A guideline for authors who are new to the business, written by a fan and veteran webnovel reader. These tips are what I think shows the basic quality of a novel, apart from its story. 

Recently, lots of originals have been popping up, and I have noticed that while they have great potential and exciting storylines and settings, the good aspects are buried in errors that could easily be corrected.

Authors, please give it a read. Of course, you will have your own thoughts and difficulties following these guidelines, but I feel that by following as many as you can, your novel will be more liked. Thank you!

Fellow readers as well as Authors, please feel free to mention other tips I can add to this guide to make it more detailed. I am happy to listen to your opinions on changes that can be made to my current guide.

I believe that in the true religion there must be a book of guide for followers, and if there is no religion according to it, it cannot be thought out in common sense.
If you make an item there must be a guide book for how to use it, as well as religion. God must have prepared human manuals. and another thing that I don't consider the most correct religion, is the Guide book revealed by God there is no reason why there are so many religions in this world.

and that concept of god that I believe is something that creates everything ... without any limitations in that something ... form is a limit, gender, strength, descent are the same ....

Ten minutes later, crossing the base, they reached the obstacle course, just as the other buses were leaving to head towards where they had just been.

Matthew could see that the special forces members had just completed their work on the course, slightly earlier than had been planned.  While the solider operating as a guide on the bus he was on was speaking, he stood up, and quickly exited the bus, and moving away slightly before calling out "Golf Oscar.  Attention."

At those three words, the members of the go team, turned and seeing Matthew, immediately ran forming lines in front of him, standing at attention, but not saluting.  Seeing a few faces, Matthew knew he could get away with what he was about to do.

"Ladies," which drew a round of laughter from the group.  "I know your day has been interrupted with the school group that was here, but it is going to be further interrupted.  We will do a shortened, non-pack demonstration on the obstacle course, but I want this group which includes my stepson, to have a little fun doing something simple.  Can you handle a group of rich children and their parents, or are you the ladies I think you are?" 

"We are soldiers' boss, we can handle what you throw at us," came the reply from Joseph who was hiding in the backrow. Before he added "It is you I doubt that can cope given you have been missing in action lately from such training."

This drew a further round of laughter, before Matthew responded, "I can, but give me a minute."

With that he headed back and whispered to one of the soldiers what was about to happen.  As he headed back, removing his hat and sunglasses, sitting them with the packs, he heard the one of the tour guide soldiers say "We are in for a treat.  Some special forces soldiers have agreed to do a sort demonstration on the obstacle court, along with Dominic's stepfather, and have said that will take each child out and let them have a little go on something simple on the course."

Matthew turned, and signalled to the soldiers to start a quick warm up before they headed out onto the agreed shortened version of obstacle course they would do at full speed.  As they moved through the obstacle course, Matthew could hear the children cheering as they went through the course.

Once they finished the course, Matthew made sure they moved back to where the packs had been placed to warm down.  In a quiet voice, Matthew said "Ladies, other than my wife…"

One soldier interrupted "Boss, we get to meet the lady boss?"

In response, someone quipped "Do you think the boss will let you around the lady boss, you have to be kidding," which drew laughter.

"Let me finish ladies.  Of the civilians in the group, only my wife knows my role.  I am ordering you to ensure that you keep that secret, or…"

"You will send us back to general duties, boss how many times to you issue that threat.  We know what to do," responded Joseph.  "Now head back or I will tell my wife and you know what that will result in."

Placing his hat and glasses back on Matthew headed back to where Lexi and Dominic were standing.

Meanwhile, when Matthew had exited the bus, Lexi had looked at the soldiers and realised that one of them looked like Joseph.  That meant it was likely that these were special forces soldiers and Matthew was going to have them do something.  Lexi tuned out to the tour guide and watched what was happening outside.  It was only when she felt Dominic tugging her hand, that she turned.

"Come on Mummy, everyone is getting off.  Do you know what Daddy Matthew is doing?"

"I have no idea what he is up to, Dominic."  Lexi, taking Dominic's hand headed out of the bus and assembled with the rest of the group listening what the guide had to say, while watching Matthew.

After a couple of minutes, Matthew came over and whispered something.  He started to head back before she heard the guide say "We are in for a treat.  Some special forces soldiers have agreed to do a sort demonstration on the obstacle court, along with Dominic's stepfather, and have said that will take each child out and let them have a little go on something simple on the course."

Dominic, tugged Lexi's hand and said "Mummy, what is Daddy Matthew doing?"

"Dominic, watch and you will see."  Despite the situation of their relationship Lexi was happy that Matthew was willing to go over and above to make this special for Dominic and the other children.

Very quickly they saw Matthew at the head of the group throwing themselves into the obstacle course at what could only be described at fast pace.  Watching this, Lexi tensed, as she remembered when they were younger Matthew had always told her that it was more common for soldiers to injure themselves in training that it was when seeing active service.

She looked down at Dominic who was engrossed in what he was watching, and like his classmates was cheering what they were seeing but adding occasionally "Go Daddy Matthew."  

After they had finished the obstacle course, and come back, Matthew walked over to Lexi and Dominic.  Dominic threw himself for a hug at Matthew, saying "That was so fun to watch Daddy Matthew.  I had no idea you could do that."

Crouching down, Matthew looked Dominic in the eye and responded, "All soldiers can Dominic, we do it for fitness."

Lexi, in observing this could see who cute these two looked together.  It was just luck, that no one had so far put everything together to know Dominic's true parentage.  She observed Matthew stand up and move toward her.

Putting her hands up, she firmly said "No way Matthew.  You need to shower before you can even think about getting close to me."

“Safe?  I am not safe from you, everyone, everything and everywhere else is safe!”

It was a divine artifact.
Before Raven 12345 finished, Hao Ren had realized that the thick and solemn Bible before him was divine and certified to be so. It was just dazzlingly bright. If you were to write its name down, the word itself would glow with an orange aura.
As Raven 12345 had mentioned, it was a counterfeit of the original, and there was a vast difference in the level of power between the two. But even so, it made no difference when it came to the Plane of Dreams. It originated directly from a sovereign god, which meant it was akin to dealing with a group of local gangsters with a star-blasting spaceship and a tsar bomb. In all fairness, you would not feel the difference between the two if they were blasted right next to your house.
Hao Ren was instantly over the moon after receiving this literally god-sent divine thing. He took the book out of the box while listening to Raven 12345's babbling, "It may be a backwater here, but the giving of this thing shows our superior is concerned. There are more powerful things than this, but you will not be able to control it. So, be contented."
"It is good enough. I feel much more confident by having this thing. But then, what the eight rams on the Bible are all about?"
"Oh, that is a physical enchantment, which enhances your combat power."
"Then, for what is the iron chain on the side?"
"You can coil it around your hand and then swing the book on its end."
Hao Ren thought for a long while and finally figured out what the physical enchantment meant; it was a meteor hammer.
"Wait a minute! You mean the correct way to use this book is to throw it out like a meteor hammer?"

A mage with a physical BUFF and a spiked club was a perfect match for the Goddess of Light who installed eight rams on the Bible. But whether it was because of the matched personality that prompted Anthony to follow the Dark Valkyrie, or because of after Anthony following the Dark Valkyrie that he only changed from a great magician to become a berserk remained unknown.
When thinking of the last scenario, Hao Ren could not help but be shocked. He stared at Raven 12345 with a strange look.

"Me?" Vivian pointed at herself.
Both Hao Ren and Lily listened with their ears stood erect. Hao Ren was genuinely concerned about Vivian while Lily's reaction was more habitual when she heard something interesting.
Raven 12345 did not answer directly. Instead, she looked up and down at Vivian before saying curiously, "How do you feel after the hibernation?"

Hao Ren was startled; of course, he knew what that epithet meant.
All otherworldlings on earth, including the demon hunters, were the refugees that the Goddess of Creation sent to this universe when an extinction-level disaster struck the Plane of Dreams. The Goddess of Creation had a grand plan, which no one had fully understood. She first sent the remnant to the surface world and pardoned the sin of deicide of the survivors through Ultimate Absolution. She must have also designed a program that let the refugees return to their homeworld and everything arranged in place in space-time fort of Yggdrasil. Besides that, the plan could also be related to the resurrection of the Goddess of Creation and the ultimate battle against the Mad Lord.
And this grand plan had a Guide, who was the divine avatar of the Goddess of Creation, that was, Vivian Ancestor.
But Vivian had absolutely no clue of this mission. Before the divine avatar arrived on Earth, it first accidentally went to the planet Inferno. It underwent a split in Inferno and Vivian who came on Earth was only one-half of the divine avatar. Meanwhile, the other half had turned into an insane demon-god Malevolence in Inferno.
Hao Ren was unable to reach Inferno during his 10,000-year time travel because Inferno was located outside the sandbox. So, there was still a part of memory and power that Vivian could not recover, and this part of memory and power had been lost forever.
From Raven 12345's explanation, Hao Ren had immediately associated the operating system in Vivian's soul with the identity of the Guide. "You mean the Guide will use the operating system to carry out the mission?"
"I guess so." Raven 12345 gently nodded. "The system you mentioned is not an isolated thing. Since it is configured to control something, then that 'something' must exist. The person speaking is our mc, who works at the british museum as a tour guide.

"Professor Sanders, Can the rosetta stone decipher alien languages from space?" said a person from the group of tourist.

I sigh and in my thoughts i said, "Another weird one came, today."

"Well, we haven't come across writings from other worlds. But like the rosetta stone, as long as we find the key we can decode it. It can be a letters or a symbols that keeps repeating until it forms simple words, then sentences." i answered.

"Okay, this concludes our tour! If you have any questions, you have my email on the pamphlet given to you at the beginning of our tour. If you don't have one, we have more copies at the reception table at the entrance. 

On behalf of the British Museum, I thank you for giving me the opportunity and the pleasure on our journey back in time as your guide."


CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

A sound of applause from tourist for a job well done. After a few handshakes, I walked back to my office. 

As i arrive at my office, i sat down tired at my chair. As I look at the bookshelf filled with research books on ancient egypt, inscription codes and other theories. I began to think if this is the life i really want.

I grew up watching Indiana Jones in the movies, in which inspired me to become an archeologist. Where is the adventure? Where are the action?   I did not know that I will be stuck in the office or stuck as a tour guide.

I contemplated a bit. Then grabbed the remote and turn on the news.

"Breaking news today, a suicide bomber just detonated himself at famous landmark - Big Ben Clock Tower. All citizen is warned to stay in your homes since it is not known if there are any other attacks coming." -news  reporter.

I made a deep sigh and said, " Another terrorist attack, the world is getting crazier and crazier each day. It's not safe to go out anymore." 

I look at the clock and saw i have half an hour before i clock out off of work. I turned the tv off and pick up my tablet and continued reading a novel i got hooked up on. The tittle is <tales of demons and gods>. I was watching the anime a bit but got turned off, so i started to read the light novel and found it more interesting. The more i read it, the more i got hooked.

Time came for me to go home. I punch out on my time card and headed out towards the entrance. 

I take the train home, so i headed to the subway. It was very crowded at the subway since everyone is heading home. While waiting for my train, i picked up my tablet and started reading again to pass time.

"Train heading to ...arriving ..please clear..." I heard the announcement and turned off my tablet.

KABOOOOOM!

Out of nowhere, an explosion so loud that it stopped my heart for a second. Everything happened so fast. 
The next thing i new that part of the train was flying infront of me. I still haven't process anything or what have just happen. Everything just turn into darkness.

I open my eyes and i was in bed looking at the ceiling. But the ceiling i'm looking at is not my room or a hospital ceiling because it is too luxurious. It has a Crystal chandelier and the walls are overly decorated, too much for my taste.
I tried to get up, but unable to do so. My whole body is just in too much pain. I looked around and don't recognize a portrait of a kid hanging on the wall.

AAAAAAHHHHHH!

I screamed in pain as i grabbed my head, when a massive amount of memories invade my mind. Memories of a person named Chen Long. 

The door opened quickly, and 2 person barged in. I looked into the memories that came in my mind, and recognized the two people. The old guy is the dad named Chen Zhenlong, and the kid is the older brother named Chen Linjian.

They jumped and hugged gave me a bear hug.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!
The pain was so bad. Are they trying to kill me! I'm a freaking patient you freaking bastards!!! I yelled in my head.

"Long! The doctor said you have died! I knew he was a quack doctor! Huhhuhhu! Thank you for being alive! - Linjian said while tears pouring out his eyes.

"It's good to see you well Long! You gave us a heart attack when we thought you died." - Chen Zhenlong said while holding his tears.

"Guys, please stop hugging me! I hurts so bad! If I'm not dead, then I'm dying right now!"

They both let go and apologized. I breath in releif and looked at them. "Who's this person Long? And why are you calling me Long?"

They look at each other and then looked at me. They both yelled at a servant, "Call the doctor quick, he has amnesia!"

A archeologist have transmigrated to the tales of demons and gods world. See him rise to become one of the strongest alongside the original characters of the story.

'Sooo... this is what a big city looks like in real life.' Simon thought as he walked through the modern architecture of the Reaper town. 

'In all honesty, Reaper town is more of a city than an actual town. It's funny, everything is different when you see it in person, even if I thought up all of this.'

'But d**n, it's so boring. What should I even do here? The system and Xander still haven't come back, and I am just here wondering what I should do in the meantime.'

'Actually, when I think about it, the year is 12444. I did write the start of my novel in 12454... To be honest, the events also cover 10 years back, including what's happening today.'

'I've been doing to much f***ing training. I've barely even considered the actual year and time before the story starts. But, meh. It might just be that I have to wait a couple more years until Xander shows up again and starts talking. Maybe the system will naturally come back to accompany me? Who knows?'

Simon continued walking through the thick crowd of commoners, until he finally reached an ornate-looking clothing shop. With black marble walls and clear glass, the store looked simple yet beautifully well chiselled; enough for a demon to just stop and admire. After entering through an open door, Simon was greeted by a devil in his Middle Ages, possessing a pair of blue blesbok horns.

"Greetings, young knight." The man cheerfully greeted as he usher Simon into the shop.

A thing peculiar thing to note is that the devil's horns weren't exactly what a typical blesbok would possess, instead, it seemed that the horns had been chiselled to form sharper points. This gave an atmosphere of refinement and 'sharpness'.

"Fufu... you have good eyes." Simon said as his white paste disappeared, revealing his grey horns.

"I have an eye for such things, and it also seems you are rather young. Perhaps not even old enough to be considered an adult." The man warmly spoke as he guided Simon into the silent setting of the shop.

"This shop is known as 'Black Circle', we only handle a single customer at a time, and pride ourselves in our private and homely customer service. Every once in a while, a homeless devil may come here just for a chat. They always leave with a smile." The man continued.

"Do you know why?" 

Simon listened intently and knew exactly what this opening speech meant. It is a test, a test for a potential customer. This shop isn't just a normal shop after all. This is Simon's favourite establishment from his novel. And that didn't change when he arrived in this world. It more homely than home for starters.

'This is more of a test than a simple question.'

"Because there are no homeless devils, the ones that come in are but disguised demons. You leave their mouths stitched together with a smile as you send them to the custodians." Simon laughed.

"And that is why this store is named the Smiling Needle." Simon finished with a grin.

"CORRECT!"

"I am indeed impressed, little customer. I see your ears are refined and your senses are keen. That is what I love in youth. It is quite laughable though, we don't mind the odd homeless demon, but we still are disgusted at those that steal the devil identity. It is a rather terrible sin." The man warmly declared.

"You have passed the test. I will now guide you into the Needle's den. Also... while we are at it, I shall  greet you with my devil name."

"I am"

'Nidal Tuskan.'

"Nidal Tuskan."

"Here is your valued customer badge." Nidal smiled as he handed a black metal badge to Simon.

"This will allow you to enter my shop even when I am not here. In any case, an employee of mine will guide you and help you pick out your favoured piece."

"Thank you, Tested Senior." Simon respectfully responded.

"No need, no need. You are a valued customer." Nidal said as he opened a hidden door in the wall using his devil magic.

"You probably have never seen this before. This is devil magic, magic that becomes stronger as a devil Gains tiers in their horns. My magic is rather laughable compared to the Viclars and so on." Nidal explained.

'Hmmm... I didn't write about that, it was a revision from the system. I honestly didn't like this revision since it complicates things, but it's rather interesting.' Simon noted.

"Thank you, please guide me."

"As I will. This room is my master embroidery room. I create the finest of wear here."

Pointing towards another door, Nidal smiled. "And this here is my headwear room. It is only for customers that I deem to be fit for it. Say... I think you qualify."

"Why don't we sort out your primary attire first, and then we can move onto the more special business."

"As you recommend." Simon answered.

"Very well!" Nidal exclaimed as a mirror appeared out of nowhere.

Instantly, the mirror blinked in front of Simon, resting 2 meters away from him.

"Also, each set of attire comes at a flat rate of 100 blood coins. It is quite affordable and definitely cannot be beaten in quality across the devil world. But for you, you get a one time 'freebie' because I say so." Nidal joyfully explained as a set of golden needles started to levitate around a pile of fabrics and silk-like thread.

"I see from your eyes... orange eyes of complex intensity... that you desire something that spells 'I am not to be trifled with!' I rather like this, it means you will survive as a young noble."

"I will create a set of attire according to what I see in you now, it will only take a few minutes. And don't worry about measurements, I have been in business for an entire century."
