“Wow!” Just as she turned her head, she heard Ye Xiu cry out in amazement. Chen Guo immediately turned back: “What? What?” 

“Different classes.” Ye Xiu said. 

“How many times do you need to act amazed?” Chen Guo rolled her eyes. The guide had switched classes before. They had already been amazed once. 

“But this time, he doesn’t even include a Summoner. Isn’t he a Summoner?” Ye Xiu said. 

“Yeah.” Tang Rou nodded her head. They had verified it earlier: Concealed Light, Level 32 Summoner. 

“Does he have multiple accounts?” Chen Guo guessed.

“Those always drop. Check the system log.” Chen Guo said. 

“Uh?” Tang Rou unexpectedly didn’t know what that was. 

“Here!” Chen Guo took the mouse and clicked it for Tang Rou. The system log recorded her death. She wasn’t killed by a monster, but rather by a player called Breaking Zero. 

“Breaking Zero…….” Chen Guo muttered. She opened up the search function and put in the name. 

The character was online. A Level 33, male Spellblade. 

“Level 33! He’s definitely leveling in Line Canyon. Go and take revenge!” Chen Guo gave the mouse and keyboard back to Tang Rou and commanded her like a general.

In the smoking area, Ye Xiu continued to read Concealed Light’s Idiot’s Guides. With the current pace of the new server, there were a total of four dungeons; each one had three hidden BOSSes for a total of twelve. Every one of Concealed Light’s hidden BOSS guides were extremely detailed step-by-step guides that were over 20,000 words long. Even though Ye Xiu read very fast, he still had to read each word one by one. When Chen Guo called for him to eat, he had only finished six of them. 

“You’re still reading! I’ll eat first.” Chen Guo was already used to Ye Xiu’s obsession over the game.

“Have you found any mistakes?’ Chen Guo asked.

“The killer was someone called Breaking Zero, a Level 33 Spellblade. If you see him, take note.” However, Chen Guo remembered better than Tang Rou and told him who the murderer was. 

“Got it.” Ye Xiu laughed, “If I see him, I’ll definitely kill him.” 

“Good.” Tang Rou nodded her head and then asked, “Did you figure out anything from these guides?” 

“This person might not have multiple accounts. With how long the new server has been online, I don’t think there’s enough time to understand the details of every single hidden BOSS to such a degree. Right now, I’m doubting whether this author has even killed these hidden BOSSes. He used previous guides and videos as sources to create such an idiot’s guide.” Ye Xiu said. 

“No way.” Chen Guo was astonished. 

“If what you’re saying is true, then this person is an extremely amazing new player!” Ye Xiu said. 

“He used his imagination to write these guides, yet there aren’t any mistakes?” Chen Guo said.

Looking at the time, it was already almost 11 o’clock. It was almost time to change shifts, so Ye Xiu turned off his computer and went to the front desk. During the weekends, there were quite a lot of all-night customers, so the front desk was extremely busy. After Ye Xiu finished, it was 11:30. 

Tang Rou went to her usual spot and the two logged into the game. Ye Xiu went online and searched up Concealed Light’s name, but the character wasn’t online. Once the super-futuristic sci-fi loading screen appeared, a notification sound started to pop out from the "friends" panel on the lower right screen.
DuskStar: "You there?"
DuskStar: "Let's play!"
DuskStar: "Anyone home?"

Skyfall Leaf: "7Foot, you there?"
RoyalHatred: "Bloody hell, I lost again. 7Foot, if you don't come online, our clan's gonna get wrecked!"
DuskStar: "Those Bronzeforge guys are just too much. 7Foot, let me know when you come online. We're just short of you!"
DuskStar: "Why aren't you on yet?"
Lin Sheng looked at the timestamp. It was two days ago.
Since his skills were decent, he was one of the core players in his clan.
Sadly, ever since the nightmare came to him, he had to focus on the dream realm, and he had not played for a long time.
Even if he visited an Internet café, it was mostly to check on information related to the dream or swordsmanship.

A sudden notification prompt rang.
DuskStar: "You're finally on. Let's wreck some scrubs!"

And after about an hour, Lin Sheng was bored. He then set up the "Away" sign.
DuskStar: "What's wrong? Aren't you on holiday today?"
7FootGiant: "I have something to do, stopping now."
DuskStar: "What's so important? Let's play!"
7FootGiant: "I really have something to do, and I'm pretty busy at home too, so I don't have much time to play."
DuskStar: "Even Crown isn't as busy as you. Aren't you a student? What are you busy with?"
7FootGiant: "I have something to settle."
DuskStar: "Oh yeah, Crown said he's passing by Huaisha soon, how about we arrange a meetup for the players here. I'll book the whole place!"
Lin Sheng smiled at the screen.
He had mentioned in the group that he was a poor student without a lot of pocket money, hence why he was not online much. Meanwhile, DuskStar seemed to be at least well to do with no need to care for internet charges.
Now that he talked about booking the whole place, it was clear that he was not short of money.
Lin Sheng smiled as he responded.
"Anything. Let's see what everyone says."
DuskStar started to grumble again, and the two played another round before Lin Sheng went offline.
After he quit the game, he clicked on the search engine and entered Huaisha City's local forum to check if there were any new posts.
Very quickly, a post that went up two hours ago appeared in his line of sight.
"A robbery-cum-murder case in Blackwater District, south of the city... It's live!"
Lin Sheng squinted and quickly clicked on it.
The post was made by someone called Windtalker, and the original post had a picture of the crime scene.
It looked like a room on an incomplete construction site.
And the floor was covered in blood while the wall was scrawled with "Do you love me?"
Lin Sheng narrowed his eyes, and he quickly looked at the posts that followed.
"It's that godforsaken place again. A few cases have already spawned from that sh*thole, yet there are still people who refuse to listen, and daringly go over to play! Fools!"
"It was a guy the last time. He was killed after he was robbed as well. It's just so gruesome."
"Not only that, a pair of lovers had also disappeared over there. A room full of blood was all that was left."
"Have the police gone over already?"
"Many times, but it's useless. The killer left nothing behind."
Lin Sheng quietly read through the postings and demurred.
Huaisha was not a big city, but it was also not small. He had actually heard of many such unsolved cases already.
The police had been trying to investigate, but they always came to a dead end. At most, they would pick a random fool and pin the crime on him to close the case.
However, anyone with half a brain could tell that they were just obfuscating the public.

He then went on to check other posts and found that there was another sealed room murder case that was unresolved.
After he closed the forum site, he proceeded to look at the current news: Xilin and Redwin were still at each other's throats.
They continued to trade verbal barbs as they deployed their troops at the border. It seemed like war could break out at any time.
In reality, however, this situation had already lasted over a year. At first, everyone was rather anxious, but as time passed, they got used to it.

Mia and I tilted our heads in confusion. The expression Eric had earlier wasn't something we would see everyday. It was an expression of mixed emotions like anger and sadness within him. Well, at least that's how I interpreted his look when he walked away.
A cool breeze brushed my cheeks and caused my hair to sway about. I tucked my baby hairs behind my ears so my head wouldn't look too messy.
"Ah! Could it be..." Mia placed her fingers under her chin and threw a questioning gaze. "Did he eat some jelly?"
I stared at her with a perplexed expression whilst she smirked. She looked like she had figured something out when she gave me a smug look.
"Let's go confirm my theory!" Mia snapped her fingers and grabbed my wrist, dragging me to our classroom by running in full speed.
She dragged me through an avenue of bushes, also known as a "shortcut" in the school where we can reach our academic block faster. I had to match her speed, leaving me no chance at appreciating the beautiful colors of autumn leaves.
When we entered the classroom, Eric was already seated in his own seat. Mia approached him without hesitation and what she said afterwards made completely no sense of the current situation.
She asked if he had eaten any sorts of jelly this morning but he just sat still without responding. She shrugged and told me we should just leave him alone.
"He'll get over it in a few days," she told me before we took our seats.
The teacher entered when the bell rang, indicating break time was over. He handed out the examination papers and we completed the questions within the given time. There was still some time before class ended after everyone was done so Mr. Wilson gave us some lessons before the bell rang.
During the entire time in class, Eric did not even bother to turn his head like he always did when Carl talked to me. The atmosphere was tense, as if something serious was going to happen.
"What happened to him?" Even Carl questioned it.
I shrugged in response. The answer remained unknown until school ended. I would admit my time in school today was so peaceful I couldn't believe it was reality. However, I felt a void within myself when I got home.
I opened the windows to gaze at the scenery outside. Everything was red, just like how the scenery of every autumn season would be.
The garden was visible from my room window and I could see the bloomed sunflowers from afar. The gardeners really took good care of it.
I should place them in a vase in my study room. They would brighten up my mood and I may be able to concentrate on my studies better.
The corner of my lips tweaked up as I thought of happiness. However, it started to fade when there was nothing more to think about.
Something inside me was missing. It felt empty. There was a blank space that needed to be filled and it became worse whenever I recalled the incident during break time.
Mia and I managed to stop Eric from causing a scene when he raised his hand. I had thought Eric was docile because he knew his opponent was a senior. Thus, picking a fight with the senior wouldn't work as Eric could never be a match for him.
If that was the case, what about his expression when he walked away? He didn't even glance at me when we passed each other.
Thinking about it made me concerned. Just what is wrong with him?
"Did he eat some jelly," was what Mia thought but does that even make sense? Why would someone act like that after eating jellies? I would stop having any if that was the case.
What if, maybe, his body consumed too much sugar so to control his hyper, he decided to not interact?
Alright, let's stick to that conclusion for now until the answer is found.
I glanced at the wall clock and thought I should do some studying on tomorrow's exams. It'll be English and Science. Well, I'm quite confident in English but I'm not sure about Science.
I closed the windows and went to my study room. It didn't take long until I understood everything that'll be out on the paper tomorrow. After some revisions, I kept my books and returned to my bedroom.
I lay on my bed after taking a warm and relaxing bath. It has been a while since I took one so it was really soothing. My phone was ringing intensely because of the incoming messages from my class group chat so I had no choice but to read them. Not every single thing, of course.
After some time, I clicked on Eric's contact to check his latest status. Fortunately, he was online so I decided to text him. I had thought I was lucky enough to be online at the same time with him but I was wrong.
The moment my message was sent out, he went offline immediately. I decided to stay and wait until he was online again to read my text.
"He's probably busy with some stuff," I convinced myself positively.
While I was waiting, I turned on my laptop and started working on the invitation card. I was indulged in choosing the right font. There were so many to choose from. What's more, they're satisfying to look at.
Time passed and before I knew it, a maid had already come to call me for dinner.
"Miss, dinner is ready."
"Coming!
I sent the file to Andrea via email before shutting down my laptop. I checked Eric's status again and he was online but hasn't read my text yet. Does he have too many messages at the same time until mine was pushed down?
With that thought in mind, I sent another text to him. However, he went offline again the moment I sent it out. He didn't even bother to read my previous messages.
It can't be a coincidence that he's busy whenever i text him, right? I spared a second to read his last time and this is how he's repaying me? How rude.
I decided to leave him alone for now and headed to the dining room. He should be able to reply after dinner, I guess. If not, I'll have to talk to him tomorrow.
"What's wrong, Amanda?" Andrea asked in a concerned tone. I didn't realize I spaced out until she called me.
"It's nothing," I replied and took a bite of the food on my plate. There were so many things running in my mind that I couldn't taste the food anymore.
Fortunately, Andrea was smart enough to notice I didn't want to talk and did not query any further. We both ate our dinners and returned to our respective rooms afterwards.
I checked Eric's status again but he wasn't online. He hasn't read my texts either. He couldn't be ignoring me, could he? What have I done to be ignored by a person like him for the whole day?
I recalled all the events in school today while I was showering. Nothing really happened except for where the senior suddenly approached me. He changed into a completely different person after that.
Wait… "he changed into a complete person after that"?
I tried to connect the dots and everything started to make sense. Walking away without a single word, not giving a greeting when we met, no tease attempt when he had the chance to do so and not talking back when I said something.
But, what made him like that?
That night, I couldn't sleep. I've sent out the invitation cards to everyone on the list Andrea sent to me but Eric. I did tell him I was going to send it out by today but since he didn't even read my texts, he probably wouldn't read this either.
I checked the clock displayed on my phone screen and realized it was already midnight. Not sleeping now means waking up late tomorrow.
I tried to clear my thoughts and shut my eyelids slowly. As the blanket warmed my body from the coolness of the air conditioner, my brain started to switch off and before I knew it, I was already living in my dreams.
The next morning was another usual morning. I got woken up by my alarm and had to force my eyelids open. Like any other days, I started off with my morning routine. Brushing my teeth, washing my face and taking a quick warm shower.
A notification came on my phone when I got out of the shower. Since it was still early in the morning, I figured it wouldn't be anything important and if it was Andrea, she would come to my room and tell me instead.
I wore my school attire and dried my hair before tying it up. After putting on my contact lenses, I checked my phone to see what was the notification earlier.
Unfortunately, it seemed like I was too late. I could see that the sender was Eric but he deleted the message. I wonder if it was a mistake or he did that on purpose. If it's the latter, I would definitely do something to him when we meet in school later.

"F*ck!!!!" Huo Youyou punched the wall the meeting room with all his might. He was so depressed, angered and hated himself because what he deemed to be right was proven wrong in the end. 

"Calm Youyou. It's just not you, i also feel the same." Captain Ling was a lot calmer than him although his hands were balled into fists. He closed his eyes as he took a deep breath to ease his mood and leaned against the chair.

Both of them were in complicated mood because they failed to prevent the murder. 

When they discussed about when and where the murder would occur and who would be the next victim, they had prudently and cautiously planned their steps.

Several days ago, Captain Ling Office Room

"Youyou, why do you think the murderer will act this week?" Captain Ling asked to test him. He wanted to know the reasons behind Youyou's assumption.

Youyou hold several photos as he looked at Captain Ling and replied" Captain have you seen an online post that cause an uproar several days ago about this case?"

"Yes." Captain Ling nodded. His mind flew back to the online post of an anonymous he read several days ago.

'When all the revenge is paid, You'll be free. Be at ease and leave your worldly concern because the justice will prevail in the end. I hope that you can rest in peace.

Np: the truth will never be uncovered when the people that supposed to find it are so incapable. 
Btw, my beloved cat were died because of some thorny trees. I've only cut two but i'll soon cut them all."

For most people, this post was only about the grief of the user over his friends death because of an injustice. While for the note, they might not know what it actually is because the meaning behind it was too vague. It was really strange to write such a note after a sentence about his grievance. But, the people in the net would just ignired this post. They would just sympathize for the user but they would not think too much about the post.

But it was different with some sharp people like Captain Ling and Huo Youyou.

Once they read the first sentence, it reminded them about the case they handled. When they read injustice, rest in peace, they subconsciously linked them to the life of Zhao Shuangshuang.

At first, they were not sure about their speculation because there was a high possibility that it was not related at all. They might think too much about the case that it probably influence them to the point they would connect the post with the case.

But, their doubt was getting clearer the more they read the post. The incapable people mentioned was highly possible referred to police. And they were more sure when they read 'two trees' and 'cut down' that represented the two victims. In addition, thorny trees might symbolize the people who directly and indirectly pushed Zhao Shuangshuang to death.

Moreover, the 'beloved cat'  highly possibly represented Zhao Shuangshuang because from the Investigation, Zhao Shuangshuang was a cat lover. 

The online post and the case they were investigating was clearly match.

"The online post seems insignificant but it's  actually possible to hold a deeper meaning."

"Yes. I know that." Captain Ling nodded. "Then, what is the purpose of this post?"

"I have some ideas about this. I'm sure that this anonymous user is someone related to Zhao Shuangshuang and know her life story. It is possible that this user is a friend of her and it was also possible that..." Huo Youyou paused before he continued, "the user is the murderers.

"About why i speculate the murder will take place this week because from the post that i assumed was created by the murderers, i found something different from the usual that it make me confused for a while.

"Why did the murderer suddenly share such an online post? i think it is highly possible because the murderers couldn't wait any longer. Moreover, the word 'incapable' that refer to police shows his attitude to us. He look down on us and think highly of himself while it is actually reasonable because his skills are actually more than good to the point it can render us, the police helpless. The word 'soon' strengthen my speculation that the murder will happen this week."

"You are right. That is also what i think." Captain Ling said as he took a picture on the table and showed it to Huo Houyou. "The victim will be one of these three people." In that picture, there were Zhao Shuangshuang, her boyfriend Shen Yu and three other males in school uniform. The three students were the people who derailed her. "Let everyone know about this. We'll move soon."

"Yes Captain." Huo Youyou stood and walked out of the office room to inform his other colleagues.

"Responsible for teasing me!" answered the husband in matter-of-factly tone.

Elena nodded, "En. Let's go." The man didn't expect her to agree easily. He grinned widely as he followed Elena to their bedroom. Only if he knew he was about to be completely toppled by her prowess, he would definitely prepare himself in advance.

We just finished discussing our plan about the game. Time check... It is 7pm, perfect time to dive in. We now go to our respected area (bed room) and find a place comfortable.

I am now in my room sitting on my bed. While holding the headgear I am still thinking about the game, which makes me hard to believe that it finally come to me, my long waited dream. I rotate the headgear that I'm still holding, in the buttom left side of the gear there was a name incarved. "CIGNIUS" as I read in a soft voice, it was all in capital letters. "Is it the name of the device?" thought to myself. "Here I come..... CIGNIUS..... Surprise me" saying to CIGNIUS while having a grin smile.

I put the adapter to the power outlet and press the switch to start. I wear the headgear and lay in bed as it was in the manual. I wait for a bit more wating for the signal. Dad want us to be all together in the game. Not for long dad gave the signal, he shouted "IN!" in a loud vulgar voice. "That's the signal....." I mumble to myself. To dive in the game, according to the manual you just have to say something. "Okay now..... CIGNIUS, GAME START!" after I said the word. I started to lose consciousness afterwards I began seeing a light coming at me.

I was surprise when I saw my self. I was a ball af light floating in an empty white space. I understand as I don't have a character yet.

Then a sudden voice filled the room echoing. It was a voice of a lady.

"Welcome to a World where you can be as you want to be... Please select in this five wonderful vast world." a beautiful voice suddenly start talking.

There were a large screen appeared in front of me. It was very colorful, I really like the idea. The first choice was the "LAO", we have already decided what game we are playin so I just scrolled to the right until I find the perfect one, this game was my favorite among the five. I was shock, I didn't know that this AI can understand me as if like she is a real human. They really have done great improving stuffs in just in a shor time, I think this AI is a prime.

(Note: Prime is called to those things that are supposed to be in the future Or simply means, to those things that are in advance like AI's that have free will like humans.)

"I did but---" I am goin to give her an explanation but she suddenly interrupted.

"Tsk tsk tsk... Teenager nowadays, they just do and use things as they like not even knowing atleast simple instructions and informations about it." she says in dissapointment. "Say the name of the game you want and just add "game start"." she continue in an apathetic manner.

I was embarrased of what she was saying to me, it felt like I don't really have any idea on what's goin on.

"Arts of Fantsy Online.....game start?" I totally say it in an asking tone. I just follow her instructions, I don't know any of this and it's also not in the manual .... or did I just forget it?.

Then after I said the word a light flashed.

After I finish filling up the data. Without warn, the "womans voice" appeared again.
"When you are done with your Personal Character Data.... Just say the world that you pick and then add "link start".... That's all for today, HAVE FUN LIVING IN YOUR SECOND LIFE AND ENJOY PLAYIN..." after that "womans voice" told me something the place became dead, I mean very Qiuet.

"It's really qiuet, it's creeping me out. It means that my character creation is finished now I just have to say that word that the "womans voice" told me amd find out what gonna happen next. Maybe I'll be transported again into another empty space, no help thinking it lets just find out." I was literally talking to my self.

And suddenly makes me think about something. "I hope they memorize what I've gave them.....Naaaaaaa, I think they will do just fine on their own."
