Welcome back, young daoists. Today we'll be talking about something every author wants.. reviews!

Everyone wants to be praised for their masterpiece of an Internet novel, that's just always how it'll be. To prove my point, I also want a review! Sadly, there has only been one person to review the ancient scripture that is "The Dao of Filler"

To give you a better idea, everyone wants a good review. Nobody wants a review from an angry reader who has only read 30 chapters out of the 200 you published..

There's also the terrible truth that people will give you 5 stars for no reason and 1 star for no reason. The universe works in strange ways...

I'll go over the 3 types of reviews.

Good Review - This is a review that was well thought out and gives criticism on your novel. It's not completely trashing it, but it's definitely not saying it's the next Percy Jackson. [1]

Neutral Review - This review doesn't really give any criticism but more or less talks about their opinion of the story. It's normal to get a lot of these.

Bad Review - This review is not good. It doesn't talk about much of the story, only why they hate it. If your novel blows up, you'll find yourself seeing a lot of these..

As an auth- a young daoist, you must learn to ignore bad reviews and work on improving yourself. Sometimes being shameless will get you nowhere if you don't listen to your faithful readers!

Now, time for examples!

Good Review:

Moddy: Hey I really liked your novel — The Dao of Filler — it gives a brand new perception of the way authors think. However, I would suggest you make the chapters longer! 500 words per chapter? Shameless...

That was a good review! If you don't know who Moddy is, he's a moderator of the Inkstone Discord and one of my friends..

Bad Review:

Moddy: This novel is so trash!!! It doesn't even give any real advice and the way the author thinks is really bad! 0/10 would not read again.

You just read a good review and a bad review. Good reviews are good because they give advice and keep a relatively positive attitude. Bad reviews are bad because they tell you that your novel is horrible but never go into any real detail why.

I hope you learned something from today's chapter! It was pretty easy to write and it's been on my mind for a little while now.

Young daoist, you must face all in your way to becoming a shameless author and filler expert. Luckily, I am giving advice for freeeeeee! Vote now with your power stones..

I wonder if previous reviews affect new ones? That is, in order not to waste time, the reviewer looks at the previous review and writes in his own words what he already wrote another? And it turns out that all the reviews as copies or replicants of the original?

If you write a swap review, then you must adhere to the bad manners and write a good review in spite of its real quality or rejection of the content itself, depending on cultural traditions?

Or, nevertheless, write what you think and give a low rating. Then the response will be the same, mirror or generally asymmetric response?

Authors should immediately put a topic in the tags in order to read, then not to spit and with horror to discard some not typical, not traditional stories. What is good about democracy, that everyone can have their own view, but no one imposes it. Do you want to read, but do not want do not read. And this is not a phobia is the right to choose. When there is no choice, then tin comes. But this is offtopic.

If you are honest, objective, you need to wait for your reader to come and appreciate your story. But he will not come ... without the promotion of a short story, the reader will not know about it.

There are many interesting short stories that are not even in the ranking, which occupy 2000 and 1000 places, but they are more intriguing than those that occupy 20-90 places in the ranking.

This suggests that the authors are not skilled enough in promoting their stories.

SWAP is one of the methods of promotion, like voting with stones for your own work, it's not entirely sporty, but honestly!

There is a second option, I personally don't like it and I won't do it, because it's not honest in the first place, and secondly it's not interesting. Nevertheless, this method works, although it is formally prohibited by the rules for using this site. That is, by creating fictitious accounts - 4-5 and voting for their work on behalf of third users. Another way is to write 10 identical reviews to yourself with a rating and now, your work scored 10 minimum reviews, the requirements for entering the rating.

For you to be read, to have good statistics, you need to write, write a lot, at least 500-1000 words a day, 4-5 chapters per week need to be filled.

And to promote, write SWAP, chat on the forum. It's rare when a reviewer comes back ... a formal reply, within the framework of the existing rules - I tell you, you tell me. But if really, the work is hooked, interesting, then the reader-reviewer will come constantly.

If the work is so-so, then counting on constant interest is difficult.

But there will always be several enthusiasts, regular readers, and the authors should be grateful to them for their time and interest.

From what I've been seeing, there are multiple books on this site with manipulated reviews. Bad reviews have been deleted and thus the books themselves appear better. Although I can understand that a review made based on ~10 chapters of a book with over 1,000 chapters may not be accurate, it is still an opinion. 

People keep on saying that authors are deleting reviews, but as far as I can tell, I do not have that ability (it might also just be because I'm not partnered). Maybe those reviews are being reported as inaccurate by fans (yeah probably not). 

The only thing that deleting reviews does is angering the reviewers. On a site like Webnovel, where everyone can review a book an almost infinite number of times, it's just a matter of time before such a book is flooded with bad reviews. 

Advice for Webnovel, don't reward reviews with xp and limit the amount of reviews per book. A review is something that should be taken seriously and I find it highly unlikely that anyone would be willing to read a new book every single day (at least for an extended period of time).

Feel free to leave any kind of comment you want from questions to facts/spam.

I have been reading your comments and reviews and have tried to reply to every comment and review.
some give 3star, 2star some are giving 4and5star also.
Some common reviews were about
My writing quality and I know it is not upto standards and many readers are finding it hard to read due to grammar. For grammar I have no excuse and for spelling as I use smartphone to write and that some spelling mistakes are made, during the process of writing or due to auto correction and I have tried to edit them but some just don't get edited in official version.
Like breast which should be beasts.
Ruin be rune etc.
Second:
update are irregular as I only write when I feel like writing else busy due to my study or read other novel.
Usually I read Machine translation of novel and many are raw version of novels in Webnovel. As I became curious to know about the latest developments and I can say I have got used to reading them and enjoy it.
After all I write for enjoyment and myself, so writing novel is more like hobby.
I am not paid for it, till now that is.
If I was getting paid I would have hired a editor by now.
That is why I am looking for free editor who can help me edit.
But every time is the same story, some guys reply. I want to help you and I say come lets have a chat in Discord. After that I never get a reply.
As for some uncommon reviews and questions like.
#Why have you dumped so much information in starting chapters which I as a reader, find irrelevant?
The answer is, that is common sense of how other magic uses cultivat but because Kai is not following the common method and basically skip magic apprentice stage and
I use it to explain the difference between others and Kai way of cultivation.
Note:I have already explained the logic behind law and Kai limitations in earlier chapter.
I will just add that chapter to volume 0.
#Question 2:
Why is the world name is Great magic world?
I have no answer to this. May be a random thought.
#Question 3:
Why is the rank of body potential and mage root have saint above divine.
Because I want it to be. No logic.
If you ever write a novel feel free to change it according to your wish.
Question 4:
#Why is it common for space rift occurance in the continent?
Well it due to incomplete and unstable laws of magic, cause due to world barrier.
Remember why I say, all magic users are not able to display full power and why true saint level magic user don't exist till now so evenJai and other are not match for true saint magic users as they have understanding of incomplete magic laws and cannot make any progress in their cultivation.
#Why is Kai able to make such decisions in starting chapters and is his memory so strong?
Answer to that is Kai father knowledge and wisdom which he shared with Kai.
As a hunter who lives in a dangerous world close to forbidden forest. He has some general knowledge of behaviour magic beasts and share it with Kai and he use this knowledge, wisdom, incomplete mage root to trace magic power left behind by to survive
the first day.
Later event you have read.
You will not expect such thinking abilities from a 6year child but magic root is closely related with development of brain and mental strength.
Higher rank mage root give better intelligence, memory power and greater brain development.
It was also one of the reason why Kai got possesed by Daoma in starting not to mention be is a magic emperor.
Kai's mage root went to deep slumber and so he didn't cultivated strong mental strength.
Possessing mental strength of a non magic user.
Don't ask questions in paragraph comments. Use chapter comments.
Ask questions if you have doubts ask.

So, you guys don't read the author's notes, so I will say what I want to say at each beginning of the chapter. I hope that you won't skip it.

Hiya, I go by the name of iMiH around here, and I bet if you're reading this, it means that you have most likely read my fanfic CoA. 

I know that readers that enjoys reading novels included me, do hate hiatus or even more so when novels just stop being updated. Which is exactly what I did till now. 

I know that I could sit here and rant about anything and everything with it having little to none effect of what I want to accomplish.

Which is why, I will just tell you my side of the story. I was born with a disease which has been harming my body ever since which has hindered me in doing lots of things. Over time, my health was getting worse. By the time I was 19, I started trying to study at univeristy but had to quit not too long after due to my health.

During all my youth, I was either in the hospital, or stuck at home not being allowed to go outside all too often. And after having to quit studying alongside my health getting worse, I didn't know what to do. It didn't take too long before I came to a conclusion; that I didn't enjoy my life... Time passed by with such thoughts, and I ended up with half a dozen suicide attempts during a short amount of time. 

Well, after that, I was pretty much stuck with my own thoughts as I was getting help from doctors and psychiatrists. Let's forward some time, and I'm now here. I don't have any kind of dark thoughts lingering in my mind. I have already applied to study through the internet for next semester, and I also thought of returning to one of the few things that I enjoyed doing - writing. 

If you're still here, I would like to say that I am quite happy to have all of you here to read my fanfiction. I have seen a good amount of comments and reviews which has made me smile, laugh, sad and even angry at some points, but all of these things are emotions that I show due to this novel which I wrote. And I do sincerely hope that all of you will continue reading my novel. Oh and I don't really mind mean comments and reviews, they're actually really fun to read after the stage of me getting angry of it, hahaha. 

Izan is someone who’s under a lot of pain. Every day he wakes up with pain and late at night, he endures the pain and falls asleep. Izan is someone who wishes for to die as he can’t seem to keep up with the pain he is under. 

Suicide was an alternative which Izan wouldn’t commit as he knew that it would have pained his family more than he could have imagined. Day after day, Izan tried his best to endure for his family. 

Izan did also have a wish, a wish that strong which allowed Izan to continue forward until his breaking point. One day, Izan was allowed to seek for his wish in the vast universe.
