Everyone wants to be praised for their masterpiece of an Internet novel, that's just always how it'll be. To prove my point, I also want a review! Sadly, there has only been one person to review the ancient scripture that is "The Dao of Filler"

To give you a better idea, everyone wants a good review. Nobody wants a review from an angry reader who has only read 30 chapters out of the 200 you published..

There's also the terrible truth that people will give you 5 stars for no reason and 1 star for no reason. The universe works in strange ways...

I'll go over the 3 types of reviews.

Good Review - This is a review that was well thought out and gives criticism on your novel. It's not completely trashing it, but it's definitely not saying it's the next Percy Jackson. [1]

Neutral Review - This review doesn't really give any criticism but more or less talks about their opinion of the story. It's normal to get a lot of these.

Bad Review - This review is not good. It doesn't talk about much of the story, only why they hate it. If your novel blows up, you'll find yourself seeing a lot of these..

As an auth- a young daoist, you must learn to ignore bad reviews and work on improving yourself. Sometimes being shameless will get you nowhere if you don't listen to your faithful readers!

Now, time for examples!

Good Review:

Moddy: Hey I really liked your novel — The Dao of Filler — it gives a brand new perception of the way authors think. However, I would suggest you make the chapters longer! 500 words per chapter? Shameless...

That was a good review! If you don't know who Moddy is, he's a moderator of the Inkstone Discord and one of my friends..

Bad Review:

Moddy: This novel is so trash!!! It doesn't even give any real advice and the way the author thinks is really bad! 0/10 would not read again.

You just read a good review and a bad review. Good reviews are good because they give advice and keep a relatively positive attitude. Bad reviews are bad because they tell you that your novel is horrible but never go into any real detail why.

I hope you learned something from today's chapter! It was pretty easy to write and it's been on my mind for a little while now.

Hey guys, I have recently reviewed some of the review I have received for this book and I have started deleting most of them. I have seen so many four to five star review that has 'Is this Harem' or 'Is this a huge harem', I have deleted them, I appreciate the five star review but I wanted a proper review, one that really talks about the book.
And then I realise there are other who review my books after reading half of chapter one and giving it one star, saying poorly written but not giving any reason to why it was bad, just that it is bad, I don't care if you give it one star, but please give a reason, and at least read more than a one chapter and give it a shot.
I don't know about other people, but when I give a review I at least try to read a few chapters, but if a book has less than five chapter I don't leave a review because I don't have much to criticise.
Please understand that people look at review before they read the book, and if people see that it just says 'It is poorly written' and no explanation they sometime tend to avoid the book, please if you want to leave a review, whether it be one star or five star, at least give the book a read of at least a few chapters rather than just the first chapter, and don't give a five star that just has the word 'Harem' repeated over and over again.

Special mention to one 'dear' reviewer, goldzi, who was extremely unhappy with this novel and left a 1* review with the comment, "plotholes size of planet it not worth to read fk". The first review in a year that I deleted - it had no real content and given after only 8 chapters. I replied, asking where it was before I deleted it.
Said reviewer was clearly unhappy and continued to post 1* review (and once, even a 5* review) each time I deleted it. This went on for about a month with the same content of "reviews sl*t author deletes reviews that not 5 star but leave it emoji bots" every time I delete the review.
In the end, I stopped deleting his review because there was no point anymore. He didn't get what I told him the first time, and he will continue to post until he's satisfied.
Like they say, "Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."
I would like to state here that I do not delete reviews less than 5*. If I did that, the rating would be 5* now, wouldn't it? What goldzi failed to realise is that I only deleted his review as I deemed it a troll review. All I ask is for a fair review. 
My grammar may not be perfect, but it didn't deserve 1*. I update daily and when I can't, I usually replace it with extra chapters and I always give ample warning (rest etc) so it didn't deserve a 1* either. 
A 1* review is unfair.
So why do I let 5* emoji reviews remain?
Simple. It may just be emojis, but it does convey the reader's joy and appreciation of the novel. I don't understand the bot bit though, for it doesn't make sense to me why anyone would do so. It just gives exp that doesn't do anything else! Fast pass is better, right? Exp? Bleh.
Anyway, writing isn't easy and all Authors put our heart and soul into it. If you don't like it, it's fine but to bring a novel down based on your own personal grudge / feelings / that it doesn't fit what you enjoy is just too much.
Be kind to Authors.

COVER doesn't relate to me...

I get a notification of a review saying that I delete bad reviews on the cover page and when I go to my cover page, there were only 12 reviews and this new one didn't show up on that page. I waited around 12 hours to see if it was something about the website that caused this delay but the review still didn't show up on the page so I decided to post that review here and answer a couple of things mentioned there.
And I think it's important to explain to readers before reading this is not a rant about a bad review. It's just a mishap happened and I take the opportunity to explain some staff might stayed too vague in the novel.

This review followed by a 1-star rating but weirdly on my notification screen it shows like one and a half star, so I guess something wrong on the website side but I don't really know what's really happened.

As for my answers for this review:
1. Mc can create and train his own skills and spells. Like sword mastery and later on, he creates the Fire tendril and many other fire spells but since fire magic skill created all fire-related and mana consuming skills stays under that part and I don't specifically mention them as individual spells so I won't dumb too much unnecessary information on a random point of a chapter when I tried to explain something else in that episode. 
Another part of this answer is Arthur only learned about how to use mana a month ago. I don't like fanfic like mc reincarnated to became someone like Goku or Ichigo and in their first day of a new world after 10 minutes of meditation, they learned to how masterfully manipulate the energy type of that verse. Authors of this novel usually set these characters' backgrounds into a normal world  (just like I did ) with no mana, no Qi, no chakra, no reiatsu or reiryoku. After coming to a new world these characters suddenly able to recreate skills they saw in the show without actually knowing how they work.
Like fireball jutsu in Naruto, you do some hand signs and yell fireball jutsu.... and here you mastered a  C-rank Jutsu without knowing the correct pathway of how much chakra should be pushed out of body following 360 chakra coils locating inside of your body.
As for why Arthur did buy the fireball skill for 50 coins instead of trying to recreate a progress he has no idea of, so he might just blow off his arm trying to cast the damn thing. That's why he buys spells from the store. He has no one to teach him like how a master mage like Lolikiano Mistrim reached Han-jihan in the original series.
2, The reason why bloodlines like " Kryptonian" and " Saiyan" are cheaper than this system is because they have limits.
Kryptonians other than superman(Clark Kent) mostly stuck in power levels around < Solar System ( Explained in auxiliary chapter 1) >. Supermans(can reach universal and above) origin depends on the creators writing his comic book. Some say he genetically designed to become the apex specimen of his species by taking the most prominent features of the most prominent people of the Kryptonian race. Some other writers say he is the only naturally born child without any genetic alterations in krypton in thousands of years. So he is relatively purer on the genetics side( like a High Human - High Kryptonian comparison) and the Kryptonians have a whole pantheon full of gods lead by a man named Rao.( The being that gave Arthur his power mentioned how gods limit their creation's power levels so they cant surpass them.)
On Saiyan's side, according to their lore around 10,000 battle power is mostly the peak level of their race. The people like Goku, Vegeta, and Broly are exceptions in this race. On Vegeta's side, he was said to be the greatest genius of their race, and from a young age, he was fighting against warriors of different races that were trying to save their home planet from destructions He improved himself over deadly battles. Lastly, on Broly's side, he is the true apex of the Saiyan race in every aspect he stuck in a world and surrounded with the constant hostile environment that needed him to evolve to survive and he is taught by his father paragus who is shown as one of the more powerful Saiyans in planet vegeta.
What I'm trying to say is just because you get a normal bloodline of these races doesn't mean you can reach the levels of these people., but if you have the gamer ability only thing you have to do is grinding, there is no limits for how many stat points you can get with training unlike, there is no limit to how much knowledge you can obtain and use how many different skills you can have.

If you mean my worries. Those parts what I call plot holes. After creating them, I came back to those problems after like 10 or 15 chapters and fixed them. to me, that's how character and story progression works.
This is a slow progression novel, the main character will keep growing throughout the story. Arthur you read at the start of the novel and Arthur you will read in the final chapter will not be the same person.

Emma wakes up at 6 am takes a shower she gets ready for her day at Cosmos Magazine, she put her contacts that Emily & Alexander got her from the eye doctor's she put them on she did her makeup and Emma decided to wear a pink shade for her lipstick she decided to wear a dress the dress she was saving up when Alfonso has time to have a date but she just forgot she decided to wear it and get it over with, she decided to do her hair half way up and halfway down. When she got done doing her makeup it was 7:30 am Emma turn on her computer and started to work on her review about The Agave Night Club by the time she was typing her Introduction it was 7:50 Emma started to gather her things for work she lock her apartment door and head for the elevator she stop to think should I go knock at Justin's door she decided not because she was going to arrived late at Cosmos Magazine she stop to get her daily cup of coffee at the café across Cosmos.
Emma: I hope that Emily & Alexander are their when I get to work
Emily: Alexander do you think that Emma is coming to work today
Alexander: I hope she does because her review is know due on Thursday Morning  and not on Friday Morning but what Miss. Cardenas does not understand is we are humans and we get sick

I was right next to him drink and dancing I am the mystery woman they are talking in the gossip website I am the one who kissed him first I am the one he order the mojitos for me to review them on my review and I am the mystery woman who he went home with

Waitress: What would you like to drink
Emma: I have a Pink Lemonade, Please
Emily: I have a Ice Tea, Please
Alexander: I have a Coke ,Please

While they wait for their drinks they are looking at the menu, The Waitress comes back with their drinks

But people are persistent with useless things, it seems that they like to torment people's lives, they kept coming back and doing a negative review.

Context: Their Review is about the topic of incest and **** (which did not happen) in my novel.

First: I hate any form of ****, I feel disgusted by this horrible crime, my friend was raped and even today she suffers from it, she can't even speak to me without being afraid.

Because of that event, I gained a lot of hate against rapists and stories about it.

They complain about the MC who was 'coerced' by his mother to have sex with him.

second: If you didn't notice or are too stupid for that, that whole chapter was inspired by chapter 3 or 4 of Grisaia no Kaijou.

In that anime, the same thing happens, and I didn't see people complaining about it, they will just call the MC Badass because he caught a hot woman.

I think that if the MC was a reincarnated with 1000 years of age this would not have happened, after all, I see several fanfic that do this, I have not seen any idiot that gets spam review low in the novels of these authors.

Seriously, I hate stressing about useless things, but it seems that people like to do it just because they think it is 'their right'.
