It's an assassin's job to kill and many in the field have a policy; all witnesses must be terminated. Purga, whose real name only the dead are aware of, follows said policy religiously. That's until she is caught during work by a young man who is happy to know he'll be put to death and actively encourages it. To him, being a witness was a blessing, to Purga it was a curse.

I am still among those that can be considered alive.

I apologize for taking this past month off, but it was rather necessary, though I am completely at fault for not posting such information in advance or during. It's rather shameful to post it after the fact and apologize.

I've been having health problems, which some of you may have noticed me making comment in some of my post-chapter author notes.

Besides my physical health, there is also the strain on my mental health as well.

Those that know me on my discord server, already know this information. I'm quite active there, believe it or not, haha.

As for this next part, not until today did I reveal my plans for my novels or writing in general. During this month, I deliberated on if I should or wanted to continue writing.

One has to know that I'm not an English major, even if English is my first language, I am not well versed in its arts. Something I'm sure most of you, my readers, can tell from my writing. Over the last year and a half, I've worked very hard on improving my grammar and sentence structures while retaining my original writing style. (What I consider my writing style.)

I sincerely appreciate each and every reader that has pointed out any grammar errors or syntax issues. While I cringe at every mistake, it is only acknowledging those mistakes, and correcting them, did I get better. Especially "Would have" and "Would of." In my part of the world, the dialect people speak with "Would of." Surprised Pikachu face when I realized how wrong that was!!! Hahahaha!

But there is that...

Why did I start writing?

Have you ever read anything so bad, that you went... "Fuck it! I can do better than this!"

That's why I started writing. I wanted to write a story I wanted to read, and I did. WU, Wholly Undead, is a story I like. In fact, I wish it would write itself, so I could just read! Hahaha!

But writing is a large time sink. Very large. The plotting, the planning, the creation, the research, and then the actual writing. It's very tedious. I respect authors with thousands of chapters. While the novel's plot might not be to my liking, you have my respect that you were able to write that much, and much respect to translators of non-English novels for the same reasons!!!

I read every comment and every review, so know, that I see them if you post them! Haha, tfw the Readers tell you you're a &*#&$#@, just because they know you're going to read it... I'll Oof in advance!

I mean... After some really deep thought and possible soul searching, it would be a real dick move to not finish at least this novel... And I have ALOT of plot left... And when I say A LOT, I mean something like 500 to 700 more chapters... I have no idea when I'll finish... Hmmm... Why are my eyes sweating??? Strange.

The materials needed for writing was immediately supplied under the order of the duke. He might be opposed to her idea, but Raeliana wasn't his at the first place. He thought that he should think carefully about his relationship to Raeliana before he does something again. She has a fiance, the chief knight of the palace. 

"Hmm, what should I write? How are you? How are you feeling?" She was uncertain if she will send a message. It was her first time to send a letter to someone. Eun ha hadn't experienced to give and receive a letter, so Raeliana now wasn't experienced in writing a letter. "Should I write a heartfelt message?" Whilst she was making a fuss on writing a message, Noah was annoyed every second had passed. He had his eyes fixed on hers. Getting irritated each time she laughed or smiled. It feels like she was cheating on him although they weren't in relationship.  

"Tsk." His tongue clicked in frustration. He can't stand the sight of Raeliana getting happy on writing a message to her fiance. He got up and excused himself. "Call me if anything happens. I'll be outside." 

Raeliana wasn't able to bow her head when Noah had just walked off. She shifted her head to the pen and parchment, still lying there, untouched. She took a deep breath, "Damn. Am I a musclehead? Why I can't think of anything to put on this damn paper!" Suddenly, she recalled a piece of literature when she was still studying as Eun ha. It was very romantic and heart touching. She thinks it was smart to use a romantic poem. 

Outside her quarters, Noah was brooding over a thought: If he happened to meet Raeliana much earlier, what would they be now? He's definitely smitten of Raeliana, now that he's sparing a thought of his relationship with Raeliana. Once Raeliana's fiance has returned, he would ask him to withdraw his marriage to Raeliana. He would challenge if he won't. Noah wants her all to himself. If it wouldn't be granted, he'll surely make the empire a living hell. Deep on his thoughts, he missed the call of Raeliana. On her second call, he was awaken of his senses and went inside the room. He immediately asked what happened. 

"I was just occupied by something. What is it you needed?" 

She pointed her finger at him. "You, sir duke."

Originally, Raeliana was a minor character that had lead the return of heroine of the novel. She came from a noble family and was about to wed her money grubbing fiance. Unfortunately, the story takes a twist and made Raeliana as the main villain of the story. Instead of Vivian Shamall, Raeliana Mcmillan was born to bring a wreck upon the blossoming relationship of Noah Wynknight, the duke and male lead, and Beatrice, the female lead. 
Reincarnated as the novel's villain, Raeliana chose to change her twisted fate. She will do everything not to be involved to any characters from the novel, as the old Raeliana was replaced with the soul of a student from Korea, Park Eun ha. She had read the novel and bound to unravel the untold mysteries. She came to understand that she must be cautious of her new world and should follow the nature and its rules. But how if Raeliana was bound to be with the male lead? Can she still stick to her objective?

After the break is almoast done.

Joanne come back to class pretty early. Plus all of my friends are going to the toilet and haven't come back yet, so there is only me and her in the class.

She come to her spot preparing her books for the next class. I do really want to have a chat with her so I came up with an idea.

"Hey" I called her.

She looked at me with those sharp brown eyes. In that moment I suddenly forgot what i want to say to her.

"Uh, ah, what is your name?" I asked. Stupid! She just introduced herself several sections ago, in that moment I cursed myself.

"I assume that I already give my name, but I will repeat it once more, my name is Joanne Clare and you can call me Joanne" She said coldly. Then she turn back and face her book.

Great! Now I lost my chance to talk with her, so I just waiting Kaleb and others to come in. The moment they came in, the bell rang.

"Hey, how you doin'? Why your face like that?" Kaleb says.

"Nothing, I thought that I forgot something" I said.

Then I suddenly notice something. Rick Hart, one of my friend that usualy have his hair bright yellow, with black eyes, short and wear glasses. Suddenly he has red hair with blue eyes and without any glasses.

"Did you use softlens? And when did you dye your hair?" I asked.

"What? I look like this since morning, how come you didn't notice me?!" Rick said

"Well? Maybe because you are to short" I reply.

Then Rick become mad but I heard a giggle and I bet it is from Joanne.

"Yes? Something wrong Joanne?" I asked her.

She didn't say anything and she act like that she didn't hear it but her giggle stop.

Well, I know it's to good to be true for her to like me too. Then the classes started so I and my other friend prepare our book for next lesson.

Our next class was math, it was taught by ms. Cole, she was a young women which prefer to taught us by the "learn by playing" technique. Regardless any way of teaching or the teacher I like math I mean how come people prefer physics, chemistry or other lesson more than math?

My point was, math was more easier than those lessons because you only need to use your logic than count several numbers and Boom! You got the answer.

So back to the class. In the class our teacher just review last week lessons about logarithm. I know I'm not that smart but I do think this one was fun and easy but the others doesn't think so.

I want to see how smart Joanne is, she was quite passive in the class, she didn't asked any question to the teacher. I dont know whether she is that smart to understand or to shy to ask since she was new to this school. Then the teacher give us exercise to do, in her class when we given an exercise to do. We can discuss it with our friend, and Kaleb was discussing it with Rick and Jojo, Jojo Chuck is my newest best friend in school. He is Indonesian, with black hair and black eyes, his skin was brown. But he moved to Boston since 10 years ago. Then they weren't notice me so I try to acted cool and asked Joanne

"Hey, need some help?" I asked.

She didn't immediately answer me, after several seconds she writing she says shortly "No thanks". Then he focused on her exercise again.

Phew, no luck for me. Now I know she is smart, since she was writing it non-stop. What a perfect girl, I wonder how I make friend with her.

Then suddenly my "gang" called me and asking me to help over. Ofcourse I help them, I mean I'm a generous person.

An hour pass and the lesson is already done. We move to our subject and it is Chemistry, the lesson that I hate the most.

The teacher who taught us were mr. John. He is the most boring teacher I ever seen, he always put a message that says "Chemistry = chem-is-try" in every test paper he give to us. But many says that he is a thoughtful teacher. He is kind and other.

Then in the middle of his lessons he asked me randomly out of the blue. "Jake, what is the name for H2O?", I was not ready and I said "silver?". Then everybody start laughing including my friends and Joanne. Then mr. Paul says "you are wrong Jack learn more about periodic table" then the other start laughing again.

Than in that moment I start thinking again, "how will my friend thinks?" , "what will Joanne think about me?" , "Will she call me stupid?". Then other thoughts.

I felt dreadful until the end of the lessons. Then we move to English lesson, the last subject before lunch. I felt relive because of that.

We study like usual nothing special then it is lunch time. 

"We will go to the canteen to buy lunch first okay?" Rick says.

"Okay" I say shortly.

In the class there is only me and Joanne AGAIN, I just eating my lunch and she didnt eat anything and she only read a book.

"Are you not going to have lunch?" I asked her.

"No" she reply shortly.

"Why?" I asked back.

"Im having a diet" she said.

"Oh, okay" I reply. Then im out of topic then suddenly she close her book than say.

"You know? You are funny enough in the chemistry class, and you seem really want know me, so, what is your name?" She said.

"Jake, Jake Cravy that is my name and you can call me Jake" I say with a smile.

She smile and then she reply "nice to meet you".

With that only simple moment I was very happy and give me an extra boost of mood and energy until the end of the school.

At the usual training ground, Heero and his disciples gathered there. Only missing Xu Lingxun who just started the training. Heero got him a different training as the boy did not have the basics yet.
Heero dispatched Butcher Wang to have a spar against Dong-Woo. As for him, he had to help his first disciple. Standing right in front of him, Sun Zhou Yi fell into deep thought.
As Sun Zhou Yi was busy with his own thoughts, Heero faced Hirata who still wore the wooden mask. It certainly made Heero curious as to why this guy did not take his mask off since he came back from Ence Fort.
"Why do you still wear the mask?"
"I have met that boy once, if I don't wear the mask, he will recognize me!" Said Hirata with his gaze fell to Dong-Woo who just got kicked in his ass.
"Does it matter?"
Hirata stunned as he could not answer Heero. Yes, did it matter? So what if the boy did recognize him?
'Uh, this is my past habit during my day in Shadow Fang…'
During his day in the Shadow Fang, he always stayed low and never showed his real face. There was an exception though, when he went back to the clan and when he acted as a ranker. Only during that time, he showed his real face.
"Alright, it's your matter, do you also want to improve your sword technique?" Heero got to the point. So far, he never taught his disciples any technique yet. Sun Zhou Yi comprehended Sword Ki by himself, Hirata learned his clan's sword technique, and Butcher Wang learned that random movement from observing the beast when he went hunting.
What he taught them only Ki Comprehension so far to nourish their body with Ki. It was not that he did not want to teach them, but because they were not ready yet. They needed a pure Ki to use his technique while their body contained another internal energy aside from Ki.
At least, his disciples needed to clean their bodies from harmful internal energy. Yes, he had checked all his disciples' bodies before and their bodies contained two energies that he did not recognize.
The gray energy that was similar to Specter Ki and another one was truly new to Heero. The other energy was like a rainbow, it was colorful. Heero did not worry about the colorful energy, what he was worried about was the gray energy.
The colorful energy was beneficial to them while the gray energy was harmful. He afraid there was a class of the two energies if they tried to use the technique that needed a pure Ki to use.
So, his disciples needed to clear this gray energy out their body as he did not want to take the risk. As for why Sun Zhou Yi could create a technique Ki Sword, Heero did not know as he was still clueless about the gray energy and the colorful energy.
The same for Hirata, rather than teaching him a new technique, Heero chose to help him to master the technique Hirata had learned.
Hirata instantly nodded his head, he promised to fight against his brother. So he certainly wanted to get stronger.
Heero smiled and unlocked his smartwatch which confused Hirata. After a moment, Hirata's smartwatch vibrated. He checked his smartwatch and saw Heero sent a file to him. Curious, he opened the file and found strange words written in it.
Hirata did not recognize the writing, it was not Chinese, not Korean, and not Japanese. He was confused and looked up.
"Don't you recognize the writing?" Heero asked with a smile instead of explaining what with that strange writing. With his reminder, Hirata furrowed his brows and looked back at his smartwatch.
Indeed, he had seen these writings once but he did not remember where he had seen the writing. As he tried to remember where he had seen the writing, his eyes widened. The writing was similar to the technique his ancestors left behind.
His clan did not understand single writing within his ancestor's legacy. They had to learn the sword technique through the illustrated image.
"This…" Hirata stuttered as he could not believe this strange writing presented before him in digital form. After all, this language was far from his ancestor's era, far before the disaster struck.
"Yes, it's the same writing in your Ancestor Legacy. Learn that writing and you will grasp your ancestor technique. After that, you can exchange that language with your mother's freedom. There's no way your father will reject this offer, right?" Heero smiled at the stunned Hirata.
Once again, Hirata was shocked, his eyes widened as he looked at Heero. He was thinking hard about how his Master could get to know about this.
"There's no need thinking hard about that. It was this guy who told me about your promise with your brother, he said he accidentally overheard your talk with your big brother!" Heero pointed his index finger toward Sun Zhou Yi who pretended to be innocent.
"But… But…" Hirata wanted to say that his clan's greed was boundless. If they knew his Master knew almost everything about their ancestor, he believed his clan would try to do something that would annoy his Master.
"It's okay, they can't do anything to me." Heero dismissed his disciple's concern confidently and continued, "To survive until now, your clan must be pretty smart. If they are smart, they should be friends with me rather than antagonizing me, right?"
"Hah…" Hirata let out a sigh as he truly could not reject this idea. If he offered the clan a chance to learn the ancestor's technique, he believed his father would agree to what he requested.
"I guess it will be fine. Even though my clan is greedy, but my half-blood brother has a quite fine character in fact,"
"Then, you should learn that primitive writing and continue your ancestor legacy. Your ancestor's legacy is not weaker than my technique, learn well!" Heero tapped Hirata's shoulder.
'Just who are you, Master?' the question was almost coming out of his mouth, but he refrained from asking. If Heero won't tell his past to him, he won't take the initiative to ask as well. Not telling him meant his Master still did not want to tell him about the past.
In the end, Hirata responded with a solemn nod while his eyes glued to the smartwatch. In the file, besides the strange writing was Japanese. With his eyes glued to the smartwatch, Hirata looked a good spot to learn the new language.
"Have you found the answer?" As he finished with Hirata, Heero focused back to Sun Zhou Yi. He asked Zhou Yi what was his Ki Sword's shortcoming.
"The number of my Ki Sword?" Sun Zhou Yi answered in confusion as he could not think of his technique's shortcomings. So far, he could only form less than sixty Ki Swords at once.
"Your control over your sword! Let me ask you, can you move your sword to aim a different target at the same time?" Heero rolled his eyes.
Sun Zhou Yi furrowed his brows as he recalled how he used his Ki Swords to fight. Indeed, despite the number of Ki Swords, he only aimed all the Ki Swords into one target. Without asking Heero's consent, he formed six Ki Swords.
After that, he scanned the surroundings to find a target. He found six boulders in different positions. The distance between one to another boulder was about four to seven meters.
Sun Zhou Yi gathered his focus, he tried to stab the six boulders with his six Ki Swords at the same time. He took one last deep breath, then the sword moved!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The six swords moved at the same time into six different directions. However, none of the Ki Swords managed to hit the intended target. Instead, all swords missed the boulder far. There was a Ki Sword passed through the boulder, there was a Ki Sword not be able to reach the boulder.
All Ki Swords went astray, none of it hit the target. Sun Zhou Yi was stunned as he could not believe what he saw. He even missed the closest boulder that was about eight meters away from him.
"So, do you know why you lost to Musashi Hirata? It's because you can't control your sword just like Hirata controls his swords. Your advantage is the number of your ki Swords, but you can't use your advantage well as your control over your Ki Swords is severely lacking. What's the use of having many swords, but you can only stab it in one direction?"
Hearing this, Sun Zhou Yi stunned. Yes, what's the use of controlling many swords, if it only moved into one direction? What was the difference with one sword? It would be better if he formed a giant sword rather than many Ki Swords, but one giant sword useful only if his enemy was a giant like the Wyvern King.
Using a giant sword again Musashi Hirata was less effective as Musashi Hirata could dodge it easily. A giant sword was much heavier and slower than the smaller swords, making it easier to dodge.

However, Sun Zhou Yi saw the boulder cracked, a crack that was caused by a stab, but the sword was still far from the boulder.
