned around, all the puppets followed suit and slowly disappeared from Lin Sanjiu's vision.
Sighing, Lin Sanjiu dropped back to the ground, staring at the troop of puppets that was disappearing into the horizon with bitter regret.
However, she soon relieved herself of such a feeling. Since her grand prize had been following Puppeteer around in the Red Nautilus zone, there must be plenty of people who knew him. All she needed to do was go to the Red Nautilus zone, ask the people around, and she would know which competition her grand prize was participating in.
"Why did Lord Puppeteer leave so soon?" Soulsqn asked, as she still had not gotten around the sudden change in the situation. "Why he didn't bring me along?"
Lin Sanjiu gave her a sidelong glance but said nothing.
"What should we do now? There's still a couple of hours before the arena is closed," the flesh worm asked. It seemed that she had forgotten about the fatty's request to return to the resting zone.
"Right now, just let me rest for a long while." Rubbing her calves, Lin Sanjiu sighed wearily.


Lin Sanjiu is a normal woman in modern-day society. Everyone admires her outstandingly handsome, gentle, and rich boyfriend. However, Lin Sanjiu feels vaguely afraid of this "perfect" boyfriend. She's always felt that her boyfriend looks at her like she's a tasty piece of meat...

The transformation happened one night. Sanjiu got into an argument with her boyfriend, and he finally revealed his true colors. As it turns out, he was a being with special abilities from an apocalyptic world who wanted to eat Sanjiu to help him evolve. To his dismay, he ended up being the one killed by Sanjiu with her hidden abilities instead.

However, Sanjiu's troubles don't end with her dead boyfriend. In fact, the world she resides in is starting to go through unusual changes. This world is becoming a scorching hot hellhole...

"Now you can disappear, right?" said Han Sen while drinking water.
 
"Boy, don’t be too arrogant..." exclaimed the thin man.
 
"Go," Li Yufeng stood up and said.
 
Watching the group going away, Han Sen was then able to focus on his food.
 
"How did you do that?" Ji Yanran looked and Han Sen curiously and asked. She trusted her own judgment, and the spitball should be under the middle cup originally.
 
What she did not understand was when Han Sen retrieved the spitball from the middle cup and placed it in another cup. She did not see how he did it.
 
Han Sen just smiled at Ji Yanran and said faintly, "It’s a secret."
 
"Big deal. You must have used some cheating method as well," Ji Yanran said, pouting.
 
"You show me how I cheated then," Han Sen blinked and said.
 
"I don’t know how to cheat," Ji Yanran said, with her gaze on the three cups, wanting to know how Han Sen did it.
 
"If you really want to know, I can tell you on one condition," he said.
 
"What do you want me to do?" Ji Yanran looked at Han Sen vigilantly.
 
"Since you are my girlfriend, shall we go to dinner and movie sometime?" Han Sen suggested with a smile.
 
Ji Yanran stared at Han Sen and said, "Who is your girlfriend? If you say that again, I won’t be polite anymore."
 
"So, you do not want to know?" Han Sen was not the least scared by the ferocious look on her sweet face.
 
Ji Yanran paused. She really wanted to know how Han Sen did it. The members of Hand of God Society were always playing this game, the key factors of which were speed and eyesight. If she could learn the method Han Sen had used, she would be invincible in this game.
 
"Just a meal and movie?" Ji Yanran blinked and asked.
 
"Yes." Han Sen laughed.
 
"Well, that’s fine. Now tell me how you did it?" Ji Yanran hesitated and said.
 
"In fact, it is very simple. As long as your hand is fast enough, you can do it with some special gestures." Han Sen did not lie. He was simply using Sleeveblade.
 
But his hand was too fast and his movements too subtle, so Ji Yanran could not have seen how he had managed to do it.
 
"If you won’t tell me the truth then forget it." Ji Yanran refused to take Han Sen’s word for it, as she did not believe that he was that fast.
 
"If you do not believe me then there is nothing I could do. I’ve said all I could. Don’t forget about the dinner and movie tomorrow," Han Sen shrugged and said.
 
"I promised you dinner and movie, but did not say when. In a hundred years, liar!" Ji Yanran spit out her tongue at him, chuckled and left.
 
Han Sen had intended to practice operating warframes before Starry Cup began. However, Lin Beifeng told him excitedly that he had discovered a nest full of mutant creatures, which Lin could not take care of alone and asked Han Sen to hunt with him.
 
"Sen, hurry. Teleport now and we could split the mutant creatures fifty fifty." Lin Beifeng did not dare to go alone and was reluctant to cooperate with any of the gangs. If he did that, he might not even be able to get 30 percent.
 
After all, he only provided a location, and in accordance with the rules, if he did not contribute anything else, all he could have was 30 percent.
 
"How long does it take?" Han Sen hesitated. The Starry Cup will begin in a few days. He had promised Fatty that he would go. It was also his idea to apply for all the items, so it would not make sense if he missed it.
 
"It’s not far. Just in the southern mountains. With mounts, it would take us less than a day." Lin Beifeng quickly said.
 
"Fine, wait for me at the gate of Steel Armor Shelter. I will be there." Han Sen was very interested as he only had 52 mutant geno points and wished to gain more.
 
Han Sen used the school's teleport station to enter the shelter, and saw Lin Beifeng walking around the gate in circles, looking very anxious.
 
"My brother, you finally come. Let’s go now." Lin Beifeng grabbed Han Sen the moment he saw Han.
 
The two summoned their mounts and marched into the southern mountains. Han Sen saw that Lin Beifeng was still riding a primitive mount and laughed, "Lin, why are you still riding a primitive mount?"
 
"Mutant mounts are very rare. I have been looking but no one was selling." Lin looked at the mutant three-eyed beast Han Sen was riding admiringly.
 
"I have one. Are you interested?" Han Sen was ready to sell the mutant horned sand fox mount since he had no use of it.
 
"You should have said so earlier. What kind of mount is it? Show me!" Lin quickly said.
 
Han Sen summoned the mutant horned sand fox. Lin fell in love with the strong white fox and said, "Sen. I will take it. Name your price."
 
"Do you have S-Class license of Saint Hall?" Han Sen asked.
 
"Those are hard to come by. My family had some, but we have used them up," Lin said helplessly.
 
"Alright, then I will take a larger share of the mutant creatures this time," Han Sen pondered and said.
 
"No problem, but they all seemed to be the same type of creatures and it does not do anything if you eat too many." Lin looked at Han puzzled, not understanding why he would want so much of the same kind of meat.
 
"I'm not eating them myself, but feeding a pet." Han Sen summoned his golden rock worm king.
 
"Feeding a pet with mutant meat… How extravagant!" Lin saw the golden little worm in Han’s palm and asked, "It must be a mutant pet?"
 
"Guess again," Han Sen said with a smile.
 
Lin Beifeng suddenly widened his eyes. "This is a sacred-blood pet?"
 
"Why not?" Han Sen said.
 
"Wow, Sen, you are so awesome that even your pet is sacred-blood." Lin Benfeng thought about it and said, "So I will take this mutant beast soul mount. No matter how many mutant creatures we hunt, I will only take five and the rest are all yours."
 
"Cool," Han Sen agreed right away.
 
What Lin Beifeng found was a large nest of mutant creatures and it would not be a bad deal.


In the magnificent interstellar era, mankind has finally developed teleport technology, but when trying to teleport, they are not sent to the future, the past, or any land known to men...

The beginning of the movie was indeed a bit boring if one came to watch the movie expecting to learn something. The fighting scenes were lame in the eyes of warriors and cultivators even though the heroine showed strength much greater than ordinary people.
If one watched it as an ordinary movie, the chase part was in fact quite thrilling. After all, not every movie or game would begin with a great battle between an immortal and a demon as in the Legend of the Sword and Fairy 3.
At this moment, the camera turned to a telephone booth by the road. Meanwhile, the agents were crashing toward it while driving a big truck.
"This thing looks to be in the same category as the shop owner's racecar…" Curious, Tang Yu walked up and stared at the truck.
Boom!
As a loud noise sounded, it seemed like the telephone booth was shattered with the heroine in it.
The headlights of the truck shone on the shattered telephone booth.
"She's not in there?!"
At this moment, the dozens of viewers stood on the opposite side of the street with Mr. Fang, staring at the destroyed telephone booth.
There wasn't a trace of the woman; it looked as if the truck had crashed into a ghost.
"Boss… Are you sure this isn't Silent Hill?" Loli Jiang Xiaoyue moved closer to Mr. Fang subconsciously.
A big white deer raced to her. "Princess Your Highness, there… is a monster!"
Then, a Smirking Face Emoji floated over. "Strange. How come a little demon dares to venture out?"
 "…"
Three agents got out from the truck. Agent Smith seemed to have anticipated this situation. "She got off."
"!!??" All the people froze. "How did she do it?"
Even hackers have to follow the basic laws of nature when escaping, right?
Did she flee through the internet cable?!
"Master."

At first, the Hacker Morpheus directed Neo through the phone to escape from the chasing agents in the big office; Morpheus even knew the exact moment when the agents had their backs to Neo. Easily, he helped Neo dodge the agents and get out of the office.
He was just beside the agents, but the latter couldn't see him because he was in their blind spots, so they didn't discover everything.
All of this was because someone directed his moves from a distance.
Some people in the audience had played Grand Theft Auto 5, and they did the Fleeca Bank Job. They felt like this scene was like when Lester used his own little software to avoid the bank's defense software and hacked into its security system.
The audience watched while Neo failed in his escape and was apprehended by the agents.

I looked around me, gazing at the wisps of light freely floating in this dreamscape land. Slowly, they started converging on one point.

A flash of light eclipsed like a nova and stunned me, who was already on the floor from the shockwave. Shielding my eyes from the harsh radiance, I slowly stood up and peered through the slits in my hands at the projection that had formed.

It seemed like a holy creature, perhaps a seraph from the stories. Its celestial glow shone over me as the reflection in my eye showed a pure maiden slowly forming.

"Hello, traveller" observed the spirit as she smiled down at me.

I grinned and replied, "Hey there beauty, how are you doing?" Giggling at my sudden flirting, the spirit blushed and shyly turned her head. I inwardly grinned, hell yeah, I still got it!

Recuperating herself, the spirit said "I'm your guide to this new and unexplored land called 'Land of Legacies'. This new world has Heritages, and you need to find them. They can be found in ancient ruins or historical sites.

After you find a heritage, you can create a faction. Factions are what makes this world fun and adventurous, without the different factions warring, it can be boring.

So the aim of the game is to create the most powerful faction, or join a faction, receive their heritage and make that the most powerful faction! You got all that?"

I nodded his head slowly. Luckily the game hadn't long come out otherwise all the other players would have had an unobtainable headstart, one impossible to catch up to. Even so, why did she speak like a little kid, and why did she repeat the word 'Factions' so much? The creator of this game must be running out of words.

"Alright now you understand the aim of the game, so to speak, let's discuss your character customization!"

With a snap of her fingers, a handsome middle-aged man appeared in front of me. He had pitch-black hair with an almost almond skin tone. It had a face which one could easily trust and looked especially dashing when smiling.

The body had a slim build coming in at an average 5"10. It was a chiselled physique with streamlined muscles built for speed and precision but could still offer what it had for raw power. 

Smiling into my face which hadn't gone through the hardships I had, I almost missed the angel asking for confirmation for if this was the body that I wanted to use in-game. I didn't bother changing it as the maximum capacity for change was 5% anyway, and the whole underground knew my face.

"Now the name!" the angel said excitedly. "What is it going to be?" I already knew what my name would be. What better name than the one that everyone used to degrade me with? Instead of using it as an insult, it would now be a point of pride. Everyone would know the name! "Icarus!"

"Okay okay. No problem! Next is the race!" the angel declared with a just grin on her face as if she had completed something noteworthy. I started to peruse the options given to him and was shocked by the sheer amount.

There were obvious races like [Human] and [Elf], but also slightly more unique races like [Troll-Drake Hybrid] and [Sun Worm]. Scrolling through, I filtered out all races not suited to assassin techniques. After all, that was where all my skills lay. A butcher wouldn't want to become a politician after retirement, and even if they did, would they be any good?

It's highly adaptable to all scenarios and is a stable race.

Overall, humans looked pretty ordinary. They had no main strengths but also no weaknesses. Other races suffered racial debuffs, some more pronounced than others. A [Celestial Frog] gained buffs to <Defence> and <Constitution>, but debuffs to <Dexterity> and <Charisma>.

However, to me, only one race stood out. It was a unique race called [Shadowborn]. They suffered huge debuffs on <Constitution> but had extremely good <Dexterity>, <Willpower> and <Perception>.

[Shadowborn]
There is no race more suited to a path of darkness and solitude than the [Shadowborn]. Spurned from society for their great gifts, they slowly developed into masters of stealth and assassination.

[From the Shadows] - The [Shadowborn] are an elite race that blends into the shadows automatically. Their entire body is shrouded with darkness, including their soul, giving them an almost impenetrable soul semi-resistant against <Charisma> attacks.

[Teleport] - This near-unique skill allows [Shadowborn] to completely melt into shadow, and use it as a portal to travel to another shadow in sight. At higher skill levels, this skill can be used to shadows that are not in sight. It has a low-mana cost, no cool-down and instant cast time.
