I simply cannot keep up with the large volume of writing.

 Why did this happen to me? Many people have tendency to ask such questions. And overwhelming majority never would have received a response. I was different. I got a response. Although one that I absolutely cannot accept. 

 To understand the situation, we must first, go back few years in time. I have just finished high school. And without false modesty my scores were great. So much that I even were given offer of a very high scholarship. My parents understandably were ecstatic. Of course that ecstasy only lasted until I rejected it. Afterwards not so much. That night was tough, to say the least. Argument with my parents escalated to the point that concerned neighbors called police on us. Well I say concerned now, though that was not adjective I used to address them back then. But I digress. The point is that after burning almost all bridges possible, I slammed the door on my furious father and left home. 

 From there I went to work for a friend. The guy didn't have much problems in life. He was the very definition of a young master with a filthy rich background. So when he decided to stop pursuing any higher education and instead open his own game development company, he received enough support to immediately skip tedious process of creating it from zero, instead receiving almost complete team ready to put his vision into a reality. And in some strange turn of events I became this team's leader. 
 
 Yup. My first real job ever and immediately I was the second most important person in this huge company, right after someone who might even be even more inexperienced than myself. As you can imagine it wasn't easy. In the short period afterwards I picked drinking, fired thirty percent of the staff, arguably veterans of the field, who refused to cooperate, and replaced them with people similar to us. With zero experience, yet with ton of talent and vision. Again, modesty is unnecessary.

 After this somewhat shaky start, we finally started our real work. And we refused to start small. We picked old, yet classic single player RPG game, bought it's license, and then fueled by enormous funding and even bigger ego publicly vowed to make it into greatest MMO of all times. 

 As a testament to our inexperience, we didn't try to limit our creativity in any way. In the same time as hundreds people followed our chaotic directives, for the sake of expanding already massive worldbuilding and hype, we contracted a bunch of people in other fields. Novels, remake of original game, animated series. We built franchise around the game we were making, and which majority of observing experts dubbed impossible to finish. And based on constant overstepping of budget and changing estimated release time they seemed to be right.

 Yet, six years after we started working on it - we did it. Maybe with two years of delay, and with numerous problems, but we did it. 'Secrets of the Origin' was shown to the world. It went viral. And we kept our word. There were experts who seemed to not have any better activity than picking faults with it, but still they had no choice but admit that it is simply a masterpiece.
 
 And we weren't done. All of the next updates only cemented this view and position of the game in hearts of the gaming community.

  But of course everything had to meet it's end. Eight years after the release I couldn't go any longer. I was one bottle from going into rehab, carried half of the pharmacy in my backpack, and when I heard game's opening song I was getting physically sick. So with a huge grin on my face which barely masked my overwhelming grief after leaving the team, I sold my share of the company and in good atmosphere, with good wishes both from community and colleagues left. Of course only after politely telling dozens of headhunters who were trying to destroy my newfound freedom to go fuck themselves. But it was only a minor matter. 

 The major matter was that after I left, a bunch of core members of the team followed my example. And people who came to replace us were getting into even more conflicts than I did at the beginning of my career. After all who publicly declares that they are the best and that their game would be better than anything ever produced before? Only morons could do that. My case doesn't count since I had absolute confidence in myself. 

 And as one might imagine the final product was a total crap. When the final update spearheaded by the new team came out, all hell broke loose. The game was full of bugs, plot was confusing and in direct conflict with everything that we did before, worldbuilding that until now was pride and joy of the game now was only skimmed through and worst of all: main protagonist of the original game - at this point practically an icon, and all time favorite, possessing numerous independent works only about himself - sacrifices himself in the opening animation without any prior foreshadowing at all. It was supposed to be a symbol of the end of the old era, and beginning of the new one, yet instead community made it into a symbol of the end of the franchise. Developers promised that it's not a case, and it will continue to work on reaching even greater heights than ever before - under yet another new team. But luckily it had nothing to do with me. I long since have left the country and started to pursue my long cherished dream of travelling the world. 

 Few days after this statement came out, this happened. One chilly morning I was walking out of the apartment of my new girlfriend when something impossible to explain happened. In the middle of the town, in a narrow alley no longer than two hundred meters a truck was driving down the road. At 211 km/h. I don't even know how I have information about it's speed. It just strangely popped into my head at the moment the track was passing through the place I originally stood. And even if I was already a little more than wet stain on the wall, somehow I still managed to perceive how immediately after, the truck mysteriously slowed down to normal speed without caring about the laws of physics at all and turned the corner as if nothing had happened.

 And all that brings us to the current moment. Me sitting at an old garden chair with a stupefied expression on my face, staring across the table at a bratty little girl who pointed her small finger at me with a clear accusation steaming out of her entire being. 

 Yes. A moment ago that she declared that she's a supreme goddess, and it is my fault that her favorite game 'Secrets of the Origin' has gone to shit.

One of the creators of the most popular MMO-RPG on the market, quit his job. After he did so, chain of events started leading to the closing of the development . Eventually he met very unreasonable fan of his, starting of events of this story.

"Self-castration is also a shortcut for Dong Fang Bu Bao to learn the most powerful martial ability!" Feng Bujue mocked the remark. "Isn't this Togepi's Metronome? But even Metronome has a chance of unleashing Hyper Beam! What is this limitation according to my level and ability‽"
But to be honest, it was better than nothing. Ever since he obtained A Strategic Victory, Feng Bujue had encountered more than a handful of weird bosses. Either they were invisible, or they were bosses like Mr. Yoo. Even if there were normal bosses, he somewhat managed to avoid them. At least this new skill could be used in battle. When facing an enemy, if he used Kyaa! and chose to fight, it would be of some use, right?
It was around 11:20 pm. Feng Bujue glanced at the social tab and noticed that both Laughing Soul and Passing Rain had already gone offline. His friend list was a slate of gray. At this time, players who entered the game in non-sleeping mode would have logged off to reenter the game in sleeping mode. Feng Bujue prepared to do so as well. After gaining his reward, he pressed the elevator button. Once the door opened, he strode into the storage.
"Now that I think about it… I sure lost plenty in these last two scenarios." As he inspected the game menu, he walked to the nearby glass tube. "I did increase some mastery levels, increasing Sorcery to Level E in the scenario where I ran into the Anomaly, and my Medic mastery also strangely levelled up in the scenario earlier…"
"Please select your additional reward: 1, random draw of equipment corresponding to your current level; 2, 50,000 Game Coins; 3, 7,600 EXP."
"Even with the additional EXP, I'm still far away from levelling up. Hmm… I'll get another piece of equipment then." Feng Bujue still had not learned from his previous lesson. After the white light pooled, it materialized into the shape of a gun, and this gave Brother Jue quite a shock.

"Haha…" Feng Bujue obtained two excellent quality pieces of equipment consecutively, but he didn't appear that happy. He held the gun, wore the mask, and returned to the elevator. Honestly, his stats were very powerful. Compared to other players under level twenty, his equipment and masteries were all impressive. He was weaker in terms of skills, but it was already good enough.
Of course, this was merely a comparison on paper. It did not mean much in a real fight. If he entered a 1v1 Killing Game and encountered a level nineteen player, things would be completely different. Any player from a gaming studio with a focus on marksmanship or fighting could beat Feng Bujue.

I was able to calm the chaotic storms that break out in the Void, creating a safe area for other banished souls, some of whom I later recruited and restored back to reality. The fragment of Nehemiah's spirit entered the Void secretly to guide me, while Bella, the God of Space, left the Divine Realm to supervise my growth," Baiyi said, his recollection coming to an end. 
"I now marvel at how accurate the name I gave you is! Back then, I named you 'Hope' because I considered you the future for exiled phantoms like us," the shocked Archmage said. "Who would have known that you were intended to bring hope not just to us, but to the entire universe? This has got to be the first time that I came up with the right name!" 
"I'm glad you said this, as I'd be too embarrassed to mention this. That being said, it is thanks to the sacrifices of Nehemiah and Bella that the Void is no longer a lifeless wasteland. I have grown so much, I now understand the Laws. I also brought for you all an abundance of knowledge from Earth," Baiyi said. "After this long string of coincidences and deliberate but subtle guidance, perhaps modern humans like us have carved out a different path."
"Although the powerful Gods of yore destroyed the Laws, two surviving Gods, Nehemiah and Bella, sacrificed themselves to bring you to this universe — for this reason, our new path was formed. Does this not mean that the self-destruction of the old Gods brought a great opportunity for rebirth? What an ironic but dramatic twist," the Soul Armature Practitioner muttered.
"According to the Scripture: ' Destruction and creation are two ends of the same moment.' The Gods know this and dictate it to us, but in their time, they lacked the courage to make sacrifices," the Shadow Walker said, after listening to all Baiyi had said. "But, there's still something I don't understand: You're the hope for this universe, brought here only after many sacrifices have been made. Why then do the surviving Gods act so hostile towards you, our only hope?" 
Baiyi sneered. "It is because they have grown dependent. They have become really comfortable in this unstable sanctuary, forgetting their pride and past glory. After millennia of being worshiped by humans, they've changed — the same way I changed you and Mia changed Noriciel. Complacency has caused the Gods to lose the courage to destroy in order to create. All they want is to maintain the status quo! This is why I have no desire to join their ranks. I'll be ashamed to be associated with them!"
The Cleric Walker suddenly looked uneasy. "Um, I think the feeling might be mutual for the gods. They must not be confident that you will succeed in rebuilding. However, they turned hostile towards you when you laid your hands on an Arbiter's Right — the only thing left to ascertain their identities as Gods. Before that, the Gods were incredibly lenient with you, weren't they? Besides, the reason you were compelled to understand the Laws and uncover historical incidents is because of that mysterious armor, right? Did you manage to ascertain its origin?"
"No. However, I did manage to discover that the armor was created before this universe, so it is probably a relic from the Age of Gods, just like the Caudillo Butterfly bow. Is it a coincidence that these ancient weapons outlived their masters, surviving all the way to the present? Humans of ancient times created a lot of Law-manipulating tools, and these two ought to be the least remarkable of the lot. It is just a coincidence that the mysterious armor was linked to the Temporal Law, while the element I needed the most to grow was time," Baiyi said, just as confused about this as the Cleric Walker was. "How many times can I call strange occurrences like these 'coincidences'?"
"Maybe it wasn't a coincidence at all. Maybe it was a gift from one of the gods. Just look at this war — the Joint Proclamation said that the gods were united in rage, yet only the Time God and the Nature God had sent their Angel-henchmen," The Archmage supplied a bold guess. "How about that kinky bodysuit you've received back then? Maybe these were gifts from the Power God and the Life God. They probably think they should hold onto what has been working while at the same time, hope that you do eventually find a way to avert this calamity."
"A compelling hypothesis! The Fairy Kingdom's tragic affair a dozen years ago may also provide corroboration. Do you recall? The incident originated from the Nature God's covetousness towards the Power God's Arbiter's Rights. That, and this Holy War, lends credibility to the notion that the gods are far from the harmonic monolith that we often conceived. It is highly plausible that the gods harbor dissents amongst themselves behind an apparent facade of unity," The Scholar added, buoyed by the Archmage's suggestion.
"Wait! What about the One True God oft-mentioned in the Scripture? What kind of god is he? What kind of power does he command? What's his opinion of you?" The Paladin asked, curious.
"Well, that guy was one of the most powerful among the surviving gods — the successful architect of this postwar sanctuary! Unfortunately, the guy exhausted all of his mind and being to build a shelter for us. All that is left of him is an empty husk mounted on an altar to be worshipped — hey!" Baiyi abruptly stopped, startled.
"The Fourth Walker just told me to poke the Thirty-first Walker?" He said nervously. "Don't tell me that that guy has been the One True God all along!"
Even among a group of oddballs, the Thirty-first Walker's eccentricity was peerless. Baiyi had immediately thought something was amiss with this particular recruit the moment he talked to him. It was not that he was so overwhelmingly quirky or strange, but because he was so starkly boring. His life and memories were such a bland snoozefest that it made one wondered how did he end up becoming a demigod without any significant trials in life, let alone joining the Void. His life records showed no love, hate, or any other emotions — he really "had no life." Baiyi even believed he was more of a cardboard cutout with a life story hastily created within a second.
The second time Baiyi talked to him, the man said his name was "Key"— and that was all there was, as he went to a deep slumber shortly thereafter. Baiyi honestly thought he acted more like an AI than an actual person.
Afterward, Baiyi only contacted Key when he needed more players with which to start a game. The man was so quiet and forgettable, other Voidwalker just forgot that he was there. They had only just learned of his name. 
On the other hand, this meant the Thirty-first Walker could have been a god all along! After all, if Nehemiah could disguise himself as a shoddy mystic living right next to Baiyi for millennia without being detected, the One True God could also be doing the same too!
Nervously and excitedly, Baiyi began to poke the elusive Walker.
"So?!" The other Walkers asked in unison. "Who is he? The One True God? Will he willingly submit himself to the Fifth Walker's dictatorship?!"
"Tsk! Not even close!" Baiyi clicked his tongue with disappointment. "He isn't even a person — it's just the One True God's toolbox! Or should I call it: the assets to creating a new world!"
After training his mind to become more finely attuned to the Laws, Baiyi finally realized that the Thirty-first Walker was never a person, which explained why his life and memories felt manufactured. In truth, "Key" was a digest of Laws encompassing domains as diverse as Life, Power, Nature, and more. It was akin to the One True God's brain, as his soul and mind had long transformed into Laws of their own.
For all they were worth, Baiyi quickly noticed that the digest offered only a cursory view. It was very different from the Temporal Laws Baiyi had studied during his "slumber", where everything was connected into a complete whole. Even if Baiyi had finally grasped every single Law in this digest, it would not be enough to steal the other gods' Arbiter Rights.
However, it would have been enough to inspire ideas for creating new Laws. Perhaps the intention was to have Baiyi study them so that he could conceive a brand-new system by himself. Either way, this was why Baiyi had called them "assets for a new world," a toolbox, or perhaps a crash course.
In conclusion, the Thirty-first Walker was a monumental gift. It was a present, bequeathed by an illustrious ancient god to a modern one, all for the hope that the latter could create a better world.
"To the person who gifts me this: I may not know who you are, but thank you," Baiyi said to no one in particular before taking the precious Key carefully. He planned to study and digest them some other time at his leisure. Now that he had undone the temporal limitation on himself, Baiyi had all the time in the universe to read.
"So, what are you going to do now?" The Archmage asked.
"What else? We're going to see our grand ambition to the end!" Baiyi proclaimed without hesitation. "But we're not going to descend to this bleak, grim world. No, we'll be descending to a new one, one that we ourselves created! Of course, this will take a lot more commitment and effort, but some of these work can already be done right now. For instance, what kind of world do we want?"
"Hands down, a world of waifus! Hot young girls in black silky pantyhose under that alluring short skirts everywhere!" The Paladin immediately chirped.
"I want a world where I will always pull out my favorite characters! A world where the rate of summoning is just and fair!" The Archmage cried.
"I wanna be the very best! To catch them all is my real test; to train them is my cause!" The Soul Armature Practitioner shouted as he tossed out a suspicious-looking red ball in his hand passionately.
'These people lapse back into their disease almost immediately,' Baiyi thought, shaking his head.
"Look, our academy still needs to go on, okay? We're gonna need a lot of quality human resources to make our new world works; don't you all forget that," He said, changing the subject. "On the other hand, as a celebration for our victory in this Holy War, may I suggest we play a game? It's great training for me in worldbuilding as well."
"Holy cow, yes! I haven't played a game for so long! What kind are we playing? And how do we play now that we're in this state?" The Archmage said excitedly.
"Well, well! Why don't you find it out yourself?" Baiyi replied cryptically and waved.
In a snap, all the Voidwalkers fell into a deep sleep, their minds already transported into a new simulated world. They were not the only ones; Baiyi's little girls and the Voidwalkers' students, while previously excluded from Baiyi's fanciful games, were now also part of this strange adventure!


Imagine being forced to live, after death, as incorporeal bodies trapped in a vast space of nothingness for thousands of years, with nothing to do but exchanging past memories with other cohabitants (read: weirdos).  Everybody wanted out, but there was no way to leave the Void... 
Until one day, a young man was finally summoned, as a powerful but reluctant mentor, by a bubbly and motivated but completely naive young girl. Baiyi, finally out of the Void, was the only one who could save all of the other 32 souls from their prison and his summoner might just be The Key to their freedom.
However, Baiyi had to use the techniques and abilities the other souls had taught him throughout the years, and together with his own extensive knowledge of anime and game tropes from his shady and dangerous past as an otaku, to face the biggest challenge of them all: training the clumsy young girl he was forced to partner up with… into a competent sorcerer!

Ok, first of all, some character developments have been outlined briefly. And when I say briefly, it's 'not so seriously detailed' description of the characters.

I was having a blast writing the pokemon fanfic that I actually stopped outlining the character developments for a bit. Anyway, back to the character development sh** that lots of readers are looking for when they read a story, I am done with Megumin's, Yunyun's, Eris's, and a bit of Aqua's.

Character development is not my thing (world development is much fun to write), but to not make my characters into a flat and decorative one, I'm gonna put some effort to do it.

For the Worldbuilding side of this story, I have already created 4 dungeons for this(one of which is Keele's) and added some towns here and there.

Note: I'm not writing an Asian drama BS so don't complain about this focusing on the adventure factor of the story. This is a story with an ADVENTURE tag for God's sake! If I added the 'Drama' BS then it would be full of cringy scenes. About my Pokemon fanfiction,

I'm having so much fun writing it. Around 20 chapters are already made, from 1000-1200 word count(since I don't want it to be too long). And it is, like this one, slowly but surely progressing. Also, as I've stated above, don't read it if you don't like a slice of life novels, it will be a waste of your precious time. I will be posting it, around the time I reach the 100 chapters quota.

Hey guys, you might have wondered why I haven't posted a chapter yesterday.

I wasn't slacking off. I was sitting with my hand above the keyboard for the majority of the day.
But my hand didn't move much.

This was not a phenomenon called a 'writer's block'.

It was more of a 'realization'. 

I fucked up. Plain and simple. In so many places that I can't even begin to think about how to fix this mess. 

Let's start with the basic thing. Protagonist. Or no. With an idea about the world. Konosuba is a comedic world with very little worldbuilding. I thought it would be awesome, even if I couldn't replicate such a wonderful comedy I could at least add more things that would make this world a little bit 'logical'. And what did I do in the first 500 words?  

I introduced a character with a trait that didn't make a goddamn sense. Kazuki's scars. I mean, it would be all fine and dandy if this was a comedic series. It was a character trait like Maika's (from BlendS anime) sadistic gaze that scared everyone even though she was a cute anime girl. But do you see the problem with that? Yeah, it contradicts my idea about a more 'logical' world. It simply didn't make sense but my brain desperately clung to the thought it was somewhat logical. 

Ok, let's leave those poor scars for a moment and talk about Motivation. It's something that defines the character. Since all of you are novel readers you don't need me explaining that motivation is pretty FUCKING important. Like Eren's desire to kill Titans or Luffy's dream to be Pirate King or Naruto's to be a Hokage. My character got none... and what irks me the most is the fact that I could've easily given him a good motivation. 

The Wish! You may not remember this thing, because it is mentioned only once in Konosuba novel and anime. One time in my fanfic as well. But it's pretty damn important. Or... it could be. For helping the world to get rid of Demon King you can get anything you want. ANYTHING. Erasing Kazuki's scars would probably be easier than ANYTHING, right? My dumbass brain never got that idea until just recently. That sounds like pretty good motivation. And after achieving the goal he could just find another one. 

But as of chapter 54, he's got 0 motivation. And it would be impossible for me to add that motivation in any way that wouldn't make me cringe as a reader. 

I won't start on how Kazuki doesn't have a defined character because there are too many situations that show this perfectly. He's like a walking contradiction at times. Sometimes calm, then rash. Sometimes calculating, then downright dumb. Sometimes confident, then nervous. Sometimes cunning, then dense. No one is perfect but Kazuki, after re-reading my novel from scratch, feels like a character that was written to suit the scene. And it should be a character that acts according to the scene. That is really important. 

It might seem weird coming from the author but even I didn't realize how much I've fucked up until I sat down and re-read it from scratch while trying to think logically. 

Ok... besides Kazuki being... a badly written character there's also Chris. I mean... Contrary to Kazuki I think she is portrayed somewhat well. At least I hope so. Besides one major problem. I can't... for the life of me ... understand why did I think that she would move in with Kazuki without batting an eye. I just can't fathom what was I thinking at that time. Since then I had lost the grasp on Chris's character. Because of the fact that they lived together, every time I was getting trying to write a scene with that house in the picture I had massive hold-backs. I didn't understand why writing about story in that place always gave me so many problems. It was because it didn't make ANY SENSE...

There's also [Imitate]. I still think it is an extremely interesting power. But it's not something I can possibly give justice to. I realized that somewhere around the 20th chapter. But I didn't want to be like my friend that constantly stops writing his novels at the drop of the hat. I thought that as my writing skills increase I will be able to pull it off. To this day I think it is too overwhelming power for me to write about.

I think I did well with Megumin, Aqua, and Wiz. Megumin being  #1 girl in the series in my opinion probably was easy to spot. 

Kazuma and Darkness on the other hand... I only realized how little I know of them when I started imagining their interactions with other people besides the original cast, with a different set of experiences. I don't understand them... and leaving them was impossible due to how I structured character interactions.

I just couldn't find a way to remove any of those problems at this point... and with them, it's simply impossible for me to continue.

Sorry guys that I've wasted your time but I hope that you had at least a semblance of fun until this point.
