 young man nodded, with eyes indicating that everything was in order, sitting in an armchair, calmly watching the moon, stars,  remote night village and forest through a window.
"alright ,  you should go sleep now   Jon …  I am a bit tired lately, that`s all. You know, I'm in a period of growth, so sometimes you can experience ups and downs of mood , it is normal."
"good night then young master." the servant left the room and slowly went down the stairs.

It has been about 3 days since some headaches and mood swings started, but today was the most intense one .
there were no apparent reasons at all. sometimes his body experienced a feeling of tremendous energy, and sometimes of great emptiness.
Qingbao stood up from the armchair and headed for bathroom. after taking a warm, refreshing bath he calmly lay on bed while being lost in thought. soon he fell asleep.

It took some time to   collect himself.   At that moment, the memories of his past life had already merged with his present personality …  confusion was gone   and then came slow  laugher

Indeed, after recollection not only did memories and experience of past life came but mental power also had some drastic change. it felt like 50% increase. not to mention that before awakening, the light already had very strong mental power. it was his intrinsic nature.

 as later he liked to say "person`s death arrives in different  forms.  sooner or later death will come.  so  instead  of focusing on  lost  focus  on  gain .what is there to   "gain" you ask ?- reminder of your mortality  .  death of  loved ones gives two possibilities  on how you can choose to look at situation.  first one – like common folk likes to do-  grief and indulgent  in self-pity , second one- "biggest gift" that is left by loved ones, even without any  awareness  of that  .  they go  but  they leave behind "remainder of death"  so  instead of focusing so much on  grief  focus  on "gift " .  even Unexpected  death of loved aren't in vain … as a result, your clarity rises.  
You are not inclined to spend so much time on meaningless actions that are often so likeable by common people. The entertainments invented by people, no matter how sophisticated they are, are just pathetic attempts to be forgotten and avoid boredom, without going beyond the comfort zone.

By chance light`s eyes landed on books.

Qingbao wasn't bookworm but never less he liked spending some quality time   reading books in library.
On one of the summer days. in library 6 years old Qingbao was reading books about travelers about forging, medicine, herbs …, suddenly master Zhìhuì   came in. after being quite for some time, what he often liked to do, he started walking toward the  books that young master  was reading .
"hmm… how is it, how do you feel about these books?"-asked Zhìhuì   in relaxed manner.
"it is really amazing. world is so vast just thinking about these  experiences makes me really excited."
Zhìhuì  faintly smiled:" if I could give you any advice … it would be: forget it, forget what you have read…! "
"forget it ?!"  -exclaimed bewildered young master.
"no matter how wonderful books are they are, after all, just secondhand knowledge …

the more verbal, the less real….  If you pay too much attention and allow yourself be mesmerized by authors then you may lose "your" unique path… use books only as reference, there really ain`t other value .  follow your intuition , even if ideas may contradict to what you have read …  only following your own unique path - you perceive a unique world, and this is exactly the world you need, and that kind of  world also needs your existence… Believe without believing.     After room was warmed up light stood up and went to work-desk and staring drawing a new design for daggers. In fact, thanks to inborn high mental power light was very talented in creating weapon designs, growing up medical herbs, studying medicine – whether it was hands  on practice or theoretical thinking it was far above average. 
10 years of life were spent on reading books , traveling with master Zhihui to other cities – selling medicine and  weapons ,  weapon forging , some medicine practice  and cultivating  medical  herbs ,  practicing  or I would rather say  comprehending  martial  arts . 

Qingbao was more introverted and  when interacting with other kids  he  did so only   on basis that it  wouldn't be  his home village and travel time was the best choice   ,  as he was free to make social experimenting on friends/and foes . after all, while gaining valuable  experience , if  something went wrong  you can easily  cut off interactions and start anew.  if it is hometown, where people can easily find you, then that will be a hassle.  so, in this 10 years qingbao gained some social experience whether it was creating by his very own hands "friends" or "enemies "or converting "friends" to "enemies" and backward.  it is all thanks to his high mental power and guidance from master Zhihui that gave him some level of grasp of human`s heart. as master Zhihui often said "sometimes it might not be the case but nevertheless often there aren't necessary eternal friends or eternal enemies.  one can transformed into another.…" . In the end Qingbao was lone wolf. as for this "friends" or "enemies" they were just temporary companions.
  
After 15 minutes new drawing was done.

usually, during forging process or concocting medicine, light`s concentration would   rise and as a result , time would slow down.  in reality it is not that time slows down  ,  it is just that the intensity of experiencing life moments increases .
. the more conditioned your mind is, more you see every day as the" same day" and quality  of perception is more  mechanical  . it is kind of  "  I have already seen everything " feeling.
 Master Zhihui  often liked to  say "life is short and  there is much to be experienced . if you can not extend time of life in terms of quintinite then you certainly can in terms of quality. 
Knowledge imposes an image and lies, Because the image is new every moment, And every moment there is a new and shocking Appreciation of all that we were. So forging and medicine and any other activities are not just to gain skills , it is to train intellectual concentration!"

today light yagami`s mental power increased to another level due to past life`s memories recollection so the depth and quality of his concerning was on another level too.

"all right, I think, I need more time before I can get used to this recollection of past life`s memories … to think that I would be living in another world.  so, death is not the end? I once remember that Ryuk mentioned, world of death gods wasn't used to be  in such boring .declined state.  were there any external factors involved, perhaps?  Haha hahah..  world is surly a true mystery … 
Master Zhihui once told me that in this world there are some "extraordinary" people called  "sorcerer" or  "magus." And they can cultivate them-self to grasp power of nature. whether Master Zhihui   was "extraordinary" or not is not clear. 
nobody knows, he said, whether one day I will encounter chance to embark on journey of" sorcerer", nobody can be certain of that. what truly matters is the mindset that you cultivate. there are some lucky ones who have opportunity but cannot grasp it. so all I can do is "be prepared"…hmm you know it would be fun if  one day I cultivate my-self to the point of having ability to  travel to dimensions and by chance meet Ryuk… and maybe visit earth too …ahaha  
all right , i suppose, i am entertained enough by a few ideas ….in 3 days I will go to town "Límíng".  Every five years there is large commercial gathering. Weapons, herbs. Medicines are sold there. Getting some necessary supplies and selling some stuff will certainly do good. As  for now, it is best to  have a nap .
in this following days I would like to organize and merge "this" life's experience with "that" life`s …
And so, after using up some creative energy on forging, more clear-headed light went to bedroom.


in the night sky there can be seen some bizarrely  pulsating star ,standing lonely among other stars  and quietly   illuminating   darkness in this  life and death cycle  .

Eventually, with burn marks scarring his entire body, and the level 5 armorer sank to the ground.

The Merchant of Avarice's eyes lit up at the sight of so much gold. 10 gold was the equivalent of 10,000 silver. It was a huge payday.

Normally, this amount of gold was impossible to possess right now, unless you were Steel Slice and could afford to throw around large sums of real world money.

The disaster level event being triggered introduced so much chaos into the system, that balance was bound to be thrown out the window in some situations.

Even so, finding instances of wonky balance was not easy. This particular exploit required equal parts wits and luck to figure out.

Seriously. Who in their right mind would think to backstab the village vendors for profit in the middle of a goblin invasion? You'd have to be a huge asshole.

Books' voice broke me out of my self-reflective inner monologue.

There was no need to try to haggle the loot distribution with Books. 10 gold was a massive sum at this point in time, but you couldn't put a price on having a trustworthy ally.

Meat Shield was level 5 now. It made me sick knowing that my pet was catching up to me in levels. I checked my status and put a point in physical defense.

Now it was time to collect my hard earned loot! A wicked smile appeared on my face as I approached the locked armory door.

I took the key and unlocked the door. The room gave off a musty smell. I stepped into the small armory.

"Eh, it's still a small town huh. Not that great of a selection."

Beginner staves, swords, and bows lined the walls.

"Ah, it's a shame we can't carry all this beginner equipment with us. They're cheap individually but would add up to a tidy sum together. But my inventory has a kg limitation…"

Books sounded like a real merchant.

"Kg limit? Actually… I can help with that."

I opened a portal to the dimension room and began throwing all the beginner stuff in.

"Wow, your class gives you limitless storage space?"

"Yeah, more or less."

Books looked at me with a pouty, envious look in his eyes.

"I want that ability. Hoarding should be a merchant's specialty."

"Don't be greedy. You already have your potions."

I took the Basic Amulet of Magic and Thief's hood, while Books took the Helmet of the Warlord. Since it was a rank C item, The Helmet of the Warlord was worth more than the two of my items combined.

Books offered to cover the difference with gold, but I declined. We were set to share a lot more loot in the future, so it would be troublesome to be tied back counting small differences.

Books appreciated the gesture.

The items were really suited for us. I got a mana regen bonus and some much needed vitality, and Books got a flat strength boost. With the strength bonus, Books had a strength stat that equaled a rare melee combat class at his level. It was time to fight our way out of town.

The developers at Eclipse company were captivated by a certain duo holding their own during a goblin invasion in town. They were alerted to the duo by the system, because they were the first to kill an NPC shopkeeper in the game. It was an impossible task to pull off at their level, or at least it was supposed to be if the game world was in a normal state.

The goblin king's invasion threw many of their calculations off, and feats that were deemed impossible under normal circumstances were now possible.

Eclipse company's developers had access to unrestricted live game footage that the general public did not have access to. This kind of footage could make millions of dollars if broadcasted, but would destroy the integrity of the game by offering perfect information.

The live footage showed a hooded user named [Spoon] using a strange black colored magic on his left hand to tear into the goblin's flesh. His companion, a user called [Books], cut down goblins with his Fine Sword, chugging potions whenever he dropped before 40% health.

"What are their classes?"

"I predict [Spoon] to have a black magic class, and [Books] to be a mercenary type class."

"Hang on, I'm pulling up their data."

"[Spoon] is a [Dimension Thief] and [Books] is a [Merchant of Avarice]."

"…"

A merchant and thief class, holding their own in a fight where even the [Barbarian King] and [Berserker] had trouble?

"I really like the Merchant of Avarice class."

"Thanks, my team designed it."

"If your team designed it, why didn't you recognize it from the footage?"

"I never thought the merchant class could hold its own in combat…"

"What is this Dimension Thief class? Did we add that in the game?"

"I don't remember seeing that."

"Check the logs."

"That means it's a unique class designed by the Eclipse AI itself."

Books, Meat Shield, and I made a formidable fighting force. I severely underestimated Meat Shield's fighting power as an inter-dimensional cat. She could jump in and out of the dimension room with ease during combat, making her incredibly hard to kill. The only problem was motivating the moody cat to help me.

Meanwhile, Books now had the power of a rare C rank helmet that boosted his strength to the level of an advanced combat class.

We needed to retreat though. Books ran out of potions, and my mana regen was at its limit with how often I was using dimension ripper. At this rate, we were all dead.

The thought of the 24 hour penalty in addition to my PK and shopkeeper killing penalties made my hair rise.

On the side of the street were the bodies of two warriors and a mage from Steel Guild. I ran to the bodies and checked for any loot I could use.

Books was overwhelmed by three goblins. A spear was impaled in his side, and his health was under 20%. Meat Shield was doing her best to keep the goblins distracted enough so that they didn't finish off Books.

I downed a mana potion, then pointed my right hand at the goblins surrounding Books.

"Thunderbolt."

My right hand cackled with electricity, and a bolt of wild electricity shot out from my palm towards the goblins.

Something went wrong.

BOOM.

The palm of my hand sparked and exploded violently upon casting. It was a more serious version of when you unplug an electric socket forcefully, and sparks fly out of the socket.

The wild bolt of lightning struck the goblin in front, instantly frying it. Dimensional thief was a class with exceptional intelligence growth, which magnified the raw power of the mage thunderbolt skill.

The explosion damage was proportional to my intelligence with an S rating, but I only received 25 damage, when a normal mage or thief would have been instantly killed by the recoil.

The low recoil damage was because my magic resistance growth on this class was astronomically high. If I was any other class, this penalty would make thunderbolt a suicidal option.

What happens if you stay in character select for too long? This is the story of [Spoon], who discovers a glitch in character select. Why is there a black cat here, and what the hell is this trash unique class it gave me? Story written in the style of KR web novels. "shut up 987,578,654,587,544,466,754,368,530. I said let's go so let's go." Xiu Ying said angrily and coldly because this red ball dear to question him and it did not even taste like a cookies.  This was normally how Xiu Ying behaves, he was an emotionless 19 year old that had experience more than he should. 

Living without parents from the age of 6 and actually seeing how they had died by the hands of his uncle and aunty while their sick sixteen years old twin son and daughter mocked and insulted him was enough for him to become emotionless. At least that was what people thought but in fact he was emotionless before that.
 Xiu Ying was not a simple child, even his parents knew that but instead of loving him they had isolated the poor child for not being able to feel pain.

 Everyone thought that it was an disease called congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis, or CIPA but unfortunately it was a more rarer case where he just could not feel pain or temperature and he was also seemingly emotionless but a side from that there was nothing else wrong with him. There  was no other complications with the illness which led to his cousin calling him a mutant freak and sometimes even going as far as to beat him to see if he would get back to 'normal' as they say.

What was worst was that his parents allowed it and sometimes they even call some of the maids to help their nephews in beating their son all just for fun. To say the first time Xiu Ying cracked a smiled was at his parents funeral. The second time was at his uncle and aunty with their children funeral but that's a story for a next time would not want to scare you away already. Anyways enough about Xiu Ying .

"O-ok host you are being transferred in 1...2...3...4..." the system said now scared of his host and regretting his thoughts about how his host was being a wimp earlier.

While Xiu Ying felt the light fade from his sight for the second time as he was being transferred into different world.

It is punishment after all and some well due compensation.

Noone has ever seen him until one day your sister that has always been jealous of you caught the attention of Li Wei. Li Wei that have never been interested in anything or anyone to suddenly find something that caught his attention he wanted to keep it for himself. Although he did not fall in love with your sister,  he kept her around as his play thing and your sister use that to her advantage and made Li Wei  kill you because she told Li Wei that you tried to touch her and because Li Wei does not like used good he killed you by lighting your eyes on fire and skinning you. yes very graphic." said the system.

Xiu Ying was curious because out of all the transmigration books he had read out of boredom he had never seen so much point being given at one time but heck he ain't complaining.

Sure he was a system but Mr. BF system was excited for a host after all it was is very first host even if he thought that the host was a wimp that turned out to be a cold and emotionless red ball eating monster but he was still happy that his host was asking him questions nevertheless. But if he knew what Xiu Ying was thinking he would of vomit blood.

For Examples, skills that would have been normally expensive you can buy it at the basic level which is the cheapest level and because your brain would be boosted it would automatically upgrade the basic level skills to a advance or mastery level depending on the skills activated. This means like for example with the hacking skill it can only can go to the advance level because only the GS can be at the mastery and no one else can hold that amount of hacking skills or there brain will fry and then burst but skills like for example cooking would be automatically upgraded to the mastery level."

Wow was all that Xiu Ying could think of when he heard about whats in the beginner kit. First the amount of points plus the beauty and purification pill and then the educational skill really catch his eyes. 

"Hey freak what are you doing sitting in the backyard?" shouted a squarky unfamiliar voice breaking Xiu Ying from out of his thoughts.
He turned around to see this pretty girl but average to him because he have seen better and his standard were pretty high.

"Who's that?" said Xiu Ying in his mind to  Mister BF

"Sir Xiu Ying that your sister Wan Fang." replied the system.

"Can I kill her." immediately replied Xiu Ying because this green tea bitch interrupted his thoughts. 
"yes you can sir but please be reminded that you are not a part of the mafia so you can get in trouble for killing somebody." replied the system even more scared of Xiu Ying than before.
Xiu Ying thought to his self  that he have gotten away with murder couple times already but he will keep that to his self.

"Do you have a cookie preferably chocolate chip?" was the only thing Xiu Ying said to Wang Fang not replying to her rude statement before.
"What! no I ask you a question you freak." said Wang Fang glared at her silver head brother while throwing a stone at his head to damage his face because usually her brother would be very afraid of her and he even dare to ask a stupid question about dumb cookies. If Xiu Ying heard that she called the cookie dumb let's just say she would not have a gut anyone well inside her anymore. 

Xiu Ying caught the stone right before it reached his head so fast that you hardly even saw when he had moved his hands. 

"So you don't have any cookie then you are useless and of no use to me then." said Xiu Ying throwing back the stone at Wang Fang head that pierced and went though her skull. She did not even have time to react because her body just fell to the ground lifeless.

"G-g-g-g-got revenge on your sister completed. Points now at 25,450." The system replied very shook and very afraid that he even tremble .

Anyways I will try to write a chapter everyday but the most days that will pass and don't write anything is three.

Xiu Ying is seem to be a average beauty that only he does not seem to know how beautiful he is with is jade like skin, pink lips that turns red from his nervous habits of biting and constant licking of his lip. His abnormal white blonde hair that does not match his heritage
and his sliver eyes

A seductive devil he is with his mischievous and smart attitude. Everything would have been fine if it was not for his very sudden death which had lead him to be transmigrated to different worlds. 

Fortunately for Xiu Ying who's role in every world is to change his fate of dying a miserable death caused by the male lead/main protagonist named Li Wei. He fall in love with Li Wei and unfortunately for the dangerous and deadly handsome male lead he had unintentionally met some that more dangerous than him.

The asphalt-black roads of Yudonia's busiest central hub radiated the blistering heat from the sun right back up, distorting the visions of any who roamed near them. It wasn't always like this. Yudonia was one of the few countries that experienced fluctuating temperatures throughout their four-season calendar year. In the summer, the heat could reach as high as forty degrees Celsius, hot enough to get a heat stroke. Though, in the winter, chilling Jack Frost winds would cool the country down to below the melting point, forcing all of its inhabitants to wear at least three sets of clothing.


Aria hated the burning sun. Usually, she would ignore the two extreme seasons and only come out to play in the spring or autumn, when the environment was much more bearable. Otherwise, she would stay holed in her apartment, keeping comfy using the high-end thermostat she purchased. Never would she have anticipated that an S-Class Dungeon would pop up right in the middle of the hottest month of the year.


Nonetheless, Aria was determined to stay in ideal temperatures and keep her interaction with the intense heat to a minimal. Cranking the air-conditioning in her self-driving car to the maximum, Aria moved her face right in front of the vents, chilling her reddened face down even further.


"Careful. You might catch a cold." Yvette lazily said, her eyes never leaving the touch-screen tablet in her hands.


"Like I would. I may be low in strength, but my constitution is at the level of a C-Class Berserker. I'm basically immune to all ailments!"


"Says the girl who got sick after spending twelve days experimenting in a lab." The blonde elf rolled her eyes. She remembered the annoying time when Aria begged her to use a wet towel to clean her back. Yvette lost three days of pay because she had to tend to the babied-up Aria.


"I told you before! I was working with some serious isotopes! That magical reaction I concocted fried my immune system! If not for that, why would I have fallen sick?!"


"Yeah, yeah..." Yvette chuckled. Looks like Aria was the same as usual, even though it was in the wee hours of the morning. Turning back all of her attention onto the screen, Yvette's face turned a little sombre, tickling Aria's suspicions. She saw paragraph after paragraph in the reflection of Yvette's eyes being scrolled through rapidly.


"Something the matter?"


"That S-Class Dungeon..." The blonde elf scrolled to the appropriate page before handing it over to Aria. "No casualties have been reported, and it has been quiet ever since it first appeared three days ago."


"Isn't that a good thing?" Aria wondered out loud.


"If it were a lower-tiered dungeon, perhaps. However, this is an S-Class Dungeon we're talking about." Moving in closer, Yvette swiped to the next tab. She had opened up past articles when Gondor and Elfheim first experienced their own S-Class Dungeons. "Almost always, S-Class Dungeons would force out hundreds, if not thousands of B-Class or C-Class monsters. They seem to have a surplus of them inside after all." The elf paused and scrolled down the articles. "Most of the deaths would come from normal civilians that happened to live in the area before help could arrive. Yet, even after three days, there have been no reported casualties. Don't you think that's weird?"


"Maybe Yudonia is just competent… not." Aria quickly refuted her own statement. She knew her own country better than Yvette did.


"Exactly… It's not that I would disparage Yudonia's strength, but Gondor and Elfheim are far more formidable when it comes to overall military strength. Also, there are international reporters and notable researchers flying in to watch the Dungeon Raid unfold. Yudonia wouldn't lie, no they couldn't lie about the numbers. Not when the whole world is watching them."


"Hmmm, so what do you think?"


"That's the issue." Yvette locked her tablet and laid it on her lap. Her right elbow rested on the window pane while her hands held down her heavy head. "I don't know what to think. There must be an unknown variable that we're not informed about. Either way, we have to be very careful when we're inside."


"Like I need you to tell me that," the maiden chuckled. Aria was the queen of evading trouble. How else could one live three-hundred days a year indoors? Glancing out from her left-side window, Aria took a deep breath in and admired the city landscape that passed her by.


Dozens of high-rise buildings, each reaching at least fifty floors and donned with a variety of architectural magnificence, graced the city skyline. There was a skyscraper that was shaped like a needle, reaching out high into the skies. Next to it was the infamous Schooner Complex, a building designed in the shape of a sailboat. Legend has it that a billionaire from Gondor had purchased the entire top floor for his own pleasure, but Aria didn't bother to confirm that fact. Skipping down to the ground, Aria saw a glass pyramid decorated with coloured dyes and vibrant lights. They weren't lit in the morning, of course, but at night, the Limoges Pyramid was a sight to behold. Aria had brought Yvette here to play once. The look on the elven girl's face was priceless, Aria believed.


Yudonia was rebuilding itself up to become a first-rate country, so all of these brilliant engineering marvels were the norm these days. Though, in this world, it wasn't wealth or prosperity that determined a country's status. It was their overall military might. And that was established by the supremacy of their armies and the number of S-Rankers they possessed.


The world consists of hundreds of races, each one with their own unique traits. However, they can be classified into two factions. Those with the blood of angels, and those with the blood of demons. According to old folklore, when the world was created, angels and demons were first created to bring balance to the virgin earth. They fought for aeons, passing down their blood from generation to generation. Eventually, many races were birthed from their pedigree.


Among the descendants of angels, humans were in the majority, but they were extremely divided, splitting into numerous factions and eventually forming their own countries all around the world. The elves were much more straightforward. Their connection with nature enabled them to utilise magic in ways that humans could only dream of. Though, they were much more conservative by any metric. Majority of them stayed in Elfheim or their subsidiary state Dalheim. Then there were the dwarves. Known for their sharp intellect and revolutionary technological advancements, nearly every country employed dwarves to help develop new infrastructure and plan better nations.


Beastmen were also a unique race in the world. They were one of the few races that bore both the blood of angels and demons. They held superior innate physical attributes that made their teenagers as powerful as any of the best athletes that humans could throw at them. They lived happily in Bestia though traces of their blood could be seen all around the world as well.


As for those with the blood of the demons, they were a little more special. Due to how powerful some of their genes were, some races such as the Dragon race would be B-Class at birth. Others, such as Vampires, formed their own country like the rest of the angelic descendants. They were a mixed bag, but that didn't mean that they were inferior. Take the Giants for instance. They were considered to be a race that was equal, if not surpass that of the humans, as they had far better infrastructure and they possessed countless S-Class individuals.


It would be a lie to say that all the races got along fine and lived in harmony. Wars had been waged thousands of times throughout the world's history. Civilisations had risen and fallen. Races had been thoroughly wiped clean, either by natural means or by conflicts. The modern era was no different. Though there weren't many open wars as before, it didn't change the fact that all the races were competing to be the best. Humans used elves, elves used dwarfs, dwarfs used beastmen, beastmen used vampires, vampires used giants and giants used humans. It was a vicious cycle that went on and on. Though, there was one thing that they all uniformly hated and yearned for at the same time…


And that was Dungeons.


The self-driving car that Aria and Yvette were on slowly decelerated as it took one final turn into a narrow drive-through. Looking out of their windows, the two ladies were greeted by a tremendous skyscraper. It was at least a hundred stories high and probably had a capacity of a few thousand. The doors on each side of the vehicle opened up like an eagle spreading its wings, giving sufficient space for the pair to step out onto the pavement, where an usher was there to welcome them.


"Miss Aria Saciustrum, Miss Yvette Galadhel. Please, the Association President has been expecting your arrival." The young man gave out the most customer-friendly smile that Aria had ever seen as he led the way.


There was no need for Aria to look around. She had been to the Ranker's Association multiple times in the past. Yvette, on the other hand, was like a tourist on vacation. Her eyes sparkled when they entered into the reception and a crystal chandelier, decorated with dozens of luminous glass teardrops, beamed out a heavenly aura. Elaborately crafted pillars held the concrete ceiling, which was decorated by a godly mural depicting the ancient war between Angels and Demons. It wasn't just the top of the reception hall that marvelled the elven girl. On the ground, two ponds, one with black marble bordering its boundaries and the other with white marble, formed the shape of a Yin-Yang symbol. To get to the receptionist, the pair of S-Rankers had to cross the broad path that separated the two.


It was a surreal experience for Yvette, who barely came to the Yudonia's Ranker's Association. Aria watched in amusement with a gentle expression.


"Isn't Elfheim's Ranker's Association just as spectacular? Why are you so amazed by this paltry infrastructure?"


"Our cultures are just way too different." Yvette shook her head. "Elves hate such decadence. We would much rather stay as close to nature as we possibly can. Our palaces are made of wood and strengthened by mud. Though the Ranker's Association in Elfheim is magnificent as well, it's mostly built like a warm hut where rankers could gather without disruption."


"Oh ho, that actually sounds not bad." The Archmagus cackled up. She was a magic researcher at heart. Peace and quiet were what Aria valued the most, not the hustle and bustle of the city life. "Perhaps I should pay a visit to Elfheim in the future."


"If you could, you should!" The blonde elf winked. "I'll show you around, maybe introduce you to one or two hot elven men."


"Yeah, right." Aria wasn't particularly fond of getting into relationships at the moment.


It wasn't like Aria didn't have any interest in men. She had even dated a few men in the past. S-Rankers are valuable marriage partners, after all. However, ever since she rose up the ladder, the types of guys that had been approaching her turned from horny teenagers to desperate lads that wanted to seal the deal with an S-Ranker. Not to mention, the people who typically surrounded her were weirdos. Add that all together, and it wasn't strange for Aria to take a break from romance to focus on her career.


Ascending up the floors with the help of the Association's rapid elevator, the pair soon reached a vastly open level. Even though it was indoors, the floor possessed lush greenery. From tall coniferous trees to gorgeous beds of flowers. It was a sanctuary for those who wanted to escape the hellish grind of urban life.


Being the elf that she was, Yvette's pointed ears started to flap, like a hysterical puppy when she was presented with nature. It has been ages since she was presented with such a high concentration of greenery. She staggered a little and needed Aria's help to hold her back up. Then, the elf said:


"Hey… Can I live here?"


"As if! Don't even joke about this!" Aria was worried that some annoying ears would catch wind of Yvette's words and take her perfect roommate away from her. "This is just a simulated forest! Employees in the building come here to rest and relax. It's a recreational zone!" Snapping Yvette out of her stupor was Aria's number one priority.


"Right..." The blond elf sighed and stared at the ground. 'She's disappointed?!' Aria thought, but she ultimately kept quiet. Why? Because of the elderly man that was headed in their direction.


"Association President!" The usher clicked his boots and saluted the old man. He had his chest puffed up, and his excited smile hidden.


The old man looked no more than seventy. He had a fringe of grey-white hair around his balding, mottled scalp. All wrinkled up and dry, the man barely had any healthy muscles left in his frail body, and from the outside, it looked like anyone could topple him down with a little force. However, that was far from the truth. That elderly being, who had a slight hunch and a worn-down face, was much more powerful than Aria or Yvette. Heck, he might even give other S-Class fighters a run for their money if they were to enter a duel.


"Mmmm. Thank you for bringing them. You are excused."


"Yes, sir!"


It was a short exchange, but the usher was happy beyond words. Many looked up to the Association President, and that young boy was no different. To be able to stand at the peak, dominating all kinds of S-Rankers… The Association President was the real deal, and it showed by how many people idolised him. Though Aria wasn't amused.


"You're late." The elderly man coldly said, his eyes never leaving Aria's face. There were two of them, but the Association President could clearly figure out who was the cause of the tardiness.


"Sorry about that." There was no need to give any excuses. Anything Aria said would be sharply rebuked by the man. No lie could escape this man. It was so bizarre that sometimes the Archmagus thought that the Association President had an omniscient ability.


The old man sized up the two ladies with a frown, his brows knitted together while his fingers stroked his hairless chin. "You're wearing that into an S-Class Dungeon?"


"What's wrong with this blouse and pants?" Aria stretched the fabric of her clothes, showing that it was completely pliable. "It's good for movement and absorbs sweat easily. It's perfect for a dungeon dive!"


"Not this one," replied the man while shaking his head. 


"What do you mean?"


"Our mosimeters picked up a reading of 64.8 montgen at the entrance. Do you think that your jogging clothes would do the trick?" The elderly man scoffed.


"64.8?!" Both Aria and Yvette gasped.


A mosimeter picks up mana density levels and contrasts it to the atmospheric mana concentration level. For instance, if one turned on a mosimeter in the middle of the city, the reading would stagnate around 1.0 montgen. An average A-Rank Dungeon would yield results upwards 10.0montgen, making it one of the most mana dense areas in the world. Yet, the S-Class Dungeon that Yudonia was about to face had brought in readings of 64.8 montgen, a mana density sixty times that of atmospheric mana concentration.


"Not to worry, we have made protective gear for all of our Rankers. They can withstand up to 20,000 montgen, so you should all be safe. Go to the changing rooms. You'll find your pair there. Oh, and you have five minutes. The briefing is about to begin." The Association President just left the two alone after informing them and started to tend to other affairs. The old man was a busy person. He couldn't babysit the pair forever.


"A reading of 64.8 montgen… That's crazy." Yvette muttered out, her mind still trying to comprehend that overwhelming number. "If the entrance has that much, how bad would it be if we move deeper into it?"


"I don't know..." Aria bit her long fingernails. Gondor's S-Class Dungeon was mana-rich, but not to this extent.


'Looks like this dungeon dive would be one for the history books...'

In a modern world where magic and status boards exist, twenty-three-year-old S-Class Archmagus Aria Saciustrum found herself in the morbid situation of joining her country’s own Dungeon Dive expedition. A researcher at heart, Aria didn’t like the idea of slogging away in the dirty depths of the petrifying dungeons that spawned all over the world.

However, her scientific mind trumped her own feelings, and she forced herself to join her country’s first S-Class Dungeon Dive. The allure of finding a treasure or a discovery that could shake the foundations of human society was too enticing to just walk away.

So… Aria dived deep into the Dungeon, alongside her friend the S-Class Healer Yvette, and yes, her efforts had paid off. The S-Class party did manage to find a groundbreaking discovery. One that would shake the foundations of the world and would haunt the nightmares of everyone living on Planet Earth.

Just… It wasn’t what Aria had hoped for...

Chapter nineteen:

After walking out of the study Feng Qi's face was dark enough to drip ink. The entire hallway felt like it traveled back to the ice age as he walked toward his servant. 

"Where did Princess Meng go?" He asked creating an illusion of the calm before the storm. Shadow one didn't dare to speak and only pointed in the direction Meng went. A smile lacking any humor grew on Feng Qi's face.

"Good... very good... she dares to run off after creating this kind of mess. You were right Shadow one it's about time I payed her back for her kindness."

Traveling toward the royal library Meng felt a shiver go down her back. Feeling paranoid she carefully looked both ways before sighing in relief. That person should be just leaving the study by now....

Mend felt a bit guilty toward Feng Qi for chaining him to her, but she knew it was the best option. In the book, one of Feng Qi's most damaging traits is the fact that he never got close to anyone. He always put some kind of distance, which soon became a habit of his. 

Without being able to connect to people he had a severe shortage of close followers. In fact they could be counted on one hand: Shadow one, Shadow two, and all the way up to five.

Considering the fact that they all acted as shadows, it would be safe to say that in the book, Feng Qi had no supporters. One man against the world might sound grand, but in the end, it's very difficult. The higher sect's went after him and all of his shadows when he later on breaks the ancient law of being a cultivator who exceeds the earth rank without being apart of a sect. He was powerful, however without lots of money or any kind of connections he was doomed to fall short of the resourceful sects. 

She had to be shameless in order to throw him off that path and on to a new one. Based off of the book, her being his fiancé shouldn't hurt his future much as in the novel he didn't have a fated love one. 

To be clear Meng didn't feel love for Feng Qi and if he did meet a girl she approved of she wouldn't mind stepping aside. All she felt for him was admiration and protectiveness. He was her only light in her past life and she would make sure that light never goes out in this one.

When Meng reached the royal library she slid inside before closing the door tightly behind her. Standing in the dark, old library gave her a sense of comfort and protection making her forget about the fear of Feng Qi finding her. 

Looking around, her eyes lit up like fireworks seeing all of the books lining the shelves. Her entire body shook with excitement as she picked up random books and flipped through them inhaling the familiar scent. 

The library seemed to never end, going so far that those who didn't cultivate couldn't see the ending. However, Meng estimated that it around 5 acres. 

A slight grin grew on her face. "Looks like a really lucked out!" She exclaimed to herself in wonder.

"Can I help you with anything?"  A old librarian walked out from behind a shelf. Seeing the beautiful child in red he couldn't help from being surprised. 

Commoners barely come to library because it's closed off from them and royals barely come because they would rather focus on cultivation than read books. 

Some of the books were about cultivation too, but because they were very hard to read many people would rather learn it from a master. Also, cultivation itself was more of something learned through experience not books. 

He quickly assumed the child must be here to fool around and felt annoyed. however, from the looks of her, she seemed to be someone of high standing so he shouldn't be rude.

Seeing the wrinkle in the old man's head, Meng could tell that he was annoyed with her, however why should she care? Books were her home she didn't need any assistance. Even though these books weren't on a computer... and seem super old... Meng toughened her stance and focused on the books ahead of her. 

"No thank you." Meng said humbly nodding her head at the librarian before walking into the sea of book. 

The librarian just shook his head before going back to his office.

Once she heard the librarians foot steps getting farther away, she started to look through books for one that could help her with cultivation. As she currently wasn't the previous Ru Gu Meng she had no idea about how to cultivate. The novel touched on the subject, but it wasn't nearly enough for her to even start to do it. As she was from an entirely different world, she needed to know the foundations for cultivation.

The advantage that she recently found out that got from transmigration is that, now when she closed her eyes and thought about the book she no longer just remembered texts, she could see images as if she were a ghost watching in the place of the narrator.

Meng felt that once she learned the basics of cultivation she should be able to copy the 'God Flying Phoenix'  method of the MC to be able to get up to the bottleneck of the martial level. She was transmigrated to this world two years before Feng Qi is exiled from the sun kingdom, which when it came to the decades it took to cultivate, was barely time at all. She needed to prepare as soon as possible.

Meng's finger glided across the books on the bottom shelf. From the names she could tell she found the right section of the library, however finding out the best one from the ocean of books was impossible. 

"Sigh. I'll start with this one then." Grabbing a book that seemed to be what she was looking for she sat down on one of the couches and started to read.

Meng's eyebrows crinkled together as she glared at the colorful language the text used. Maybe if the authors for cultivation books were more straight forward reading would actually be a popular task...

'And starting out with a total of 9 skills that came with me through my past experiences will be a total lifesaver. Thankfully, these skills are both passive & active and it specifically said that truly passive skills are difficult to level. I wonder what the difference is between a truly passive skill and ones that are both? Maybe it starts out being active/passive, but as I get better at it then It'll become passive/active. I also have to take in the fact that I've had my entire 24 years of living on my Earth to get these numbers. Who knows how long it'll take for me to raise them up and I'm going to need a plethora of skills with high levels in order to survive any encounters I know I'll be getting out there. Plus, the only reliable combat skills I could use at this moment are Expert Aikido Practitioner and Proficient Arnis Practitioner. And the last one is a big if, since I have to find or make actual eskrima sticks to use them.'

'It looks like I'll have to fallback on my aikido for now. I don't fancy meeting giants, or whatever big creatures are out there and survive them with just aikido. I'll need to get dodging to somehow appear as a useable skill, but that means I probably need to get attacked first in order to try and get it. Anything bigger than a humanoid monster, creature, or whatever and I'll be running the hell away. Or should I say performing a tactical retreat… Yeah, I'll call it tactical retreat. It sounds way better.'

Sherry was the same way. No matter how monstrous her strength was, if she were to be caught off-guard, she would perish the same way.
...There was only one thing that I could do.
I had to become stronger.
If we three ever became a party of adventurers, I couldn't just let them to most of the work. They would be times that they needed my help, and if I couldn't deliver then, their lives would be at stake.
If any of them died under my watch… well, I would never be able to forgive myself. Heh, knowing my weak and pathetic self, I would most likely end up killing myself once again as I drowned in my own sense of regret and guilt.

Marina's expression suddenly turned somber, and she looked away from me as she continued her tale.
"Their leader, Merinda—she used to be my tormentor, you know," she said with a wry smile. "She would do all sorts of unpleasant things to me, from humiliating me in public by lifting up my skirt with a wind spell or making my dress wet by a water spell or even stripping me of my clothes altogether. And occasionally, if she's in a particularly bad mood, she would even hurt me, to the point of making me bleed. Nothing that I couldn't heal on my own, fortunately enough."
I froze.
The thought that I had stored in the back of my mind for so long suddenly resurfaced, hitting me straight at my chest.

She's far stronger than me though. She wouldn't cry like I did, or lower her head and beg for forgiveness to the bullies, no matter what happened. And she certainly wouldn't soil herself either.
When she finished, there was only a single question in my mind.
"Why didn't you tell me?! O-Or tell Father a-and Mother?!" I shouted. Without realizing it, my eyes had turned watery, and I started to cry.
"...Because there's nothing you or them can do to help. She's part of the ruling class there. If I were treated terribly by the Princess of Marchen herself for example, would you still be running to her and 'put her in her place', as I imagine you would?"
"Yes, I would! No one treats Big Sis like that and gets away with it!" 
I didn't even think. I answered just as soon as she finished her hypothetical question. I was done letting me or anyone I cared about be stepped on by anyone, no matter how powerful they were.
"Hmm? Even if the king would execute you afterwards?"
"I won't get executed! I will save you and leave this country forever afterwards!"
"But if you do that, then Father and Mother and even Sherry might be the ones who get executed, you know?"
"Then we'll all leave! I-I'll work if we don't have the money!"
"That's quite selfish, isn't it? Just because of me, our whole family will have to—"

At this point, I was panting. I was completely out of breath. I had been yelling all this time after all.
Marina wore a shocked expression on her face. Of course she would. This was the very first time I had ever gotten this angry—angry at that bully, for tormenting my sister, angry at Marina, for seemingly just accepting it and hiding it from me, and most of all, angry at myself, for not being able to do anything to help her.
But then, that expression soon softened, and I noticed a few tears trailing down her eyes.
Without a word, she gave me a hug.

I could hear her sniffling. Now that I thought about it, this was the very first time I had ever seen her cry.
"I promise… I'll never keep anything from you ever again… so please, forgive this big sister of yours…"
