"Hmm....you know...a few days ago....an old friend of mine came to me delivering some urgent informations" Long Yu Ren eyes instantly turned serious when he recalled the information he got from his old friend.

"Your old friend? You mean, God?" Long Ao Zhen raised his eyebrow indifferently as he propped his chin in a cool way. 

"Yep that old friend. He came dropping by for a tea" Long Yu Ren laughed slightly exposing his white pearl-like teeth.

Long Yu Ren then told Long Ao Zhen about what the God said. Apparently, the God notice that somehow, a creature who wasn't supposed to be in this world, came to this world. In another world, a BUG. 

Because of the BUG, the space and time in this world was disturbed and it could somehow create a dimension hole. The God didn't know whether the dimension hole was already created or not but one thing he knew was that this hole would be very dangerous for all creature inside this world.

Through this dimension hole, a lot of other creature from many different worlds could come invading this world, resulting in what we called apocalypse.

Unfortunately the God didn't tell Long Yu Ren that this world male lead's fate string had been broken and changed into a new one. He couldn't possibly tell Long Yu Ren that this world is actually a world inside a novel right? 

This was what the God should kept as a secret. It would be very strange if one day you discovered that you actually live as a mere character in a novel world right?

"So....you want me to find that BUG?" Long Ao Zhen finally talked after he finished hearing his grandpa story.

"Hmn" Long Yu Ren nodded his head seriously. The God said that the BUG might be in the lower realm. His grandson would soon be back to lower realm so why not giving him this task? 

"How can i detect the BUG?" Long Ao Zhen rubbed his chin while processing this new mission he got from his grandpa. This should be another S rank mission LOL.

"Nah....sadly the God also didn't know how but he said that the BUG should come from a different world in the form of human being. He also said that the BUG will gave a certain different aura compared to other people so maybe you should just mark all people that is unique and different from the others" Long Yu Ren sighed and massaged his eyebrow. He too was quite confused with this mission that the God ask him for help.

The God didn't even know how to accurately identify the bug so how could he, a mere old dragon could know....

Long Ao Zhen felt that this mission was going to be a long one. It shouldn't be easy to found a single BUG among the sea if human right? Haishhh he got another hard mission....

"Oh right that mission is only your secondary mission. The main one is....i want you to visit the translator who made a contract with Feng Kingdom. "Dong Xi Academy? So i should enrolled to that academy?" Long Ao Zhen was a bit reluctant to do that because he wanted to accompany his 'wife' to collect the antidote. If he went to this academy then...he would leave her alone...

"Yep. I already enrolled you and you can go there in summer next year. You're going to be 21 next year so you're going to enrolled directly as a fifth year student." Long Yu Ren didn't know Long Ao Zhen intention so he just casually told him the necessary information.

Summer next year? It is still a long time from now...maybe i could accompany her till she found the third herb....okay then...

"Oh…" Hong Dali moved back a bit, turned around, looked at the translator, waved him over, grinned and said, "That who, translator, yes, you. Come here, come."

The first days in his new home were long and difficult for Timothy.  No one would tell him when he could go home and eventually; he stopped asking.  The house he lived in was very odd to him.  People would come into the shop and often comment on how old things were and say things like "can you believe people once used things like this?" and "How did people survive before modern conveniences?"  To Timothy things like a record player or toaster were wondrous.  Yet the only room that held any interest for him was the library in a small area in the back of the shop.  It was a cramped space with a chipped and stained tile floor.  It did have a couple of small windows that provided some daylight, but with a dozen old bookshelves, some wood, some metal, all mismatched, the room felt dark and always required the light of the bare bulb that hung from the center of the ceiling.  A single metal chair with worn vinyl padding took up a space between two shelving units in the back of the room.  That became his spot.  Books were the only things his new world seemed to have in common with the old, even though most people that came in the shop had very little interest in them.  
For the first six months, a tutor and a therapist would come to their home and work with Timothy to help him learn the language, evaluate his education level and help him adjust to his new life.  He never resisted their efforts, but it took him weeks to want to try and learn.  That day came on a Sunday afternoon when he was able to spend time in the library by himself.  He had just finished reading a book with his translator and started looking for another one.  He would hold the pad up over the spines of the books to read the titles to make his selection.  When he came to one that didn't translate, he pulled the pad away and to his surprise the words on the book spine were in his language.  As he pulled it off the shelf, he realized that some of the words were familiar and others were not.  He opened the book and tried the read it, but only some of the words looked right, and others were spelled differently than he remembered.  Switching the translator to audio mode, he took the book and found his aunt who was making lunch in the kitchen for them.
"Aunt Vickie?  What is this book?"  He asked holding it out to her.
"Well, let's see," she said, happy he was starting to warm up to her a little more.  She took the book, sat down at the small kitchen table and put on her reading glasses.  Timothy grinned as he never saw anyone wear glasses before and he thought they were silly.  "I know they make me look like an old lady, but I have to wait until I'm done with my cancer medication before I can get my eyes adjusted again.  So, this book.  I think it came in with that estate sale I bought up last year.  It looks like it's a collection of old Celtic poems and stories."
"What's Celtic?" Timothy asked.
"Well, it's a language that was once spoken by the ancestors of the Scottish and Irish peoples.  As a matter of a fact that is where our family came from originally.  O'Hara is an Irish name.  We have several ancestors that came from Ireland and some from Scotland.   
Timothy had been told that his father came from the "old world," but he never knew that his father's family came from the same place the old world village came from that he had learned about in school.  The idea excited him as it was a connection with where he came from.  "I want to read this," he said.
Vickie smiled and retrieved the school pad they were using to teach him English.  "You can use this to look up words, even these words.  It will show you the English version, and then you can use your translator to know what it is."  She typed the first word in the book into the pad, and the English translation came up.  She then wrote the word by hand on a digital notepad and had Timothy hold his translator over it.  Vickie knew she could have shown him how to reset his translator to do everything at once, but she wanted it to become an exercise in practicing his English.  
The boy didn't question the process.  He eagerly looked up each word, wrote it out and then translated it again.  In about 20 minutes he had the first poem completed, and his lip quivered.  Vickie looked over his shoulder and read the first passage.  "Little Bird!  O little bird!  I wonder at what thou doest, Thou singing merrily far from me, I in sadness all alone.  That's pretty, but a little dark."
The boy lunged at her and wrapped his arms around her waist, sobbing and shouting, "I want my Mother!  I want my Mother!"
Vickie put her arms around the boy and said, "I know Honey.  I wish she could be here with you, but you know she can't."  She knelt down and rubbed some of his tears off of his face.  "You know, my Dad used to tell me that people are never truly gone if we make a point to remember them.  And we remember people better when we talk about them.  Can you tell me something nice about your Mother?"
Timothy pointed to the book.
"Okay, what about the book, your Mother liked books?"
"She told me that poem," he said with his chin nearly on his chest.
"She told you this poem?"
He nodded.
Vickie remembered something about what Roy said to her about the people of New Terra.  He was recuperating aboard a hospital ship when he called her through a vid-link.  That was the last time she talked to her before he violated the quarantine and when back to the planet.  During their conversations, he tried to describe his experience to her.  He told her that the people of New Terra where descendants of Scottish people kidnapped by the Serkin for slave labor centuries ago, but she didn't think much about it at the time, as she was more concerned about his health than the details of the place he was trapped on.  Now she wished she had asked Roy more about that world before he had abandoned his life to return to it.  She sat back down at the table and turned the page of the book.  Gently she pulled Timothy onto her lap and used his computer to translate it for her.  She then read to Timothy, the translator changing her words to his language and they spent the afternoon exploring their shared history.

The First Hunter is a short Korean, action-fantasy novel situated in a post-apocalyptic world. Monsters start appearing out of nowhere and people are unlocking strange powers. Those who unlock such powers are called ‘Hunters’, ones with the strength to kill the monsters. To fight and survive, that is their goal. Society crumbles and the world burns.

A very fun novel that dives into the plot almost instantly. The novel is interesting in a way that it depicts a lot of human nature and what people would do in a situation such as this is quite an accurate manner. The character development is also very good as you get to learn about the characters, their backgrounds, and their stories. All in all, this is another novel I’d recommend to a lot of readers who are interested in reading fantasy and gaming novels.

"She is now in charge of serving the princes. Her treatment is much better than yours," said the Chinese translator as he glanced at Wang Chen and laughed. "She's such a delicate and bright flower. I heard that the princes have different opinions on how she should be allocated. I don't think it's necessary at all. In any case, she would serve the princes after all."

The sound of footsteps came from the deep end of the corridor, and a figure approached gradually in the light of the shaking oil lamp. He was dressed in a neat Taoist robe, with a ebony hairpin between his hair. He was handsome, but cold and indifferent.
Wang Qing!
There was a little more maturity and vicissitudes between Wang Qing's eyebrows, but he did not appear old. Li Xianyu looked at Wang Chen again. His temples were white and his white hair had appeared prematurely.
He walked out of the fence and looked at Wang Chen for a long time… 
"Teacher said that as long as you hand it over, you can avoid death." Wang Qing opened the gate of the fence and stepped into the cell, stopping in front of Wang Chen. The sky fell apart as his consciousness fell into confusion.

"It's good that you're fine. I almost thought that Demonic Priest would take you away again." Hua Yang breathed a sigh of relief. "Great-Grandma was flustered. I assured her that your vitals remained stable. She was then able to relax."
Bang! Li Peiyun held the sword of qi and advanced layer by layer. The steel torrent could not stop the edge of the sword of qi. Even Taoist Venerable's sword was broken by this loud bang.
There was a cry of surprise from the crowd.
Taoist Venerable had lost?!
"The game is over!" Hua Yang's face was full of surprise. "Taoist Venerable was defeated by a junior."

His roar was almost like the Buddhists' loud roar. At such a breathtaking critical moment, it even attracted the eyes of the audience.

When Li Xianyu was 20 years old, he received his father's inheritance, an 18-year-old great-grandmother who was incredibly beautiful. 

Li Xianyu: "Great-Grandma, why are you so young?"

Great-Grandma: "That's because I died when I was 18 years old."

After Ivan descended into the fourth dimension to hunt for himself and Mazur, Valeria nervously began searching the ship for him. Naturally he couldn't communicate with her, so he had no method to explain to her he would be gone for a while.
Mazur found her as she was getting increasingly restless and running around the ship. 
"Tsu Viskers ut noskis Ivan, por?" Valeria worriedly asked in her language while backing away from him.
Mazur still hadn't finished the translator, but he understood that she was looking for Ivan. He was slightly irritated that she was calling him by the distasteful nickname 'Whiskers', that Ivan had introduced him by.
He wanted to approach her and correct his name before it became a habit, but Valera had a strange fear of him and ran away as soon as he approached. Ivan hadn't notice it, but Mazur had. Whenever he approached the two, Valeria would slightly move away from him and closer to Ivan. He presumed this to be due to the fact that his appearance was far more alien than Ivan's.
Valeria continued to evade Mazur and refused to be close to him by herself. Mazur chased her around half the ship exasperatedly, yet still failed to catch her. He could dive in the fourth dimension and sneak up on her, but she could escape as soon as she sense him.
Feeling defeat for the first time since he fell into the hopelessness of old age, Mazur gave up on the pointless endeavour and went back to building the translator. The Poseidon's computer was more than capable of constructing a translation database for such an archaic kind of language.
Ivan soon ascended from the fourth dimension and arrived with a pale face beside Mazur.
"That's a pretty deep injury," Mazur pointed out while looking at his true body. "Did you meet a dangerous creature?"
"Yeah, it looked similar to a lion, but it had six legs and four red eyes. I decided to call it a Four-Eyed Devil Lion," Ivan stated factually before continuing after a brief hesitation, "If you meet it, just lie down and accept death. It's simply too strong."
"I'm not going to die now that I have just become a higher existence of life. There is too much for me to explore and experiment with," Mazur snorted contemptuously. "By the way, that little fox has been running around like mad looking for you. All you did was feed her, making me tempted to cut open her head to see if she has an imprinting mechanism in her brain."
"You just don't understand people. Don't touch her."
"Yeah, yeah, boss."
Ivan paid no more attention to Mazur. He had brought back a dead fish from this trip and a small pile of firewood pre-soaked in the energy water. A fire was soon lit and the two of them cut the fish up to roast. 
After eating, Ivan walked through the ship and found Valeria hiding in the corner of her room. As soon as she saw him, she calmly stood up and walked to quickly to follow behind him.
Ivan could tell she hadn't eaten so he led her to the kitchen to have something to eat. She refused to go though, instead wrapping her little hands around his and trying to drag him in a different direction.
Valeria pulled and tugged at Ivan as she led him to the side of the ship where an electro-shielded glass window provided a view of the world outside. She hastily said a few indecipherable words as she pointed to various points in the forest.
Ivan wasn't sure what she meant, but upon looking closer at where she was indicating, saw various Vulpes in military outfits discreetly spying on the ship.
"I see, so they've already spotted us," Ivan said indifferently. "Valeria, you go eat something, I'm going to take a closer look."
Ivan used body language to tell the little fox girl to go eat something before contacting Mazur over the Poseidon's internal communication line.
"I've spotted the local military hiding in the forest scouting us," Ivan spoke into the console near the door.
Mazur's voice lazily responded shortly afterwards, "Oh? They certainly found us quick."
"It was probably those Vulpes who escaped the other day. I'm going to go out and have a look at what's going on."
"Try not to be seen, if they get spooked and release a nuclear weapon, our ship most likely won't survive and we'll be stranded in this solar system for the next century at least."
Ivan agreed with him before moving through the fourth dimension to directly jump out of the ship, flashing through the air and disappearing into the forest like a shadow. He strolled through the sky amongst the tops of trees as he scouted the surroundings.
The Vulpes soldiers were more numerous than Ivan had initially expected. Only twenty or so soldiers were in the immediate surroundings monitoring the ship, but there were thousands deeper in. It was a country's military by the appearance of the. They had been shipping supplies to rapidly build defensive fortifications.
Ivan was greatly surprised at how much they had done in merely days. In order to arrive here with all this equipment, it was less likely that the escaped Vulpes gave away their positions and instead the world had detected their arrival.
Further out, near the edge of the forest, a large metal fence has been put off, cordoning off the area where the Poseidon was. Heavily armored trucks and tanks continued to drive into the forest, but they ran on some type of unique engine which produced very little amounts of noise.
Back in the ship, Mazur showed an interest in what was happening outside the world. He had managed to build a semi functioning translator and was rapidly improving it with his test subject.
Over two weeks, the military presence around the Poseidon continued to increase in force, to the point where they stationed defensive lines in the immediate surroundings of the ship. Every day, a man would come forth with a megaphone and call out to the ship in the Vulpes language.
Mazur had finally finished the translator and built a second one for Ivan. It was a simple device which they only had to speak into it and it would automatically translate it the Vulpes language into the galactic language, and vice versa.
"Can you understand me?" Ivan asked Valeria with the translator.
"Yes," Valeria answered with a nod, glancing nervously toward Mazur who was standing to the side observing the test and making notes in one of his research journals.
"Good, I need to test this thing quickly. Tell me, what is your name?"
"Kivsharr."
Ivan sighed reluctantly. For some reason, the little fox girl was adamant about calling herself by this name.
"It's not translating this word, Mazur. Is it actually her name?"
Mazur flicked through his research journal to double check some entries before replying, "No, it's not her name, but closer to a title. The hole in her ear had been seared with a hot iron, like some kind of punishment. It is most likely a form of brand for her status. The fact that she is still alive today, is because none of the normal civilians wanted to risk their lives if she fought back."
Ivan nodded in understanding before turning to face the little fox-girl. "Valeria, did you understand that? Is it correct?"
Valeria stared at her feet as she gave a curt nod.
"What was your crime?"
"For stealing food, along with killing a few people in self defense."
Unlike her usual steadfast appearance, she was teary-eyed and held one hand over the hole in her ear. It was as if she was reliving the experience of being branded a Kivsharr, the despair she felt upon the sentence being made, the pain of the hole in her ear being cut out and seared with a hot iron, and the torment of being treated like an animal from thereon after.
Ivan felt sympathy for the little girl and wiped the tears out of her eyes.
'What the hell!' Ivan suddenly thought in a panic. 'Since when have I ever felt sympathy for some kid. Don't tell me, this is one of those damned side effects of Mazur implanting those memories into me!'
"Stop crying and pull yourself together, you're not weak like that," Ivan forced himself to ignore the girl's plight but took a softer tone as he tried to console her without being undignified. "Your name is Valeria, my first emplyee. That is all you need to think about. Now come with me, the translator works, so let's go meet those people shouting outside every day."
"Hey, don't I count as the first employee?" Mazur shamelessly chimed in.
Ivan rolled his eyes and responded, "Unpaid labor doesn't count as employment."

The base hatch of the cargo hold opened and formed a ramp to the ground. Ivan walked out with a table over his shoulder and Valeria towing behind with four chairs.
Vulpes soldiers saw this movement and rapidly begun moving in defensive position behind the sand bag barricades. Higher ranked officers shouted orders but the too many people's voices overlapped so Ivan's translator wasn't able to decipher it properly. While Mazur had a brilliant mind, there was only so much he could do in two weeks.
Ivan placed down the table and chairs and sat on one end with Valaria, while leaving the other two seats open. He turned and smiled to the soldiers currently pointing their assault rifles at him as he motioned toward the empty seats.
Even though no words were spoken, everyone understood Ivan's intentions and commands began to pass through the military encampment at a rapid pace. Not long after, two individuals strolled out of the encirclement and heading toward the makeshift meeting point.
One of the Vulpes was a tall military man covered in bulging muscles and carrying a domineering atmosphere with him. The second was someone of average size, dressed in a blue formal attire somewhat like a suit, but with overlapping folds of cloth which caused his collar and cuffs to flare out.
As the two Vulpes took a seat, Ivan placed the translator on the middle of the table and began by saying, "You may call me Ivan, and this is Valeria."
The device in the middle of the table quickly relayed the words into the Vulpes language. The military officer had extremely strict discipline, and ignored the presence of Valeria as he stared intently at Ivan.
The diplomat, or perhaps a kind of feudalistic noble under Ivan's speculation, didn't have that same discipline and couldn't help cover his mouth in distaste as he glance toward her.
Valeria lowered her head in shame, feeling out of place, but Ivan lifted her chin without even looking and commented, "Chin up. You represent me, so don't ever lower your head to someone else."
"What is your purpose in coming to this planet?" The military officer said unwaveringly.
Before Ivan could even think of a response, the diplomat raised his hand and waved it at the military officer. "Now, now, don't be so abrupt with our guest. This is our first meeting with life from other planets, and he appears human too. The first thing is learning about each other, such as culture.
"What part of that appears human? Just look at his eyes!" The military officer glared at the diplomat with anger clearly present. "I represent the safety of our citizens and ensuring the elimination of any hostile threats!"
"Ehem!" Ivan cleared his throat with a smile, his deep blue '+' shaped pupils drawing in the Vulpes attention. "I can answer one at a time. It's much simpler than you think, I was merely searching for someone to put my feet down. I am currently in the process of starting a unique company unlike no other, but to do so, I happen to need both a base of operations, and a plethora of skilled employees."

Ivan Storme was once a billionaire, a man who ruled with money. His company operated in all sectors across Earth and was publicly renowned. However, Ivan had built most of his power with shady and illegal means, often conducting inhumane actions for the sake of profit. When this information was discovered and released to the public, he was forced to flee or face a life sentence behind bars.

With all of his past accomplishments and fortune crumbling before him and with no path of survival in front of him, Ivan took desperate measures to escape pursuit. He contacted an illegal human experimentation facility and paid all the money he had on hand to be cryogenically frozen in stasis for 200 years when the technology to revive someone from such a state existed.

When he woke up from stasis and was expecting a new life in a highly developed world filled with flying cars and holographic projections, instead he woke up to an unfamiliar environment in a completely different galaxy..

Ivan was sure of only one thing. The time he slept for was definitely not 200 years.

From the author: This has been on my mind for a long time so I have decided to put pen to paper, metaphorically. I'm currently doing an average 7ch/week + extras as I like, I will update this of any changes.
