It's almost been a year. Nothing much changed. At least for me.

I still game all night. I had a fun summer vacation. My adventure level went up by twenty-one after completing the remaining world quests. Nothing changed.

Oh right, I didn't go to school. The aliens paused time for the humans on Earth and said that schools will open after spring break. It's spring break now.

Oh the aliens? They didn't change much. They just replaced all the governments. Just in position, though. The different governments still exist, only they have to answer to the aliens. It's like the world was united.

The world actually wasn't united though. That's because the aliens themselves were divided. The only reason why the world still has order is because the aliens have to listen to the System. Yes, the system who gave me the phone and developed the game. By the way, Valyn really is the System's son. No wonder he's so overpowered.

Almost one year ago, the screens appeared in front of everyone. Except me. No one noticed. How could they pay attention to me when they have to deal with all the things that were happening? 

That day, the aliens descended. That was the day when everything changed.

Or, that's how it should be. And that's how it is, for everyone but me.

There some changes. Some impacted me, others didn't. For example, the game <Otherworld Online> became available to everyone. Although, the format was different...

My game was updated too. For some reason, all my characters and items went up two ranks. Plus, every single one of them are not available in the game version others are playing. Although, the quests are the same. The characters you get from quests are the same as well. Those characters and weapons didn't go up in rank. They weren't very highly ranked anyway.

Today, the sky is blue. Distantly, I hear the sounds of people fighting against monsters. The sounds are constant, but never get any closer. The monsters never come near my house.

As for me, I'm just gaming on my bed.

The day the aliens descended, a new app was downloaded on my phone. It said it was an extension of <Otherworld Online.> Basically, it was a shop for real-world items. They can be bought using kills. If I kill anything, human or monster either in real life or the game, I get one Kill. It's literally called a Kill.

The items are pretty useful. One of those items was <Monster Repellant.> It's pretty self-explanatory. No monsters come near anything I sprayed, and no one who wanted to fight monsters came to my house. There was no monsters, so it wasn't worth the time.

For those who didn't want to fight monsters, they were too scared to come to my neighborhood. My house it the only one standing amongst smashed plaster and wood. It looks so out of place that it's terrifying for others.

After the initial chaos subsided, it immediately started up again after the announcement of the aliens. Monsters were suddenly released on the planet by the System. The aliens wanted to conquer the world while it was in a state of panic. However, they failed.

Why you may ask? Aliens should be super powerful with advanced technology or magic. It's not like humanity's advantage of repopulating quickly or something like "courage" came into play. In fact, the aliens looked exactly like us. The System grouped any organisms that looked and had the same anatomy into the same universe. Why I know that information? Because I bought it.

The digital store app, called the System Shop, also sold books on different universes. Apparently, the characters come from different universes too. Although, my characters each come from different universes, while the rest of the world only uses characters from one world.

Oh yeah, the characters can appear in real life. Everything from the game, items, weapons, characters and even quests are now in real life. It's not very exciting.

First of all, I can just play at my house on my phone. There's no leveling advantage or anything. There's not even the advantage of not dying. No one dies from a monster in real life. They can only die from other people.  However, it's still better to game in the comfort of my house. Who wants to trek around the world to fight monsters you can fight at home?

Transportation is also a problem. As I said before, I don't want to travel all around the globe to fight monsters. In the game, I can just teleport to a Teleport Point, dungeon or Heal Point. Healing is also a problem. In-game, you can just teleport to a Heal Point to regen health. In real life you need an insane amount of food. That's not a problem for me, as I can heal using the Heal Points in-game. I also have a ton of food. But it would draw too much attention.

I'm fine with drawing attention from anyone on Earth. I'm much higher level than the humans and even the Experts, but I'm worried about the <World Destroyers.>

The <World Destroyers> are an alliance that, as it's name suggests, destroys worlds. The books on them are insanely expensive, and with my game monsters disappearing, I can't afford to buy them. All I know is that they're insanely powerful.

Fighting in real life is not as exciting as fighting in-game. I don't know how to fight in real life, but the monsters are too low leveled. I would be One Hit Man.

In-game, there's monsters around my level for me to fight. Besides, the monsters in real life give me trash loot. The monsters are supposed to be upgraded as people progress in their quests.

The quests are the same as in <Otherworld Online.> It's not worth completing those quests, as just the five daily quests in-game take longer and give me more rewards than the real life quests. I wonder what will happen when someone unlocks the final boss...

I've digressed from the original topic. The aliens are called the Experts, since the actual name is in a different language. They are higher leveled and have better loot, like the experts in a game. 

The Experts failed to conquer the world simply because they had the same technology level as us. They were behind in entertainment, as they already activated the system, but had interstellar travel. Not that far, just barely enough to reach Earth. They were pretty close to humans on Earth.

Their planet wasn't even dying. They attacked us just because their civilization is based on conquering. As soon as they achieved space travel, they hopped on a spaceship and promptly invaded. Therefore, their space tech wasn't that much more advanced.

Because the Experts were lacking in entertainment, they possessed very bad imagination. This limited their intelligence in some places. They actually announced that they were going to attack and thought that we would surrender right away. Humans had five hours to prepare. That doomed the Experts.

However, the Experts were still experts after all. They had magic and technology on their side. They couldn't fit many people on their spaceship, but they made it up using characters. Though Earth has way more people, most of them are non-combatants. 

The war turned into a stalemate. It lasted a couple months, but eventually the two sides were stuck. Until the System decided to intervene. Both sides were so shocked that the war ended with just a word. The humans because the System was an omnipotent existence, the Experts because the System never gave this much attention to a world before. Plus, it was still an omnipotent existence.

I'm sure it's because of me. The System gave me this phone after all. It even gave me it's own son! Although he was nerfed—to keep the balance of the omniverse; something about "a restricted world"—he is still strong enough to crush a whole army of Experts. 

I don't know why the System pays attention to me. I don't believe that I'm all that special. I'm not a genius, or particularly good at sports. I'm not really horrible at anything either. Maybe I'm lacking in the emotion department, but it's not like I don't understand love. I just never experienced it with someone. 

It can't be something like, "The System found a random average person and decided to change his fate," or anything. I have my strong and weak points. I'm not even unhappy. I just don't know why it chose me.

After the System stopped the war, it did something completely irrational for an ultimate being. It actually set up a system of government itself! It paid special attention to anything related to high schoolers, like schools. It's because of me, isn't it...

Today I'm grinding the dungeon <Domain of the Wizards.> It's a really hard dungeon. Orb Wizards are the hardest monsters in the game. They directly serve Kai, but he's dead now, so they can only be found in dungeons. This is becoming a problem. The monsters in the game are dwindling. Even the daily quests have become something like <Clean the House> or <Collect Moonlamp Grass.> I have a feeling the System wants me to fight in real life.

I tap on the choice to enter the dungeon. The dungeon was basically two stone doors embedded into the side of a mountain. Those doors glowed blue and whooshed open. 

My avatar didn't step inside. Instead, a menu came up. The menu featured several dungeon modes. For the higher modes, you have to be a certain adventure level to even access them. 

I selected the hardest mode, Death Mode. The minimum adventure level is 480 and the recommended parry level is 200. That's the max level for a character. The tenth and final evolution phase doesn't raise the level cap, but gives the character a sub-element. The sub-element is not one of the standard elements, but rather a completely new element.

Parties are groups of five characters. In <Otherworld Online,> your avatar switches place with a character in the deployed party. In a fight or dungeons, you cannot switch parties. The five characters are the characters you have to use for the fight. The avatar also takes up a slot. 

All my characters are male since I actually switch to them in-game. However, ever since the update, I could now summon the characters beside me, but only in real life. I can also switch to my avatar from the game. Other people can get either gender character since they use the same summoning system. Although the quest characters are all male because of me.

The NPCs are not all male though, or someone would have said something.

In the game, the screen showed the loading screen for a brief second before switching to the interior of the dungeon. It was dark and entirely made of stone. Some blue torches lit up the area. For this multiple-use dungeon, there is only one room. A floating red crystal hovers in the middle of the circular room.

The floor is floating above ground. If I fall off the platform, I get kicked out of the dungeon. Essentially, I die.

I activate the key by running up to it and tapping the option to start. A countdown appears, saying I have five minutes to kill all enemies. The number of enemies also appears.

Two Orb Wizards spawned on either side of me. Both wear a blue robe and black shoes. Their faces are white skulls with huge eye sockets. The Orb Wizards are fat little monsters. 

Orb Wizards are surrounded by a round shield. The shield's color depends on what type the Orb Wizard is. You have to break the shield before actually dealing damage to the Orb Wizard. If you don't kill them fast enough, the shield reappears at full durability. Of course types help break shields. Zap is especially helpful.

The two Orb Wizards are frozen and hydro, on my left and right respectively. This is a deadly combination, because if a living thing in the game is wet, if an attack with frozen hits it, the living thing will be frozen. In-game, I have to tap on a certain part of the screen to free myself. In real life, you need a pyrus attack or some sort of fire.

First, I take care of the frozen elemental Orb Elemental. They can spawn bubbles that freeze me even if I'm not wet. The hydro Orb Wizard's bubbles only deal splash damage.

I use my level 200 zap character. Not only is zap effective against Orb Wizards' shields, it is also effective against both frozen and hydro. Pyrus is better against frozen, but an Orb Wizard's shield comes first.

This character is named Vaqu and has a sub-attribute of space. He's a rank five character. He currently equips the rank five, or rank seven in real life <Lightning Impact.> It deals damage in an electric arc, which means every normal attack is an AoE attack. It deals 500% more damage when the opponent is paralyzed, the status effect of zap. 

The weapon is at the max level of 200. For weapons the tenth evolution unlocks a additional skill. For <Lightning Impact> it has a 50% chance to paralyze the opponent. The skills' percentages are so high because the weapon is also at improvement rank 10, the max. Improvement requires an identical weapon and enhances their skills. It was hard finding ten more <Lightning Impacts.>

Vaqu onscreen swipes his sword at the frozen Orb Wizard. A bit of the shield's durability goes down. Vaqu's basic attack has a 70% higher crit rate than other characters. This wasn't a critical. 

I activate the skill <Teleport Charge.> It's a skill that creates a purple crystal near the enemy. The crystal deals zap damage and also acts as a teleport point. It's the skill from the space element. If I use the skill again, I teleport to the purple crystal and deals 150% extra damage.

A fifth of the durability bar goes down. The Orb Wizard uses an ice bubble after the hydro Orb Wizard bombards Vaqu with mini waterfalls. I try to dodge, but get hit by the hydro Orb Wizard.

The other Orb Wizard abruptly teleports behind me. Another ability of the Orb Wizards. They can teleport at any time. There is no pattern.

I quickly toggle Vaqu to turn around and unleash a Charged attack, which happens when I hold down the attack button. It takes up a bit of stamina.

The frozen Orb Wizard then uses another skill, one that shoots icicles down from the sky. I zigzag between them and continue attacking the Orb Wizard. 

This continues for another twenty seconds before the shield breaks. I use Vaqu to lunge towards the Orb Wizard like a vulture swooping down for its prey. After a quick release of a combination of skills, the Orb Wizard is dead.

Next I teleport towards the hydro Orb Wizard. It tried its best to kill me in the prior battle, but it still failed to catch me off guard. I have been grinding this dungeon for a while now after all.

The ultimate skill finally finished charging up. I eagerly tap on it. Three lightning swords appear behind Vaqu and aid him in his attack. The hydro Orb Wizard dies a second later.

Four more Orb Wizards appear. I still use Vaqu to break through their shields. Vaqu constantly teleports during this battle royale, appearing behind the enemy and dodging their attacks. 

All my characters can teleport while attacking Vaqu has a passive skill that increases his teleportation rate by as high as 1,000%. I did evolve the skill to the max after all.

Skills cannot level up, they can only evolve. They can only evolve if the character is at least Evolution Phase 2.  It works like character and weapon evolutions, needing specific materials to evolve.

By the way, other people's characters in real life cannot teleport. Only mine can.

As I manage to kill off the third Orb Wizard, two more appear. Those are the final two I have to kill to complete this dungeon. However, I have to deal with the pyrus Orb Wizard in front of me first. This one already has its shield broken, so it's better to kill it before the shield regens.

I switch to a rank four, or in real life rank six character, Xinghui. He's hydro and has a sub-attribute of weather. He uses a five star sword called the <Raining Sword.> It raises either crit rate and crit attack or skill attack by 200%. It's a fifty-fifty chance. This activates every 0.3s and can stack three times. Its additional skill heals the user by damage dealt. It can activate every 1 second but does not stack. It wouldn't make sense if it did.

I slash the pyrus Orb Wizard to death and turn to the other Wizards.

For these two, I use Valyn. I need to level him manually after all. The two Orb Wizards, zap and venti elemental, stare menacingly at Valyn. I'm about to give them an epic beat down. Let's beat them up!

It was a normal day. Aliens fell from the sky, monsters appeared in the world, and a game system activated. It just so happened that the game was one I played myself.

Considering this, it's highly probable that, in order for me to remember the game's content, I would probably need a trigger. Having suffered from doubt since infancy, it was only the introduction of Wolfgang Eisenhut that erased it. In the same way, in order to recall the bizarre thing that is the『memories of my previous life』, I needed to have something to start with.

If it's like that, as long as I don't encounter the remaining characters, I won't recall them.

Since all the capturable characters supposedly had high social standings, I initially thought that I could somehow make contact with them. Hardcore Leveling Warrior: Our titular mc Hclw is one of my favorite characters in all of Webtoon. While to many, he can be seen as a money-hungry, rude, ruthless snob. However, this persona is mostly caused by his background. Ethan grew up in the real world with no friends and family and in crippling debt. And when his worldview was looking up in Lucid Adventure, circumstances had led him to become a spiteful and arrogant man while in the game. However, to regain his former glory, he has taken the good with the bad. Hardcore is charismatic, caring, nurturing, and wildly protective to his allies but is still every bit as ruthless, calculating, and smarmy to his enemies. Overall, Hardcore is a gambler through and through, which means he always has a chance to improve and win as long as he has a chance.


Dark: Carter Han is the grandson of Roy Han, the man who created Lucid Adventure and one of the former chairmen of the super corporation Giga.  While Carter is always seen as the runt of the uncaring family, he still goes into Lucid, trying to find his grandfather's avatar before his life in the real world goes out. He and Hclw developed a special bond due to their similar personalities and temperaments.


Sora: Hclw biggest fan Sora is a young woman who admires to be as strong as him. She is the hardest worker of the three and is a supreme glutton.


Heart Heater: Dark's loyal servant, Hear Heater, is a dragon knight that also serves as an NPC. He is usually a composed businessman who aims for money but can be very aggressive when Dark is involved.


Overview 

HCLW has a loooottt going for it. Even when Hardcore Leveling Warrior is not on the screen, we see how the characters are constantly affected by his influence, which makes him a true main character. The art is also freaking amazing; every character has a bold style that makes them stand out with the quality and gets extra crispy in certain scenes. Despite the emphasis of Hardcore, the other characters get phenomenal development that improves and deconstructs their characters. Thanks to Hclw, they become stronger people and more powerful as time goes on. 

Lucid adventure is also one of the most expansive fantasy worlds I've ever seen. Since there are no fast and hard rules in the series, characters can switch from mechanical monstrosities to mystical summoning at the drop of a hat, which adds to the characterization of the series. Lucid also has NPCs that serve as complete characters in it of themselves. This also adds a lot to the mythology of the world and make Lucid more than a simple game. These moves create lots of unexpected fights that rely on a mix of chance strategy and wit. Just because Hardcore has an op skill doesn't mean he never tries. It's quite the opposite, as his incredible resourcefulness and unpredictability is the main reason why he's managed to get so many wins under his belt in the first place despite his limitations.


If there was a theme for this series, I think it's that of second chances. There is always a chance to improve oneself, a chance to make it big, and a chance to rebuild yourself. As long there is a chance, then it is one worth taking.


Epilogue 

Overall, Hclw is a godsend of a story that tears me up. It has compelling characters, a compelling world, and plenty of awesome fights. The series is only going to get better as time goes on, and I can't wait to see just how crazy this game gets. But with that spotlight out of the way, though, let's login to a different one and see where the light takes us next.

The girl knows about this game because it was pretty popular at her school. The girls would play the game and capture the capture target. The girl didnt play the game, because she thought that the game was pretty lame and the characters were all oddly kind and didnt ask for anything in return. She was pretty realistic about it, though it was just a game. The characters had no backbone, as what she said. So she had no interest in the game cuz it wasnt as exciting as she thought it was.

Now to the current time, the girl ended up in the world of the otome game as the heroine. The otome game is played in the fantasy time. Fyi.

The first thing she thought when she woke up was "bullshit" why the fuck am i in this stupid game. 
The girl had no intention to play the game to capture the capture targets and just went on with her life. Thankfully the heroine had a pretty average setting. 

She lived in the village and her parents were farmers. Potato farmers. The girl hated potatoes so this was absolutely horrible as they ate potatoes everyday. "Why the fuck do we eat these gross potatoes everyday" so the girl decided to live in the city, like the heroine was supposed to cuz of the game setting.

There, the girl liked fixing things, just as how she lived in her past life before she entered the otome game. Unlike the perfect heroine who was good at baking, singing and embroidery. The girl was not good in any of those things. 

The girls father used to be a mechanic and the girl always visited her father and helped him with his work. She loved helping him fix everything. She thought it was fascinating to know how everything was able to operate.

Now back to the otome game, the girl wanted to find a place where she could fix things. There she pondered upon a small shop. The shop wasn't very eyecatching, though the girl was curious as to see what kind of shop it was. Unlike the bright and colorful shops, this one caught her eye. 

She walked into the shop and found out that this was the place she was looking for.

POSITIVE REVIEW :

Hands down the best MMO story I've ever read. What makes The King's Avatar stand out are:

1) the level of realism - this isn't a vague fantasy genre meshed into the form of an MMO, these are real people playing a game, and the blend of RL and game life, the player interactions, World Chat, etc. really bring out the flavor of watching an MMO.

2) The insane level of detail - this author is amazing. No other story has this much focus on the reality of pro gaming, which includes physical skill, game knowledge, the ability to strategize and use that knowledge to their fullest advantage... Either the author himself used to be a pro gamer or he has top tier researching skills, but as a casual MMO player I recognize that even imagining these situations goes way above my grade. Recognizing an actual skill gap between myself and the MC - and not just "the MC picked up some magic stuff and became amazing through vaguely described training" - stirs up a ton of admiration not only for the characters but for the author as well.

3) The amazing, lively characters. All of them have enormous personalities. There are a ton of side characters that are hilarious or awesome and that I want to see more of because I know they'll be fun to read about. This is the opposite of most LNs who have disposable, flat, just-there-to-be-puppet side characters, or LNs who have side characters with tons of potential but are never developed (CD, I love ya but you toss out amazing side characters like tissues...) My favorite part of having all these great characters is the banter and the trash talk, especially in the later chapters when the big fish come out. Even the annoying characters have their charm...

4) Finally, it has to be said that the MC himself is pretty great. He's definitely more mature and interesting than most protagonists I've read about. It's a bit hard to describe him, but the way he deals with Sleeping Moon in the early chapters is one of the greatest marks of his personality. If the character were more immature he'd be focused on getting revenge and "saving face"; if the character were colder he'd just ignore everything and go solo lone wolf. But Ye Xiu? He's self-assured, but not arrogant - forgiving because he's there's no point in getting riled - but canny enough to calmly wring out advantages for himself even in seemingly bad situations. The main point is that things don't just fall in Ye Xiu's lap, he works for it and makes things happen the way he wants through experience, knowledge, or just plain old haggling. Of course, the universe doesn't revolve around his decisions, so it's always fun to read about how he has to tunnel his way through the ever-growing mess he's accidentally created for himself.
If you enjoy the concept of MMOs, gaming, and/or esports, I definitely recommend this!

CRITICAL REVIEW :

The main thing that made me stop reading this is the lack of knowledge of the author in terms of gaming, which resulted in unrealistic and extremely shallow game mechanics and/or events.
For 3 slightly more detailed reason why:
First off, this was supposed to be a depiction of the highest of level of gameplay from a pro-gamer, but I didn't see any semblance of it. Most stuff shown here were mainly unrealistic, and then common to slightly uncommon strategies, techniques, and game-mechanics. The author's portrayal of the MC feels like it's coming from a "fan" point of view, not from an actual high level narration/analyst/player. For instance, let's say you ask a boxing fan and a boxing analyst about a certain boxer about what makes him good. Most fans will answer you with "he's so good because he's fast, he's super strong, and muscular", because of the lack in technical knowledge, in comparison to the analyst who will show you stats, mathmatical stueff, physiological stuff, psychological stuff, and so on. This is what it is like to me when I read this novel, it feels like it was written by a "fan-knowledge" level person, which leads me to my next point, the authors lack of knowledge.
The author doesn't seem to know how things work, and generally how games work. One thing I can think on the top of my head is the APM. The MC has unrealistically high APM (3 digits, can't remember exactly), which is only obtainable from either hacking the game, or extremely unrealistic super human level of animation canceling (provided that the game can even perform such mechanics, because you know the author didn't mention it). I don't even know why the author mentioned APM in a first / third person almost shooter type of game in the first place. These sort of stuff breaks the immersion for me. I always notice these small flaws, which makes me skip chapters just to check if the author address them, but ultimately left disappointed because of the lack of explanation, not even a mention about these certain mechanics.
Lastly, too much grinding. People keep saying that MMORPGs are supposed to be grindy, but the thing is, we are not playing a game, we are reading a novel. Sure, you can grind all you want in a game, and it can give you satisfaction once you achieve desired level, or gained your desired item. But when reading a novel, all the stuff about grinding gives no satisfaction at all. All the million chapters spent on grinding could have been spent on world building, character development, plot twists, and so on. But no, half or a little bit more than half of the novel used for grinding. You must be really bored if you really enjoy reading all of them.

The development of Minecraft continued after Chinese New Year.
The game was still a ways away from the final product after the first stage. It was already quite a feat to recreate Minecraft, but Chen Mo wanted more, hoping to recreate it in VR.
The next step was to port Minecraft to VR.

Conversion of the rules from PC to VR was also ongoing in the game editor.
The conversion to a 3D PC game to VR was quite quick. Of course, if the game was innately big and had a lot of resources, this process would be much longer.
Luckily, the rules of Minecraftwas quite simple with not many resources in play, so the conversion happened quite quickly.
Chen Mo installed the VR version of Minecraft onto the gaming pod to try it out.
Soon, Chen Mo's consciousness entered the VR world.
A new world was generated as specified, and Chen Mo could feel himself fully immersed in the world.
However, the situation could only be described as very terrible.
First was the horrible graphics.
In VR, the field of view of the players were increased, so some of the rougher details can't escape the eyes of the players.
The jaggedness of the pixel graphics were incredibly obvious.
Looking down revealed an ugly, blocky person, with legs like meat in a can and no fingers.
Looking around revealed the trees, rivers, mountains, and animals, all of which wasn't what Chen Mo had in mind.
These graphics were acceptable on PC, but with the wider field of view in VR, all the flaws were magnified, so bad that it almost feels like another game.
The movements were smooth, and the feedback from the environment was incredibly lacking.
In VR, players didn't play the game using keyboard and mouse, but using their consciousness. Although CHen Mo already gathered the thoughts for all of the controls, he realised that it was far from enough after trying it out in game.
It was quite lacking, especially when compared to a mature VR game like Earth Online.
For example, Chen Mo felt as though he was on a unicycle when he was moving as it was really weird without any bobbing. It felt like he was floating through the air too, as opposed to having his feet on the ground.
There wasn't any feedback grabbing tools, and actions such as jumping, mining, and placing felt like someone else was doing it.
All in all, the first VR version of Minecraft felt the same as VR goggles in his previous life, other than a change in perspective, there wasn't much difference.
This version was so bad it felt insulting to have his VR pod run the game.
These problems seemed to have stemmed from Chen Mo's inexperience with VR games. Luckily it seemed to be an easy problem to solve with enough time and effort into it.
Improve actions, add view bobbing.
Add various haptic feedback.
Add resources for the other senses such as smell and hearing (improving them to a high quality of course).
And improve all aspects of the graphics at the same time.
Although it was still the same pixel art style after being imported to VR, Zhou Hanyu improved on many aspects as per Chen Mo's request.
Basic blocks such as dirt, stone, glass, good, and leaves had patterns to make it feel more textured and softened the edges.
These changes surpassed the graphical quality of many mods in his previous life.
Moreover, Chen Mo added a 'Chisel Mode'. This allowed basic blocks to be broken into sixty four different pieces to allow players to perform detailed work, making creations resemble closer to real life.
This 'Chizel Mode' was also used during world generation to soften the edges of the blocks to make the world feel more tied together and realistic. 
Other than blocks, characters, animals, adn weapons were all formed as though they were Leggo, keeping its cute art style while adding detail.
The characters for example, although it still maintained the 3:1 ratio of body to head, the head, arms and legs were no longer cubes, but round, just like Disney characters in Leggo. It made the characters fit in better in the world, while giving the models more detail.
At the same time, in order to make it better fit with multiplayer, CHen Mo added a few more models.
These models also took inspiration from the people from Leggo, with various different types of costumes such as suit and tie, cowboy, casual wear, firefighter, race car driver, pirate...
Moreover, the players could mix and match their tops, pants, hats, and shoes.
These clothes didn't take much effort as they were cute versions of it after all, unlike the bigger games that specify every single strand of hair.
Chen Mo also added a basic set of facial expressions with a happy face, sad face, and angry face, allowing players to freely use in game.
The second stage took a relatively long time, over two months in total.
This version was finally a passable VR game.
Although it's still pixel graphics, it wasn't rough or repulsive.
The characters were still cute and simple, but had various different animals for walking, jumping, and taking damage. The field of view would slightly move as the body felt the vibrations, just like real life.
The feedback from the game was also quite complete, making the game feel much more realistic with walking, jumping, attacking, placing feedback implemented.
The players would feel their hands grabbing onto the wooden handle of their pickaxe when mining, and they could feel the vibrations through their hand into their body.
Minecraft had been successfully ported from PC onto VR. Next was the most important step or adding more to the game as well as additional game modes.

Hexie was scrutinizing the characters presented to her. One was a long-range character with every status as equal. The other was a short-range warrior, having Power status a bit higher.

Of course, she chose Athena. She was used to using long-range heroes when she was playing games like this. She wasn't good at short-range heroes unless they were tanks.

After choosing Athena, the game once again loaded but with the picture of Athena versus the hero she is against with, which was the Ancient (Chinese) Army General and Sword Master, Jianjun.

When the loading reached 100%, the scene on the TV once again changed. The view panned from the enemy base towards Hexie's own turf. The there was a 5 seconds count down before Hexie could move her character.

"The character looks a bit pixilated. That needs an improvement. The movement is a bit laggy, but hopefully it would smooth out in the next trial but the background sound though. It is amazing and has a realistic feeling..."

Hexie looked so serious while playing the game, everyone in the room were tense. But that was because she was trying hard not to look eager and shout curses like how she usually play. Or else her Ice Queen persona, whom she finally embraced, will be in jeopardy. 

The characters have no voices yet but there was clashing of metals sounds, snarls and growls of other background monsters as well as the intense battle background music.

"It really does feel empty without the voices of the characters...The characters does not necessarily have to speak to each other, but they should be uttering phrases fit for their personality..."

When Hexie's character, Athena, clashed with Jianjun, she first used a stun ability, then proceeded to fire rapid shots. The computer Jianjun's life was reduced to half. She then proceeded to use her ultimate skill and chased after the character until it died.
