This is the short story of a man who transmigrated into the resident-evil-like game.

　　A similar opening to the story echoed in Han Dong's mind. 
  
　　When he reopened his eyes, he was standing in front of a dimly lit gas station in his police uniform. 
  
　　A police car with an open door was parked here. 
  
　　Needless to say, here, there is definitely something wrong with the convenience store set up inside the gas station. 
  
　　Inside the dark and gloomy convenience store, a police officer with a neck bite reaches out and points to the back-warehouse area. 
  
　　Ahhhhh! 
  
　　The man with festering skin and white pupils was munching on something inside. 
  
　　『Warm-up phase: escape from the gas station. 』 
  
　　"Warm-up phase, this event is quite humanely produced." 
  
　　In order to get the highest rating at each stage, Han Dong went all out. 
  
　　Just as the zombies smelled Han Dong's raw scent and quickly pounced. 
  
　　For a moment, the hell-burning heat and eerie evil air spilled out together. 
  
　　The kitchen knife and the chain fell on the poor zombie brother's head almost simultaneously.

Being re-birthed as a cell, Han Dong utilized the power of the Prison code and came into a parallel world where the Ancient Ones have awakened.
A steam powered civilization, horrifying subspaces, the Ancient King of the Eternal Night and strange monsters lurking outside the city.
The door of Destiny has been opened - Crusaders, Library, Control, Machinery and Mysticism would become the new growth system for human development.

"But does this beetle have an auditory organ? How should I control it?"
At that moment, it struck Feng Luo that the beetle was certainly an AI. But could it understand his commands? And cooperate with him during fights?
As soon as he thought of that, he felt a sudden tremor in his head. It seemed as though a message was being transmitted to his mind. He experienced a friendly and pleasing sensation.
"So, this is 'mental link'?"
Feng Luo looked at the dancing Golden Beetle on the table in awe. He had thought the mental link could only be used between the Golden King Beetle and ordinary beetles, but apparently, it also worked on him—the pet's owner.
According to the description he had previously read, the mental link was not just for transmitting messages but could also share the vision and hearing of the Scout Beetle. For a Sniper like him, this was beyond awesome!
"Level up! Level up!"
Feng Luo already had a smug look on his face. He quickly stood up and prepared to level up—something that he had wanted to do for a long time. Whether it was for him or the pet, leveling up was imperative.
Ding…
However, at that moment, someone contacted Feng Luo through the communicator.
"What's up?" Feng Luo answered the communicator; Mu Wu was on the other line.
"Don't tell me that you have forgotten," he said. "You promised the boss that you would help with the last phase of the building mission. This mission shouldn't begin until a few days later, but Lu Chen decided to make hay while the sun was shining. He went ahead to the center and accepted the mission today."
Feng Luo frowned. He remembered that he had "sold himself" in exchange for the Desert Eagle. He had volunteered for the clearance mission previously, so he still had to keep his word in completing this mission asked of him.
"What mission was that?" he asked.
"The Federal Bureau of Investigation suspects that a biopharmaceutical company was working in collusion with the prison that carried out human testing on prisoners. They need someone to investigate their secret manufacturing base."
"A biopharmaceutical company?" said Feng Luo.
"To be exact," Mu Wu said into the communicator, "it doesn't just involve a biopharmaceutical company. In fact, it's a conglomerate including the field of medicine, medical hardware, mechanics, biochips, and some of the most advanced technologies. It is said that they even have a security department consisting of thousands of people. The company has close ties with many federal senators and even high-ranking officers in the military, so the FBI can't conduct an official investigation on them without a warrant. Hence, they have entrusted this matter to the players."
"As expected, they're using some big shots for protection," Feng Luo chimed in. "It always happens, in every era and in every form of governments!"
He knew the company was already at fault without the need to investigate them. Otherwise, they wouldn't have entrusted this to the players.
"Oh, you know about the Umbrella Corporation? Mu Zi has mentioned it to you before?" Mu Wu sounded a bit confused from the other end of the communicator.
"No, I was only giving an example—" said Feng Luo to clarify, but he cut himself off. His voice went up a notch. "Hold on… What did you say? The company is called Umbrella?"
"Yes! Umbrella. Why? What's wrong?" Mu Wu obviously found this strange. It was rare for Feng Luo to sound so surprised.
"No… This is not right!" Feng Luo said repeatedly.
He suddenly recalled the time when he had been scanning through the CCTV in the Silver Leaf Island military camp. There had been a logo on some boxes that were being carried by the two researchers dressed in lab coats. Stripes of red and white—wasn't that the logo of the Umbrella Corporation in Resident Evil?
No wonder he felt deja vu; he had never expected Resident Evil to appear in this game!
Crap… thought Feng Luo. Resident Evil… T-virus infection and… Alice?
At first, Feng Luo thought of a scene from the Resident Evil movie—the one about the apocalypse and a bunch of zombies.
Then he thought of something else. The movie actually based on the video game Resident Evil. For some reason, it had turned out to be more iconic than the movie.
No! It could be Chris, Ada Wong, or Leon!
Since there were Zergs from StarCraft, he wasn't too surprised by the appearance of Resident Evil. After all, they were both classics in another world. But this was a reference to Resident Evil! And he didn't know if it was based on the settings of the video games or the movies.
Feng Luo was familiar with the Resident Evil series, both the video games and movies. This was because an American from California—one of the members of the mercenary groups Feng Luo had had a long-term partnership with—had been a big fan of Resident Evil. He'd collected various posters, videos, novels, PS3 video games, and even pirated versions of the video games.
Feng Luo had played this bloody, thrilling game, which also had scary scenes every once in a while, with his fellow mercenaries. The excitement and anxiety experienced while playing the game would sort of ease their tension, especially when they came across a grim reaper.
As for the movie, he certainly had not had time to watch it in the cinemas. He had only watched it parts on his computer during his leisure time. Hence, whether this was a setting taken from the movie or the video game, Feng Luo had a sort of prophetic advantage.
However, Feng Luo thought that it wouldn't be much use relying on prophecies. After all, War was quite a flexible game. The involvement of players would probably alter the storyline.
At the moment, this advantage was no doubt still helpful. At least he knew about the Umbrella Corporation and what they were up to. He also knew what monsters he would encounter in this mission.
Feng Luo was thinking, yet it didn't stop him from asking Mu Wu, "Hold on, for this mission… how many of us are participating? Do I know anyone? "
"Not many," Mu Wu replied. "15 including you. Most of them are from the head office, but there are three that you know of. Mu Zi was selected because of his talent. Also, he just got a rare new graded recon meter yesterday. Plus, Sister Rui volunteered, and the boss approved. What I'm trying to say is, at least you won't feel too lonely in this mission."
Mu Wu jokingly placed emphasis on the word "lonely."
"Lastly, Chen Ao Tian, who died the day before yesterday, was also on the list, but I'm guessing you're not fond of this acquaintance."
"Two Machine Gunners," said Feng Luo. "Are we getting ready for crossfire? When does our mission start?"
"We still have ample time," said Mu Wu. "Tentatively, it begins in three days. We will depart at 7:00 p.m.!"
"Three days? That's not so bad!"
The frown that Feng Luo had immediately disappeared. He had been worried that he wouldn't have time to train his pet. Nonetheless, he had an idea.
Lin and Aike seemed to have something on the Umbrella Corporation, and he had Lin's contact information. Plus, he hadn't accomplished the mission of helping Lin with the W-virus. This was a good time to get in touch with her.
W-virus. T-virus. Judging from the similarities in names, it seemed as though they might have some connection. Even if there wasn't a connection, at least Lin would probably know a little about the T-virus. And, just to be safe, he might as well get some antivirus serum from Lin to prevent the disease.
"Oh yeah. One more thing," Mu Wu added. "The equipment dropped by the Boss Spray Beetle which killed during the clearance mission has been certified. One of them is a Level 40 rare SUA combat suit. I figured you could use it. Forget about it if you don't want it!"
"Send it over!" Feng Luo immediately dismissed Mu Wu's attempt to take away the equipment he deserved.
SUA combat suits. They were probably the same series of armor that Sister Rui wore but with slightly lower attributes. At any rate, its level was behind her suit.


As an international mercenary, Feng Luo entered a technologically advanced parallel world during a mission.

After living several years in the new world, an online sci-fi game called War became popular across the entire Star Federation.

Desert Eagles, Barrett, AK-47, Apache, RPG... One after another, familiar gears awakened his memories of the past!

Terminator, Zerg, Resident Evil, the Force,... The missions that appeared after a system update made him even more suspicious and shocked! As such, Feng Luo entered War and became a sniper.

Just like the procedure before, Chen Chen first sent a Black Knight in a protective suit into the tunnel.
However, before the Black Knight entered, Chen Chen suddenly halted. "Hold on!" 
Then, he retrieved a live BE-006 virus strain for the Black Knight and said, "Alright, if there's any danger on the other side, immediately return to the tunnel. Otherwise, continue scouting around for an hour before returning. Do you understand?" 
The Black Knight mechanically nodded and immediately crossed over the tunnel into an endless dark void. 
Watching the Black Knight leave, Chen Chen did not let his guard down at all. It was because the tunnel was connected to the first movie of the Resident Evil series. According to the USB drive's logic, the tunnel should reach directly to the Hive on the other end. 
However, Chen Chen was unsure at which timeline was the tunnel reaching. As a result, he stationed several dozens of armed Black Knight guarding at the entrance of the tunnel. 
If any zombies and Lickers came charging from the other end of the tunnel, they would be greeted by hails of bullets. 
To prevent the bullet from damaging the negative pressure isolation walls, Chen Chen had also installed some wooden barriers behind the computer. 
Fortunately, it seemed like there were no dangers on the other end. More than ten minutes had passed and the Black Knight had yet to return. 
Of course, if the Black Knight had still not returned after an hour, it would indicate that there was a problem on the other hand and Chen Chen had to be cautious. 
In the opening scene of the first movie, a spy had released the T-virus in the Hive. Following the detection of the virus by the supercomputer Red Queen, it attempted to stop the spread by shutting the Hive down and killing more than 500 researchers through poison gas. 
The headquarters then sensed that something was off and proceeded to send a special task force to shut the Red Queen Down and so began the entire story plot… 
However, later in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, the Hive was upgraded into a cryogenic institute to store the bodies of the company's executives. The T-virus, which was supposedly invented by the wheelchair-bound scientist, Dr. Charles Ashford, was revised to be invented by James Marcus instead in the last chapter.
Furthermore, the Red Queen's image was also inconsistent. In the second movie, the Red Queen was said to be modeled after Dr. Ashford's daughter, Angela. Whereas in the final chapter, it was said that the Red Queen was shaped after Marcus' daughter, Alicia, in her childhood. 
The plot seemed to contradict itself. Even the supposed accident that caused the leakage of T-virus was later revised to be a deliberate plot by the Umbrella Corporation to eradicate humanity. 
When Chen Chen was chasing the series, he was clueless toward the end. 
Another half an hour had passed. Suddenly, a bright glow appeared in the room while Chen Chen quickly rushed to the source. Indeed, the Black Knight had returned to the real world. 
Immediately after the Black Knight's return, the researchers immediately followed a series of protocols to ensure the protective suit was not contaminated by special microorganisms. They had also checked the live strain of BE-006 virus and found that the virus strain was still alive.
"Looks like once the USB drive formed the tunnel, organic life can now pass through it!" 
Chen Chen was visibly overjoyed. 
He had once sent the Black Knight into the world of Chronicle, but found that the number of microorganisms attached to the Black Knight's protective suit had severely diminished. Chen Chen thought that the tunnel could not ferry any organic life over, which included microorganisms. 
Yet, the trial this time indicated that it seemed like this rule had been broken. 
Could it be that the tunnel had always allowed organic life to travel, but it was just that these microorganisms were killed previously? 
Perhaps it was a setting to protect newbies. Could it be that it killed those microorganisms to protect the USB drive's new user from infection? 
Chen Chen considered many factors. 
However, it was not the right time to answer those questions. Chen Chen retrieved the records of the Black Knight and began to observe what it was like in the other world. 
The result excited Chen Chen. 
Indeed, the tunnel did lead to the Hive's experiment labs. Chen Chen could even see corpses covering the floor, some of those even belong to the Lickers. 
However, the bodies had already long decomposed into bones. 
It looked like the timeline the tunnel connected to was long after the events in Resident Evil 1.
Other than that, electricity supplies to the Hive had long been cut off. Therefore, there were no alarms triggered upon the arrival of his Black Knight. 
Chen Chen had long known the source of the Hive's electricity. It was nuclear-powered and it was likely that it was only in hibernation mode. 
The Black Knight did not discover the cryogenic room that was featured in the last installation of the movie. The Hive that the Black Knight roamed was the ordinary experimental lab that was featured in the first movie. It was nothing like the grand military base that was featured in the final chapter. 
Could it mean that the first and final installation of the Resident Evil movie series was two fundamentally different worldviews? 
Chen Chen thought silently. He shut the tunnel down and downloaded a copy of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter into his USB drive. 
"Dong!" 
An error box popped out on the screen. Chen Chen realized that he could not fit the movie into his USB drive.
If that was the case, Chen Chen decided to not bother any further. Based on the recordings from the Black Knight, he prepared a welding gun, gunpowder, a calculator, and a hard disk.
