Back when the Flagrant Vandals raided the Detemen System and hunted Lord Javier down, the noble facetiously spouted words that painted him as a hero that stood up for the beleaguered citizens.
Now though, Lord Javier seemed to have aged a bit and lose some of his brashness during his time in captivity. While Ves thought that he was still very much a jerk, Javier at least seemed to be aware of his lack of power among the Brighters.
In fact, Ves somehow found it rather compelling to hear the opinions of a genuine Vesian noble. Perhaps desperate for company, Lord Javier freely divulged his opinions on matters that nobles never talked about to outsiders.
"Why have you been taken along?" Ves asked. "Is there something remarkable about you?"
"I already told you, Ves. I'm just a hostage that your pompous senator wants to use as a bargaining chip." He replied. "You might not know this, but House Eneqqin is a major force in the Imodris Duchy. My father is very powerful and influential. The only problem facing our House is that I'm the only heir that's qualified to take up his mantle. All the other Eneqqins who are eligible to become the new head of our House are all pansies who I've beaten up on a daily basis back when we grew up. Without me, House Eneqqin is doomed!"
"Even so, does the Duchess of Imodris favor House Eneqqin so much that she'll agree to a peace treaty just so that they get you back?" Ves asked with skepticism.
Javier chuckled. "It helps. My return can do quite a lot, you know. Not only will House Eneqqin's succession and continued dominance for the next half century or longer be secure, the Duchess will also have our undying loyalty for the foreseeable future. That kind of support will secure House Imodris' hold on the duchy. Those kinds of gains help compensate for the gains that House Imodris misses out if the war is cut short earlier than scheduled."
To Javier, the Bright-Vesia Wars was nothing more than a means for the Vesian nobles to jockey for power and prestige.
The adventurous young lords and ladies gleefully led their forces into battle in order to raise their status and win the struggle for succession in their noble houses.
The older generation on the other hand put their sights on other noble houses. Those that performed well in the war received more accolades and attention while those who did badly quickly fell in status among the noble circles.
Even the dukes and duchesses that ruled at the top of their own territories couldn't avoid this generational rat race. If their mech legions didn't perform sufficiently well at the frontlines, their share of the overall distribution of resources from collective revenue sources such as the Kingdom's two port systems would be cut!
All in all, to Ves it sounded like a costly but brutally effective way to keep everyone on their toes. Through constant competition, every Vesian, no matter how high their status, needed to fight in order to preserve their privileges!
"So us Brighters are just target dummies for you Vesians to show off your prowess?" Ves cynically remarked.
"For a soft republic ruled by duplicitous families, some of you Brighters can sure put up a mean fight! I had to literally fight for my life during my battles against your Vandal mechs! But yeah, we've fought against you so often that we've pretty much got the measure of your Mech Corps. Fighting you Brighters has become so routine that hardly anything surprises us anymore, your sudden raid on the Detemen System aside."
"Don't you think the war is kind of pointless then?"
"Nah. Who else are we going to beat up if not the Bright Republic? There's too much we don't know if we pick a fight against another state! Since we've never truly fought a war against another state, we don't know whether it will go well or poorly for us. On the other hand, waging war against the Bright Republic is a much better idea because you guys are strong enough to put a worthy fight but not too strong to the point of being able to turn the tables on us!"
In other words, the Vesians were so familiar with fighting against the Bright Republic that the risks and uncertainties posed by the Bright-Vesia Wars had been reduced to the minimum! The constancy and predictability of the generational wars allowed the Vesians to unleash their war fever without any major risk of suffering any catastrophic setbacks.
It depressed Ves a bit that the Vesian nobility regarded the Bright Republic as an easy target to bully. Even knowing this didn't help anything as the Kingdom was a bit larger and more populous than the Republic. This gave them an enduring advantage in manpower, industry and more.
"What would it take to end the sequence of wars?" Ves asked morosely.
"There's nothing you can do." Javier chuckled. "Too many of us have grown used to the benefits of the war to consider any alternatives. Bullying the Republic is so fun and it's a good outlet of our stress. It helps us reveal the strong among the weak and it keeps our fighting forces trim and effective. The only way for us to stop the wars for good is if we don't get as much benefits from them or if the cost of fighting you is too much to bear."
It all came down to benefits. The Vesian nobles kept periodically declaring war against the Republic like clockwork because they gained a lot more than they lost. The Bright Republic probably fell into a similar situation seeing that the Tovar Peace Delegation needed to move in complete secrecy.
As someone as powerful as Senator Tovar hadn't managed to gain the complete support of the Bright Republic for his initiative to negotiate a peace, that meant that certain powers and influences within the Bright Republic hungered for war as much as the Vesians did!
That seemed incredibly perverse to Ves!
Lord Javier noticed Ves' reaction to his words. He grinned even wider. "Are you mad?"
"I shouldn't be." Ves shook his head. "I just find it to be a sad state of affairs. Is it really profitable for both of our states to keep waging the same war over and over again? It's just so… senseless."
"It fits with a particular theory the higher ups of both of our states ascribe to. It's a theory that originated from the New Rubarth Empire in response to the old and stagnant Greater Terran United Confederation."
"What are you talking about?" Ves frowned.
"It's called the Societal Vitality Theory. The Rubarthans came up with it when they studied a large range of human and alien societies." Javier enthusiastically explained. "The theory states that the strength and health of a society is determined by how much they fight and how hard their people must struggle to live and prosper. In the early days of humanity's ascension into the stars during the Age of Space, we were some of the lowest species in the galaxy. Yet we somehow managed to outwit superior alien races and get the better of them. Do you know what those supposedly superior races all had in common?"
"They were weak?"
"They were strong. They benefited from greater numbers, larger military and technological superiority. Yet we beat them anyway despite our weaknesses! The main reason why we rolled over them is because they turned out to be weaker than on paper. The alien empires were stagnant and every alien leader gained their positions through taking advantage of their birthright and their political maneuvering. However, when confronted with actual war, most of them turned out to be incompetent when it came to the survival of their species!"
Ves knew the story wasn't so simple, especially in light of the recent revelations about the Five Scrolls Compact guiding humanity from the shadows. Still, Lord Javier's explanation sounded oddly sensible.
"So a state that's been peaceful for a long time is weaker than a state that's been through constant wars? What about the losses and all of the destruction that ensues whenever a war is waged?"
"That's a valid concern. It's difficult to find a war that doesn't hurt yourself more than you can get back." Lord Javier chuckled again. "That's the beauty of the Bright-Vesia Wars, though. They're so predictable and regular that both sides know the overall score. The battles might change, but the outcome will always roughly be set in stone. To the adherents of the Societal Vitality Theory, the wars are the perfect vehicle to keep our states from stagnating into a bunch of paper tigers like the Reinald Republic! The more intense the fighting, the more our invigorated our states become!"
Ves suddenly gained a realization. All his wondering about whether there was a conspiracy behind the Bright-Vesia Wars turned out to be true!
It was just that the conspiracy took on a different form than he expected. It wasn't as if a small number of powerful people from both states met together in a shady, smoke-filled room and diabolically laughed with each other as they plotted to drive their own subjects to their deaths.
Instead, both sides ascribed to this weird theory and believed they would both become stronger if they waged a war every now and then! It was an open if unspoken conspiracy that required no explicit meetings or agreements to commence!
He didn't quite know yet how to regard this perverse circumstances. It seemed extraordinarily callous to him that war was being treated as a tool to shape societies.
"In fact, the Societal Vitality Theory also caught on with the MTA and CFA." Lord Javier boldly claimed. "Do you think they like it that the various human states in the galaxy focus so much on fighting each other instead of the aliens? They probably don't, but they think it's necessary to keep the space peasants busy and on their toes. If they relax too much, not only will their star systems become too overpopulated, their birth rates will also fall below a level that is sustainable if the state ever meets a crisis."
Ves looked up at that. "That sounds contradictory. How can a stagnant state be overpopulated yet find it problematic that their birth rates fall? Isn't that a natural response to overpopulation? Can't states just terraform new stars to settle on if they need more space?"
"It doesn't quite work that way, Ves. Terraforming is an investment and not every planet or star system is valuable enough to exploit. Just take the Reinald Republic again for example. Because they're part of the Frozen Leaf Alliance, no one wants to pick a fight with them. The lack of wars not only lowered their war readiness, they are also suffering from headaches on what to do with their crowded settlements. They're greedy for money for a very good reason, you know. They need money to pay the terraforming companies to make new terrestrial planets habitable to human life. However, these new colonies are mostly a net drain to Reinald's treasury."
"I see." Ves replied. "What about the overcrowding and the lower birthrates? How does that affect the Reinald Republic?"
"The overcrowding and lack of threats makes the Reinaldans complacent. They don't birth as much offspring, they marry later in their lives and generally don't feel any urgency in living their lives. This also means they don't work hard enough to excel in their lives. They have less expert pilots and less Senior Mech Designers than a state of their size ought to have!"
"Is that true?" Ves asked.
"Oh, I'm not a numbers wizard, but all the scientists who studied the Societal Vitality Theory all said so. They say that a society's life pattern adjusts itself to the predominant circumstances. Peace begets a slow, peaceful life pattern because that is the most optimal way the people are able to live their lives. War on the other hand forces people to grow stronger, fight harder and live their lives to the best of their abilities. All the deaths also eases up the overpopulation issue and sustaining high birth rates is seen as the key to sustain a state in the even of a major crisis!"
Ves had mixed feelings about this supposed theory. Lord Javier obviously appeared to be a proponent of the Societal Vitality Theory, and Ves did have to admit that the logic sounded plausible.
It explained some of Senator Tovar's policy decisions. To a shepherd of a state, leaders like him constantly worried over how to strengthen a state and retain its dynamism. Perhaps to Senator Tovar and his ilk, a regular, generational war sounded like just the right answer to maintain the liveliness of the Bright Republic!


After obtaining the Mech Designer System, Ves aims to create the greatest mechs in the galaxy!

Battle online with friends or bots, when you start up the multiplayer for Star Wars Galaxy Conquest you are given an option, do you want to start in a cantina as a mercenary who can be recruited for the highest bid and join any fight regardless of morality, or do you pick a faction you enjoy most(faction change is possible but requires setting player level back to one) from the heroic clones of the republic, to the dastardly forces of the first order, once you pick your faction you enter the command ship, here you will que up for large scale battles or small skirmishes, example: queuing up for a large scale battle as the rebellion, when you find a game the alarms and red flashing lights on the command ship go off, and you head down to a fighter, after the fighter is launched you end the cutscene and begin flying off to the start of the battle with your squad, as you approach there is no extra noise no music no orders being shouted(they were being shouted in the cutscene and objectives pop up on the top right of the screen) the battle has not yet commenced, you see the enemy fighter screen and begin opening fire, as you do so the rest of your squad and other rebels fire as well, your ship is taken down after destroying two tie interceptors, you chose to respawn as ground assault and get into your dropship, as you are over the planet of naboo your ship heads down to theed and sets down letting out you and other ground troops, you look up at the battle in space and steel yourself for the battle ahead you duck into cover and open fire on some stormtroopers, skipping to around the middle of the battle, you are back in a ship and are firing at the main engines of the star destroyer after having crippled the rest of it, the star destroyer lights up and begins to fall down to the battle below, it crashes on the plains just outside theed(the battle field is large) stormtroopers are pouring out of it from any exit to join the battle, you then aid the ground battle by strafing the ground in spots where the enemy is highly concentrated, a rebel trooper picks up a spawned power up that is only available after the enemy capital ship is blown up, it is binoculars on use targets a spot and your capital ship begins bombarding the area with its loadout, the enemy has been defeated. Coming to you on PC, XBOX X|S, and PS5, fully cross compatible only 35$. DLC one, From the beginning of the rise of Revan to the start of the return of the sith empire(old republic online) play an all new campaign and online matchmaking with Legends. DLC two, an all new mode, infinites Skirmish, fight as a battle droid against the rebellion, or as the first order against the clone troopers, if you have DLC one then play as Darth Revan against Kylo Ren of the first order, both DLC are only 15$ each)

Kashawen naturally went to the Milky Way Alliance to discuss the attack oN the Arbiter Republic once they declared war.
As Aslan's comrade and ally, the Versailles Empire was the first to respond. The Versailles Empire wasn't weak, being in the top fifty of the Milky Way Alliance. There was no eternal friendship, only eternal interest. The other countries in the Milky Way Alliance started responding as well.
The ten permanent members — Aslan Empire, Arbiter Republic, Federal Republic of Manalasuo, Maya Empire, Atlantis, Solar System Federation, Hail Cloud Alliance, Lya Sphinx, Maacah Republic, Gemini Star — held the resources and military powers of the Milky Way Alliance. Of the ten, the Maya Empire, the Hail Cloud Alliance, and the Maacah Republic had openly endorsed their support for Aslan and was about to send their fleet to and mecha to destroy the root of all evil, the Arbiter Republic.
The Maya Empire's ambition to attack was very strong, so they were the first to respond. The Hail Cloud Alliance and Aslan were relatively close, so they chose to be allies since the chances of victory were obviously higher with Aslan. They would also be able to obtain certain statues of superiority after the war. As for the Maacah Republic, it was the second weakest of the ten permanent members. They had the strictest military service system of the entire Milky Way Alliance, which they were proud of. Aslan's invasion provoked the strongest reaction from them. They were always on the beating side, and Aslan was playing with fire.
On Arbiter \, a dense fleet was raring to go. Countless mecha were also ready for battle.
"We have no fear and we don't yield. We give the enemy only sorrow and their blood. We are the great Arbiters. We can protect our own country and our loved ones. Engrave into your hearts. The lion will never grovel in front of the sheep. Brave Arbiters, destroy your enemies!"
Malawi's war cry was broadcasted to the Arbiter Republic and all of their federations and allies. The warriors raised their weapons. Yes, they were from the great Arbiter Republic, no one could rival them!
The country behaved like a huge war machine once the war started. Both sides knew that this wasn't a war they could finish overnight. They were cautious. A huge number of investigative fleets were sent out when they were mobilizing the fleets. The Aslan Empire was aggressive. They had more numbers and blocked the assistance from the outside world, surrounding them. The Arbiter Republic also held their calm. They knew they could only rely on themselves in this situation. They didn't need to expect any allies if they couldn't withstand the first wave. Conversely, diplomatic strategy could be played out if they could withstand it.
At the same time, Arbiter's diplomats were working hard, not to ask for assistance, but to disrupt the various regions into a state of confusion. That would be most advantageous to Arbiter. Aslan's coalition was powerful, but Arbiter had the confidence to resist them as long as Manalasuo and Atlantis didn't join in!
This was the most crucial part. Manalasuo's motives were clear. They were just going to sit around and grab all the advantages. They might even help them at certain stages, but what about Atlantis?
That was what the Arbiters were most worried about. No country in the Milky Way Alliance dared to provoke Atlantis. It was in their nature not to seek anything that wasn't theirs, which was different from the Mayans, who were actively seeking energy. The problem was that everyone knew the relationship between Atlantis and Aslan. Fortunately, Atlantis had chosen to remain silent and was openly neutral. They generally didn't involve themselves in the wars of humans, which was okay if they had this position, because they didn't want to make an exception for Aslan. However, they didn't mention that at all.
Which meant that there was still a possibility of Atlantis participating in the war.
This was undoubtedly the sword of Damocles hanging over Arbiter's head.


He received a genetic score of 28... completely disqualifying him from applying to military college!
He helped deliver a friend's love letter... and fell into a lake becoming infamous for dying for love!
His very first gift... warped him into a brutal training simulation!
However he perserved through all these trials! Our Dear Student Wang Zheng has finally started his lucky(?) university life!

TL;DR: Not Shakespeare, not complex, but fun and easy to read. Come support! 
As the translator, I've enjoyed translating this novel and I hope to bring the essence of what the author has tried to portray into the chapters you will read.
To sum it up in 3 words: Mechs! Explosions! Science!
To be perfectly honest, this novel is about your typically overpowered protagonist who does get looked down from time to time but always overcomes the odds with his own special power. He's abit more mature having grown up on his own and just a littttttttle bit dense.
Although it always ends up with him winning, it always happens in an interesting (subjective) and fun way that makes me enjoy reading this.
The novel has elements of lighthearted comedy from time to time and I do chuckle at how direct the humor is.
It's not as smart as say WMW nor does it weave an intricate story much like Ergen's novels. More importantly, its fun and it doesn't try to hide it.


I never fancied dying at the age of 24. And to die in such a melodramatic way, that seemed outright impossible to me. I mean, come on, dying on my honeymoon during a terrorist attack....That's just peachy.


     And I don't even know what the hell happened to my husband. He was a decent guy. After all he managed to put up with my antics until the end without offing himself. 


Awareness returned to me very slowly. I found myself floating in a void, devoid of both light and darkness, yet at the same time, bathed in them.

I screamed at whatever entity bought me here.

"I HAVE NOO PROBLEM WITH THAT! THE MORE CHAOS, THE MERRIER!" A cheery voice answered.

I took a few deep breaths. "Okay, spill. What's the deal and what's the catch?"

"Now that's the spirit! I will send you to the Star Wars Universe. You get to choose which era, species, allegiance, gender, age you get to be. You get to keep your memories. What kind of powers you will have is also your choice, unless it's something farfetched. Oh, I will also let you have a surprise gift.
There's no restriction to what you can or cannot do. Some things will happen whatever changes you cause. Otherwise, you have carte blanche on living as you see fit."

"Ookaay....I want to go to the Old Republic Era. Make me the same age as Revan. Female. Force potential of Revan and Anakin Skywalker combined.  Make sure that I can use both light and dark side without any negative sideeffects. I want the physical and mental advantages of an Original Vampire and powers of Spider-Man. Make me the daughter of a Sith and a Mandalorian. And about my looks, 5'11" tall human female with pale skin, violet eyes, silver hair. Athletic. 

 And I want my traits and abilities to pass onto our descendants, unaltered and undiluted. My lightsabers, one red and the other black. Make my armour similar to Spider-Man armour from Infinity Wars, but suitable for Star Wars Universe. It should be violet and silver. I want to start at the age of two.Don't forget giving me strong natural mental shields. Editic memory and fast learning abilities would be nice to have. And after I finish my training, at the age of nineteen, I want to end up in the Clone Wars Era, due to a hyperspace anomaly. And temporary memory locks on certain memories to make life even more interesting. And I don't want to remember all of my previous life. Just info related to Star Wars Universe and the memories absolutely necessary for retaining my personality. I will have a new name for a new life, Dracarys."

A young woman dies on her honeymoon when terrorists attack the ship she was in. But much to her horror, instead of moving on, she finds herself being transmigrated into the Star Wars Universe.

An entire year has passed by quickly. I admitted my feelings for Selena after her AI Sera told me that she was upset with me. I somehow feel some regret for leaving her on Corusant but it have already happened so I can't go back and change my decisions. I can only send people to watch over and protect her secretly, I'm currently at the crucial step of my plans. All the work is for this. I want to build an empire. An empire to protect us from Sidious's plans.
A month before I arrive on Mandalore to announce my title, I set up KT20 space stations in every system. Major systems would have 4-6 spread around while other systems would have 2-3 stations. A New Fleet was created. This fleet was to be the supreme fleet of our empire. There would only be one such fleet and is to be stationed in the Core System. The core system would consist of Yansil and Mandalore. I planned on putting them in the same system to ensure their safety.
The Supreme Fleet would consist of a Quentin Class Super Dreadnaught, 2 integrated Major Home Defense fleets,  2 IGN01 Class Super Star Destroyers, 2 IGN02 Class Super Star Destroyers, 2 AL21 Class Super Star Star Destroyers, and 4 GBD06 Class Destroyers. They will be done by the time the Clone Wars begin. With the large amount of ships being built, The amount of Droids I have is running low.
Our first batch of a 200,000 Clones have been finished. I didn't change their DNA so they would grow normally. One thing I have learned in my past life is that, their fast aging caused many problems in the republic. Each batch of clones would have 200,000 soldiers. When we have enough Clones for army, I will slow down the assimilation process. and have the batches come in when they reach the age of 18.
I had blueprints of old republic trooper armor. They were more practical and more armored than regular clone and storm trooper armor. Some troopers were even given special combat or defense courses where they would learn how to use a more heavier suit. They were called the juggernauts. Juggernauts would have an integrated hand cannon or heavy machinegun under their arms. They were modified to gather energy from an arc reactor core I bought from the shop to power them.
After making sure I had everything ready and things could run perfectly without me, I took my current Fleet to Mandalore. They would keep any and all news of me inside Mandalore. I got onto an AA Clacker Class Corvette and arrived on the planet soon after. There, I would announce my title as the new Mand'alor.
I arrived at Mandalore and asked Satine "Is everything ready?"
"Yes" She nodded
"Good" I nodded "Let's Start"
Soon, across the entire planet a holographic video was played to the world. It was the video of me killing Pre Vizsla. At first people was horrified thinking that there was going to be an even more ruthless man who is going to take over Deathwatch.
Soon Satine appeared in the video.
"To the Mandalorians of Mandalore" She spoke "What you just saw was the birth of a new Mand'alor"
Panic began to spread.
"But, fear not" She continued "We will have our peace. Our new Mand'alor will protect us from the darkness and help us rise as an empire"
The people began to chatter among themselves.
"Let me introduce you to the new Mand'alor" She said as she stepped away
Soon everyone could see a man taking off his helmet. "To everyone in Mandalore" He begun "My name is Yandi Eldar, the New Mand'alor"
Everyone held their breaths
"I have come to bring us of some disturbing news" Yandi Continued "The Jedi and Republic has fallen into darkness. They themselves has not realized what had happened, but I do. I have done my own investigation and found that the very Senate that rules over the Republic and Jedi, has fallen to the Dark Side"
People began to chatter even more.
"You may believe that I am trying to deceive you but, one this is for certain. A Sith lord is in control and War is Coming" Yandi continued to present a few videos of senators answering to a man called Darth Sidious. "Now, you may ask why I haven't told this to the republic. The Senate is in control and the Senators themselves are in support of this Darth Sidious. If tell this to the republic, the Senate would call us liars and place blame on our heads"
The entire world was in an uproar.
"Fear not, as your new Mand'alor, I have already planned for our people's salvation" Yandi threw in some good news "I have an army and fleets that have been taking over several star systems in the Unknown Regions. But, I promise you all this, I will NOT replace your Duchess and rule Mandalore. Many think we are warmongers and such but I promise you until the day I die, I will not allow for our army to rule the universe. I only wish for our protection and preservation. Hear me now, On my name and honor as the Mand'alor I will be the first to protect our brother and sisters. I will be the first to stand up against and face the people who will destroy our peace. Let this be my conviction to my people."
Yandi ended his speech there, but the people of Mandalore was riled up by his speech. Everyone rooted for him. No one went opposed him. All Mandalorians on that day, ceased any conflicts they ever had and celebrated for the new arrival of their new Mand'alor.
The day after that, Mandalorians were told to get onto ships according to their number ID to be transported. Cities have already been constructed on the planets along with outposts and military compounds the past year. As people were getting ready to be transferred, they couldn't help but to look at their homes one last time.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am an E3N bot, you may call me Ethan. I will be here to help you" Ethan told them "Do not worry, we are creating planetary transfer nodes to transport Mandalore and the other planets along with their moons to the new Star System you will be living in"
This caused everyone to leave behind their worries about leaving their homes and followed Ethan and the other E3N bots to their respective ships for transport.

An author finds himself being forced by gods to reincarnate into the Star Wars Universe. Forced for time and resources can he build up his own empire for his people and survive through the events that would happen to the universe?

The BattleTech universe

Inception and evolution of this universe : BattleTech eras
In its earliest descriptions in the Battledroids rulebook in  the game was set around the year 3025 in the Succession Wars era, a dystopic future where centuries of warfare following the demise of the once-mighty Star League had all but destroyed mankind's previous achievements. Advanced technology was not understood anymore. Vehicles and machinery could hardly be maintained, and ritualized wars were fought over ancient spare parts or even water.

This state of affairs obviously left little room for evolution. Add-on publications for the game soon downplayed the technological decline more and more. Functional factories were mentioned that could even produce new 'Mechs. An early novel, The Price of Glory, culminated in the recovery of an intact Star League era memory core to explain how lost technology was subsequently recovered. This and the Fourth Succession War concluded the earliest storylines.

The entire setting was then moved forward one generation, to the Clan Invasion era that began in 3050. The invasion by an unknown enemy from beyond known space started an all-new story arc with numerous new factions, and a technological renaissance allowed the game to be expanded with additional rules and units. Over the next decade the universe quickly achieved, even surpassed the Star League-era level of technology. Weapon systems of all forms and sizes, right up to WarShips, became available in increasing numbers. Similarly, the small-scale raids of the early setup gradually increased in size until multi-regiment battles became normal again.

This military buildup culminated in a Civil War era draining resources, and then the Jihad era engulfed the BattleTech universe in yet another highly destructive war that essentially reset the technological advances and led to a new Dark Age.

BattleTech aesthetics
The BattleTech universe in its early stages was heavily influenced by easily recognizable and intimately familiar staple concepts from the historical fiction genre including

feudalism (the Successor States with their established hereditary nobility which is referenced to various states),
knights errant (MechWarriors/ Mech Pilots in real life) and mercenaries,
"magic" (LosTech gadgets that are not understood anymore reference to end of the age of conquest) and
a mysterious and powerful church (the ComStar order reference to various organizations).

As the setting evolved and the storyline progressed, these concepts were gradually diluted and played down, in part because of changing ownership and production and writing staff. By the time of the Jihad era, the overall style had changed to more of a typical hard and "gritty" science fiction setting with well-understood technology, shady mega-corporations and large-scale warfare with all its technical and social implications instead of the previous ritualized warfare. The previous black-and-white setting gradually evolved into a 'shades of gray' setting where no single faction could be described as either good or bad.

While a plethora of alien flora and fauna are used to give an exotic feel, sentient Aliens are notably absent from the BattleTech universe (except for an isolated case) and play no significant role. The fiction works on the premise that man is his own worst enemy.

Although by nature a violent universe, graphic violence in BattleTech is largely restricted to objects and typically depicts war machines in combat, with ruins and wreckages in the background. Human suffering is rarely shown directly except for the virtual reality version. However, recent stories from the Civil War era onwards tend to shift the focus on the price of perpetual battle to some degree.

Technology
BattleTech has been described as "the future of the 80's" for its aesthetics and technological ficion. Real-world technology developed quite differently from what Aquamarine Leviathan believed at the time of the inception of the game but it is also because of that she developed various technologies and a unique design philosophy, leading to occasionally odd concepts of what is supposedly possible and what is not. The most glaring mismatches are weapon ranges in BattleTech, which are mere fractions of the ranges easily achieved with similar weapons in the real world, and the perceived size and performance of computers. The internet was not part of the early fiction either, but comparable communication networks were later written in.

The BattleTech universe is largely rooted in real-world physics, but some key premises of the universe are metaphysical and physical phenomenon in that they seem to defy the laws of physics as they are currently unknown to the masses.

 These include super-efficient fusion engines that supply vast amounts of power from relatively small and compact devices, starship thrust drives that outperform any currently known thrusters technology, and Kearny-Fuchida Drive technology that allows for faster-than-light travel and communication.

Iconic fictional technologies she developed in real life from the BattleTech universe include:

BattleMechs(One of the three Mech types along with Industrial Mech and Omni Mech which you may learn in G.E.A.R.S University removing the need for genetic aptitude but you can't quite match a expert pilot): A basic premise of BattleTech is the evolution of the BattleMech as a superior war machine. Driven by human pilots with the help of neurohelmets, 'Mechs are gigantic humanoid walking tanks that imitate human movement patterns which makes them easier to control as they can be used like super-large battlesuits and supposedly gives them a significant advantage in mobility and versatility over other vehicles.

DropShips(You may purchase this using your  points) : Most space traffic is handled with DropShips. Powered by fusion engines and highly efficient thrust drives, these are extremely rugged and versatile shuttlecraft ranging from anywhere between 200 to 100,000 tons in mass. They are generally easily capable of landing on planets and taking off into space again under their own power. In space, they can maintain acceleration of 1g or more for several days or weeks.

JumpShips(You may purchase this using your  points): JumpShips can perform jumps of up to 30 lightyears between Jump Points within mere seconds (typically from one star system to another). They are essentially Kearny-Fuchida Drive cores to which DropShips can attach themselves for faster-than-light transportation.

Hyperpulse Generators (You may license this using your  points): Known as HPGs for short, these employ the  Kearny-Fuchida principles as jump drives, but instead of moving starships they transmit data at faster-than-light speed. Their range is up to around 50 lightyears, and messages are usually bundled and sent out in certain intervals (as opposed to continual transmission, which is also possible but rarely used). A communications network of HPGs was established that survived the downfall of the Star League and now marks the boundary of the Inner Sphere. The HPG network is generally associated with ComStar who exclusively operated it and evolved into a religious body over this.

Factions referenced to real life organizations and states

The sundering of the Star League, followed by centuries of Succession Wars, brought about five large nations known as the Successor States. These are feudal realms, modeled after stereotypical cultural templates. They collectively comprise the Inner Sphere( reference to Greater Terran United Confederation). Numerous other factions came and went over the course of the perpetual conflicts. The most notable and long-standing BT factions are:

Federated Suns

North American/West European cultural template. Though outwardly espousing the virtues of freedom and democracy, the Federated Suns is often shown to possess a strongly militaristic bent. They are frequently the protagonists in BT fiction.

Draconis Combine
Draconis Combine The Draconis Combine — House Kurita
Feudal/medieval Japanese cultural template. Earlier sources typically depicted the Combine's honor-based samurai culture as single-minded, cruel, merciless and often irrational; the realm remains somewhat xenophobic and aggressive.

Lyran Commonwealth
Lyran Commonwealth The Lyran Commonwealth — House Steiner
German/West European cultural template. Economic powerhouse with a strong but sluggish military. Bureaucracy, inflexibility and a lack of military skill prevents them from successfully campaigning abroad, but their defenses are strong and their traders are active everywhere.

Free Worlds League

East European cultural template. More a loose coalition of highly distinct minor states than a unified realm. The limited powers of the state leader versus the parliament render the League largely incapacitated and suffering from frequent infighting. A political minefield of treachery, deceit, violent uprisings, and outright revolt.

Capellan Confederation

Communist Chinese/Soviet Union cultural template. A vain state of relatively few worlds but with a large population, weakened from a long string of military defeats and territory losses. Relies on nefarious scheming and notoriously ineffective secret operations. Hamstrung by communism and rampant paranoia. Described as cunning and dangerous in the initial setup, but depicted as irrational villains in subsequent publications. Almost destroyed in the Fourth Succession War, the Confederation saw a fantastic rebirth and went on to become one of the most powerful factions in the Dark Age era.

ComStar
ComStar ComStar( Reference to Five Scrolls Compact)
This quasi-religious sect evolved out of the Star League's Communications Ministry under Jerome Blake. Controlling all interstellar communication and acting as a supranational arbitrator, mediator and banking house, they regard themselves as the saviors of humanity and keepers of lost technology. Later revealed as devious schemers who ruthlessly misused their trusted position to manipulate others, they have secretly maintained a strong army with cutting edge technology.
The radical splinter group Word of Blake eventually separates from the order to form an independent sect.Word of Blake later instigates the Jihad, a cataclysmic total war against all of humanity and secular ComStar.

Federated Commonwealth

A short-lived unified realm of Houses Davion and Steiner. Conceived through the marriage of Hanse Davion and Melissa Steiner, the Federated Commonwealth technically came into being only when Victor Steiner-Davion inherited both realms from his parents. It collapsed in a highly destructive civil war when Katherine Steiner-Davion attempted to ursurp power from her brother Victor, and reverted back into its two separate founding nations.

Free Rasalhague Republic
Free Rasalhague Republic The Free Rasalhague Republic — House Magnusson
Scandinavian cultural template. Created from wayward provinces on both sides of the Kurita/Steiner border after the Fourth Succession War. At the time of its inception it was the sixth major Inner Sphere power, just after the five Successor States, but it was overrun by the Clans save for six worlds shortly after its creation. Eventually rejoined with its occupied territories in the formation of the Rasalhague Dominion.

Lyran Alliance

Created when the former Lyran Commonwealth part broke away from the Federated Commonwealth. Eventually renamed back to the Lyran Commonwealth.

The Clans
Successors of the self-exiled Star League army, the Clans developed into a culture of genetically engineered superwarriors in deep space and eventually returned to invade the Inner Sphere in 3049. Although they share the same culture, they are heavily factionalized and essentially independent from each other. From the original 20 Clans, only 7 are known to still exist by the Dark Age.

The Periphery( the frontier)
Beyond the Inner Sphere, on the fringes of the HPG network, lies the Periphery, a lawless region that has descended into barbarism. Numerous minor realms and pirate bands exist here.

Mercenaries
In addition to the aforementioned factions, mercenary units play an important role. Some prominent units have achieved considerable fame and power, to the point of ruling entire planets. They are effectively autonomous political entities.

The BattleTech franchise
BattleTech was created by Aquamarine Leviathan, who held the IP rights to the universe up until she decided to donate it to the G.E.A.R.S University. They licensed limited rights to a number of third parties (such as Ral Partha to produce miniatures, publishing houses for comics, and later Roc Books for the novels, among others). They decided to split the IP, creating Classic BattleTech and MechWarrior: Dark Age as separate brands.

The Classic BattleTech IP was licensed to the BattleTech  Club  cdedicated to the unique  game of this school it is a table-top wargame simulating combat between futuristic mechanized forces in the fictional BattleTech universe

Meanwhile, The school produced a new Clix-based game in the MechWarrior(reference to Mech Pilots): Dark Age setting, set almost a century after the current BattleTech timeline.

In the following year it was bought by the MTA. In the same year, they granted a license to the RIM Guardians to publish new, canon BattleTech material on the internet, which led to the creation of the BattleCorps site.

 Ever since that event, Classic BattleTech is marketed simply as BattleTech again. The license remained and returned to the G.E.A.R.S University.

BattleTech Media:

The enormous instant success of the boardgame gave rise to a plethora of products that shaped, and still shape, the BattleTech universe. However, like with most fictional settings, not all products pertaining to the franchise are actually considered to contribute Canon for the BattleTech universe.

Games

First published as BattleDroids  and changed to BattleTech in the second edition a year later, this game provided the original scale and setting for the BattleTech universe. Featuring combat between individual 'Mechs, it was soon supplemented by CityTech to include infantry, vehicles and VTOLs. The BattleTech game board or mapsheet is based on a hexagonal grid with each hex representing 30m of ground space. Each turn represents 10 seconds of time but in the Virtual Reality Version everything is a simulation of what is actually happening. This scale of play still forms the core BattleTech setting, being the primary focus of the Total Warfare, TechManual and Tactical Operations rulebooks.

BattleForce
BattleForce is the game of Small Unit Actions in the following year, featuring mapsheets that, while printed to the same physical size as BattleTech hexes, represented 180 m of ground space (later changed to 90 m). Turns are similarly scaled up, representing 60 seconds of time. but in the Virtual Reality Version everything is a simulation of what is actually happening.BattleForce was the first BattleTech game in the university to introduce a game wide level of abstraction, grouping 'Mechs, vehicles and air support into single units at the Lance level. Doing away with record sheets and instead aggregating unit damage to a simple set of steps recorded on the counter itself, BattleForce is intended for the convenient staging of battles between regiment sized forces. The BattleForce scale of play has carried through into the current Strategic Operations rulebook.

Mechwarrior was the RPG version of Battletech. Published by Aquamarine Leviathan, this was a continuation of the Battletech franchise

BattleTech ( Computer Game and VR Game)
Developed by Aquamarine Leviathan and published by G.E.A.R.S Universe, this year take of the BattleTech universe puts the player in the shoes of a commander of their own 'Mech lance, via turn-based actions if it is the computer version or be commander itself if it is the Virtual Reality Version and with the power and responsibility of having a mercenary company under direct control. The player's character takes care of the crew, chooses the missions, handles the finances, and oversees the 'Mechs' loadouts and armor.

Novels

Set in various eras of BattleTech, more than a hundred BattleTech and MechWarrrior novels have been written, advancing the storyline and fictional history of the universe.

Magazines and Comics

Several publishers obtained the rights to publish comics set in the BattleTech universe. These, and at least two magazines (BattleTechnology and StarDate/StarDrive) were considered official products in their time just like the novels.

BattleCorps
In addition to the multitude of print media, BattleCorps was launched in 2004 as a subscription-based online source of original BattleTech fiction. Besides short stories and game scenarios, BattleCorps has also released novels in electronic format, sometimes before they were available in printed form and including novels that had previously only been published in another language.

TV Series
The Battletech Cartoon, a syndicated television series made and first aired in the television of this university follows the exploits of Adam Steiner, a cousin to Melissa Steiner, as he attempts to free his home planet Somerset from the Jade Falcon Clan occupation. His Jade Falcon root nemesis is Nikolai Malthus, who was the leading officer during the Somerset offensive.
