200 years ago man created the greatest AI known but this Machine eventually grew a mind of its own and evetually it's own body, it rose up with others like it against the human race this battle went on for about 20 years and nature and most resources were dieing off cause of the continuing battles but the final battle it released a large blast but is wasn't a bomb it was something else entirely, the machines had something hidden down their main base, something that wasn't human or machine something not of this earth, the blast brought back nature it changed it along with the humans and Machines closes to the blast.....both of them went a evolution of some sorts and because of this both sides where able to form a peace ending the war



Lia Giles became a border guard and mechanic for the power lines on the in between of the main city and the unearthly forests, no longer being able to stand living in the high technology world where humans are treated like second class citizens. On one of her patrols she discovers something or more like someone that no one has ever seen before.

Flying across the countryside was amazing. With the wind on my face, I could see the storm clouds rise into the sky like skyscrapers. No one bats an eye at an anonymous flyer, the gray suit speaks volumes for such a simple uniform.
For the four hour flight, I had packed myself some ideas about the test, and I wanted to score high, Dad spoke with me over the phone and I practiced for three hours just to get the evasive maneuvering correct. Fighting? I googled the most dangerous plants to exist and turned them into baseball bats and grenades. Hell, I think my favorite weapon might be a whip.
There were quite a few plants I considered too harsh to use in a battle. There is a bush that exists purely called the pain bush that I hesitated to grow.
I overshot Washington DC by eighteen miles, fantastic. I went back, checking the map to see where I was, and flying accordingly towards Washington DC. The Washington Monument came into view, tall and white in front of the snow-covered lawn of the Capitol.
It looked absolutely nothing like Denver, with clean streets, Christmas lights, and trees propped up. And for the first time in possibly years, I saw no columns of smoke on the city skyline.
Department of Superheroes, a grand dome jutting out of the ground, with seven twenty feet tall pillars. I flew down, then realized there was a radioactive shield up as I felt gravity suddenly take a hold of me. "Ack!" Too late -- I fell and crashed face-first into the lawn.
Ow. I groaned as I peeled myself off the ground. Thank god I didn't break my neck.
"Hey, you alright?" Someone lent me a hand.
"Yeah." I coughed, taking his hand to pull myself up, and saw the older man's fiery red hair, and bright red eyes, a little bit of stubble. Wait a minute, I know that badge. "Oh!"
"Yes?" He grinned, recognizing the look on my face.
"You're Flametongue?" I exclaimed. It's really Flametongue, the Torch of Europe. He's the one that won the Battle of the Mediterranean. He's the one that brought down five different factions. "Um, a pleasure to meet you. Hi. Hello."
"What's your name? Your pseudonym. I'm sure you didn't decide to faceplant into the headquarters just because." What a shame he's way older than me, that French accent could make anyone swoon.
"They call me Utopia." I grinned.
He blinked, surprised. "Oh, you're the one that outwitted Dystopia?"
"More like gaining a death sentence."
"Ah, I could relate. I blasted his arm off once, pretty sure he hasn't forgiven me yet." He cracked a grin.
"Flametongue!"
I looked past him towards the entrance of the building, where three people stepped out. One of them stormed over to the two of us with more fire in her eyes than Flametongue himself.
The leading woman wasn't in uniform like Flametongue but instead dressed in a navy pantsuit, dark-haired. "You're still on probation, what the hell are you doing outside?"
"I got sweetbread for Groundhog." He held up a grocery bag. "Besides, I couldn't ignore Utopia falling fifty feet onto our lawn."
I grimaced from the consequences of my terrible entrance. The woman sighed and gestured to her followers. "Take Utopia to Evaluation, please. Get Chroma and Luz as the judges. You, come with me." She dragged Flametongue by the ear towards the building.
The other two secretaries escorted me inside. Since I don't have a card to my name yet, I was given a visitor's pass at the front desk.
The interior was brilliant and clean. I wished I could just take photos of the hanging lights and the domed interior of the Department. The floor was incredibly reflective, it was almost like walking on air. No camera in sight, all of them were hidden rather well. Eight elevators lead downward, and I took the one for the guest visitors.
The training gym was four floors down, it was as if a weight had been lifted off my chest as I exited the radiation field and into a free zone.
There was one man in the entire training area, he seems to be testing out some of the equipment as the floor, walls, and ceiling undulated at the touch of a single button.
It's strange, I walked through twelve hallways, and saw not a single person in sight. Was everyone really that busy?
Luz greeted me with a tired smile. I probably woke him up in the middle of the night due to time zone differences. "Chroma couldn't make it, so I will be doing your evaluation today. First of all, let's determine what your powers are if you would stand in here." He gestured to a room, all white inside.
I entered, jumping back as lasers scanned me down, the air was almost too cold.
"Stand still for a second...Now move around."
[System record: Utopia. Powers: Botanical manipulation, Flight. Side effects: requires at least three hours of sunlight each day, and thrice more water to survive. The need for sunlight has enhanced perception of colors and movement, comparable to a hawk.]
"My eyes improved?" That was a surprise, but looking around, I could see the rapid and more detailed definition is seeing everything, like switching from a compact camera to the cameras they shoot movies on. Needing to go outside more was also a bit...Maybe I can ask my parents to buy a lamp for me. Water was not a problem, Mom and Dad can afford that much.
"You can see more colors than the average human person, you see in higher definition, and you can see ultraviolet light, which is pretty cool." Luz's voice came through the door. "If we're ever on a mission together, I would be so glad you would see the same things as me."
"You can see ultraviolet too?"
"Oh yes. I can see all spectrums of electromagnetic waves. Visible light and ultraviolet are just what I prefer." He pulled a document from a table nearby. "I'll give you a few minutes to warm up, then we'll begin the Placement test."
"Do I get weapons?"
"Yes."
I frowned, looked around the training gym. Still, a lack of people.
Since I could see almost every movement of the battle machines just shifting ever so slightly into attack position. Flying allowed me to completely avoid the ground. Dad's evasive maneuvering lessons came in handy, but at the last moment, I was slammed from behind onto the mats, then the ground got the jump on me and slammed me into the ceiling.
"Pretty good, you just need to watch your blindspots more," Luz commented from above. It was like he was watching a gladiator battle as the Emperor.
"Avalanche took me out the same way. Ow." I grumbled.
"Great, now neutralize these fifty dummies in any way you know how." Parts of the ground raised up, forming and unveiling into multiple targets. "Pick your weapons from the wall if you need to."
I grew a tree in my hand and swept through the army in one swing. The log oddly feels light in my hand, or maybe that's just referring to plants. "Does that count?"
"There's not just robots down there."
Someone's arm gripped my neck and yanked me back. "Whoops, sorry, looks like you are dea--"
I elbowed them in the stomach and wrapped vines around her arms, pulling them down to the ground and away from me. I stumbled out just as she ripped apart the vines, and something sharp barely grazed my cheek as I barely dodged an icicle.
First toy! I threw dynamite fruit around her.
Bam! Bam! Bam-Bam! She flung up the ice around her to block the impact of the exploding fruits. "Since when do plants explode?!"
"Yeah, nature is scary!" Second toy. I gripped a bark handle as thorns and bramble extended into a long, poisonous whip. "Come towards me. I dare you."
"So you're weak to long-range." She formed ice in her hands and shot razor-sharp icicles at me. I barely dodged them in time as I brought up a bark wall, the ice pierced through, freezing it and shattering the wood. I ran towards the far side of the gym, cursing myself for getting cocky.
"Oooh," Luz observed me flying frantically through the air. "Should probably keep talking to a minimum."
"Ah!" I yelped as I flew a complete 180 to the other side of the gym, up and over her. Icicles followed me as I dodged and weaved. Blindspots, watch out for blind spots! I ducked down behind my own log for a breather, she was barely giving me enough time to launch an attack. Wait a minute, she can't fly. I just need to keep floating in the air.
"You can't run forever." She yelled as I frantically wove vines between my hands, folding each leaf over and over until I had a ball of thorns. The log suddenly shattered. "I'm only at the third difficulty, and you're already retreating?"
I zipped out over the top of the ice spikes and threw my thorny vines to lash out, at the same time, hail rains from above. Pain lashed my back as dull spikes dug into my skin.
"AHHMph!" I was knocked out of the air into the foam floor yet again. But, my vines got her.
She shrieked in pain. "Okay! Okay. Stop the thorns, stop!" I looked up, seeing her frozen in place, arms out. "Okay, this is not funny anymore. Take them off!"
"I don't know if I can take them off." I frowned. "I've never tried."
"You mean I need to have each thorn taken out painstakingly?" The woman grimaced.
"I am so sorry." I forced the thorns to grow back into themselves and focused until they were harmless, smooth vines. I flicked my hand as if to make them go away, and then they decayed into ash. "Oh, I can decay plants? Cool."
"Now I need a few hundred bandages, excuse me." She limped awkwardly towards the medkit trolley, limbs frozen.
Luz called from the balcony. "Hold on, what's the grade, Alysha?"
"If you're caught in any of her attacks, you're going to wish you were dead instead. I'd give her a B. Technique just needs a lot of work, and lack of experience shows. If I went straight to level five difficulty, I can wipe her out for sure." She combed her brown ponytail out of the way and opened the kit. Then she began applying tiny circular bandages up her arm.
Luz leaned towards me from above. "The way you fly is similar to Supernova's jumps. Is the rumor about you being his daughter true?"
I raised an eyebrow, suddenly cautious. I remembered how terribly cautious Dad was about not wanting the Department to know where he was. I took a strip of gauze and held it to my bleeding cheek. "...Why do you want to know?"
"So it is true?" Luz descended from the balcony, scribbling on his clipboard.
"Well-no-it-no. No."
Alysha grinned. "You are a terrible liar. How has he been doing? It's been a while."
I sucked in a breath, my jaw clenched, and slowly turned away, trying to avoid the question. "Uh, Luz, are my grades ready?"
"Welcome to B-class, Utopia. Seriously, why would you not want to talk about your father?" He handed me a platinum-glass card. "We all used to be friends with him, and now that he's alive suddenly, it's just a miracle."
"Classified."
Alysha frowned. "He's definitely not dead, we just saw him on the news yesterday."
"I promised my parents to not talk about it, so I'm not talking about it." I held the card up to the light, pleased to have such a high-quality item, then put it in the pocket. "Is that all I need to do for today? How is Mystical?"
"Yes, that is all you need to do for today." Luz nodded. "I don't know much about Mystical, but since you're situated in Denver, you are to do whatever Mystical tells you to do as part of the registered superheroes within the city. I suggest you get a custom mask made, and ask for a teleporter to take you back."
I nodded and turned away to find the exit.
"Wait." The woman said.
I paused, turned around.
"When you see Supernova again," The woman looked at me. "Could you say hello to him for us?"
I sighed. "Alright."
The teleporter dropped me off at the ruins of the festival since it was the only place the teleporter saw within Denver. It's strange coming back as a registered superhero. All the damage was being cleaned up, quickly rebuilt, and the water was shoveled into the river in an attempt to fix the pipes under there. The wooden vines and frenzy did hold any collapsing structures in place. The construction workers and first responders thanked me as I flew past.
...How was I supposed to go back home in this uniform?
I suppose I can check up on Hailey, borrow her clothes for today. I wondered what type of psychic damage she has, and if she was launched up the waiting list yet.
I landed on the balcony of her condo and knocked on the door to her bedroom. "Hailey! Hailey, it's me. Open the door. I have need of your clothing wares." I peered into the window, squinting at the lump on the bed. "Hailey? Are you sleeping at seven in the evening?"
Benjamin entered the room, seeing me outside the window. "Oh! Charlotte!" He opened the door.
"Is Hailey okay?" I took off the mask and plopped down beside the bed. She looked feverishly red, a cold towel was pressed to her forehead.
"No, she went into a coma just a few hours ago. Another week, and she might become a vegetable." Ben stared at her solemnly, moving a hair from her face. "Rapid mental deterioration. I'm worried."
"Avalanche definitely wasn't Avalanche." I frowned. "It could be a mercenary Dystopia hired to pretend to be Avalanche."
"They didn't seem to be working together when the fight was recorded." Ben frowned.
"No, they were. I...pretended to die. I think they were working together." I scratched my head.
"It looked like Dystopia decided to ally with Fake Avalanche at the last second." He thought aloud. "Or they're both amazing actors."
"Avalanche said he was under some orders, but I remember the news saying he's not part of Dystopia's faction."
Benjamin took out his phone to look it up. "You're right, Mountain Breaker confirms that Avalanche is part of Mastermind's faction, all the way in the Himalayas, he just robbed a bank yesterday around the same time."
"We need an accurate list of every super in the city right now, even if we outnumber Dystopia, We don't know who is on his team."
"I'll get to work on that."

Charlotte Siegfried was just handed powers by chance after being exposed to radiation. Instead of focusing on her career to become a great architect, she finds herself helping out part-time with her best friend Hailey Dante to protect Denver from the world's greatest enemy, who has come to tear their city apart-

-until he goes missing.

However, was fighting against this foe all that she can offer to this world? What about her dream as an architect? And why would this missing villain suddenly seek her out for a truce?

Hey guys it's the author here.

So throughout these first 5 chapters I've been keeping a tight leash on my main character personality and I personally hate it.

My character feels like a back ground character to me. I hate his personality and have to try hard to make him as much like Law's as possible.

Which is bland as f*ck and with practically no emotions. Law is basically the synonym of depression and I hate that.

So I decided to change his personality, I'll have to rewrite the previous chapters I wrote to make it fit. Because let's be honest Law's only ambition is to kill Doflamingo something pretty simple to accomplish with future knowledge. And that makes me 'hate him' as a character since his goal is too short sighted. 

I want a character that will truly live in the one piece world to the best of his abilities. A real protagonist, not someone who doesn't actively look for trouble and just sits around doing nothing. I want a type of Roger, Luffy personality but with the brains to back it up. To become a great leader a character needs charisma and Law simply doesn't have any.

What do you guys think?

Should I proceed with my idea and make the transmigrated soul overpower Law's or not. Because let's be honest Law will never in a million years have the ambition to become pirate king since it's simply too much work.

A couple personality Ideas you can vote for:

- Roger type personality, a lot like Roger in the last episode seem to have a strong wish to experience the world and travel around it. But unlike Luffy, Roger is a lot more mature. Making him like Red hair shanks in a way, parties a lot, fights a lot but is also very calculative. So he won't have any territories like the other Yonko's but will simply travel from island to island, he can decide to protect some but will not have a base of command like Kaido and Big mom.

- Sinbad type personality, making Law a huge flirt. With the dream of one day making a country for all races with no poor or rich. Everyone is equal. So in other word perfect Utopia. Kind of like big mom but better. (Even though Mc is a flirt it's still not a harem) While following this route Mc's goal will not be to become Pirate king, but might safeguard a road poneglyph in his territory.

- Mafia like personality, this will be the hardest to make. Since it will be essentially like Doffy. The Mc will be more evil and will have a clear Boss/ Subordinate relationship with the rest of his crew. He will be ruthless in his action to accomplish his goal. And his final goal will be not pirate king but world domination. So to replace the current World Government by himself.

- Last but not least, Joker like personality. The Mc is an agent of chaos and will bring destruction or peace depending on his mood. The Mc will be a little crazy and will be a true definition of what a pirate is.

You guys vote for the one you prefer by leaving a paragraph comment or add a personality here, I might love it to the point of implementing it immediately. The vote aren't really decisive it just helps me visualize things.

Slowly, Alexander felt that Ainz was getting too emotional in his storytelling as he got faster and faster speaking.
"At the beginning of the twenty-second century, with the collapse of the primary-sector industries due to advanced environmental destruction and the drying up of crops, there were food riots in all corners of the world. The riots eventually turned into a coup d'etat, and when the politicians were targeted by the people's discontent, they were tried by the mob French revolution style.
"Into the power vacuum left by the halt of government functions, due to the coup d'etat, came the huge conglomerates, which seized the legislative, executive, and judicial powers. They succeeded in taking over countries around the world.
"But the ones who caused the environmental destruction in the first place were the huge conglomerates. If they had protected the environment, there wouldn't have been food shortages or riots. Looking at it that way, it seemed like the world was being manipulated by the conglomerates for a long time. We humans brought our own doom by playing right into their hands.
"Meanwhile, those in the conglomerates had taken refuge in complete environmental cities called arcologies. So arcologies ended up becoming states with cities built around them. At certain times for various reasons, arcologies went to war with one another. But even then, only the poor died.
"The government had basically ceased functioning, and police remained only in name. Naturally, public safety worsened, and gangs of thieves and hackers operated in the open, but society as a whole wasn't actually thrown into chaos because that was how the rich made money. Most people quietly commuted to an office and put in their hours.
"Employees were treated cruelly, but they never complained, and almost no one rebelled against their administration. The reason they didn't was that anyone who revolted against their company would have been unable to survive in that world.
"After the huge conglomerates took over the countries, under the pretext of "getting public expenditure under control," the compulsory education system was dismantled but their true aim was robbing the poor of their ability to think.
"Parents who wanted their children to be able to get a halfway decent job still sent them to school but it wasn't easy for the poor to scrape together tuition. There were many who bent over backwards and ruined their health working to pay for it. Really, elementary education shouldn't have cost that much, but prices soared because the wealthy wanted to rob the poor of educational opportunities. It was a cycle of hellish life you couldn't get out of even if you wanted to.
"People who graduated from elementary school had at least a minimum level of knowledge, which they used as a gear in the system to get a job. That was the definition of success if one was considered to be poor financially.
"The poor ate mostly supplements and processed food designed with only nutrition delivery in mind because it had gotten difficult to acquire fresh meat or vegetables. The reason DMMO-RPGs became so popular in the twenty-second century was due partially to how interesting the games were, but another reason was probably that so many people wanted to escape their hopeless reality. To players, the DMMO-RPG was not an "alternate" reality, it had already replaced the real world.
"However, these games, which players turned to for support, were also developed by affiliates of the huge conglomerates. But nobody cared about such things anymore.
"I was an elementary school graduate and salaryman who lived alone in a broken-down apartment. Because I did not have any real family or friends to support me, I dedicated my whole life to the DMMO-RPG, YGGDRASIL, and just my guild. My life was an endless cycle of going to the office to work. I had often seen kids who had just graduated elementary school working alongside me on the job.
"We were just like mindless robots. Being used by the rich and if you raised your voice, you will die of hunger or by the wealthy by some other way. Humans stopped caring about each other long ago and so did I. My only escape was the video game YGGDRASIL.
"When I arrived in this world, I did not know if this was all real or not. Even though everything looked real, I was still cursed with this senseless body. I can not feel touch, taste or some other wide variety of emotions. I eventually started acting like the undead overlord that I was.
"But alas, after spending some time. I learned that this world is not much different from my old one. But mind that I don't find pleasure in killing humans and don't go out of his way to kill innocent ones just to do it.
"Now my goal is to make a world where every race and species is completely equal. Where tragedies no longer occur, where wars don't happen, and no more genocide occurs. This all is because I want to honour the memory of my friends and create a world they would praise me for creating. So I'm ready to become an Undying Immortal, ruthless but just and fair King to accomplish this goal. And I'll do nearly anything, as long as it doesn't hurt my former NPC's or Nazarick itself."
Alexander heard to Ainz's rambling this whole time. He was seriously horrified by the world Ainz was from. He wondered that if he had left all the earths he knew as they were, they too would have become like this in the future?
But Alexander was still not buying Ainz's all reasoning. The reason was his sins.

By normal sense, this kind of sin percentage was in no way normal. Alexander would send Category 4 to eternal hell. But, he was also a bit confused. Can a person who grew up in a society of immorality and ignorance be held to the same standards as that of a human from normal earth? Maybe if this Ainz had lived in a good world and lived in a loving family he might not have committed all these sins.
So who is the real sinner in this case? The one who committed these crimes or what led to him committing these crimes, his previous world.
Finally, after thinking for 1 whole minute, he decided what he was going to give him as a punishment.
"So you want to create an utopia, right? But what if your companions are the threat to that utopia? Where will your priority be? Who would you side with?" Alexander asked.
"I know that as long as people don't give them a reason to harm them, they won't do it. I can also command them not to hurt people and my words are of the highest priority to them," Ainz justified. Though he didn't really mean it because he knew there were some rebellious elements in his subordinates. But his punishment would make him seriously control his people's wild behaviours.

"Save me!" I heard a girl scream. "No! Mother, I'm sorry... I'm sorry."
"Do not call me mother." A woman sternly replied.
"I don't want to die. Why can't I have anything I want?!" The girl sobbed.

I felt someone tug on my shirt and I couldn't believe what I saw. It was bloody. The girl, she looked exactly like me. She was on her knees, wounded and bloody. "I'm s-sorry" I stammered against my own will. Who are you? "Please save me, Utopia! I don't want to die yet." she begged crying. 

"I don't understand" I said unconsciously.
"Utopia" She chuckled. "I fucking hate you. This is all your fault! I just wanted to be happy. Why do you have to ruin everything? What did I do to you to deserve this huh? All I wanted was to make me happy, you! Us, Utopia!" She said hysterically.
"Who's Utopia? Who are you? Please help me. I don't know anything anymore." I replied frustrated.


"You really are stupid, aren't you? I am Utopia. You are Utopia!"

"Utopia, Are you alright?" 
"I... don't know. I guess so?" I replied.
"Why were you crying? Did you have a nightmare?" The man with a deep voice asked.

I didn't notice tears flowing down my eyes but remembering what happened earlier, I started to break down. "Was it really bad?" The man asked softly. As a reply, I slightly nodded and tried to look at him in the eye but instead a warm and gentle embrace then enveloped me. It felt so gentle as if I would break if he wasn't careful.  Even though I don't know him, I felt comfortable with him.

I didn't know why but I felt like I've received the warmth I've been craving for ever since then. We spent a few minutes in that position until we heard someone knock on the door.

"Utopia?! Y-you're awake?" 

Shivers went down my spine. It was her! I quickly knew that it was the voice of the woman I heard earlier. She tried to kill Utopia. She tried to kill me? "Utopia, my poor child. How are you? You collapsed earlier. Are you trying to kill your mother?! I was so worried." She said filled with concern. Every time I hear her voice, I see the image of Utopia crying. Every time I see her, my heart experiences an unbearable pain. 

She told me that I am Utopia but if the girl from earlier is also Utopia, does that make us one? If this woman was Utopia's- no my mother, then why did she try to kill Utopia? Why did she try to kill me? I want to believe that it was just a simple delusion but I can't. I feels too real. Come to think of it, Utopia, the girl from my dream was also wounded. Her wounds weren't just from being hit but it also looked like she was burnt. The last thing I can remember is fire. I know the feeling of fire too well.

"Utopia" She called once again disrupting my thoughts. 

I couldn't speak a word and I started trembling. Should I answer her? After having that nightmare, I don't think I can look her in the eye. "Madame, I don't think she's alright. We should let her rest, she must still be processing her thoughts." The man intervened. 

"I guess you're right Kazuki, I'll just leave you with her." She decided. "Get some rest, okay?" She then turned to me.

When I sought for happiness, all I received was sorrow. When I sought for freedom, I was suffocated. I live in a world filled with lies, a world filled with secrets and a world of uncertainty.

I am Utopia and so is she. As she was forgotten, I was set free. Forgetting her was forgetting me so here I am, unraveling the secrets of Utopia.
