This is a non-fiction work. based on an incident I had when attending a family gathering. I found this very amusing and thus, I am sharing it today.

As we see from the title, the snake and the mirror are the two most important things in the story. This homeopathic doctor encountered a snake, the snake fell on the doctor. When the snake saw its reflection in the mirror, it was more interesting in that and the doctor’s life was saved.

So this is a Zodiac story of sorts, but its not like based solely apon them being a part of the Zodiac.

Bianna watched as Wang Bu Lu was torn in pieces by that snake-head creature and her heart was instantly enveloped with a terrifying chill. She let out a shrill scream and hurriedly retreated towards Sitolius.
Wang Bu Lu was a powerful Type 4 Divine Warrior, in terms of combat, he was even stronger than Bianna by at least 30%. Such a powerful fighter was actually eaten in one bite, it caused Bianna to be extremely fearful.
The snake leader gobbled up Wang Bu Lu in a few bites and with a flash, it quickly chased after Bianna.
Bianna was currently fleeing with a pale face, pushing her limits. She would use her psychic powers to propel herself forward from time to time. Each time the snake-head creature was about to get close, she would channel her ability, and force the snake leader away.
The speed of this snake-head creature was extremely fast, however, it was always hampered by Bianna’s constant usage of her psychic ability.
Unfortunately, a scene soon occurred, causing Bianna to despair. In the midst of the gigantic Mutant Snakes, a number of similar snake-head creatures appeared, rushing towards her.
Yue Zhong saw all these from the mainframe display, his heart filled with a chill, "So many of those, what in the world are they?"
The bodies of those snake-head creatures were even stronger than Type 4 Flesh-Eaters. They also had human-like features, truly it was strange and frightening. Most humanoid creatures would usually possess intelligence, and enemies like that were the most dangerous for the human race.
Bianna continued to charge forth, repelling any snake-head creatures that got too close. After repelling them for 7 or 8 times, she suddenly seemed to have thought of something and began to leap into the air, using her power to help her step up towards the skies.
The usage of her psychic abilities was extremely broad, with powerful potential. Although she only had an initial Type 4 Divine Warrior strength, using her power, she was even stronger than most other peak Type 4 Divine Warriors.
The snake-head creatures came underneath her, looking at her with cold eyes.
"Good! What a good target! Bai Yi, send me outside of the ship!"
Yue Zhong looked at Bianna rising up higher with the support of her ability and spoke to Bai Yi in excitement.
"Right this way!"
One of the alloy doors opened up, revealing a mobile platform.
Yue Zhong stepped right in.
The mobile platform then shot towards the exterior of the floating fortress through a series of tunnels.
The ship had many functions and features but required the mainframe computer to display its full potential. Without it, the ship was only at best 30% of its normal capacity.
When he reached the exterior, Yue Zhong quickly pulled out his Electromagnetic Gun and took aim at Bianna.
His gaze locked on her, his killing intent caused her to feel a sense of dread. She turned to discover Yue Zhong aiming at her, and she instantly felt a chill in her heart. She quickly channeled her power to support herself up by another 6 meters.
Yue Zhong’s cold gaze was fixed on Bianna as he pulled the trigger, and the electromagnetic beam fired straight for her.
This female demon tried her best to avoid by moving up and down, but her usage of the psychic abilities could not compare to her own speed on the ground.
After dodging 3 of the shots forcefully, one of them managed to blast her right shoulder into oblivion.
She was sent hurtling towards the ground by that beam.
Another beam that burst through her head, blasting it apart, killing her instantly.
"Congratulations, you’ve gained +40 Vitality and +1 Skill Point."
With Bianna’s death, her life force flowed into Yue Zhong through the God and Devil Imprint, enhancing him once again.
With that sudden increase of 40 Vitality, his wound on his chest began to heal even faster.
Since Bianna was killed, the snake-head creatures quickly rushed over to her corpse and tore it apart, gobbling her up.
　
At the same time, their eyes were filled with a vicious animosity as they stared at Yue Zhong while eating.
Yue Zhong stared right back for a while, before commanding, "Go back!"
The mobile platform then brought Yue Zhong back into the room where the mainframe was held.
Those snake-head creatures shrieked out in some strange noise before making their way towards Sitolius.
The large horde of Mutant Snakes soon came into Sitolius’s view, as they fought to reach him faster.
Right now, all around Sitolius laid the destroyed RH2s and scattered machine parts. Initially, there had been over 90 RH2s combating him, now there was barely a dozen left.
"Mutant Beasts? A bunch of lowly creatures dare attack me? What trash!!"
Sitolius stared at the newcomers and laughed coldly. He turned his body around and pounced towards the horde of snakes and snake-creatures.
The moment he charged through their midst, the bone whip in his flew out like a raging dragon, the huge, strange snakes torn instantly rupturing at the point of contact.
As the blood mist sprayed, Sitolius walked through it, looking like a demon right out of hell.
Hua Du was also tangling with the Mutant Snakes by the side, as a Type 4 Divine Warrior, dealing with those Mutant Snakes was not as casual as Sitolius, but it was not a problem for him. As long as he neared one, he would then conjure a huge blade of air to slice the head of the Mutant Snakes.
As Sitolius was slaughtering the Mutant Snakes, the snake-head creatures suddenly charged out from the horde.
At that instant, 2 of them surrounded Hua Du.
Hua Du had just killed off one of the giant Mutant Snakes, and his heart had just relaxed at that point when one of the snake-head creatures opened its jaws to bite him.
Hua Du retreated just a little too late, and his hands were caught in the teeth of the snake-head creature.
The other snake-head creature opened its mouth and quickly latch onto Hua Du’s upper body, and with a loud crunch, his entire top half was bitten off and swallowed.
　
After killing Hua Du in a second, the 8 snake-head creatures pounced towards Sitolius.
"Peak-Type 4? All you bastards actually have Peak-Type 4 combat ability!!" Sitolius stared hatefully at those monsters, and the bone whip in his hand lashed out, sending them flying back.
If it were just 1 of them, he could kill it easily. Facing 2 or 8 was not a problem even. However, once the numbers exceeded 10, then his confidence in dealing with them all would start to decrease. If there were more than 20, he would even have to retreat.
"Lowly? I say you Flesh-Eaters are the lowly ones. Our Snake Race will be the masters of this world from now on. Those Flesh-Eaters there, our Snake Race is currently in need of talent. Join us, and fight for us, I can still let you live. Otherwise, there will only be death for you guys."
From the horde of snakes, an icy-cold voice sounded out. The snakes parted, forming a path, and from a distance, the numerous snake-head creatures stood with respect in two lines. Atop the crown of an enormous golden snake, sat a man and woman with human-like features. They had long snake tails, their bodies covered with a layer of silver scales.
　
The pair were extremely good-looking, however, their golden eyes were slits that would send a chill down anyone’s spine when looked at. The person who spoke was precisely the beautiful snake woman.
Sitolius glanced at them and snorted coldly, "Preposterous!! Just 2 measly Type 5 snakes want to become the masters of the world? This time, we have barely sent out a small portion of our Saint Clan. If we were to go all-out, wiping out your pathetic race is as easy as flipping our hands. I advise you to give up and surrender. Hand over 20 Type 4 nuclei and we can forget about this. Otherwise, in a month’s time, your race will be extinct."
In this world, the Saint Clan was truly the hegemony, with no other powers the slightest bit a threat to them. This led to the arrogance in Sitolius’s words.
While Sitolius was not a match for the both of the Type 5 Snake Race experts, based on the might of the Saint Clan, it was not impossible to crush the Snake Race.
The snake woman pointed at Sitolius and coldly commanded, "Very good! I want to see how you can do that! Kill him, Mangudala!!"
The handsome snake man flashed forward, darting like a specter.
"Hmph! Do you want to kill me? Go try evolving another thousand years!! Lowly beast!!" Sitolius laughed coldly and with a tap of his feet, he retreated explosively at the speed of sound.
He could tell the difference in strength between both sides. He would not sit here idly waiting for his death. As long as he got away alive, it would be enough. Although the mission this time cost him huge losses, with his Type 5 Divine Warrior status, it would be settled with an explanation.


In less than an instant the world as we knew it was at its end. That’s right. The Apocalypse. In a single blink Zombies appeared and mutated monsters began to rampage all throughout the world. Now it was the human species turn to fight for survival and planetary dominance! On the same day that the world descends into chaos we meet Yue Zhong. Initially only hoping to get to his friends and escape to a refugee camp our protagonist sets out, inadvertently building a team along the way. After a series of fortuitous events and a few serious hunches our hero decides it’s time to do more than just survive! Yue Zhong begins to form the foundations of an enormous survival plan… before he suddenly discovers that he has only gotten over the first hurdle….

Unbeknownst to Yue Zhong and company, the world outside of China is mostly a wasteland! Country sized swathes of nuclear radiation and an extreme shortage of supplies in the world after the nuclear explosions was quickly becoming the “norm”. Mutants, Evolved animals and what’s worse, intelligent out of control dinosaurs had quickly appeared and claimed their own sections of the planet. There were several innately powerful Evolved races which appeared that were more than 10 times stronger than humans, nearly all of them possessing bodies impenetrable by normal bullets. The fabled orcs’ were another of these Evolved races, the leader of which had in fact enslaved many of the remaining human beings. Unceremoniously exposed to such a cold and heartless new world, Yue Zhong is faced with a choice: Find a deep dark hole and hope it goes back to “normal”? Or overcome all obstacles and struggle towards Evolution!!!

A young man from the Miaowei Tribe brought up by his strict father, suddenly turned into Rank 1 Wizard on the day he was orphaned. He then obtained the ability to control giant worms. 
Soon after, he found his mother who was in a faraway foreign land by accident. From a small mountain village, he managed to jump into the amazing arena that was a global metropolis.
Thus far, we have a young man who inherited the legacy of mastering ancient demons from an ancient country. 
From Western civilization to other worlds, a fascinating saga is born.

We neared a giant, moss covered stone wall that was about 8 ft high and stretched as far as the eye could see. On either side of the wall you could see that the trees towered over us like giants. "Follow me miss Blackmill, we will need to go through a secret path to get inside, once there you can change and be settled in." Miss Elanor whispers in a focused tone. I follow her as we walk between the trees and the wall before stopping in front of a giant boulder. 

She carefully climbs on top of the boulder, looking around as if she is looking for someone. After a while she helps me up the rock and we both sit in wait. "Now I'll go first, try to land in the hay pile behind the fountain." She sternly whispered before jumping over before I had time to respond. I watch in amazement as she jumps and lands on the other side of the wall without making a sound.

She waves at me as she picks up her basket and moves out of the way for me to land. I start to move to jump only to stop as I see  the silhouette of a person walk our way. I tuck behind the wall as Elanor looks to see who it is. "That is my older step brother Ansul, don't move yet," Her muffled whispers stated on the other side of the wall. "Let me handle this." 

I hear the movement of rustling branches as I crouch on top of the boulder waiting for the ok from Elanor. As the wait grows longer more rustling can be heard followed by the feeling of something flicking my blue striped socks. I feel a shiver down my spine as I hear slithering up the boulder. "I thought I was the only one staking out this house, but I guess I'm not the only bold soul" A man's voice chuckles dripping with a dastardly poisonous tone. 

I look down in fear to see a black and grey scaled snake coiled around my foot. I start to whimper as the snake begins to talk again. "What's with that look? Are you afrai-'' before the snake could finish speaking I stand up shaking my leg in terror of the scaled beast. "Ahhhhh! Get Off!" As I struggled I near the wall and leaned too far and started to feel the motion of gravity take hold. 

As I fall the snake starts to cool farther up my leg and stops near the top half of my thigh. I look frantically for something to hold onto but I am suddenly stopped in the arms of a strong stranger. I land in a way where I am secured by my shoulder and the lower half of my leg. Before I even looked up at my savior I looked at the snake to see it gently coiled my upper thigh on my right leg and seemed to enjoy the soft, warm comfort it  provided which was also pressed up against my left thigh.

In a shriek of terror I stumble and fall out of the stranger's arms as I try to get the snake off me. "Ahhh, no please get off! Please!" My voice is quaking in fear as my red curly hair is frantically flipped around as I look for a stick to pry it off. Even with all this movement the snake didn't move or bite, it instead held on to my thigh tighter. 

"Miss, you need to calm down." The stranger's voice commanded in a startled yet assuring tone. "Ah, miss Blackmill what happened!?" Eleanor's sweet, worried voice called to me as I felt her push the stranger be pushed out of the way. I look up at her with fear filled eyes. "Well after you left to deal with your brother a snake came and coiled around my leg." I stammer out as I look into Elanors angelic eyes that seem to be full of fear and dread. 

"Wait, you know this trespasser? Elanor did you sneak out again!?" The stranger's voice chimes in but Elanor doesn't seem to notice but instead states intensely at the snake in fear. "Ansul do something about the snake and then we can talk." Elanor quakenly says as she moves out of the way with shivers running up and down her body. 

As she moves aside I see a tall handsome man stand before me with short yet flowing red hair and blue eyes. His features on his face are chiseled yet soft and a kind, loving aura followed with him along with the feeling of aggression and hostility. "Humph I got some questions for you Miss Cassy." Ansul says as he coldly stared into my eyes seeming like a bear standing, ready for a fight. 

I gulped in fear as he stared into my eyes with such a powerful and intimidating look. He neal's down and begins to move his hands around the snake's head. "Stay as still as possible, I'll take care of the snake." He mumble's as he reaches closer to the snake's head.  

"All I have to do is grab the head," he continues to mumble as I shakenly watch. But the snake started to uncoil as if he was preparing for- "Wait, don't!" Before anything else could be done I pushed the man's hand away as we both narrowly missed the snake's bite with only me being grazed by its tongue. 

The snake recoils itself and looks at me with it's giant yet human grey eyes almost asking me why I did that. Ansul nelt by my leg, also looked quite puzzled and relieved at the sight of my quick reaction. "That was concerning, do you know how risky that was, miss?" Ansul asks as he reaches for the snake again only for the snake to respond with a flicking tongue. "Says the man who recklessly reached for the snake's head." I respond with a stubborn yet shaken tone. 

With a low hiss from the snake and an angry glare from the snake's grey eyes I start to express my thoughts. "I actually think it's a really bad idea to grab the snakes head or it's neck." I hesitantly remark as I look at the snake with less fear. "Well what do you think I should do then?" Ansul asks as anger fills his eyes. 

I look deeply into the mysterious and gentle eyes of the snake as I remember what startled me in the first place, it talked to me. "It m-most likely will leave once I start to calm down and let go on its own." I reflect out loud as I look back to face the bitter looking Ansul. As I close my eyes and let out a sign. I watch as the snake slowly let's go after some time and slithers past Elanor into the small bushes nearby. 

After the snake disappeared from sight Ansul offered his hand to me as a small gesture. I take his warm hand as I begin to stand as I stare into his eyes. Without the snake near I started to notice the small but attractive detailed features on his face along with his serious yet warm blue eyes.

With a confident and commanding tone he gave me and Elanor Directions "Come with me, I have a few questions for you. As for you Elanor, go find Whina, she sent me to go find you because she has been waiting for you in the green house." As he uttered his last words I took in the detail of his clothes. They are intricate and glamorous for the patterns on the navy blue fabric traced with golden thread. Trousers were as black as a horse's fur though they too were threaded lightly in silver thread. His shoes were those used in riding horses, covered in mud and grass from the outside. 

"Miss Blackmill, we must be off now. I'll take you to my study for the questioning." Ansul says as he brushes aside the branches to make a clear path. Before we leave the safe little nook, I bend over to pick up the basket Elanor left behind. "Miss Blackmill, please carry yourself properly as we walk in the halls of the mansion, as of now you are a trespasser on my land, not a guest." His cold blue eyes looked back at me with a piercing glare as I fixed myself to them. 

"I understand. I will try my best to act accordingly, I do not wish to disrespect you or your family." I calmly remark as I walk through the bushes to be met with a bright light and sweet smelling flowers, I am now officially in the mansion of the great Darwin Nobility. 



Jake marveled at the fight scene he just watched. That was a member of his race...and they were so domineering. Even the massive titans couldn't pose much against them.
'They are too strong.'
Jake wasn't even exaggerating. Just two phaents defeated twenty titans and they did that with clear ease.
"Shocking right. The phaent race is one of the ten strongest god races." M chuckled. He also has heard legends about this mysterious race. To see one in front of him was a huge shock to him. It made him even more excited about mentoring the young lad.
"Now for the second part of you..." M waved his hand again. The scene on the rectangular screen changed. This time, it was not a video, instead, it was a picture.
"The Dragon-Snake race is also strong. Sadly, they do not make it into the top ten god race. But, that doesn't mean they do not possess sufficient strength. They are just as powerful as the lower top ten."
On the screen displayed a humanoid man. His body was covered with soft delicate looking gold scales, with large draconic wings at his back. Of all his features the eye was, well, eye-catching. Eyes like a dragon, but not a dragon's. Eyes like a snake, but not a snake's. It was the perfect mix between both. The slit in the eye was neither too wide nor too thin. Frankly speaking, the humanoid looked like a dragon but had more delicate features. It had sharp claws, that gleamed as if staring at you. He had no need to wear clothes as the scales covered all parts of his body.
"That is the humanoid form of the dragon-snake race. Their original form is different tho."
The picture on the screen changed. It showed a terrifying beast. The beast was about twenty meters long. The wings were the same as the humanoid, but larger. They looked more bat-like. The beast had four limbs and a tail. It had a similar body to a wyvern; it was looking reptilian.
"This is a Dragon-Snake. Different from the regular serpentine dragons that we are familiar with. The dragon-snake is a hybrid race made from the snake race and the western dragon race. It was created to rival the eastern dragons, our typical dragons, which it did. Members of the race are born with a snake half. All dragon-snakes can transform into their snake part. 
The race was known to have led the revolution against the eastern dragons, in which they won."
Jake looked at the dragon-snake shown on the screen. It was intimidating to even look at. Nonetheless, it was very beautiful.
Jake realized why he had claws, wings, and scales during his transformation at the dark forest. It also explained the source of his Dragon-Snake eyes.
As if sensing his thoughts, M said, "Your dragon-snake eyes have never been seen before. It is a mysterious eye, but it must be related to the dragon-snake race."
The Dragon-snake eye was not the same as the eyes of the dragon-snake race. Even though they looked the same, he could feel it, somehow. 
The eye glowed brightly with its reddish-gold color as if agreeing with Jake.
 "As a hybrid, I don't know about the abilities you get from your two sides. So, you will need to figure that out." 
Jake already knew of some of his abilities he possessed. The only ability he could use now was the claw shifting. Jake was able to transform his hands into his dragon-snake form.
He tried it.
At his will, his right hand changed. It was mostly his forearm and his palm. Golden scales appeared on his hand. His fingernails transformed into a claw. The golden claws were sharp and gleamed with a reddish light occasionally. One swipe was all it took to perfectly slice anyone into pieces. 
"This is the only thing I can do. For now." Jake explained to M.
"If used properly, it can be used for deadly attacks," M noted. Jake's claws were sharp to the point where they shined at the tip.
"That's all for today. You should continue your cultivation practice." M concluded Jake's learning session.
"How long can I stay here?"
"You can stay here for as long as you wish, but I would advise against that. Staying here would leave your physical body vulnerable."
Jake thought of it and agreed with him. He didn't want to cultivate in the cultivation room unless necessary. Cultivation isn't all about absorbing essence. It is also about finding your path...your true self. It is a journey. Yes, cultivation is a physical and ethereal journey. A journey of no end. That is why when cultivators can't break through realms, they would go on adventures. Sometimes the adventures can be deadly, but they would still go. Even if it kills them. That is the path of cultivation. 
'A cultivator doesn't just cultivate his state of existence. He also cultivates his mind.'
Jake checked himself. He already had everything he needed. He was good to go.
Jake didn't ask M about how he should leave. He already had an idea.
'Since I'm still technically in my body, I can will myself out. It's like my mind. It is under my control. I feel it will be better if I touch the dungeon while 'willing' myself out.'
The idea Jake had was to push his corporeal body out of the dungeon. Since the dungeon was inside of his body, it will be easy to do that. All he needed was to think...think of himself out of the dungeon. It was also better if he touched the dungeon surface(body). He could get help from the dungeon.
M smiled as he saw Jake's thinking expression, "Remember to not waste any time. You will need every bit of it."
Jake nodded at M as he left. He touched the floor of the white room and thought purely of leaving the dungeon, while also transmitting the thought to the dungeon.
*Poof*
And like that Jake disappeared, leaving M alone. 
Jake found himself back in his body.
"Guess I should start now."
He looked around him and noticed a window. He was surprised that he didn't notice that before.
"Wow." Jake silently marveled at the sight beyond the window, "Perfect. What a perfect sight!"
It was night so the moon was out. The blue moon shined brightly. 
When Jake looked outside, he could feel the moon's gaze on his face. It was as if the moon was smiling at him. Moon rays circled the skies. They were singing, dancing in the still night as if welcoming their queen. 
Everything was serene...and perfect.
Jake loves perfect things. He also hates ugly things. Nevertheless, he understood that nothing is ever perfect, 'But that is the point, chasing perfection is way better than being perfect. I think those that are perfect will always feel so empty. They would feel nothing.'
Jake thought as he gazed at the beautiful. It was akin to a mother's smile, a mother looking at her children.
Jaked appreciated the scene for a few more minutes before he looked away. Though he would love to continue gazing, He had work to do.
Jake took out three books from his storage ring. They were the techniques he got from the dungeon.
They were the Godly Battle Techniques, Tempest Sword Techniques, and the Phaent Movement Techniques. Jake didn't just choose them on a whim. He picked the ones suitable for him.
The Godly Battle Techniques was chosen because of its history with him. When Jake was at the Academy, he only learned basic stuff. He learned all his fighting technique from a book named Basic Battle Technique created by the Triad, the same organization which created the Godly Battle Technique. The Godly Battle Technique was not just a technique. The book contains a whole series of techniques.
'At the Academy, the basic version of it was not popular because of its difficulty. Only brilliant minds could master it. Techniques in the book included the soft punch, hook kick, and many others. It also included effective ways of basic attacks like punches and kicks. It was really useful, so I expect no less from its godly version.'
