Ari is a shy, introverted girl who struggles with an endless number of medical problems. After receiving a new diagnosis, she takes a break from her studies to try and discover herself all over again. She begins searching through her past and connected dots she never noticed before. When a late night depressive episode occurs, she slips out of her house to walk down the beach. While walking the beach, she runs into someone she never would've imagined. From that moment on, Ari doesn't have to find herself, instead, she begins to find out who the person staring back at her is.

A woman wakes up in a purple room with the northern lights above her with bits and pieces of her memory and the feeling of loss and sadness and anger but can't remember why; there is also a little black fox cuddled at her side calling her mom. 

After getting over her initial shock she is told that she now has a system, and in order to get her memory back and return to her world, she must complete missions in different worlds with her system to save the worlds.

What kind of system and mission? Matchmaking Missions.

Honestly I still haven't decided on the ending for this arc and I'm seriously so over it X'D lol I've already starting thinking about the next arc... anyways, my schedule today and tomorrow are too busy to update, and I don't know about this entire next week, since we'll have family over. The next weekend will especially be busy since more family is coming, then we'll be driving from Texas all the way to Florida, and then after that, we're going on a cruise, and then I'm going to Iceland. So I'm going to call a mini-hiatus (okay, long hiatus - it'll be like a month until my winter break finishes) until then. I will guaranteed start updating again mid- to late January (if something else happens, then I will say so, but otherwise that is the expected time), and may or may not have chapters throughout that time, but highly unlikely, because I'm off to part-aaaayyyyyyyy and vacationnnnnn and have funnnnnnnn (so yeah, sorry guys, I'm abandoning you all for sun, beaches, dolphins, and then the Northern lights). Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign & XXXTENTACION - Scared of the Dark (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) - We watched Into the Spider-verse when it released, and I have to say, it was actually pretty good. My brother was really looking for the soundtrack, which on the other hand made me not too excited about it because our music tastes are fairly different, and I usually don't like the music he likes at all. But, I actually quite enjoyed the soundtrack, and this was my favorite song from it. The animation style was also fairly interesting and cool as well, very colorful, which I liked. There were some really awesome scenes, so all in all, I would recommend the movie as well as this song. 

CN Novel:

My Classmate is 200 Million Years Old - So, I really liked I Am A Killer from the same translator (I was a big advocate for that novel to be picked up), and this novel has similar vibes. An OP soul transmigrating into a cute Lolita little girl, resulting in a healthy dose of a lot of badass things. Basically, she's badass, and cute, so therefore you should read it.

An Oddette's Otherworld Odyssey - about an OP and kinda stupid and dense girl transmigrating into another girl's body in a different-ish world. There's a little bun (she has a cute baby), therefore you should read it. She's also really adorably stupid. And she can talk with animals. It's a slightly western cultivation world with sword masters and magicians.

KR Novel:

Running Away From The Hero! (Remake) - So I was actually an editor that worked for the translator of the original Running Away From The Hero! He dropped the Remake due to a request from the author, so I was really happy to hear that this was picked up again - I love the story. It's quite funny - a villain trains a bunch of badass kids for an evil organization, one of who becomes a hero. Definitely recommend.

Li Xiaolu and Zhang Zhehan were pretty jet-lagged and tried so they slept the whole afternoon till evening. Li Xiaolu didn't have any mood of going out of the hotel today so they decided to watch the Northern Lights from their hotel. 
The hotel which Zhang Zhehan has booked gave the best view of Northern Lights. The hotel room had quite a spacious veranda with a large futon and a small table. Li Xiaolu wanted to eat dinner on the veranda so Zhang Zhehan gave ordered some local food for them.
Zhang Zhehan had pretty much planned out on which places they were going to visit in Alaska from tomorrow so Li Xiaolu was quite excited about it. Nobody knew them here in Alaska. She could freely visit anywhere she wanted to go with Zhang Zhehan without the constant worries of media and the paparazzi.
After the dinner arrived Li Xiaolu and Zhang Zhehan arranged everything in then veranda as they sat down next to each other. "Wow... It's so beautiful." Li Xiaolu gasped watching the sky change into different colors. This was the most amazing phenomenon she had ever seen in her life.
The couple quietly enjoyed their food while watching the northern lights. It was such a beautiful atmosphere here very different from their busy lives in China. Li Xiaolu was very happy and she liked this atmosphere. It made her so peaceful and satisfied. They were eating j. complete silence yet this silence spoke many words of love, filling up their hearts with each other's presence.
The dinner was done. Li Xiaolu sat next to Zhang Zhehan as he wrapped his arms around her providing her his warmth. It was pretty cold outside but still, Li Xiaolu didn't feel like going inside. 
"I love you Zhehan.." Li Xiaolu expressed by kissing him on his face. "You know I feel so happy with everything that has happened in my life after meeting you. I feel so good that God gave me a chance to live again and be with you." 
Zhang Zhehan smiled kissing her hair. Wrapping a blanket around themselves he said, "It should be me who should be thankful to God for giving you a second chance. You are my life, Xiaolu. I cannot imagine my life without you." 
"You know what else I am happy about?" 
"What?" Zhang Zhehan asked.
"Hu Yutian." Li Xiaolu smiled, "I am happy that he finally has someone that he can spend his valentine's day with." 
"Hmm..." Zhang Zhehan nodded. He was happy for Hu Yutian who was like a small brother to him. Ming Yu is perfect for him and he wished Hu Yutian would be happy with her, all his life just like he is with Li Xiaolu.
But then thinking about Hu Yutian's cute son, jealousy rose in Zhang Zhehan's heart. "Xiaolu, he might be the last person to leave the bachelor's club but he is the first person to be in the father's club, " Zhang Zhehan complained with a cute pout on his face, "I am so jealous of him." 
Li Xiaolu laughed looking at Zhang Zhehan's grumpy face. Poking his cheeks Li Xiaolu chuckled, "Okay. Don't be a grumpy baby. Let's have a kid when my shooting for the next film is finished." 
"Really?" Zhang Zhehan asked in excitement as his eyes lit up with joy. He really wanted to have a child with Xiaolu but he would force her. Not getting her agreement Zhang Zhehan felt like he was on top of the world.
Getting up from the couch, Zhang Zhehan picked Li Xiaolu up in his arms and he marched toward the bedroom with long strides. 
"Ahh!!!! Where are you taking me?" Li Xiaolu shrieked in surprise when she was suddenly picked up by Zhehan. Seeing that Zhang Zhehan was taking her towards the bedroom Li Xiaolu knew the future events that would be taking place once they got inside the bedroom.
"I said we'll try to have a baby after my shooting is finished, not today." Li Xiaolu informed.
"I know." Zhang Zhehan laughed. 
"Then why are we-" 
"Today's valentine's day and I don't want to miss this chance of making love to you. Don't worry I'll be careful." Zhang Zhehan said interrupted knowing well what Li Xiaolu was going to say.
Li Xiaolu: "....." Will she be able to walk out of this door tomorrow for sightseeing?
Once inside the room, Zhang Zhehan quickly placed her on her feet and kissed her passionately on her lips. With his hands, he quickly undressed and swiftly removed her clothes. Li Xiaolu whimpered as the cold air hit her body as her clothes were removed one by one by her talented husband. She hugged him trying to get some warmth from his body.
Zhehan smirked as he sucked on the skin at the back of her neck while his hands were slowly increasing her bra. Once she was completely undressed, they looked into each other's eyes with an equal amount of passion and eagerness for their bodies go become one.
Zhang Zhehan pushed her on too of the large bed as he got on top of her. He immediately kissed her, probing and poking to get her to open her mouth. Once she did, his tongue twirled and played with her tongue.
Zhang Zhehan's kissing skills were so good that it immediately ignited a fire inside of Li Xiaolu's body. Their hands were touching and roaming over each other's bodies. As their hand was cold it made them yelp and shiver as his hand touched her body and vice versa.
With his left hand, Zhang Zhehan tried to reach for the condoms that he placed in the drawer. Li Xiaolu blushed when she saw it and then she gazed into the eyes of her husband who was giving her a wolfish smile.
"You are prepared." She mocked.
Zhang Zhehan smirked, "For you, always."

Jayne Rice opened her mail with glee. She knew the letter from her publisher would confirm the transfer of funds to her bank account in Escanaba, Michigan. It was the final payment for her latest novel, Midnight 'Til Dawn. The novel was another best seller. That made 10 in a row. The first of her Midnight novels was a good seller, but it didn't come close to being a best seller. It did, however, give her enough money to continue her writing career. She kissed the letter, smiled and went to the kitchen for another cup of coffee. She strolled out onto the deck of her home.

It was completely dark by 7 in the evening this time of year. The last days of October in Upper Michigan were nippy, with the temperature at night sometimes well below freezing. Snow is just around the corner, Jayne thought. Time to get the hell out of here. She gazed up at the northern sky. The northern lights were putting on another spectacular show, dancing with blue and white. The lights of Escanaba, across Bay de Noc, were sparkling along the far shore. Jayne shook her blond ponytail and retreated indoors. She glanced at a mirror on the door as she passed and smiled. Her smile was the best thing about her. Not that she wasn't pretty, but her smile was dazzling. It lit up the entire room when she turned it on, and she usually did.

Not bad for 35, she thought. Of course, the blond was not real. She had dyed it after her late husband had died 5 years ago. She needed the change and she liked what she did for her. It made her look 15 years younger. Everybody said so. She laughed. Of course, they are all my friends! What else can they say? Her figure was again trim. She stood five feet seven in her stocking feet. Not too tall, but not exactly a small girl either. Her twin 38's still had some substance, but gravity was doing its darndest to take over.

Jayne's true hair color was a mousy brown. In high school she wasn't the popular cheerleader type. She was more the biker girl type. She got pregnant when she was 15, quit school, and got married. She lost the baby and three more in the next three years. When she was 19 her husband was beating her up on the front lawn when the cop across the street intervened and kicked the shit out of her husband. After she divorced the jerk, she married the cop from across the street. John Rice was 30 years her senior. It was the best move she ever made. John treated her like a queen. They loved to come up to Upper Michigan and sail on their 26 foot Carver. Jayne gained over 100 pounds and topped off the scales at over 250 the first year they were married. John used to kid her about just having more for him to love. He wasn't kidding. He used to say she was "tons of fun!"

He meant it. It didn't dawn on her until after he died just how much he really cared for her. He used to say, "Honey, move over to the left a little, there's too much sun there where you are," or, "Honey, get into the center cabin to get out of the wind a bit." What he really meant was to move over, your weight is throwing the boat off center.
She completed high school with a GED and was happily married for ten years. They would spend most of the year in Rhode Island, where he was still a cop, a month or so in his family's summer home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and a few times they would take a week or so to play poker in Vegas in the winter.

He loved it there in Michigan and she learned to love it too. Right after they were married, the last of his family died and the summer home became his. He couldn't wait to retire and spend the rest of his life in Michigan. He didn't make it. He died of a heart attack ten years after they were married.

Jayne went up to Michigan to sell the summer home and realized that she would rather sell the home in Rhode Island. She went back to Rhode Island; sold her home; packed up everything she had; dyed her hair a Marilyn Monroe blond and moved to the Stonington Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She spent every summer there, and every winter in Las Vegas, where she played a mean game of poker. In the meantime she lost over 100 pounds and got back into great shape.
Jayne had always wanted to write, but her lack of education didn't lend much confidence in her ability to do so. When her husband died and she moved to Michigan, she had the time to spend on her writing.

She never did learn to spell very well, and always thanked God for the spell checker on her computer. She had never been able to see the nuances in the "too, two and to" and the "there, they're and their".
Her latest best seller, Midnight 'Til Dawn, was a novel about Las Vegas. It dealt with a female pit boss in the poker room in the Fremont Casino who had been murdered back in the 70's. Popular belief at the time was that the husband had killed her, but try as they might, the cops couldn't bring him to justice.

The book also dealt with a poker player called Michigan Slim who played poker there about the same time. Michigan Slim was reported to be a great player who chose to play in the small games. He would begin play at midnight, and play until dawn. Thus the name of the book.
"Midnight is when the dealers change shifts," he explained. "And they all think they can play the game well." Michigan Slim would win at least $300 every night in those small games. In the 1970's that was pretty good money. He lived quite well. One day he just disappeared. The dealers would joke about Slim being planted in the desert just south of Vegas.

In Midnight 'Til Dawn Jayne brought back Michigan Slim who was to solve the crime against the beautiful pit boss, and marry her equally beautiful sister in the process. The public loved it.

Jayne opened the refrigerator, took out a wine cooler, settled in the overstuffed recliner across from the large screen TV and clicked the remote, turning on the TV. She surfed until she found one of her favorite programs, Cold Cases. Immediately after finishing a novel, Jayne couldn't slow down without having an idea for the next one. Her favorite spot for getting her ideas was through TV and these old cases from years past.

The story tonight was about a child molester who was found shot to death in his own bedroom way back in 1955 in Newberry, Michigan. Hell, Jane thought, that's only about 80 miles from here! They sure must be hard up for a case for that one to make the unsolved list. The story was about the fact that there were no clues in the case save a partial thumb print that may or may not belong to the perpetrator. It was thought the father of the boy he molested might have been guilty, but without proof, the police could do nothing. Jane moved on to FBI Files. Then moved on to Unsolved Mysteries.

Unsolved Mysteries was about unsolved massacres. The most recent one was in 1983 in New York City. It seems that an entire mafia family had been wiped out on January 26th, 27th and 28 of 1983 without a trace. Twenty six members of the Tessinari family had been murdered. Nineteen were blown up in a pool hall and seven others had been shot in their homes over the three day period. It was deemed a mob hit where rival gangs were warring for some reason. No one ever knew for sure. The only clue was a partial thumbprint on the bathroom door knob of Tony Tessinari, the boss of the family. His head had been blown off by a shotgun blast from a 12 gauge with buckshot.

Jayne shot to attention. A partial thumbprint! she thought. And there was a partial thumbprint in the Newberry murder back in '55! Wouldn't it be something if they were the same? Shees! I think I have a new book here! Jayne was very excited, scenarios blowing across her mind like storms. It could make a wonderful story! She thought once again.

In all of Equestria there's one night that is fun and exciting with a dollop of scary: Nightmare Night. Everypony loved, Nightmare Night even Princess Luna, despite the fact that it highlighted a time in her life she didn't want to remember. This year, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and their families were going to spend it in Ponyville.

"So is tonight going to be different from how we celebrate Nightmare Night here?" Northern Lights asked.
Luna looked at her daughter. Northern Lights wanted so much to be like her mother and hated it when ponies brought up that her mom used to be Nightmare Moon. This made Luna a little worried about bringing Northern Lights to Ponyville for Nightmare Night since there would be images of Nightmare Moon everywhere.
"A little," Luna said adjusting Northern Lights' sea pony costume. "Here we have a costume ball. In Ponyville its more like a festival. And you and your cousins will get to go door-to-door collecting candy."
Northern Lights got excited at that. She loved candy.
"Let's go before the candy's all gone!"

Ponyville was all decked out for Nightmare Night. The Main Six, their friends, and their children had agreed to meet at the Castle of Friendship to get their children (and themselves) ready. Even Fluttershy was there having gotten a little braver about Nightmare Night since she and Thunderlane got together.
"How do I look, Mom?" Sweetheart asked showing off her Mage Meadowbrook costume.
"You look perfect," Fluttershy said.
Sweetheart, Streamer, Cinnamon Apple, Gemstone, Lighting Bolt, and Sun Flare were dressed as the Six Pillars (Streamer was Somnambula, Cinnamon Apple was Rockhoof, Gemstone was Mistmane, Lighting Bolt was Flash Magnus, and Sun Flare was Star Swirl the Bearded). The others had chosen different costumes. Confide dressed as was Gummie, Piñata was dressed as Boneless, Swift Wind was dressed as Daring Do, Zala was dressed as a witch, Zimba was dressed as a timberwolf, Wanda was dressed as a magician, Sparks was dressed as Scorpain, and Morning Radiance was dressed as a siren.
"Can we go get candy now?" Sparks asked.
"Not yet, Sparks," Smolder said as Rarity helped her put the finishing touches on her princess costume. "We're waiting for the others."
"We're here!" Discord called out as he, Celestia, Cadance, Shining Armor, Luna, and Luna's husband Alucard entered the room with their children.
"You all look great!" Rainbow Dash said.
Celestia was dressed as an angel, Discord was dressed as his Ogres & Oubliettes character, Shining Armor was dressed as a knight, Cadance was dressed as the goddess of love, Luna was dressed as the moon goddess, Alucard was dressed as a vampire, Mirage was dressed as a hippogriff, Copy Cat was dressed as a griffin, and Flurry Heart was dressed as a changeling.
"You guys look good, too," Shining Armor said admiring Twilight's Athena costume, Flash Sentry's dragon costume, Spike's royal guard costume, Pinkie Pie's Alice in Wonderland costume, Cheese Sandwich's Mad Hatter costume, Rainbow Dash and Sorin's Shadowbolt costumes, Fluttershy and Thunderlane's Princess Odet and Prince Derik costumes, Zicora and Cattail's forest goddess and shaman costumes, Trixie's wizard costume, Applejack and Caramel's cowgirl and cowboy costumes, and Rarity and Fancy Pant's Cinderella and Prince Charming costumes.
"Can we go get candy now?!" Sparks asked tugging on his mother's wing.
"Yes we can," Smolder said.

"We've been looking forward to this ever since our parents said we were coming to Ponyville for Nightmare Night," Copy Cat said.
"Next year you should all come to Canterlot," Celestia said. "We have a very nice costume ball. It's not the Grand Galloping Gala but it is fun."
"I like fun!" said Pinkie Pie.
Everyone laughed. Luna turned to make a remark to Northern Lights only to discover her daughter wasn't there. Looking back, she saw her standing in the road, a look  of shock on her face.
"Northern Lights, are you okay?" Luna asked as the others stopped and looked back.
Northern Lights didn't say anything. Her eyes just took in all the Nightmare Moon decorations  before turning around and running off.
"Northern Lights!" Luna called.
"I'll go find her," Alucard said.
"No," Luna said. "I'll go look for her, Alucard. I think she and I need to have a mother/daughter talk."

Luna found her daughter on the outskirts of town not far from the Everfree Forest.
"I remember my first Nightmare Night. I was so determined to prove that I wasn't anything like Nightmare Moon. But it seemed like every time I would get comfortable something would happen and the other ponies would run off screaming."
"They hate Nightmare Moon," Northern Lights said.
"They don't hate Nightmare Moon," Luna said. "She was just the last one to be banished 1,000 years before Twilight and the others connected with the Elements of Harmony. It could have easily been Gorgar, Tierik, the Pony of Shadows, King Sombra, or even your Uncle Discord."
"But still all the foals screaming at the sight of Nightmare Moon isn't fair."
"Northern Lights," Luna said raising her daughter's muzzle with her wing. "Let me tell you something I learned on my first Nightmare Night. Sometimes it's really fun to be scared."
Northern Lights looked at her mother in amazement.
"So," Luna said. "Do you want to go back and give Nightmare Night another try?"
Northern Lights nodded.

The other princesses and their families had been invited to spend the night at the Castle of Friendship rather than make the long trip back to Canterlot and the Crystal Empire.
"Did you have fun?" Alucard asked his daughter as Luna tucked her in.
Yawning, Northern Lights nodded.
"That's good," Luna said leaning forward to kiss her daughter good night. "Happy Nightmare Night, my little moonbeam. And happy birthday."

However I thought of other name or what this novel would look like if it was Japanese to begin with. Since my inspiration is Japanese and Korean light novels.
So it would be:
Overnight: 七番目の北狐 (Nana-banme no Kitakitsune)
or
Overnight: 일곱번째 북부 여우 (ilgobbeonjjae bugbu yeou)
However, the Japanese version would make more sense as I'm having a play with words with 'Northern Fox' the species (Ezo red fox) and 'Northern Fox' as the fox pack within the novel.
So I don't know if I would change the name or not.
The 'Tale' in the title is a bit redundant. Of course it's a tale. Since it's a very light, not serious novel, (~) somewhat children friendly...
And the fact it a fox spirit that would turn be a summoner... it is teased from the very first chapter however I think a lot of potential reader are misled from the title and just drop it early because it fail to deliver what they are coming for (since it's really slow-paced)
So I think "Overnight: The Seventh Northern Fox" is more accurate as the title since it's what the novel immediately deliver:
The tale of a fox in a remote forest in a game-like fantasy world.
(Which would really later on become a full-fledged summoner worthy of a tale.)
Since I have about twelve faithful readers (according to Inkstone stats), I don't think anyone would be too much bothered by the change. However, I wanted to write about it beforehand, just in case.
