The cube is where it all began, being summoned to different worlds with no end in sight. Four friends fight their way through the vast expanse of the multiverse.

The classroom was so big and there were enough desks for all of us  and there were a bunch of books in the desk pocket and a bunch of trinkets on the table that were recognisable. For example a rubix cube and a bunch of puzzle blocks in the shape of a cube etc. The desks were labeled with our names. We all went to our desks and explored the idioms on our desks when we heard Ms. Samantha cleared her throat and looked at us meaningfully. "Right now we will be doing an IQ test to see what your IQ is so that we can determine the average IQ for the advanced class is." Ms. Samantha cheered happily. "We will be taking mini tests all day. I want you to try your hardest because in this class we are competing in lots of television shows and the IQ score will be shown. The class gaped at these words. Your guardians have already given permission to this and it was stated on the contract that was sent to your guardian." I looked at her and I never got a contract, the teacher seemed to notice my confusion and explained. "This was the contract that you were given at the beginning of the year Amelia so yes we have everybody has signed Guardian." 

    'That makes a lot of sense I did not look through the contract this year because it looked so long so I just signed it figuring that nothing bad could come of it. Being on stage is not a big deal but at least I get to settle into a classroom for the first time. The people here look friendly enough, but that one girl sitting in the middle looks so cheerful I really wanna talk to her a lot.' The teacher starts to explain while I am lost in thought when I snap out of it I hear her say 

"So basically when I finish the rubix cube stop the stopwatch and then give it to me to see how fast you did it and let me record it and then you will move on to the next activity. Okay. Now when I get to one start the stopwatch and solve the rubix cube. 3…...2…1" I started the stopwatch and I started to use the hack for rubix cubes that I saw on a pop up add and hoped it worked. 

'Up down left right side side forward back.' I had that sequence on repeat in my head five seconds later I stopped the watch and showed the teacher my cube and my watch seven seconds. She recorded it without saying anything and then I turned around with the stopwatch and the cheerful girl was right behind me with her rubix cube and looked happily at me. I waved and then went back to my seat as much as I wanted to say something to her. I held it in and sat down. I saw the puzzle pieces and I clicked on the stopwatch and did it. That happened five more times before I was all done but each time that I showed Ms. Samantha my stopwatch I always turned around to see that girl. But since me and the girl were done the scores needed put into IQ. So we waited at our desks for the rest to finish. While I was waiting, I organized my desk and took out a text book to read just to see the new curriculum.  It was certainly harder and It looked like this curriculum would be fun. I looked at the girl in the middle and she was reading poetry. I looked back at my own book until Ms. Samantha called our attention.  "I have the results from the tests but we need to convert them into IQ scores in the meantime I want you all to tell each other your names and your age." A boy on the far right spoke up on this account. 

"My name is Aiden and I am sixteen." Then the next person spoke up 

"My name is Elizabeth and I am fifteen." Then people started speaking up left and right.

"My name is Bailey and  I am fourteen." 

"My name is Ally and I am sixteen."  Then it was only me and the happy girl left but instead of me speaking up she did. 

"My name is LIly and I am Fourteen." Then it was my turn

 "My name is LIly and I am eleven." I chimed nervously. People looked at me but said nothing against me but nothing for me either. The one person that seemed genuinely happy about this was Lily the happy girl. 

"I want you all to get to know each other    so I am giving you all a group project that will be shown at the beginning of the year exhibition where it will be judged. The judges are strict but fair. This will be done in groups of two and I will let you choose your partner now." The teacher explained . As soon as she said go everybody rushed towards lily saying 

"Lily I am the second smartest after you please let me work with you." Lily ignored them all and walked past them and then called out. 

"Hey Amelia do you want to be partners." I looked at her in shock. 'Why would she want to be with me? But I know I want to be with her so I said sceptically. 

"Sure." After the partners were decided Samantha who stated it clearly that she did not want to be called Ms. Said choose what you want to work on as your project. I sat with her in the corner of the room we had pulled up the chairs. 

"What is your favorite subject Amelia?" Lily asked 

"Human Anatomy. What about you?" I replied 

"Writing I am really good at writing essays." 

"Oh really that sounds cool, which topic do you wanna choose?"

"I think that if you already have research on human anatomy we could choose a part of a body and I could right about it? Also we could have a poster about the body part and we could have visuals and maybe even a demonstration of some sort," Lily rambled. She gave me an idea. 

"Lily I have a lot of research about acupoint massages  and I can do a demonstration on the judges." I chimed putting the idea out there. Lily looked at me in awe 

"You know about acupoints!? That takes years to master! That is awesome!? Depending on how much research you have then we could definitely do that. Or if you want to do more research then that is perfect.

"Miss Rodriguez we can explain" Zapphire said looking at the two then at mrs. rodriguez.

"Why?" Mrs. Rodriguez replied with a questioning face.

"Um cause we did something.... bad" Zapphire said with a question on her mind (did we do something bad).

"No I was just admiring the three of you" She said. "With all to respect why are you admiring us? We doodle, written, and played rubix cube" Zapphire said while Dave and Robert tried to shut her up.

"Well most teenager this day is all about talking about boyfriends, girlfriends, places, make ups and so much more but you three did something more matured. 
"You Techno" she pointed at Robert "You got talent for art. If their is a Drawing Contest you will be one of the representative of this class" 

Robert tried to enterupt but mrs. Rodriguez wags her finger and said "And don't you dare decline my request I seen what your capable of."

"You mr. Marion, your good at rubix cube. Is puzzle your thing? what about chess are you good at that?" She said.

Zapphire added "Yes mam he is really a good player, Even me and Robert combine and we still can't beat him" Dave said quietly "Shut up!" with annoyed face.

"And you miss Hetrious." She grabs Zapphire's poem. "Wow this is a fine poem miss Hetrious you also one of my representative for the Essay contest" 

"Thank you mam" Zapphire said. 

As Mrs. Rodriguez walk in front of the classroom every one are looking at the 3 with mean or disgusted faces. Some are even whispering about something that they know is about them.

"Alright enough noise for the day! My name is Mrs. Carla Rodriguez. I will be your advisor for this school year" She said. Then after that, she said grab our Math text book and open it at page 4.

After 3 subject it's recess time. The crew are eating at a table near the corner. Robert have a fries and a sandwich. Zapphire have a salad, cupcake with sprinkles and lemonade juice. Dave have 2 bags of potato chips and apple slices.

"Hey Dave you should go at my place after school I have a new gadget that I invented and I think it will blow your mind" Robert said while eating a fries. 
"Sure I don't really have plans later so yeah! What about you Zapphire, you coming?" Dave ask looking at her.
"I live next door so of course I'm coming!" Zapphire said smiling.

As the crew keep talking, two large person walk at them.

Dave sees something that shock him then Zapphire and Robert look behind them and see Gus and Flash cracking their fists.

'I said we will be back" Gus said grabbing Robert's shirt. Zapphire and Dave tried to help Robert but Flash is blocking them.

Then Robert's watch started beeping loud. Gus heard the beep and grab his arm to see what's beeping.

Wow you have a good watch would you mind If I borrow it? Gus said polite but he knows that it's a threat. "No this is the only thing that reminds me of my real parents" Robert said. 

Zapphire and Dave know that Robert's watch have a build in stress level detector and it beeps if robert's stress level is at 4 and up bar.

Gus tried to take the watch but Robert did not let him take his watch that easily. Zapphire runs to call a teacher. Dave tried to help Robert but flash push him causing dave to fall.

Zapphire found a teacher. "Hi sir what's your name?" she said while catching her breath after running. "Um call me sir Tolentino and how can I help?" 

"Um my friends are being bullied at the cafeteria and their is no one helping them" She said panicking.

"Ok ok I will help you, now come on" Sir Tolentino said.

"Alright what's going on here!" Sir Tolentino yelled causing every one to look at him. He sees a boy at the floor and another grabbing his watch.

"Gus Curry and Flash Robinson if you keep doing that you will get suspended for a long time so let him go, now!" He yelled and the 2 walk out of the cafeteria and Robert knows that he will be back.

Robert check his watch and it's fine. No damage nor scratch on it.

Zapphire thanks sir Tolentino. He nodded and head back to his classroom. The crew also did the same.

The pirates all stood in a line, still chilled and shivering. They stood meekly before Bao'er, listening attentively as she scolded them.
"From now on, you guys are the deckhands of the white whale. You'll be a cleaner... And you, a servant..." Bao'er gave them jobs, and the pirates all nodded as they were given assignments. They had been tamed, and none of them dared to refuse to do as they were told.
Their eyes sometimes wandered to the little red bird sitting atop Bao'er's shoulder, and the sight of it would send another involuntary shiver through them.
Ten minutes before, the little bird had burned a sixth-tier Destroyed King to nothing more than charcoal. There was too little of him left to even be considered cooked meat.
"Brother Fang, you should really leave now. Following me will only put you in more danger," Han Sen said to Fang Qing Yu.
Fang Qing Yu shook his head. "Brother Han, the Tianxia System isn't a place a Marquise can make a living. How long do you think I could survive out there?"
After that, Fang Qing Yu pulled something out of his pocket. He set it down in front of Han Sen. With a slight smile, he said, "Brother Han, do you remember this?"
After Han Sen got a good look at what Fang Qing Yu was holding, he was confused. He didn't recognize the item.
The item looked like a common, three-by-three, six-sided Rubix cube. Nine squares occupied each face.
But unlike a normal Rubix cube, each square on this cube contained a strange image. Each image was like a small painting of a place that Han Sen had never been before. Some of them showed starscapes, whereas others showed mountains and rivers. Others simply showed off rooms or palatial halls.
When Fang Qing Yu looked at Han Sen's face, he realized that Han Sen didn't recognize it. He smiled and said, "This is the Wanjie Rubix Cube; it is a xenogeneic treasure from the Thousand Treasures. Everyone who has a Wanjie Rubix Cube can contact others with a Wanjie Rubix Cube. You can even use video. To simplify this for you, the Wanjie Rubix Cube is like a phone. But it is a xenogeneic treasure, so you don't need a signal. You can communicate through space without being affected by magnetic storms."
"This is a powerful tool. If you have a treasure like this, you can ask your family or friends to come pick you up, right?" Han Sen said.
Fang Qing Yu smiled wryly. "Brother Han, I'm not showing this to you so that I can leave. I am a member of the Thousand Treasures Alliance. Although the Alliance isn't considered a part of the Thousand Treasures race, we have the same level of authority as the Thousand Treasures. My Wanjie Rubix Cube can connect to other members of the Thousand Treasures. They can see everything I see."
"What does that mean?" Han Sen frowned.
Fang Qing Yu quickly waved his hand and said, "Don't misunderstand me, Brother Han. The Wanjie Rubix Cubes need to be activated for others to see my image. Right now, it is not open and so no one will know anything about what is going on here."
After pausing, Fang Qing Yu went on to say, "Your battleship is incredible—it can even travel through the Tianxia System unimpeded. The Thousand Treasures want every treasure, including rare items in dangerous places like the Tianxia System. There are so many items in this system that most people couldn't tell what is valuable and what isn't, but with the Wanjie Rubix Cube, we could send images back to the Thousand Treasures. They could identify what is worth taking and what isn't. If they see something that they want, they will pay a high price for the items you bring back to them."
Han Sen smiled and said, "Brother Fang, I'm afraid you don't know my situation."
"I know you are Knife Queen's student." Fang Qing Yu looked at Han Sen with a modicum of confusion.
Han Sen waved his hand to interrupt him. He smiled and said, "You can use your Wanjie Rubix Cube to contact your Thousand Treasures friends, and perhaps, they might let you know a thing or two about me, as well."
Fang Qing Yu looked confused, and so he turned on his Wanjie Rubix Cube. In one of the squares, another member of the Thousand Treasures appeared. Fang Qing Yu spoke to him, and his expression became increasingly apprehensive as the conversation went on.
When the conversation was over, Fang Qing Yue turned and stared toward Han Sen for a long moment. A while later, he muttered, "Brother Han, are you not afraid that I will expose your location?"
"What is there to be afraid of? The Extreme King must already be in the Tianxia System by now, so it doesn't really matter," Han Sen said with a shrug. "Now you should understand why I don't want to bring you along. I cannot do the things you want me to, like stopping and collecting treasures along the way."
Fang Qing Yu's eyes brightened as he looked at Han Sen. "If that is true, you should definitely take me with you."
"Why?" Han Sen asked in surprise.
"Brother Han, I know you only want me off the ship so I don't get pulled into this, which was a kind thought. Also, I'm carrying a Wanjie Rubix Cube. You probably think that if I go with you, I might expose your location, and the Extreme King might have an easier time following you," Fang Qing Yu said.
"I'm glad that you understand," Han Sen said.
Fang Qing Yu shook his head. "But I also think you are wrong."
"How so?" Han Sen looked at Fang Qing Yu with interest.
"My presence might expose information about your escape, but that sort of exposure isn't necessarily a bad thing," Fang Qing Yu said seriously. There was no humor in his expression.
"What does that mean? I really don't understand," Han Sen replied.
Fang Qing Yu set the Wanjie Rubix Cube in front of Han Sen. "You can take the Wanjie Rubix Cube, and you can decide whether you want to turn it on or off. Or you could just throw me off the ship. But I must tell you that if you allow me to stay, I will expose your location with the Wanjie Rubix Cube. And I will take loads of photos."
"Fang Qing Yu, are you tired of living? Others might be afraid of the Thousand Treasures, but do you think a guy who disguised himself as a prince of the Extreme King would care about the life of some snot-nosed Thousand Treasures member?" Elysian Moon snorted in derision.
"Keep talking," Han Sen remained focused on Fang Qing Yu, and he didn't seem upset.
"Calm down, Elysian Moon. What I have said makes sense. I'm not selling Brother Han out." Fang Qing Yu paused. He looked at Han Sen and said, "Brother Han, you are escaping to Sky Palace, yes?"
"Yes," Han Sen answered immediately. He had never planned to hide the fact that Sky Palace was his destination. Otherwise, he wouldn't have let Miss Mirror know where he was going.
In fact, he wanted everyone to know he was going to Sky Palace.
"If I'm understanding the situation correctly, Brother Han, you are going through the Tianxia System to reach the systems of chaos in order to get to Sky Palace?" Fang Qing Yu asked.
"That is correct." Han Sen nodded.
"In that case, you should let me film this. And do it in HD quality." Fang Qing Yu sounded really excited.

   "you seem pretty lonely." Trent said as he sat right next to a young beaten up axel on the river banks, he had a rubix cube.
    Axel looked at him from head to toe and saw his tattoo, "I don't speak to disgusting things like you."
     "And exactly what makes us so disgusting?"
      "You think you're so special just because you have powers but that doesn't give you the right to beat up those who do not." He yelled.
      "Sheesh calm down, you're not the only one who gets beaten up, even those with weaker abilities are treated the same."
       "Oh yeah, who?"
      Trent looked down at his rubix cube and said, "Me. I can only produce sparks which do basically nothing and that does not protect me from the other kids."
    There was an awkward silence for a while.
   "You know how to solve that?" Axel asked, pointing at the cube.
  John nodded, "I can show you how to do it if you want."
     "Absolutely." Axel said and smiled.
  
  President axel was sitting in his office, in the mine while playing with his rubix cube.
   "My friend if only you were still alive to see our plan fall into place." He said while solving the cube. But he was interrupted by a knock on his office door.
    "Please do enter."
  Immediately he said that, the door opened and an unseen figure entered the room.
     " Ah Pete! It's been quite a while. I was beginning to think you changed sides."
     "We both know I can't do that even if I wanted to." Pete said coldly as he began to appear."
     "So what news do you have for me?"
     "Well they are not planning anything against you but they are expecting another war to break loose."
     "Is that all?"
     "And three high school guys pushed your daughter in the hole." Pete said and he immediately went silent when he realized he shouldn't have told him that. 
    The president put his rubix cube on his desk and calmly asked, "when did this happen?"
     "Uhm.... about two days ago." He hesitated.
     "Pete I'm sure you remember the terms of our agreement. Any delay in information results in the death of your family."
      "But the agreement didn't say I should babysit your daughter.....I'm so sorry I didn't mean to..... It was out of context."
        The president took a deep breath, turned on his office TV and on it they saw Pete's family sitting on a couch surrounded by guards, trembling.
         "What are you doing?" Pete asked afraid of what he was going to do.
         "Take the little one." The president said on his walky talky.
       "NO!, Please don't do this."
   They watched as the one of the guards forcefully grabbed Pete's little brother and pointed the gun towards him while Pete's family begged for mercy.
    Pete fell on his knees, with tears in his eyes he said, "please, please don't kill my brother I'll do whatever you want please."
     The president gave him a merciless look and said on his walky talky, "shoot him in leg."
       "NOoooooo!"
   His brother was shot in the leg and Pete watched as his  little brother fell to the ground in pain, in a pool of his own blood. His family cried and tried to go to him but they were held back by the guards.
     "W-why." Pete cried.
    "A person only learns when they are in pain. If you mess up again, I'll finish him and your family. Now leave before i change my mind."
     Pete gathered up his strength, turned invisible and left. 
   "I better make sure my brother's daughter is still alive." 

  "Are we there yet?!" Anna asked as she held on to the motorbike seat.
   "We'll get there when we get there." Nathan yelled.
They arrived at the farm and found the place filled with people working.
    "Nathan you're late, that's a first." The caretaker of the farm, jack, said as he was walking towards them.
    "Sorry, I had some loose ends I needed to tie up."
    "I see, who's your friend?"
     "I'm an-"
    "She's Janet, a cousin of mine. She's visiting for a couple of days."
     "Nice to meet you jan-"
     "Daddy!" A little girl shouted before jumping into Jack's arms.
     "Hi sweetie." Jack said as he kissed her forehead.
     "You brought Cassie here?"
     "Yep, her mother's out of town so I thought I'd show her the ropes."
       "Cool. Well we best be heading down to work now, come on Janet."
    

Brian Garcia awoke and looked around the room.

The room was empty white and the only thing in the room was a chair, a desk, and a man on a computer.  

???-Welcome to Heaven, I guess.  I'll be done with your papers soon so you can just wait until i'm done.

The man spoke with a clear voice before turning his view back to the old school-computer. 

Clicks could be heard as the man tapped the mouse before his eyes widened.

???-Humm, I see, oh, yep.  Okay, here's how it is.  Right here it says you were the lucky chosen candidate for the show so we'll make an exception for you.

The man said before turning to Brian.

???-Pay attention cause i'm only going to say this once, okay?  Great.  You've been chosen as the contestant for a show for gods to watch.  And as it'll be boring if we just threw you into a random world, the gods decided to give you 3 things, anything from abilities to some Gucci flip flops, anything you want, and we'll transport you to any world of your choosing.

Brian-Eh? What?

Brian was absolutely confused at was happening.  Brian was just thinking about how he was crossing the street and found a shiny penny-heads up so he bent over to pick it up before his vision blackened.  

And now he was being told he was in heaven and was chosen for a show or something, it was hard to process everything happening as would be for anyone that just had their vision darken and appear in a white room.

???-Hurry up and chose, I have other people to get done an I don't have all day to wait for you.

Brian-Eh, Okay.

Even though Brian wanted to yell he didn't even want to be here, he held it back and thought of things he would've taken over to another world from his occasional fantasies.

Brian-So the first ability I want is an ability that lets me eat anything and get bloodlines and abilities from the thing I ate without any of the weird side effects like body mutations and stuff.  The second thing I want is small world where a training it set up for me to master any weapon and survival tricks and anything that's just useful with a time dilution of 100-1, like the rubix cube from Tempest of Stellar War.  And the third thing I want is a cane that can turn into any weapon I want and grow alongside me.  As for which world, teleport me to Nanatsu no Taizai.

???-Okay.  Lemme make a few corrections here and there...Done.  Everything should be ready so ALAKAZAM. 

The man said as Brian's vision blurred.

Brian woke up and looked ahead.  In front of Brian was endless green with large trees growing.  Brian stood up as he looked around.

The first thing Brian noticed was that he was naked and there was a cane on the floor that Brian was able to feel the presence of without even looking.  The cane was a regular looking black wooden stick with brown leather at the top that was curved.

Brian didn't know where his rubix cube was before he instinctively felt that rubix cube on his body and looked towards his arm.  On Brian's right shoulder was a rubix cube that was the basic colors.  

Brian felt that just by thinking of a wanting to enter the space he would be able to.  He didn't know why but all the features and information about his abilities and cane were available in his mind.

Brian didn't do anything else after confirming everything was alright.

Looking around, Brian was able to see a pink pond with a cup at the center.

Brian immediately knew what the cup and pond was, the fountain of youth.

Brian noticed no one was around and walked up to the cup that granted Ban his immortality.  Brian, instead of grabbing the cup and drinking it, dived into the fountain of youth and immediately started chugging everything down.  

Brian finished drinking everything, but as the pond emptied, tree branches coiled around Brian as if attempting to block his escape.  Brian tried to run to the edge, but the tree branches were quicker, slashing his back as Brian got near the edge of tree, falling into the forest.

Just something I write for fun cause I found this idea interesting I guess

"What do I call you fur ball?" I ask. Her head tilts up staring at me. Her eyes are a deep shade of blue. They look beautiful.

She stares at me a long time. The soft breeze brushes her fur making it shine a bit more. I smile and touch my forhead to hers.

"Snow Lilly. I'll call you Snow Lilly" I say. Snow Lilly stares at me and I swore I saw her smile. She licks my hand and settles further into me and closes her eyes.

I smile and rock her back and forth slightly.

I stare outside the window at the lights outside. It's nighttime or maybe it's daytime and I just can't tell anymore.

Who knows?


A knock was sounded at the door and a few seconds later Danial walked in. He bowed towards me and raised his head.

"It's done. We have located the young master" he sais in a monotone voice. I don't say anything and continue to look out the window.

"Time?" I ask.

"Nighttime" he responds immediately.

I stick out my hand and he places a rubix cube in my hand that is completely messed up. I twist and turn it in my hand.

"Progress?" I ask. He stares at me then sighs.

"It isn't that simple your highness. The Red King is not to be bothered. He is known not to have weaknesses. And even if we did find it,obtaining it would be-" I cut him off by raising my finger.

Of course the Red King has no damn weakness. If he did I would have exploited it by now. Oh well, all in due time. 

"Other news?" I ask in a bored tone.

"It's done your highness" he says.

I stop messing with the cube and slowly turn around to face Danial. He stares at me with a blank expression.

"Done? Are you sure? You made no mistakes?" I ask hurridly. If he fucked up...

"No your highness. It is indeed the young master" He says with confidence. I stand up slowly and approach Danial.

"Where?"

"He is currently with The Red king" he says with a deadly tone. My face feeezes before hatred fills my veins. I can feel my cursed blood rushing in my ears. My body begins to shake.  I crush the rubix cube in my hand and throw it at the wall. I hear it shatter behind me but I choose to ignore it.

Always getting in my way. Why?! As if last time wasn't bad enough. Now he wants to take him from me?

I pace back and forth before stopping and looking out the window.

"Infiltrate his mansion and bring him to me!" I say excitedly. I want to see what he tries to do. I can't face him at the moment. I wish I could. He has something that belongs to me. 

"Is that your final order?"

"Did I stutter?"


Danial doesn't say anymore and bows and takes his leave. I stare out the window and walk towards the rubix cube and pick it up. I walk back towards my chair and sit down.

I twist and turn the cube in my hand and then stare at it. I throw it behind me hitting the chair and bouncing off.

I wonder if he remembers me? Does he care? Does he still love me? It'd be easy to find out if I could see him. But he may run away again.. 

If only.. 

I need to get him away from Ezra..

When I was sure that the two children were comfortable, and were soundly asleep, I left their room. My feet then brought me to the mansion's study. There were a lot of questions floating in my head, and I wanted answers. There's still time before dinner anyway, so I will spend it researching Lost's case.

In the end, though, my efforts were futile. Because I could not find any single clue regarding her.

"This is making my head, ache…" I muttered as I put down another book that I skimmed in record time.

And yes, my headache is starting again. These damn migraines…

I leaned back on the chair and stared at the chandelier. It sparkled like dazzling diamonds and almost hypnotizing to look at.

There's one more place that I could look to and I am sure the information would be there. The Tower of Archives, or as known as, The Tower of Magic.

If I really want to know, I could ask my brother to bring me to the palace. But that also means I would see Janus. Seeing Janus is still not on my to-do list though… At least, not for now, however curious I might be in him.

After all, it is said in the novel that Janus Cromwell is the most beautiful man in all of Rosenthal. If he is seriously the most superior in looks among all those male leads, of course, I would wonder what he looks like.

Imagine being the most handsome-looking out of Lukas, the rumored womanizer, and a heartbreaker; Nathaniel, the tsundere cool guy; and the flower prince, Ezekiel. 

'He must be looking like some deity then or whatever is superior out there if that is the case…'

But that look is dangerous too. He killed me in the novel ultimately. I mean not me, but novel Nadia.

'I sure am getting too comfortable living here huh. Feels like my days in the modern world were a dream and not the reality…'

Someone knocks on the door and Erin comes in.
"Milady, it's time for dinner."

Ah, it's late now huh… I forgot to check the time.

"Are the kids still asleep? How's the little guy?" I asked as I sauntered to her.

Erin then closes the door behind us, "They are both sound asleep, milady! The temperature of the boy has gone down either, he would surely be fine the day after tomorrow."

"Hmmm… That's good then."

Dinner came, and when dad joined us, I had asked him if the two children could stay with us. He was hesitant at first because we don't know their real backgrounds. But he agreed in the end after I begged him, though. 

We can bring them to an orphanage if we want to, but that would be too unfeeling on our part if we could afford to adopt them anyway. Moreover, there's that situation with Lost either. 

Nathaniel did not object and remained silent in regards to the subject. I assumed that he too agrees to my request.

Two days had passed since then. Mari had bought clothes for both Lost and the nameless boy. The latter had also finally recovered and had opened his eyes the next day. He was wary at first and would hide underneath the bed covers when anyone comes in.

It took half a day before I got to properly talk to him without him avoiding me. It was also because of Lost's effort of telling her friend that I am not going to hurt them.

Now we're here in the garden, enjoying the sun. I have no classes today, so I get to play with them. Lost were beside him, munching on a cookie while the other was fiddling with a cube. It was a Rubix cube, which surprised me yet again that it also exists here. 

I was in front of them while Mari and the others were at the side, talking to each other.

My eyes turned to him, "Do you remember your name?"

The child stopped and looked at me, then shook his head. I have asked him about his name before but it appeared that he doesn't know it. He said he forgot, so I could not find anything about him. Where he came from, and the reason why he's on the streets with Lost. 

If he could not remember anything, then that means I could not ask him about Lost either. Gathering intel was a failure.

Anyway, he hasn't appeared that much in the book, so everything about him is one big puzzle to me. 

"Do you want me to give you one?" I asked.

It wouldn't be practical if I just refer to him as a kid, little boy, or child every time. Giving a name would make things easier if he's going to live with us onwards.

The child shyly looked down at the cube and nodded. This was also one of his characteristics, he doesn't talk much. I bet he and Nathaniel would get along just fine, and would probably understand each other without opening their mouths.

'Heh~ I could imagine it.'

I racked my brain for something good. Just as I said before, I couldn't remember what Estelle named him, so I will just come up with another.

I silently studied him. From his shaggy black hair to those beautiful blue eyes of him, the color of the ocean.

Ocean…

"Kai," I declared, which made both Lost and him look at me, "I will name you Kai."

Kai means sea in Hawaiian and it definitely suits him. 

The child's blue eyes sparkled like the sea under the sun, "Kai…" he whispered.

"Do you like it?" I asked.

A small smile appeared on his lips, "Mmm…"

"I'm glad," I mumbled.

Naming a person sure is hard. But Kai… I like the sound of it. Fufufufu~

"Kai is your name now? It sounds pretty," Lost commented at the side as she drinks her tea. Her hair was clipped to the side which made her look so adorable.

'I do not know what she is but she sure is cute…'

Kai glances at her and chomps on a cookie, he looks at peace and happy. 

'They are both adorable-looking, what do I do…'
