Mrs. Smith was such a noble lady she convinced me and jack about the my joining in the hospital. No sooner i and mrs. Smith built a good relation and forgot about the past also she, her husband, i and jack took some lunches and dinners together. From this times i got to know how wrongly i judged mrs. Smith she was just angry because of the useless investigation about sarah and not about Ainsley. One evening when we were together for dinner jack and mr. Smith was preparing dishes while i and mrs. Smith were standing in the balcony
"Jessica, listen you are like my daughter and i and mr. Smith really care for you. I don't want you to be in any mess, now you have a good job, caring boyfriend and us as your guardian, forget about Ainsley, Sarah and Rachael. I know its a bit tough but even i had to do it because we just can't take death people into life. It will be better if you live peacefully." She said while looking in the clouds.
"Don't worry i will be out of the mess as long as you three are with me." I said and i meant it. I almost forget about the deaths and suspense and after those mental sessions with mr. Smith i forgot it completely because he told me the right thing. From this way all were happy.

The first month after joining was just too good for all of us. I and jack were moving on from the shattering memories and nothing was ruining or eating my soul from inside, mr and mrs. Smith got us in the form of their children as they always says it. Summing up, We were all quite happy.
"Babe am off to work. See ya..!" I said to jack.
"Listen to me." He said.
"Yep" 
"My parents are coming to see you and to finalise our marriage date." He said "they will be here soon." 
I was panicked my heart was beating quite fast and due to the nervousness i just didn't replied and left the home with a blush. I was blushing as my boyfriend is going to turn into my husband, my love will turn into my soulmate what can be more happier than this?

       I drove the car to the hospital and it was in its vintage condition as always. I saw mr. Smith standing outside the hospital i took the steps forwards when he stopped me and asked about where mrs. Smith is!?
"I don't really know. I saw her last evening she was talking to someone." I said.
"Can you go to our home to check if she is there?" He requested.
"Am really sorry sir but i have sessions with some of my patients. So..." I said
"I am sorry but please just check out there she must be there. Please jessica." He said "i can't go as there is a meeting of mine. So please can you?" 
"Ok..ok i will check and wil inform you soon." I said and left the place.

I drove my car to mrs. Smith's home. Mr. Smith is a good man i have no problem in helping him as he was the one who made me realise that we don't need to stick with the past. They lost their own child but still he is moving on because its a rule of life. He is a man of his words and ofcourse he loves mrs. Smith just too much. I wish i and jack make as good couple as theirs...

My phone was ringing and it was mr. Jack who called me.
"Heya..!" I said.
"Where are you?" He asked and i told him about all the things.
"Oh! That's okay but come back soon. Mum-dad will be here in probably three hours." He said.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked with a proper red face.
"Jessica " he said after taking a deep breathe.
"What? Why are you taking my name like this?" I said
"Jessica." He said again
"Stop it jack. Tell me what?" I said with a giggle.
"I love you. Are you okay with all this?" He asked.
"With all this like what?" 
"Like calling my parents here." He said.
"Am just a bit nervous. Otherwise am just too happy and excited for our new future jack." I said.
"Am too. There will be no looking back." He said.
"Jack." I said with a deep breathe.
"Copycat." He said and we both laughed.
"Bye...i reacher her home let me check what is up here." I said.
"Don't hung up lets tell about this news to mrs. Smith." He said.
"Not a bad idea mr. Jack." I said and step out of the car.

I rang the bell but no one answered after some minutes i push the door and it was open already. The scenario i saw there, was heart shaking that i just screamed too loud.
"Jess...Are you okay? Jess say something." Jack said on the call.
"Jack." I screamed again.
"What tell me!" He said and before i say anything else to him i felt unconscious  and fell on the ground

There was a girl standing on the side of the road to wait for Red light to glow as she was a bit drunk
Though there was no traffic and on the road barely a few cars were passing ....
Earl was driving his black spots car on a nearly empty road with a gloomy face
"Why can't I get any new idea for a song.....aaaaarrrrrrrrggggggggg?"
Then suddenly the red light lit up and he stopped his car with a creech sound ...
he saw a drunk girl passing in front of him and singing with a very melodious voice..
but he wa sunable to see her face he just saw a grey cat in her hands her face was covered with black locks resembling a dark forest which reacher til her waist.
She was wearing a black sleeveless top with a white  high waist skirt and bracelet of rose gold with an initial of letter M.
As she was going her cat scratched it and it fell down but she didn't notice it as was drunk and buissy with her cat.
The green light lit up and she was on the other side walking towards a building.

But he got off the car and picked up the bracelet....then looking at it he smirked "I got it...."
Then he slipped it inside his pocket.
He returned in the car and started his engine with a roar and speeded off.

" I Will find you .....I definitely will.."
He got ready for his college and took his red Bugatti La Veyron and speed off.
When he reached his college he parked his car at his usual place and got off locking the car when he turned he saw the same black hair and heard that same voice from that day he was about to go to the girl but was stopped by a hand on his shoulder ...
"What are you watching man .... ??" 
"Uhm..ah nothing !!!"
" Let's go man the class will start in 10 minutes"
" Hmmm...you go am comming." 
Jack shrugged and said "onk" and headed towards his class ...
Earl turned to look for the girl but she was no where to be found.....then he thought ' though I missed to meet you today I will definitely find you' he was happy to know that the girl was in the same college as him.

A girl after breakup with her boyfriend is disheartened .....he was the one with whom I was supposed to perform.............
She finds a broken phone and this starts a new story of her life.

SHA OVERALL SUPERHUMAN ANALYSIS BOARD

As of January 22, 2018, the current power classifications of SHA still holds over all the Superhumans of Earth One.  No proposed changes have been offered by the board, making the current classification applicable until the end of year 2018.

2. MOVER TYPE – Refers to Superhumans with enhanced movement abilities. Includes flying, teleportation and super speed.


3. RANGER TYPE – Refers to Superhumans with abilities that can be used at a distance. Energy blasts and shooting weapons are under this type.

4. DOMAIN TYPE – Refers to Superhumans with abilities that can affect an area, whether the area is large or small. Also called AOE Type in casual talks. Abilities like sandstorm or earthquake manifestation are under this type.


5. SUMMONER TYPE – Refers to Superhuman with abilities that can summon living or non-living object from an unknown sources. The said summon can be under the control of the Summoner or had its own free will.

6. REACHER TYPE – Refers to Superhumans whose ability require close contact in order to work. All touch-based abilities are under this type.


7. CONTROLLER TYPE – Refers to Superhumans whose ability allows them to control living or non-living objects. 

8. SHIFTER TYPE – Refers to Superhumans who can change their body's appearance, composition, or content. Superhumans who can change their appearance and those that can assume elemental form are all under this type.


9. BUILDER TYPE – Refers to Superhumans that can build advanced technological constructs. Building robots, power suits, and weapons all follow the Builder Type.

10. MIND TYPE – Refers to Superhuman with mind-based abilities. Telepathy and future sight fall under this type.


11. POWER TYPE -  Refers to Superhumans that can manipulate Superhuman Powers in different ways. Nullifier, Enhancers, Power Copiers, and Power Givers all fall under this type.

12. RECON TYPE – Refers to Superhuman with abilities that allows them to spy or infiltrate places without catching attention. Invisibility and Attention Diversion fall under this type.


13. UNKOWN TYPE – Refers to Superhumans with abilities that are not under the first 12 classifications. Abilities like these are rare, although they must be treated with care.

All Superhuman Abilities are graded in different classes, with each class representing different levels of power.
The classes are as follows: Class F, Class E, Class D, Class C, Class B, Class A, Class S, Class SS, Class SSS, and Class Z.
Class F represent the weakest power while Class Z represent world-ending powers.
Class F - Class D Powers represent the level of powers that SHA Agents can deal with.

Heroes on the other hand will be needed starting from Class C-Class A Powers.

As for Class S – Class SSS Powers, only the powerful Heroes are allowed to tackle these classes.
As for Class Z Powers, only another Hero with Class Z Power can deal with it.

Detailed Report about a new Hero Team.

Approximately around 9 pm on January 22, 2018, a Hero Group known as Travelers appeared in a fight between the supervillain Glacia and new Hero called 'Signum'. 
The new Hero made quick work of the supervillain, with the said group leaving the area with Signum.
All the Mind Type SHA Agents have made an approximate report about the Traveler's and Signum's Power Classifications and Classes.

KHORA: Class S Ranger Type, and possible Class A Domain Type. Possesses the ability to project sword attacks at a distance, with these projected attacks seemingly stronger than the sword attack itself, hinting at a possible strength-enhancing ability. SHA Agents also determined that Khora has possible space manipulation abilities, hence the tentative Domain Type. If seen alone, do not engage unless necessary.

DRYAD: Class S Domain Type and Class A Controller Type. Possess the ability to induce massive levels of plant growth in a large area. Also has the ability to manipulate the said plants. A possible Metahuman with her green-skinned appearance. If seen alone, do not engage unless necessary.

SIGNUM: Class A Domain Type and Class A Reacher Type. Can create mathematical symbol stickers which she can sticks on an object in order for it to work. SHA Agents determined that the said sticker can somehow manipulate the chemical and physical properties of the object it was stuck to. More analysis is needed to identify the real power of the stickers. If seen alone, do not engage unless necessary.

ELDRITCH: Class S Ranger Type, Class A Shifter Type, and Class A Strongman Type. Has the ability to shift into a tentacle monster form with advanced durability. Also has the ability to shoot destructive blasts that gouged Glacia's armor. Not a Metahuman since the tentacle state is the result of shifting. If seen alone, do not engage unless necessary.


Overall assessment: 
The Travelers are tentatively pegged as a City-Level Team although power testing can change this Level, along with the power classes and classifications.

Chapter 21
    "Ray, hurry up!" Jessica said. "We're going to be late."
    "Jessica, the movie theater is right down the hallway. We're fine" I said.
    "Yea, but the movie starts at 11"
    "And it's 10:55. Calm down. There are also a bunch of previews before the movie starts."
    "Yea, but we have a full day of stuff to do."
    "I know. We can't control how long the movie is either. If we can't finish it today then we'll do it tomorrow. It's not like we have school. It's June 30th, remember?"
    She did not say anything after that. She walked back from her running lead and grabbed my hand tight and walked with me. I guess she understood. 
    We got to the movie theater and  bought the tickets. We were out pretty early than normal. Jessica had this whole day planned out for a week now. She emphasized it had to be this Friday for some reason. The first thing she did was make me breakfast when she woke up. She did that before, but this time she went all out. She made eggs, sausage, grits, pancakes, and waffles. Now we were at the movies to watch Jack Reacher, a movie I always wanted to see, but was too lazy to go.
    "2 tickets for Jack Reacher, please." I told the woman at the ticket counter.
    "Here you go. Enjoy." she said.
    "You want popcorn or anything?" I asked Jessica.
    "Whatever you want. Like I said you're not paying for anything today. I want to treat you." she said.
    "I told you I don't like it when girls treat me to things."
    "Shut up. What do you want?"
    "Just a small soda, Nestle Crunch, and small popcorn for us to share." 
    "You could have just said the usual."
    "The usual."
    Jessica rolled her eyes and went to go order the stuff. I really did not like her treating me to all this, but she was dead set on it so I might as well let her. When she was done we went to go find some seats. The movie has been out for a while so not many people were there. The seats up top were free so we sat there. 
    "This is going to be the best day ever." Jessica said. "Watch." Then she kissed me on the cheek and laid on my shoulder. The movie began and she stayed like that the whole time.

    "You liked it?" Jessica asked me as we left the movie theater.
    "It was better than I expected. And I expected it to be okay." I told her.
    "Nice. Glad you enjoyed it. What you want to do next?"
    "You're the head of this operation. You decide."
    She stood and thought about it. "Um. Are you hungry? We could do lunch?" Jessica finally said.
    "Yea. I could use some lunch."
    "Then it's settled. Where you want to go?"
    "To save time we could eat her in the mall. Let's go to the food court."
    "That's not romantic at all."
    "So. I'm with you. I'm happy." I kissed her.
    "Fine."she smiled. "Let's go."
    "We went up into the mall. The food court was huge so there were a lot of options. We walked around for a few minutes and  made my decision. 
    "I want Japanese." I said to her.
    "I never did give you Japanese food yet. I like the idea." Jessica said and went to the stand to order. "I'm going to order our whole lunch. You won't be disappointed."
    After that she ordered our food. The only thing was she said everything in Japanese. I had  no idea what she ordered. Then while we waited she had a full conversation with the woman working there. I only caught on to a couple of words because of the anime I watch. I believe they were discussing where they were from because I heard Jessica say something about Tokyo. In the end I had no idea.
    "Aye. Arigatou, Hansee-chan" Jessica said as the woman handed her two bags. "You ready for this? She makes authentic Japanese food."
    "That's what you two was talking about?" I asked.
    "That and how her kids were doing in Japan. We talked before."
    "Oh. That explains why you said 'chan'."
    "So you do know some Japanese."
    "Yeah. I want to learn, but that might take years. Maybe you could teach me some in these last few months."
    "There is a table. Let's go eat." She said completely ignoring me. 
    We sat at a table in the corner. I  opened my bag. It was rice, a seaweed looking thing in soy sauce and some type of meat.
    "What is this?" I asked Jessica.
    "It's fried fish with rice and seaweed duck sauce. My mom makes this sometimes. It's really good. Try it."
    I tried the most skeptical thing first. I took the fork and took the seaweed.
    "Eat it with the rice. It's better like that." Jessica said before I ate.
    I did just that. I trust her. I took my first bite. It was really good. The seaweed was dry, but the duck sauce made it moist and gave it a sweet taste to it. I took a piece of the fish. It was different from any other fried fish I had. It was better.
    "Wow. This is amazing." I said.
    "I knew you would like it." Jessica said after she swallowed her mouth full. "People think Japanese just eat ramen all day."
    "You do." I laughed.
    "Shut up, idiot."
    I did. I finished my whole lunch in six minutes. Jessica finished soon after. 
    "That was wonderful." Jessica said. "Good choice for lunch."
    "For some reason I think you would have chosen the same place."
    "Maybe." she smiled. I know her.
    "So, beautiful. Where we going now?"
    "That is a surprise. Let's go."
    As we walked to the entrance Jessica called a cab. What was she up to now?
    We sat on the bench to wait. The whole time we talked. For some reason she seemed distracted. She kept looking at her phone for text messages and the time. She kept tapping her foot. She seemed very impatient today. Finally the cab showed up twenty minutes later.
    I got in first. Jessica walked over to the driver. She then whispered something in his ear.  I assumed the place we were going. She went to the back and sat next to me smiling.
    "Is it that serious?" I said.
    "Yes it is. Just sit back and relax, Sweetie." she responded.
    "Not in public, Jessica." I said under my breath embarrassed.  She just laughed.

    "So this is why you said dress casual." I said to her as I looked at the place we arrived to.
    "Yep." she said. "You like the surprise?"
    "I love the surprise. Six Flags. Damn."
    "That's not all." She pulled two flash passes out of her pocket. "I got these too."
    "I love you so much."
    "I know. Let's get started.  It's 3:30. We are here until 7. We have to go back to the house to change."
    "Let me guess. Dinner. Where? Wait, it's a surprise, huh?"
    "If you know that then let's get started." she said and dragged me along and into the entrance. She's gone all out for this day.

    By time I noticed it was already 6:30. The time in the park went fast even with the flash passes. Right now Jessica was currently in the bathroom. I waited on a bench outside. I saw a cotton candy stand so I bought one for us to share when she got out. The whole time there was great. We manage to go on every ride. Some we did twice. We did bumper karts, laser tag, and much more. We did basically everything except water rides. 
    Except for one…which was why Jessica was in the bathroom. I had on waterproof shorts so I was fine. She was not as lucky. 
    She came out of the bathroom a few minutes later with a park bought shirt on. She still had on the shorts. Her wet shirt was in a bag. 
    "You're cruel!" she said. 
    "I said you did not have to go on." I said. I was laughing the whole time.
    "You said I was not going to get wet!" 
    "I did? I thought I said you were going to get really wet. My bad."
    "I hate you." she said as she hit me. 
    "I'm sorry, Jessica. Here." I handed her the cotton candy.
    "I said not to buy anything."
    "It's just cotton candy. I  know you love it. C'mon. smile!"
    She did. "You lucky you're cute." She took the cotton candy and took a piece. "I called a cab while I was in there."
    "Back to the house?"
    "Yep."
    "Thank you for this. The day."
    "Don't thank me yet. The day is not over." She sounded more disappointed than happy. At least to me.
    We walked back to the entrance. We did not have to wait long for the taxi this time. It only took ten to fifteen minutes. We both got in the back this time. She told the driver where to go and collapsed on my shoulder. She was exhausted.
    "We don't have to do anymore today." I said. "I had a great time. You did enough."
    "No. We are finishing this day, Ray. I'm just going to rest a bit now. I'm fine." she said.
    This day was really important to her it seems. I still did not know why. We had two more months to do this. She's trying to do it in one day. 
    "Alright. Whatever you want." I said. She was already asleep. I kissed her forehead and we drove.

    About forty five minutes later we arrived back at the house. I woke her up. She immediately looked at her phone. It was 7:40. It was dark out.
    We got out and she paid the guy.
    "Okay. We have about an hour or so to get ready. I'll take a shower first." Jessica said as she went into the house.
    "Where are we going?" I asked again as  I followed her in. 
    "You know I'm not saying. Just dress in something formal. Shoes, slacks, button up, and a tie is optional." She took off up stairs. 
    My parents were not home. They told me they went to go see Grandma. I usually go, but they knew about the day Jessica had planned for us. They said they were going to be back tomorrow. When I did not know.
    I honestly did not know they were going to be so cool with Jessica and I dating. We told them a week after we were together. I think they already knew though. My mom said she expected that to happen from the start. I guess that would make sense. 
    I heard the shower come on. She did that pretty fast. I turned the TV on and waited until she was done. I wonder what else she had in store for me today.
    
    It was 9:25. The cab just pulled up to the restaurant. The place she chose was Rome's Palace. One of the most expensive restaurants in the city, no, the State of New Jersey. I looked down at what I was wearing. I had shoes, black pants, white button up, no tie. I started to think I under-dressed for the occasion. Jessica said I was fine. I doubt that.
    Jessica on the other hand looked gorgeous. She cleaned up well in an hour. She wore a strapless red dress that was not tight, but showed her curves. She also wore three inch black heels. She also had on just the right amount of makeup. Her hair was the same, but different at the same time. I was not used to seeing her like this, but she was stunning. 
    "Maybe I should have grabbed that tie." I said as we went into the restaurant. The inside was just as grand as the inside. It was covered in red velvet, dimly lit, the tables and chairs were golden. There was a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. This place was enormous, but not many people were there.
    "I told you that you look fine." She told me. "Reservations for two. Kim and Randel" She told the maitre d.
    "Ah, Ms. Kim. Right this way." the man said. 
    We did not go into the dining hall. We went up the steps. There was a series of rooms in a long hallway. We stopped at an open door. A table was set up with candles. There was a fish tank with tropical fish swimming. 
    "As requested, your private room." said the maitre d.
    "Thank you." I said. Not really knowing what to say. 
    "He gave a head bow. "Your waiter will be with you shortly." Then he left and closed the door behind him.
    "A private room?" I said. "How did you afford this?"
    "It was only twenty dollars more. I know you don't like people around either. Do you like it?" Jessica asked.
    "I like it a lot. It's beautiful. You're beautiful, but why?"
    "I told you that this is a special day. Enjoy it."
    I went over and pulled her chair out for her and she sat.
    "What a gentleman." she joked.
    "I still got my manners even though you're treating me to this like a child." I said.
    "You are still sour about that. A woman could buy things too, macho man. Just enjoy it and let it happen."
    Moments later the waiter came through a door from the back. 
    "I'm Ben. I'll be your personal waiter this evening." He said then handed us menus. "I'll be back soon." He walked out.
    Jessica and I looked through the menus for a couple minutes. Jessica put hers down.
    "I ordered lunch for us. You could do dinner." she said. 
    "Thanks for the pressure, baby." I said.
    "No problem." she smiled. 
    I looked through the menu some more. Ben came back wanting the order moments later.
    "You're ready, sir?" Ben asked.
    "Yes. We both will have the caesar salad for an appetizer. The main course will be the prime rib dinner, medium on the rib, and dessert the Lemon meringue pie. A Sprite for me and Grape juice, for the lady."
    "Yessir. We'll have your salads momentarily." He left out with the menu.
    "Wow." Jessica said. "I did not expect you to have all three courses ordered. Impressive."
    "Yea. I knew you like similar things to me. Do you like the order?" I asked. I really wasn't sure.
    "I'm perfectly fine with it. I was thinking the same thing really."
    "Don't just say that."
    "I wouldn't." she smiled. "I'm telling the truth."
    A few minutes later Ben returned with two salads. Our dinner began.

    The whole dinner was wonderful. From the salad to the pie. The main course consisted of 2 prime ribs, mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed broccoli, and cornbread, but not the one I'm use to. The pie was wonderful. That came with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. After the dinner I was stuffed. I could barely move.
    "Did you enjoy your meal?" Ben asked as he returned after dessert. 
    "Yes, Ben, we did." I said.
    "It was marvelous." Jessica said.
    "Here is your bill, sir."
    "Nope I'm treating." Jessiaca said. "Here." she pulled her card out of her purse and handed it to him without looking at the bill.
    "Thank you ma'am." He left out with the card.
    "You don't need to see the bill?" I asked. 
    "I got enough no matter the price." she said. "The whole point is that you're happy."
    Ben came back quick. He handed Jessica her card back.
    "Thank you both for eating here. Have a nice night." He said and walked back to the back. Jessica pulled out a twenty and put it in the middle of the table.
    "Are you ready to go?" she asked.
    "Our nights not over?" I responded.
    "We're headed back to the house, but no the night is not over yet."
    I looked at my phone. It was already 11:30? What else had she planned? 
    We left the restaurant and she called a cab for the last time. 
    "You're still not tired?"  I asked her.
    "No. I rested enough on your shoulder. Are you tired?" 
    "No I'm fine surprisingly."
    "Good. You might just need that energy." she smiled. What did she mean by that?
    A few minutes later the cab pulled up. At 12:10 we arrived home for the rest of the night. I was intrigued about what was about to happen next.

    I went into the living room. Jessica went upstairs. She said she had to go get something. I turned on the TV just for light though. I did not care what was on and I did not want to turn on the living room light because that was too bright. I rarely turn that on. I sat on the couch and waited for Jessica. A minute later she came from around the corner with something in her hand.
    "Here. I got you a gift." she said.
    "What is it?" I asked.
    "Open it, smart one."
    I took the gift. It was a box or something. I opened it. It was the complete first season Naruto. I wanted this for a while now.
    "You are the greatest girlfriend ever! I love you so much. Thank you." I hugged her.
    "I know. You're welcome, Ray."
    "I've been wondering all day though. Why? You had to spend like a thousand dollars today. We did so much. Why today? We still got two months left, but you are acting like…" Then it hit me. And the look on her face kind of confirmed it. "Don't tell me…'
    "I'm leaving tomorrow Or today seeing the time." she said. "That's why. Surprised you did not realize it earlier."
    I was shocked. "What the hell! Tomorrow? Why? This makes no sense."
    "I'm sorry. My father is ill. It's kinda bad. My mom wants me to come home and help take care of him and the company. I was supposed to leave before school was over, but I begged her to stay to finish school. I also wanted to stay with you.     "I guess my parents know."
    "Yes they do. They're not at your grandma's house either. I paid for a hotel for them for the night. Oh yea, my mom sent me money. I wanted to spend my last day here with you. Just you." 
    I heard everything she said. I understood. That still did not hold back the tears. I knew this was going to happen.
    "I'm sorry for your father, but do you have to go?" I asked
    "Family orders. I have to go tomorrow. I'm hurting just as much as you, but I expected it."
    "Well I didn't! This is why I did not want to get into this. I knew I was going to feel like this.  I was prepared to let you go, but not this early. I love you so much."
    "I love you too.  That's why" Jessica came over and wiped my tears away. Then she kissed me. It was different from any other kiss though. It had way more passion in it. 
    "Tonight. I want to have sex with you." she said.
    "But…" I started
    'I don't know when I'm going to see you again. And I want no regrets. I want this. Please!"
    " I don't know. I don't even have a condom."
    "I told you." She pulled a condom out of her purse and threw the purse behind her. "I have everything planned."

Adam hesitated seeing Mike's current state, but decided that he would tell everything in advance because he didn't want Mike to feel deceived later. It's better to shove everything to Mike so he could deal with it at once. 
"And Mike, there's one more thing you need to know. The worse you are in this world, the better it will be for Michael. I believe that whenever he used your body in the past, it would be to make your life worse. To ruin your life. And his people, perhaps they also make your life miserable in some ways because that would keep Michael at his best."
People gasped once Adam finished talking. Then silence.
Mike became the focus of everyone as he clenched his teeth and shivering from rage. He was preoccupied with his own memories.
'It couldn't be, could it?' he questioned in his mind. There's a dark memory that kept popping out in his mind and if it happened because of Michael, he'd swear he'd do anything to make Michael's life miserable.
Mike tried to calm himself by slowing down his breathing but he still couldn't contain his anger. 
'He has beautiful life! He has great future! Why couldn't he leave me alone?!'
Suddenly, Adam grabbed Mike's arms and shook him. It finally brought the focus in Mike's eyes back.
"Even though I can't understand your feeling right now, I know you are angry. You probably resent and blame him. But that's exactly why you need to pull yourself together, Mike," Adam asserted. "The situation is different now. You're not in the dark anymore. You can do something to change it and we'll make him pay, alright?"
Mike finally calmed down. "Okay," he said weakly.
Adam let Mike go and faced the other people. "After Nicholas and I left, when the real Nick and Adam wake up, you need to explain it properly to them. I think you don't really need to convince Nick, but this Adam is different."
Once again Adam pointed out the things they needed to do next. Well, they were too shocked to think anyway, so they listened and obeyed.
"He hasn't seen you guys and he didn't know you before. He also has no business with this situation. He is a selfish guy so he probably won't care and choose to leave instead. But you need to convince him to stay. The first reason is because we need each other. It will be easier for me if you stick together. But most importantly, this guy has a lot of resources in this world and it will be really helpful for us," Adam explained.
"Who is he, by the way?" Brody asked.
"You probably heard his name before. He's Adam Reacher."
"T-the Adam Reacher?" Rachel stuttered.
Adam nodded and everyone was dumbfounded. Even Adam was surprised about this guy's life when he found out the first time. He's not as great as Michael but he's also standing at the top of the pyramid.
"He's the reason it's easy for me to get your information," Adam made light comment.
Compared to O'Reilly family, Reacher family was in another level all together. They became the top because of their accumulated wealth. They were a family with long history and everyone respected them, even the politician.
The Reacher family itself never joined the politics. They focused themselves in business and grew into a tyrant in business, especially the youngest generation.
The name was Adam Reacher. He's the youngest son and had a brilliant mind for business. He brought his family empire into another level by himself.
But no one ever saw him. No journalist managed to get his photo. Even if they did, they wouldn't be able to publish it.
And now that very same mysterious person was standing in front of them. Not that he's the real Adam Reacher, but it's still his flesh.
"So now you know that it's not gonna be easy to convince that guy to help. But if you did, he'd be a great help," Adam casually added.
"Won't he thought we kidnapped him or something?" Brad said half jokingly.
"About that…" Adam took out a phone from his pocket. "I already recorded a video of myself here. Just tell him to check later. But whether he'll stay or not, that's on you."
"It's about time," Nicholas suddenly spoke. Adam looked at him and nodded.
"Alright. That's all I can tell you tonight. We'll see you again tomorrow."
"Wait, wait, wait. Just like that? Can't you stay for a bit longer?" Brody stopped them. He felt like it would all feel like a dream if they were gone just like that.
"It's better if we leave sooner. Besides, I already told you the most important information. Just let them all sink in, will you?" Adam responded. Everyone hesitantly nodded so he continued, "And always have someone stand guard. Oh, when someone wakes up, remember to make sure who they are first. We'll take the bed for now."
Adam and Nicholas made themselves comfortable and closed their eyes without waiting for anyone's response. Soon, they were asleep and the four in the room could only watch.
After a few moments of silence, Brody broke the ice, "Is it all real?"
"Well, they are there," Brad responded.
"Can you really believe it? What if they were just deceiving us? What if it was all just an act?" Brody sounded more anxious.
"But, Nick really couldn't possibly kill Mike. He's a nice guy and a great policeman," Rachel commented.
"What about him?" Brad pointed at Adam. "Is he really Adam Reacher? Is it alright for him to be here?"
No one talking anymore. They were still looking at the peaceful looking guys on the beds.
"Let's just rest. We need it. Tomorrow will be another long day," Mike suggested and the three awake people stared at him.
"Y-yes. Let's rest. You need to rest. We'll talk about it again tomorrow," Rachel sounded too excited even for herself.
"Ah, what about the bed? Should we book another room?" Brody proposed.
"That's great. We all need a good night sleep," Rachel agreed.
"I'll watch over these two. Brody will watch over you two," Brad volunteered to stay in the room.
"No," Mike stopped them. "We also need to watch over each other in case someone falls asleep. Just stay in this room. Each bed was big enough for two people anyway."
"Okay, let'd do it that way. My brother and I will stand guard tonight," Brody didn't put out an argument. "You should sleep first. It's been hard on you," he added.
Mike only nodded and say thanks. 
"Ah, I'm familiar with Nick, I'll sleep with him," Rachel also agreed but she suddenly blushed over what she said. She remembered how the other Rachel was Nicholas' fiancee and she didn't really know what to do about Nick. Fortunately, no one paid attention to her redden face. 
Mike pushed Adam to the side of the bed and took his position. But he suddenly stopped and faced Brody. "Handcuff me."
"W-what?" Brody wasn't sure of what he heard.
Mike repeated, "Handcuff me. In case that guy uses my body again… Seeing Derek, I mean the other Derek's skill, he wouldn't be much worse."

The tailcoat wearing man was clearly running on fumes.

His sword was chipped. His clothes all but destroyed.

The sharp face on him strikingly pale, his body matted with sweat.

It shouldn't have been that hard to knock him out. But, he still kept fighting, his eyes burned with fire, his emotions bare for all to see. Rage, hatred, wrath, disgust, and more. All these emotions bordering near the influence of Chaos. That of which is being kept at bay by his sense of justice.

The man would die if he kept on pushing himself. He was at the point where fighting was consuming his life force. He still had some sense left in him. Never moving past a point where he cannot defend the woman behind him, the man kept himself planted, only defending, and counterattacking when he can. He is fighting only with pure bestial instinct. 

Looking at the scene in front of him, Curtis couldn't help but feel respect for the man. Even in his direst, even when his mind was almost consumed by his inner beast, he still protected those who needed it. This is a testament to how much he values the people around him, and it shows how much valor he had ingrained in his bones.

But, it was clear now that no matter how long they fought, the other party wouldn't gain clarity that way. It would only serve to harm him. If he let it continue, his bestial instinct will forgo any thought to defend, sacrificing everything and go for the kill, if the chance had presented itself. And right now, Curtis too was starting to lose his strength.

"I'm sorry friend. But this is the end, If I don't stop you here, you will kill yourself."

Focusing his mind, he reached out for one of the techniques he learned from the giant. It was a complex technique, one that took him almost 3 years to be able to perform. It was the skill that was performed onto him by Hjilmar when he first arrived in Candelabra. Curtis dug deep inside him. Soul Reacher. That was the name of the technique, it was usually performed on people who've gone rabid with the influence of Chaos, but it can be used on people with weak wills and interrogate them. 

Hjilmar had taught it to him when he had tagged along on an interrogation of a fallen commander. It was a rather fickle feeling, seeing a technique that was performed on you, done onto other people. 

The commander had gone rogue. In time, an attack had happened on one of their stronger outposts. The troops stationed there suffered significant losses, information that should have been privy only to the top brass had been leaked.
The technique was done by focusing on your will, spirit, or soul if you want to call it that way and force it onto the other party. With your soul, you would pit your will against theirs, and fight for control, and the winner would gain access to the other party's soul.

After the investigation, the commander had been locked up. In the debriefing, after he had witnessed the number of troops that chaos had, he had lost all hope in their victory and advocated for people to join him in exploring other ways to end the war, and so he had gone over to the other side. Chaos preyed on the weak-willed, they took over the unsuspecting and makes them do their bidding.

When the council was notified of the betrayal, they sought out the giant himself to perform an interrogation of the former commander. He brought Curtis along and performed his signature skill, Soul Reacher. A complex technique that brings those infected with Chaos to clarity for a short period of time. In that span of moments, the user would then be able to communicate with the other party's soul and conduct an investigation on the matters at hand.

It would allow them to see through their eyes and vice versa, he could also find out what had happened and then be able to converse with the other party untainted by all worldly matters. Meaning that in that short period of time, they would be free from Chaos' claws.

But, with Curtis' situation, the man was rabid, bestial instinct had taken over. He had a chance to perform the skill if he was able to bind the man. And during that window, perform the skill and let the man see through his eyes what had happened. 

It was a risk, but it was a risk Curtis was willing to take. The man was an ability user, each one was valuable in the fight against Chaos. After fighting the man he couldn't even feel any hint of Chaos from him, Curtis even felt the Disgust the man held against it. And so he would at the very least try to save him. The gods wouldn't be able to blame him if he tried. Right?

Curtis had tried beating some sense into him. But, it didn't work, this was going to be his last try in trying to save him. And with a plan in mind, Curtis put it into action.

With a grunt, Curtis released his Ice. it spread out from his feet, chilling everything within 10 meters from him. He focused his intent onto the scrawny man in front of him. When the wave of cold hit the man, he roared. Even in his state, he knew what Curtis was trying to do. Curtis charged as the scrawny man did the same. But, with the cold affecting him, his movement speed dragged. 

Curtis moved fast, within the cold he moved faster than before. And with his ice affecting the man, he had lagged. It wasn't a fair fight to begin with. The man was not thinking straight, all strategy had been thrown out the window. With a few faints, it allowed Curtis to get behind him, and before he could release his lightning, Curtis pinned him down.

Within a heartbeat, Curtis released his will. His eyes glowed while he forced his will onto the man.

Curtis felt the man's pain. His sorrow in seeing the town he had grown up in, turned into rubble. Corpses of people he had known since they were children, strewn about like garbage. And seeing the woman he loved, collapsed. 

He worked together with the two, Clara and Dean. They were his childhood friends, together they had awoken their abilities when Chaos had come knocking, and together they had knocked them back.

Seeing the man's whole life flash into his mind was a surreal feeling.

He felt the boy's joy when he found people to play with.

He felt the teenager's affection when he began to learn what is love.

He felt the man's sorrow when his best friend had confessed to the woman he loves.

He felt the man's grief when he had been asked to be the best man at their wedding.

He felt the man's heartbreak when they got married.

He smiled outwardly, but inside he was screaming. He knew it was his mistake, he wasn't forthcoming enough. He didn't give voice to his feelings, he had just bottled them all up.

Fast forward to today's attack.

Silva had received a report that there was a small village up north that was being attacked by Chaos, their protector was trapped, and so no one was defending the village.

When he arrived, he knew there was something amiss, the village was deserted, he couldn't hear anything from the homes that stood there. Everything had gone silent.

When he went to investigate, he was greeted by the town's protector, an ability user that had an affinity to earth like Dean. The moment they had met, the earth rose up to surround the town forming a dome. From underneath the earth, hundreds of Chaos-spawn had emerged. It was a trap. The town had already been under Chaos' influence. And now, he was besieged from all sides.

So much death had surrounded him by the time he was free, but it was not the end of it. With him here, there was no doubt that his home was also under attack. And so he rushed home. On the way, he saw trebuchets launching attacks from afar onto his home.

And so he destroyed them.

He saw death and misery plaguing his home.

Corpses littering the whole town.

The town he had grown up in, burnt to the ground.

And his childhood love collapsed onto the ground.

In front of him, an unfamiliar face, drenched in blood.

And so he lost it.

Finishing the recount of the man known as Silva, Curtis then tuned out all the rage he was feeling. He spoke to the man's soul.

"Silva, stop!" Curtis commanded, felt the man's soul shudder. 

"Who are you?" Silva asked finally coming back to his senses.

"Let me show you," Curtis answered, finally revealing all that had transpired to him. From the moment he had left the boat, up to his fight with the forces of Chaos, Silva stood frozen, viewing his memories from the fight.

Doubt emanated from the man's soul, he couldn't just believe everything he was being shown. It was a noble decision. But, Curtis didn't have time to argue, he forced his truth onto the man. Letting him see it, again and again until he believed him.

Grief flooded Silva's soul. He had finally come to his senses, no longer controlled by his emotions. Curtis was relieved, the fight was over, he had at least prevented this man's death. One more soldier for the fight against Chaos.

Curtis disengaged the Soul Reacher. The man stood up hastily, ignoring Curtis, he went over to the woman, Clara's side. To his relief she was still breathing, she was weak yes, but, still alive.

"Move it Silva, we need to talk."

Anne, who was almost angry at first, immediately calmed down when she heard the voice she knew so well.  
"Get out Jack, where are you!!" Said Anne curtly.
"Hahahahaha how do you know that it was me, Anne?" Jack asked, laughing and came out of his hiding place behind five large men who stood covering him, who were sitting.
"I know you not only for a day or two Jack, I've memorized this ugly voice," replied Anne curtly, folding her arms across her chest.
"Alright, let's go into the shop, today I come as a customer, not a bully." Jack said quietly, asking Anne to enter the shop.
"How can I get into a shop if you guys block the entrance like that?" Asked Anne coldly.
Instantly Jack tapped the shoulders of some of his men to get away from in front of them so that Anne could enter the shop. After Jack's bodyguards stepped aside, Anne opened her shop quickly.  
"Before you get in, please order one of your bodyguards to call Linda in the car, she was scared after seeing your guards standing earlier." said Anne quietly as she glanced at her car which was parked not far in front of the shop.
"I understand." Jack replied quickly.
After saying that, Anne then went into the shop and turned on the lights. Meanwhile Jack ordered one of his men to come to Linda in the car to be invited into the shop. At first, Linda was very afraid of the man who suddenly knocked on the door of the car, but after being given an explanation, Linda finally understood. She then got out of the car and walked quickly to the shop leaving the man who had just called her. Linda even went straight into the shop without greeting Jack, who was standing at the door.
"Who are they, Anne?" Linda asked in a whisper.
"Jack and his friends," answered Anne shortly.
"Who's Jack?" Linda asked back.
"That guy who was standing at the door. Jack is an old friend," replied Anne again.
"Oh I see, then what do they want here, Anne?" Linda investigated curiously.
Because Linda spoke loudly enough, Jack and her men could hear what she said to Anne. Jack slowly walked over to Linda and Anne who were at the cash register.  
"Are you Anne's college friend?" Asked Jack suddenly, as he was standing at the cashier counter.
"Y-yes, I'm Anne's college friend. We sit side by side in class," Linda replied stammering. She was shocked when she saw Jack suddenly standing beside her.
"Good, that means you can be relied on," said Jack briefly.
"What do you mean reliable?" Asked Linda curiously.
"It's nothing, Miss. Please quickly get my previous order, Anne," Jack asked quickly, staring at the white roses in one of the large vases.
"Order? What did you order?" Asked Anne, confused.
Instead of answering Anne's question, Jack actually took out his cell phone and played his fingers on his cell phone screen. A few seconds later, Anne's cell phone in the bag rang loud enough that she had to pick up the cell phone. Instantly her eyes narrowed when she saw that an anonymous number was calling her. Out of curiosity, Anne accepted the incoming call and brought her cell phone to her ear.
"Hello ..."
"Yes hello Anne, should we talk using cell phones like this when we are in the same room?" Jack replied quickly to ask Anne without pause.
Thump!
Anne immediately turned to Jack when she heard Jack's voice on her cell phone.  
"Is this you Jack?" Asked Anne stupidly.
"Yes, it's me." Jack replied quickly on his cell phone back.  
When Jack spoke like that, Anne could automatically hear Jack's voice on her cell phone, which was still on her ear.
"How did you get my cell phone number, Jack?" Asked Anne, confused.
"Don't ask me how, the important thing is that right now you have to serve your customers. Look at the incoming messages on your cell phone, see what message your new customer sent." Jack replied, changing the conversation.
Without speaking, Anne then hung up the incoming call from Jack and saw the incoming message. Immediately her eyes were perfectly rounded when she read the message from Jack.
"Are you kidding me?!!" screamed Anne, startled.
"Of course not, hurry up. I came here for my order, Anne, I'll give you twenty minutes to prepare them," said Jack softly without guilt.
"Twenty minutes? No way!!! Your order is too many, Jack," said Anne loudly.
"So you should start working, the longer you start, the longer they will finish." Jack replied casually, as he walked to the refrigerator which had a lot of cold drinks in it. Without hesitation, Jack opened the refrigerator and reached for a bottle of cold mineral water then drank it.  
Anne, who was still shocked because she didn't expect that Jack could have her cell phone number, was still standing doing nothing. She stared at Jack without blinking. She still didn't understand how Jack knew her cell phone number, because so far she hadn't felt like giving her cell phone number to another man after Aaron.
"If you keep on standing like that, then my order won't be ready in an hour, Anne," Jack said quietly, glaring at Anne, who was staring at him without blinking.
"Agghh yes ... wait, I'll prepare them," Anne shouted and startled when she woke up from her reverie.  
After saying that, Anne prepared Jack's order. Linda, who didn't know how to arrange flowers, could only remain silent and just stood by the cashier table, watching Anne running around choosing the best flowers to arrange according to Jack's request. Jack had ordered ten bouquets of roses containing fifty roses each. He only wanted the best red roses for his bouquets. That made Anne work extra hard in choosing the roses in her shop, because roses were the best-selling flowers and Anne's stock was running low. That was why she had to mix it with other roses in order for the flower bouquets look beautiful.  
"I'll mix them with white roses, okay? My stock of red roses runs out, Jack." said Anne quietly.
"Okay, but remember Anne I still want the red roses to dominate," replied Jack briefly.
"I know, you take it easy," Anne replied quickly. She then returned to focus on her flower bouquet again.  
From his seat, Jack smiled as he watched Anne work. Seeing her so focused like that made him feel calm. Not long after, the ten bouquets containing ten red roses were finished. Anne looked very tired working alone. Actually Linda had offered to help her, but she refused. She knew that Linda couldn't arrange flowers yet, so she forbade Linda to touch the flowers she was arranging. She didn't want her work to be damaged by Linda and she doesn't want to work twice, especially when Jack only gave her such a short time.

Jack applauded when he saw the ten bouquets of roses arranged by Anne neatly in front of his eyes. He was amazed at Anne, who was able to finish the bouquets quickly without anyone's help.
"You are amazing, Anne," Jack said quietly, praising her.
"Of course I'm great. If not, how could you come to my shop and make troubles like this, Jack?" replied Anne curtly, as she wiped the sweat that covered her face.
"Hahahaha, don't be too fierce, Miss, I really need these flowers. You know, today my office starts operating in London. That's why I ordered flowers from you. I want my new office to be fresh and smell good with these roses. Why did I order from you? It's a cliché, Anne, help your friend's business before you help someone else's business. For that reason, I came to you. Aren't I helping your business like this, Anne?" replied Jack at length trying to explain to Anne the reason for his order.
Anne could only stay silent when she heard Jack's words, because what Jack said was actually the words she had previously spoken to Jack one year ago when they were still at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Back then, Anne had chosen to buy paper cups for her coffees from one of her apartment friends who produced cups for coffee. Jack had asked Anne to buy somewhere else with the same quality at a lower price. But Anne said she preferred to buy things from her close friends, because with that she can help her friend run their business, and now, Jack gave her the same reason to herself. That was why Anne didn't reply to his words.  
"Don't you agree with what I'm saying, Anne?" Jack asked again to break Anne's reverie.  
"Y-yes, you're right, of course you're right," answered Anne stuttered.
Jack chuckled when he saw Anne became so awkward like that. Soon Jack ordered his bodyguards to bring the bouquets into the car. When all the flower bouquets had been moved to Jack's car, he took out his wallet from his coat pocket and took out ten hundred dollar bills which he placed on the counter where Linda was sitting.
"Sir, but this is too much," said Linda, surprised, even though she was new at the shop, but Linda already knew the prices of the flowers Anne was selling, including the rose bouquets that Anne had previously arranged.
"It's okay, Miss, just think of it as extra money because of this special service I received. I'm being served directly by the owner," Jack replied back, glancing at Anne.
Hearing Jack's words immediately made Anne's face red. She felt hot even though the AC in the shop was very cold. Jack, who noticed the change in Anne's face, only smiled faintly, and soon he said goodbye as he had to return to his new office.  
"Ah, why is the air conditioner in this shop not working? Why is it so hot in the shop?" said Anne loudly, fanning her face with her hands.
"What's hot? it's cold, Anne. You're weird," Linda said in confusion.
