A/N: It's been so long since I wrote (talking bout 2 months break) that I forgot a lot of the plot points. I need to go back and read my own novel lol.

I sorted out everything I needed to with all the staying scientist and technicians. I uploaded all necessary scientific knowledge and all the mandatory information about every usable piece of pieces of equipment into their minds.

They will all start working in a month. By that time all the construction for the other facilities should be complete as well. 

As everyone was leaving Edna Luthor called out to me. It's pretty weird considering everything.

First, she is a Luthor and Superman always goes on about "never met a Luthor he could trust" but I am not going to judge a person just based on their name when I don't even know anything about them

Second, she is a female scientist and in this era, they are very scarce but that could be explained by the backing she has behind her name. 


She came up to me with a bright smile saying, "Mr. Dante. Can I have a word with you?"

I'm curious though, where could this be going? Maybe she could be as wretched if not more than her descendant Lex Luthor or maybe she is a decently okay person. Maybe she is in a gray area.

"Please if you want me to call you Edna then call me Krius," I reply back with the same kind of smile.

"All right Krius then. Do you mind if I invite you for dinner?"

So dinner huh? Is this a genuine dinner or something else? Well whatever, I will go along with it.

"Hmmm, Shouldn't I be the one asking such a beautiful lady out to dinner?" I ask with curiosity in my eyes.

"Then how about next you be the one to invite me." With a mischievous smile, she answers.

"Next time? I see, then next time I will definitely be the one to ask you out." I say with a grin.

She answered while covering her mouth and giggling, "How about we settle the first time for now? So will you? I actually want to talk to you about everything you are doing here. My family is a really big name in the world of science so I would like to talk about a joint partnership maybe?"

"Well, then how could I refuse an invitation from someone beautiful as you? Just say when and where."

"Thank you for agreeing. Here this is the address. How about next Saturday?" She hands me a piece of paper with the address written on it while not taking my compliment seriously.

"No problem, I wouldn't miss it." I took the piece of paper from her and glanced over it before putting it in my pocket.

"I should get going then. It has already been very long." She says while turning to leave.

"Then allow me to see you out."

"No no, it is all right. I wouldn't want to trouble you." She tries to refuse my offer nodding her head.

"That's okay, I don't mind." I insist upon it so she gives up quickly.

I escort Edna out of the facility and say our goodbyes. I know messing with Lex Luthor's ancestor isn't a very good idea but I'm actually very curious as to what can actually happen. This is messing with history and initially I didn't want to but maybe I can change it for the better while still controlling the outcomes.

For now, I just wanna go home. I'm mentally exhausted from doing all this. I have to take Diana back to Themyscara the day after tomorrow. Imma goes and gets some sleep.


● - A day later - Themyscara - ○

"So you finally decided to remember us." 

I teleported directly to the throne room in Themyscara where Hippolyta was sitting on her majestic throne. At this time there was no one else besides her and us in the room.

She wasn't even surprised to see us appear and fired off that sarcastic remark.

"Mother!!" Diana being astounded runs up to Hippolyta as she gets up from her throne and walks down. They both embrace each other in a hug for a while until finally separating. 

"Have you been well?" Hippolyta asks as she caresses Diana's face.

"Don't worry Mother, nothing happened. It has been really fun in the outside world." Diana says placing her hand on top of Hippolyta's.

"Then you will have to tell me all about it later. For now, go and get refreshed. I want to have a word with Krius here." Hippolyta tells Diana seriously.

Diana doesn't say anything and nods before going away. Hippolyta slowly turns to look at me with cold eyes. I stare back at her with an anime style closed eyes smile.

We continue staring at each other for 5 minutes straight before she "Hmph" -ed and walked out of the throne room. 

'Tsundere much?'

I followed after her as she walked out of the room to her bedroom. After I came in she immediately went to close the door. 

As she was turning around I pulled her hand towards me making her face come very close to me. I didn't wait for her reaction and immediately kissed her lips.

She was a bit taken aback but eventually gave in. We continued for a while before separating.

"Are you angry?" I asked with a fake sad face.

"What do you believe?" She asked sarcastically.

"I believe that even if you are angry I can make you really happy really soon," I replied with a mischievous grin.

"Tell me what happened with Diana." She said ignoring my obvious implication and furrowing her brows. 

"Oh, nothing much. We mostly went to various cities to look around. I built a mansion to live in and some other minor businesses." I say carefreelly.

"A mansion? Are you gonna live there?" Hippolyta says with a hint of worry in her eyes. She tries to hide it but it was noticeable to me.

"Yeah, do you want to see it?" I really wanted to show her how the mansion looked like. She really hasn't seen a lot of things from the outside world so she is very narrow-minded. I want her to see a much of that world as Diana through my mansion is not really a good example of this era.

"What?" She didn't expect my question and was startled. Before she could react I grabbed her hand and teleported to the mansion.

"Well first off, let me do my wish!, so my wish is… Hmmmm, so my wish is a passive skill that will alert me of any system user that is in the same world, and will create an alternate version of that world...Yup that one!"

"Deducting 2 out of three of your wishes…*Ding*...Completed, You have been give the passive ability [Multiverse Creation]!...You have 1 out of three wishes left." (Hime)

"Hey Hime, do you think that my wish was worth it?" Asked Joseph as he contemplates the fact that he just used up 2 out of his 3 wishes for one ability. 

"Your wish is about quality over quantity, So technically speaking you did not waste an 'ounce of your wishes."(Hime)

"For my third and final wish, I would like you to give me infinite System Points!..." (Joseph)

"*Ding*....Host does not have the required wishes to pay for this option!..." Replied Hime, as our MC spat blood once again, due to the frustration of not having enough wishes. (ED: He's easier to offend than a white collage student)

"Welp, moving on then!...so in that case my last wish will be a System Point Generator that is upgradable!" Said Joseph as he quickly recovered from massive blood loss yet 'AGAIN'!" (Joseph) (Author: Still don't know how he gets blood lost even tho his at his spirit form)

"Deducting the last and final wish…" replied Hime as she process to get Joseph Wish. "*Ding*...Deduction complete!...Host has been Given a new passive skill [System Point Generator]!" (Hime)

As Joseph ignore the first part of the announcement, He ponders over the things he hath done in his past life to get all of this benefits.

"What exactly did I do?" said Joseph outloud.

"*Ding* In cultivation world you reached the very pinnacle, the overlord. Conquering all the lands while destroying all your enemies, you stood at the peak of all beings until your best friend Arthur and your little brother Jacob poisoned your birthday cake with Devil's Regret. As many of your subjects rejoiced at the news of your death as those who wept.

To rebuild your clan the saiyan-jin, you trained under the destruction god and eventually rebuilt your clan. In the Naruto World you reach the peak, and they deemened you as the strongest. You united all the various gangs(Ex.akatsuki) across the land and overthrew the ninja villages or so you thought. Unfortunately some ninjas survived and vowed revenge on you and revenge they got. They tied burned you alive after poisoning your birthday cake to weaken you….Does this Satisfy Host question?" "Should I really be burdened with this type of Power? Hime you do know that this young master is already too powerful to enter the lower worlds I wanted to visit, they would not be able to contain my powers. Heck, it might even lead to their destruction! What will happen to my Waifus then?!" Replied Joseph with a hint of bitterness and narcissism.

"Calculating all of the possibilities for the host to try….*Ding*..... Host can just Reincarnate as a baby, I will restrict your power till you reach the viable age where the planet itself has benefitted on the small amount of energy leakage you've been giving it and will have it's foundations and inhabitants potential drastically increased and strengthened." (Hime)

"Great idea, I knew that you loved the harem idea." (Joseph)

His First Life he lived his life as a Normal Otaku being on Earth.

The problem on how to design a space knight that offered very strong means of defense haunted Ves a bit. It became an obstacle in his design process that he couldn't overcome unless he formed a good solution to address the problem.
"This is a hardware issue. I'll have to ask for a list of component licenses from Professor Ventag. Since he's a Senior, he must have hundreds of good mech parts at his disposal at the very least."
Unlike some other Seniors, Professor Ventag didn't design any core components in-house. If he did design something, it would be purely something small and for internal use only. Ves never heard of NORA Consolidated publishing any notable component designs such as power reactors of mech engines.
This reflected a difference in style and ideology. Some mech designers believed the correct way forward was to take an increasing amount of control over what was being put into the design of a mech. They wouldn't rest until every part of a mech was designed in-house!
Other mech designers believed that diverting their attention to designing individual components missed the point about their profession. It wasn't their job to develop individual parts. Specialist developers already concentrated on that job.
To these design purists, the core role of a mech designer was to take a collection of individual mech parts and put them together in a single cohesive design that maximized their synergies and minimized their incompatibilities.
The fight between the so-called pure design and single origin ideologies raged on ever since mech designers first emerged. The single origin ideology was the predominant belief in the early days of the Age of Mechs.
After all, not a lot of specialists published good components designs back then. The infrastructure surrounding the core mech industry was still in its infancy. Therefore, mech designers often resorted to designing their own components for their mechs by necessity.
It was a given that the results were rather mixed.
A mech designer excelled in designing mechs. As for designing individual components, they only became good enough at this job when they put in the effort. However, this was not always a bad idea as they spent far too much time on distractions and not enough on their core function, which was designing mechs!
The only instance where developing individual component designs was appropriate was when these specific components formed a core part of their design philosophy. For example, Ves did not criticize Master Olson and Oleg's preoccupation with designing mech engines because they formed such a critical aspect to their overall design philosophies geared towards longevity and endurance.
After a few hundred years of continued evolution within the mech industry, the pure design ideology gained strength. It advocated for an increased emphasis on division of roles. Why should a mech designer be bothered to design their own components and thereby slow down their own advancement when they could just as well leave the job to others?
As the Age of Mechs gained steam and mechs became ever more ubiquitous, so did the demand for good mech components increased. An industry that revolved around designing mech components for licensing emerged ever since the MTA implemented the current licensing system.
The competition in the market for component licenses was just as brutal as the competition in the mech market! This competition forced developers to continue to improve and innovate on the components they offered to mech designers, thereby ensuring they delivered better results than any mech designer who dabbled in this area.
These days, which mech designer adhered to which ideology depended heavily on their education, upbringing, chosen design philosophy and their learning ability. Some schools advocated for the single origin ideology, while others propagated the pure design ideology.
It was much more rewarding for mech designers to design their own components. Yet if they weren't any good at it or derived too little benefit from this distraction, they shouldn't bother.
Ves did not possess a strong inclination for one ideology over another. They both had their good points. As far as he was aware of, a lot of higher-ranking mech designers did just fine by focusing on developing one or two components that played a strong role in their designs while making use of component licenses to fill up the rest.
When Ves approached Professor Ventag just before the fleet's arrival to the Harkensen System, he received a skeptical response.
"A defensive space knight is as standard as it gets when it comes to that archetype." Professor Ventag frowned. "Are you not aware that you are making it difficult on yourself to develop a good unique selling proposition for your design?"
"I shouldn't be the first mech designer who came up with the idea in the Bright Republic."
"You just described the lack of feasibility with trying to implement modern energy screen technology into mechs. Not only would they be forced to carry around a bulky module responsible for generating the energy screens, but they don't offer enough protection against damage to make your space knight practical."
"There ought to be better shielding tech available, right?"
"There are, Ves." Professor Ventag nodded. "However, all of them come with various limitations and restrictions. They sometimes pop up in custom second-class mechs in the Friday Coalition, but you can forget about it if you want to design a third-class mech for third-rate states. It's too unaffordable."
Ves encountered his first major setback. It seemed his dream of squaring the circle by somehow incorporating some form of shielding tech into his design fell through. His space knight wouldn't be able to emulate Qilanxo's space barrier functionality anytime soon.
The professor suddenly smiled at the younger mech designer. "All hope is not lost. There are other alternatives at our disposal. They just aren't as good as genuine shields and energy screens. For example, the most practical suggestion I can offer is polarizing technology. Are you familiar with this tech?"
"I've heard of it." Ves said with a hopeful tone. "It's not exactly accessible to ordinary mech designers, though."
"Not to worry. I do possess a license for a mech part that can polarize certain sections of a mech. However, a polarizing generator comes with severe drawbacks. Not only are they energy hungry, they're also relatively bulky. They don't take up as much volume as an energy screen generator, but you'll have to make many compromises if you wish to fit the possibility to polarize a portion of the mech frame in your design."
"Please afford me access to the design specifications of your polarizing generator license." Ves requested.
Professor Ventag activated his comm and transferred some files to Ves' comm. In the meantime, he described the underlying technology in further detail.
"Polarizing tech is a catch-all term for methods run armor plating or any solid surface for that matter with an electromagnetic field. This field offers a layer of protection to the surface against certain types of damage. It's most effective against energy damage such as lasers, but some applications of polarizing technology also makes them fairly decent against physical damage."
"It's fairly prevalent in second-class mechs, right?"
"Correct." Professor Ventag nodded. "Not all mechs from the Friday Coalition makes use of polarizing tech. They have the same considerations for this tech as we do with the decision to implement compressed armor in our third-class mechs. It's not cost-effective to employ them in cheaper mechs."
The professor indirectly informed Ves of a major flaw in his plan to make use of polarizing tech.
"If the Friday Coalition finds it inefficient, then it's even more of a pipedream for me to apply this tech to my space knight!"
The Senior shook his head. "All hope is not lost, Ves. I'm not deliberately leading you into a pit. The component specifications I just sent you described a polarizing generator that is cheaper and weaker than the ones employed by second-class mechs. While the effect is subsequently weaker to the point of being ignored by the mech designers of the Friday Coalition, it might play a useful role as long as its applied correct. What most mech designers consider inefficient can nonetheless be a valuable addition to mechs that operate on a different paradigm."
That was easier said than done. Ves already received the professor's message that he shouldn't expect too much from the component license for a polarizing generator.
Ves left the mech workshop and left the professor to his own work.
Seeing that Professor Ventag failed to offer him a good solution to this problem, Ves considered whether he should draw on his other connections to find an answer. Perhaps it was time for him to return to the Clifford Society and see if he could exchange his merits for something good.
"Even so, I don't think it's going to be that easy." He shook his head. "Polarizing tech would have been a lot more prevalent in the Bright Republic if it is practical enough for use in regular mechs."
RIght now, Ves was prepared to mull over this issue. While adding some form of active defenses wasn't critical to his space knight design, he felt he would do Qilanxo a disservice by omitting this function.
How could his space knight embody Qilanxo's excellent in defense without a representation of her nigh-invincible space barrier?
Ves encountered an unfortunate problem plaguing many mech designers throughout the galaxy! Practicality failed to keep up with his ambitions!
A lot of people wanted to own a CFA battleship and shoot everything in their way to pieces. That didn't mean that all of those people actually got to realize their dreams. Unless they managed to get accepted into the CFA and promote their way up the hierarchy, they could forget about captaining their own battleship.
Even then, the captains and admirals of the CFA couldn't employ their battleships willy-nilly and shoot whoever they wanted to without an enormous pile of rules and regulations standing in their way.
Right now, Ves became enamored with the idea of offering some form of active defenses on his mech, but all of the possibilities mentioned so far turned it into a very bad idea.
As Ves studied the details of Professor Ventag's component license, he immediately realized its main limitation.
"This license describes a polarizing generator for a heavy mech!"
The design for the generator did its best to minimize its mass and volume, but even then it took up as much space if not more than the heavy-duty antigrav backpacks procured by the Vandals to keep their mechs running on Aeon Corona VII.
That might not sound so bad, but the main issue was that existing spaceborn mechs all carried an integrated backpack module in the form of their flight systems!
"Maybe I should just layer them after another." Ves considered.
It wasn't unheard of to stack two backpack module-like components together. However, this led to unwieldy mechs with a very deep torso that bulged backwards, affecting the center of gravity and increasing their propensity to fall.
This was a bit less of a concern for spaceborn mechs, but even so it massively amplified the weak points of a space knight. Any enemy that managed to reach the rear would be able to inflict crippling damage to the mech! Such an easy vulnerability defeated the purpose of offering a defensive space knight.
"There shouldn't be too many compromises involved with the defensive capabilities of my design." He declared.
This problem haunted him for so long that the fleet finally transitioned into the Harkensen System before he knew it. The Tovar Peace Delegation successfully reached their destination, though not without suffering some losses!
As Ves accessed a local plot of the system, he found it to be as boisterous as his first visit to this Reinaldan star system.
Many shady outfits and outright pirate gangs frequented Harkensen III to unload their ill-gotten gains. They subsequently used the proceeds to procure new mechs, ships and supplies.
The outfits also deposited their crews on Harkensen I for some much-needed shore leave. The large-scale attacks the resort planet suffered a couple of years ago had already faded after the Reinald Republic made a concerted effort to repair the damage and promote it as an excellent vacation destination.
Ves smiled cynically at the high amount of traffic running through Harkensen I's orbit. To someone who lived through the devastation that wracked Harkensen I's surface, he found the sight to be surreal.
"People have such short memories."


Humanity has conquered half the galaxy and the Age of Mechs reigns supreme!

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.

In the midst of his despair, he found salvation from another legacy his father had left.

"Welcome to the Mech Designer System. Please design your new mech."

Adam proudly showed off his car and Abby felt her heart burst. Too cute! How was she supposed to handle a cuteness attack of this level?
Katie mock whispered, "He shows it to everyone he likes."
It was official. She melted into a puddle of sentimental goo. Her nephew liked her right off the bat! He was very trusting considering his mother barely told him they were family, which proved he was a happy and well-adjusted kid.
What kind of childhood did he have living out here in the middle of nowhere? Katie had obviously commissioned that toy for him but what about his other toys? Were there any picture books? What sorts of things did little kids even do in this world in the absence of a playground?
"Who made it for you?" Abby asked, gesturing to the car.
Katie was a bit embarrassed. "Ah, I got one of the carpenters who moved here from Rowenhilde to do it. He made a few others toys like this for him and other kids started wanting them too so now there are wooden cars all over town. We even started selling them in bulk to the merchants who pass through here after one of them bought one on a whim for his grandson."
Wow. Such a small thing ended up widespread because she wanted something familiar for her son to play with. Abby couldn't help but wonder exactly how much influence her sister had managed to have on this world by accident.
She was very curious about Katie's life here and wanted to know more. Seeming to sense this, Katie excused them (Al and Blaise were still deep in discussion) and showed her around the house.
In addition to a modern bathroom, there was also a fairly modern kitchen. There wasn't a microwave or a proper fridge but Katie explained that there was an ice box of sorts in the cellar outside for keeping things cold.
Adam had a few more familiar toys as well. His wooden car wasn't the only vehicle he had. There was also a wagon pulled by a wooden horse and a rudimentary truck. He had a teddy bear too; stuffed animals did exist here though bears weren't the most popular. Most children had stuffed rabbits for some reason.
There were also wooden blocks to build towers and bridges with. Everything else appeared to be carvings of various animals found in the mountains, such as deer.
"You guys use a lot of wood, don't you?" Abby asked dryly.
Katie shrugged. "We're surrounded by trees; lumber is one of our best resources. Wait until you see the wooden playground I convinced someone to build! All the kids in town love it."
She was fairly certain she knew what kind of playground her sister was talking about. When they were younger, they visited a historical park where the playground was almost entirely made of wood and shaped a bit like a castle. They used rubber and plastic a little bit for slides and rope courses but that was it.
Her sister wasn't the most creative person in the world by any means but she was full of a lot of random knowledge. Getting other more talented people to act on that knowledge had yielded quite the results and she had hardly seen anything yet.
"What other things have you convinced people to make for you?" Abby asked in awe.
It was a lot more than expected. Katie told her how this started when she was still back in the palace because she wanted sweaters and fuzzy pajama pants to get through the winter. While she was still there, she also commissioned a hat loom to be made so she could crochet.
Abby already knew that because of the novel, as well as the attempts at pizza and hamburgers. What she didn't know was everything that happened after coming to the Kanta region.
Since coming here Katie had worked together with a variety of people to create street lamps, light bulbs, a hydroelectric generator, children's toys, swing sets, different types of handy kitchen utensils such as oven mitts, and more. She even managed to improve on the makeshift snow clothes she had made back in the palace.
She also created the concept of a public library and recruited a few talented minds to help her create fun little picture books for children. The children's books that existed here were almost entirely of the educational variety, aside from a few traditional stories that were meant for older children to read on their own.

Katie confided that the Kanta became much more involved with the outside world largely because they needed to trade for materials to help recreate things from home but that it had ended up benefiting everyone involved. Unbelievable. An entire economy set up because of the desire for some kids' books.
Abby was astounded by how much she had accomplished in such a short time. A mind like hers had been wasted back in their world.
She majored in political science because it was one of the shorter programs and her health made taking on more than twelve credits per semester difficult. She had no idea what she wanted to actually do with her life and ended up taking the first part-time job she could find post-graduation.
A benefit of working in a school is that you have a lot of time off. Three day weekends, spring break, Christmas break, summers… Katie admitted that she went with that job in no small part because of all the time off for doctors' appointments, physical therapy, and plain old recovering from exhaustion.
Her time was entirely consumed by going to work, going to the doctor, and consuming as much media as possible. Because she was a curious soul, instead of wasting all of her time on Netflix like some people she primarily focused on nonfiction.
Her memory for details was incredible. There was no way Abby would have been able to remember enough about random things like crayons and markers enough to actually make one later.

In addition, because no one knew which equipments the biological research team needs in order to try and replicate the antidote, I let Shizuka accompany us for that purpose. Although I originally planned on taking her with us.

 I feel much safer seeing the number 22 above Shizuka's head, but still, I do not plan to let her walk alone around the place, since she cannot avoid being clumsy at times. 

As most of the other groups move around the city, the number of zombies had been greatly reduced. So the risk will be lower when entering the center of the city. I hope we wouldn't' get trapped in the middle of a horde as what happened to Soichiro's team yesterday... Also, I feel uncomfortable going into a laboratory... This must be due to me playing too many zombie games with those scenarios in my previous world.

Without asking for any other explanation they turn around and go with the rest to help. Along with Scythe, I go to the entrance, drawing my guns and killing any zombie that comes into my sight. 

I have to use my guns because if I don't, Scythe will split them into pieces before I can even kill one with my sword. Upon reaching the streets I see a large number of zombies slowly walking towards us... well, not everyone was slow, there were also several evolved running. 

Seeing this, instead of feeling the pressure of being widely outnumbered, a smile is drawn on my face. No, I don't consider myself a maniac who always wants to fight if you're thinking that. My smile is because I only see all these zombies as bags of fertilizer running here, as if they want to be used. 

"Go, Venus. You can give yourself a feast with them all" 

From my storage I take my poke-ball and throw it a few meters away from me, then a bright light appears for a few seconds and when it disappears a small green area in this gray place seems to have grown from out of nowhere. 

Before coming here I thought that it wouldn't be strange if our team is caught in the same situation as Soichiro. So I decided to bring my Venus when we came here. Without a doubt, she can be the best wall to stop a large number of zombies. 

"Venus, don't attack humans and Scythe stay with your sister and help her if the number of zombies she can digest increases too much "

When we were about to enter I think for a moment on what would happen if the generator shuts down, that's why I suggested for us to separate. But with my words, Kurisu turns to me, looking a little annoyed thinking that I do not trust her, so I quickly explain my decision a little.
