A boy starts his first day of High School.

"Why is the back of the classroom door a mirror?"


Wiping the sweat off my brow I look at myself thoroughly through the mirror, my chest heaves up and down heavily.
Having just finished dancing I am completely worn out, Mr. Gee made me and Nick work together for 'Bonding Time'.
To me I thought that was completely unnecessary, if he's as good as everyone claims then it shouldn't have been a problem picking up a routine.

Without his old partner it was a mess, it's safe to say we've stepped on each others feet about a million times.
Arguing with each other over who messed up and who didn't, eye rolls and stomping feet, at the end of the day it just got annoying.
Switching from being alone to having a partner was really hard, even if me and Jay danced together sometimes we were never a 'Pair'.
I don't know how I'm going to keep up with the constant bickering back and forth, I honestly don't think we're ever going to get along.

First of all he's way too annoying, second we don't work well together, and lastly all he does is pick on me and make fun of me every chance he gets.
Like what's up with that?
'Why did I have to move schools?'

Sighing loudly I look at the empty dance room through the mirror, turning around I lean against it, tilting my head back on the cold mirror it feels nice on my head.
My eyes take in the room, on my right side is the door for the entrance of the dance room, right next to it is another door.
There is a cut out on the dance room mirror for a door, The unknown door starts to peek my interest, pushing myself off of the mirror I walk towards it.
I wonder what it could be because when you go to enter the dance room there is a wall there, bringing my hand up I twist the knob.
Pushing it open I step inside, my eyes widen in shock, Gasping at the beautiful room.



When I open the door all the way I step inside, looking to the left I see another door, automatically I'm confused.
If there was a wall after the other one then why is there another door?
Walking over to it briskly I pull it open, stepping out of that door I look into another school hallway.
'Ohhh so it leads to the other half of the school, that's neat.'

Turning back around I step back inside that door, walking over to the beautiful black grand piano i sit down in the bench, Looking at it closely I see it has collected dust.
I'm guessing this room hasn't been used for quite a while now, looking up it faces towards the mirror, furrowing my brows I don't see my reflection in it.
Getting up I walk towards the mirror, taking it in I only see my bag on the floor, 'thats weird... I thought I left it in the dance roo-...'.

Shocked a smile plasters itself onto my face, I realized that it's a two way mirror, this mirror lets you see into the other room but the other rooms mirror acts like a regular one.
Walking through the door I go back into the dance room, grabbing my bag I look at the mirror.
'no one would ever know that the other mirror can see everything going on in the room.'

Walking quickly to the lunch room I pull my hair tie out of my hair, having tied it up for PE.
Back into my outfit I physically shudder at the mention of PE, it's not like I'm not 'Active', it's just I hate running and sports with a passion.

I mean I'm very good at sports but I'd rather not do it for fun, we didn't have a uniform for PE so we got to wear what we like.
When my eyes scanned over the gym the amount of girls butt cheeks I saw made me want to literally vomit.

Stepping inside of the lunch room I scan my eyes, in the middle of the lunchroom I saw a very big table, and guess who was sitting at it.

That's right no other than Nick himself, looking at the other people I saw the same three guys from the dance studio.
I'm guessing they are Nick's friends, looking across the table I see Lima Bean sitting next to Nick, with her stupid little clique of girls from 1st period study hall.

Groaning out I notice my sister Kay sitting with a couple of people towards my left, taking a step towards her to go sit with them someone immediately blocks my view.



"Hi you're that Shim girl right? From the studio..." caught off guard I stare at the boy, my eyebrows jump up as I remember him from my first day at the studio.

"Oh hey! You're the guy who stuck up for me right?" He smiles making his eyes crinkle as I come to realize him, gripping my hand he pulls me with him.

"Yeah the names jake, why don't you come sit with me and my friends?" His head turns back to me as he drags me, nodding my head I give him a smile.

"Sure! I think that woul-.."
My sentence cuts off as a lump gets caught in my throat, my feet skid on the lunchroom floor when I realize where he's headed.
Come to think of it I do remember him sitting there earlier, my voice comes out soft as I go to protest sitting at the table in the middle of the room.

"You know on second thought I think I left something in-..."

Jake starts to laugh at me, tugging on my hand more we finally get to the table, my eyes scan the lunch room as I hear it grow quiet.
Most of the other students eyes are settled on me and jakes hands intertwined, looking over to Nick and the others sitting down they have become quiet as well.
My eyes lock with Nick his fork dropping on the table as he sees jake drag me over, his face is expressionless, eyes drifting down to our hands.
His eyes hold a dangerous glint, his once light brown eyes now look like a dark brown almost black, resembling charcoal.


His shoulders become hard as his body goes rigid, jakes voice bounces off the walls in the room, "this is Shimmy she's gonna sit with us from now on, hope that's cool with you guys".

'That's just my last name but I guess I don't mind that nickname either'
My face heats up as I think this.

"Eww why would we want-.."
Lima beans high pitched voice comes off strong, making the other students continue to talk amongst themselves in the lunch room.

Cutting her off I hear Nick start to speak, 
"Yeah that's cool"
His head is bent over his plate, fork pushing around the food as if he's playing with it, lifting his head he looks directly at me.

His lips pull up into a grin, tilting his head slightly to the side while he looks at me this makes me feel like he's up to something.

'What's up with him?'

Breaking the eye contact I turn towards jake, he pulls my book bag from off my shoulders, putting it on the floor next to him he sits down while motioning to the seat beside him.
Taking a deep breath I clench my fists, pulling a smile onto my face I take my seat, right next to jake and right infront of...

"SERIOUSLY can you like stop bumping into me!" 
Anger courses through my body as I shoot him a glare.
"Well.. if you'd stay out of my way then GLADLY!" the jerk says yelling near the end, "Aish this dumbass..-" I say muttering to myself.
"What- what did you just say"
"whAt- WHaT dID YOu jUsT SaY" I laugh as I mock him.
I can feel the warmth of him on my back, I can feel him standing behind me, turning around I come face to face with him.
His face inches from mine, "so you're mocking me now... well what happens if I kiss you?" 
A bit flustered my cheeks turn red.
I snap out of my daze mustering up enough courage to reply.
When it comes to this.. the only way I can win is if I fight fire with fire.
looking into his eyes I say "well then I guess I'll have no choice...-
....but to return it".


"Taylor" Her mother's voice and the accompanying knock on the bedroom door startled her. The mountain dragon too was surprised, opening its eyes wide in shock and spreading its wings to fly across the room to hang from the curtains again. "Do you want some ice cream" Her mother's tone was friendly and conciliatory, tinged with hope.
"No," Taylor called back hurriedly. She wavered between watching the dragon and running across the room to barricade the door. The mountain dragon used its claws to pull itself a few inches further up the curtain, like a cicada clinging to the trunk of an oak tree. "I'm fine. Goodnight."
"Ok, if you're sure." Taylor could sense her mother standing outside her door for several minutes after, waiting and listening, before she heard her heavy sigh. "Goodnight, dear." Finally, Taylor heard her mother's footsteps as she walked back up the hallway.
The burn on Taylor's hand throbbed and ached. She reached across to her dresser for the red tube of pawpaw ointment, taking off the lid to squeeze a small amount of salve onto her finger to smear across the wound. The burn felt a little better under the soft, gentle rub of her fingertip and the pain eased a little. Taylor replaced the lid and as she dropped the tube onto the top of the dresser, the dragon made a happy chirruping noise from where it still clung lopsidedly to the curtain.
Taylor smiled and walked over to the curtains, mistakenly imagining that the dragon was growing used to her. Before she could reach it, the creature relaxed its grip on the fabric and once again flew into the centre of the room, skittering past her in a rush of scales and wings to return to its previous position on the mirror. It hung from the string of beads on the wardrobe door and chirruped again. Taylor turned around and trudged back to the wardrobe. "Keep still," she grumbled.
The mountain dragon now had its back to her. As it swung gently on the beaded necklace, it faced inwards towards the mirror. Taylor could see its green eyes watching her in the mirrored reflection as she walked slowly up to stand a small distance away, unwilling to frighten it again. "It's okay," she said softly, "I won't hurt you." The dragon's eyes blinked slowly at Taylor in the mirror and again, she caught a glimpse of movement in the reflection of the glass. She turned her gaze fully towards her own reflection and jumped back in shock.
Instead of the image of herself that she had expected to see, dressed in her jeans and an old Sponge Bob sweatshirt with her hair hanging loose over her shoulders, the Taylor in the mirror was wearing a pale blue fitted dress made of some kind of rough, woven fabric. The dress shaped in over her breasts, nipped in at the waist, and fell to just below her knee. Leather sandals encased her feet, the long straps wrapped up her legs in a criss-cross pattern. A jewel-topped sword hung from the leather belt around her middle, its long blade reaching down almost to her calves. Several thick strands of her long blonde hair were twisted into a complicated plaited braid, done much more expertly than she could ever manage herself, and wound around her head. Taylor ran her hands over her sweat top and jeans to check they were real. Her reflected image stayed the same – the same blue dress, the same sandals, the same braided hair. She swallowed hard, somehow certain that this time it wasn't just her stupid eyes playing a trick on her. "What is happening to me" she whispered hoarsely.
The dragon continued to watch her silently in the reflection of the mirror. Its green eyes did not blink as it whipped its tail around, its scales undulating with the movement and its tiny fins trembling gently. It flexed its claws around the pink beads and made a low sound in its throat.
Taylor ran her hands over her sweatshirt and jeans again, monitoring her image in the mirror carefully. The Taylor in the mirror ran her hands over her blue dress, one hand catching on the hilt of the sword, then down over her skirt to the hem. Once again, Taylor saw something move in the background behind her reflected self and she looked past her reflection and into the mirror to the scene beyond. 
Taylor blinked and rubbed at her eyes while she counted to three. Slowly, cautiously, she opened her eyes again. The scene had not changed. The reflection in the mirror was not the reflection of her bedroom, with its untidy bed and drawn curtains lit up by the bright light of her ceiling lamp. Instead, the Taylor in the mirror was standing in a green field, while tawny-coloured hills and a wide blue sky stretched off into the distance. As she stared in disbelief, lazy white clouds scudded across the azure sky and an eagle, its body a tiny dark speck against the impossibly deep blue, soared high above.
The dragon chirruped and fixed its eyes on the real Taylor. She met its brilliant green gaze in confusion as she struggled to make sense of what lay in front of her. In one quick movement, the dragon let go of the string of beads and melted into the glass of the mirror. As Taylor watched, the little creature flew up onto the shoulder of the reflected Taylor and perched there, its tiny talons snagging the blue fabric of her dress into a puckered ridge across her collarbone. It stared fiercely out of the mirror and chirruped again.
Taylor opened her mouth and watched as her reflected image did the same. She shut her mouth, lifted one leg, waved her hand, and shook her head. She put her hand up to touch the empty space on her shoulder and the dragon in the mirror squawked indignantly as the mirror-Taylor's hand brushed against it. Except for the dragon, all the movements and actions of mirror-Taylor were an exact replica of all that Taylor did as she stood there in her bedroom in front of her wardrobe. However, the girl in the mirror was not quite Taylor. She looked far too brave and adventurous to be Taylor, a major character rather than an unobtrusive member of a story's support crew. The dragon ruffled its scales and settled down again, at complete ease on the shoulder of Taylor's reflection. 
The burn on Taylor's palm pulsed and stung. She spun on her heel and gazed around her room, her glance flickering over the comfortable mess and ordinariness and familiarity of it all. She could hear the faint sound of the television from the living room and she could see the gentle movement of the pixels on her computer screen from where her laptop rested on her bed. She made up her mind.
Taylor stepped into the mirror.

With Geodhun’s guidance, Taylor sets off for the Outpost of Illusions to meet the wizard Mistost. During her journey, Taylor is encouraged by Geodhun to follow her heart and rely on her intuition. She learns about trust, strength, and bravery, especially after returning to her own world to make up her friendship with Amy. 
Taylor and Amy step back into the Obsidian Realm where the girls work together, with the help of the friends Taylor has already made in the Realm, to release the land from its enchantment.
After a series of adventures and challenges, all of which she manages to overcome, Taylor returns to her own world with a greater understanding of love, loss, relationships - and of the good and bad aspects of her own self.


Her alarm goes off at five am. It's still dark outside so it wouldn't matter if her curtains were open even. She gets out of bed and walks over to her closet. Then, she grabs an oversized outerwear and slides it below her waist. After that, she grabs the box of cigarettes and lighter on her way out. But then she waits and compromises.. 
She swings her white door open and closes the gate door behind her. She walks over to the top step of her apartment and sits over her outerwear on the hard cold cement. Finally, she pulls a cigar out of the box and gets her lighter out of her pocket to complete the process. She then inhales it's toxic black smoke into her lungs and and begins her exhalation out into the atmosphere. Within fifteen minutes of fresh morning air she walks her way back into the room. After all that's cleared out of her mind she slowly closes her bedroom door and turns on her lamp closest to her bed. Then, she sits herself up straight or leans her back against the head of her bed and compromises a little bit longer.
In a minute or so the baby starts to cry from across the room. She then gets back to compromising hoping her own mother can cope with it herself. Once one of her mini rituals has satisfied her enough she swings her door open and her mother's door to find her baby sister in her crib. She picks the baby up from her crib and tries to brush her back to sleep. Suddenly the she hears the bathroom cabinet shut and speeds through the main room towards the hall. It's still dark in the house and no light ray has shown in any  of the room yet. She stops and hears her mother's sobbing from across the hall. Afterwards here pace began to slow here down here eyes wide,"mom.." Then she stops in the corner repeats,"mom."
She sticks her head forward for a clearer glimpse of what's happening. Her mother stands in the bathroom mirror it's 5:33.
She makes a sharp laugher to herself. Her mother's laughter gets louder as her daughter studies her body movement. It devours her. And something about that in the moment made her daughter want to laugh along with her mother. A long silent occur before it consumes her mother again. Her mother laughs harder and louder in the mirror. Her hair looked like it was tamed by herself and done in straight layers shoulder length. She wears a loose gown in pink down to her thighs and had kept her house slippers on during that process. She leans forward to the mirror with her hands press against the her reflection. She was wearing a heavy load of makeup over her face with blue eyeshadow and an outline over her brows. She had dark blush press onto her face and zero lipstick on her lips. She looks to the woman in the mirror laughs her tears so satisfyingly draws down her her face- so wet her daughter could feel the itch down her jaws. Her mother looked her into the mirror and closes her mouth. She smiles so widely her yellow teeth the little one could see the creases cutting her face so deep like branches growing from a tree. She pulls a knife from the drawer and raises her elbow horizontal to her neck.

The phone in her palms vibrated again, waking up Ji Yi from her daydream as she stared out the window. 
She turned her head and glanced at the bright phone screen. It was a message from Tang Huahua again: "Xiao Yi, the final song is playing; you should get ready to come over now."
Ji Yi tapped the keyboard incredibly quickly and replied to Tang Huahua with an "mhm." Then she stepped out of the restroom. 
As Ji Yi walked towards the hallway, she caught a glimpse in the mirror beside her from the corner of her eye. She hesitated for a moment and stopped walking. She turned and looked over at the mirror above the sinks.
The woman in the mirror wore an exquisite dress with a special design on the waist which made her figure look elegant.
Her makeup was simple and her long dark hair was in an up-do, exposing her clean and bright forehead. A few strands of hair fell by the side of her ears, which added to her sweet and beautiful aura.
The woman's eyes were bright, full of life and throbbing with excitement.
Ji Yi was both familiar and unfamiliar with herself like this.
She always knew she was rather beautiful and even when she walked on the streets without makeup on, she attracted quite a few onlookers. However, at that very moment, she looked at herself in the mirror and felt like she was the most beautiful she'd ever looked in her whole life.
Ji Yi checked herself out in the mirror for a while until the phone in her palms vibrated again. Tang Huahua was rushing her to hurry up, so she withdrew her gaze and ran down the long hallway to room 1001.
She stopped in front of the tightly-shut door and heard the faint clamor of music and shouting on the other side of the thick wooden door.
Because she just ran over in a hurry, her breath was visibly unsteady. She took a harsh deep breath and slowly exhaled at the wooden door. After her racing heart calmed down, she picked up her phone and sent Tang Huahua a message: "I'm at the door now."
Tang Huahua didn't give her a reply.
The noise behind the door still continued.
There were endless inconsistent shrieks and howls coming from inside.
A while later, the room quieted down a little.
After a short while, the phone in Ji Yi's palm lit up. "Xiao Yi, you can come in now."
Xiao Yi put her phone away then pulled out the ring she hid in her pocket. She took a deep breath in front of the tightly shut door, forcefully rubbed the ring then reached out and pushed the door open.
The lights in the room were switched off, but it was still quite noisy inside.
Ji Yi was familiar with the floor plan for room 1001. After stepping into the room, she walked straight ahead until she came to stop when she saw the faint light from the song selection podium.
First, she clicked the play button then raised the microphone Tang Huahua put on the song selection podium and took two steps towards the center of the room.
After about half a minute, the black screen behind Ji Yi lit up and a familiar song started to play.
With the faint light from the big screen, Ji Yi immediately spotted He Jichen on the sofa nearby in front of her.
He must've not noticed there was one extra person in the room as he had his head turned while chatting to Han Zhifan sitting next to him.
Ji Yi saw his brows twitch the moment the music played, but he didn't look over at her.
Even though Ji Yi had thought through this whole scenario a thousand times over the past two days, now that the moment was finally here, Ji Yi was still a little nervous.
She secretly waited for the prelude to end before she raised the microphone to her lips and sang.


Time stopped at eighteen for Ji Yi, and now all she wants to do is pick up from where she left off. Her career depends on it, and on top of that, she has to survive a fake marriage turned real! Some missed opportunities are irreplaceable, and some misunderstandings between them have proven near-fatal, but for He Jichen, he isn’t just a pretty face—he’s an opportunist. Terry walked through a small hallway with a sack full of sixteen-thousand gold pieces in hand. He stopped at a desk that had no line. He walked past a bunch of doors that were all numbered. Mages watched Terry with wide eyes probably due to the vast amounts of gold he was carrying.
A woman in the same uniform as Beca stood behind the desk, "Hello are you looking for housing?" She questioned.
Terry smiled and nodded his head, "Yeah I can go for some sleep." His eyes felt heavy and his body sluggish. He hadn't slept since he was at the Trader's Inn.
She nodded her head with a smile, "Of course which room do you want we have our basic room at twenty gold a week. Advanced for 40 gold a week. Our high-end rooms are 80 gold a week. Our best rooms are 160 gold a week which are restricted to class A and up mages."
"Well I'm class S I think. So I'll take one of the best rooms you have." Terry said with a weak smile.
"Oh, you are? I just haven't seen you here so I assumed forgive me." The receptionist said seemingly tapping her fingers on a desk and waving her hands until her eyes widened, "Oh... your right. The new Tome Finder is pleased to meet your acquaintance and your job history. Impressive for only being here one day. Slaying ten dire rats and a lich amazing."
Terry scratched the back of his head and smiled, "Thanks."
She did a few more gestures and returned the smile, "Alright I can get you a high-end room we have one available. Would you be paying weekly or yearly? If you are paying yearly it is a fifty percent discount."
"Discount?" Terry questioned with a cock of his head.
The receptionist laughed shortly, "It just means it'll be a bit cheaper. It would be three thousand eight hundred and forty gold pieces if you would like to pay for the year."
Terry lifted the large bag of gold over the counter, "Sure... I should have enough in here." Terry said dropping the gold letting it hit the desk with a loud -THUD-.
"Impressive," She whispered untying the top of the bag pulling out a handful of golden coins. She began to count handful by handful, "We've definitely been needing another S rank mage we've been getting backlogged in our S rank requests as Dragoncaller and Phoenix doesn't do as much as they should be." The receptionist spoke while counting.
Terry laughed lightly, "I see. Well, don't expect me to do too much more than they do. I'm still pretty new."
"Oh, you don't need to worry about that if you do a task more than once every two weeks then you'll be doing more than them." She took a few more coins out of the bag and smiled pushing the bag back to Terry a small pile of golden coins sat in front of her, "There we go three thousand eight hundred and forty coins. Perfect." She reached under the desk and handed Terry a key, "This key will take open the door down the hallway and to the right. Your name will already be posted on the nameplate of the door."
Terry nodded his head taking the sack of gold coins it felt quite a bit lighter Terry thought to himself as he tied it back up. "Alright thank you." He said walking off with the key in hand. He took a right at an intersection and walked past two doors one's plate read Dragoncaller the next Phoenix and his name was on the very end, Terry. He smiled to himself putting the key into the door and turning it. The door opened right up.
Terry had stars form in his eyes as he walked in the room was bathed in a gentle white light. A small hot tub sat in the corner with a large mirror mounted on the wall across from a gargantuan bed. He walked in closing the door behind him with a smile on his face, "It's nice." He muttered.
"It is," Erebus responded.
Terry smiled wide, "it's much better than what I'm used to at the orphanage... my own bed my own... everything."
"Of course... There is something you need to know."
"What is it Erebus..." Terry was quiet for a moment, "But first I really don't like calling you by that name how bout E?" He walked over to the bed and laid down.
"If that's what you wish... What I wanted to tell about is the soul gem you carry in your pocket."
Terry reached down grabbing the gem out of his pocket looking deeply into it, "Yeah? What about it?"
"I know you are still pained about what happened to her and you feel like it's your fault. Which it is.... but as you get stronger and gain more control over our powers you can bring her back... back the way she was."
"Really? That's.... that's really good to hear." Terry muttered putting the gem back into his pocket. He looked over at a small table that had another mirror sitting on the desk. "Why would I need two mirrors?" Terry questioned sitting up from the bed. He put his hand on the mirror it lit up lightly in vibrant white light.
The mirror began to speak a distorted voice spoke, "Hello, REGISTERED USER what would you like to order? A list of five different boxes with different food items was listed they were, "CHICKEN, BEEF, SEAFOOD, PORK, VEGETARIAN"
"What is this?" Terry questioned looking at the mirror for a few moments until reaching out for the STEAK button. A few more buttons popped up but Terry stopped reading them and started clicking through them to see what would happen. 
The distorted voice began to speak again, "One STEAK dinner with STEAMED POTATOES and TEA price THIRTEEN gold pieces. CONFIRM?"
Terry hit the confirm button and the mirror turned black. "Hmm, odd thing. He laid back on his bed closing his eyes slowly falling asleep. Terry awoke with a start to a knock on his door, "C...coming." He said groggily standing up walking to the door. Upon opening, he was greeted by a young mage boy in a suit and tie, 
"Here's ya order sir." He was pushing a trolly covered in a white cloth with a plate with a dome lid over it, and a pitcher filled with ice cubes and a smooth brown liquid. "It's thirteen gold, sir." He said his smile widening a bit. 
"Oh... hold on." Terry turned around counting thirteen gold pieces out of his bag that laid on the floor next to the door. "Alright. Here ya go." Terry handed the gold pieces to the young boy and took the dome plate and the pitcher. The boy walked past with the trolly. Terry turned around noticing a table with forks and spoons and a small glass. "That wasn't there before," Terry said with a chuckle walking over to the table.
Terry sat down and began to eat, 'I could get used to this.' 
Terry didn't leave the room for a whole week. Why would he? He had everything he needed. His one personal bathroom behind a door in the back of the room food and as much entertainment he could want with the mirror across from his bed. 
Terry slept with a smile on his face he wore fresh clothing that he was able to order through the mirror his burned tarnished clothing was scattered around the room lazily. He woke up to a loud knock, "I didn't order anything." Terry said to himself getting up walking to the door and opening it.
Dragoncaller also known as Darryl stood at the door, "Hey Terry I have a mission I want to go on with you."
"What is it?" Terry questioned scratching the back of his head.
"Another Tomefinder." Dragoncaller said with a smile, "It's S rank so we'll both get four k gold pieces though you probably don't need it I heard about the big payday you got on your first day. Crazy how that works."
Terry smiled, "Yeah... I'm game where are we going?"
Darryl returned Terry's smile and it slowly contorted into a smirk, "The orphanage you came from. I should have known there was another one there."
Erebus chuckled in Terry's head, 'So, she was found.'

It was nearly one in the morning, as Das and I quietly crept towards the castle. I had washed off my perfume, and used some of Das's soap, to hide my smell from those monsters that lurked around. We reached the castle, and crept around the side, to a different door than the one Erik and I found before. We slipped inside shutting the door quietly behind us. The guards inside saw us, but then turned and faced their backs towards us, proving that Das did have friends on the inside that wanted freedom from my brother as badly as we did. We walked along the floor in socks, to silence our steps and made our way to my brother's room. The guards outside had their eyes closed as we approached, and one handed us the keys to open the room door. Sliding in, we closed the door, and continued silently inside. Das led us into a side room off the living room, filled with gems of all kinds, and rare fabrics. There were a few bedazzled weapons in the room, but they were clearly for show. There was a not-so-hidden, hidden door across the room. It was noticable, because while the rest of the room's walls were covered in jewels and gems, the door had nor a single diamond in front of it, making it very obvious. Das had warned me before, to not touch anything, because my brother kept a very close eye on where every single gem was, and it was even a centimeter off, he would know. Leaving the door cracked to allow in some light, we stalked into the room. It was completely empty aside from the pedestal in the center, and the mirror levitating  above it. Das took a small mirror of the same size out of a loop on his pants, and switched the mirror with the fake. Quickly, we rushed out of the room, and back into the hallway, sprinting down as quietly as we could. We ran all the way back to Das's house. Out of breath, we collapsed onto the couch, and I started to laugh. Das, confused, joined in my laughter.
"We did it. We got the mirror! Now we need to find a way to free everyone from the mirror." I said, in-between gasps for breath, and bursts of laughter.
"I have no idea how to do that, but let's sleep for a little, and figure it out later. We need to act fast though, because the King will be back soon, and notice his prized possession is gone.". Das replied, as much out of breath as I was.
"Speaking of which, why does the King go for a walk so early? It's past one. No one should be up this early, whether they are a spirit or not." I asked, shifting to face the dark shape I knew to be Das.
"Not sure. He has done it for as long as I've been here, and I've been here a long time. Anyways, let's get some rest. You can take the bed, I'll sleep out here."
"Alright. Thank you, and sleep well." I said, rising, and moving towards the bedroom.
"Sleep well." Das replied, yawning and moving into a more comfortable position on the sofa. I climbed into the bed, under the thin sheet and fell into a fitful sleep, replaying the dead look in Erik's eyes as he faced me, over and over again in my mind's eye. I woke to Das standing over the bed, shaking my shoulder, and whispering frantically,
"He's here!"
I heard a loud knock on the door, and my brother's voice floated through the door.

Dianne lay on her four-poster bed, reading her favorite novel, though she had read it 10 times already. Holidays had started so they lay about doing nothing and wandering around the house aimlessly.
Aunt Melinda wasn't helping cure their boredom either. She kept dropping hints about a trip to Italy, which Dianne found extremely annoying.
Dianne was a girl of about 16 with sleek black hair braided into plaits. She had a thin face, a pointed nose, and soft brown eyes. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adams, an ancient family living in the corner of Britain. Her parents were often on excursions to other countries and were seldom home. Dianne was by nature a bookworm and naturally came with her love for antiques and her room was full of them, like stamps, old letters, typewriters, etc.
 She put the on the dresser and flumped back on the pillow, and was just beginning to sleep when her younger brother, Joseph burst into the room.
Now Joseph was the exact opposite of his sister. He had flyaway hair which he never liked to comb and he was rowdy and annoying, or so Dianne thought. He hated studying and anything related to it, like book reading or stamp collecting. He said once, 'Books and stamps are for the old people and I don't like 'em.' 
'What do you want?' Dianne said lazily.
'Oh, nothing…' said Joseph with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
 'Joseph… Don't you dare do it! '
Joseph sped into the hall with the book of stamps and Dianne ran after him. They didn't notice where they went and soon found themselves in the basement of the old mansion. 
This house had belonged to their great-great-great-grandfather and there were a lot of things in there which Dianne found extremely fascinating. There were old trunks, boxes labeled things like 'Photos', 'Books' and 'Jewelry', furniture and a wardrobe with the initials R.A. carved in its door. 
There was a door beneath the lamp which lit up the basement and Dianne knew that there was an ornate mirror in that hall because she had seen the housekeeper taking it out to clean. She cautiously opened the door and Joseph stood watching her. The mirror was still on its platform and looked a little dustier than when she had seen it last time. She walked up to it and thought she heard whispers ensuing from it when Aunt Melinda's voice echoed through the halls,
'Where are you, children?' 
They shot each other panicked glances and rushed out of the basement. Aunt Melinda said suspiciously, 
'Where were you two? I was looking for you all over the place, and here you are.'  
'We were down in the kitchen, Auntie.' Dianne said innocently. 
That night Dianne kept wondering about the voices that were coming from what seemed like inside the mirror. She had not begun to think about it much when her head lolled over and she fell into a deep slumber.

'Dianne? Dianne!' 
A pair of pale gray eyes were hovering above her when she was roused. Joseph was sitting on her bed and the curtain was wide open. A streak of dancing sunlight was shining on her face.
'Whazzamatter?' she mumbled, half asleep. 
'Come on, Aunt Melinda is calling us down for breakfast.' 
'OK, I'm coming, I'm coming.' 
During breakfast, Dianne was planning to go back and investigate. She didn't want Aunt Melinda to know anything about the mirror and her fears about it yet, because she was sure to panic. 
Fortunately, Auntie was going over to a friend's house tomorrow and Joseph's holidays had ended, so he would have to go to school. She would have the whole house to herself! She decided that she should call her friends, Aura and Rachel to help. She couldn't bear going there alone. It just felt suspicious...
      She waited eagerly for tomorrow and didn't sleep at night either. She kept tossing and turning in her bed, the thought of going down to the mirror again excited her, as well as made her a bit nervous. Aura had already come over and Rachel would come the next day.
 While she chatted with Aura about the mirror, they discussed what they would find there and were extremely excited. But as the night rolled on, their sleep became more powerful than their desire to stay awake and they were sleeping before the clocks had struck one.
Dianne woke up to find Aura sprawled on her bed, snoring. Dianne smiled and quietly went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Just as she was going down the stairs to breakfast, a chime sounded at the front door. Rachel's voice floated up and Dianne rushed down, embracing her friend. Aura slumped down too and they all sat for breakfast, chatting away about the mirror. 
Dianne led her comrades to the basement and switched on the light. Dianne went toward the door of the hall and the door creaked ominously, leading them into the dark.

"Dianne walks into the room...it seems like it hasn't been opened for a long time. Cobwebs hang from the walls and a musty smell lingers about. There in the other corner of the room, a tall, dusty mirror leans against the wall..."
When Dianne finds a hidden room in the basement of her house, she discovers a mirror with a terrible secret. Will Dianne be able to escape the mirror's evil whispers?

Night Wind's face was tight and worried, and he had also brought a video back with him.
When that video was played, Han Sen understood Night Wind's expression.
The beginning of the video showed a stone path, which must have been the road that had been dug up.
Han Sen didn't know how they chose where to start digging, but it clearly wasn't a random decision. They had somehow figured out exactly where to start digging.
The Hell had controlled large-scale dig sites. When Miss Mirror and her people arrived, they quickly reduced the scale of the operations. Now excavation was being conducted in three locations, and the one in the middle had to have been where they began.
As the video went on, it revealed many complicated stone paths that branched off until the stone road opened up to reveal a large room. There, Han Sen found himself looking at the statue Miss Mirror had mentioned.
It was ten meters tall. It wasn't very big when compared to some of the statues Han Sen had seen before, but it was pitch-black, and it had the same texture as the rocks around it.
The statue featured a man sitting with his legs crossed. His arms were crossed, as well, making an X shape. The eyes of the man were just as Miss Mirror had described. There were two pupils in each, and they were red.
Behind the statue were many arms and hands. They formed together to create the large shape of a torch. Every hand also featured a red eye with two pupils.
Looking at the statue was disconcerting. It was like there was an endless tide of weird eyes were staring out of the screen. Han Sen was only looking at them through the video, but even so, he got goosebumps. A chill passed over Miss Mirror and Night Wind as well.
The video didn't hang around the statue for long. It moved forward, revealing something that was even more surprising.
Beyond the statue, the stone path vanished into a cave. It was a rough hole that looked like it had been dug by bare hand or claws.
The walls of the stone tunnel were smeared here and there with blood. Claws and talons were carved into the surface of the tunnel. As the video progressed, more and more blood was revealed.
The blood slowly took over every surface, turning the black cave red. The sight made Han Sen's stomach crawl.
"That cave couldn't have been dug by hand, right?" Han Sen couldn't help but ask.
Although the Extreme King didn't give much respect to the workers, they only hired people who were at least Marquises. Those people were considered strong within their own races. Their weapons might not have been legendary treasures, but they should have been decent. Even if they didn't bring their own tools, the Extreme King would have provided them with xenogeneic treasures. They wouldn't have had to use their hands to dig that tunnel.
But based on the marks and scratches left behind, the tunnel was obviously the work of claws and hands. It hadn't been dug out with tools.
Miss Mirror and Night Wind looked at the video with perplexed stares. They didn't answer Han Sen's question.
Han Sen knew it was true even without their confirmation, though. He looked at the video for a bit longer, and he soon saw a dead Marquise with the head of a cow. Instead of hands, there was only a twisted mass of gore at the end of the man's arms. Bits of bone protruded through the scraped flesh.
Seeing this scene, Han Sen couldn't stop his imagination from replaying what had happened. The cow-headed man had dug frantically with his hands, injuring its fingers on the hard stone. And yet, it didn't stop. It kept on digging and digging with frenzied energy. Eventually, the man's hands had been ground to nubs. He had bled out and died.
The video didn't stop there, and the gristly sight replayed itself over and over. Han Sen saw more and more dead bodies scattered throughout the cave.
They were all in the same position. They leaned forward, pressing their destroyed hands against the walls. Some had shredded their palms, whereas others were missing entire arms.
Despite having died, they still maintained their digging positions. Their faces looked very passionate as if they were excited about what they were doing, but amidst that passion, there was also the presence of fear. It was a terror that lay deep in their bones.
Han Sen couldn't explain all the emotions he saw etched across those dead faces, but his stomach clenched and a cold sweat beaded across his back.
The eyes of the dead workers were all open, exposing their dual red pupils.
The stone path was no longer really a path. It was like a long grave dug out with blood. So many Dukes and Marquises had died up and down that stone path. And the further the path went, the worse the sights were.
At the end of the video was a stone door. Just as Night Wind said, the double door looked like the entrance to a city. Both sides of the door were crimson, like they'd been made of solidified blood. There were also many semi-circular marks across the door—scrapes left behind by fingernails.
The door was ten meters high, and because they had dug right up to the surface of the door, only rock surrounded the doorframe. It was impossible to see what was beyond those doors.
But what lay before the door gave Han Sen chills.
Many of the workers were stretched out before the door like people trying to escape from the demons of hell. Their dead arms were extended painfully in front of them, trying to reach some non-existent salvation. Their nails were broken and their bones were chipped. The blood on their hands had dyed the door, but none of them had been able to open the door.
The workers had lasted so long, but they had all died before this door. Blood pooled around the bodies before the evil door. The door stood solid and unmoving, like the entrance to hell itself.
Night Wind's face looked terrible. "They are all dead. No one is left alive, and they had all gone insane by the end. They just kept digging and digging. Those rocks are hard, and they are incredibly difficult to dig, even with tools. When they used their fingers to dig, they began bleeding quite quickly. But when the blood touched the stone, it was almost as if the stone softened. They could dig it up, but it still hurt them. They kept digging until they bled out."
Night Wind's voice trembled, even though he was a deified that had witnessed many life and death scenarios. What he had seen would give even him nightmares.
"This place is cursed." Han Sen felt sick. He had the urge to just grab Bao'er and flee.
Although they had the red bird with them, there was something that was simply wrong about this place. Even Miss Mirror, who was a strong deified, had been affected. There was every chance the red bird might not escape whatever power was doing these horrible things.
"Run! We must run! We cannot stay in this horrible place any longer," Han Sen decided. He was going to leave this place, no matter what. He would leave, even if Miss Mirror sought to stop him.
"Your eyes!" Miss Mirror suddenly whispered in dread, looking at Han Sen's eyes. Fear filled her face.
"What happened to my eyes?" Han Sen's heart jumped. He knew this was bad.
With no hesitation, Han Sen waved his hand to cast a water mirror so he could look at himself.
At that moment, Han Sen felt like fear had sunk deep into his bones. His black eyes had turned red, and furthermore, a fissure was running down the center of each pupil. The circular pupils became gourd-shaped, and they were slowly splitting in half.

'I. Am. So. BORED!!!!' I shrieked in my mind as I lay in my crib. It is currently two in the morning and I'm trying to be considerate of my family by not crying, but I'm getting bored.
'What the heck am I supposed to do here? All I can do is practice standing up and that gets old quick,' I sighed quietly to myself. I am a little over three months old now and have gotten the hang of crawling. I probably look really weird as I crawl as it's little more than an army crawl, but still!! I can move around now.
'Wait!' I gasped in my mind, 'I could just get out of the crib and explore the house! Maybe I can even find a mirror to finally see what I look like!!!' With that thought in my mind, I stood myself up as best as I could and checked the distance from the crib to the floor. Seeing how it wasn't too tall I grabbed the pillow in my crib and threw it over the edge of the crib. I began to feel excited as I climbed over the bars of my priso- ahem, crib. 'Hopefully I don't die in some stupid way,' I thought to myself, amused. As I made the small drop, I landed with a small thud. I stiffened up a bit and looked at my parents bed hoping they didn't hear me. Luckily, my dad's snoring kept me from being heard. I made my way to the door and pulled on the door as hard as I could. After I opened the door, I quickly made my way into the hallway. 
'Woo!!! I made it out of there!!! Now to find some books,' I thought as I crawled my way down the hall. I made my way into the living room and examined my surroundings. 'Hmm, there's a couple chairs, a coffee table, a mirror, a plant, WAIT A MIRROR!!!' I crawled as fast as I could to the mirror. As soon as I was in front of the mirror, I pushed myself onto my feet as best as I could and gave myself a look over. 'Oooooooohhhh I'm pretty!!!!! Thank you god!!!!! I'm gonna get all the boys when I grow up,' I thought as I smirked to myself. As I kept checking myself out, I heard my mom shriek from our room. '[OH MY] GOD, [WHERE IS] SHIOTA?????' Uh oh.

I have never written anything before. I don’t expect anyone to read this, but if anyone does, I’m making up the story as I go along so it’s not gonna be that good. I just really like reincarnation stories so I’m making my own. I also really like the BnHA universe so I wanted to make story about that. Also, this is gonna be Boys Love.
