After summarizing the Absolute Choices that had appeared up to now, Shi Xiaobai had a general idea that there were temporarily three kinds of Absolute Choices.
The first kind of was the unpredictable choice back when he rescued Little Fatso. This kind of Absolute Choice reflected the choices in Shi Xiaobai's heart. Save, escape or watch by the sidelines. However, after the appearance of the Absolute Choice, Shi Xiaobai had to complete the choice he made to end the repeating mechanism of time.

The malicious choice was considered executory. The stipulation just needed to be executed, and the difficulty wasn't too high, and as such, there was usually no reward to it. However, it was very difficult to choose between the choices provided. The stipulation of each choice would usually cause him to curse out loud, making him rather feel like "choosing death".
These two choices could be said to be extremely toxic poison, and compared to them, the third Absolute Choice was like a bowl of chicken soup.
As if by Heaven's pity, the daily-style choice did not have the mechanism of resetting time. There was only one chance at choosing, hence, there was only success or failure. Shi Xiaobai could not go round the corner or turn his body, but he was quietly waiting. He did not know what he was waiting for either. Perhaps, he was waiting for the disappearance of the last strand of laziness in his heart?
At this moment, on the other end of the corner, a panting voice shouted.

As the fragmented memories of Jacobs of this world ended. Then another voice starts resounding in Jacobs mind which seems to awaken him from his daze...

"Host the dimension travel between two dimensions has successfully ended. Host have traveled between two dimensions from earth to a parallel world via a world node.
" Congratulations Host" for safely travelling between dimensions and coming here alive and kicking.
For the merit of staying alive Host have now gained a gift box which will determine the main type of host"s system."

Then an image of a gift box is seen by Jacobs that's stably placed in his mind. After he saw the gift box placed in his mind. He doesn't know how he should put all these things together .
Dimension travel, memories of another world, appeared in another body, the voice of a system that echoed in his mind and now this a big gift box appeared in his mind space.

"What the hell every thing that happened, was it real?" Jacob's felt shocked by the shear amount of things that happened to him in a single day. The worst of it was it all happened on his coming of age ceremony. It was totally a day full of shock and trilling fractions of life for him.

He stabilized his memories and feeling that were all around the place. Those feelings and memories were all making him more dazed. After he stabilized himself, then comes the major choice for him whether he should open the gift box or not. The choice that he have to make whether he like it or not.
 
"What bad thing can happened to me now, all thing that i have faced what greater damn luck can i have now." thinks Jacobs.
"Let's give it it a try i have nothing else to do, and no chance to go back home".

Gift box opening.....Ding....Ding.....Gift box opened. Now a suitable system is being selected according to host's qualifications.

"The Choice System what the heck is this" Jacobs murmured to himself. The system that works on the choice's that the host makes throughout. The choice system can provide an absolute advantage to host, until the choice's the host make are not restricted by the nature's law, replied the voice.

Ding Ding .... continuous bell sound rings in Jacobs mind and the voice continue to provide details about various things.

"Host has now activated the choice system". Now host can make choices on which path he should follow. The first choice of the host is already in play, the path of Demon king. Now the Host is given a new choice, the choice which can determine the Host's future prospects in the land of the white raven. As a demon king which path would you like to follow.....

Choice (A) The path of slaughter.
This path is the true path of the demon king the path which leads to destruction and slaughter along the whole continent.
Choice (B) The path of conscience.
 This path is the true path of humanity the path which leads to destruction and slaughter along the whole continent. But this destruction and slaughter is only for those who are willed against the king.

"Now host it's time that you should make your choice. You have 1 minute to make your choice, if host fails to make a choice then you would be burned to death after 1 minute passes. Your time starts now..

"Damn this system, i barely survive that horrible disaster of dimension travel. Now this system is again playing with my life as a bet. Both of these choices are so damn annoying The choice (A) the path of slaughter, the true path of a demon king what the hell is all this about. I choose this path of Demon king thinking it was cool and classy. Now this damn system want me to kill and slaughter. I can't even take the smell of blood".
"And that another choice this damn system provided for me Choice (B) the path of conscience, what the hell is the use of conscience if you only know how to kill just because of a little bit of mistake. This system only knows slaughter this and slaughter that and now by giving me these two choices it simply wants to slaughter me".murmured Jacobs.

"Only 30 seconds are left" The system beeps.

"Only 20 seconds are left" The system beeps.

"Only 10 seconds are left" The system beeps.

"Only 5 seconds are left" The system beeps.

"Damn this system". I don't want to follow these choices I will make my own choice, now just kill me" Jacobs roared.

Ding Host has made a choice.

"The host own path, the path that was never threaded a path of harmony, friendship, kinship and at last when nothing works then the art of killing. For making a choice of your own host has gained 100 currency points which can be used to exchange items on the Store section".

"What the hell it can be like this too. I will go mad from this system in the future if it continues to torture me like this".

"Host has misjudged my intention, it's just that for pressuring host to make a perfect choice a stimulant was required, and according to me threat to someone's life is the best stimulant". The system replied.

"If Host want it to never happen something like this in the future, then host is required to upgrade the system. The up-gradation of system requires 1000 ability points which can be obtained by completing missions.
There are 3 types of missions.

Main mission - The main mission is that mission which is required to be completed from the support of other missions.

Normal mission - The mission which support the Host in the process of completing the main mission. These missions are required to be completed in a certain period of time.

Side mission - The mission which is generated because of the path Host have taken, it changes accordingly. These missions can also be considered as bonus mission

The main mission of the choice system is to return back to the original plane of earth and bring the tribe back to the human civilization. This mission is issue because of the Host's desire to take his tribe back to the human civilization away from the snowy glacier of absolute cold.

"The mission entitles the leveling up of host to the Fifth level of body development within a month time from First level of body development.
The reward for the completion of this mission is 1000 currency point and the Dragon Metamorphosis manual, an A grade body metamorphosis technique.
The punishment of failing to complete this mission is to lose the current 100 currency point along with a random body part".

Now it's started again, every time this system speak there is only disaster waiting for me. Now where should i get a body development art which can help me reach Fifth level in a month. I was such a useless bum before, if i go and ask father i don't know what will be his reaction.

Xu Jing pointed at the corpses and said, "The Heaven Choice Temple's Discipline Hall's First Seat, Kong Liao, and the Scripture Hall's First Seat, Kong Jian. Eight Attendants of the Supervision Court and the Twelve Temple Seats. They were all killed by the Temple of Great Emptiness' Four Divine Monks."
There were not many corpses that were brought into the hall, and yet, Xu Jing listed so many names. When he spoke, his expression was calm as though he was already used to dealing with deaths.
"The Temple of Great Emptiness and the Heaven Choice Temple are of the same line. Why would the Temple of Great Emptiness kill members of its own?" Lu Zhou asked.
"It's a long story…" Xu Jing slowly said, "Ever since Grandmaster Kong Xuan of the Temple of Great Emptiness emerged from his cultivation in seclusion, the Temple of Great Emptiness has changed their attitude in regard to the world's affairs. They prided themselves on converting the masses and bringing salvation to all. The Heaven Choice Temple and the Temple of Great Emptiness have never intervened in each other's affairs, but…" He paused for a moment before continuing, "The Temple of Great Emptiness is convinced that I was the one who killed Kong Xuan."
Lu Zhou listened to his story while he stroked his beard. The memories of the incident at Runan's holy altar was still fresh in his mind. However, he did not expect it would spark conflict between the Temple of Great Emptiness and the Heaven Choice Temple.
"They wouldn't believe me no matter what I said… On top of that, there were many Noble Path cultivators at the holy altar who witnessed it. The Temple of Great Emptiness is using this as an excuse to go against us… This Heaven Choice Temple is no longer what it once was. How can we go up against the Four Divine Monks?" Xu Jing said.

He remembered the scene of him being accused by the people of the Noble Path, including those from the Clarity Sect and Righteous Sect. He remembered the scene of the Temple of Great Emptiness's Four Divine Monks mercilessly killing the Heaven Choice Temple's disciples. He remembered the banners hung up everywhere in the city of Jing Province that called for the destruction of the Heaven Choice Temple.
On the contrary, the Evil Sky Pavilion had never done anything bad to the Heaven Choice Temple.
Lu Zhou stroked his beard and said, "Zhu Honggong has stolen the zen tunic from the Heaven Choice Temple. You're not going to hold it against him?"
"If the zen tunic had remained in the Heaven Choice Temple, it would have been taken away by the Temple of Great Emptiness a long time ago… It's fortunate that it's in the benefactor's hands," Xu Jing said.
Zhu Honggong was delighted to hear this. "And I was wondering why I wasn't disrobed…"

The disciples of the Heaven Choice Temple stood stock still. Nobody made a sound.
Xu Jing replied, "I have three reasons. First, the sable magnolia. Second, I know that Kong Xuan was killed by the Evil Sky Pavilion. Third, the zen tunic…" The abbot was not stupid. His mind was clear and logical.
Mingshi Yin resisted the urge to applaud him.
"Well said," Lu Zhou commented.
After a slight pause, he said, "What would you do if the Evil Sky Pavilion chooses to stand on the Temple of Great Emptiness's side?"
Xu Jing was dumbstruck.
The disciples of the temple were shocked. Their eyes widened as they glared at the people from the Evil Sky Pavilion. It was unclear if they were afraid or angry.
Xu Jing fell silent for a moment before heaving a long sigh. He shook his head and said, "If that's the case, I'll become the condemned abbot of the Heaven Choice Temple. I'll repent before Buddha!"
"Master!"
"Abbot!"
The Heaven Choice Temple's disciples in the hall exclaimed in unison.
Lu Zhou stroked his beard and nodded. "Calm down…" he said slowly.
"Old benefactor." Xu Jing was so nervous that his hands were shaking. How could he calm down? He was genuinely afraid that Lu Zhou would side with the Temple of Great Emptiness.
"I like tactful people."
The Heaven Choice Temple was willing to surrender the sable magnolia, the zen tunic, and was even willing to submit to the Evil Sky Pavilion. Lu Zhou definitely would not let such a good opportunity slip through his fingers.

The disciples whose cultivation bases were in the Sense Condensing realm and below were gathered before the Hall of Great Strength.
Xu Jing wore his kasaya, held his staff, prayer beads, and wore his skull cap. He was more dressed up than usual. "Benefactor Ji, this way, please."
Lu Zhou and the Evil Sky Pavilion's disciples took up the offer and entered the Hall of Great Strength.
When the sun was high up in the sky, a flying chariot appeared in the horizons and advanced toward them at an even speed.

The flying chariot was not huge. It was ivory, and there were about 30 monks flanking it.
Before it even reached the Heaven Choice Temple, a domineering voice rang from it. "Xu Jing, aren't you coming out to welcome us?!"

The same doctoral student from before started to speak again. "Doctor Butler, I have read the transcripts. She had every opportunity to escape before that. She was untied for longer periods of time and she even dined with Alicia, if I am not wrong. I don't understand why she wasn't summoned in court!" the female exclaimed. 
"She had the opportunity to escape?" Sebastian asked stunned. "You're shaming the victim. Be careful," he warned. 
"No, I was in my graduate courses at the time and we dissected the case. I believe Victim 4 had a choice. She made the conscious choice to watch those people die. She could have helped them escape, but she chose to run away alone. Contrary to what you are saying, she did not help those victims. She was going to abandon them. It just so happened that she said some words that helped the police track her route."
I couldn't remain silent for long.
"A choice? What choice are you talking about?" I asked. My voice was louder than I anticipated. The room turned to look at me incredulously. They had never heard me talk in this tone. The doctoral student looked pleasantly surprised. A gleam passed through their eye. 
The need to show off. Right, I was not a graduate of their faculty but this kind of arrogance pissed me off. 
"When faced with a situation, we are met with innumerous choices from which we choose to pick up and stay with it. In this case, Victim 4 chose to stay back and not save the other victims. She also participated in the mutilated of the bodies post-mortem."
I nodded. "You're talking about infinite choice placed in front of a normal person. But in a situation of extreme power disparity, choices become obsolete. Let me put it this way. There is a finite number of choices that the person with less power can make. And these choices are not free to choose from, it is the ones given to the less powerful by the person in control." I paused, looking at her to see if I was making sense. "One can only reluctantly choose the better option."
"Yes, but what was the choice presented to her? Freedom and watching other people die?" she scoffed. 
"What makes you think that such a choice was presented? Victim 4 was made to have conversations with the other victims, getting to know them and assure them everything would be okay before the others were killed right in front of her. The choice of saving someone was given to her. Lack of compliance with the killer's plans would result in pain."
"Sorry, is the pain so magnificent in front of a human life?" she countered. 
"Okay, given the choice between saving yourself and someone else, who would you choose?" I asked. My legs tapped against the floor. The other looked conflicted before answering. 
"Someone else," she said proudly.
"You took too long to answer," I replied with a small smile. "Okay, let me change the question, that was a hard one." I chuckled. "Given the choice, one of two victims will die. One is an old gentleman and the other a newborn infant. Who do you choose to save?"
Stumped for words, she answered. "Uh, the newborn?" she asked me. 
"Good. But what gives you the right to choose who gets to live?" I asked. "Just because the other person was older and had lived a full life, it didn't mean you should have chosen the child." I chuckled. "Also, why are you acting naive? Who said that the child won't die? Do you think the killer cares? In the end, everyone dies. You can only choose to extend someone's life by a few days."
"But she had the choice!" I scoffed. 
"Stop talking like a broken record. What choice? Where is the choice? When you have no power, you have no choice. The only way to make the other lose power over you is to not play the game." She was about to make a smart comment but I interjected. "And when you stop playing the game, what do you think happens to everyone else? They die. You die, too. You are no longer fun to hold captive. When you defy them, they get excited. When you comply, they want to torture you more. But when you stop playing altogether, you have no use for them any longer. You will be thrown away like trash."
There was silence. "I don't understand why you disregard these simple concepts. If you're so noble, then let me ask you a hypothetical question. Something that won't hurt you in the least." 
"Go ahead," Sebastian called from in front.
I nodded. "You are trapped in a room with a killer. The killer gives you a choice. He holds up two pieces of paper and asks you to choose between the two. If you get the right paper, he will let you live. Which one do you choose?"
The class looked baffled. Sebastian smirked. He must have figured out what I meant. 
"What is in those chits?" the student asked. 
"You don't know that. But you need to choose."
"The question makes no sense. If you don't know what is in those chits, how do you choose?" I laughed. 
"Exactly. That's what happened to Victim 4, right?" I challenged. "Now choose," I forced. I tore two pieces of paper and scribbled on it. I folded them up and held them up. "Choose," I repeated. 
"Right hand," she muttered with trepidation. I held it up and walked over to her. I handed it to her. She opened it, her eyes widening. 
"You survive," I said. I placed the other chit in front of her. She opened it and looked confused.
"It says the same thing," she said loudly. 
"Yes. It does. It doesn't matter the choice you made. You made the choice to survive. You didn't want to die. No matter how dire the situation is, in the end, we are programmed to do everything in our power to survive." 
"But it makes no sense!" She argued. "It makes no sense that she didn't try her level best to survive. She could have run."
"Victim 4 did run. She survived, didn't she?" I stared at her. "Why didn't she do it before? Imagine getting sliced up by a knife repeatedly, watching people die in front of you, and being forced to watch the killer eat their flesh. Imagine the killer pouring saltwater on your wounds... The pain is crippling." 
The woman gaped.
"You probably jump whenever a small cut on your finger comes in contact with water. But imagine being in so much pain that you don't need to fall asleep, you just pass out from it. Do you think you would be able to run?" I looked around the class. "We are unable to feel the pain of others. Therefore, we must not make assumptions about the degree of pain or the choices the person in pain made. What you should take from this class is that torture alters you as a person. You don't feel human anymore. You have no choice when all you know is pain. You don't even remember your own name."
"Evie is right," Sebastian breathed, making the tense air dissipate. "This class should teach you the horrors of torture. It should teach you to fight against it and never demonize those undergoing it. If you think you can blame the victim even though you are writing your doctoral thesis on victims of serial killers... please drop this class." The woman who had spoken up clamped her mouth shut. It seemed to be a direct attack on her.
"Time's up," Sebastian noted, looking down at his watch. "We'll meet again next week. Please take the reading material from Evie." He gave me a curt nod and left the room. As I organized the papers and started to hand them out, the rebellious doctoral student came up to me. 
"It's not often people know so much inside information about the case. I never read about the saltwater and choosing between victims thing." She looked confused. "My final chapter is on Alicia Williams. I have been contacting Dr. Butler for the files but he refuses to give me information on the victims. With only one person surviving, can you give me Victim 4's contact information?"
"That is why you should never assume to know what happened if you are not in the scene," I said. "About her phone number... she wouldn't appreciate talking to you about the experience. You're definitely prejudiced against her."
The woman huffed. "I've spoken to Alicia Williams, you know? She gave me the details," the woman dared to scoff. 
"Yes, believe in the words of a serial killer who wants to appear like a good human being." I rolled my eyes. 
"You talk about me assuming things. But here you are. You've never spoken to Alicia or the victim but you can get away with assuming things. Talk about double standards." I mulled over the choice. In this case, I did have infinite choice. I was the one in power. For a moment, I savored the feeling. 
"I am not assuming anything. If you had asked Alicia who her least favorite captive was, you would know..." I paused for effect. "You would know her name was Evie Marie Lewis." I handed her the material and pointed her towards the door.
I hated seeing the look of pity in people's eyes. But this woman didn't have any pity. Just shock. 
"Oh, right. How do I set up a meeting with Alicia?" I asked. "We lived alongside one another for seven months, you see. You don't think she would reject my call, would you?" I asked. 
"Dr. Butler has spoken to her before. You can ask him," she said hurriedly before leaving. 
What a shame. She could have gotten an interview out of me if she had been nice and unbiased.
