In all my life I never desired to be extraordinary.  I was content with my normal life. I lived ordinarily and got to experience the extraordinary in the form of books. Reading about men with the strive to make themselves amazing. Men with a strive for power. I never understood why they wanted power...
not until...
it was too late.

Some men just love to see the world burn. This is the story of Jonathan Schafer, a billionaire with an act for pursuing things he shouldn't. He has a firm grasp on how numerous world governments conduct themselves, and he has eyes infiltrating all of them. Keep reading and find out what he does with his power.

"Run... Run..." A queue of the men scampered. The rustling sound was created through their footsteps on the deciduous leaves.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"

The gunshots fired at them but the men were smart and sensitive to hear the sound of triggers that they hid behind the trunk of the trees at the right moment which resultant the gunshot ended on the trunk with a spark.
"Fuckers!" One of the men cursed and started to run again.
"We need to warn boss." Another of the men said.
"Divide into two teams." The first man said and in a twinkle, the men divided into two teams and scuttled.
A group following after the men was also divided into two team "Team B, that way."
'Bang!'

The group continued to fire then after a break of a few minutes and the men were smart enough to hide or one could say foolish enough to not understand their enemy's intention.
The group was firing on the men only with the intention that these men would run back towards the place where they had been hiding out since months just like rats running back towards their bills upon sensing the danger.
The group was closely following the men but not so close to catch them. After running for a while, they finally found a two storey house hidden in between the trees.
The moonlight was casting on it enough to know its structure "Team A, we have found the target. North-east side." Leader of the Team B of the group informed his other team once the men went inside the house.
The leader commanded his team "Surround the house."
Whereas on the other side of the forest.
"Kill the men." The leaders of team A ordered.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"

.
This time, the men couldn't save themselves from the gunshot and soon, all the men died out with the single shot.

Inside the study room of the house.
"Boss...Boss...They are here." One of the men gushed.
The dim light was lit up the entire room but enough to see the fear in the eyes of the men.
Markus was standing on the chair behind the huge table and Xin Chao was standing behind him like a loyal servant.
Although the manpower was less, Xin Chao never let his boss feel a lack of any kind of service or things. He was always present to fulfill every order of his boss.
They had been hiding here since the last few months and Xin Chao reported the situation to his boss every day.
"How many of them?" Xin Chao was quick to ask as he was already expecting the arrival of the enemy.
"They are many around 100 or 500. We try to divert them by dividing into two groups but they still follow us here." The man replied anxiously.
"You dim-witted, you shouldn't have come here in the first place!" Xin Chao couldn't help but kick the man as the foolish men not only didn't fight back but also brought the enemy to their home.
100 or 500. That was so many while they were a few.
A pang of panic was clearly seeing in Xin Chao. There weren't many men left on their side while the enemy was in large numbers. Thus, the outcome of the war was clear as day.
"Xin Chao…" Markus who was quietly listening up called out after a while.
"Boss, we need to run away." Xin Chao was quick to come up with the idea which they had been doing since the last few months. Running away from one to another before Mo Jiang's team caught them.
As a result, there weren't many places left for them to hide or none had left.
However, this time, Mo Jiang, Liu Juan, and Michael came here personally, thus, how far they could run away?
"Set the under miles inside the house," Markus said after a deep thought which shocked not only the men but also Xin Chao.
"Boss…"
Set Under Miles inside the house?
This house was in the best-hidden location, if they would burst this house, wouldn't it be their loss?  
"We can't win this time, so let's just take our friends down with us." Markus walked towards the window to view a quiet night but he knew that it was quite opposite.
'Let's take our friends down with us.'
Did it mean it was 'The End' for them?
"But Boss…" Xin Chao refused to accept this fact.
"You can run away if you want to." Markus suddenly interrupted him.
However, this sentence was not for only Xin Chao, but also for everyone. These men were still here which meant that they still had trust in their boss that he would reverse the situation like before where they ruled The American Underworld.

Outside the house.
Team B had surrounded the house so that no one could run away and Team A had reached near the house.  
Everyone was holding the fully loaded guns in their hands and was smoothly glide towards the entrance of the house under the leadership of one man.  
Although everyone's face was covered, everyone knew who was the leader of this mission.
After securing all the surroundings, the leader gave the hint to enter inside the house, and with one kick, the door of the house opened, and the men slide inside the house.

     After getting some books and scrolls about the fundamentals of this world's magic, Merlin went to find a nice place to read. He walked while carrying a stack of books that almost reached his chin and the scrolls between his torso and the stack.

     "Hidden in a corner, and far from the entrance... This spot is good." (Merlin)

     He carefully put down the books and the scrolls on the table, after which he sat down on the armchair and made himself comfortable. He looked for something to read and decided the "Magic: Fundamentals" was the first one.

     He read silently. His reading speed was fast, thanks to his superhuman condition. He only had to glance at the page to remember the full content. Even though he could read the book in a few minutes, he leisurely took his time to relax.

     The "Magic: Fundamentals" was deceptively thick, but it only contained less than fifty sheets. Why it was so thick was due to the materials. It used parchments instead of papers.

     "So, there are mysterious molecules in their air, generated by the world. These molecules are called Magicules. These mysterious molecules are the source of magic. Humans, demi-humans, elves, demons, animals, monsters, and even plants are absorbing Magicules as they respire. However, not anyone can use magic, or in the case of plants, they will mutate, either turning into plant monsters or plants that can be used as reagents. Sentient beings like humans, elves, demi-humans, and demons need the talent to use magic, though demons seem to have an easier time in utilizing magic." (Merlin) 

     He read for a while. He only stopped to change his reading materials, to return the books and scrolls, and get the new ones.

     And so, a few hours passed.

     From his reading, Merlin discovered several important points regarding this world's magic.

1. Magicules are the name of magic energy in this world. It is the main component of magic. The building blocks, so to speak.

2. There are two types of magic. Dynamic and Static.

     Dynamic-type Magic is magic that can be changed directly and immediately after it's cast. Manipulation of raw magic and transmutation of magic energy into elements is the example of Dynamic type magic.

     Dynamic-type Magic has several classifications; Offensive Magic, Defensive Magic, Support Magic, and lastly, Curse.

     Offensive Magic is the magic that can be used offensively, e.g. throwing fireballs, manipulating earth golems, controlling water whips, etc.

     Defensive Magic is the magic used to defend or protect something, e.g. earth wall to block an attack, barrier to stop an attack, etc.

     Support Magic is the magic used supportively, e.g. healing magic, curative magic, long-distance scrying, enhancement, etc.

     Lastly, Curse Magic is the malicious magic used only to harm, and the effect is always nasty and isn't direct, e.g. sleeping curse, health deterioration curse, etc.

     The second type of magic, Static, is a magic that can't be changed change directly and immediately after being cast. Alchemy and Enchantment are examples of this type.

     In alchemy, the end product that is created using magic like recovery and curative potions can't change its effect unless they expire. Meanwhile, Enchantment on weapons or armor is also similar. When they are cast, it won't change the effect unless the enchantment is undone or expired.

2. One needs an aptitude for magic. Not everyone has this aptitude. Those who have the aptitude can use magic. They are colloquially referred to as Magic Practitioners, which is divided into several "classes" according to the branch of Magic they are good at.

     Mages are generalist women and men who can use multiple different branches of magic. They are basically a jack of all trades.

     Sorcerers are women and men who are really good at offensive magic.

     Priestesses are women who lack potent offensive power but extremely good in defensive and supportive. It's rare in this world, but men who are also in this category are called Priests.

     Alchemists are women or men who are focusing on creating products with various magical effects from magical materials such as magical plants, ores, and monster parts.

     Enchanters are women or men who are focusing on applying magical effects on items such as armor, weapons, or even tools and appliances.

     Witch are the women who are good at curses. For men, they are called Warlock.

     As an aside, Merlin discovered that in this world, women are more blessed with talent than men. It could be seen in how women are more active in society.

     Back to the topic...

3. Magic Practitioners are casting their spells by imposing their desire and willpower on the Magicules that are inhabiting their bodies. When those Magicules are out while carrying the desire of the Magic Practitioners, they will affect the neutral Magicules in the air and cause the phenomenon called Magic.

4. There is no concept of 'Magic Core', 'Magic Circuits', or 'Magic Pool' in the body of Magic Practitioners. The maximum amount of Magicules that can be stored is up to the body of the Magic Practitioners. However, it doesn't mean that the amount of stored Magicules is unchangeable. One can do some magic exercises, e.g. meditation while absorbing Magicules and storing them in one's body to increase the quality and quality of the Magicules.

     Apparently, only demons have an easier time regarding this. Unlike humans, demi-humans, and elves, it is like they are existed to be a race that excels in magic.

     That was why in this world, it was the union of humanity, elves, and demi-humans against the demon and their controlled monsters.

5. As long as there are Magicules in the air, Magic Practitioners won't lack 'fuel' to do magic. They are absorbing Magicules into their bodies as they respire, after all. When Magic Practitioners feel exhausted after using magic, what exhausted is their mental energy.

     Apparently, coaxing Magicules is not easy. To make it easy to comprehend, imagine coaxing a stubborn horse. Can you imagine yourself coaxing a stubborn horse? If you're not being careful, you can get hurt. Oftentimes, you feel mentally drained after that. Coaxing Magicules in one's body is like that. Those accomplished Magic Practitioners are someone with discipline and strong willpower.

     Of course, there is an exception. Hero and Dark Lord are two beings that overturn the common sense of Magic Practitioners.

     First, Hero, who has the mysterious power to empower women. There were studies about this phenomenon, but the secret had yet to be discovered. However, there was a theory that said imbibing in the Hero's semen increased women's synchronization with the Magicules in their body and enhanced the quality of their stored Magicules.

     Of course, it was just a theory.

     For the Dark Lord. There were only speculations. However, the most common belief was that the Dark Lord had a high synchronization rate with Magicules in the air... as if she could command them like a ruler commanding their subordinates and servants to do their biddings.

     Of course, it was just one of many speculations.

     "How curious... I want to know why Hero's semen can empower women for a certain period of time. I also want to know about the secret of the Dark Lord's power... But, that is for after I finished what I have to do here... In this country..." (Merlin)

     Other than the fundamentals of magic, Merlin had also read about other subjects involving magic, e.g. the introduction to other branches such as Alchemy and Enchantment.

     "That was tiring... I want to take a break..." Merlin looked at the books and scrolls momentarily before silently deciding to return them to their respective original places.

     When he walked with the books and scrolls in his hands, he saw a familiar woman in the armor of the Royal Guard.

     She was reading a book quietly, disconnected from the outside world. She was in a blind spot of the librarian and the entrance to the library, just like his previous reading spot.

     (Elize, huh? That's right... In the Doujin, it's said she likes books and is Mila's reading buddy. What is she reading? 'Tale of the Hero and the Knight'? Is that a record of the actual event or a novel using the hero as the character, I wonder...)

     After a short consideration, Merlin decided to change his plan. He went to Elize's table. Elize didn't seem to sense his approach. She only took her eyes off her book when he put his books and scrolls on the table with a *thud!*.

     "Huh! Eh? S-sir Merlin?! You're here! Why are you here?" Elize quickly hid her book behind her and asked, blushing and acting flustered.

     "I'm here to read. Well, I have finished, though," Merlin said dryly while pointing at the stack of books and the pile of scrolls on the table.

     Elize turned her gaze to those items and nodded in understanding. Her blush receded until a faint hue left on her face. "I see... What were you reading, sir?"

     "I'm reading the fundamentals of magic in this world..." (Merlin)

     "Hmm? Do you have interest in magic?" (Elize)

     "Yeah. I'm curious about the magic of this world. By the way, would you mind if I accompany you?" (Merlin)

     Elize looked pensive for a few moments before nodding. She spoke, "It will be my pleasure, sir. Feel free to sit and make yourself comfortable."

     Merlin nodded in gratitude and sat on the only free armchair there. There were only two chairs, and Elize was using one.

I look at Lord Deng, ignoring Adviser Cao and say, "Lord Deng, you may rise. Since you are the messenger of this procession, you should announce the gifts and allow your men to present them to me."
Lord Deng, who is on his knees quickly stands up and says, "Lord Deng thank the Sect Master for his grace."
He quickly gives his men who are kneeling at the behind him a glance, and they all respectfully stand up and give a bow. Once they have bowed, they quickly move towards the gifts at the side of the room and start working.
Lord Deng who has been watching his men start work, takes a deep breath and pulls a scroll out from his sleeve pocket. He gently opens the scroll and starts reading off the scroll.
"His Majesty, the Emperor of the Empire officially congratulates Sect Master Shang Shi on the founding of his Sect, The Broken Heaven Sect." Lord Deng pauses after reading the sentence, and sneaks a glance at me from the corner of his eyes and tries to get a read on me.
This sentence is informative and it shows the power of the Empire. While I am sure that right now, everyone in the city is loyal to me, the Empire is still able to get information out from the city. The Emperor has also recognised my legitimacy as one of the Immortal Sects and will not deal with us, but has pushed the responsibility of dealing with us to the other Immortal Sects. The emperor's calling of my full name also implies that I am not ranked above him, and at most is of the same status as him.
While I am reading into the emperor's intentions, Lord Deng is unable to get a read on me as I show no reaction and quickly continues reading. 
"Since Sect Master Shang Shi has a fondness for He Jin city and has renamed He Jin city into Broken Paradise city, the first gift that the Empire will bestow is the Broken Paradise city." Lord Deng says loudly.
Again, the emperor is addressing me by my full name and has used the word bestow, which implies that I am of lower status and is still a subject of the Empire. This suggests that if I accept the gifts, I am acknowledging that I am still a subject of the Empire.
By giving a city away so easily, it also shows the power and wealth of the Empire and is supposed to make me cautious or maybe the Emperor just wants me to do nothing. Perhaps the Emperor wants me to wait quietly for the other Immortal Sects to deal with me. Since if they decide that we are unworthy to be one of the Immortal Sects, they will just kill us all and everything will be returned to the Empire.
Lord Deng seems to be unaware of the contents of the scroll since he is shocked right now. Even Adviser Cao is in a state of shock. While Adviser Cao has tried to hide his emotions, he cannot hide the subtle actions of his body, such as his pupils dilating and his heart beating faster.
While other people might be unable to perceive these, I am able to see every action that his body makes, no matter how small and hear the sound of his heart beating as well. This ability of mine has increased with each breakthrough I go through. Only my mother knows that my senses are exceptionally powerful and she told me not to tell anyone, so I have not told anyone so far.
Lord Deng quickly recovers from his shock and continues reading off the list but the gifts from now on are just the normal tributes that the Empire pays to the other Immortal Sects.
"The emperor hopes that the Broken Heaven Sect will become a powerful force of the Sword Continent, just like the other Immortal Sects and bestows two thousand spirit stones. The emperor also hopes that the disciples of the Broken Heaven Sect will dutifully protect their home from the foreign invaders and bestows five thousand fine steel swords, three thousand staves and two thousand fine steel spears."
This part makes me frown a little and Lord Deng paused when he noticed my frown. The weapons that the Emperor has given us are all standard weapons of the imperial army and the emperor have also reminded us that the Empire is our home and we should protect it. He also talked about the duties of the Immortal Sects and since we claim to be a sect, we should fight against the foreigners just like the other Immortal Sects. It is almost as if he is treating us like a part of the army right now. 
Lord Deng softly coughs to give himself an excuse for pausing and continues reading the scroll.
"The Emperor also bestows a thousand horses, in the hopes that the Broken Heaven Sect will be swift and powerful when engaging their enemies, and a thousand bags of corn to feed them. The Emperor also gifts a thousand bags of rice to the people living in the Broken Paradise City for their bravery in the past year. Finally, the Emperor would like to arrange a marriage between Sect Master Shang Shi and one of his beloved princess. Unfortunately, the princess is only five years old so the wedding can only be held eleven years later when the princess is of age and hopes that Sect Master Shang Shi will come to the capital to see the princess soon."
Once he is finished reading the message, Lord Deng slowly rolls up the scroll and respectfully passes it to Dang Ding who is standing at the side.
It looks like the emperor, despite being the most untalented of his brothers is still someone I cannot take lightly. When he gave us the horses, he reminded us to be quick in fighting their enemies. When he gave the rice, he gave it to the city instead of the sect and praised them for their bravery. Specifically, their bravery in living under me and finally arranged a marriage between me and his princess that would only occur years later in the event that the other Immortal Sects do not kill me.
Lord Deng and Adviser Cao are now looking at me, examining me and waiting for my response. According to etiquette, I should not refuse gifts from the emperor and should thank the emperor for his gifts. However, I am now not a citizen of the Empire so how can I accept the gifts without thanking the Emperor?
There is only one way.
I look at Adviser Cao with a grin and say, "Advisor Cao has not shown the proper etiquette to me and has been rude. Drag him out and whip him thirty times before tossing him out of the city! As for the rest of their men, throw them all out and only return their horses to them! Dang Ding, return the scroll to Lord Deng!."
I stand up and walk back to my room, while shouts resound throughout the room. There is no need to watch because they are no match for Dang Ding and his men. They will be thrown outside of the city walls within an hour.
As I walk towards my room, Lang Meng Ding is waiting for me outside. I give him a glance and say, "Bring everything to Ming Li. He will know what to do with the gifts."

Soon, the music had stopped, the lights of the room switched on along with the laughing voice echoing in the room.
"You…" Mo Lingtan was looking at Lee Xuiye, astonishedly, and then his sight went towards Long Xue who was hiding behind Wu Ze.
Long Xue had promised to keep his plan under wrap but she dared to betray him.

Like Mo Lingtan, Lee Xuiye always felt insecure. What if Mo Lingtan would leave her because of someone else? And because of her pregnancy, her feeling of insecurity was at the highest level though she didn't show it in front of Mo Lingtan.
Thus, she couldn't help but discreetly check Mo Lingtan's phone every night when he went to shower and that was where Lee Xuiye had found out about Mo Lingtan's plan regarding the replacement of the male hosts in her bachelorette party. 
Honestly, Lee Xuiye never had the plan to invite the male hosts in the first place as she knew that no other man in this world would entertain her other than Mo Lingtan himself.
Then who had put this absurd thought in his mind? Lee Xuiye thought to herself and went to check further.
Though she didn't know the person who put this thought in Mo Lingtan's mind, maybe it was his own thinking but then, unanticipated to her, she found out through messages that Mo Lingtan was planning to threaten Long Xue to get the information about the male hosts, who didn't exist in the first place.
What was he thinking and doing?
Mo Lingtan had already put her friendship with Long Xue at stake once and now, he was going to do the same thing again.
No way!
Mo Lingtan could threaten everyone but not her friends. As a result, Lee Xuieye immediately planned to teach Mo Lingtan a lesson and take revenge for Long Xue, Mo Lingtan's last time rude behavior towards her friend.
With that, Lee Xuiye deliberately said in front of Mo Lingtan that she had given the responsibility to invite male hosts to Long Xue, though the rest of her bachelorette party's responsibility had been given to Mo Lingtan.

Therefore, soon after Mo Lingtan left, Long Xue called Lee Xuiye to inform everything about Mo Lingtan's plan.
Mo Lingtan, being a selfish person who didn't care about anyone else except Lee Xuiye, didn't bother to bring an extra man for Long Xue who was still an unmarried damsel. However, how could Lee Xuiye not care about her friend?
Hence, she called Wu Ze to come and be the partner of Long Xue without letting Long Xue know about it.

Back to being a laughing stock.
Mo Lingtan wanted to cut Long Xue's head off, but then Lee Xuiye came in front of him.
"What are you planning to do?" Lee Xuiye asked overbearingly.
"You tricked me!" Mo Lingtan unhappily snapped as it was the first time in his life that someone had dared to trick him.
Unfortunately for him, he couldn't do anything to the person who had bravely tricked him, therefore, he wanted to deal with the other people who had helped her.
"Didn't you plan to trick me as well by threatening my friend? I have read all of your phone's messages."
Mo Lingtan's mouth was shut in shock by this revelation, not that he minded as he knew that he wouldn't cheat on his wife but there were some things which he didn't want to reveal in front of her like this plan and his other surprises.
Hearing that they were tricked by the ladies, the men turned their unhappy looks from Li Yan towards Mo Lingtan.

"We planned that because we got to know you guys were inviting some male hosts to entertain you ladies. How could we allow any other men to be naked in front of you, thus, we come here instead?" Yang Rong justified their actions as they did nothing wrong and these ladies should give back their clothes and let them go.
But then Lee Xuiye dropped the bomb on the men "But we never planned to invite any male hosts in the first place." 
Hearing this, all the men felt the ground slipping under their feet[1] that they couldn't help but exclaimed in shock 'WHAT?????!!!" That now their unhappy looks towards Mo Lingtan turned into burning fury to the point that Mo Lingtan started feeling hot as he could burn into ash at any point of time.

Aiden's POV

The dark grey of clouds was evident upon the sky as it pours out its tears. People rush to find shelter as some held their own umbrella and made their way to where they are going to. Luckily three suited men held our umbrella for us before it rains or we could get ourselves wet for not bringing an umbrella for us.


We walk towards the building as our shoes click with the wet ground while heavy drops hit our umbrella. Soon we arrive as the three suited men put the umbrellas on the hang as they assist us the way. 3D holograms scattered neatly through the white tiled floor as it flashes Laws and past leaders and chiefs. Some flashes on the walls of their achievements for this past century. As we walked I noticed that people stop what they were doing as they now at us in respect, while my master and uncle Red nodded at them in recognition as they wear their cold yet emotionless face, saying that they are here for business, so I do the same, matching their masks.

As I look around a little, riddle paintings hang on the wall as we walk through the hallway, so far I haven't seen any robots while we were walking, which I rejoice internally.

"We're here," a black-suited man said as we stop in front of a steel door with a glass fingerprint lock. He put his hand on the scanner as he opens the door for us. We walk inside the spacious room. A circular black table was located at the centre, as the centre of the table has a hole for the 3D hologram where they could implement everything later. There are two extra tables were placed at each side of the table, Men and women sit on their designated chairs as they leave 3 empty chairs for us.

Tense atmosphere scattered throughout the area as we sit to our specified chairs. I scanned everyone, some of them chat with the people who seated next to them as most of them read the file in front of them. All men wore their expensive suits while the FBI chiefes wore their usual uniform, with their stars placed on the shoulder as their cap says their rank. While the CIA members, like always, wore their suits and busy themselves with data in their hand. Reading it silently as we wait for the arrival of the Director. 


I look at my side to see Master. Luke scanning intently the data I made in my laptop as Uncle Red does the same, scanning and comprehending the file he's holding. Both of them have their brows knitted together as they scanned the data.

"Have you read what in the file?" My Master whispers as his eyes still glued at the holographic screen. His lips pursed as he focuses on comprehending everything but it looks like he couldn't think of why we were being included here. I look back to uncle Red and he seems like he has an idea why we were called as he sips his black coffee in his mug as he puts it on the glass. His legs crossed as he took the file again to take a look.

"No, I haven't yet Master." I whisper back as took the paper in front of me."Read it" He said, I nodded as I run my hand on my blonde hair as I start to focus on reading the files. Legs cross- a trait that I got to my uncle Red. I scan the paper as with my reading speed as I also comprehend it with the help of my computer. Though I do notice some suspicious things and messages. But I am not sure if my findings would be enough to contribute to the meeting.

Even though my Master says that only we could do is to listen, I don't we could do that since we got something huge going on right now. The one who notice such little and unnoticeable hints is probably a genius human- since they don't really like robots working with them and preferred to do it manually.



"I have been thinking..." A deep voice said, though it is in a mocking tone, quiet loudly to get everyone's attention, which he successfully did yet I keep busy myself with reading/scanning the file in my hand. 

"Why is everybody here? I mean, don't you think it's suspicious when the director himself calls us for a meeting so urgently without even telling us anything about it?" A man, from the CIA, says with a smirk while touching the lapel of his suit. His face rounded as his nose was high and sharp... sharper than the pencil in front of me. We all look at him like he was out of his mind or like he suddenly became dumb. 

"What are you trying to say?" A woman with a high clean ponytail asks with one of her eyebrows raise. She's pretty. Her eyes small as her tan skin matches her red lips. Her wrist shows off her expensive watch as her nails long and painted red. She puts the file in front of her as she crosses her arm while she leans back as if asking the man what did he mean, in an intimidating way.

The man scoffs at her as he wore this smug look that would make you irritate once you have seen it. "How would you know? When all you do is to beautify yourself and pretending to read that file when you are only going to hook up later on with who knows." He said. His smirk didn't leave his face as he insults the lady. The woman's lips twitch as she smiles. "Well this woman you just insulted is higher than you in position. And I don't know where you got that kind of thinking when you should be focusing on reading that file in front of you. Or maybe you want someone to read it for you?" She said. She straightens herself as she took the paper in front of her. " And by the way, in case you don't know, the meeting is about investigating the crime 20 years ago until now. I think someone notices something suspicious and the director agreed to have an urgent meeting. Well, I guess I am really here to work not to bicker with someone who has only one brain cell."

"ohhhhhh" both The General Crime Investigator and the chief of the criminal investigation says, who are seated next to each other, as they insulted the man earlier like some 10-year-old kids trying to bully the younger ones. Everyone looks at them amusingly as some shook their heads. We were kind of crowded here. About a hundred people were sitting at us with the same table.

Soon the doors open as the two suited men enter the room as they take their seats.

"Where am I" 

"Mom? Dad?" 

A man asked to himself as he lay on the dirty rocky ground as his abdomen was stabbed by post. Eyes shut tightly while his head hurts like someone banged his head multiple times on the wall.

He tries to open his eyes and look around his surroundings, but his sight was foggy and blurred. He sobbed from the pain he got from his abdomen. While looking around, his sight cleared as he saw his Father covering another person's body with his own. 

"Mom"

The fire around the house got bigger as he stays there outside his parent's house, witnessing his own parents die before his eyes.

"No!!!" He shouted as uncontrollable sobs break through his chest. Hurting his abdomen immensely, but he didn't care. He tries to sit up but the post keeps him in place. His screams for help and cries in agony. His hot tears continue to stream down his face.


"Mom...Dad" He said as sobs for the last time as his consciousness left him completely. The place is cold and dark. His soul was forcefully taken out of his body and thrown to another world...more like dimension.


'it's not your time yet' a voice said through around the cold, black space. 


Now... Aiden Smith's consciousness was back. With his memory be blank as a newborn baby.


After that, He lives with his new family as a cyborg. Striving for survival while looking for the person who he really was. Asking and finding pieces of his past self.


"Who am I?"



 Lily is a 28-year-old girl who works as a librarian in their local library. She isn’t like the girls in their town, other girls would go out on parties and going to malls every weekend the stereotypical-teenage-habits. But Lily is different from all of them, she always kept to herself and spending most of her time reading books, and taking a stroll in parks and enjoying what nature has to offer. One day while working, she was reading the latest news in the papers “Escaped convicted murderer as found dead” was the first thing she read. Interested, she scanned the news further, apparently Joseph Andrews was charged with 7 counts of child murder. Moving from town to town and was caught in the neighboring town. He escaped however when he was being transferred to a maximum-security prison. He knocked out one of the guards holding and headbutted the other one before he sprinted out in to the woods. He body was later found mangled and was ripped to the point where he wasn’t recognizable anymore. His remains were found near the abandoned mansion in the middle of the woods. The only thing the police knew that it was him is the torn clothes he wore that day. They didn’t figure out what happened or who did this to him. They took the body to the forensics team for further examinations. Lily was shocked upon reading this; she knew where that mansion was and she sometimes go to that place to read especially when she is reading horror stories. She always immersed herself when she is reading and that place was her go to place where she reads her assortment of books. That house was said to be haunted and some people saw a dark figure walking around and several people were reported to be missing or just disappeared near the woods of that abandoned mansion. But this was just an urban legend so she didn’t give it much thought 

 It was a few weeks later since the day of the tragedy and everyone somehow forgot the gruesome ordeal. Lily was no different, she continued her day as usual going to work on weekdays and chilling on weekends. On Monday however she was working overtime because the night shift was not feeling well and since Lily needed the extra cash, she volunteered to cover the night shift for 3 weeks and she would work until 10 pm. The night was boring compared to the morning shift because there were less people around usually students studying overnight. When 10 pm came she spoke through the microphone and told the few people in the library to exit the premises, this routine went well until the 3rd week of her night shift. She was walking to her apartment when she noticed some eyes on her across the street, two guys were looking at her. She didn’t mind it at first but when she passed by them that’s we the two men started to walk, this unnerved her slightly so she walked a little faster. The two noticed this and they matched her pace while switching lanes. When she saw this she immediately ran as fast as she can, the two men followed after her. She outran two so she ran through the woods, she thought that she could lose them in the trees and they would just give up but they still followed her. She knew the woods well because of the years being in there and so she went to the abandoned mansion. She ran the route still the two men hot on her heels and without a second thought she ran inside, she thought that they wouldn’t go inside because of reputation of being haunted. She closed the door behind her and ran up the stairs, when she was at the top, she waited a bit to see if the two were still chasing after her and surprisingly enough the two busted through the door. She continued to run hoping to find an opened door to hide in. While she was running, she can notice something in her peripheral vision something moving but when she looked, she saw nothing there. She continued to find a hiding spot and finally found an opened door at the end of the hall. She went in and closed that door it was a small room but filled with boxes and crates, she blocked it with anything she could grab. After that she hid in the corner and waited intently for any signs of the two men. She heard them opening doors and yelling things like “Where are you missy?” and “We just want to talk to you that’s all”. After a few minutes finally arrived at the room she was hiding, they tried twisting the knob but it would budge they then tried to ram the door with their shoulders. Lily was scared out of her mind while listening to the two men forcing their way through still yelling. “We know you are there missy, come out before we get angry” one of the men said. “And you don’t want to make us angry” yelled the other. Lily sat and cried hoping that they would just give up and leave her alone. Sadly, with a final kick the door eventually gave in. The boxes and crates flew to the walls, the two men walked in slow and menacingly “Hello missy, you shouldn’t have blocked that door now were angry” one of them said. “Now you we are going to have some fun” the other one snarled. She screamed and cried for help, but the men covered her mouth and grabbing her so she could move. They were almost ripping her cloths of when suddenly she saw a black tentacle wrapped around one of the man’s torso. Before they could process what was happening, he was thrown to the wall with a loud thud. The other man turned his head and was met with a terrible sight, there was a dark figure standing in the door frame. It was like it was wearing a hooded cloak darker than the night, it was covering its entire body and coming out under it were long eel-like tentacles that were flailing around in different directions. Before the man could react, the creature grabbed him by his torso along with his arms and raised him up hitting his head and pinning him on the ceiling. It walked towards Lily slowly, it walked like it was gliding on the floor. She was frozen from sight of the creature now inches from her. She could move nor speak, she just watched as the thing neared its hooded visage. Their eyes met and she was able to see its facial feature if there were any. It only two glowing white orbs for eyes, it opened its gapping mouth to reveal teeth that looked like smaller version of sharks serrated teeth. It looked at lily like it was observing her very soul, learning who she was. She felt disturbed but safe at the same time like he sensed a benevolent aura in the creature that made her think it was saving her.

This is a beauty and the beast style story with a morbid twist with a dash of heroism and adventure
