this is a collection of some of my poems. some of the poems are about love, life, unrequited love, sorrow, loneliness, and more. I hope you can enjoy of my collection of poems and I hope I can transmit the emotions that the poems are supposed to give.

Yes this is a book full of poems.

A book of poems that I made for fun. Each poem is different so if you dislike one then just know there are many different types. The newest poems are better then the older poems.

''Let's start with the basics,'' I say as they both look at me with confusion and curiosity/. We're currently in the dining area and they are seated across from me, notepads, textbooks, reading materials and pens are sprawled on the table along with their bookbags. ''Mrs Gomez said out test would be based on poetry right?''They nod in affirmation. ''Good. So far, we've discussed three poems: Ode to a Nightingale by John Keats, Crossing the Bar by Lord Tennyson and The Schoolboy by William Blake. What exactly do you need help in?
They both pause for a minute before Jason responds. ''Definitely, the Ode thing you just said.''
''Ode to a Nightingale.''
''Yea that.''
''And if you can briefly explain the others, it'll be highly appreciated.'' Ryan adds hesitantly in a bid to not test my patience. I smile a bit and he visibly relaxes. Jason avoids my gaze, looking at everything, from the tables, to the pictures on the wall to the fruit basket.
Is there something on my face?
''First thing's first,'' I start. ''In order to know about the poem we need to know about the poet himself. John Keats was a Romantic poet born in the 16th century and…''
''What's a Romantic poet?'' Ryan interjects. ''Do they like write poems about love and stuff?''
''Not quite. Romantic poets are those who wrote during the Romantic era. I don't want to go full on nerd on you, but the Romantic era was a cultural and intellectual movement that originated in Europe towards the end of the 18th century. That era was characterized by individualism and poetry of that era started to take on a more human form, not that poetry of the 18th century wasn't like that, but with the Romantic era, it was different. Emotions such as awe, horror and admiration were highlighted. Some poets focused their writing on eulogizing nature as seen in the works of William Wordsworth and P.B Shelley while others focused on the supernatural like Edgar Allen Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne.''
They both give me blank stares like I'm speaking in a foreign language and I sigh. ''And you don't know who they are.'' They nod wordlessly and I silently shake my head.
Worsworth, Hawthorne, Poe and Shelley may not be in our curriculum this year but Mrs Gomez did mention them when she was giving an introductory class on Romantic poetry. It peaked my interest so I ended up Googling poems written by these individuals and found them fascinating to say the least. To think that such words of wisdom came from humans just like me is really inspirational.
I can only aspire to be like these wonderful poets.
Mum comes around from the kitchen carrying a tray with mugs of hot chocolates. She settles it down in the middle of the table and we say a quick thank you to her and continue.
''They're not important,'' I say calmly. ''All you need to know is that they are Romantic poets and John Keats happens to be one of them.'' I check the time on my phone briefly. ''Okay, so do you have a printed copy of the poem?''
''Yea,'' Ryan says and stretches his right hand to get a rumpled piece of paper from the side of the bag. Jason brings out a folded paper from his manila file and settles it on the table. 
''Great. FYI, I started reading the analysis of the poem yesterday case it's been a while so I'm a little rusty.''
Jason gives me a sideway smile, his aqua blues firmly planted on mine. I give a sideway simile of my own, my hands gripping the paper in front of me. You know, it should be a crime for someone's son to actually look this good. Jason always gives off this I-just-rolled-out-of-bed-but-I-have-money-vibe which on anyone would have looked repulsive, but on him, it's making my stomach turn in a good way.
And again, that is very very bad.
Ryan coughs loudly and we both look away. I clear my throat loudly and he grabs a fountain pen. Ryan has a knowing look on his face and I know he had seen what had transpired between us but said nothing.
''Right,'' I say after a beat. ''Ode to a Nightingale is a regular ode with eight stanzas and a regular rhyme scheme. Basically, the poem explains how Keats is in a state of discomfort and he envies the imagined happiness of the nightingale. Keats longs for wine to numb his senses and take him out of his misery per se. He wants to be in the world of the nightingale because in his delusion, he thinks the nightingale is without troubles and worries which, when you think about it, makes sense because he says that his life is full of pain.'' 
They nod their heads and I continue. ''Add this to your fun facts about John Keats: He died of tuberculosis at the age of 25.''
''That's horrible,'' Ryan sympathizes, his face downcast. ''He never got to experience life fully.''
''Indeed. So you kinda see where he's coming from when he says he wants to be in the world of the nightingale. Thinking about it thoroughly, don't we all want to be in the world of the nightingale? I'd trade a world full of happiness and love for this dump of a world we're living in right now.''
And I put that on everything.

I spent the better part of 2 hours explaining to Ryan and Jason the importance of the poem and why John Keats actually wrote the poem. We also discussed the various themes and the significance of the Nightingale in the poem. After the 'class' they seemed satisfied enough and even took notes down which caught me by surprise. I guess being on the basketball team is a huge deal to them.
Of course it's important to them, they're captain and co-captain.
Also, let's be real, their popularity cred would totally diminish and they'd be shamed all through school if they fail. While I do not want that to happen, it'd be funny to see the roles being reversed for once.
''You did good, sweetie,'' Mum says as she joins me on the dining table. Jason and Ryan had left a while before dinner with an external amount of gratitude to my mum. I didn't think Jason could be polite, but he was kissing my mum's ass a few hours ago. Of course, mum being who she is, invited them to come over at any time.
''I'm proud of you.''
''I'm proud of me too.'' I did a good deed today so that should score me some extra points in heaven, right?
''You put pettiness aside and helped out your school friends,'' I give her a pointed look and she corrects herself. ''I mean acquaintances.''
Better.
''I raised you well, Mel,'' she says with a satisfied smile and a look as if reminiscing about the past.
She really did raise Sophie and I well. I would never trade my mum for anything in the world. When my dad left and decided that being a parent is too much work, mum picked up the slack and made sure that we were taken care of didn't want for anything. Even if Sophie and I wanted something and she couldn't afford it at the moment, she'd make sure that she'll still get it, albeit at a later date. We may not be rich or have the luxuries of the world, but fuck those, I have my sister and my mum and that's enough for me to die a happy teenager.
I do not want to die at all, at least not now, but you get my point.
''That boy, the one with the chestnut hair?''
''Jason?''
''Yea, him. He looks very familiar. I can't put my finger on it but I feel like I have met him before,'' Mum says with a frown on her face. ''Maybe I've seen him at the mall or something but I know him from somewhere.''
''Maybe you remember him at the yearly parents-teachers conference?'' I suggest. She shrugs. ''Maybe.''
''When you're done, turn off all the electrical appliances and check if the doors are locked. I don't want another burglary incident,���' she mentions with a chill in her voice. Last year, our apartment was burglarized. They stole valuable family heirlooms, including all the jewellery that Grandma Maggie passed down to mum, money and a few trinkets that Grandpa Harry gave her on her wedding day. Long story short, it was a devastating day, we filed a police report and the culprits have not been caught.
Fuck the justice system.
''Sure.''
''Goodnight, Mel. Don't stay up late or you'd have a brain fart.''
I snort and she squeezes my shoulder. Making a left, I hear her footsteps trudging up the stairs until they were no longer audible.
A message pops up on my notifications. Unlocking my phone, I open it and see that it's from an unknown number.

I beam a little and close the phone, taking in the days ' events in one breath.

Lu Changsheng then took a glance at the young man.
"Where's your master?" Liu Qingfeng asked curiously.
"Over there." The young man pointed at the big boat in the port.
The majestic-looking big boat was made of redwood and carved with the figures of mythical beasts, it was then inlaid with jade stones and gold. 
The owner of the boat was obviously very rich.
In fact, no matter how fancy the boat was, it wasn't a celestial object. If it wasn't because of Qingfeng, Lu Changsheng would have preferred to stay away from strangers.
"It would be impolite for me to reject your young master's hospitality." Lu Changsheng nodded.
"Then, please follow me, young master." The young man felt elated with Lu Changsheng's response. With great respect, he led the both of them to the red boat.
Soon after, they went on board.
As it emanated the scent of sandalwood, the boat was very spacious. All the tables were also made of redwood. Everything in the boat looked very expensive.
There was a group of people in the boat waiting for them.
When Lu Changsheng came in, everyone got up.
There were seven males and three females.
"Good day, young master! I'm Li Yue."
"Good day, young master! I'm Zhou Haijie."
"Good day, young master! I'm Zhang Peng."
All of them stood up to greet Lu Changsheng with gentle smiles on their faces. In particular, the three ladies were looking straight at Lu Changsheng with admiration in their eyes.
Lu Changsheng's appearance and demeanor could even make those female cultivators, who had over a thousand years of cultivation experience have a crush on him, what more would it be with these ordinary ladies?

While he was away from the Zenith Land, Lu Changsheng wanted to keep a low profile.
"Muzhi! That's such a good name!"
"This name really reveals this young master's literary talent."
"Brother Muzhi's manners are extraordinary, you're making me feel inferior."
With big smiles on their faces, they were all trying their best to flatter the gorgeous-looking young man.
"And this is?"
At this time, someone finally noticed Liu Qingfeng.
Liu Qingfeng was ready to introduce himself.

At this time, from the head of the boat came a comely man.

"Brother Muzhi, please sit down." Wang Rich hurriedly asked Lu Changsheng to take a seat.
After they sat down, Wang Rich waved his hand in the air. And then the boat started to slowly leave the port.
Several maids brought out delicacies and helped them fill their cups with fine liquor.
"Brother Muzhi, I'm not well-educated at all, but my biggest hobby is to make friends. Earlier, I was standing in the front of the boat and I saw your extraordinary demeanor, which was why I plucked up the courage to invite you. I hope that this isn't too abrupt." Wang Rich was very modest and courteous as he said this.
He had a really good temperament and appearance, however, his name was a bit…
"Brother Wang, Brother Lu, there is a saying that fate is a bridge, and since today, you and I met on this bridge. Let's savor this fine liquor to celebrate." Zhang Peng's awkward simile made Lu Changsheng feel slightly embarrassed.
Lu Changsheng showed his good manners. He picked up the cup and took a sip of the fine liquor.
Liu Qingfeng also followed him.
The liquor was made from fruits which had a rich aroma and tasted slightly sweet. Although the taste wasn't as mellow as the liquor produced in the Zenith Land, it was definitely not bad.
Even though Lu Changsheng wasn't a big fan of drinking. He would occasionally drink when he was bored, he didn't drink too much right now.
"Brother Muzhi, why are you heading for Jingling?" Wang Rich asked him.
"To see the landscapes and enjoy the beautiful scenery," Lu Changsheng smiled while he responded.
"I see. Spending several days just leisuring about is wonderful. May I ask how many days you plan on staying in Jingling? I have several houses in Jinling. If you don't mind, Brother Muzhi, you can stay there for a few days," Wang Rich said.
"I thank you for your generosity, but we're heading for the capital," Liu Qingfeng rejected the invitation before Lu Changsheng could say anything.
"To the capital?" Everyone was slightly surprised. 
"Is Brother Muzhi taking the national examination?" Zhou Haijie asked curiously.
"The national examination?" Lu Changsheng and Liu Qingfeng were a bit curious.
"Three days later, this year's national examination in the Dynasty of Da Qian will be held. If you're not heading for the examination, I guess you're visiting for the Lantern Festival." Zhou Haijie guessed.
"The Lantern Festival?" Both Lu Changsheng and Liu Qingfeng became even more curious.
They had never heard of this before.
"The Lantern Festival is the most grand festival in the capital of Da Qian. On that day, talented people around the world would gather together to exchange poems and talk to each other. People are going to have fun with riddles, and at night, they can also send up colorful lights," one of the ladies patiently explained.
Liu Qingfeng's eyes immediately lit up.
At the same time, he looked at Lu Changsheng and said, "Se… Cousin, it sounds like that the Lantern Festival is so much fun. Since you're such a good poet, we must go!" Liu Qingfeng exclaimed with excitement.
Zhou Haijie's eyes also lit up as he asked, "Brother Muzhi, you can write poems?"

sun rising, birds singing their own melody. In a certain bedroom there is a girl sleeping  in here own world.  As she she her aunty in kitchen making breakfast and saying " you girls You are late eat breakfast the go ". with a sweet voice that always make her forget about she doesn't have parents. she said"  sorry aunty i will eat in my canteen don't worry i getting late by.... and take care, don't skip breakfast " as she wink and go for her college..
"oh god this girl always on her hourse"  her aunty said and simile because she can't ge angry on her when she simile her simile remainds her her best friend ruh' mother Ji  and the promise she made to her mother that she will keep her seft from every thing and never let anyone to kill her innocence... and tears filled in her eye as she watch her leaving..
Ruh got a cab and said her college name " Albert st college  sir " with  simile on her face.... the cab driver simile as no one has called him so respect as she given to him .As she was busy in her moblie as sudden shoot noise come and cab stop right a way and driver fall forward. As she was so shoch to react what happening cab door open and with a jerk she was out of the cab and all of sudden a cloth on her mouth and was locked in between a strong arm she struggled with all her strength but she can't fight with their strength. And then everything goes black.

" u know ?" vaani ask in cold voice ' then waste my time '
" ofcourse this date meant to meet Miss june right ??" 
"sorry but she has a boyfriend and she don't want blind date she want to explain this herself but need to attend important meeting " vaani said all this in one breath 
" so you helped her " long su asked in serious tone 
before vaani can say anything long su continued " so why don't we try to get along hahahh "
vaani is completely shocked ' where i put myself in ??' vaani don't know whether to laugh or cry
" M ...Mr long  i think that is not possible " vaani said with a forced simile
" what a surprise baby " cold , magnetic  and heavy voice rang form behind vaani , both of them turned to look for the source of voice .

Alexander don't know but he was feeling uncomfortable while watching them dance together. He want to be on Mr. Blitz place. He has this feeling that he has the very right to be dance with her. While watching to them dance was over. 
It's is nice to dance with you Ms. Watson. Let me escort you to your seat. Mr. Blitz said with a gentle simile on his face. 
No Mr. Blitz pleasure is mine. Lisa replied in a kind manner. 
They walk towards her seat.
Now I take my leave.You enjoy yourself. with that said he take his leave. 
Lisa was going to sit on her chair when someone called from behind. 
When Alexander saw that Mr. Blitz was leaving the table. He stood up from his seat, went near to the girl and called her. 
When Lisa listen to it she move her head back to see who was it. She was astonished that Alexander was speaking to her. 
Yes how may I help you. Lisa said in kindly way. 
Miss will you like the second dance with me. Alexander said with a humble simile. 
Again Lisa was going to decline it. When Claire came to the table and interrupted in. 
Yes you can take her. She don't have a problem. Claire said in a excited way. 
Lisa give her is my opinion is not important look . Which Claire shredded. 
 Miss shall we. Alexander said while extended his hand forward like a gentleman. 
Yes please.Lisa excepted his hand with a gentle simile on her face. They walk toward the dance floor. When they reach their the music change into a Slow romantic rhythm music.They stand together. Alexander put his one hand on her waist while other hold her hand. Lisa put her right hand on his shoulder while other hand was in his hand. They begin to move on the music. Both had there eyes lock in to each other. No one wanted to break their eyes of. They both was feeling like they get hypnosis by each other eyes. Then suddenly Alexander swirl her around, move her away from his body, then bring toward his body again. Lisa also matching every step with him. They both dancing like a beautiful couple who was soo in to love with each other. When they was dancing people around them stop their movement. They was looking at their way with enjoyment. While dancing Alexander ask her. 
What's your name. in a soft way. 
Lisa. She replied his question absentmindedly.She was surprise that she was feeling nervous while dancing with him. She curse in her heart that she gave her actual name to him. 
Alexander was looking intently at her each reaction. But with a mask on her face he can't read her expression. He so wanted to see her face that he wanted to remove her mask. But he control himself. 
So what do you do for living Alexander ask her . 
I am a C.E.O assistant. Lisa replied after composing herself. 
Where. Alexander ask. 
At Watson Empire. She replied thinking it is a waste to lie now. 
Ok but why did you wear a mask. Alexander ask in suspicious way. 
I thought it is a masquerade party. After saying this she regret it. she thought what a lame excuse. 
Ok but why didn't your C. E. O came. Alexander ask not dwelling it. 
He never attend social gatherings. Lisa say. 
Why he didn't attend it. Alexander ask inquiring further. 
 He don't like to attend parties. Lisa replied impatiently. 
Why he don't like parties. Alexander inquire more. 
His wish why I need to know it. Lisa said annoyingly. 
Ok cool down tigress don't need to attack on me. Alexander joke to light up the mood. 
Who is a tigress. Lisa say annoyingly. 
Off course you. Alexander replied with a chuckle. 
You... Lisa was saying something when Alexander interrupted in. Ok ok I am only messing with you. No need to get grumpy. 
Who's getting grumpy. You are the grumpy one here. Lisa said with frown on her face. 
Alexander was going to reply when people around them claps their hand. Then they realize that music is over. They thank to everyone and walk out of there while Alexander hand was on her back . 
It's great to dance with you. Alexander said with a amusement on his face. 
But I can't say same for you. Lisa said. 
The pleasure is all mine. Alexander replied with a smirk oh his face. 
Hmph what ever. Lisa said childishly. They walk towards her table.

 Alexander William 32 year old boy who has many business created by himself. He has all the qualities of a man which every girl desire of.   "Brother, someone is coming. There from the Otori clan". "What! Princess Mizuki hides in the bushes". Said the tall man anxiously while pushing her the bushes. "You come hide too. I don't want them to find you". "Princess it's ok they can't beat I'm stronger than them, ok". He said confidently. "Ok, fine but once you get hit I'm leaving the bushes to help you ok". She said with a worry look on her face. "Ok ok but I won't get hit so you don't have to worry". 
         "Hey guys , I see someone over there let's go". Said the men with guns. "Go hide and stay quiet so they can't hear you, Ok". he said with a simile on his face. "I'll stay quiet. Now go and beat them up and come back quick". He left with a simile on his face but once the little girl turned around to go hide. He had a worried look on his  face, like something bad was going to happen.
        "Hello gentlemen, may I ask what the Otroi clan is doing on the Ryu's land". Kenichi said with a scheming simile. "We are looking for somebody, why should you care you are nothing important just another snake". One of the guys said laughing with the other. "Well actually I'm prince Kenichi. The prince of this land and of all snakes so you might as well leave because there is nobody here except me". Kenichi said with ease. 
          "Why should we believe you. You snakes are the best liars in the world. We from the Otroi clan will never believe you. Now where is that little princess of yours we have to take her to the Otroi clan for some business". One of the guys said with a crooked simile. "Yeah well you're gonna have to go back to the Otroi clan and tell them they can't have her". Kenichi said with a serious look. "Are you gonna disobey the head of the Otroi clan for some little girl". They gave a confused look. "Hell yeah I am, she is more important than the head of your little bird clan". Kenichi said with a deep voice.
         The guys from the Otroi clan started to have wings coming out their back. And pulled out there guns. Kenichi skin started to turn into scale that were really tough. and his eyes turned to a really light brown kind of looking like a dark yellow.
       "I dare ya to say that again. I'll kill you right now". One of the guys said with an angry look. "I'll like to see you try. If you think you can beat me you must be *little hatchlings*". Said Kenichi laughing.
      The guys from the Otroi clan started flying and then there feet turned into talons. They tried to catch Kenichi but they were to slow. Then two of them tried to grab him. "Ha, we caught you. You thought that you were fast but guess your not". They said laughing. "Yeah guess your right. I don't think I'm that fast from when I was younger. But you guys are still going to die so there's no point in laughing when you're about to die". Kenichi said with a smirk on his face.
       "What are you talking about? You're the one in are claws about to die. Are you serious you must be delusional, you are the one going ti die". They said still laughing. "You know you are a disgrace of the Otroi clan". "Shut up, you know nothing I'll snap your neck right now". One of the guys said screaming. "Ok then do it right now". Kenichi said while rubbing his fingers together. 
         "What are you talking about? I will do it, stop playing around". One of the guys said with hesitation. "You know because you talk and hesitate. You are a disgrace to your clan, because if it was the ones I know I wouldn't even be alive right now to talk to them. And that is the main reason I call you little hatchlings. Such a disgrace if you were in my clan you would be dead, cause when in battle you don't hesitate". 
         "Well I hope you took this lesson to heart you guys are gonna fall in 5,4,3,2, and 1". After Kenichi said that they really fell from the sky. "Ahhhhhhhhh". They all screamed from when they were falling. When they landed Kenichi stood up and dusted himself off. "Well since I'm feeling generous today, and because you guys are still hatchlings. I only paralyzed your wings so you won't be flying for a few years. I don't know how many but I know that it's not just 1 or 2. And before you even ask why. It's because I'm not evil like you birds from that clan". Said Kenichi while walking away. 
       Other people started surrounding Kenichi, and I don't think they are with him. "Excuse me, but if you're going to abush me at least conceal your presence so I can't sense you. But, that still wouldn't work cause I can just see you. Such warm- blooded people". Kenichi said laughing. The people from the bushes started coming out from the bushes with their guns. "Just stand there and don't move we won't shoot if you just let us look for the girl". One of the guys from the bushes said. "Just to let you know I will kill all of you here if you stay here any longer. She is not yours to take". Kenichi said serious. Pew pew. "Brother, no, no, no, no. What did you do to him"? The little girl said crying and running out the bushes.

She was a person who didn't have many friends. She was an ordinary person. He was just a random person. But were they destined to meet or were they meant to be enemies.
