Alright, alright. I'll give some more context. 
It was back in my college days, roughly eight years prior to writing this (wait—it's been THAT LONG ALREADY?!?!). I was home for the weekend, as usual, but since it was early in the fall semester I didn't have much homework to do. So instead, I found ways to be a productive member of society!
…Not really. I just played too much Wii. Specifically, Super Smash Brothers: Brawl.
I had played the game so much with a friend in high school that I fell into a routine approach: I'd always do two-on-two team battles. As I dodged and spammed the A-attack for hours, my creative gears began turning. Ever since I was a kid, my brain has interpreted everything as some sort of story or narrative, and apparently playing a mindless game was no exception.
I began competing as the same team combinations over and over again, on all kinds of different stages. Before I knew it, I was forming fake little storylines for these teams in my head. 
(Apparently, at nineteen years old I wasn't old enough to stop playing pretend. But anyways…)
All this overly-specific gameplay got me thinking: this could literally BE a story. Fighters with special powers that always fought in teams of two…traveling to extremely diverse types of locations, to the point where they cross genres when they cross borders…
This could be fun to write.
As a Toonami kid back in the day who had recently returned to the anime world like some sort of Prodigal Weeb, I had seen my share of powered-up fighting anime. But I hadn't seen many concepts where the characters always fought as duos.
(I had yet to watch Pacific Rim, which had just released months earlier…but that's Pacific Rim. It just…doesn't count.)
On top of that, I thought it would be fun to implement a Pokémon-type culture. Hence, the Consciousness League: a fighting league where teams of two would travel around and challenge each other for money and potential stardom.
As for where they would all be adventuring, the idea of attributing genres to actual locations intrigued me. These power-enhanced duos would travel a vast world filled with virtually every possibility, much like the randomness of all the Super Smash Bros stages. It wouldn't be constrained to science fiction, fantasy, or realism alone.
While initially I had no idea what that would look like, it has since evolved into the story's setting and system: the Multiverse, containing Fiction Country, Realistic Fiction Country, Fantasy Country, Science Fiction Country, Normal Country, and Horror Country—all connected by No Man's Land.
(I understand I haven't explored this very much in the first Volume, but it's addressed much more in Volume 2, which starts next week!)
Similar to the limitless settings in the Multiverse, the characters would be just as diverse. In Smash Bros, I had been playing as two teams consistently: Link and Shiek, and Zelda and Lucas. These four characters were my initial inspirations for the main cast: Deon, Skrili, Zayza, and Lammy. 
And when you spend too much time fighting as Link, you start to question things.
Namely: how does he carry so much stuff around at once?? It always looks like he's pulling it out of his butt. Is his butt an infinite pocket of items??? Like, where is this all coming from?!
That gave me the whole "Imaginer" idea: a power where consciousnesses can create objects with their mind alone (Momo Yaoyorozu from My Hero Academia didn't exist to the public yet so don't come at me). Originally, all consciousnesses were going to be Imaginers. Instead, I landed on over a hundred consciousness types, like the original 101 Pokémon in Gen 1. 
To be fair, I can't really say Super Smash Bros: Brawl and OG Pokémon were my entire inspiration. As I mentioned, I was the Prodigal Weeb: returning to anime as a bright-eyed manchild and absorbing every second of shows like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Bleach (the latter of which hasn't aged nearly as well as the former). As a reborn anime fan, those long-running shonen epics excited me. I wanted to try and make my own story like them, paying homage to my favorite anime.
And I kid you not: I genuinely, naïvely thought I was doing something unique by starting an anime-inspired ongoing novel. I had no idea the communities on Webnovel or other sites existed. Honestly, I wasn't even planning on showing anyone my work—I was going to use Conscious, Conscientious merely as writing practice.
So by this point, I had paused my game. I turned on my Toshiba laptop (Old Faithful…you will be remembered forever) and opened a Microsoft Word Document.
I'd been writing fiction for nobody since I was very young, but hadn't worked on anything in quite a while. This gave me the push to get back into it.
As I typed the first few words, it all began magically coming together into a pure masterpiece.
Just kidding, it sucked.
Throughout my college years, I went on to write around 26 chapters (which I called "episodes") of my original story. My ingenious approach was to write on the fly each time, with no idea of an overarching plot. I was winging it, just to keep my writing muscles exercised.
That caused A LOT of stupid plot issues. I DON'T recommend writing this way.
Eventually, I began emailing the chapters to close family and friends. One is a fellow aspiring writer, and you may see their work on this site one day…I'll let you know ;-) Over the years, after I realized I had a legitimate idea on my hands, this friend helped me flesh out the overarching story and characters.
This led to about a year ago, when I finally decided to try sharing my stories with the world for the first time. I had a clear beginning, middle, and end in mind, with all of the plot and character arcs conceptualized. 
The only problem was: my original 20-something chapters were in ROUGH shape. So I spent quite a while reworking and rewriting chapters, while planning what the overall release of the project would look like.
Aside from writing fiction for nobody to read, my other passion has always been making music. As a longtime Sonic the Hedgehog fan (the casual kind, not the questionable-fan-art-kind), I always loved how the 3D games would feature actual theme songs for each character. Plus, I discovered the immersive art of concept music from rock bands like Falling Up, who released an album called Hours with a corresponding audionovel of the same name. This was something I'd always wanted to try.
And so, as I prepared Arc 1 of Conscious, Conscientious, I also began writing and recording theme music for it.

And now, after several months of writing, recording, posting, and mostly just learning from dumb mistakes, we have the first 20 chapters of Conscious, Conscientious. I'm pleased to say: starting next week, we dive right into Volume 2 with Chapter 21.
In the next arc, you can expect a lot more exploration of the Multiverse and how it works, a lot more powers and types, and most importantly: you'll see the main characters forced to grow and change with new challenges, both physical and emotional. I'm excited to raise the stakes, as well as bring you some more theme songs. I hope you'll come along for the journey!

When writing your webnovel, what "surface appearance" means is the packaging and appearance of your novel.

In our daily lives, we're well aware of the importance of packaging in influencing how well a product sells. Oftentimes, the packaging is even more important than the product itself. Yet, many authors tend to neglect their work on the packaging of their webnovel. They believe that this is the responsibility of the website staff, and that only the website staff can help design and beautiful their novel's page.

What authors don't realize is that no matter what website you post your novel at, you as an author can modify quite a lot about your novel's appearance. These factors are quite influential in the success or failure of your novel. Since improving your novel's surface appearance is vastly easier than improving the content of your novel, it could be said that this is especially important as well as efficient.

As for the surface appearance of your novel, it can be categorized into the seven types below.

1. Your novel's title

In your packaging, one of the most important elements is your novel's title. For any novel, in most normal circumstances, the reader will find out your novel's title before any other information about it. The title is the most important factor in whether a reader chooses to click on it and read your synopsis or not. It also helps the readers to understand the most important elements of your novel. And so, there's no need for me to speak any further about the importance of your novel's title.

In that case, what type of a novel title is a good one? I believe that a good novel title should accomplish the following points.

（1） Simple

Simple here refers to using easy to understand words that even elementary school students can recognize, rather than using some highly esoteric or difficult words that few people can read in order to sound fancy.

（2） Only English words in the title

Don't use a title with words from other languages. Nor should you have numbers, punctuation, or individual letters in your novel's title. This will make your novel title look more professional as well as make it easier for readers to search for your novel.

（3） Easy to read and remember

Perhaps "easy to remember" will make some authors confused, but actually, it's connected to being easy to read. A good novel title should flow quite well when people try reading it out loud. That's why you shouldn't use words that are difficult to pronounce. Otherwise, if readers can't even remember the title of your novel, how are they possibly supposed to remember your story?

（4） Not too long

This is also an issue about readability. If your novel's title is overly long, it's not easy for readers to search for it or remember the name. Normally speaking, the average book's title has around two to six words in it.

About the length of your novel's title, there's something else that needs to be noted. Amongst authors, there's a saying that the shorter your novel's title is, the better, because this helps your novel to be ranked farther in the front. In a way, this is correct, because many websites often put the novels with the shorter titles first when giving recommended reads on the front page, so the titles that are shorter will naturally be at the forefront. However, this alone shouldn't make us conclude that a shorter title is always better.

The influence of a novel's title has so many factors involved, and being on the recommended list is only a tiny portion. If you can have a better position on the recommended list, of course, that's a good thing, but if you choose a shorter title just for this, then you'll definitely lose more than you gain. Besides, even if you have a really short novel title, can you guarantee that there are other recommended novels out there that don't have equally short names? What if you're in the middle? Honestly speaking, there's no real difference in being at the left or in the middle of the recommended novels section.

（5） Not esoteric

When choosing your novel's title, it should be just like writing your novel. You should consider your general audience. And since you're writing a webnovel, your general audience would obviously prefer to read words in an easy to understand manner. If your novel title is overly esoteric or poetic, or sounds too philosophical, then your novel's popularity will be greatly affected. The majority of readers probably won't even click on your novel to read the synopsis.

（6） Appropriate bandwagoning
From a certain standpoint, bandwagoning can be advantageous. For example, since "Library of Heaven's Path" is a highly popular novel, perhaps you could write a book titled "Library of Hell's Path," which will naturally bring your novel some attention.

However, it's obvious that this actually isn't so much of a good thing for either the readers or the website, so it's quite easy for your novel to become suppressed if you bandwagon too much. For instance, if you really do call your novel "Library of Hell's Path," then it'll be quite difficult for you to receive a recommendation on the front page because it'll be too similar to the popular "Library of Heaven's Path." Not only that, there are also disadvantages for the author, because using such a copycat name will make some readers displeased as well, making it harder to attract some readers.

And so, that's why newcomer authors should only bandwagon appropriately and observe what type of novel titles are the most popular. Then, you should create your own original title that's similar in spirit but not in style.

（7） Express the uniqueness of your novel

A good novel title should express the uniqueness of your novel. The best-case scenario would be that your title expresses the main wish-fulfillment point of your novel. For example, a novel named "Returning to the Yuan Dynasty" can already tell you the two major information points that this novel is about returning to the past and historical fiction. Or, the famous franchise "Spiderman" tells you simply from the title that the story is about someone with spider-based abilities as well as being a superhero story.

In conclusion, when naming your novel, a good method would be to organize your novel's keywords and special vocabulary as well as all the most interesting factors in your novel, then categorize and modify them while seeing which point or points would be the best to put in your novel's name. Finally, come up with an excellent novel title based on the above seven points.


2. Choosing your genre to categorize your novel as

After choosing your novel's title, you should choose the specific genre your novel belongs to. Actually, perhaps it's not quite appropriate to use the word "choose" here, because the genre is really decided by the content of your story, not what you as an author choose.

About choosing your genre, the most important, and basically the only rule there is, is to "never do false advertising." That's because the end result of false advertising will be bad for everyone.

For example, even though you're clearly writing a novel about mystical abilities in a modern-day setting, you placed your novel into the alternate history genre. This way, readers that enjoy alternate history novels will happily start reading your novel but will leave disappointed, while readers that enjoy modern novels with mystical abilities won't even be able to find your novel by genre.

For most novels, it won't be difficult to classify its genre at all. However, there are some novels that have elements from multiple genre types. Perhaps your novel is both modern as well as xianxia, with science fiction and military added as well, and even fantasy. This doesn't mean that your story is bad, however, this type of story will often confuse the author. Just what overall genre should the author classify such a story under?

First of all, what you should consider is the matter of which story elements are truly the most important. This is the foundational issue at hand.

However, if you as an author really feel like all the elements are equally important, then you'll just have to make a decision and choose one genre on your own. There are two factors you should consider here. First is that popular genres will have more readers, and the second is that less popular genres will have fewer novels and thus less competition.

These two factors are a matter of not being able to have your cake and eat it too. For newcomer authors, you can choose a genre based on your own confidence in your novel's ability. But normally speaking, it's more recommended to choose a less popular genre to categorize your novel as.

All of the same could be said for your story's synopsis as well. Make sure that your story's synopsis matches the genre that it's supposed to be under.

Looking to [Stories About The Ming Dynasty] wasn't reliable because the language was simple and at grassroot level, in order to appeal to the general public. Plus the book was about history, which was a pretty universal genre. Novels which were rich in "popular expressions'' and jokes from the future wouldn't work as well. 
Then came the subject matter. Jiang Cheng was a very cautious person, so cautious that he made sure to become an expert in Ming history in order to write [Stories About The Ming Dynasty], he wasn't willing to write about topics he didn't understand.
Finally, there was the issue of writing standard. Jiang Cheng's writing was great, and he was currently being praised as a model for everyone, so those quick cash grab novels or poorly written novels were of the table.
In this way, he narrowed down the genres he could write down to; Martial Arts, Xianxia, Magical Realism, Romance and History.
Among them, in the history category he had already written [Stories About The Ming Dynasty] so he didn't want to write another history novel. At least not until the series was completely published.
Magical Realism, he just felt was too broad plus he didn't really like the genre. 
For the Romance category there was [Autumn's Concerto] which was coming out as a TV show next year so he decided to skip it as well.
Therefore, only Martial Arts and Xianxia were left before Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng loved the two themes very much. Needless to say, martial arts, who didn't dream of learning martial arts and becoming the next Bruce Lee when they were younger? Plus martial arts culture was already an integral part of Chinese culture. As for Xianxia, ​​it was actually essentially an extension of martial arts. Mythical fantasy built on the basis of martial arts.
Jiang Cheng was very optimistic about the two themes, and was slightly unwilling to give up either. However, his energy was limited. He only had little more than a month left before he had to head to school, just about enough time to write another book.
After the semester started, he wanted to properly dedicate his time to learning to act plus Shanghai Tangren would be starting filming for [Autumn's Concerto] later on and would likely call on him.
He couldn't pick anything that would take too long to write.
Having a hard time and being unable to choose, Jiang Cheng thought of Jiang Dejun and decided to ask him for his opinion.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Dejun, who had always attached great importance to traditional culture and who he thought would advise him to choose martial arts, actually chose Xianxia!
"Martial arts can be said to have a long history in our country. From the Song Dynasty's [The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants] to [Water Margin], even [Stories About The Ming Dynasty] can be said to be a martial arts novel in some ways. 
However for the Xianxia theme you're talking about, Zhuzhu's [Story of Swordsman from Shushan Mountain] is the closest I can think of but even that was not completely separated from the category of martial arts. 
Martial arts novels in recent years have been given a new rebirth by authors like Jin Yong, Gu Long, Liang Yusheng and Wen Ruian!"
"However, in recent years with the retirement of Jin Yong and the rest and there being fewer and fewer traditional literati in recent years, the amount of decent works being written has fallen. Whilst Jin Yong, Gu Long and the others helped revive and create a new school of martial arts novels, due to their standing and reputations it seems people can't escape the framework set by them!"
Jiang Dejun said whilst sighing.
"You grew up reading novels by Jin Yong, Gu Long and the others, it's too easy for you to be influenced by them. On the contrary, listening to your explanation, I think the theme of Xianxia is very good, it can give you more reign to play with your imagination and creativity, just like you did in "[Stories About The Ming Dynasty]. Of course, this is just a suggestion. It's up to you to decide which one you choose. If you choose martial arts, I look forward to seeing a new take on martial arts that can break down the current framework! "
Listening to Jiang Dejun's suggestion, Jiang Cheng was even more torn.
Martial arts novels weren't easy to write. Without profound planning, understanding of traditional Chinese culture, and a martial arts background, it was nigh impossible to write a good novel. A good martial arts novel often took several years to write, for example [The Legend of the Condor Heroes] was still constantly being revised by Jin Yong.
Then....should I choose Xianxia? Jiang Cheng questioned. 
In fact he already had a novel in mind, for Xianxia, the novel [Zhu Xian]. 
The novel [Zhu Xian] had a pivotal position in later generations of online literature. Once published in China, it soared to the Chinese, Hong Kong and Taiwanese bestsellers list. With it's imaginative and powerful narrative, it quickly became the pinnacle of Chinese Xianxia literature. It even became famous overseas after being translated.
Throughout the novel, love, affection, friendship and the battle between right and evil was brought together, the writing was beautiful and the story was vivid. With more than 30 million views online, it was hailed as a pioneering work in a new generation of domestic Xianxia novels comparable to the legendary [Story of Swordsman from Shushan Mountain], a masterpiece of Xianxia.
The plot of [Zhu Xian] had its ups and downs and the characters were distinct. It provided a unique take on a Eastern Xianxia world at the time, with grand and detailed world building. The love story was especially famous. One of the questions repeatedly explored in the book was 'what was good and evil in a world without benevolence, where the strong reigned'.
The love story between Zhang Xiaofan, Bi Yao and Lu Xueqi touched the fans of [Zhu Xian] and caused the creation of fandoms for each. People actively argued online over who they shipped more, and why one female lead was better than the other. 
The story had love, family and friendship and the way it dealt with each was thought-provoking and unforgettable. It wasn't simply a hack and slash novel like most cultivation stories would become like in the future. 
However, [Zhu Xian] wasn't flawless, and there were still issues. The most distressing and regretful thing for readers was how long Xiao Ding took to update and finish the book. The ending of the book also left many things unsolved and created plot holes.
But despite the few flaws, [Zhu Xian] was still a classic among Xianxia novels.
However, if Jiang Cheng were to write the book, he couldn't make the same mistakes, he would have to make up for these deficiencies.
But, Jiang Cheng was confident he could edit, fix out any plot holes and create a satisfying ending. 
But despite this, he still couldn't make up his mind to write [Zhu Xian]. 

Jiang Cheng a screenwriter is reincarnated to 2001, into the seventeen-year-old body of another Jiang Cheng. 

Clutching onto the dreams of his previous life he attempts to succeed where he previously failed. 

He starts from scratch, as a small-time screenwriter writing television shows and movie scripts. 

Filled with dreams of becoming a generational  entertainment legend and establishing an entertainment empire he takes the road to become the King of Film.

Location: Lansdowne Hotel, Chippendale
Situated on the corner of the intersection facing both Victoria Park and Broadway Shopping Centre and only roughly twenty minutes away from the USYD campus by foot, the Lansdowne Hotel is an old bar that has become a decently popular venue for gigs of both the indie and electronic varieties.
The bar area on the street level contains features you'd expect from a typical pub of its kinds, such as a pool table, a small stage for bands to play (with a small mosh pit before it), both a pokies and smoking area little further outback and, most importantly, a solid bar top where customers can order their cold beverages and hot food.
Since it's a Wednesday afternoon, the bar was relatively quiet for the moment, so Gab and her friends were easily able to grab a table.
As they were waiting for their food to be served, the group of four ordered drinks in the meantime, with Amalia grabbing a vodka sofa with fresh lime and the rest of them sticking with their own Young Henry's Newtowners
"So you're saying I WASN'T the main inspiration for your new homebrew class?", Amalia asked Gab, taking a slow sip from her straw as she raised her eyebrow at Gab, as if still doubted her friend's truthfulness in this regard.
"Oh please,", Gab scoffed, " you may be from one of the more affluent parts of the Eastern Suburbs, but you are by far one of the least narcissistic, sun tanned blondes from over there I've ever met!".
And Gab truly wasn't joking. Whilst her designer brand blue sundress, Louis Vuitton purse and Gucci sunglasses might give people who don't know her the impression of someone wth a decent amount of narcissism and , she was anything but.
Hell, the very reason she was studying at UNS was to gain noticeable qualifications to become a social worker specialising in cases related to women and children who have been subjected to various types of abuse.
At first, Gab and the others were confused by her career choice. After all, Amalia not only had a highly privileged lifestyle since she was young, she also apparently had not been subjected through anything remotely similar to what her potential cases would've experienced.
When they initially voiced their confusion to Amalia, she simply stated that it's because she experienced a relatively painless life growing up that she wanted to ensure that the people she'll be working at the behest of won't endure any more unnecessary pain, inflicted by people who's only goal is to experience a paradoxical sense of power by ripping it away from their victims.
Would someone who grew up as the only child of an entertainment mogul father with fingers in many sectors of the Australian entertainment industry and a mother who's a named partner of a corporate law firm be considered narcissistic after choosing to become a frontline advocate of those less fortunate than her instead of just simply donating large quantities of cash to the appropriate charities and call it a day?
Gab herself certainly didn't think so.
"From what I deducted from your draft,", Elina interjected, wanting to focus more on the mechanics of Gab's latest homebrew as opposed to its inspiration, "your "Narcissism Domain" can be used by Clerics who don't act as agents of any deities just as well Clerics who do. How's that possible?".
"Letting your inner lawyer out I see, El,", Gab joked whilst Elina only narrowed her eyes dangerously, causing Gab to cough nervously, "but to answer your question, the highest form of narcissism is to wholeheartedly believe that you are above anyone in certain respects, such as beauty, skill and personal status despite evidence to the contrary. Even deities.".
Tilting her head towards her law student friend, Gab continued by asking:
"In a class that draws a significant amount of its power from the concept of "belief", wouldn't a Cleric who believes in their  superiority to that extent have the strength to go toe-to-toe with others of the same class who gain their strength from someone they believe is far above them?".
Elina tapped her chin several times before she gave her response.
"Whilst from a conceptual standpoint that viewpoint might have merit, but I'm sure that there must be some gameplay mechanic demerits to Clerics who take that approach, such as being more susceptible to curses and from deities who deems that type of attitude towards them to be unsavoury, as well as well as needing to roll higher die values to get the results they want than more traditional Clerics.".
Nodding at Elina's assessment, Gab let out a soft sigh.
"Well, it's still a work in progress that I only started this arvo, so it makes sense that it still has a few kinks that I need to work out,", she agreed, taking off her beanie to run her fingers through her black hair, which was styled into a spiky pixie-cut with several streaks of bright blue hair dye (which completes her punkish look).
Elina's mouth twitched at her friend's words.
"…of course that in-depth class profile was a draft that you wrote up today,", Elina sighed, bemoaning the sheer difference between Gab's fast writing speed in comparison to her slow-paced writing, "if you choose to study law instead of creative writing, working as a deposition writer would be practically easy money for you.".
Looking at the law student from the corner of her eye, Gab gave a small laugh at the sight of her normally serious friend sulking over something like writing speeds.
"El, you're studying to become an advocate for the rights of people in our community," Gab reminded her, "if I were to potentially become one of your clients, I'd rather you take your time writing you legal documents and get all the minutiae down pat, as opposed to blazing through it only to find out on the day of filling you forgot to add a few key details.".
After hearing that reaffirmation from Gab, Elina let out a wistful sigh and developed a slight blush from embarrassment.
"Our soon-to-be birthday girl is right El,", Maria chimed in, carrying another round of drinks (which she seemed to have ordered when Gab and the others weren't looking) before placing them on the table.
"Even though she writes up her homebrew classes quickly, Doug often finds mistakes, balance issues and all sorts of problems that she needs to fix before it can be considered playable in the game's setting," she continued, referencing their DM in the process.
"Whilst she could simply rectify her mistakes in her documents, you won't necessarily be able to do the same thing when you file yours."
"Speaking of,", Maria drawled, turning her gaze to Gab, "are you still sure about letting me choose our destination for your 21st?", she asked, unashamedly not bothering to her mischievous smirk.
Feeling a sense of trepidation at the sight of her friend's expression, Gab gave a nervous chuckle before answering.
"So long as it's not a BDSM club or anything similar, I'm cool with you surprising me," she answered.
"Besides, you're the best I know at discovering good venues across Sydney, considering you played at a fair few of them.".
In addition to studying music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (the more music-orientated branch of the University of Sydney), Maria is a freelancing member of a few music bands that each play different genres of music.
Jazz, Rock, Classical, Maria can play those genres and more.
It is thanks in part to her interest in experimenting with different types of music that only comes second to Gab's interest in RPG Character Classes that she played across quite a few venues across Sydney that host live music performances, giving Maria an edge over her friends in regards to finding bars and clubs that suit their purpose at any given time for going out.
"…Tempting, seeing as how you considered what you did to me earlier as appropriate!", she snarks, punctuating the end of her sentence by gently rubbing her, what appeared to be, still sore nipples, causing Gab to wince.
"But worry not my Nipple Twister friend,", she paused, her smirk reconfiguring into its friendlier variant, "for your 21st birthday you will be taken to a fun place where liquids are poured freely, the music doesn't make you feel like ripping both your cochleas out and dancing is keenly encouraged.".
After letting out a sigh of relief, Gab took a deep pull of her second beer.
"Plus, the ladies in attendance will make you want to test whether or not your new age will give you three times the luck in getting a root!".
Gab suddenly started coughing on her drink after that particular endorsement, the timing of which she didn't believe for even one-tenth of a femtosecond was not deliberate!
"Speaking of which…", Amalia started as she stared at her with clear worry.
"That's the reason why we decided to meet up with you earlier than usual.", Elina finished as she was gently patting her black and blue-haired friend on the back.
Just as she was getting over her coughing fit, Gab suddenly felt the urge to cough up blood.
"Your birthday, ", Maria quickly clarified, "not you getting laid on your birthday!".
Not looking at her friend's confused expression, Maria started rummaging around in her decent-sized Kathmandu backpack for something before letting out an "AHA!", confirming that she found what she was looking for.
"An early 21st birthday gift, from us three to you.", Maria said, as she placed a good-sized rectangular box with blue gift wrapping obscuring the contents and a cardboard birthday card with the words "Happy 21st" written in large and colourful text.
Slightly miffed over receiving a gift on Wednesday when her birthday was on Saturday, Gab opened her mouth to question them before Elina beat her to the punch.
"We know that this is a particularly early gift, " she admitted, "but due to its nature, we figured that this is the best time to give it to you.".
Raising her eyebrow slightly over how secretive her friends were acting, Gab first open the premade birthday card, seeing all three of her friend's names written in it before smirking at the three condoms placed  inside, obviously for what Maria will encourage her to pack when going out for a night on the town
As soon as she unwrapped her gift in short order, Gab suddenly let all the air in her lungs out in a sharp exhale.
Lying on the table at the centre of the now torn gift wrapping lay a laminated white box.
She did know what specific model rested with the spotless box, but she knew exactly which specific device was lying in wait for her. One that could very well change her world forever.
All from a line of black text that was inlayed on top of her astonishing present.

Gabriella Wander is just your average lesbian university student with a sad past, who’s nonetheless well adjusted all things considered.

That’s why the reason for her initial reluctance to play the first big VRMMORPG in the world can be boiled to this one sentence;
“How can I experiment with the game’s classes when I can only use one account and class?!!!”.
Little did she know that someone in the game heard her complaints, and cooked up a compromise that will affect the future of the game.

These entries will be random, from various genres and themes. While you will see a lot of Sci-fi and Fantasy here, I will be writing from other genres as well. Not A Book, but read if you want, your comments would help motivate me

In a flowery field, I decided to sit in a quiet and beautiful place. It smelled of splendor romantic, I looked calmly at the paper that was in my hands, I thought of something that could write at that moment, something I could really feel and do to other people, but it's totally hard to do it. It's like a great sentence from a great song:. "I am a poet who did not learn to love!". That's exactly how I feel now, I really don't know how to start writing something I never feel. Love, what is love? Is it to be mere words thrown to the wind?. Is it to be merely endless exchanges of glances, without continuation?. Maybe it's all this, maybe not, I'm actually a mere writer, who never loved and never wrote words of love for someone who ever loved.. Yes, I am a writer who lives trying to cope with various types of experiences, I have written many books, of various who lives trying to cope with various types of experiences, I have written many books, of various kinds of genres, but this will be the most difficult of all.

 - OK google! How to write a romantic book?. 

- Sorry, I didn't understand your question!.

Yes, even Google couldn't give me the simple answer, I will answer it.. I look at the sky and try to find a light, a reflection of love, maybe a divine call.

 -My God I have never wanted to love someone so much in my whole life!.

 I spend hours torturing myself trying to find love in my mind, until then I give up, I really give up, I don't need to love someone to actually write a love book.
 I get up and leave furiously kicking everything I see in front of me, I'm walking in straight directions in total form of avidity and continuative, because I really have to walk this path until I get to my house. 
When I get home I take off my shoes and leave them in front of the door, I walk through the house with my striped socks, walking towards the great home of wisdom, THE KITCHEN.
Yes my dear friends, the kitchen is a divine palace in which if it inhabits a great queen in ascension, its name is known to all and all as THE FOOD, mainly the food from my sweet and loving mother, who makes my homes of thinking awaken, I need to awaken the maieutic of my thoughts to reach a conclusion in which I can break it.

 -Could you write daughter? Said my passionate mother.

 -No, but well that you could tell me their experiences, who knows so I can me to fall in love with his burning and overwhelming passions.

 My mother looks at me rolling her dark brown eyes, she quickly throw her dark wavy hair back, looks directly into my eyes and says:

 -Okay, I'm going to tell you everything that occurred to me in this passionately sad and confused life. My first passion was when I was 12 years old,"oh my 12 years that don't come back anymore". He was 2 years older than me, but the age was not enough to separate us. We met by a total chance of fate, I was on the street waiting for my bus to pass, that's when he approached me and said softly:

-You could lend me 50 cents?

 I looked at him and tried to remember where I saw that face, and that's exactly where I fell in love with every inch of that boy. I quickly handed over the 50 cents and asked what was his illustrious name and age, he quickly replied to me:

- My name is Kauê, I'm 14 years old.
He quickly got on the bus and left, and I saw his lovely face get out of my way, his lovely voice shut up, I never saw him again, only the pain of leaving, and also the pain of my feet and legs, for I really had to walk to school, because the ticket was R $ 2,50 Real, and I only had R $ 1,50 Real. That was the sad and immeasurable pain of my first love.
I really and literally looked at her without understanding anything at all, I just wrote down every word she said in my notebook, I also wondered why it was so sudden and random.

Wow, I found this story so….

Well that didn't really help me at all, but I think it left a reflection, I should in no way trust the stories (or almost stories) that my mother tells me.. The day has already dawned, I wake up and I stay really and literally, looking at the mere blue wall, watching every flower painted on it, until then an idea arises, I will try to write poems, to see if awakens the romantic "being" in me.I stared at those painted flowers and began to write them in the form of poetry:.

 You.

 You are like a cloud, beautiful, abstract and mysterious. 

You are like a thorn, sharp, painful and full of life.

You are like a hill, lived, solo and unique.

 You are like a wind, alone, complementary and dreadful.
It seems a sad and dark poem right? think that everywhere bad has its good side, is That's exactly what I'd like to do right now.. What is love? Someone for the love of God answers that question!!!

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you all!

Ok, first of all, some character developments have been outlined briefly. And when I say briefly, it's 'not so seriously detailed' description of the characters.

I was having a blast writing the pokemon fanfic that I actually stopped outlining the character developments for a bit. Anyway, back to the character development sh** that lots of readers are looking for when they read a story, I am done with Megumin's, Yunyun's, Eris's, and a bit of Aqua's.

Character development is not my thing (world development is much fun to write), but to not make my characters into a flat and decorative one, I'm gonna put some effort to do it.

For the Worldbuilding side of this story, I have already created 4 dungeons for this(one of which is Keele's) and added some towns here and there.

Note: I'm not writing an Asian drama BS so don't complain about this focusing on the adventure factor of the story. This is a story with an ADVENTURE tag for God's sake! If I added the 'Drama' BS then it would be full of cringy scenes. For those who find this novel to be 'slow' in progress, please scroll back and look at the Auxiliary Chapter that has the title 'Novel's Genres and Tags'. Looking at it, you will find the 'Slice of Life' genre, right? If you don't like these kinds of genres, then please find a novel that would fit your taste. Also, don't vote with power stones if you will regret it afterward. I honestly don't need it now, use it to those novels that, using your own words, 'deserve' it.

About my Pokemon fanfiction,

I'm having so much fun writing it. Around 20 chapters are already made, from 1000-1200 word count(since I don't want it to be too long). And it is, like this one, slowly but surely progressing. Also, as I've stated above, don't read it if you don't like a slice of life novels, it will be a waste of your precious time. I will be posting it, around the time I reach the 100 chapters quota.
