This is the story of Alpha Carson and his mate Katie. It is backstory for Alpha Aaron's parents as requested by one of my readers. (Alpha Aaron is seen in the books Alpha Lilly, Orphan Wolf, Raised by Wolves, Not The Alpha, and Brayden.) 

If you haven't read the other books I'll give you a heads up this story centers around an extremely abusive relationship. (Not a happy ending) Read at your own risk.

Story excerpt 

"Hurry up, Katie! Time to shift." Zoey pushes me snapping me out of my daze.

I quickly strip and shift shaking out my alburn fur.

A dominant howl rings over us and we all join in the chorus. Alpha Carson takes off running followed closely by Beta James. The rest of the pack quickly joins them running past each other jumping around. Alot of adults acting like pups. I love it!

My wolf is getting ancy. She wants me to take off full speed. She is howling for control. I concede to her desire somewhat and we take off dodging under the larger wolves. I am exceptionally small allowing me to slip between the massive warriors. Before I know it I am nearly in the front. Everyone knows never to pass out the Alpha... but apparently my wolf forgot this rule as she forces us ahead. Soon we are in the lead and pulling away from the pack. 

In an instant I feel hot breath on my back. Before I can register what is happening I am pinned under a large male wolf... the Alpha.

With the few named, "Princes ", remains a glimmer of hope for the rest of humanity as the Male population had nearly gone extinct. 

Now, with a new world order, all historical decisions that will be made could very well save or destroy of what remains for the human race...

Hi Everyone! Author here! Regarding the poll, It was the tie between New vs Original, with 4 saying yes for the new appearance, and 4 saying no and to keep the old one. I included the comment in the chapter comments by king_Gurra10. I wasn't sure about anyone else's comments, so I'm sorry if your vote didn't get counted. Having said that, we had a tie. So I had a friend choose between the two, and she chose the Neko. I didn't count my vote because I felt it was unfair. Again, sorry if your comment wasn't counted or if your choice wasn't picked. Nero will now have a Neko appearance, kinda cool don't you think? Neko Nero. I also realized that I'm a dumb, if Nero has Immortality, then obviously she would have infinite Health Points. Having infinite health also takes away the importance of Defense and Endurance. So I'll take them out. Anyway, onto the chappy.

Thinking of the last sentence, Ranga's tail is wagging happily and Nero is patting his head. Nero then heads to Rimuru's tent and leaves a message via Great Sage.

'Wont be back for a while, stay safe.'

With her sword made of ice, Nero slashes down on the giant snakes neck, severing its head from its body.

"Mm." Nodding her head, Nero checks her status.

"Great Sage, buy me a cheeseburger and a medium coke." Saying this, Nero sits below a nearby tree.

"Purchased one cheeseburger and one medium sized coke, 50 SP has been deducted."

As her food appears, Nero takes a sip of her coke and asks Great Sage where she is. 

"You are currently between Brumund and Ingrasia."

"I see. Great Sage, would you mind if I renamed you?"

"I would not mind."

"Ok, I will name you Alfred, after Batman's family butler."

"Thank you, Young Miss"

After being renamed, Great Sage's voice became that of Alfred's, and adopted his personality.

Getting an idea, Nero flies up into the air.

"Alfred, make an account on all social media platforms."

Alfred does so, and Nero starts recording live.

The wind causes her hair to brush against her face as a rare smile crosses her lips.

"Hello everyone, I am Nero, a world traveler. I am on an adventure, in which I will go through many different worlds. Since my previous life was pretty bland, I'll try to make yours different."

"Before any of you try it, don't kill yourself. You will not be isekai'd, you will be sent to hell. This is an anime world. Since it is my first world, if you can find out which world it is, I'll give your world some things to choose from. Don't worry, I'll give you all many chances to get these items, I may even personally come to you world."

"The rewards are as follows:
1. End world hunger.
2. Unpollute the world by 50%.
3. Add protection wards around all areas with endangered species, this will protect against poaching and will help endangered species reproduce.

For now this is what I can provide, and to world leaders and any who may try to stop me from providing these things, I have God on my side, who's on yours?"

Finishing up what she has to say, Nero ends the stream and makes a few skills that will provide the things listed in the stream.

[Worldly Food Production: (Passive)
Creates the food that a human will need to live, and provides it to any world that is tagged by the user.]

[Reduce Pollution: (Active)
Allows the user to unpollute any world this skill is used on by whatever amount the user wants.]

[Endangered Species Protection Ward: (Passive)
Adds a massive Ward around all areas with endangered species tagged by the host. This will provide them with everything they need, like food, water, even temperature. This Ward will not allow humans other than the host, but will allow anyone to view inside without annoying the animals]

Remembering a skill belonging to one of the inhabitants of this world, Nero makes another skill based off that skill.

[Infinite energy (Passive Skill)
Pulls upon the Universe of Origin to provide the user with an infinite amount of any energy. Example: Stamina, Mana, Magicule, Chakra, Spiritual Energy, etc.]

"I may be a little op..."

"Young Miss, 'little' may not even be close to what would describe your level of Overpowered"

Nodding, Nero says, "Alfred, play 'The Hanging Tree." 

As the song starts playing, Nero hums along to the song. Feeling a bit more lazy than usual, Nero makes a skill, [Customize].

[Customize:
Changes or Alters anything to the users will]

Nero then uses her new skill to customize Alfred's [Battle Mode].

As she does so, Alfred's voice rings out, "[Battle Mode] has been changed to [Autopilot Mode]"

[Autopilot Mode (Active Skill)
Allows the user to sit back within their mind as their body acts upon a goal set by the user.]

Nero nods and activates [Autopilot Mode]. Now that [Autopilot Mode] is activated, Nero(Autopilot) heads towards Ingrasia.

While Nero(Autopilot) is heading towards her destination, Nero finds herself within her mind, there she sees Alfred, who looks like the familiar old butler we all know. Nodding to him, a chair manifests itself in front of Nero, who sits down and watches the aftermath of her stream.

*Time Skip No Jutsu*

Nero decides to give her followers a clue, and starts a stream showing her flight towards Star Wolf Island.

The viewers were mesmerized by the beautiful lands that Nero was flying above.

*Another Time Skip No Jutsu*

As Nero reaches a certain distance from Star Wolf Island, time seems to stop, and a huge spectral Star Wolf appears in front of Nero.

"I am Hiroyuki, the Star Wolf Progenitor. Who are you and why have you come? I sense no malice from you so what is your reason to visit my island?" Hiroyuki spoke in a loud and domineering voice.

"I am Nero, and I am here searching for a companion who would come along with me on my adventure."

"I see. I do not think you would harm my subjects, but if you desire a companion, you will have to prove yourself worth of them. Now I must go, this world can't handle my power much longer."

After he finishes his sentence, Hiroyuki disappears and the world regains color.

Preparing herself for what's to come, Nero speaks to the viewers.

"I have decided that I will end the stream here, I have to go get a companion, goodbye everyone." 
Nero waves as she cuts the stream off.

Hello Everyone! Author Here! Sorry for the wait, this weekend was a bit weird. For some reason they're moving finals to Monday and Tuesday. "Young man, which Clan do you belong to? He asked before I got out the door of the store. I stared at him with my emotionless green eyes and shortly said,

"The Wolf Clan"

I will always be proud of the Clan that I belong to. Although my mother belong to the Snake Clan, I was raised and grown up in the Wolf Clan alongside my father and the people that cares for me. I don't hate the Clan of my mother but their forbidden love prohibit me to be at least know them. I always asked my father why can't I be with my mother at the Snake Clan and he always answered me that it will only endangered my life if the Snake Clan will know my existence. They will hunt me down because I was the offspring of the forbidden love of a wolf man and Snake woman. This was against the law of the Snake Clan stating that, "A Snake Clan member  must only marry to a member of the same clan. Marrying an outsider is prohibited."

This is the reason why the love of my father and mother considered as forbidden. The reason why they kept for themselves the relationship they had. And the exact reason why my existence is to be kept in also is for my own safety and protection.

I once asked my father who made such law and then he answered, the law was made by the Previous King from years ago. Because of the reason that his lover chose someone from the other Clan than him and runaway. The Clan which the guy belong to is no other than the Wolf Clan. The hatred of the King was passed down from generation to his people. So the hatred harbors by the Snake Clan to the Wolf Clan is so big that until now, Wolf Clan is still considered as enemy by the Snake Clan.

I wonder if that law didn't exist, will I be able to have a whole and happy family? I wonder what feeling would that be. The be able to have both your parents by your side as you grown up. I can only wish I guess... But even if it's late, I would love to wait for that day to come. And I will do anything to make that happen.

One day... I'll make my dreams come true and will definitely tried my best to fulfill it. Not just for my happiness but also for the happiness of my parents. Their happiness was way more important than mine.



My thoughts continuous to run in my head until someone grabbed me and bump into his chest. He asked, "Hey, Alex what are you thinking? You almost bump into someone in the way." Then it hits me, I was thinking something while walking and not paying attention in the way. I was in a dazed at first until I noticed that I was still leaning on someone. Then I looked up only to find out that someone happened to be Samuel Xi. We locked eyes and stared at each other eyes. His eyes seems to be asking me or it was just my own imagination. Thank to him for grabbing my arm prevent me from bumping into someone in the way. After finding out, I quickly composed myself and done a few step back to the side.

"Thank you" I muttered then shift my gaze Gab and  answered back to his question earlier, " I was just preoccupied by my thoughts." He kept staring at me as if measuring if I'm okay. I added to reassured him, " No need to worry. " He only nod at my assurance.

"Who's that Old man in the store? And why would he asked abt if the Clan I belong to? Maybe he just mistaken me fir someone he knew. Oh well, let's get moving and forget about it. And Gab suddenly screamed... 

"Holy! We forgot about the curfew! We are supposes to be inside the school before the guards closed the gate.

How can we forget such an important thing..
We are Curfew breakers!

We're doomed!!.

My gaze flickered around the uninviting wood as I struggled desperately to hold on to my sanity. 

I was certain I didn't imagine what I had seen back there. The painful bruise that was now forming on the back of my hand as I had grazed it on the rough wall was a reminder I didn't imagine it. 

I panted as I rested my body on one of the tree trunks present. I hadn't even thought of running back to the house which was just a few seconds away for I was so desperate to flee and had forgotten. 

My head pounded, as well as my heart as I thought of the baby I had left alone in the basement. 

Aiden was sure going to kill me for putting his daughter in danger, and perhaps I might lose the job again because of my inability to care for her. 

If only I had minded my business and left the whining sound alone. 

As this saying goes, ‘curiosity killed the cat’ I was curious and who knows what would happen to me? Perhaps, I would end up like the cat. 

I lurched and my heart raced as I heard a twig snapped near me. 

“No please, no..." I muttered as I heard a growling sound. 

The thought of what would become of me in the next few moments ran through my mind. I wondered if my body would be found the next morning. Or maybe nothing would be left of me, or maybe only my bones. 

The image of my bone appearing like the one I saw before almost made me retched. I took in two deep breathe as I glanced around frantically. 

“If only I had gone to the kitchen to make whatever was available, I wouldn't be in this dilemma." I berated myself silently. 

The growl sounded, yet again, and I could sense it prowling towards me. 

Slowly, I turned and my gaze fixated on the beast. However, this was different from the one I saw earlier. 

This was as dark as night, its white teeth gleamed in the moonlight and the red eyes glared daggers at me. 

My feet got stuck in the ground as If it was glued to it. Running wasn't even an option because it would be a wrong move and the monster would tear me in pieces instantly. 

Still, me stalling would do me more harms than good as it didn't look as if it would back down anytime soon. 

Suddenly, it leapt in the air, my breath hitched and eyes went wide. If only I could shout to make Aiden hear wherever he was and come to my rescue. 

Nonetheless, I tried to scream but all that escaped my mouth was a raspy sound. I didn't hear my voice, neither could I feel my body. 

A grunt sounded, snapping me out of my thought. I gasped out as I noticed another wolf which was the one I saw earlier. 

It stood in front of me and let out a low growl. The other wolf came at it and it did same as they battled together, slashing paws at each other body and yanking off furs with teeth. 

Stunned, I continued watching. The brown wolf that had come to perhaps, defend me was gaining the upper hand. 

The black wolf yelped and it staggered. Blood pooled around the skin, yet, it didn't give up. 

After a few minutes, it surrenders to the cold hand of death as the brown wolf sank its teeth into the neck, yanking its head off. 

My gaze widened as it shifted. My heart banged wildly as I saw who was crouched to the floor. I averted my gaze as he was naked. 

“No..." I muttered, trembling whilst trying to comprehend what had happened. 

“Hey, are you okay?" 

Should I be? I wondered to myself. After seeing what had happened tonight, I was not sure I would be. 

Aiden is a freaking wolf... A freaking enormous werewolf. 

This revelation confirmed everything the locals had been saying. It wasn't a rumour, after all, it was freaking real. 

I flinched as his warm hand came out to touch me. He retracted it back and stared at me. 

“Are you alright?" 

He sounded concerned, and I wondered how he would have felt if I was bitten or dead. 

“I don't know, I want to go home," I lurched as he attempted coming close to me, again. 

Hurt flashed through his eyes, but he said nothing. 

He sighed, then led the way. The walk back to his house was silent and I kept glancing around to see if another creature would appear. 

As soon as we stepped into the living room, I breathed out deeply and gazed at him. 

“I meant, I want to go back to Renee, to my friend," I said. 

“You are not going anywhere." He stated calmly as if afraid he would lose his temper anytime soon. 

“You can't tell me to stay here. I don't know you. I don't know what you are. I don't know if I would be your next prey. Please just let me go in peace, please." I didn't realize I was crying until I tasted the saltiness of the tears. 

“Shut up! I don't want to lose my temper here." He pinched the bridge of his nose, before exhaling slowly. His broad shoulder moved with each breath he took. 

“Why are you detaining me here? Do you want to kill me? Who are you?" 

“So many questions in a sentence." He tutted, chuckling. 

“Just tell me who you are and why are you keeping me here? I want to freaking know!" 

Aiden stared at me with uncertainty before stepping towards me. 

I scurried back, slamming into the door. 

He pushed me to it violently and I winced in pain at the force. His eyes flickered from the blue it was to a golden yellow and a fang appeared in place of his canine. 

I shrieked as he continued to press his elbow into my neck. 

“This is me, sweetness and you are fated to be with me. Don't forget that, you are to be my Luna!" 

“Why did you left the safety of the house to endangered yourself?" “You foolish wench!" 

I landed on the cold tiled floor with a thud as he flung me across the room. 

“Tell me, why did you fucking left!?" 

He pranced towards me and gripped my neck tightly. Tears fell freely from my eyes as I choked on my spittle. 

I felt my throat burning up, my body- from my feet to my fingertip burning. It wasn't because I couldn't breathe, rather it was the opposite. 

My hand shot out and Aiden released his hold on me. He gripped his head with both his hands as he cried out in pain. 

However, it didn't last long as I felt my vision clouded. The last thing I heard was Aiden shouting my name before I slipped into unconsciousness.

Michelle still couldn't believe her eyes, how can a level 10 person slay a level 12 Flame Wolf, effortlessly.

However, what she now sees was no more than a miracle. Taylor plays around the cave with eight Flame Wolf in his tail.

He is dodging and deflecting all the attacks accurately. It seemed like he knows where the attack will come from, he appears to be ten times ahead of the wolves.

"Quit daydreaming and attack them", Taylor rolled from the claw of a Flame Wolf and hid behind another wolf, "I'm gonna kill the next one"

Just like he said, Taylor ducked the attack of a Flame Wolf baring its fang, and using that as momentum, he cut into the stomach of another wolf beside him.

It didn't die in a single cut so he sliced it twice until he pierced its heart.

Watching the gore battle, Michelle felt her head spin.

But she realized if Taylor has this much power, then he might surely direct all the wolf to the other cave. 

She was sure that he will do it now.

Making a resolve Michelle loaded her longbow and aimed at the wolf Taylor is clashing with. She is smart and realized killing a Wolf that has mobility-limited is easy than all the wolves rushing to each corner of the cave.

It also means Taylor would help her if she were to miss the shot.

Taylor clashed the wolf's baring fangs with his war blade, he couldn't push it back and roll over, as another wolf is prepared to attack him the moment he is free, 'these wolves found my strategy and are coordinating with each other.'

'Should I use my ultimate move', Taylor grinned at his own thoughts, 'wouldn't that ruin the fun'

"What the heck", Taylor felt a sudden threat and he moved back on instinct.  

Swish...

"flame ball"

Boom...

Glancing at the wall where the attack that aimed at his head hit Taylor felt a chill, "arrow"

"Michelle!!!"

"I'm sorry. Since it's the first time I'm this skill, I couldn't control the trajectory of the arrow"

'For a quest, I almost lost my life. It would have been better to let her fight with a sword.'

"Aim again, I will hold it for thirty seconds", before Taylor could end his words, the wolf backed down and rushed to Michelle, it also felt endangered by her attack.

The wolf that waited for its time pounced at Taylor, "I too waited for this time"

Taylor rolled to the left of the wolf and cut its front leg, and continued with the next slash near its neck he rolled, and the third slash to its stomach.

Ding...

Congratulations learned the skill - LEECH BLADE.

Three consecutive attacks on the target activate LEECH BLADE.

LEECH BLADE: Drains the vigor of the enemy and reduces the battle power and agility by 5 percentage.

Cooldown: 2 minutes.

Note: skill fails if any of the three consecutive attacks misses the target.

Slash...

Getting a skill activated and the enemy losing its speed Taylor easily chopped both the hind leg of the wolf with his regular Blade Arc skill

BLADE ARC SKILL: the mana infused into the blade weapon can be projected into an arc.

Cooldown: None.

Not having the time to finish its life, Taylor chased the wolf that's running towards Michelle.

Making a dash with all his strength concentrated on his legs, Taylor took a huge leap and kicked the left side face of the wolf that's gonna a dip a bite on Michelle. 

Awooo...

Shaking its head in confusion, it attacked her again, however, this time Taylor stood before her and blocked its attack.

"Shoot the arrow now"

"Mmm"

Standing behind Taylor, she had a perfect aim, the tip of the arrow turned crimson and set ablaze.

"She has, affinity with fire"

Boom...

Growl...

Bang...

Thud...

"I did it"

"Don't breathe so fast. We still have five no six to go", looking up he saw the leg chopped wolf rushing at him, "You head only counts one, so work hard"

Taylor rushed to the wounded Wolf, he cut the hind legs off. But now it stood back, by forming the legs out of demonic mana.

"This is why I always finish my enemy without a chance to escape"

Bang...

Boom...

It took about half an hour before they finished off all the wolves.

Just as he said Taylor didn't touch the two wolves on Michelle's quota. 

She missed an ample amount of attacks at the beginning but she got the essence of the Peirce Strike skill after that close-range kill. She killed the two wolves with her own hands.

"I hate you", walking out from the boulder, Michelle bombarded Taylor with arrows, "You are a demon"

"Is that so", as they were normal attacks Taylor swiftly escaped them.

"You planned everything. You purposely let that wolf escape"

She still couldn't get over the trauma of that wolf almost her head off. 

"Hey, it was an accident. And I was the one who saved you, have some moral"

"Moral! You don't have the right to talk about that. You pulled someone in deep sleep and tossed into the fiery pit of hell"

"It's not that bad"

Michelle who threw tantrum until now started to cry, 
"Ahhhhh! I want to... go... to Pam"

Taylor didn't care about her crocodile tears, "If you don't stop crying now, I will drag you into the next cave"

Wandering the hallways of the Sitri Manor, Leon, now 8, was thinking deeply about what he should say, he wanted to visit his parents and uncle, wanted to visit the grave's. Shirone, now 11, crept quietly after Leon alongside Hana, Elizabeth and Sona, they were curious as to why he seemed troubled but rather than just ask they decided to improve their stealth skills. He walked on lost in thought until he reached his destination, Serafall's bedroom, this early in the morning only she would still be in her room, awake or not was unknown for nobody dared enter if they weren't Leon, Sona or Shirone, The Cute Troupe as she called them, and they never spoke about what happens when they go in out of fear, taking a deep breath Leon opened the door and stepped in.
"Sera... are you awake?"
"Hmm... oh Leon... come give me a hug"
"Sera... can I... ask you something"
"Sure... what is it"
"I uh... was wondering if... can I visit my old home... and my family"
"... I'll ask Ajuka if it's alright OK?"
"OK... thank you"
"Now you know what to do puppy"

Looking to the sky he clenched his fist, if he was going to die at all it would be in his terms, he'd inherited the legacy of Sparta, Athena had agreed to train him once he turned 10 and Leonidas had told him of a Great power sealed within him, he could fight if he transformed but he'd also been told he shouldn't rely on that ability, especially since fighting that way exhausted him quickly, so he took to making himself physically fit whilst learning magic, he learned that he had a rather high affinity for ice and darkness elements in particular and had learned a few spells and attacks for both.

Lu Jingzhe coughed loudly to remove the water out if her system. Slowly opening his eyes he looked at the little girl sitting in front of him.looking at his expectantly.

She tilted her head sideways gazing at him deeply before breaking into a full smile.

"Are you okay brother?" She had asked him.

Her sweet voice was melodic to his ears and he could not help but gaze at her deeply.

'Is this heaven? Is this the angel that is going to take his would away towards heaven?' He thought in his mind.

Before he could utter a word, a large wolf came and stood beside him, creeping him out.

He yelled loudly backing away as much as he could when he looked at the wolf.

"Storm. How many times I had told you to not appear out of anywhere. It scares people out." She berated the wolf as if he was his kid or something.

To Lu Jingzhe's utmost horror, the wolf only made a whining sound before wagging his tail around her. It looked like he was saying sorry to her.

"Hey brother, you don't have to be afraid of him. He is my little storm. He is a kid and doesn't harm others. He just want someone to play with him." She said smiling her angelic smile.

Lu Jingzhe looked at the girl as if she was Insane.

'He was a kid? You got to be kidding me!' He yelled in his mind.

"Can you please ask this animal to go away. I don't fancy kids like these." Lu Jingzhe said coldly. One thing he was famous for in his family was masking his emotions behind his cold facade. 

He had got this from his grandfather and was extremely proud of it.

"Hey!! Look here mister!! Who the hell do you think you are! You can't call my storm an animal just like that. He is more civilized than the money minded lousy capitalist out there. He stays with me and supports me without asking for anything. Take back you words!!" She had said angrily.

To Lu Jingzhe her angry words looked like a kittens claw. When she had yelled, her sharp incisors were clearly visible giving her a perfect image of the cat.

"Well your friend did made me run for miles for nothing." He said coldly.

Even though she was quite afraid if this brother, she was brilliantly covering it.

"He endangered your life. I saved it. We are even now. As for your path. I can lead you there." She said firmly.

Lu Jingzhe was shocked hearing her words,
"You saved me? So it was yo-ou" He stammered. 

He had indeed seen a girl coming near him, but at that time he had thought it's his death time and someone was coming to take away his soul.

His muddled thoughts came to an abrupt stop when he saw her bleeding arm. 
'She is what around 10 years old maybe and she isn't even wincing fro the pain and here I am chickening out because of a domestic wolf.' He berated himself.

"You are hurt." He questioned more like stated the fact.

"Hmm..thanks to you. You kept scratching me when I was pulling you out if the water." She said as she stood to feed the wolf some berries se had gathered before saving him.

Looking at the happy duo he was feeling an immense amount of easiness now.

After she had fed him enough, she motioned for him to stand and walk along with them towards the village.

"So...he is called storm? Why do he hover around you?" He asked looking wearily at storm who was walking on her left side looking here and there for any danger.

"He is one of my friends here. He likes to play with me. He has a big family scattered here in the mountains and in this forest. But he likes to come out and play. He is just an innocent kid. Right storm?" She said as she ruffled his hairs.

The rest of the journey went in silence with storm's momentarily jumping her and there.

As they reached the entrance of the forest storm stood behind before whinning and running back into the forests. 

"I'll come back again tomorrow." That girl yelled back looking towards the forest. 

Soon Lu Jingzhe heard three four howls as if the wolf storm was agreeing with her arrangements.

He looked at the lively girl smiling.

Taking out the pendant from around his neck, he placed it gently in her palms.

"Thankyou for saving my life back there and leading me here. It was an eventful day today and I will never forget this day or you. You taught me any lessons today. Let's meets in the future sometimes." He sad said.

He looked forward and saw that everyone from his family was present at the front of the forest. 

They all had looked immensely scared and when he reached to them, everyone hugged him saying how they were thankful to God for sending their child safe back.

He looked at his grandfather before saying,
"Grandpa I saw a big wolf today and I learned a lot of lessons too. Thankyou for sending me here. This girl saved my life-" He looked back to see no one standing there.

"Which girl? We don't see any girl here." Her mother asked looking everywhere around him.

"Nevermind." He smiled.

"Hey! Big boss! I am sorry for all my words back then. I really shouldn't have said those hurtful words." Qingxi said.

She had been trying from last 5 minutes but this big boss was constantly ignoring her not even giving her any reaction.

"Nevermind." He smiled before crushing his cigarette that he had extinguished without even taking a puff.

Qingxi left to check on her little bear if he was still sleeping or not.

There are no observing officers and the only one that will see our failure, for now, is the officer at the panel that is currently controlling the wave of monsters. Even that is the case I want each and every one of you to give your best." 

Jin smiled at the end of those words after that he turns around and opens the door. A battlefield-like scenario surprised them. 

"The same old destroyed ruins, is this what it really looks out there at the walls?" Qi Meili exclaimed as she cannot believe that there are a lot of ruined buildings and the loss of human habitat is real. 

"For what I have seen outside those big walls that protect us, lies a chaotic world. That why I am here to you help you guys to survive in a hellish environment before we go and be sent out there."

 Jin replied as he keeps walking to reach the middle where he can signal the officer to start the simulation.

"How can you say that it's chaotic huh? Have you been there… outside of the walls?"  Fang Shirong asked Jin who was at the front. "And Jin replied with a simple "Yes, I have been outside of the walls. And for you guys to be sent there I don't think you are able to be alive in such a long time." 


After Jin ended the sentence it was time to start the simulation, and Jin gave shouted as he equipped his XDR-rifle "Fang Shirong go to the 2nd floor of that building, Qia Jiao get in front and take as many enemies as possible. Han Zian if Qiao Jiao losses health by 50% you must heal her at top priority. Qi Meili as long as it is in your range kill the monster at all cost."


 And all of them replied "Yes, Sir" those semi precise orders made the whole team develop a strategy that only Jin be able to grasp. After forming their desired position a siren sounded inside the dome. After the loud siren then followed by an announcement.

Jin aims his XDR-rifle and puts his finger at the trigger [Triggering Skill usage chosen] {Registered Skill] [Firing Skill: Dual Burst]

The first wave 30 red spincers and 20 lone spiked wolves, "Alright they are beginning to move once they crossed that building, Qi Meilli fire a volley of fire directed at those wolves. And after using volley fire use penetrating arrow for added damage to the first volley." Jin stated as his XDR-rifle is slowly compacting enough force to fire a beam of light towards the enemy. Qiao Jiao fights the enemies that are getting nearer to us, hold them as long as you can.

 Fan Shirong uses abilities such as   Ghost dagger and Claw blades for bleeding damage." After saying all of those things the spincers began their attack. And their first attack was countered by Qi Meili Volley Arrows. Some of the arrows made a critical hit strike on the spincers and some of the lone spiked wolves that was charging at the center. 


And Jin clicked the trigger. *Pheww* the beam of light fired from the XDR-rifle barrel its compacted power hits a Lone Spiked Wolf that was about to leap and bite Qiao Jiao but luckily Jin was able to kill the lone spike wolf.  The lone spiked wolf that was about to attack turn to ashes and disintegrated.

 "Be careful and always watch your two rear to avoid being flanked. "Fang Shirong Help Qiao Jiao and use Deceive tactics to lure the enemy, to avoid detection." And So Fan Shirong did what he was told, he whispered while he was running towards the direction where Qiao  Jiao was. 

"Deceive" and after whispering that word his body turned into 3 and they looked the same and Fan Shirong was able to order the two clones. Fan Shirong then let the two clones move into different places in which Fang Shirong has 3 personas on the ground which able to Deceive monsters. All of those clones are able to use abilities but their damage is only half of the main user has.


"RAhh!" Fan Shirong used his Ghost dagger to kill the Red spincer using his two sharp poisonous blades. The blade effect is that is when the blade is stab or able to injure the target the effect of unknown poison will weaken the armor and defense of the targeted master. And its movements will be slowed by 50% in that case. The target monster will be almost slow as a turtle in the eyes of a player. 

Jin clicked the trigger and the compacted power fired and a beam of light hits the ground the is near to 5 lone spiked wolves. And when it impacted on the ground it quickly exploded *BOOM* after the explosion an fire followed which burned the lone spiked wolves. And from the distance, Jin was able to hear the cries of the burning Lone spiked wolves. 

``I cannot beleive that this simulation is so realistic. They also able to put pressure on mental fighting because of those cires of pain." 


 the black smoke covered that part of the battlefield ruins. And when the black smoke vanishes Jin shouted "Hear me! I want all of you to retreat to your old positions and kill the last remaining monsters." After saying that Jin did a tactical reload, and aim his XDR-rifle once again.

"Covering fire!" Jin shouted as Fan Shirong retreated and his clones disappeared as it became a pixelated material and vanish. While Jin was firing his bullets *Prfft* *Prfft* able to kill multiple Lone spiked wolves that were charging forward. Qiao Jiao was able to unleash her skill Defiant Slash and Irons Slash and because of that, Qi Meili was able to recover from releasing too many arrows. 


 their movements were coordinated even though it was their first time that they were on the same battlefield with each other. It was their first coordinated first wave that they have did, and Fan Shirong was amazed at Jin's strategies. And slowly Fan Shirong trusted Jin. 


"Qiao Jiao finish the wolf!" Jin shouted as he reloaded the XDR-rifle. Meanwhile, Qiao Jiao charged forward which at that time she was also exhausted and her breathing is a bit heavy, he was also gasping at that time when Jin shouted at her.


 So she raised her sword and sigh before charging forward. As she was charging he was also able to last hit multiple Red spincer that was poisoned earlier but Qiao Jiao just finished that deed so that there were no movements. And Qiao Jiao was thrusting her sword onto the shells of the spincers their shells cracked as if its armor was so weak. But after that, she looked straight ahead where her enemy lies.


The lone spiked wolf shows its sharp teeth and bloodied mouth because it was already eating its kind. ``Dang I need to end this faster!`` Qiao Jiao dashed forward to close the gap, and it gave a sign to the Long spiked wolf that he is endangered and most Lon spiked wolf chooses to fight than flee.



 So it reflexes increase, and now Qiao Jiao's advantage of surprise is now canceled. She swings her sword to the left which is where the Lone Spiked wolf wound was when it was shot by an arrow from the volley of arrows. 



But at it was about to hit it was blocked by the teeth of the Long spiked wolf. And when Qiao Jiao saw that her blade was blocked by the teeth of the Lone spiked wolf her whole fighting spirit goes drastically low.


 While all her party members were looking at her, same with Jin who was not far from Qiao Jiao. But at this moment this was the test for Qiao Jiao if she was not able to counter this attack it will be a big problem in the future. Fang Shirong at that time was also looking at Jin who was also looking at Qiao Jiao.

``Why isn't he giving an order he is near to Qiao Jiao and I also near to Qiao Jiao. I can help her, I can save her`` Jin was determined to look closely and observe but his guard was also high. She then let go of the sword by one hand, while the other hand is preparing to punch the eye of the Long spiked wolf and when he threw punched at the eye of the Lone spiked wolf, and the wolf lets go of the sword and Jin was able to pull the sword back to her grasp. And the Lone spiked wolf backs off as it wants some distance to avoid certain death. ``this is the opening I am waiting`` 


Qiao Jiao dash forward, he also noticed that there was also bleeding under the Long spiked wolf neck. And Qiao Jiao targeted that for her last attack. The sword was able to pierce through the flesh of the lone spiked wolf and its blood gushed out from the wound of the wolf. And when she pulls the sword out, she turned around and saw that all of her teammates were looking at her.

Year Date March 30, 2030

On a seemingly normal day across all countries on the face of the earth. A sudden eruption of the crust and a sudden appearance of void rifts-like holes appeared. It was the start of ULTIMA CHANGE, soon monsters arise from those rifts. And it was soon followed by bloodshed. In nearly 5 months 1 hundred million have already perished from the monsters. And with that, countries all over the world have formed their Safe Zones. Building walls that might secure them from monsters. And with the appearance of monsters also the appearance of people with strange powers and abilities.

Delphine pulls out her greatsword and points it straightforward to see if any creature would dare come and face her. Once, she fought only for herself and served no leader of any city, but now she confronts the demons to ensure Simon's safety. She stood on the road and did nothing but hold onto her weapon, and she depends on herself more than ever. Then, she notices that a massive group of demons started to quickly charge towards her with their swords pointing at her face. She then took one last look at Simon and made sure that none of them lay their hands on him.

Delphine does not make another step towards the night creatures, as so many of them run towards her. They were all willing to avenge their kind by sinking their swords into the one who killed them all. Three of them ended up going in front of her and were about to cut her down where she stood; but, she uses her greatsword and slices them all in half in a single slash. Delphine was already full of rage and anger before the onslaught even started, and she made them all afraid of her. Her greatsword points at all of them to see if they can take her on with everything they got; she was tempting them to come towards her and make them witness her real strength.

Many more demons began to run to the ebony knight to slice her into pieces, but none of them were lucky enough to do the deed of killing her. Her strength and power were the reasons why she still draws breath and cannot escape her lust for the blood of those who have taken everything from her. She stood there and sliced down so many demons and could not stop herself from making sure they all bleed out. Even if they did not have the courage or the audacity as Delphine to survive the nights, they still needed to be sure if they can give her a scar or two. Then, she started to dance around with her sword and cut down every single monster who was ordered to kill her on sight.

It was pretty simple for Delphine to kill these types of night creatures because she has done it a thousand times over. She saw so much blood and gore splattering everywhere, and many arms, heads, and legs dismembered from their bodies. It was not long until she realizes that there were no more beasts emerging from the shadows. She then turns around to see if Simon was still lying on the ground and is relieved that he has not been devoured. Suddenly, his eyes were opening, and he saw that he has not died from the fall; he was also confused about how he managed to draw breath still.

Then, Delphine runs towards Simon to see how he is doing and wanting to know if he can move around.

"Simon! Simon, are you alright?" Delphine asked.

"Yeah... I think I'm... alright," Simon said.

"Can you walk?" She asked. Delphine talked to him in a way that would seem as if a doctor is talking with a patient.

"I can try. Who is that madman? He's going to pay for this!" He said. Then, Delphine walks over to him and helps him up from the ground and was satisfied seeing him being able to breathe and move around.

She stayed by Simon's side and wrapped his arm around his shoulder to help him with walking.

"Godbrand is not our concern anymore. We can't rely on him, and that giant wolf he brought along with him could be here any second," Delphine said.

"How would you know? You never told me you cared about any carnivores coming for us," Simon said.

"Only if they stand in our way and wish to suffer. And half of those species are already being controlled by the demons," she said.

"Oh, so all of a sudden, they start using magic upon those animals and force them to come after us? That's pretty dumb once you start thinking about it."

Even though he hunted both animals and demons during his lifetime, he had some sympathy for the more durable types of animals getting ready to go extinct. Truthfully, they were not prepared to find themselves in the endangered species list, but there was nothing Delphine and Simon could do about them. Suddenly, the giant wolf came walking towards them from the darkness and looked down upon them. His eyes were red and filled with gloom and agony as he stood before the ebony knight and the young hunter. Then, Delphine strolls towards the black wolf and pulls out her greatsword and holds onto it for a long while.

The wolf's name is Fenrir, and Godbrand is his master; he has had the wolf under his protection for a hundred generations. Fenrir is a powerful creature who has been dominated by the Viking demon himself and carried out the tasks set before him.

"Who are you? Have you come here for something you believe I have?" Delphine asked.

"Take a wild guess, ebony knight," Fenrir said.

"Why don't you say whatever speech you got rehearsed and get this over with," she said. Delphine had enough to receive more questions to be answered, and she did not have the time to listen to some speech from a wolf.

Then, the wolf answered and said to her, "I am Fenrir. The most powerful creature the world and the gods have ever laid eyes on. I have seen past the farthest waters, and I have been to all the lands of the earth. I can show you everything, tell you everything you need to know and allow you to know your fate. Not even Godbrand himself will be able to hear what I am going to tell you. Once I have spoken these words, you shall be on your way."

"Why are you helping me? You tried to devour Simon and me," Delphine said.

"I was being controlled by that Viking. Even though my will is made of hard steel, he still managed to break through and burrow his way into my head," he said.

"So, he can't die. Being stabbed by lethal weapons will not kill him for good?"

"He can be killed. Only by the sword of the daughter of the Demon Wolf can break the seal of all who carry the blood of the demon king. If only you had the sword and the dark magic of the one who lives inside the mountains. That person you call the Wolf Queen... she never told you anything about her, hasn't she? About her true nature? Her will to dominate and her reasons for despising the night creatures?"

"She told me enough. She told me everything I needed to know about her and the world. If she told me anything else, I would still be by her side and listening to whatever she has to say to me. If I require her counsel, I will ask."

"A wise choice, Delphine. But, even that will not save you from all the things waiting for you in the mountains. At that place, there is an ancient lady who knows everything about magic and sorcery. She is also a master of an ancient creature beyond all measure. An entire legion of the damned is under her control. A little guidance I can give you is to be prepared for what she has planned for you and your comrade."

Delphine stands there and understands a little about what Fenrir is saying to her, yet none of it made any sense in her eyes. Her body could accept as much pressure as it wants to, but she has never encountered a sorceress in her travels. She then looks up to him and begins to imagine what can happen to Simon if he is trapped inside that mountain with her. Then, Fenrir turns around to go away and walk further into the night, and Delphine begins to follow him from behind. He then turned back around and noticed the ebony knight is back with just one more question up to her sleeve.

"What about our duel? What of the other creatures who are just like you and would fight me without warning?" Delphine asked.

Then, Fenrir said to her, "I am moved beyond vengeance. Our duel may have to wait until you can conjure even darker souls for my army. Our clash may have to wait a little while longer. The slashing and dicing of all of our bodies will stay in full effect on the day you face me again. Drain your woes and sorrows, for there will be nobody here to protect you. That's why my nails grow longer. My fangs grow sharper. My body increases much stronger every other day."

It was during that time that Fenrir walked away from Delphine and Simon, and they both continued their way as the night began to come to an end.
