Both were from prominent families except that they represented two completely different ends of the spectrum. She was rebellious, adamant, and a daredevil for a daughter. He was a paragon, an ideal leader, a picture-perfect son. She fooled others into thinking they had her under ropes but in reality, she defied every decision made that wasn’t hers. He followed the golden path paved for him and never questioned what more he could possibly need or want, unaware that what he lacked was the ability to choose for himself. Similar predicaments yet different lives. She thrived in danger and spontaneity. Order, predictability, and control kept him grounded. Both were fairly satisfied with their lives — that is until their fates intertwined and knotted itself together. As we see from the title, the snake and the mirror are the two most important things in the story. This homeopathic doctor encountered a snake, the snake fell on the doctor. When the snake saw its reflection in the mirror, it was more interesting in that and the doctor’s life was saved.

Sheng Fenghua looked around, and Si Zhanbei was also looking, but he did not find anything.
The two of them retracted their gazes and looked at each other, feeling a little disappointed. After a pause, Sheng Fenghua said to Si Zhanbei, "Zhan Bei, I'll watch from below. Why don't you go up and look for it and see if the switch is on the top? "
"Okay, you be careful! " Si Zhanbei nodded and instructed, then went up the escalator.
Hu Dongyang saw Si Zhanbei coming up and immediately asked, "captain, is there anything down there? "
"Fox and the others are all down there. "
"What, they are down there? " Hu Dongyang immediately jumped up when he heard that. The problem of being scared stiff by the snake had been cured. As he walked towards the escalator, he asked, "captain, why didn't you save them? "
Si Zhanbei looked deeply at Hu Dongyang. He did not say anything and went up to look for the switch.
Hu Dongyang did not get a reply. His face was full of fog. Then, he went down the escalator and decided to go take a look.
Qin Feng and the others who were guarding the door also heard Si Zhanbei's words. They could not help but feel happy and asked, "Captain, are they okay? "
"They are injured and unconscious. " Si Zhanbei replied as he searched the room.
Soon, he found a box that looked like a switch. However, there were also many snakes coiled around the box.
Si Zhanbei looked at the snakes and his scalp felt numb. The whole room was filled with poisonous snakes. If he was accidentally bitten, he would be in trouble.
However, if that place was really a switch, he had to first get rid of those snakes.
Si Zhanbei looked around, trying to find a stick or something. Unfortunately, there was nothing in the room except for snakes.
He did not find anything useful, so he could only say to Qin Feng and the others outside, "help me find a wooden stick. "
After hearing Si Zhanbei's words, Gang Zi immediately ran to find a wooden stick. Not long after, he really found a stick.
"Captain, here! " Gang Zi entered the house and handed the stick to Si Zhanbei. Then, he watched as he went to get rid of the snake next to the switch.
When the snake next to the switch saw that Si Zhanbei actually used the stick to chase them away, it was a little annoyed. The snake stretched out its body, and with a spit of its tongue, it bit towards Si Zhanbei's arm.
Si Zhanbei looked at it, and his face darkened. He raised his hand, and the stick was lifted up, hitting towards the snake.
However, unexpectedly, before his stick hit the snake, it fell down by itself. And it wasn't just one snake that fell off, the other snakes also fell off.
Si Zhanbei looked at this scene and was stunned. He didn't understand why these snakes suddenly changed their minds However, he didn't think too much about it. He quickly walked to the switch and tried to control it.
As he moved, the iron cage below also started to move.
Sheng Fenghua looked at it and was delighted. She said loudly, "Zhan Bei, you found the switch. "
Hearing Sheng Fenghua's words, Si Zhanbei was also delighted. He then said to her, "wife, you command. I'll control it. It's more convenient this way. "
"Okay! " Sheng Fenghua replied and then gave the command, "move to the left first. "
Hearing that, Si Zhanbei immediately pressed the left shift button.
"move to the right again! "
"MOVE FORWARD! "
Following Sheng Fenghua's command, the three iron cages approached the handrail bit by bit, reaching out to touch it.
When the iron cages were almost close enough, it was already time to save people. Only then did Sheng Fenghua let si Zhanbei stop.

It was early morning, close to 5 AM when Sarah and Aiden approached the main base of the poachers with their group.
They decided on an early start because it is a high probability that the poachers will still be sleeping or just waking up and their alertness will be low. Also, most of them should be in the base before they go to check the traps or whatever other tasks they have. Sarah and Aiden want to reduce the risk of being caught off guard by poachers who are returning to the base.
While on the topic of other poachers, the sooner they attack, the smaller is the risk that these guys will be alerted of the happenings in the other two bases from the previous day.
Kitty is missing, and Sarah is concerned that she is stuck in a trap or that she left, but Aiden told her that Kitty is probably sleeping somewhere, and to focus on the mission. And she knows that he is right at least about the need to focus on the mission because while approaching the base camp of the poachers, they encountered two poachers who were checking the traps. Sarah hopes that those two are the only ones who like to wake up before sunrise.
They are observing the camp from the distance and this is definitely a much bigger base than the other two they raided on the previous day. This base has one large building that is used for sleeping and food preparation and two smaller buildings. One is used as an office and the other one for the storage of things that should be kept off the rain. They have a generator running, so there is electricity as well.
On the left is a large area filled with cages, more than half of them are with animals inside. Animals are unusually quiet which means that they are either used to being in a cage, or sleeping, or drugged.
Two drones provided them with the information that there are twenty-four poachers inside the camp. Eighteen are in the bed, presumably sleeping. Two men are outside, smoking and chatting and four are in one of the two smaller buildings.
Aiden swiftly laid out a plan to take out the six guys who are awake first, with a priority not to make noise and alert the others. Next, they will storm the building where eighteen people are sleeping.
Aiden wanted to use drones to knock down the first six targets, but Master Hollow stopped him. "Only through trials we learn and grow. This mission is a good learning point for my disciples."
Aiden was not sure he wants those disciples to be part of the plan at all. What is wrong with knocking everyone out? 
"Yes, but in order to learn, they need to survive the trial because dead people don't learn and grow.", Aiden responded. "There are too many enemies who are armed. And this is not a game."
Master Hollow agreed with him, but… "They have the four of you to show them the way. They will not have a better learning opportunity."
Aiden pressed his lips into a line and gave in. With this, Bo, Souta, and Wind were part of the attack team, and drones will not knock out anyone. Master Hollow gave them a few inputs and then moved to watch from the side.
It all went smoothly. In less than five minutes, twenty-four poachers were either knocked out or tied up (most of them were knocked out). They dragged them out, in front of the biggest building, and tied them well because even the unconscious ones will wake up eventually.
Sarah sent a signal to Mishi to start with his part. She hoped that he will not be too upset that she is waking him up. It's almost 5:30 AM local time, which means that it's 2:30 AM in Romania. And she was not sure if Eliza joined him by now. Eliza stayed with her parents in Budapest while Mishi was busy with opening up Ceresc Solutions. Eliza's due date is one week away, so there is a chance that she decided to stay in Hungary until after the baby is born.
She was happy when less than a minute later Mishi confirmed that he received her signal and he will start his part. Nothing in his message indicated that he is upset, and that is a good thing. 
Sarah looked around and sighed when she could not spot Kitty even with her Eve-lens. She hopes that Kitty knows how all this is the punishment these poachers are getting because they killed Kitty's real mother. And she hopes that Kitty is safe. Wherever she is.
Bo, Souta, and Wind stayed at the center of the camp with Master Hollow and discussed this mission. Master Hollow is using every opportunity to teach them. He told them how their moves changed under stress because this is the real thing and not the training grounds.
Sarah, Aiden, Haru, and Nala went to release the animals.
They were all surprised by the variety of animals found here. It confirmed Aiden's theory that this is something like a distribution center because some of the animals are brought here from other places. They are all from Asia, but definitely not local. Like sand cats which can be found about one thousand miles to the West, in Turkmenistan.
Other than black bears and red foxes which are common, they also found exotic (and endangered species) such as radiated tortoises, fennec foxes, and amur leopards. There was a section with aquarium-like glass containers where reptiles and small rodents were kept.
"We can't release all of them here. Some don't belong in this forest.", Sarah said.
Aiden saw that Sarah is ready to adopt them all. He panicked internally, is their home going to turn into a ZOO? Many of these animals are not legal! Well, Kitty is not legal in California either, but that is only one large cat. There are hundreds of animals here!
He told himself to stay calm and think about this rationally… "The tortoises can go near the lake. They will be fine there. As for the others, let's release the ones which are old enough and belong here, and then we will see what is left."
To his relief, Sarah easily agreed to this.
They loaded a few cages with foxes and wolves in one of the trucks. There was a mini-crane available to lift heavier cages. 
Haru and Nala drove about five minutes down the road before opening the cages and releasing the animals. And then they drove the truck back to get the next batch of animals.
They stopped around 8 AM in order to have breakfast, and then they resumed their 'release the animals' operation. Guys took turns loading the animals and Aiden and Haru drove one truck each while making sure that at least two people are watching over the prisoners.
Master Hollow walked around the base when he was not giving his insights related to the animals. He said that most of the animals in the cages will survive in this forest, even if they are from a different area. Aiden was happy to hear this.
The building with an office had a map of the forest with locations of traps marked. Sarah was delighted about this, now they can make sure they take care of all of them! From that map they also found out about a smaller lake nearby, only five minutes' walk from the main base and they released the tortoises there.
Bo and Master Hollow were watching over prisoners, while Aiden, Haru, Souta, and Wind were loading the cages in the trucks.
Nala went South, deeper in the forest, with one container which had a large krait snake. They were not sure how to handle venomous snakes, but Master Hollow confirmed that this one is harmless because the snake does not have her venom glands; they were removed, obviously as a preparation to make her a harmless pet, and he also said that the snake will be able to find food in this forest.
Sarah saw that everything is going fine, and she decided to check on Bo and Master Hollow…

"Why would you ask me such a thing?" 
"Until a few weeks ago I would say that there is no such thing as destiny. That we are all masters of our lives and that everything depends on our actions, or lack of it. But I can't help but wonder: why did I not push you away? ... Why does it feel like everything will be OK as long as we are together? ... You are a piece of me that I never knew was missing. After Kraftvoll reached her side, Teacher Kyleen said to him, "Your practical test is going to be a lot harder than the others. To pass this test, you must beat 2 level three seishin beasts."
After hearing those words. Kraftvoll was shocked by what his homeroom teacher had said to him. Even all of the other students of the 210th class were shocked by the words that came out from their homeroom teacher's mouth.
"Two level 3 seishin beasts!?"
"Is that even possible!?"
A moment later, Kraftvoll suddenly showed a smile on his face. He knew that with his current power, he could beat one level three seishin beast but he was not sure if he will face two at the same time. 
Still, he was very excited to try him. There was no need for him to be nervous because it was not something that he did not try yet and not something that he cannot do.
"Let's do this!" said Kraftvoll in response to his homeroom teacher.
After hearing her student's response, Teacher Kyleen showed a hint of a smile on her face. 'This kid has some guts, huh.' she thought to herself.
A moment later, Teacher Kyleen looked behind her students. After realizing her face, one of the staff of the academy nodded to her.
A little after that exchange, the staff suddenly went running somewhere. After a few minutes, more staff of the academy came along with him. 
When they came, they also brought two cages that were imprisoning two seishin beasts inside both of these cages. The first cage had a snake that formed a seishin beast core. It already condensed its seishin beast core to the point that it reached level three.
A seishin beast that belonged to the special race was imprisoned into the second stage. It was a lesser angel like the seishin beast that Kraftvoll and his sworn brothers hunted in their trip to the central part of the Valkyrie Forest.
'Wow! A snake that reached level three!' Kraftvoll thought to himself. He did not mind the Lesser Angel at all because he already has seen it a few times before.
After the arrival of the seishin beasts, Teacher Kyleen decided to start Kraftvoll's practical test right away. "On my count of three, the staff would release the seishin beast at the same time," said Teacher Kyleen.
In response to his homeroom teacher, Kraftvoll nodded while he was going to his battle mode. After seeing the response of her student, Teacher Kyleen started counting. She said, "Three... Two... One... Fight!"
After the staff heard the word "fight", they decided to let the seishin beasts go at that very moment. As soon as the gates of the cages were opened, the two seishin beasts charged toward Kraftvoll.
In response to this, Kraftvoll decided to insta-cast a seishin spell. He shouted, "Copper Guard!"
In the first moment of the battle, he insta-casted a seishin spell of the earth element at the Seishin General rank. During the past months, Kraftvoll managed to learn the secrets of converting minerals from the earth to form into a new and improved seishin spell of the earth element.
'Thank goodness, I already mastered this! It's really different if I just copied it and trained in doing it!' Kraftvoll thought to himself as some of his inner seishin essences came out of his body.
Using some of his inner seishin essences, Kraftvoll was able to conjure an armor made up of copper. After some of his inner seishin essences went below the ground, and slowly those inner seishin essences of his lifted particles of copper.
Those copper started cladding around Kraftvoll's body until he was fully covered with it. After getting his elemental armor on, Kraftvoll shouted, "Here we go!"
As the two seishin beasts were charging toward him from two different directions, Kraftvoll decided to use a seishin spell on the big snake seishin beast that was charging toward him from the left. He insta-cast, "Blackout!"
Suddenly, some of his inner seishin essences came out of him. A moment later, all of it suddenly turned into particles of darkness. 
After these particles of darkness condensed with each other, Kraftvoll decided to use it to blind the snake seishin beast. 
As soon as it was hit by the Blackout seishin spell, the snake seishin beast halted its charge toward Kraftvoll because it lost its sight after being hit by Kraftvoll's Blackout seishin spell. 
In his right, the Lesser Angel was still charging toward him. Kraftvoll decided to chant a seishin spell to use against that seishin beast that was charging toward him.
He chanted, "Oh ye who represents the breath of the world, make thy master elusive, Wind Blade!"
Green seishin essences started to gather around Kraftvoll when he started chanting. In the middle of his chant, those green seishin essences started to transform into the particles of air one by one. 
As he reached the end of his chant, those particles of air started to form around each of Kraftvoll's hands. In the middle of Kraftvoll's chant, the Lesser Angel started forming swords made up of light particles using its inner seishin essences.
Although it was just a low-level seishin beast if compared to Kraftvoll's Archangel, Angela, it has still some intelligence. That's why it was able to think of creating its own weapon to fight against Kraftvoll with his Wind Blade seishin spell.
When the Lesser Angel managed to reach Kraftvoll, it used its swords of lights to attack Kraftvoll. In response to its move, Kraftvoll used his blades of wind to deflect its attacks.
'I really hate fighting Lesser Angel! If only I could use Blackout seishin spell against it!' Kraftvoll thought to himself while he was clashing against the Lesser Angel.
The Lesser Angel was a seishin beast with light element affinity, after all. With its element, it will only dispel Kraftvoll's Blackout seishin spell easily.
Kraftvoll and the Lesser Angel clashed using their elemental weapons for a minute. As it drags on, Kraftvoll started to become tired of clashing with the Lesser Angel. Due to the situation, he decided to change his battle strategy.

The cages were stacked in front of her shop doors, covered by dark cloth, hiding the Beasts beneath, they were silent and not a single cage so much as rattled.
Akirai rose a brow, why were they so quiet, weren´t Beasts supposed to be violent if not tamed?
She shrugged and counted the cages, three total... wasn´t she supposed to get five? Where was the rest?
The E-mail had clearly stated how many Beasts she was supposed to get and when, seems like the people from before had managed to fail at both, Akirai had a feeling she just got scammed by those assholes... she didn´t get their license plate now did she?
Akirai hissed and resolved to catch her own Beasts if the people and company were so unreliable.
She felt her eye twitch again as she already suspected the worst as she gripped the coars cloth, she had all intention of pulling it down, but decided against it as her fingers loosend.
Let´s bring them in first she thought and tried hefting one of the cages up, she used to much force and stumbled backwards a bit before regaining balance.
Why was the cage so damn light?
She had a bad feeling, sighed and willed the door to open and stepped inside, setting the cage down in the middle of the room and left to heft the other two in, neither of those was very heavy.
She didn´t like this one bit.
She stepped inside just as Sylvies voice chimed in.
"You now have a total of three Beasts inside your Store, one (1) is Healthy, (2) are sick, please heal them before deciding what to do with them."
"Three? Did you not count Lynna, Sylvie?" Akirai asked, already knowing the answer.
"No Host, Lynna was included in my count." She replied and Akirai felt like cursing these bastards down to hell, they can´t give her healthy Beasts, no, they even have the gall to bring her a dead one.
And that´s why Akirai can´t stand most people, at all.
She pulled the cloth off of the cages, already expecting to find either a dead or sick Beast in them so the sight that greeted her was unsuprising, she clicked her tung, inside the cage she uncovered lay a long dead rat, a hole going through its stomach, it had been brown in colour once.
She would ask Sylvie what to do with that later as she went on, the next cage was uncovered as a snake was revealed, it looked like a boomslang, just maybe twice as big as the average earth boomslang, it looked sick although no wounds showed on its body... from the outside.
The third revealed an owl with a wing that was mangled and twisted in an odd angel, blood covered the body and Akirai wondered if those asshles had just bagged her delivery and caught these things to replace the original ones.
She rubbed the brinch of her nose, feeling the headache seep in, she hated people like that, did she already say that?
"How do I even begin to heal them Sylvie? I´m a lot, but I´m no doctor." She said, and it was true, she could treat some wounds on animals and humans, but 1. theses were Beasts and 2.  she didn´t even know where to begin with the snake, and the owls wing was far out of her league.
"Host can put them in the Beast nursery, although the Silver clawed owl might need further assistance." Sylvie informed her and Akirai sighed, already fed up with humanity once again, she picked the snake up with her Domain and brought it down to the nursery, letting it rest in the stable and told Sylvie to activate it for the day.
"Sylvie? Balance." She requested as she contemplated as to what to do with this owl.
"Host has a balance of 57 Points."
"Great, upgrade another nursery to level 1 and activate it then." Akirai said, already bringing the cage along.
"As you wish Host, 11 Points have been deducted, 46 Points remaining."
A light lit up beside the second stable and Akirai stepped inside, it was identical to the second one.
"Alright, thank you Sylvie, Status of these two please?" Akirai muttered, itching to go back to bed.

Akirai really wanted to go back to sleep now, this was just one giant headache for her.
"Does Host wish to make Beast feed from the scavenged plants?" Sylvie asked, distracting Akirai from her pounding headache that might as well be a migrane.
"Why?" She asked, annoyed at the situation.
"Host can make feed that accelerate the healing factor, or make them stronger." Sylvie informed her stressed Host.
"???" Akirai had question marks above her head, she was sure of it, "What?"
"..." Akirai was speechless yet again because of Sylvie, they were making this a habit, huh? 
"---Forget it, you do that, I can´t cook to save my live." Akirai said, done with this day that was just getting worse and worse by the minute.
"You do that, I´m decorating the shop with the plants I brought back, where are they anyway?" She asked.
"In the basement, ready to be taken." Sylvie answered, seeming occupied with something, making the food maybe?
"Basement? Right, the shop did have one." She mused and made her way downstairs, took the door in the right corner and went down a pair of stairs that she had ignored before, it was like walking into a garden, plants of all kinds everywhere.
"Do I have dirt suitable for those things?" She really hadn´t thought this through.
"Left corner." Sylvie chimed in and Akirai nodded and turned to look... jup dirt.
For now, the pots provided by Sylvie would have to do... and maybe an overturned shelf.

Where did the jungle come from?
They were still in the domain, but Sylvie didn´t remember there being so many plants anywhere, and espacially not in the shop area.
... proccesing...
Ah... Host was done renovating using the plants brought back from the Realm.
The Host had even used one of the standing shelves as a pot to plant plants in, the dirt filling uo the shelves the overturned shelf.
Sylvie wasn´t even joking, there were plants everywhere, and the display window was covered by a sheet of cloth, likely to accomadate the plants need for dim light.
Sylvie did a quick scan and noted that the plants had all they needed to grow and not wilt, seems like the Host had fun, and talent for plants as some needed darker corners to thrive in and others needed wetter soil, they had all they needed, what a suprise.
"The Beast feed is done Host, would you like to take a look?" She asked her Host, ignoring the damn jungle that was the shopping area, it looked nice at least.

Akirai had been "Unique" ever since she was a child- Orphan, unwanted, stubborn- a street rat.

But Akirai became "Unique" in another way after she died in an unfortunate hiking accident, a landslide- there was nothing to be done.

But of course Akirai´s stubborn self didn´t let it end there.

Third person POV 

Cerberus Kérberos, often referred to as the hound of Hades, is a multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving.

He was the offspring of the monsters Echidna and Typhon, and was usually described as having three heads, a serpent for a tail, and snakes protruding from multiple parts of his body.

Cerberus is primarily known for his capture by Heracles, one of Heracles' twelve labours.

Cerberus vary, including the number of his heads. Cerberus was usually three-headed, though not always. Cerberus had several multi-headed relatives. His father was the multi snake-headed Typhon.

Cerberus was the brother of three other multi-headed monsters. the multi-snake-headed Lernaean Hydra; Orthrus, the two-headed dog who guarded the Cattle of Geryon; and the Chimera, who had three heads: that of a lion, a goat, and a snake.

And, like these close relatives, Cerberus was, with only the rare iconographic exception, multi-headed.

the earliest description of Cerberus, Hesiod's Theogony, Cerberus has fifty heads, while Pindar gave him one hundred heads. However, later writers almost universally give Cerberus three heads.

An exception is the Latin poet Horace's Cerberus which has a single dog head, and one hundred snake heads.[7] Perhaps trying to reconcile these competing traditions, Apollodorus's Cerberus has three dog heads and the heads of "all sorts of snakes" 

along his back, while the Byzantine poet John Tzetzes (who probably based his account on Apollodorus) gives Cerberus fifty heads, three of which were dog heads, the rest being the "heads of other beasts of all sorts".

In art Cerberus is most commonly depicted with two dog heads , never more than three, but occasionally with only one. On one of the two earliest depictions , a Corinthian cup from Argos, now lost, Cerberus was shown as a normal single-headed dog.

Priamoss heart quickened as he heard the sound of something he didn't like. The heavy footsteps clashed with the floor the same time with his heartbeat, it's like someone was asking for him to have a heart attack.

Euryale gently wrapped her hands around priamoss arms and led him slowly backwards. When they were enough spaces back she grabbed a firm grip on priamoss wrist and ran into a dark hallway with torches lining it.

Priamos tried not to make a sound as he was running for his life being chased by god knows what. The huge footsteps banging against the ground canceled out their tiny footsteps banging against the ground.

They ran until they were suddenly in this huge darkened are with a bunch of cages hanging from the ceiling, like priamoss but more secure. Their was a person or a 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 in each one. Priamos instantly thought in his brain

Jackpot.

He pulled euryale to the side so they were covered by the darkness. He told her everything, starting from them activating his powers and ending with them coming up with this plan. Euryale looked surprised but quickly got over it.

"So what just release them from their cages" she asked obliviously. Priamos looked around before looking back at euryale shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. "I guess" he answered her.

"Ok let's do it"

He comes from a poor family but he gets by. He has a mom, a little sister, and a best friend, he feels his life so far his pretty comfortable. That is until a prophecy, gods, and really long hair turn up and change his life around.

Thomas walked towards Scarlett and held his hand out as he said "If you don't want the potion then we should at least hurry." Scarlett glared at him as she said "Don't expect to hear me speak like that again." Thomas stared at her confused as he asked "What's so bad about being a bit upset?" Scarlett turned her head and ignored him. Thomas sighed as he put his hand down and said "We're wasting time." Scarlett glanced at him and stood up as she said "It'll be quicker if we search together." Thomas nodded as he said "I'll be dashing around the city." Scarlett began to fly as she said "I'll search the sky." Thomas stared at her wings as he sighed and said "I'll fix your clothes later." Scarlett nodded and flew off into the opposite direction in search of kidnappers. Thomas shrugged as he put the potion back into his satchel and said "Guess I'll save this for later." Thomas began to look around as he ran through the town. After searching for a while Thomas ran into Toby who was standing outside of a run down building. Thomas stopped running and stared at Toby as he mumbled "What could you be up to?" Thomas watched as Toby walked into the building. As Toby entered the building Thomas followed behind him while muttering "I'm gonna be in a lot of trouble when I get back." Once Thomas was in the building he began to look around as he asked "Anyone home?" As he asked this he felt a hand cover his mouth and began fo go unconscious. Thomas began to struggle but the person who grabbed Thomas was holding on too tightly. Thomas continued to struggle until he fell completely unconscious. When Thomas finally woke up he found himself in a small cage. Thomas looked around the room and seen Toby behind bars  shouting at a man. As Thomas attempted to move he slumped over and hit his head on the cage. The man glanced at Thomas and began to walk towards him as he said "A strong demi human isn't something you see everyday." Thomas glanced around the man and asked "Who are you?" The man glared at Thomas as he said "Don't push yourself I'd prefer my new merchandise to be in one piece." Thomas glared at him through the cage as he smiled and said "Good try but I already have a slave seal." The man laughed as he said "I can remove that one and sell you good as new, but unfortunately the hero tried to interfere with my business." The man bent down to Thomas's cage as he said "You also tried to interfere, but I can get away with selling you." Thomas yawned as he asked "What time is it?" The man laughed as he said "The time shouldn't matter to the merchandise." Thomas smiled as he said "I'd hate to stick around and be a bother so maybe it's best if I break out of here." The man laughed as he said "I wouldn't bother, I stuck a talisman on you, to prevent you from using any movement spells to get out." Thomas glanced down at his stomach and seen the two talisman. Thomas smiled as he said "I don't need a movement spell to break out of this." The man turned around and began to walk away as he said "I'd like to see you try and break out of that cage." Thomas began to punch the bars as he said "Fine by me." The man glanced at Thomas and said "Your fist will break before that cage." Thomas laughed as he said "Theirs only one way to find out." Toby glanced at Thomas as he said "These cages and bars are tougher than my armor, theirs no way you'll break them." Thomas began to punch the bars faster and harder as he said "I don't care what they're made of if I don't get back soon Lily will be extremely mad." The man glanced at Thomas as he started to walk towards the door as he said "I'll go check on the others, you two new captures be nice." Toby glanced at Thomas as he sighed and said "You should know when to give up." Thomas smirked as he said "What's the point of giving up, I can feel my mana flowing back into me." Toby glanced at Thomas as he asked "What good will that do you?" Thomas glanced at him and shouted "Aura release!" As Thomas's aura spread around him he began to punch the bars harder and harder as he smiled and said "Why give up when its not needed." Toby glanced at him as he said "So you asked the time as a simple distraction?" Thomas broke the bars and glanced at Toby as he said "I actually asked the time so I could calculate when my mana would come back." As the man walked back into the room Thomas glared at him and cracked his knuckles as he said "I'm pretty sure you said something along the lines of I wanna see you break that cage, right?" The man stared at Thomas nervously as he stared at the aura and pointed at him while shouting "You were the demi human who fought the king weren't you?" Thomas walked towards Toby's cell and tore the bars from the ground as he smiled and said "Toby your lucky that the ground of your cell wasn't the same material as the bars." Toby stepped out of the cell as he smiled and said "Lucky me, in that case care to join me and beat this bastard up?" Thomas deactivated his aura as he sighed and said "Using mana right after getting it back makes it especially exhausting so you can handle him." Toby glanced at Thomas's bloody hands as he asked "Are you alright." Thomas began to walk towards the man as he said "I'll be fine once this bastard sets all of his kidnapping victims free." The man began to crawl away from Thomas as he said "Please spare me." Thomas picked the man up by his shirt as he said "Give me the keys to the cages and cells." The man began to frantically search through all of his pockets as he said "Of course of course, I wouldn't want to make you angry." The man pulled keys out of his pocket and tossed them onto the floor as he said "There I gave you the keys so now you can let me go." Thomas tossed the man on the floor in front of Toby as he smiled and said "I agreed that I'd let you go but I can't speak for him." The man looked up at Toby in fear as he nervously said "I was just joking when I said I was gonna kill you and toss your corpse off of a cliff." Thomas picked up the keys and glanced at Toby as he asked "Do you kill?" Toby shook his head as he said "I'll probably just beat the hell out of this guy and turn him over to the town." Thomas glanced at the man and said "Count yourself lucky, because I'm not nearly as generous as him." As Thomas entered the other room he seen cages lining the walls with dozens upon dozens of people locked up in cages. As Thomas approach the first cage he peered into it and seen two kids at the back of the cage shaking in fear. Thomas stared at them as he said "You guys don't need to worry anymore, I'm here to set you all free." As Thomas began to unlock the cages he heard the man screaming as Toby beat him and tossed him around the room. Thomas sighed as he said "It's probably best that Toby doesn't kill but he could at least keep it down." After making it to the final cage Thomas peered into it and seen a small snake like girl shivering. Thomas opened the cage and glanced at her as he said "Your free to go now." The snake girl glanced at Thomas and began to slowly crawl towards him as she muttered "Please help me." Thomas sighed and picked her up. She stared at him and began to wrap her tail around his arm as she said "I need warmth." Thomas glanced behind him at all of the other victims who varied from human, demi human, and some other species that Thomas didn't recognize. Thomas glanced back at the snake girl and asked "What do you need?" She stared at him and began to mutter "I need heat." Thomas turned around and stared at all the other people as he shouted "Make your way out through that door, the hero Toby will show you how to get out." Thomas glanced back at the snake girl as she said "Please I'm dying, I need heat." Thomas held his other hand away from her and said "Blaze." As Fire covered his hand he asked "Is this good?" She stared at the fire and nodded as Thomas began to walk out of the building while saying "This fire will have to do for now until we get outside."

A fox like boy with two differently colored eyes and a bad case of amnesia. Join him on his journey as he is sent to another dimension as he fights off and out wits his enemy because much like a fox he is very cunning and clever. Be by his side as he gets stronger learning new techniques and some magic. Of course what would a story be if he didn’t already have some sort of uncanny ability? Discover this and who he is as you read.
Btw I’ll be using a ton of different types of creature from all sorts of mythologies so stay tuned and see what happens when he fights some creatures that you’ve probably heard of before.
This story very much disappointed me, I enjoyed writing it but I feel like it could’ve been much better so I’m going to redo it all, I’ll leave the original here incase people would like to read the original but I’m going to completely redo it with a completely new story.

Having traveled for six more hours he decided that he was going to rest and stop here next to this river he came upon as he was tired and wanted to stop for the day. 'Hopefully I won't run into any trouble tomorrow as I just want to travel and take in the scenery.'

   Cedric wakes up in the morning hearing birds chirping over head, and water rushing from the river. He packs up his stuff and starts off again he new which defection to go since he mark a tree which his sharp rock.

  As he walks he notices the forest becomes darker in an eerie kind of way he starts to notice what looks like a path to his right and contemplates on wether or not to see where it leads to or just stay on the plan of going straight tords the mountain. 

  ' I can always just come back to here after seeing where this trail leads to.' So he decides to go see where the trail leads to. The trail looks like it had been traveled through a lot as the leaves and vegetation was all beaten down.

  As he walks along he sees blood on the trail he was walking along he ends up at the entrance of a village but the blood stops at the entrance where someone had dragged them selves to. He enters the village and looks around but besides the body nobody was there. He also noticed that there wasn't anything there in terms of valuables or stuff. He looked around and saw cages one was open there was something in it and there was a huge snake that had the same eyes of the creature he came upon in that field the snake was as big as a bus.

  The snake like creature lifted its head up and looked at him and stared at him Cedric looked behind the snake like creature and their was was another one. He thought about releasing them but remembered what happened in the field so he was hesitant. 

  He walked closer to the cage to get a better look at it and the first one had charcoal black scales while the other one had an grayish color to its scales. The two just stared at him not making any movements or any reaction. Which was starting to freak him out a little because he expected the creatures to have some sort of reaction.

  Then when he started to step away to leave they started to hiss at him so he looked back at them and moved back forwards them a little which caused them to stop. Then they continued to stare at him again emotionless. 

  He wondered what they would do if he let them out. He didn't want to have them attack and be potentially eaten by them. Curiosity got the better of him even though it was a potentially bad decision and his last.... so he opened the cages the snakes moved tords him and stopped right in front of him. He got a notification from his system- "congratulations you have now subjugated these cold blooded beasts and are now loyal to you."

  ' what this is even possible why didn't they eat me?' He didn't mind this though as of now he has companions to keep him company and protect him. So he went back to the trail since their wasn't anything else there but their was a some sort of flute on the mans body at the entrance so he took it with him. Who knows he might just teach himself how to use it so he entertain himself. 

  Once he got back to where he was before he started on his journey again onwards to the mountain.

A average guy who is just minding his own business when he dies and reincarnates as a dwarf in a strange world where he tries to figure out how his system is supposed to help him and what is he even supposed to do in this strange new place.

As Jordie went about the task of comforting baby Minos, the System decided to pipe up.

[Congratulations, the host has unlocked the skill: "Giant's Strength" due to increasing affinity with Minos. Please refer to the skill page at your earliest convenience.]

'I un-wait...did I unlock it myself or did you do it for me?'

[...]

'Oh now you're being all mysterious and mystical? How convenient...speaking of convenience...'

While Jordie comforted Minos,bouncing him up and down while gently patting his back, he suddenly noticed that out of the corner of his eye a strange snake-like thing attempting to slither away. 

At this point, Minos was closing to falling asleep and Jordie didn't want to disturb him by heavily stomping on the mimic's tail out of the blue.

'Unless...'

Jordie continued to bounce baby Minos within his arms, slowly walking closer and closer to the slithering mimic. Once he got close enough, Jordie suddenly hopped up in rhythm with his bounces of baby Minos and landed with a thump on the mimic's tail.

"Hop and...stomp!"

"Eep!"

"That thing is still alive?!," Marianne exclaimed in alarm.

The silver rattle mimic began to rapidly flail about in an attempt to free it's tail from Jordie's boot heel. Unsurprisingly it wasn't able to due to Jordie's recently unlocked skill and having been shaken like a rattle earlier.

"What in the name of the gods is that thing?"

"I think it's a mimic, but no mimic I've seen before...," George commented while scratching his chin.

As the mimic kept flailing about, Jordie used [Analyze] on it to figure out this thing's deal.

George and Marianne stared at the flailing mimic, curious as to what Jordie was planning to do now that he had basically captured it. 
"So what are you going to do with it?," Marianne asked first, "It looked pretty intimidating before, but now..."

"I say sell it," George commented, "This things looks to be made of silver and I know rich types and collectors love weird stuff like this. If it's too much of a hassle to bring it back alive, you could just kill it and sell the corpse. You'd get less, but it's also less likely to try and kill us or escape."

At George's rather cold words, the mimic began to flail even harder.

'Hey System, got any means to carry around captured monsters?'

When Jordie was given the brain dump treatment, he learned that this world didn't have a means of easily transporting captured wild monsters.

Contracted monsters could be handled via habitat disks due to some weird magical interaction between the tamer, the monster and the item, but that didn't apply to wild monsters. Jordie wasn't sure about the semantics, but he remembered it had something to do with "aura interference causing a repelling effect." There were apparently some magical treasures that could store any wild monsters, but they were very few of them in market circulation.

'Wait a minute...'

Using his mind, Jordie accessed the Systems' store page and began to look up cages. Weirdly enough, the System did in-fact sell cages and for a weirdly large and specific types of creatures.

'A...a succubus what now?'

[Host does not need to worry about it, succubi are only found in the Infernal Realms or in the employ of unsavory individuals.]

'Of course they are...'

Jordie filtered through the results until he found the cages designed specifically designed for mimics. The cage he needed was a size small, but the price was the rest of his gold, in essence sixty dollars.

'What the heck?! That much money for a cage? The Beast-class ones were cheaper!'

[Containing a mimic requires specialized cages or collars that actively suppresses a mimics' ability to shape change. The runework alone is enough to drive most people insane, it's worth the price.]

'I...fine, if George is right I can probably recoup my losses. It'll be added to my backpack right?'

[Just confirm the purchase and the mimic cage will automatically be added.]

A few mental commands later, Jordie's gold had disappeared from his Inventory and a wonky-looking bugcage was added to his backpack.

"Marianne, can you give me my backpack and hold Minos for me? I think I have something that can help."

"Oh? Sure."

Jordie delicately placed Minos into Marianne's arms as she handed the backpack to him. It was a slow, very careful process.

"Careful he's heavy."

Marianne repositioned her arms in order to properly hold Minos without accidentally waking him. Once Minos was in a comfortable position, he let out a little yawn. Marianne's face melted at sheer amount of cuteness radiating from this sight and sound.

Jordie went through the motions of fishing in his backpack before pulling out his recently acquired mimic cage. It looked a bit like an insect cage made of bamboo. He handed his backpack back to George to hold and readied himself to capture the mimic.

The Precious Metal Mimic reminded Jordie of a snake or an eel as it flailed about. At this moment he remembered a random video he watched once about eel farming and how they prepared fresh ones.

'Wonder if mimics taste like eel...'

With the cage in one hand, Jordie squatted down, keeping his foot on the mimic's tail, and grabbed it by it's "neck". He did this to make sure it wouldn't bite him or sting him as he tried to move it.

"And...three!"

There's a universal saying in life: Roll with whatever it gives ya.
