Mr. Collins, a distant relative of the Bennets, makes an unexpected visit. He is a recently ordained clergyman employed by the wealthy Lady Catherine de Bourgh. On his way to visit his patron, Collins makes a visit, intending to find a wife from among the Bennet sisters. At first, he pursues Jane; however, when Mrs. Bennet mentions she is involved with Mr. Bingley, he turns to Elizabeth. He soon proposes marriage to Elizabeth, who refuses him, much to her mother’s distress. Collins quickly recovers and proposes to Elizabeth’s close friend, Charlotte Lucas, who immediately accepts him. Their marriage takes place soon after.

In the spring, Elizabeth joins Charlotte and Mr. Collins at his parish in Kent. The parish is adjacent to Rosings Park, the grand manor of Mr. Darcy’s aunt, Lady Catherine de Bourgh, where Elizabeth is frequently invited. While calling on Lady Catherine, Mr. Darcy encounters Elizabeth. She discovers from Darcy’s cousin that it was he who separated Bingley and Jane, as she suspected. Soon after, Darcy admits his love of Elizabeth and proposes to her. Elizabeth refuses him. When he asks why she should refuse him, she confronts him with his sabotage of Bingley’s relationship with Jane and his history with Wickham. Darcy responds with a long letter justifying his actions.

Thus, everything is set up to bring to conclusion the various love affairs—happily, or perhaps unhappily. Whatever the various resolutions, Darcy, Bingley, Jane, Elizabeth, as well as others, will need to overcome their pride and prejudices if they are to find love in the midst of these uncertain and complex relationships.

"You're telling me to humiliate myself as a lowly mercenary?" Galleo huffed.
"Galleo, you know some Earth Magic right? Please, my husband. If you want to get enough money for us, for your mother's treatment. Venicia's paying good money for Magicians against Brune. We need that money, you know that..." Marianne pleaded.
"If you really needed money why don't you start selling weapons in the Smithy, huh?! You're the one who won't let go of petty pride!" Galleo angrily huffed once more.
"I can't believe you said that..." Marianne couldn't retort against Galleo's words.
"Fighting in a war, selling weapons, what difference does it make?" Galleo didn't let his point go.
"Throughout our marriage, I have supported and encouraged you, I have been frugal with every coin we had so you can do your experiments and build your machines! But I will not dirty my father's legacy by selling dirty murder weapons" *Bang* Marianne ran away in grief as she shut the door close behind her.
"Haa..." Galleo sighed in guilt. He knew what Marriane meant when told him to work for Venicia's Army. As an Earth-Based Magician, he would've probably been put on defense duty and not on the actual battlefield.
It was a safe and reliable way to earn good money, but his pride as a Scholar didn't want him to work as a mercenary.
"Mother... Mama, are you ok?... I might join Venicia's defensive to earn some money for your" Galleo visited his mother to tell her his decision.

Sadly it didn't impress the Philosophers, not one bit. They were even slightly disappointed as the complex machine was useless compared to Galleo's past exhibitions.
And just like that, thanks to the ignorant prejudice of a bunch of Scholars, Galleo couldn't even make his mother proud during her final days...
Intense regret and despair consumed Galleo as he repeated his mistake with Sisario. Maybe he wouldn't have made it if not for the support of his loving wife and precious daughter...
"Shhh, don't cry...It's alright, everything will be ok" Marianne comforted Galleo during one of his emotional breakdowns. But sadly, Galleo's life never did become ok...
*Cough cough cough* "Is that you Galleo?" Marianne weakly asked as she reached out her hands towards the noise.
"It's me, honey. I've brought your the medicine"
"..." Marianne was silent for a while before she continued:
"Let me touch your face..."
Galleo came closer to his now blind wife. Three years after his mother died, his wife suddenly contracted another rare disease just like his wife, and now she was crippled and blinded by the disease.
Due to this and the financial problems they were having. Galleo was forced to throw away his pride and worked for the Venician Defense against Brune who was currently in the process of Annexing Venicia. He even worked on the dangerous frontline just to pay for his daughter's education and wife's medication. But the medicine was still not showing any results.
He was just here temporarily during his day off from the army to buy the medicine for his ill wife. Luckily, as an Earth Magician, he wasn't needed 24/7 on the battlefield.
"I'm here, Marianne..." Galleo let his wife touch his war-roughened face. [ Why? Why must it be you?!...] Galleo cursed Fate that mercilessly blinded his wife.
"I'm sorry you had to go through this" Marianne sighed. She knew the sacrifices Galleo made just to get her medicine.

"Good morning." Alex said. Their bodies were still naked and tangled in bed. He had the best smell, clean and musky. Like sex and masculinity. It was intoxicating. 
"Good morning." Riley said. "Ouch." She grabbed her forehead. She was hungover. Bad. 
"Ah, I see. So that's why I didn't hear your car." He laughed. 
"I left Vincent at dinner. He is an ass." She said, wiping the sleep from her eyes. 
"What happened? Did he hurt you?" Alex asked, sitting up. 
"No. But I called him out. Apparently while we together, he never stopped dating." She said. Alex looked like he understood and nodded. 
"And I told Tash about us." She said. Alex nodded at that as well. 
"What did he say?" He asked, getting up and walking to the bathroom. He came back with a glass of water and two Advil. She smiled and thanked him, happily taking both. 
"He said he was hurt but he couldn't be angry with me. It was the risk of all this when my memory came back. I don't think he was expecting it to be you, though." She said. He smiled. 
"You did a good job of shutting me out of your life completely after you began to have feelings for me. I think we are all a little surprised." He said with a wink. 
She smiled. "Yeah." She said. 
"So, what now?" He asked. 
"I don't know. Do you have a house? A dog? A life? How do we make this work?" She asked. "And I have to find out about my marriage. I don't even know if it's legal." She said. 
"What do you mean?" He asked. 
"It was on a reservation.  It was quick. Like he wanted to marry me fast. I don't know. The whole thing is weird." She said. 
"Fast?" He asked. Something was ticking in his mind. He picked up his cell and made a call. "Yes. It's me, I need another favor." He said. He explained Riley's marriage situation and asked for him to find out all he could on Tash. He then asked Riley what the name of the hospital was where she first went. She told him and then told him the name of the nurse that helped her. 
He hung up and looked at Riley. 
"Something isn't adding up." He said. She then remembered asking her attorney to find out about the marriage. "I'll call him today." She said. 
"But first, I have to get ready. I'm going to the gallery today to visit my old office and Becca." She said. 
"I'm coming with you." Alex said. "I don't want anything to happen to you with all of this going on. Plus, I'd like to see some of your work." He said, smiling. She nodded.

They arrived at Francesca's and Becca greeted them at the door. "Riley, so, so wonderful to see you here again. Alex." She said. Alex shook her hand and smiled. Francesca made her entrance and hugged Riley, hard. "My love, it is so good to see you. I'm so happy you are alright. Are you back for good? We need you here!" She said. "And who is this tall drink of sex water?" She asked, looking at Alex. He was wearing a tight fitting white v neck tee that showed his tattoos peaking on his chest and gray dress slacks with a light gray jacket. He looked good. 
"This is Alex. Will's brother. And my friend." Riley said. 
"Looking like that, I'd be his friend, too. I can't wait for this to be a thing. And it better be. Yummmo." Francesca said. Alex blushed. 
"Lovely to meet you. I'm back to work. So happy you are here, Riley. Stay forever." She said and whisked herself away. 
"She is a riot." Alex said. 
"You have no idea." Becca said, smiling. "Your office is down the hall. I'll make some coffee." She said. 
"Please. And thank you." Riley said. 
"Ri, this makes me very happy." She said, looking at Alex. 
Riley smiled. "Thank you." She said. 
Riley led Alex to her office. The smell brought back memories of her job. She felt it was familiar. Like deja vu. 
She sat down at her desk and Alex sat on the designer couch against the large window on the outside facing wall with a perfect view of Times Square. 
"This is nice." Alex said. 
"Thank you." She said. "So, what is your rank and role in the military?" She asked. 
"I was first lieutenant for the last two years that I was active. Then I went inactive for the last four and finished my college degree last year. I'm no longer in the military, having fulfilled my 8 year tenant and then almost two more in the reserves" he said. "I chose not to continue so I could take care of mom." 
She looked at him. He was such a good person. 
"College? I didn't know, or rather, didn't remember that. What did you study?" She asked. 
"English Literature. Arts. I studied poetry and philosophy as well. At Yale. I received my master's degree last spring." He said. Riley was shocked. That was unexpected. "I am hoping to be a professor." 
"Wow. So you are this muscle bound marine with a degree in the Brontes?" She asked. 
"You mock me." He said unhappily. "And yes. The Bronte's are very much a favorite of mine." He said. "I'm particularly fond of Wuthering Heights. What about you? A fan of literature?" He asked. 
"Yes. I love to read. Mr. Darcy was always the man for me." She said, happy to remember Pride and Prejudice. 
"Not anymore." He said, looking into her eyes. She blushed. 
"I guess not." She said. 
She looked into her drawers and found several notebooks and a planner along with another leather bound journal. She opened it and again saw a list of to do's. She put all of them in her bag to take home, hoping that reading them would help trigger more memories. 
"Coffee." Becca said as she knocked and walked in. 
"Awesome. Thank you so much." Riley said. 
"Well. Ready to take a tour of the gallery?" She asked Riley and Alex. 
"Yes. Very much so." He said, smiling at Riley.

"Hah!" She sneered and glanced at him, "I was forced, okay? How can I be happy?" 
"Let's go have another shot then!" Huo Yunting pulled her up, "Go, change." He gestured her to her wardrobe.
"Huo Yunting, I'm not a genie. Your wish is not my command."
"This is a photo that means the rest of our life. We can't just leave the photo like this. You can presume it as driven by my pride and prejudice back then. Now I've changed. Please don't reject me."
As much as Zhaoyang wanted to shrug away his hand, stand up and shout at him being a lunatic, she somehow felt she was the lunatic instead this time.
I must be crazy… 
Zhaoyang thought as they eventually got to the registry to have another shot, just because of the white cane her man kept. 
"Okay, smile." Their smiles were bright with a hint of passion and romance. 
"Now this is what I'm talking about," said Huo Yunting feeling pleased. 
Lu Zhaoyang rolled her eyes in a defeated manner.
Sometimes Huo Yunting really behaves like a little boy. Ugh.
"Where shall we go next?"
"What? Aren't we supposed to go home now? Xuxu's alone at home."
"Okay, we are going to have French food today." And they drove away.
When they got home, the little boy was on the sofa with arms around his chest as he pouted his lips unhappily.
"Xuxu, have you had dinner?" Asked Zhaoyang with a gentle voice.
"HMPH!" Huo Xu turned away his head. 
"Don't you show your attitude to your mother, young man. You might end up in the orphanage," said Huo Yunting as he tapped the little boy's head.
"No! Please, no. Sorry! Yang Yang, please don't leave me at an orphanage!" The little boy was a kid, after all. 
"Don't listen to him! How would I ever drop my little woozy pie at an orphanage?" 
Huo Yunting grinned as he showed Huo Xu the cake they bought him, "Aw, don't put up a long face. There, this is what we got you when we were out there." 
"Thank you, daddy!" The little boy accepted the compensation happily as he greedily stabbed the cake with a fork and started chomping. He had totally forgotten the fact that his mother was "abducted" that night. 
"Jesus Christ, Huo Yunting, how can you cheat your own child?" Said Zhaoyang upon returning to the bedroom. 
"Well that's what children are for. I can't let him be a giant third-wheel next to the rub, can I?" 
Huo Yunting kept the certificate in the drawer and returned her a winky face, "Okay, fine. Where do you want to start it tonight, Honey?"
"The study room?" Said Zhaoyang.
"As you wish." Huo Yunting bowed.
"¡No! Señor. I mean you're sleeping at the study room tonight," rejected Zhaoyang boldly as she walked past him, flipping her hair. 
She needed a shower and the nice comfy bed in the room. 
"In your dreams, señorita. We are showering together. Remember our motto? Save the water, save the Earth? Now we even get to save rubber on bed, how fun!" 
"..."
Oh my goodness, what other convincing excuses he could get just to penetrate me?!

The next morning, they started their work with an important international meeting at the hall. 
It was so long, that Zhaoyang could feel her sole aching from standing and her cheeks twitching from her plastic smile. It was almost noon when the meeting finally ended.
And there Lin Yazhi was, shouting and shaking her head in fear and fright.
"Oh no…I'm doomed…" Lin Yazhi sat down hopelessly as she covered her face, "My dad just got his head slammed by a door. He actually arranged a matchmaking session for me."
"Who's that?"
"It's…" 


She was the little chief secretary at Huo Yunting’s office, who carried out jobs both on the table and "under" the table. 
She was also his obedient wife at night, fulfilling his needs.

Tang Moyu ignored him and everyone's attention as she became the center of it. This wasn't the first time it happened to her anyway. She was used to being subjected to this kind of prejudice during her reign as Feng Conglomerates' business strategist and analyst. 

"Mr. Han, aren't you the CFO here? Shouldn't you be most familiar with what these issues implicate? In any case, if it isn't for our Moyu here, don't you think we would be left out in the dark for too long about what's going on in the company?" Elder Tang replied. 

Mr. Han's face blanched before his face turned into a deep shade of red. He slammed his palms on the table and rose to his feet. With his over six feet of height, any woman would feel dwarfed and intimidated by him, but not Tang Moyu. 

"I know that Miss Moyu and Miss Zhelan don't have a great relationship, but to actually try to discredit me and my fellow executives as soon as she arrives? I wonder what this empress's motive is right now! I don't doubt Miss Moyu's expertise and qualifications, but I cannot let my name be tarnished like this!" He exclaimed. 

Tang Moyu raised a slender brow at him and scoffed inwardly. 

"Are you done?" She asked him impassively. Her tone was so cold, it made everyone feel like the air conditioner had stopped working as the temperature inside the conference room dropped dramatically. 

Tang Moyu raised to her feet and gestured to Cheng Ning to pass around the reports and memos she prepared earlier.

"Please, look at the reports and the memos. We've cited all the discrepancies we've encountered while checking the company's cash flow for the past five years. Some of you might think that those were just minimal losses, but the total amount of those 'minor losses' is actually hurting the company's finances." She started to explain her report, but Mr. Han refused to back down and glared daggers at her. 

"You listen here, Miss Moyu. You've never worked in this company, you were never a part of it. I've already been here even long before you even entered college." He crushed the report in his hands and threw it straight to Tang Moyu's face. 

Tang Zhelan tried to hide her smirk behind the papers in her hands as she watched the scene in front of her with amusement.  

"Does that really matter?" Tang Moyu said cooly. "Mr. Han, maybe it's time for you to retire, as your head is getting duller as you age. You can't possibly overlook this issue, considering you ARE the CFO of this company, can you?" 

"I don't know why you are here but you don't have to treat me like—"

"Like what? Now, please don't look at me like that, Mr. Han. I haven't said anything against you, but if I must… your incompetence to avoid this problem and your refusal to acknowledge the issues says a lot about you, Mr. Han. I might have not worked here in the past, but the Tang Enterprise has helped me achieve whatever I have now and I wouldn't just sit idly on one side and let it crumble on its own." 

Her eyes swept around the members of the board before returning to the man who was causing trouble at this moment. 

"Mr. Han, I'm still a Tang and I have every right to protect this company. Now, if you can't be civil, the door is open, and no one will stop you. I'm sure none of us wants to waste more time for someone as unproductive as you." 

Elder Tang watched his granddaughter stand up for herself with confidence. Pride surged through him as she faced the older man without getting intimidated by him. Her being born as a woman didn't hinder or lessen her worth as a capable heir he'd always wanted. 

Compared to her brothers and sisters, Moyu was diligent in her work and was a perfectionist.  While her sisters and female cousins busied themselves practicing and nurturing their social skills, Moyu was busy conquering the account books since she was seven years old. 

If it wasn't for the fact that the Old Master Feng asked Tang Moyu's hand for marriage for his son, Elder Han would have raised and trained Moyu to be his next successor. Maybe it wasn't too late for him to do so. She had the skills and the prowess needed to protect their family business.  

Tang Moyu went through all the issues and discussed it in front of the board. There was too much cash tied up to the unfinished projects and deals that Tang Zhelan and her team entered into and most importantly it didn't yield any revenue for the company. Most of these projects were ego-driven by greed and pride of these executives as they were expecting unrealistic results in a short span of time. 

Eventually, the debt load of Tang Enterprise started to get out of hand, but they kept it secret and the interest rate was higher than it should have been. It didn't take long for everyone to realize that Mr. Han was part of the problem. They were all displeased to know that the Tang Enterprise was already on the brink of bankruptcy without them realizing it. 

"Do you understand now why I called this emergency meeting?" Elder Tang clasped his hand over the table and pinned Mr. Han and his other granddaughter, Tang Zhelan with a hard gaze. 

"We need a change of the executive team right now, and I suggest putting Moyu as the CEO of the company."

“Feng Tianyi! Your brother destroyed my Tang family! Is there anything good about your family?” 

“En. Can’t you see how our good looking genes are passed on to our children? As for the Feng family’s debt, I will pay you.” He said nonchalantly.

Tang Moyu scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest. 

“How will you pay for it?”

“How about I repay you with my body?”

“...”

So shameless! 

The man sitting on his wheelchair burst into a round of laughter seeing her ugly expression. 

“Miss Tang, it’s no point pretending you haven’t seen it since you practically climbed on my bed and took advantage of me.”

“Uncle, we don’t have money to pay you for damages.” The elder Little Bun said. 

“My manuscripts are invaluable,” This handsome uncle replied with amusement. 

“Uncle, if you don’t mind, can we pay with our Mommy? She’s also invaluable.” 

And so the pair of sweet little buns and the handsome uncle entered an agreement but who would have thought that the woman in question was an ice-cold queen from hell who had a weird affinity with sweets?

Shui Anluo raised her head and looked at Wen Xin. She did not seem to have ever considered remarriage.
Bai Yehan looked up and stared at the pair. He, who had maintained a cold, front finally spoke up.
"Remarriage is an important decision. You'd better think it through."
Shui Anluo frowned at Bai Yehan. Each time the man showed his prejudice toward her, he would always make it so obvious.
Chu Ningyi slowly looked up and carefully examined him. Bai Yehan was not an emotional person and certainly would not display prejudice against someone. However, he was obviously prejudiced against Shui Anluo this time.
"Old Second, do you have something against me?" Chu Ningyi asked straight away.
After Chu Ningyi asked the question, An Fengyang and Feng Feng turned around at the same time. The seemingly calm dinner table was now blanketed with a stifling, stormy feeling.
An Fengyang frowned. This was not the first time he had felt Bai Yehan's prejudice for Shui Anluo but he never thought that Eldest Chu would feel the same too.
However, Chu Ningyi's question had been: 'Do you have something against me?'
This was his way of protecting Shui Anluo. He was clearly telling Bai Yehan that if he disapproves of Shui Anluo, he would also disapprove of Chu Ningyi.
Shui Anluo thought about it up and down, left and right. She simply could not figure out how she had offended Bai Yehan that would cause him to be so prejudiced toward her.
"Could it be that you like me, Second Brother Bai?" Shui Anluo blinked and asked.
"Pfft..." An Fengyang spat.
Bai Yehan's expression turned ugly.
Chu Ningyi coolly glanced at Shui Anluo, clearly saying: 'Be more aware!'
Shui Anluo curled her lips. Was the atmosphere too nerve-racking?
Alright, if he does not like her, she would have to switch interpretations.
"Or rather, do you like Chu Ningyi instead?"
"Cough..." This time, An Fengyang was not the only one who spat.
Chu Ningyi was sitting calmly as he stared at Shui Anluo with an icy-cold glare.
'This idiot!'
"Gege..." The little darling clapped his little paws happily when he saw them spit their food out and broke the awkwardness around the dining table.
Bai Yehan stared darkly at Shui Anluo. He really does not have a good feeling about this woman. The reason behind it was probably because of the audio recording pen incident or perhaps there was another important reason behind his suspicion.
"Its' nothing, I'm just reminding you from the viewpoint of a lawyer. Remarriage is more tiresome than a first marriage." Bai Yehan explained before he lowered his head to eat his food.
Shui Anluo secretly scoffed, he was clearly afraid of offending Chu Ningyi.
However, she had never thought about remarriage. Even though their feelings have been set, the hastiness during their first marriage had resulted in the tragic end later on. This time, she has to carefully consider this and enjoy the process of being in love before discussing remarriage.
Once dinner was over, Wen Xin needed to go home and rest. An Fengyang could tell that something was not right with her so he only stayed a short while before bringing Wen Xin home early.
Qiao Yaruan had kept her head down the entire night but once An Fengyang left, she looked up again. However, there was a hint of sorrow in her eyes as she watched An Fengyang leave.
Shui Anluo's heart thumped. She really feels that something had happened between the two, something that she was not aware of.
After An Fengyang left, Chu Ningyi immediately sent Bai Yehan on his way.
However, when Chu Ningyi swiped his elevator card after walking out, he looked up at Bai Yehan and asked, "Old Second, what's up with you?" He was talking about Bai Yehan's prejudice toward Shui Anluo.
