Harley & Joker wanted a kid, to have as their own, when they found Bruce Wayne had a daughter. Quinn begged Joker to have one with her, but Quinn couldn't have a normal baby... Joker knew... it would have to be a test tube baby... and it made him smile so hideous and huge it was like a wolf growling at his prey. 

He smiled at Harley and nodded his head "OKAY PUDDIN! Lets make a baby! And put a smile on that face!" He started laughing as well as she did as they left to go on with their plans.

Joker later kidnapping one of the most top rated scientists and medical professionals. They started running tests and was able to get an egg from Quinn and sperm cells from Joker. Putting the egg and sperm into a tube and letting it sit there to see if they attach. It did 3 weeks later. 

They were about to make a baby.... they kept the scientist and doctor alive paying them for their troubles and letting them return home... but Joker had a wild card up his sleeve. He got some of banes venom & blood, for his strength... a tissue sample of a brain from the Riddler for his smarts. That was all he needed and wanted. He smiled evil like, he told the scientist to mix all this in with the baby in the tube. To make a modified child to Jokers liking. 

Meanwhile... Quinn was preparing the baby's room with maids. The room was Purple and yellow, representing Joker & Batman.. the floor was carpet and it was red to represent Quinn. 

In the corner was a crib. Along the wall was cabinets and a fridge for baby milk and other baby necessities... 

"What will your child's name be called if its a boy or a girl? The Doctor said. The Joker laughed loudly. "Well doc ! If its a girl.... Darla... if it is a boy... then Zack or Jonathan..."

The Batman's family... 

Bruce Wayne had welcomed his baby girl... Angel Martha Wayne.... Bruce had a daughter with Selina Kyle... or in this case.. Cat Woman. She had a baby with the billionaire dollar play boy Bruce Wayne.. A.K.A Batman. They all lived in Wayne manor along with Alfreds help. 

While having a new child into Bruce's life. He took a small break from Batman and let the police handle the crimes in Gotham City. Unless it was a major crime. But Crime rate has gone quiet... too quiet... but Selina and Bruce took it as a sign to be with their child. 

~23 Years later~ 


The Joker & Quinn had a boy with some super strength with a smart brain. He wasn't super strong but he was able to lift a car for a bit.  He looked like the Joker.... pale white skin, green eyes, red lips... his hair... green and white... it was to his shoulders... his name was Zack. 

He was masculine built. He could lift 500 pounds. He had a six pack of abs and he was trained like an assassin and military man. He was a weapon for his lovely mother and father. 

He wore black pants, green blazer jacket and he carried a bat with nails stuck through the bat. He had scars on his neck and cuts on his body if you look close enough. He was feared by many and No one knew not to mess with the Jokers son. 

~Angel~ 
23 years have gone by and Angel has been put through an intense 6 years of the league of the shadows and 2 years of training with batman and cat woman wether its fighting bad guys or being a bad girl.... Bruce trained her to fight along side him when she was ready and she was... she wore a dark pink and black suit with the batman symbol in black on her chest. She carried a whip like her mother, gadgets like her father.. but what made her, well her... she carried a whistle that if blown can make your enemies nose bleed. She was silent as the night and deadly as a ninja. 

~ a week later~ 

Angel was putting away a few bad guys away until she was shot in the back with a taser gun. She yelled and immediately cut the line and panted. She threw a smoke bomb and jumped onto a balcony. Looking down she saw a man in green and black and soon it clicked when she heard his psychotic laugh. "Guess the Joker wasnt on vacation.. he was busy having a child.."  

"Oh batsy baby... come down here so we can talk..." his eyes glowed in the night as the street light reflecting a wicked grin on his face. 

Batman calling Angel in her ear "abort now!"

"I don't want to attend that fan meeting! I don't want to join the Marvel exhibition! I don't want to participate in the film's promotion! The film is a product of the Hollywood assembly line. My presence won't affect anything. I just want to go home!"
 "I have read your email, Qin Guan, but you need to stay in America until you finish your job! My expected date of delivery is around next February. You are of no help at home right now. Plus, we call each other every day. There is no difference. Okay, I'm busy. I have to go now. Bye!" Qin Guan felt like he had been abandoned in a foreign country. He could only fall asleep by holding Cong Nianwei's photos in his arms. As a father-to-be, he was obsessed with his wife and new baby. Even the bustling American downtown couldn't fill the void in his heart.
 He had been invited to attend the largest comic exhibition in the US as a way to promote "The Dark Knight". Warner Bros. had invested a lot in the movie, with the intention of creating another superhero legend that would make box office history.
 This was the first time Qin Guan was seeing so many characters from American cartoons. Unlike the elegant, fine cartoons in Japan, American comic characters were tougher and more realistic. People had gathered in the exhibition hall from all corners of the nation, wearing all kinds of costumes.
 The average American loved superheroes. One could see DC and Marvel superheroes side by side, staring at each other with hostility.
 There was Iron Man, Spiderman, The Hulk, Batman... Qin Guan was the only guy not wearing a costume or any makeup.
 As a result, he attracted more attention than the others. I should have at least dressed up as a Doraemon. I look really odd now!
 Some people, who had gone there specifically for him, spotted Qin Guan immediately. The girls, who had seen Qin Guan in the film's poster, thought that he was most likely the most handsome villain in film history.
 It was interesting how many humans liked villains. The Batman exhibition was occupied by those girls, who were wearing different costumes and makeup. Their long legs shocked the other introverts in attendance.
The girls rushed over to Qin Guan, screaming, "My love! My Joker! Please take me away! I'll be your slave forever!" Aren't beautiful girls supposed to love superheroes? Costume stores had welcomed plenty of customers that day. As a result, villain costumes had been almost sold out.


Qin Guan was reborn and sent back to his final semester in High School 18 years ago. Getting a second chance at life, he works hard to turn things around and eventually become a Prince Charming. What will his life be like the second time around? What will he have to go through? How will he succeed in turning from a loser into a Prince Charming? Read this story carefully and find out!

Before the story starts, I would like to put some warnings and explain something to you, my readers, to avoid misunderstandings. And I'll try to keep it spoiler free.

First of all, this fanfic is dark, violent, disturbing, and serious in nature. It deals with dark themes such as vengeance, hatred, bullying, violence but also themes such as forgiveness. Therefore, proceed at your own discretion if you still want to read it. However, the fanfic's dark and serious nature is important to the message/moral that the author wants to convey. And readers may need time to reconsider whether they want to read this or not. 

Secondly, the main (villain) antagonist in this story that represents the protagonist's dark side, in form of a split personality. However, the protagonist does not suffer DID and both the protagonist and antagonist are never meant to represent the DID (dissociative identity disorder) community. The antagonist is simply inspired by the Dark Prince of the "Prince of Persia" games. Hopefully this may clear any possible misunderstandings.

Last but not least, this fanfic is simply an alternate, new take to Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man, and related characters. It is inspired by Marvel's "What If...?", DC's "Elseworlds" and "Joker" movie. The fanfic is set in an alternate reality where things from the comic happen differently and/or never happen, such as the "Clone Saga" storyline. (It is not set in any existing Marvel universe, therefore it's a new one.) And some characters are slightly different than their comic counterparts but they still retain certain original traits. 

(I'm aware of how different the characters are in this fanfic. I simply wanted to do a new take on Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man, and related characters. For that, I would like to apologize if I offend you, my readers and Spider-Man/Scarlet Spider fans. It's okay for you to share your opinions, criticisms on the comment section. For years, a teenage Kaine Parker has hold undealt feelings: anger, hatred, and envy. Those are rooted to bullying, his father Ben Parker, and younger cousin Peter Parker. He cannot accept the harsh reality, forgive and seek forgiveness, and move on from the past. He is trapped with his darkness...until a field trip to Oscorp and a bite from a flawed, aggressive superspider change the teenager's life. His darkness is now alive and begins to influence Kaine's mind. He must face the darkness within and do what he needs to do, or he will succumb to its influence. Now, it's only a matter of time before it's too late...

Since Beast Boy was fine, he tossed him to the side and no longer bothered him.
After he was done healing Beast Boy, the previous members of the Young Justice appeared as well to help.
Aqualad took a look around and frowned.
"Is it true that Batman did all this?"
Lucas shook his head.
"No, I was with him when this happened. It's someone else."
"Do you have any suspects?"
Raven asked.
"Well, the usual troupe would be an evil clone or someone from another multiverse."
Hearing that, Wondergirl chuckled.
"Since when has this become the new normal?"
"We live in a crazy world after all."
Lucas shrugged and shook his head.
"Anyway. Wondergirl, Miss Martian, Static. Stay here for now in case the evil Batman comes back. Aqualad, search underwater. Supergirl and Powergirl, search the skies. Kid Flash, search the perimeter. Raven, see if you can find any traceable clues with your magic."
The group nodded and did their thing.
Lucas also joined in the search but found nothing.
In the end, Lucas went back to Gotham to return to Wayne Manor, hoping that Bruce and the others found some leads.
He didn't teleport over or fly on the way as he simply took a taxi.
There wasn't any particular reason why. He just wanted to do it like that for today.
In a sense, walking and commuting had given him a feeling of normalcy so it was a hobby of him to do so in order to calm himself and relax.
Earlier when he went to Wayne Manor, he also just commuted.
"Where to sir?"
"Wayne Manor."
Lucas looked out the window while resting his chin on his hand.
The driver smiled.
Then, gas started to fill the taxi.
Lucas blinked in surprise and took a look at the driver in front of him.
He saw him suddenly peel the skin off his face, revealing his true appearance.
It was Bruce...but he was...smiling?
And the way his mouth curves into a smile...looked very creepy.
Wait...this situation...am I getting kidnapped!?
Lucas was shocked. This gas was most likely a knockout gas. However, such things were useless to Lucas at all.
But since the culprit had literally sent himself to him, Lucas decided to play along.
Let's see what this guy plans to do…
Like that, Lucas 'fainted' at the back of the taxi.
By the time Lucas 'woke up', he found himself tied up in a dark room.
His hands were tied behind him as he sat on a metal chair.
In front of him was another man similarly tied up.
It was Joker.
The door opened.
A man wearing Batman's cowl appeared. However, his whole appearance was completely different than Batman.
He had these metal spikes covering his eyes and he wore a black suit with lots of belts...like some punk rock emo guy.
He also had this huge disgusting grin on his face that looked a lot like Joker's.
"What is this!? Where am I!? Do you know who I am!?"
Lucas shouted desperately.
However, in his mind, he was laughing.
Hehe, I always wanted to say that line myself!
It was the famous lines of a mob character.
In the system, Lucas was long 'dead'. He died during the invasion of Darkseid.
Afterwards, since Lucas didn't want to make a huge fuss of his return, Bruce simply made a new identity for him.
It was also released in the news at some point.

To the rest of the world, the Lucas Wayne that now exists was a fake one. A normal guy with no powers. Just someone that Bruce is fond of because of his similar appearance to his little brother.
Lucas also didn't show up publicly and used his powers. He either wears a mask or blurs his face all the time.
This fake Bruce probably kidnapped him to lure Bruce out.
The fake Bruce laughed.
"Hahaha. Of course I know who you are."
The grin on his face became wider.
"You're going to be my next pet!"
"Huh?"
He tugged on the chains that he was holding on his hand.
There, Lucas saw something that made his face pale.
Three small figures appeared wearing the Robin suit. The chains were all attached to their collars.
They had pale faces and a huge grin on their mouths.
Upon being pulled, the three of them charged towards Lucas like rabid dogs, only to be pulled back with their leash.
"...What is this?"
"Do you like my pets? Don't worry. Soon, you will also join them~"
"..."
Lucas' face became solemn.
Seeing this, Lucas had enough. He was no longer in the mood to fool around.
However, Lucas wanted to know the fake Batman's plan. If he had some sort of contingency, it would be bad to act now.
In his mind, a couple of scenarios had started to form. He was planning what to do for each of them.
Sitting across him, Joker laughed.
"Hahahahaha! Don't you just love this guy!? He's everything I wanted Batman to be!"
"You're both insane."
"No no no. You see, that's the thing."
The fake Batman shook his head.
"For a long time, I've been losing. Everytime I catch the bad guy, they always escape! Over and over! My life has been stuck on this loop! That's insanity!"
He stretched his hand and grabbed on Joker's head.
"That's why, I decided to stop 'defeating' them...and start 'killing'!"
Suddenly, his other hand blurred. Blood flew out from Joker's neck.
Joker's eyes were wide as he looked at his own blood flowing from his throat in disbelief.
His mouth opened a few times but no sound came out of it.
It only took a few seconds for the light in his eyes to dim.
The Joker was dead.
The fake Batman looked at Joker's corpse and scoffed as he kicked him down.
"At that time I killed my world's Joker, my eyes were finally opened! You see, Joker's body contained toxins that would be released when he dies. The toxins then go to the nearest healthy body...and well, you know how it goes."
Lucas frowned.
What kind of shitty development is this!? Does that mean Joker is, in a sense, an immortal being!?
So in the comics, there was actually this reason why Batman never killed the Joker?
Lucas remembered reading in the past about how Joker supposedly had three names back when Batman became a God as he sat on the Morbius chair.
Does this mean...that Joker was already killed two times back then?
Or maybe this is some sort of plot armor the writers did to explain the various personalities and appearance of Joker in the comics?
Lucas' head hurt just thinking about it.
In any case, he isn't in the comics. This was his reality now.
No matter what the comic writers thought about in the 'real' world, it wasn't always the case here. There was no use thinking about it so much.
Then, Lucas noticed something.
Wait...since Joker's dead now...am I the next in line to become Joker?
"..."
Lucas turned to look at the fake Batman. He was also similarly looking at him, seemingly waiting for his transformation.
...So this was his plan? Corrupt me and turn me against my real brother?
Lucas's face darkened. His head lowered.
He could feel something seeping in his body...it was the toxin in Joker's body.
"Ha…"
A chuckle escaped in his mouth.
"Hahaha…"
Then it became a laugh.
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!"
Lucas lifted his head upwards as he laughed.
The fake Batman also smiled and laughed.
He knew that laugh.
It was the laugh of madness becoming free…!

After dying from his previous life, Lucas finds himself reborn as a baby the next moment.

Wait, you say my older brother is named Bruce?

Ivory and Viper resided in the living room. Viper was spending her free-time watching a movie while Ivory was on her laptop, obsessing over a pair of shoes.
"Viper, look," Ivory turned over the laptop. Viper observed the black cut-out boots. "Aren't they nice?"
"Oh, Ivory, those shoes scream your name," Viper put a hand to her ear. "I can hear them."
The two laughed.
"How did going back to the strip club work out?"
Ivory looked up from her laptop, remembering what Chris told her. "Oh, the man couldn't help me. He told me to not go against Blue."
"That's strange. Well, it looks like we're back to square one."
"Not exactly. See, his name is Chris, and Chris knows something about Blue. He might come back," Ivory smiled quietly, remembering the phone that he gave her.
Viper looked at the time on the television. "I'm going to go to bed."
"Right now? It's only six o'clock. And your favorite show is on: Criminal Minds."
"I'm not feeling good. Besides, I have to clean my room," Viper then left.
Ivory thought about what just happened. Ivory knew that Viper was hiding something. Ivory closed her laptop and took out her first every credit card from her wallet. Blue gave her a blue, shiny, credit card. Ivory had been working hard, and she was happy to start making some money. Ivory didn't want to use her money recklessly.
Ivory heard Red calling her from the hallway, and she followed him into the vast dining room. She guessed it was dinner time. She was content; giant growls ruptured from her stomach. Everyone but Viper was grabbing pizza, talking, laughing, and pouring drinks. Ivory took a seat by the corner and ate her slice of pizza in silence. She heard someone sit next to her, the sudden movement causing a breeze. She glanced to see Spike but said nothing to him.
"Where do you think Viper is?" a maid asked another.
"Who knows, but Harley always tells me that Viper's nothing but trouble," the second one said.
Ivory knew that the one that had just spoken was Harley's maid.
"Maria," Harley called her maid over, and the maid made her way over to Harley.
"Ivory," Spike said, and she faced him, "Where's Viper?"
"She told me that she was going to bed."
"This early?"
Ivory shrugged, "I can't help you, Spike, I just hope that she isn't breaking any rules."
"Why would that be a problem for you?" Spike raised an eyebrow.
"Well, I don't want to get into trouble."
"Viper has free-will. If she gets into trouble, you won't."
Spike then got up to get more pizza. Ivory saw Blue and Hawks talking in the corner, and Ivory could tell that the conversation was serious. Hawks quickly glanced but said nothing as Blue handed him something. Hawks put the item in his pocket.
Ivory felt that Blue and Hawks were gossiping about Viper, but she wasn't too sure.

After a while, the gang members slowly left the room until only a few people were left. Viper eventually showed up, which caught Ivory's attention because she said that she was tired and had to clean her room. Viper really was acting out of character. Viper was able to eat pizza but had to wash all the dishes.
Viper was grunting to herself about all the dishes and was obviously annoyed.
Ivory volunteered to help her but was stopped by Blue.
"Go in the living room," he ordered her, "and stay in there. Hawks and Lucky will be watching you. Where Hawks goes, you follow. Got it?"
"Yes, Boss," Ivory raised an eyebrow but didn't question Blue demand. He'd been extra snippy for the last couple of days, but no one seemed to notice for some strange reason. It was only directed toward Ivory and Viper, really.
"And Viper, I want those dishes done in ten minutes, so hurry up! Quit complaining. You're lucky I even feed you!" Ivory heard Blue bark at Viper. Ivory jumped in fright at the booming voice.
Ivory saw Hawks and Lucky sitting by the couch, with cigarettes, a couple of wine glasses, and a red wine bottle. She sat toward the corner, hoping that they didn't speak to her.
"Ivory," Hawks grinned ear to ear like the Cheshire cat. He took her arm and pulled her over. He picked her up and sat her by the couch's end crease, trapping her between Lucky and him.
"Why do you always do that whenever I sit on the couch?"
"Does it annoy you?"
"No, Hawks, it doesn't," she replied sarcastically. "I love it."
"Don't be sarcastic, dear," he took a puff from his cigarette. Ivory covered her nose with her hand. "I do it because you hate it."
"And it's easy to pick you up, the other girls are taller," Lucky chimed in. "And stop covering your face, all you have are two holes for that excuse of a nose."
Hawks burst out laughing as Ivory blushed. Lucky followed Hawks' lead as the dark-haired-boy poked the tip of her nose. She swatted his hand away as if he were a fly.
"It isn't my fault that my nose is small," Ivory defended herself.
"I never said it was," Lucky peered into the kitchen, seeing Viper rush to get everything done. "Look, Hawks,"
Hawks turned to look into the kitchen. "She's been productive," he turned back around, "for once," he took a puff from his cigarette before discarding it.
He and Lucky snickered.
"Making fun of her isn't helping."
"Gosh, Ivory, you're so uptight," Hawks said. "You need something to wind you down a little bit."
"Yes, Hawks, something to calm her down and loosen her up," Lucky picked up a glass and poured wine into it. "Here you are," he placed it into her hands. "Don't drink it too fast, you'll get drunk. It is your first drink."
She stared at him, wide-eyed. "You're no older than me, and you're drinking wine?"
"Whiskey," Hawks corrected.
"Bourbon to be exact," Lucky said.
"Bourbon?"
"Besides, I've done worse," Hawks shrugged.
"Really? Like what?"
"I don't think you're ready for my stories, Ivory. I'm one of Blue's favorites for a reason, Little Lady," Ivory didn't take a liking to Hawks' tone of voice. He also never referred to her nickname.
"Is it just you and Red?"
"Harley and Red and his most trusted," Lucky said.
"Yeah, they seem to know things that others don't."
"That's because they do. I wouldn't trust those two, Ivory. Whatever you tell them goes straight to Blue," Lucky whispered.
Ivory could tell that Lucky disliked Red and Harley.
"So, what would we be considered?"
"His top workers."
"Blue has connections everywhere. His top and most trusted workers —but Viper— stay here," Hawks said. 
"I'm not part of the gang."
"Yes, you are," Hawks said.
"I wasn't at first."
"Your proved yourself trustworthy."
"But how come Viper hasn't?" Ivory asked.
"You really need to stop asking questions," Hawks said, his light eyes slowly glancing into the kitchen as Viper quickly disappeared.
"Hey, Hawks, I got the newest Playboy in the mail today."
"Oh, really? Did you?"
"You know what Playboy is, Little Lady?"
"Yes, I do," Ivory said. "The older boys' at the foster home used to sneak them in and look at them."
The two boys chuckled but said nothing further as they drank and smoked in silence.
After about five minutes, Hawks stood up and looked at Lucky. "I have to go. Remember your job."
Ivory wondered where Hawks was going.                                                    
"I remember, Hawks," Ivory went to follow, Hawks, but Lucky put his arm out, stopping her. "Hold your horses, Little Lady. Where do you think you're going?"                          
"What horses? And if you had ears, then you would have heard Blue from the kitchen earlier, but then again, who really knows what goes on in that small brain of yours?" she insulted.
Hawks turned away, trying not to laugh as Lucky sent her a light glare, but said nothing.
"Move out of the way, Joker," she snarled, "Hawks is in charge, so I'll pretend to be his puppet since that's what he and Blue want."                                          
"About that," Hawks turned to her, after rolling his eyes to her remark, of course, "I have some errands to run, so Lucky's in charge of you until I get back."
Ivory sat back down on the couch, sighed, and crossed her arms. "Why does he have to watch me?"                                              
Lucky looked at aghast like she offended him.
Hawks turned to face her. "Because I said so."
Lucky smirked. "Yeah, Little Lady, maybe we'll get to know each other a little more."
"Nah, I'm okay."                                                        
Lucky seemed hurt, but he just rolled his eyes as Ivory smirked in victory. Hawks stood there with his usual stoic expression. "Tell me if Ivory behaves, which I'm sure she will,�� Hawks said to Lucky, changing the topic. He turned to Ivory, "Just listen to Lucky. I'll be back at around midnight."                                                                  
Ivory wondered where Hawks was going; he was never out late.
"Bye, Hawks," Lucky dismissed, and Hawks walked downstairs.
Lucky took a seat next to Ivory and picked up a book. Ivory turned away and thought about why Hawks' been extra sneaky lately.                                                                      
"Where's Hawks going?"                                                      
"It doesn't matter"" Lucky said, not looking up from his book.                     
Ivory sighed. She knew that sooner or later, she'd figure out what's going on. That is when an idea hit her. What if Viper had been with Roxie because she was trying to leave the gang? It would make perfect sense since she wanted Ivory to go back to the club with Swindle H — the reason behind that was because Swindle H is sneaky. No one would suspect her. Since Ivory was told by Chris, the man at the club, to not tell anyone of the cellphone he gave her, how exactly did he know that she would come back? But what about when she was injured, and Viper was acting strange?
What if they planned this ordeal all along? Blue must know about it, but it wouldn't make sense as to why he would allow it to occur. Then again, he never liked Viper, to begin with. Swindle H must have caught on and played along — which may be why Viper recommended her. It would also make sense why Swindle visited Ivory in the computer room and willingly took her to the strip club. It all puzzled together.
Ivory knew that Viper would never succeed, but if she did, the Blue Dragons would never fall. The gang had ties everywhere. The Blue Dragons were a mafia gang, they will make sure they stand.
If Ivory as correct, she would be angry. Ivory knew that Viper wouldn't change her mind because Viper was reckless. If Viper said that she was going to do something, she'd do it.
Leech crawled into the blonde's head, and she wondered where he came from and why he was around one time. Ivory didn't trust him, but it seemed that the Blue Dragons felt the same way. Ivory rolled her eyes because no one ever told her the details.
Ivory broke out of her trance and looked at Lucky, who seemed to be reading very slowly. She could have sworn that she saw him try to hold his laughter. Why would he laugh over a romance novel?
"Lucky, why is it taking you forever to finish a page?"
He looked at her. "It isn't."
"Yes, it is," Ivory eyed him suspiciously and stood up. "Give me the book."
Lucky stood up and held the book high in the air. Ivory jumped up, trying her best to reach it, but Lucky being around six feet tall didn't help.
"Lucky, you're not reading," she accused.      
"Yes, I am. What makes you think otherwise?" He raised a brow.                                        
"You've been on the same page for about five minutes. It takes me about a minute to finish two pages, come one now."                                                                
"Hey, Little Lady, everyone reads at different paces."
"Okay, but you're laughing. Romance isn't funny."
"It's corny," Lucky shrugged, throwing the book onto the couch.                                         
Ivory grabbed the book and saw what he was looking at. Why was she not surprised? "Lucky, really?" she picked up the comic strip that was between the pages. "A comic book?" 
Lucky grabbed it out of her hand. "They're funny."                                                               
"Next time, try to be original with your jokes."                                                          
"Being the Joker is hard," he pouted.             
"Then don't be Joker, be Batman," Ivory said sarcastically. "I mean, it's not like you're funny anyway," she said.                                                   
He rolled his eyes. "I'll need a pair of batwings, which I don't have," He said comedically, ignoring the insult.
Ivory sighed and sat back down.
All of a sudden, Blue walked in, "What's going on here? I can hear you both from the other room."
"Well, I just figured out that Lucky reads comics instead of real books," Ivory said.
"Hey, I do read books. Its comic strip hour, that's all," Lucky sounded insulted.                  
"At ten o'clock at night?" Ivory asked, not impressed. "Wow, no wonder why you're always hyper."                                             
"I have nothing else to do," Again, Lucky ignored her insult.                                                
"You could read a real book."
"Ha — a real book?" Blue scoffed. "Please, we all know that Lucky isn't the smartest person on base."                  
"...Hey!"
"Besides, you could recommend books to him. You know that I have a... wide selection to choose from," Blue smirked.
Blue knew that Ivory was in the library.
Ivory narrowed her eyes, wondering if Blue was in the library, or if Hawks was. Maybe Hawks happened to bump into her, but if that were the case, why was he in the basement? Perhaps Hawks was searching for something.                     
"Comic strips are way cooler," Lucky argued back, missing Blue's condescending remark.                                                                                                                         
Ivory leaned back on the couch and sighed. Arguing with Lucky about comic strips wasn't fun; her intuitive psyche warned her that something terrible would happen. Ivory was nervous and had nothing nor the knowledge of what would take place.
That was when a thought came to her. Ivory saw Lucky follow Blue out of the room, proving that he was actually smart while Blue ignored him. Ivory made sure that no one was around or would sneak attack her, and slowly took the phone out of her hoodie pocket. Ivory flipped the phone open and saw a random number, realizing that it was Chris'.
She sent him a quick but urgent message: "Roxie's taking my friend out. I think the two of them are going to tell on the gang," sent.
Ivory wasn't sure that she could trust Chris, but she knew he was her only chance.

Meanwhile, Viper made sure that no one watched her, opened the back door, and snuck out. The young rebel hopped into a car and drove off, not knowing that someone was following her. The person stepped out from the bushes and unlocked their own vehicle. The person was about to get in until they realized that someone was with them.
"Geez, Spike, you scared me," the voice said.
"Sorry, just want to wish you good luck."
The voice let out a sigh. "Thanks."
"You don't seem happy about doing this job," Spike said as the light from the upstairs window hit his face.
"It's not that I'm not happy to do it. It's Ivory —"
"Ivory? What about her?"
"Blue is having me follow Viper because he thinks that she is going to the police."
"The police?"
"Yes. And if those accusations are true, I hope that no one blames Ivory. Blue had Harley spy on them, and he even had Harley spy on Ivory, but Ivory hasn't been doing anything except explore the base."
"Explore the base? Oh, I see."
"Harley doesn't see Ivory as a threat, so Blue isn't worried about her. Blue's purposely keeping Ivory busy. Ivory's smart; I know that she'll eventually figure out what's going on, and if she does, just make sure she doesn't leave. Look, I have to go. Just make sure that she's safe, okay?"
"You got it. I'll make sure nothing happens. Lucky seems to be doing well with that at the moment."
"He's my best friend, but he isn't the strongest. So, if something happens, make sure you're there."
"I catch your drift. Don't worry about Ivory, she's fine. Go — you have a mission to complete."
The voice nodded and hopped into his car. He sped off, hot on Viper and Roxie's tail.
The person was curious to know if what Blue assumed about the two was accurate. Roxie hasn't been her cheerful and docile self. The man was ready and couldn't wait to find out the secret Viper, and Roxie kept from everyone. The man knew that what they were conspiring wasn't beneficial. Like Blue, he also had the feeling that it was about the gang, but the man wasn't sure why. Blue sensed that Roxie never liked the connection she had with the group and didn't want the two orphans living a dangerous life. Roxie had her regrets and perhaps didn't wish Viper and Ivory regretting anything. Red added that Roxie's rebellion may be toward Fox.
The man turned the corner and found the familiar car and smiled because the women didn't know that he was touting them; the man was excellent at sneaking around. The man was finally going to find out what Viper and Roxie were hiding. He felt a smirk crawl onto his face; he smelled victory.
The man was like a hawk, indeed.

Since Viper’s bitter fate, the Blue Dragons no longer consider her a threat. First, everything flows smoothly, but things slowly go downhill when coincidental stories and bizarre information are gradually exposed. As Ivory is trusted more and witnesses a realistic mafia lifestyle, an unexpected deed throws everything off-track. When processing the truth, Ivory is one step closer in discovering her captivity. When Ivory faces near death situations, which side will she choose: will she choose Blue and the gang or rebel like her former best friend?

"Name?"
"Jack." 
"Profession?"
"Doctor."
"Doctor…" Charlotte paused. "Doctor of Medicine?"
That was just a trivial question, but Charlotte keenly saw a moment of hesitation on the man's face. "You know, Jack. We will examine your knowledge and capabilities if we accept you. If we find out you lied to us, well…" She grinned. Some things were best left unsaid. 
"I am a Doctor...a Doctor of Greek Literature." 
Charlotte lowered her head in frustration. Without even an order from her, two Security Troopers marched forward and dragged the man away. 
"Ha! Fuck you!" The guy behind Leon was a lot happier than he should be. 
This would otherwise be an amusing scene, but Leon didn't have time for this. His heart was pounding when Charlotte turned to him. 
"Name?"
"Leon."
"Profession? Profession? Wait, is that a hammer?"
Charlotte frowned as Leon took out a small metal hammer from the pockets of his pants. The weapon itself didn't faze Charlotte. She could open a hole in the man's chest with her Defender-C Gauss handgun in two seconds. Then again, she had to admit she was a bit confused. 
"I am not a scientist or anything," Leon said quietly. "But if you take me in, I swear I will give you my life. I will kill anyone you want me to kill. I will do whatever you want. Don't believe it? I'll prove it."
Just like that, he held his left hand out and, with his right hand, brought the hammer down on himself. The hit landed and caused a bone-cracking sound. His left pinkie was shattered. The young man didn't stop as he kept bringing the weapon down on himself. Once. Twice. Soon, his pinkie was no more than a bag of flesh and bone. 
Leon was shaking, but even the excruciating pain couldn't stop him from turning to Charlotte with hope in his eyes. He told himself if this didn't work, he might as well kill himself right here right now. A quick death would be ten times better than being taken back to the Joker. 
Facing the determined look on Leon's twitched face, Charlotte suddenly didn't know what to do. That was when Katherine came in from the side. 
"He'll be a useful one."
"He's determined, I'll give him that." Charlotte frowned. "But he's not that valuable. I mean...he may be a good soldier, but that's it." 
"Commissar, he has lost everything," Katherine argued. "If we give him hope, he will defend us against anyone, anywhere. He can be our eyes and ears among the recruits!" 
When she saw the way Leon acted, how he tortured himself with such determination, Katherine had to admit she saw shadows of herself. They were both so desperate. Both hunted. Both were out of options, and both stumbled upon the path of salvation. 
This Leon guy would be a good disciple to help Caity save this world.   
Charlotte nodded. What Katherine said made sense, and one more person shouldn't be too much problem with Lord Apollo.
"You're admitted." She said to Leon and turned to a Security Trooper, who escorted Leon away for further processing, as well as some medical treatment. 
"Oh no…" Watching Leon leave, the three York Troopers turned to each other in fear. "The Joker is not going to like this…" One of them whispered with a trembling voice.
"It's not our fault! We can't disobey Lord Apollo's orders!"
"You think the Joker will care?"
After a brief exchange, the three still had no choice but to report back. Yes. They could try to leave Camp York, but by themselves, they didn't stand a chance in the wild. Their only chance was to go back to the Joker and ask for forgiveness. 
The three York Troopers moved quickly. In a few minutes, they were in front of a mansion. The mansion was much smaller than Apollo's Sun Throne, but it still stood a titan among most of the shelters in Camp York. It was already getting dark, but at the gate, instead of lamps, there were skulls. 
Human skulls. 
Each with a green light lit above the bones.
The Troopers glanced at each other again before walking past the door. In a few minutes, they were standing in front of a man in pitch black clothes and pants. The man was in his forties, and a smug smile was on his face. 
The Joker. In an age where you could be anyone you wanted, he chose the name of a comic book villain from decades ago.
"I don't see my boy with you." The Joker said quietly, not even glancing at the three Troopers. 
The three Troopers looked at each other before one of them took a step forward. 
"Sir, we are sorry. Leon ran into an area that belonged to another faction under the orders of Apollo himself. There was nothing we could do! That faction took Leon away! We..."
"Silence!" 
With that single word, the Trooper was dead silent, not because he stopped talking or anything. No. His lips were moving, but he wasn't making a sound. After a few seconds, he stopped this meaningless effort. 
"The faction from Fortress Alpha. Yes. I know about them. I quite enjoy their food, in fact." The Joker tapped his chin. He had his informants in the camp as well. Caity met with Apollo, and they seemed to be on fine terms. The Joker would be a fool to charge into the mess like a raging bull and potentially get himself muddied. 
As of the moment, there was nothing he could do, at least not to the Phasewalkers. 
These three Troopers, on the other hand…
"You know, out of all the victims, people like Leon are the rarest…" He hissed with a low voice, as if he was a vicious viper lurking in the shadows. "the broken ones, the ones that have given up all hope, they are useless. Boring. You can kill them slowly and all they will do is scream." 
"But the stronger ones, the ones like Leon, they will fight. They will run and when that fails, they will beg. They love life and they will cling onto it with their last dying breath!" The Joker exclaimed. "That's what makes it so thrilling to take it away!"
"And because of your incompetence, I have lost the pleasure of killing one of them!" 
The three troopers exchanged terrified looks. They knew what the Joker was capable of. They have seen him turn dozens of people, men and women, into atrocities even their parents couldn't recognize. That was when the Joker changed his tone. 
"Of course, even I can't challenge Apollo, so you three don't really stand a chance." 
The three troopers took a breath of relief. 
"And for that reason, I'll let one of you live." 
The room was silent for a moment as the three troopers were struck still in disbelief. What? Why? They have done everything for the Joker and this was their reward? They wanted to argue, but no matter how hard they tried, no voice came out. 
Suddenly, one of the Troopers pulled out his sidearm and shot his two comrades in the back. One of them immediately fell dead. The other collapsed with a mortal injury. 
The Joker let go of his spell. 
"You...bastard…" The fallen trooper groaned in pain. He couldn't believe the man who was visiting a brothel with him yesterday would turn on him just like this. Then again, he should know better. 
The third Trooper turned back to the Joker and saluted. His face was blank. He was victorious, but he was far from thrilled. 
And then the Joker said one world. 
"Decimate." 
The third Trooper exploded into a puff of bloody smoke. 
"I said one of you could live. I never said you get to do the choosing for me." The sadistic Tier 2 Mutant stretched his arms and took in a deep breath. "I love the smell of dead bodies in the morning. Well, evening. Anyways, you get the point." He waved his hand, and another Trooper walked over. 
"Take him away for some medical treatment." 
"Yes sir."
That trooper started carrying the one wounded by the gunshot away. They were halfway out of the door when a voice called out from behind. 
"Incinerate." 
Just like that, the last of the three troopers was engulfed by a ball of flames. 
"What can I say? I just changed my mind." Behind him, the Joker shrugged. 
If Apollo was sadistic + sly, then the Joker was just pure sadistic. Even before the apocalypse, he was a frequent visitor to dark web torture videos. The apocalypse was like a blessing for him. Whereas in the past he couldn't turn his dirty imaginations into reality because of the law and the Government...things were a bit different when the world order crumbled. 
And when he realized he had superpowers, well, let's just say things keep on getting better and better.

Meanwhile, across Camp York, in an area designated to the Phasewalkers, Caity didn't know Charlotte accidentally caused the sudden and gruesome death of three not-so-innocent York Troopers. She was having a completely different issue on her hands. 
After the meeting with Apollo, most of the Phasewalkers had an opportunity to take a break and enjoy some free time. They have come a long way, after all. Most of the Security Troopers decided to take a break inside the living quarters. Camp York wasn't exactly the best place for a vacation. Anyone who had a different idea would change their mind by the smell alone. 
One Security Trooper had something different in mind. While the others rested, he decided it was a good idea to go out, go to one of the girls on the streets with exotic clothing, and pay a can of rations for some sexy time. 
That didn't go unnoticed, and Caity wasn't exactly happy. 
"Ok...let's ignore things like STD for a moment. Let's also ignore how dangerous it is to let your guard down in an environment like this one. You do understand how what you did was taking advantage of women, right?" 
"Well, sir, if anything, I think the women were gladly taken advantage of. I mean...they were practically fighting for me!" 
The Security Trooper, a guy named Patrick, was known to be quite sexually active. He even befriended a medic back in Fortress Alpha. It seemed like a few days away had him aggravated, and thus all this mess. 
"Literally!" Patrick kept on defending himself. "They were more than happy to do what they did for my rations!"
"That is ridiculous." Caity Hunter declared. "Just because these fools at Camp York are doing this doesn't mean you should do this too! You're better than this! We have something called order in our camps! What you did was so inappropriate!" 
"Fine! Even so, you didn't need to make such a fuss about this!" Patrick retaliated the chastises of his commander. "You literally had two people drag me out of my room! While I was in the middle of sex! That is embarrassing! The whole settlement will know what I did by now!"  
"You know what's more embarrassing? Going to a prostitute because you can't keep it in your pants!" 
"With all due respect, sir, you are not a guy! You don't understand what guys go through!" 
"That's it!" Caity slammed her hand on the table. "Get out of here! And if I ever hear about you doing something like this again, I will have you moved to the 5th Motorized Battalion the moment we get back to Fortress Alpha." 
From Security Trooper to Assault Trooper. That was a huge demotion. 
Patrick stood up with fury in his eyes. He turned around and dashed out of the door without even the most basic salutes. 
When he was gone, Caity sat back down. The angered look on her face nowhere to be seen. 
"The bait is all set. Let's just hope someone bites it or I would feel really, really stupid."
