'With most of the pressure being taken on by the black steel Knights, and them being cautious. If a five years old child were to suddenly kill a vicious wolf of such strength, even if as a demon child I doubt it would be anything less than horrifying. Anyways, that should be tantamount, to letting my wild prey lose. Probably it wouldn't take much time before a person dies, ending up as my meal!' Tobi inwardly grumble, he was losing every bit of his sense of rationality.

Once again he was starting to feel something was wrong with him, Tobi was not sure what would happen if he were to fully lose his bit of sense. He gulp down the saliva on his throat, there were many questions on his mind but it appear too chaotic for him to think it properly.

"Well done!" Elijah commented from closeby. At the moment, Elijah looked pale from exhaustion as it seemed the healing of numerous casualties, had taken a toll on his body.

On the other hand, Matthew seemed to be having it easier going up against a metre size vicious wolf, his every attack emitted a faint golden light on the edge of his short cross sword. However, he was still being pushed back, Matthew staggered backward unable to take another hit.

Tobi looked at the pair of brother's in surprised, even though they had known each other for a few months. He didn't really know they had natural inborn ability, except this day. Maybe they forgot to tell him or maybe he didn't really ask, he thought for a moment before he once again redirected his gaze towards the group of vicious wolf pack at the front.

The live clash between a man and wolf continued on for half an hour. The sun slowly set on the horizon, as darkness soon descended upon the golden sand.

The eyes of the vicious wolves were giving off an aquamarine glow. The entire campground had an eerie feel to it, the whole surrounding crowd were filled with light touches of aquamarine orbit eyes.

Tobi gasped for a mouthful of fresh breathe. He looked a bit tired, as if he had been fished out from a pool of sand. His face was still covered with it, but he lacked the time to even wipe it off.

He could feel his strength slowly slipping away, like a jar filled with holes. His body felt heavy, with pale lips and black bags under his eyes. His body felt extremely weak, allowing him to only muster a bit of strength. He felt dehydrated, sluggish and heavily drained at the same time.

Tobi thought it was a good thing, the night had descended. Otherwise, they would have thought he was probably poisoned in the midst of the battle. Even with his bit of strength, it was with some effort he could move around.

'If even I'm like this, there's no need to speak about the others. Only the black steel Knights still have energy to spare, but even they will probably be unable to last much longer. In this situation, if they don't muster all of their strength.'

Tobi glanced over and saw that there was an empty space amidst the casualties at the center of the campsite. A black steel Knight, holding a black long whip stood there silently. Except a few like Tobi, the twins and a couple of other twilight children that were barely hanging on.

'If I was the vicious wolf king, the current situation would be enough to make me charge forth effortlessly. There should be one final siege of attack remaining.'

Tobi pulled backward constantly avoiding battles, at the same time, he took the opportunity to view how his wild prey were faring. Out of three, he had already lost two of them in a battle.

These was the only vicious wolf he was counting on, along the journey. His mental energy could not be easily replenish, except with a good night sleep. Otherwise, he would have tried his hands on more wolves to secure his meal, but he was already running out of time and Mana.

A blood curdling shrill howl loudly resonated, but this time, they seemed to be carrying a differ meaning.

An unceasing howls of wolves covered the air, as they became more frenzied. They charged forward without any regard for their lives.

'It's here, the final wave.' At this moment, he was filled with expectations, in Tobi's eyes it was more or less a blessing in disguise. He was hoping for a miracle to happen. 

"To suddenly become double times bigger and stronger than the rest, these can only be Death wolves!" A black steel Knight shouted to everyone.

At this moment, he was completely sure the black steel Knight wouldn't be able to last much, without using all their hidden cards. 

'If they are not an idiot. They wouldn't think twice, as to finish their battle faster, before exhaustion come knocking, I should also save some strength for my plan.'

Tobi received a bottle from a boy with trembling hands, as he drank a couple of mouthful of water to quench his unbearable thirst.

By drinking water, he managed to conceal the glints in his eyes which were a bit ferocious.

Looking at the battle, The deaths wolves pack would soon break through their unstable defense, and the death toll on the twilight children would instead increase. And no matter how much they wanted to reduce their workload, and how much the black steel Knight wanted hold back, they would have to act.

There were non-stop howling from the king of vicious wolf hidden amidst the death wolf pack, the death wolves pack's were becoming more aggressive with the passage of time. The ones that were now appearing seemed even bigger than the old ones now.

A twilight child had his throat ripped off, the moment the giant death wolves attacked, within the sandy storm his body was lifted up as it disappeared.

"Now, we can't wait any longer. Activate the magical formation!" The black steel Knight of Tobi's alliance group, ordered.

At that moment, the black steel Knights planted six purple and white magic crystals on the ground, as the ground started to lit up. Numerous light dots of purple and white, formed an outline of a sacred geometry symbols with triangle hexagon vector imagery.

At first glance, it only formed an outline but slowly it expanded (160.04fts) and became vivid on the ground. Amidst the sacred formation circles, the six black steel Knights each planted their knights swords on it. Soon, there was an illumination as it began forming thick phantoms of purple and white muscle chain links.

Each thick chains were like tentacles as they slowly slid towards towards a knight sword, within their movement they emitted clinking rustles as they coiled around different swords. Forcefully pulling the swords of the ground, as they swung them in the air before forming a battle stance.

With the catchy sacred magical formation activated, it easily made a bloody scene as everyone stare gleefully at the black steel Knights, who were the sole center of attraction before redirecting their attention towards the sacred formation they controlled, in wonder.

All the twilight children expressed their amazement in unison, finally they had seen a glimmer of hope. Out of their situation.

With the sacred formation, it served as both offense and defense fortress. The formation stood at the front line, while the black steel Knights sat legs cross behind it. Amidst the battle various vicious wolves were hack to death, despite their large horde swamping forward.

But with the increase in death wolves, a vicious wolf had managed to slip through a gap when a death was stabbed, and charge into the crowd of Twilight children.

"Somebody, Saveeee meee!"

"I don't want to die yet!"

There were sounds of various cries and screams, as it resounded through the air and the camp quarter turned into an utter chaos.

A heavily injured Star Dusklight Wolf charged through the forest with a strange bundle hanging from its mouth. The Star Dusklight Wolf's eyes were red with pain as its joints creaked with each step taken. Normally, it would have stopped to rest and heal, but it did not dare slack off. Its pursuers weren't far behind. It had managed to throw them off, but they would surely catch up if he wasted too much time.
So, with determined eyes that disregarded its own life, the Star Dusklight Wolf continued its charge through the forest.
Thankfully, the Star Dusklight Wolf eventually found its way to the clearing it used to call home. It sensed something wrong as it weakly jogged through the clearing to the cave at the center. However, maybe because of its injuries, the Star Dusklight Wolf could not think clearly. The only clear thought in its mind was getting the bundle in its mouth to safety.
"Rrraff!!!"
The Star Dusklight Wolf froze when another Star Dusklight Wolf charged out of the cave and sent a warning bark its way. Normally, the intruding Star Dusklight Wolf would have dropped the bundle and assumed a defensive stance. This time, however, it gently dropped the bundle on the ground, then let out a weak howl and collapsed to the ground.
The defending Star Dusklight Wolf was naturally Midnight. Her wariness quickly gave way to concern when she recognized the Star Dusklight Wolf's scent. That was Twilight! A deluge of old memories suddenly rushed past. Midnight and Twilight grew up as part of the same wild pack. Only, when they were three years old, their entire pack was killed in a hostile takeover. They were then saved by a soul trainer who took Twilight as his soul pet.

Many years had passed since then and Midnight had already assumed Twilight had passed, but then both he and the trainer returned three years ago. 
Twilight had much more freedom than most contracted soul monsters, and so was allowed to visit Midnight whenever he wanted. One thing led to another, and the two old friends blossomed into lovers which consummated in the birth of an extremely rare monarch-ranked Star Dusklight Wolf cub.
Unfortunately, the humans somehow learned about the future Emperor, and thus undertook a great operation to steal the cub.
Thud!
Twilight's sudden collapse snapped Midnight out of her reverie. She hurried over, and her eyes wavered with worry when she saw Twilight's heavy injury. She knew he didn't have long. Midnight was about to move Twilight when her gaze accidentally traveled to the bundle on the ground.
Twilight had risked life and limb to deliver this bundle to Midnight. Even when they met, rather than say anything, he dropped the bundle, signaling he wanted her to take it. That action proved how highly Twilight regarded whatever was wrapped in the bundle.
Midnight hesitated, but eventually, curiosity won over her urgency. She nudged the bundle with her paw, and the cloth unraveled a little to reveal a bloodied child. Midnight's breath caught in her throat when she saw the heavy gashes and bite marks on the baby's face and arms. Clearly, something had tried its best to kill the child. In fact, Midnight estimated it would die from blood loss in the next few minutes.
Midnight's eyes gleamed with a strange light as it looked at the child and then at Twilight. Both Twilight and the child were in critical condition. Six months ago, she would have been forced to pick between both of them. However, she knew that if she saved Twilight, he would probably hate himself for eternity. The fact that Twilight ran this far and still offered the kid up to be saved first was clear proof that he valued the child's life above his own.
Thankfully, Midnight was spared this choice. Six months ago, she mastered a new skill during her evolution. Aura spread around Midnight as she swiftly enacted her secret technique.
Fshhh...
Dark smoke seeped out of Midnight's pores and was then absorbed by her shadow. Suddenly, the shadow split off from her feet, and then rose to form a smoky, mirror clone. Midnight ordered the shadow clone to take the bundle and run into the cave, while she bit into the nape of Twilight's neck and then gently dragged him into her cave.
The task would have been so much easier if Midnight called the Steelback Apes for help. Unfortunately, healing Twilight involved her deepest, most sacred secret. She did not share this secret with her fellow Dusklight Wolves, let alone soul monsters from other species. If the secret got out, let alone the Steelback Apes, even the amicable fairies would begin a slaughter for sole possession.
Thus, Midnight gently dragged Twilight through a deep network of maze-like tunnels, until they were so far down that no light seeped through. It was so dark that even a monster with night-vision could not see a feet ahead. At this point, Midnight relied on her instincts to guide her through the pitch-black tunnels.
Then, just when Midnight was roughly 300 meters below the surface, small patches of light once again began to seep through the darkness. Midnight hurried her footsteps until she reached a wall with a small hole through it. A small boulder, which usually covered this hole lay just beside the opening, confirming that her clone had already been here.
Relieved, Midnight squeezed through the tunnel with Twilight, and then emerged in a magnificent cavern. Shiny, green luminescent stalactites hung overhead, bathing the beautiful lake below with their light.
The lake, while wide, was surprisingly shallow. Even at the center, it was only about 2-meters deep. Midnight dragged Twilight to a point where the water reached her jaw, let him go, and then watched as he submerged beneath the surface.
Midnight then retreated to the edge of the lake and began counting down in her mind. Sure enough, a few seconds later, a spluttering and coughing Twilight shot to the surface. Shockingly, other than the most grievous injuries, his injuries healed and scabbed over at a rate visible to the human eye.
Even the most grievous injuries, at the rate they were healing, would be completely fine in a matter of hours.
"Rrwuuu..." Midnight let out a relieved cry and then sat down as she observed Twilight. This lake was the reason she could not allow anyone to help her save Twilight.
If the humans saw this lake, their eyes would pop out of their sockets. The Eternal Spring Wine Taylor Wu used to heal his soul was a concoction made from diluting water from the exceedingly rare resource, Eternal Spring Lake with a few herbs to lessen its toxicity.
The Eternal Spring Wine could heal even the most grievous injuries to the soul and body, making it one of the most expensive and exclusive items in the entire continent. Bloodbaths and rivers of blood accompanied the discovery of any new Eternal Spring as it was a resource that turned the lowest commoner into the richest overlord in the blink of an eye.
That's right. The small lake Twilight was submerged in was an Eternal Spring Lake. This lake played no small role in Midnight's evolutions to the monarch rank. No matter how dangerous the fight, as long as she had breath in her afterward, Midnight could return here and heal up after a brief bath. This insurance allowed her to fearlessly challenge her limits during battle and training, eventually pushing her to the esteemed Monarch rank.
Of course, unlike Midnight, humans could not bathe in the Eternal Spring. As they say, too much of anything is bad for the body. For humans, the Eternal Spring's healing properties were too potent, which then resulted in a negative backlash in the body. This was why humans needed to dilute the spring's waters before use. Direct consumption surpassing a few drops was very toxic!

Midnight suddenly did a double-take when she realized she had forgotten something extremely important! The baby her shadow carried! She quickly looked to the side and saw the shadow sitting over a floating, soaking wet bundle. Midnight linked with the shadow and suddenly suffered from a headache when she saw the shadow's previous actions.
Midnight only learned the Shadow Clone technique a few months ago. She had not yet perfected the skill, and as a result the shadow only followed the basest of instincts instructed by Midnight.
Midnight had told the shadow to heal the baby with the lake's water. She meant 'put a few drops in its mouth and on its wounds,' but because she was in a hurry and her mind wasn't in the right place, Midnight failed to clearly lay this out.
As a result, the shadow clone indeed took the baby to the lake, but then submerged the baby with her paw till it instinctively gasped for air, causing it to swallow a huge gulp of the spring's waters. If this wasn't bad enough, by submerging the child, the lake's waters also seeped into the open wounds.
Midnight hesitated. Even with all that punishment, the baby wasn't crying. Did that mean?
With tepid steps, Midnight walked over to the bundle and then peered down.
"Ak-ga-gha!"
Surprisingly, not only was the child fine, but its eyes lit up with excitement when it saw Midnight. It grinned, revealing its beautiful baby whites and then raised its arms as if summoning Midnight. Intriguingly, a small jade ring was wrapped around its left ring finger, but as soul monsters could not access spatial rings, Midnight chose to ignore it.
Midnight bent her head, and sure enough, the child grabbed her nose and laughed as it rubbed her nozzle. 'It's not afraid of me?' Midnight carefully examined the child. It had dark-chocolate skin, and a pair of very light, gray eyes like an evening sky. From its size, she estimated it should be about 2 years-old.
"Ah-choo!"
Midnight stared at the child that rubbed its red nose with a distracted expression. Hilariously, the child seemed annoyed by the snot coming out of its nose. It vigorously rubbed its nose and then once more raised its hand to rub Midnight's fur.
Of course, Midnight was not having that snot-covered hand touch her fur. She quickly retreated and then had her shadow clone gently undress the child with its teeth. The Star Dusklight Wolf knew that children were susceptible to the cold, and to prevent further snotty episodes, proceeded to quickly get the wet clothes of the child.
'A boy.'
Midnight confirmed the child's gender, but her eyes were drawn to a pair of cute fluffy fox-like ears that peaked out of the child's head. The clothes wrapped around its head had previously covered these ears, but when she saw it, Midnight's eyes finally flashed with understanding.
The Eternal Spring Lake was toxic to humans, yes, but it wasn't to soul monsters. This child was half-beastman. The beast genes in its body might not be that strong, but it was luckily enough to process most of the Eternal Spring Lake's waters, greatly reducing the toxins that formed.
The beastman blood was the only reason this child was still alive.
Midnight stared curiously at the child. Was it lucky, or unlucky to have been born a beastman?
Splash!
Midnight turned around and her eyes lit up when she saw Twilight stumble out of the lake. His eyes likewise lit up when he saw her, but there was an undeniable deep sorrow and self-loathing buried behind the relief.
Twilight let out a soft howl and then limped over to Midnight. Her eyes watered when she saw Twilight's limp. Even with the Eternal Spring's waters, his injury was too deep. Most likely, he would never fully heal. His fighting days were over. Still, Twilight's proud eyes did not permit any pity or help as he stood before her.
"Rruuwuu..." Midnight whimpered sadly as she licked Twilight's broken leg.
"Rraff!" Twilight sharply barked, causing her to retreat. He did not regret his decision. He would have happily sacrificed all his legs as long as he delivered Rao Wu to safety. The proud wolf then staggered over to Rao Wu's side. Its eyes were filled with solid determination as it looked at the child.
Midnight's eyes watered as she looked at Twilight's back. The Twilight in her memories was always immature and playful. He never took anything seriously and often landed himself in messes that she needed to clean up. Even after he returned, although he had matured with age, his mischievous and playful nature never left.
However, when she looked at Twilight's back right now, Midnight saw a raging inferno barely held back by the thinnest of walls. There was no joy or happiness in his eyes, only a solid determination. Fearing that she might lose the Twilight she knew forever, Midnight walked over and nudged him with her head. She gently licked his fur and nestled her head in his chest in attempts to placate him.
Twilight was not made of stone. Even though he was immeasurably enraged, he could not take it out on the innocent Midnight. Hell, he hadn't even thanked her for saving their lives yet.
"Rrrwuu..." The anger in Twilight's eyes mellowed and he gently nudged Midnight. He apologized for his rage and thanked her for saving them. He then revealed the truth about his appearance. His trainer and closest friend, Rao Taylor had been killed. Sensing his death, Rao Taylor sent Midnight to flee with his wife Hua Xun and their child, Rao Wu.
"Grrr..." Twilight's eyes were red with determination as he revealed he planned on raising the child like a cub. He would not leave Rao Wu's side until he was old enough to protect himself.
"Rrrwu." Midnight was concerned. Raising a human child was not easy. Any wrong move and the child, or perhaps even they would be in danger. She wanted Twilight to rethink his decision. It would be better to drop the child at a human settlement. They were far better equipped to handle raising a child.
"Rraff!" Twilight shot down that idea. He had seen how humans treated beastkin. Sending a defenseless Rao Wu to a human settlement was no different from delivering to a mediocre life of servitude at best, or even more likely, an early death. No, it would raise Rao Wu to pursue the path of the strongest soul trainer in existence. Only then could Rao Wu trample on the humans that killed his parents.
Twilight failed in his duty to protect Taylor. He would not fail Taylor's son.
Midnight hesitated but then nodded. She then looked at Rao Wu who had fallen asleep at some point. A human child raised by Star Dusklight Wolves? What kind of future awaited this human?

Zhang Yun then pointed to the Twilight Wolf and said, "Brother Mikoto, see that boss over there? I'll leave it to you!"

Brother Mikoto slowly answered him, "Alright…"

As the katana struck its body, flames sparked. The Twilight Wolf flew unto the ground as it cried painfully, red-colored numbers reaching four digits appeared on its head.

"Heh! You are unable to withstand the power of flames? Then, you have already lost," Brother Mikoto looked at the Twilight Wolf fallen onto the ground. He held the blade with both his hands, and a blazing flame was unleashed from his palm.

"Blazing Sword – Pyre!"

He advanced forward in big steps, and the katana covered with burning flame slashed across the air like a meteor falling from space, and crashed into the Twilight Wolf's body.

The Twilight Wolf rolled over and stood up, opening its bloody jaws, and jumped towards Brother Mikoto's head.

"I say, you have already lost. There is no need to resist…" Brother Mikoto's body suddenly twisted away, and avoided the Twilight Wolf's bite. At the same time, the katana in his hand turned at a weird angle and slammed onto the Twilight Wolf without losing momentum.

   "Rain, Rain, wake the hell up. Our wolves need us. The previous Luna's cubs are in danger!" Winter and I shifted into our form and mind linked Gregarious, Brianna, Jackson and Wolf. They were at the den in a matter ofinutes after I arrived. 
    The Beta and his mate were still intimidated by me and by more of my kind. I howlwd to get the pack together. I mindlunked the past Luna. "Luna, each of my kind will carry a cub in our mouths and take all of you to safety. There is no time to waste let's go!"
    We picked up the cubs and ran further away from the forest fire. All of us ran North bound toward Crater lake. There were helicopters heading opposite us taking loads of water to the forest. Once I smelled that the fire was being put out in a fast manner, I relocated the pack south of table rock. There was a den small enough to fit the previous Luna. I scouted to see if there were any animals still living and thankfully nothing. 
     All of us set the cubs down inside and I started to mark the larger territory. Winter started to scrape her nails into the bark of the trees. I mind linked everyone, " Is everyone OK? Did we miss anyone?" I sniffed the air and no one seemed or be missing. "Rain, I got to head back, Rosy is expecring me soon. I hope you are feeling better?" 
  "Of course Brianna, I will stay for a couple more days with the pack before heading towards Rosy's. She nodded and she was followed back with Gregarious and Jackson.  Wolf stayed behind with me. 
     Once wrote finished bordering my territory. Who am I kidding our territory, he is my mate and Winter's mate. Boy carries a six pack like those grecian gods. "Girl can I have this night with my wolf mate, I think I deserve to mate as well but with my wolf counterpart." 
    "Winter, you go girl, but remember avoid humans, snares, snakes, mountain lions, basically anything that seems dangerous." "Bitch please, this isn't twilight I can kill anything in my path with a snap of my jaw, and have you seen our mate, boy screams of pure wolf testosterone, bye for now."
    I felt like I am in a movie theater watching this all unfold, poor Winter she has been waiting for this her whole life. Now she not only gets to enjoy the company of our mate but our mates wolf. That's when I saw that the wolf counterpart had a big shlong. How in the hell is that shit going to fit us? 
     Winter made a small yelp but then started to get into it. Holy hell. Winter can take the pain. Shit. Well at least this time I don't have to feel shit, I will in the morning. I rolled my eyes.
 


"Aiyo, these equipment are pretty decent."
When Wang Yu took a glance at the attributes of the weapons he snatched over, he couldn't help but compliment them.
After all, they were professional robbers so the items they had on them were naturally not going to be poor.
After making those comments, Wang Yu turned to look at the rest of them.
How could the rest of the Wild Wolf Pack not know what Wang Yu's eyes meant?
Since these fellas dared to rob others, they were naturally not afraid of dying. If Wang Yu was merely going to kill them, they were undoubtedly not afraid of him. However, after seeing what Wang Yu did to Red Wolf and the two others, the rest of them no longer dared to act so arrogantly.
Upon seeing Wang Yu's gaze, the group of them were scared shitless as they hurried back into the safe zones.
One had to admit that these robbers' anti-rob skills were pretty decent.
The transportation point was an absolute safe zone and Sin City was different from Twilight City. In this place, Wang Yu wouldn't be able to command the guards.
Even so, the Wild Wolf Pack's players hiding in the safe zone were staring fearfully at Wang Yu who was standing outside the transportation point. They didn't even dare to take in deep breaths in fear that this mister will somehow be able to break the rules of the game and snatch their equipment even inside the safe zone.
Who could blame them? Anybody who had interacted with Wang Yu would instinctively have this fear that game rules don't apply to Wang Yu.
Wang Yu wasn't surprised to see the group of them hiding in the safe zone. He would be more surprised if they still dared to go head to head against him after this incident.
"Haha!"
Wang Yu sneered coldly when he saw the group of players staring fearfully at him in the safe zone. He took one last meaningful glance at them before leaving.

The Wild Wolf Pack's players were confused and dazed when they saw Wang Yu walked away.
"He… He is just leaving like that?"
Despite witnessing Wang Yu walked away, the players from Wild Wolf Pack were still worried.
"That's not possible!" Grey Wolf said convincingly, "This fella is exceedingly crafty so he must be planning some kind of ambush nearby. He will definitely try to snatch our equipment!" 
Grey Wolf's voice grew louder as he was clearly trying to conceal the fear in his heart.
"Cough…"
The rest of them were speechless. 
At this point, Red Wolf also saw the chat history as he commented, "Even if he really left, do you really think we'd dare to go out now?"
"Nonsense! Of course not!" Everyone answered.
"Exactly!" Red Wolf said with disgust, "It is highly likely that he knows you will think this way, which is why he is probably on his way to trap the three of us at the resurrection point."
"Tsk!"
Everyone took in a deep breath of cold air as he said, "Creating a diversion? Crafty indeed! What do we do now? Should we go rescue you?"
"Stop spouting nonsense! Why do you want to come here to give that b*stard your equipment?" Red Wolf replied, "Just stay hidden in the safe zone. I don't believe he can trap us here for an entire day!"

Ten minutes later, the airship from Sin City towards Twilight City rose into the air.
On the airship, Wang Yu took one last look at Sin City before handing Shroom Devil King the two daggers which he managed to snatch from Wild Wolf Pack. "These two daggers are pretty decent so it's a gift for you!"
After being killed by Wang Yu's foot, Shroom Devil King was naturally not the happiest person around. When she saw the daggers Wang Yu handed her, she pouted her mouth and said, "Tsk! You killed me once and make me drop all my experience points from my running quests. You really think two broken daggers can make up for it? Do you really think my brain is damaged from your kick?"
This kid was so good with her words. While complaining, she did not forget to make sure Wang Yu felt guilty.
However, after she saw the attributes of the dagger, all the hundred sentences of curses and scoldings were retracted.
As the sister of a wealthy man like Feng Yun Realm, it wasn't as though Shroom Devil King hadn't seen Obsidian grade weapons before. However, it was the first time she witnessed someone giving out Obsidian grade daggers so casually.

"Haha!" Wang Yu smiled faintly, "I'm afraid you won't have the chance to do so anymore."
"Why not?"
Shroom Devil King was dazed.
Wang Yu replied, "Because who knows if Sin City will still be around in the future."

Helix slowly gets up and dusty the dirt of his body.
"Great now my clothes are torn. I need to change."Helix muttered ignoring his brother. A clear sign that he had no plan on explaining himself  to Chris at all.
Chris sighed and breathe in to calm himself down. He couldn't lose his temper at the moment.
"U smell like alcohol and women." Helix commented before chuckling. Chris who could never resist his little brother's chuckles laughed. It was always like this. Chris does something stupid, Helix does something worse.Chris gets angry at Helix then he ends up letting Helix get what he wants.
"It was for work this time." Chris said before flopping down on Helix's bed and Helix did the same thing. This was how the two of them always were. Without a care for the world. Just in their little world where only the two of the mattered. 
It had been this way since they realised that their parents didn't bother with them. Just them two.
"Work? Stop lying through your teeth!" Helix reprimanded. Not believing his brother, not even a little bit. 
"Ok it started out as work. I was sniffing around for magic traces that could lead us to witches...."
"I thought witches use glamour to hide the scent of their magic."
"They do, but ones without a convent don't know about glamour. And I feel like the witch who killed vanguard wasn't from a convent."
"Oh. Then what happened? I am sure it wasn't all work no play."
"Well.....you know one thing led to another and stuff happened."
"If only someone could tell you are a school teacher. Imagine your students finding out about your scandalous life. "
"They won't."
"Yeah yeah." They both burst into laughter.
"So who did you adopt?" Chris asked finally bringing the main focus topic up.
"Jacob.His the boy I brought in."
"He will soon die. Why do such an unnecessary thing?"
"Actually he is almost completely healed?"Helix answered as if what he said wasn't something huge.
"And how did you find out his information?" 
Unlike the rare but actually existing vampires and the dream riders, were dire-wolves could not read peoples minds. That is with only one exception.....
"Wait. Did he?" Chris asked confused. 
"He survived the bite. "
"No fucking way..." Chris, who shocked suddenly burst saying. Surviving the bite was close to impossible for the were-dire wolves themselves leave alone a human. 
There was only one case of a  human being turned into a beta and that was after he was turned into a were-dire wolf. Keep in mind that the human lived during the sixteen century. So it has been a long time such a miracle had happened.
However much the news came as a surprise, Chris felt like there was more to the story than Helix was telling him. A behaviour he was used to. Like for example when Helix began fanging and went through a series of pain. He told absolutely no one and kept it all to himself.  It was until he collapsed from immense pain that Chris found out what he was going through.
Although the process is not that painful for most wolves, it is different for the alphas. Their fangs tend to be unbreakable and with the ability to kill anyone or anything with one bite. This ability is made possible by the venom in their fangs and as the fangs form in the young wolves, the venom also enters their system making the body immune to it. Before the immunity kicks in the pain takes over rendering the little wolf completely powerless.
"Are you sure you are not doing it because of Vanguard?" Chris asked. He had a feeling that Helix's impulse decision might be connected to Vanguard. 
Vanguard wasn't something as impressive as an alpha nor was he a frontline wolf. He was more of a shadow wolf. Shadows were-dire wolves are ones that collect information. This is due to their ability to completely erase their existence and hide inside other peoples shadows. Vanguard however never accepted that he could never become a warrior wolf because he lacked the strength. He always felt like he was destined for more than just a mere spy. 
In a fit of trying to prove himself, the then sixteen sixteen years old Vanguard decided to duel with Helix. The annoyed Helix only scoffed at him and walk right past Vanguard. That was at six in the evening near the river that was in the woods not far away from the mansion.Which was Helix hide away area. Although not all pack members lived in the mansion most of them spent their days there.
Angry that Helix treated him as insignificant Vanguard threw a punch at Helix who easily caught it before breaking Vanguards wrist. Vanguard fell down writhing in pain and the last thing he saw before he passed out from the pain was Helix smirking.
A rather weird way for two wolves to interact and honestly none of them actually interacts this way. But no one could erase the way the two teenage boys actually first took notice of each other. This untimely, awkward and painful encounter set into motion the friendship of two completely different  personalities. 
"Vanguard is another story. Jacob and Vanguard are completely different people."
"So why did you do it?" Chris asked trying to make sense of Helix thought process.
"The weak ones.....they are dying."A pause fill the room as  Chris slowly starts to realise where Helix was going with the conversation.
"Nothing would have happened to him. The pack would obviously protect him...."
"But he is a run away orphan. He has to worry about the cops and also the hunters. And since I am now responsible for him. I want to remove all the obstacles that might hinder his growth."
"If a beta dies you can contract a new one. Why do you care for him and he doesn't even know you yet." As I had previously stated, Chris cares about no one except Helix. And the reason he takes cares of the pack is because he considers it the only thing that their parents truly left for him.
"Twilight. When she left you after you gave her everything, you felt hurt. It was the same thing when mom and dad neglected the both of us. We both felt abandoned with nothing but each other. Everything that the others thought we had and the happy family the painted of us was all a lie. That's how the child feels. I can't just leave him all alone. I can feel his feelings Chris. And they are the same.I just can't do that to him."
"Brother you are only twenty two. How will you raise a teenager. I mean, I am a teacher and I can tell you they are nothing but a bunch of pesky animals."
"I have you to help me."Helix said smiling mischievously at Chris. Chris starred long and hard at Helix.
"Why do you always do this to me?"
"Well you are the one who spoilt me since childhood so blame it on yourself."Helix answered smiling from ear to ear before getting up from the bed,"Oh can you please enroll him into your school. All his papers are included in the file Clerk gave you."
"Wait, you ranted you're self out! You gave Clerk the papers!"Chris exclaimed.
"Well how else was I suppose to get you to help me out. Jacob will wake up soon. So before that, please be ready to welcome your new nephew home."
Helix said as he walked towards the door.
"How bad is it?" Chris asked before Helix left.
"The feeling I felt from the bond were painful. Just like ours."Helix said his face turning serious for a split second.
"You are not leaving me in your room are you?"
"I'm just going out to get ice cream. Can you get the maids to fix it up and get me a new table." With those final words helix disappeared behind the door.
"Spoilt brat." Chris mumbled. 'When she left you after you gave her everything, you felt hurt'. Twilight was still fresh in his memories and what Helix said proved it. Because her name made his emotions tremble with a vigour.Chris hated it. If he could he would erase her completely  from his life. But at the same time he didn't want to.
She was the only living creature that he wanted to kill snd love at the same time.
"You better be worth my brothers care and attention."Chris mumbled as his mind went back to Jacob. He could kill Jacob himself. But he wouldn't . Not now, but when he betrays Helix he would kill him slowly and painfully. Just like all the others that came into Helix's life and left after hurting his feelings. 
Helix unlike what he seems was a fragile creature and the only key to Chris' heart. This is the same reason Helix wouldn't fight for the pack leader seat. Because he cared about Chris. Honestly Chris would have given it to him in a heart beat if he asked for it. He would even use himself as a shield to protect Helix. Twilight was a mistake that would never happen again. A distraction that only distracted him from his original role. Making sure Helix was happy.
