"We are going to do official business, not personal things." Huo Shaoheng instinctively objected to Chen Lie. 
Chen Lie gasped with laughter, supporting himself on the table and saying loudly, "No one said you're doing personal things. What are you so riled up for?!"
Huo Shaoheng said nothing. His other hand reflexively made a fist, wanting nothing more than to punch the strange smile off Chen Lie's face. 
Gu Nianzhi looked at Chen Lie suspiciously, then at Huo Shaoheng to ask with curiosity, "Brother Chen, we are going for official business. What are you laughing about?"
"I won't explain it to you. You'd better hurry on with your business with Mr. Huo…" Chen Lie winked at Gu Nianzhi before pouting at the door.
"Let's go," said Huo Shaoheng. "Ignore him." Huo Shaoheng was stone-faced as he tightly pulled Gu Nianzhi's hand to take her out of the small conference room without looking back.
"Hey! Don't go so fast. You still have time to take care of business… You can do it several times, too…" Chen Lie laughed, but his cheerful laughter was cut short when he gleaned Ye Zitan's disapproving look. "Little… Little Ye, I was only joking with them." Chen Lie rubbed his head sheepishly, unsure where to look.
Ye Zitan shook her and whispered, "Dr. Chen, Nianzhi is still young. How can you make that kind of joke in front of her?"
"I… I was only joking…" Sweat started beading on Chen Lie's back. He was naturally anxious in front of Ye Zitan and had taken things too far earlier. "I was just adding some excitement to the mood. I didn't mean anything else…"
Ye Zitan saw that Chen Lie's face was flushed, so she stopped scolding him and considerately changed the topic. "Dr. Chen, are you hungry? Mr. Huo had dumplings earlier…"
"Oh, right. Dumplings, he had those. Oh my goodness, I am actually a bit hungry." Chen Lie wiped the sweat on his forehead with a handkerchief and quickly walked out the door where Yin Shixiong was standing. "Big Xiong, are there dumplings here? Mr. Huo and Nianzhi aren't going to have some before they head out?"
"They still have business, but the dumplings were ready a long time ago. Please follow me." 
Yin Shixiong was familiar with the place, and he took Ye Zitan and Chen Lie to the dining room in the consulate and asked the chefs to duty to cook dumplings for them.

Huo Shaoheng held Gu Nianzhi's hand as they walked out the consulate doors. The night was at its darkest. The stars were shining brilliantly, and the sounds of distant waves could almost be heard. The humidity from the sea was in the air, as well as intermittent beautiful calls of nightingales to punctuate the night's peacefulness. They walked hand in hand to arrive at the street of the consulate where the lights of the Barbados night shined bright. A gentle breeze swept across their faces warmly. It also felt slightly damp, just like the ultimate moment of intimacy between two lovers. No wonder people from the tropics were so passionate and outgoing. This kind of weather was perfect for love 365 days a year…
Gu Nianzhi glanced at Huo Shaoheng with a smile as she watched his flawless side profile. She only hoped to continue walking like this forever—to never have it end. Unfortunately, this was only her wishful thinking, because soon after they left the consulate area to arrive at the Barbados government offices. It was truly a very small county, and all the government offices were concentrated together. It was not even as big as the regional offices of major cities in the Huaxia Empire. 
Huo Shaoheng led her to a white building and whispered, "This is the Department of Domestic Affairs for Barbados. We need their help to reinstate your identity."
Gu Nianzhi looked at the plain-looking building with curiosity. "It's that small?"
"Yeah, it is small. The Barbados national defense has only 600-some soldiers, so a few gunmen were enough to cause a huge incident here." Huo Shaoheng smiled. "There are still no leads on the gunmen, and you might become their target if you reinstate your identity. Are you scared?"
"Of course not." Gu Nianzhi shook her head. "What do I have to be afraid of when I'm with you?"
Huo Shaoheng squeezed her hand with a smile on his lips as they looked up at the building together. "I brought you here tonight because I still want to keep your identity secret for some time to wait and see so we can strike first when the time is right. Also, don't mention that you lost your memories when you go in now, ok?"
Gu Nianzhi nodded. "Ok, are we going in now?"
Huo Shaoheng took out his phone and called his contact within the Barbados government. He spoke in a perfect English accent, and Gu Nianzhi was completely intoxicated… She smiled at Huo Shaoheng, gently curling to his side. Fluidly holding her waist, Huo Shaoheng spoke into the phone a little more before telling Gu Nianzhi, "Ok, we can go in now." 
Soon after, the doors to the Department of Domestic Affairs building of the Barbados government opened, and a middle-aged black man greeted them. When they sat down inside, Huo Shaoheng submitted Gu Nianzhi's identity confirmation information. The middle-aged black man quickly glanced through all the material and kept exclaiming, "My God," as he read. 
After finishing, he looked at Gu Nianzhi with shock and asked carefully, "Dear Cereus, do you still remember me? I held you when you were little!" He then said to Huo Shaoheng, "Mr. Gu is a very kind man. He helped me and my entire family. I wouldn't be here as a high-level government official if he hadn't sponsored me to attend university in the United States, He changed my life, and I'm very happy that I have a chance to repay his kindness."
Gu Nianzhi's heart trembled. Could Cereus have been her English name? Cereus literally meant cactus flower, queen of the night. It was an unusual name. Gu Yanran's English name was Jasmine, which was a common name for women.
Huo Shaoheng smiled subtly and looked at Gu Nianzhi as he replied to the official, "Mr. Mike, you still remember her?"
"I remember how Cereus looked like when she was little." He examined Gu Nianzhi carefully. "I have to say that she looks completely different now. If it wasn't for the test results here, I wouldn't dare to believe…" He couldn't dare to believe she was Mr. Gu's youngest daughter from all those years ago.
"Yes, that's understandable. If it wasn't for me seeing her grow up before my eyes, I wouldn't have believed it either." Huo Shaoheng nodded politely. "May I ask what other evidence you need? Nianzhi was considered a missing person in Barbados all those years ago?"
"Right." Mike had already prepared all of Gu Nianzhi's information. "She went missing seven years ago and, strictly speaking, in two weeks, it'll be a full seven years that she's been missing. You know that many things become difficult to do once the seven years pass."
"Yes, so it's Mr. Gu's good fortune that Nianzi could return to the Gu family before the seven years passed." Huo Shaoheng took Gu Nianzhi's hand. "See what other evidence you need in order to reinstate her identity and close the case."
"I need some time to examine this information," Mike continued in his businesslike manner. "But be assured, I will keep this confidential. I can swear as a Christian that Jasmine will not find out."
"I believe you." Huo Shaoheng shook Mr. Mike's hand. "I came to you because you are the most devout Christian. Mr. Gu will be sure to thank you once he wakes up."
Mike solemnly pressed his right hand against his chest and bowed at Huo Shaoheng. "Don't worry, Mr. Huo. I will take care of this."
Gu Nianzhi was silent for a long time after they walked out of the small building that housed the Department of Domestic Affairs.
"What is it?" Huo Shaoheng looked down at her. "You don't trust that Mike will keep the secret?"
"No." Gu Nianzhi paused to look up at him. "I was thinking that since Huo Shao gave such important documents to him and also trusted him, then his identity… isn't all that simple?"
Huo Shaoheng froze slightly, his eyes so sharp that they could almost read minds like an X-ray. He glanced at Gu Nianzhi. "Why do you say that?"
"It was my intuition." Gu Nianzhi smiled shyly. "Or maybe I was wrong."
"No, you're right." Huo Shaoheng gave a small smile, picking up Gu Nianzhi's hand to kiss the back of it. "My Nianzhi is the smartest."
Cheeks flushing, Gu Nianzhi's smile was even more dazzling and alluring than a cactus flower under the moonlight. Huo Shaoheng was almost spellbound and couldn't help lowering his lips to kiss her perfect cheek, then moving naturally to her lips. He kissed her again and again, and even though logic told him he should stop, the sensation took control of his consciousness. 
Cradling Gu Nianzhi's face, he tasted her repeatedly. Gu Nianzhu stood on her tiptoes, dazed from Huo Shaoheng's kisses. In her mind, she thought she heard the cries of nightingales, as well as see large cactus flowers blooming in the moonlight. The silvery glow pierced through the dark backdrop of her mind, where scant memories appeared. Someone cradled her like a child to her chest and pointed to the cactus flowers in front of them. They taught her the pronunciation tone by tone.
"Cereus, Cereus, that's your English name…" 
She couldn't see the person's face, but the voice was a bit familiar. Who was it? Gu Nianzhi shut her eyes as a spasming pain suddenly took hold of her brain in order to prevent her from continuing the memory. She hugged Huo Shaoheng tightly and nuzzled his neck like a kitten.
"Sleepy?" Huo Shaoheng stroked her head and finally stopped the long kiss. Gu Nianzhi's full and luscious lips were already red and a little bruised. 
Seeing her like this made Chen Lie's teasing voice echo in Huo Shaoheng's mind. "…Go do business… Do it well…" 
Taking a deep breath, he suppressed the excitement in his body and casually moved away from her. "Go to bed. Just stay at the consulate for the next few days and don't go anywhere."
"Ok." Gu Nianzhi leaned her head against Huo Shaoheng's shoulder to play coy. "I can't even lift my legs."
Huo Shaoheng was silent. 
"I really can't move, see…?" Gu Nianzhi attempted to lift her leg. "I can't even lift my legs up."
Huo Shaoheng broke into laughter and bent down. "Here. I'll carry you."
His tall and strapping back bent over before her. Gu Nianzhi was both excited and touched. A hint of faint bitterness was also brewing in her heart, but everything combined to become a sweet feeling. She rested against Huo Shaoheng's back to allow him to carry her the rest of the way. The streetlamps stretched their combined shadows into long shapes that had no end.

When they got back to the consulate, it was already 11:00 p.m. Chen Lie walked out of his room to see Huo Shaoheng carrying a sleeping Gu Nianzhi on his back. He chuckled loudly, "Boss, I told you to take it easy. It's just the first day, and you already made our Nianzhi pass out. How will she keep going in the future?"


Gu Nianzhi had no idea how to get the aloof and handsome Major General to fall in love with her. 

His eyes were dark and serious. "...Seduce me. If you can do it, I’m yours."

The previously pitch-black jail was suddenly aglow with starlight shining on Zi Shang's entire body. His long, purple hair had turned black and was mostly contained by a golden coronet. The remainder of his hair, which looked like crow feathers, was scattered behind his head.
His purple vertical slit pupils had become as dark as the unmeasurable depths of a pond. Occasionally, they shone with a light of exceptional sharpness.
He wore a long robe with dark violet fringe. He had a slender figure and looked as impressive as an immortal.
More importantly, his long, obsidian snake tail had transformed into a pair of long legs.
"You have really transformed into a human?" Ye Jiuge's eyes widened.
She had guessed that this was possible when Zi Shang had talked about the Transformation Pearl.
However, she was still astonished to see the demonic snake transformed into a human.
"Don't you want me to accompany you day and night?" Zi Shang's pretty and flirtatious face revealed a slight helplessness and indulgence, as though he were only thinking about what was best for Ye Jiuge. He said, "My original body is not convenient. It's better for me to take on a human form."
"Who wants you to accompany them day and night?" Ye Jiuge would have been mad to want him to keep her company around the clock!
"You don't want that?" Zi Shang raised his eyebrows and turned to the jail door. "Then, I'll be leaving."
"Come back!" In a flash, Ye Jiuge dramatically reached out her palm.
She was wearing the Spirit Restricting Manacles and could not use any of her body's Spiritual Power. If Zi Shang did not save her, she would end up as meat on the cutting board for the Crown Prince and Su Junqing.
"Come back for what?" Standing at the door, Zi Shang turned his head slightly. His handsome face was filled with a teasing expression, and his black pupils showed an abundance of interest. He was clearly poking fun at Ye Jiuge.
"Come back to spend every day with me and accompany me day and night." Ye Jiuge forced herself to finish the sentence. Goosebumps rose on her entire body, and she felt like she was about to disgust herself to death.
"Since you are so sincere, I will take pity on you and come back." Zi Shang returned to Ye Jiuge's side, bent down in front of her, then said with a smile, "To show your sincerity, give me a kiss."
Ye Jiuge's face twitched. She thought, Why is Zi Shang even more shameless as a human?
"Why are you not saying anything?" Zi Shang raised his eyebrows. Then, as if he had suddenly realized, he said, "I know. You must be thinking that a kiss isn't enough. I don't know what to do with you. Fine, let's have two kisses then!"
Ye Jiuge thought, Two kisses my a*s!
Ye Jiuge wanted to vomit blood, badly.
To prevent Zi Shang from behaving even worse, Ye Jiuge could only brace herself and aim a kiss at his face.
Just then, Zi Shang turned around, and they ended up kissing lip-to-lip.
The contact of soft skin and faint fragrance made the pitch-black jail seem as though it had turned pink with the feelings of love.
As Zi Shang kissed Ye Jiuge, he grabbed the two metal bands on her wrists.
His palm discharged a faint, purple flame, and the metal bands landed on the ground with a thump.
Ye Jiuge could feel the familiar Spiritual Power returning to her body.
She finally sobered up from the intoxication of Zi Shang's kiss, and she pushed him aside immediately.
"We are still missing one kiss. You owe me." Zi Shang placed his long fingers beside his red lips meaningfully as he winked at Ye Jiuge.
"You are making me owe you a debt as soon you are out of my wrist. Why don't you just go back inside?" Ye Jiuge reprimanded him in her heart as she massaged her numb wrists.
The Spirit Restricting Manacles were indeed powerful. She had only worn them for a short while, and her wrists were already hurting.
Although Zi Shang had transformed into a human, he still retained some of his demon snake habits. He immediately took Ye Jiuge in his arms and rested his chin on her head.
After a sniff, he questioned her in disgust, "How long has it been since you washed your hair?"
"I have been busy working every day. When would I find the time to wash my hair?"
While she secretly cursed at Zi Shang for being pretentious and crazy, Ye Jiuge put on a bright and beautiful smile and said, "Please allow me to save Great Master Dongfang and Li Zijun first. After that, I will immediately go and wash my hair to ensure that I smell fragrant, okay?"
"That's better." Zi Shang was quite satisfied with Ye Jiuge's attitude.
"Look. I am by myself, and I have no weapon on me. If I go out now, I will be immediately captured again. My King, do you have any wise ideas?" Ye Jiuge smiled to curry favor with Zi Shang.

"What do you mean?" Ye Jiuge suddenly had a bad feeling.
"It means that later, when we encounter a fight, you will have to go first. If you can't win, I will carry you and flee." Zi Shang flashed her a smile as captivating as the night-blooming cactus blossoming. There was a hint of fragrance as he spoke, and he looked extraordinarily beautiful and alluring.
However, Ye Jiuge only wished that she could punch him.
"Or, if you wish to flee now, that's also possible." Zi Shang showed that he was very democratic.
"Let's fight first." Ye Jiuge had racked her brain for ways to sneak in. It was not her style to escape without even seeing anyone.

After surrendering, she had shown weaknesses in all aspects. She had even allowed Su Junqing to use Mental Manipulation on her so that she could hide her weapon.
Ye Jiuge untied the Lightning Snake Magical Whip and wound it around her waist. Then, she asked Zi Shang, "Can I attack when I am invisible?"
"Sure. However, once you attack, the invisibility will be removed," Zi Shang replied.
"That's good enough." Ye Jiuge sighed with relief. If she could launch a sneak attack, she had a better chance of success.
"Go ahead. I will cover your back." Having said so, Zi Shang turned invisible as well.
Noiselessly, Ye Jiuge left the death cell. On her way out, the soldiers in the jail couldn't see or hear her.
Once she exited the jail, she discovered that many secret guards were lying in wait, ready to ambush. There were also traps everywhere, filled with poisons.
Needless to say, these were intended to prevent Bai Songling and the rest from breaking into the jail to save her.
Ye Jiuge did not alarm the secret guards. Walking quietly on tiptoe, she headed for Medicine Refinery Hall.
Many guards were patrolling the path. Near Medicine Refinery Hall, a sentry was stationed every ten paces.
If it were not for the invisibility symbol that Zi Shang had helped her draw, she would have found it extremely difficult to get near Medicine Refinery Hall.
Ye Jiuge avoided all the guards and secretly sneaked into Dongfang Yao's house.
A strong medicine smell pervaded the entire house.

As soon as her Elixir  Furnace was lit up, the world came to kneel before her. 
Between him and her, it all started with a fair trade. Yet, the handsome demon ended up being obsessed with her. 
“Lay an egg for me, and I’ll promise you a peaceful life in any of the three realms!” He wrapped himself around her eagerly. 
“Leave me alone, and I’ll grant you a long life till eternity!” She pushed him away with a defiant laugh. 
 

Well first of all, cactuses is also accepted as the plural form of cactus. Although cactuses is more common in speech and ordinary usage, cacti is favored in print sources and for scientific uses.

Quite a few people are under the assumption, that you can just cut open a cactus and find some water to drink. However that is a way too optimistic assumption. The moisture found within a cactus is very acidic. This is because succulent plants (plants that store water) need to use a different variant of photosynthesis to avoid evaporation of stored liquids. This method is called Crassulacean Acid Metabolism. The plant would then only open their stomates (plant pores) at night and store the collected carbon dioxide as an organic acid called malic acid. During this process they will also produce oxalic acid. Oxalic acids are toxic to humans as they produce calcium oxalates (creates kidney stones) that can clog up our kidneys. 

Cactus fruit apparently tastes quite bad and the cactus juices will cause diarrhea and vomiting if ingested in excessive amounts or on an empty stomach. This would then dehydrate you even further and kill you faster.

The cactus like plants found in Africa and Madagascar are truly toxic.

It was here––in a German border town almost as remote as the world's end?
Zhang Zian stared at the elfin detection message on the screen, too surprised to speak.
It had been a few days since his arrival in the small town where he was observing the operation of an aquarium. Driving from the house to the aquarium each day, he realized that this was, in fact, a tiny city on its own. The life of the residents was rich and good, but in terms of size and population, it would be a big village in China… 　　
There were only three main streets in the city and the houses were sparsely located. The restaurant which he visited on the first day was the best one here. Foreign tourists never visited the city when they visited Germany; it was so rare to come across another Asian on the street.　　
An elfin could appear in a secluded little town like this? Not to mention a high-ranked elfin!　　
Since the elfin had indeed shown up here, Zhang Zian didn't think any further and opened up the e-map in the game, trying to look for the elfin's location.
To be honest, the last time he had captured Pi in Binhai City Library, the level of difficulty had made him nervous. Had it not been for the hints given by Galaxy in advance or stumbling upon Meng Li, the math professor at the university, then they would have returned empty-handed––even if ten Zhang Zian's had set out to look for the nameless book they probably wouldn't have found it.　
The little German town was tiny, but had everything of every function. There was also a town library. If the elfin appeared inside the library, then he would reconsider whether he should make himself suffer such a pursuit… 　　
However, to his surprise, the icon indicating the elfin's location was not within the town, but near the beach. It was not far from him, actually––just right in front.　　
Galaxy happened to have hidden somewhere in front, so Zhang Zian decided they might as well play hide-and-seek while looking for that elfin.　　
He turned his head and saw Fina taking its time digging in the sand behind him. Each time it saw an object that appeared to be a clam, it took it out of the sand to check it out.
"Fina, walk faster. Aren't you cold? You'll feel warmer once you move faster," he suggested.　　
Snowy Lionet spat at him in anger and sadness. "Pooh pooh pooh! Shut up! You fool her Majesty all day long. Don't you feel guilty about it?"　　
Fina had short hair and was indeed cold in the wind. It lifted its head hesitantly. "But… what if I miss out on the pearls because I walked too fast?"　　
"This is such a long beach. If you are too slow, then maybe the pearls ahead of you will be taken by other people!" Zhang Zian found a random excuse. "How about this: you take your time to search behind me, while I check it out in front. If I find idlers loitering in the area, then I'll send them to build the pyramids on your behalf. What do you think?"　
Fina nodded joyfully. "Sounds like a plan. But they must pay for the ticket to Egypt themselves. I'm not paying."　　
Zhang Zian hinted to Old Time Tea with his eyes. "Grandpa Tea, keep an eye on it for me. I'll go ahead of you."　　
Old Time Tea was also a slow walker; it wanted to take its time to enjoy the ocean's waves. After hearing Zhang Zian's words, it gestured that he could go ahead, while it would stay behind and keep an eye on everything. 　　
Nothing was likely to go wrong on this beach with no people. Zhang Zian summoned Famous and ran forward with it. If someone else saw them, they would surely think that this was a regular person walking his dog on the beach.　　
It was hard to run on the beach, as one's entire body weight and the impact of landing fell on one single foot. Half the foot sank in the sand at each step and it was hard to pull it out.　　
A short distance was fine, but after running for a long time, Zhang Zian's breath came heavier and heavier.　　
It was much easier for Famous to run, as it had four legs and weighed lighter than Zhang Zian.　　
"What's the matter? What's the rush?" it asked while running with its tongue out.

Famous tried to comfort him, "You should have some dreams. What if it comes true?"　
Richard continued to blast, "Even if it comes true, it will never be a River Snail Maiden. Probably a toad fairy!"　　
Zhang Zian didn't have the strength to argue with Richard, as he was out of breath from running. It took advantage of his silence.　　
After a turn, the flat coastline suddenly changed shape and formed a protruding cape at the front, stabbing the sea like a dagger.　　
The cape was full of rocks, with an abandoned lighthouse at the end. Maybe it had been warning the ships of the reefs many years ago.

This sight sent a chill up the spine of everyone watching.
"Hey, who is this guy? That alcohol tolerance is insane!"
"F*ck, is he really drinking tequila? I only ever last two shots before puking it all out!"
"That Lucas is quite unlucky. Thankfully, the only thing they bet on was the bill. If slavery were legal, this idiot would have to sell himself as a slave to pay it off!"
The young Mexican man poured another shot before placing it front of brawny Lucas. "It's your turn."
Sitting in front of Lucas was also a row of empty shot glasses. However, one could clearly see the red color that dyed his face, his unfocused eyes, and smell the strong stench of alcohol coming off of him. With his body unsteadily swaying, it was clear that he was very drunk.
Nevertheless, seeing the shot in front of him, he shakily took the glass and drank it, showing his resolve.
"Good job!"
"Nice going!"
"Cool!"
"That's our Lucas!"
However, this time Lucas really couldn't handle it anymore. The alcohol slowly dripped from the side of his mouth, drenching his shirt.
Li Du waved to the teen for another glass and again gulped it down with a small frown.
As the alcohol entered his stomach, he quickly converted it into energy using the power of the little bug. Like before, he still hadn't recovered his stamina, so none of the alcohol entered his blood.
However, tequila was still an infamous Mexican spirit with a very strong taste. As Li Du drank, he felt as if his mouth was being torn apart by knives.
He didn't enjoy the taste. When he drank the tequila, it seemed like some form of torture.
Thankfully, Lucas was in an even worse state. He had already drunk over twenty shots, equaling to over two thousand milliliters of tequila. This amount was more than enough to put a normal person to sleep.
The crowd was amazed by Li Du's capacity for liquor. Clapping, whistling, and the sound of cameras snapping could be heard from around the table. Li Du was the God of Booze, shocking everyone present. At this moment, no one looked down on him because of his race.
When it was Lucas's turn again, his hand was shaking as it held the shot glass, almost as if he was picking up a very heavy hammer.
"Finish it, Lucas!"
"Embarrass these Flagstaff country bumpkins!"
Lucas took a deep breath, closed his eyes and poured the drink into his mouth.
He really couldn't drink anymore. There seemed to be a tear on the side of his mouth, and the tequila started rushing out.
On the side, Hans let out a wicked smirk and pretended to puke, making a gagging sound.
Hearing this, Lucas couldn't hold it in anymore. Like a man holding in his pee hearing the sound of a waterfall, he collapsed on the table, spewing out all of the alcohol.
The owner of the restaurant came over and announced, "Alright, Hans's Chinese buddy is the winner. Lucas will have to pay the bill."
"Not yet, it's not over yet," Li Du said.
"Buddy, he has already collapsed, don't overdo it," the owner grimly stated.
"No, we bet that the loser would have to pay for this meal, and we haven't eaten anything yet. Big Fox, come over here and start ordering," Lu Du replied.
The crowd gasped at Li Du's request.
"Two servings of spicy tortillas, two tamales, and a Mexican style barbecue pork steak. Also, let's also try a couple of shots of your Emerald tequilas. Just this stuff for now," Hans smirked.
The Mexican owner frowned. "Do you know how much a shot of Emerald tequila costs?"
"Who cares? Someone will take care of the bill either way," Hans said indifferently. "Unless you guys can't afford it. Then we can call it a day."
This immediately caused a wave of displeased murmuring in the surrounding crowd.
The owner of the restaurant stared at Hans fiercely. Finally, he nodded at the teenage server. Soon, an emerald glass of alcohol and multiple plates of food were placed in front of Li Du and Hans.
Several Mexicans sat at the next table with strained expressions. They were waiting for the opportunity to beat them up because, at this type of buffet, you had to finish everything you ordered.
However, the Mexican food there was very authentic, so Li Du happily finished the plates and continued asking for more.
"Sh*t, is this now an eating competition?"
"This time Lucas really lost big," someone pitied.

Under the admiring gaze of everyone, Li Du and Hans swaggered away.
As they got into the car, Li Du's expression immediately changed. "Big Fox, do you really find it amusing making me do the dirty work?" Li Du was not stupid. He could see that Hans was using him to teach that guy a lesson.
"Okay, I apologize. I have some issues with Lucas. However, he's one of the most well-connected treasure hunters, so I was also getting rid of one of our most powerful competitors," Hans explained.
The Cactus Storage Company's auction would be held the day after tomorrow, and with Lucas down with alcohol poisoning for at least a week, there was no way he could attend it.
"Also, I've heard that Lucas contacted a couple of managers from the Cactus company. That bast*rd probably knows where the Yamaha is located."
As Li Du continued to glare at him, Hans raised his hand and swore, "I swear upon my profession, I'm not lying!"
At this, Li Du only let out a snort.
"Alright, then I swear upon my love for Hannah that I'm telling the truth!"
At this, Li Du finally believed him.
When Li Du woke up the next day, he was filled with a lot of energy from the food and alcohol he consumed the day earlier.
With not much time left, Li Du quickly toured the rest of the six storage units of the Cactus company. Even though he once again used up almost all of his energy, he was still unable to find the Yamaha!
Thankfully, they found the set of drums that the bikers talked about, along with a beautiful red grand piano in the unit next-door.
These two items were both quite nice, and probably were the most valuable items in those eleven storages. But Li Du was still frustrated about the missing Yamaha motorcycle!

After eating the cooked meat, The cheetahs were not impressed. They felt cooked meat just was not as juicy as the raw meat. The cheetahs perferred the raw meat. The cheetahs were resting for the night. Every day they work, in this case they had just built their base, and then they rest for the day. They always had something to reward themselves such as meat that they had got along the way, or just a nice rest for the night, which they always tried to get both.

The next morning the cheetahs were getting ready to do some more exploring. This time they would explore another way. The cheetahs set out, and began exploring. They found a very large cactus, much larger then any other they had seen. What they didn't notice was how it was about to break off because of the weight it was having to carry. A cheetah who was standing next to it, had it fall right on top of him.

The cactus fell right onto his back, and he was starting to bleed because of the thorns that were sticking into his back. The cheetah began to make a high pitch sound, saying that he was hurt. The cheetahs were trying to take the cactus off, but it just made the cheetah in even more pain, however it had to be done.

The cheetahs worked together, trying not to grab onto the thorns on the cactus, and pulled the cactus off the cheetah, The cheetah once again made a high pitch sound, this time doing it over and over again, because it felt even more painful when the thorns had just gotten out. Parts of his back started bleeding, and they began to head back to the base.

The cheetahs headed back to the base, dropping the cheetah off there and having an extra cheetah stay just to watch over him. It was now a group of five cheetahs, including Walker who were exploring. They had to be careful for each cactus now, that one however was the only real threatening one, and Walker was not sure why it was so large compared to the others.

The cheetahs were exploring and found a group of tortoises. The tortoises were friendly, and were like the owls. The tortoises lead the cheetahs to their base. The cheetahs looked at their base, and went inside. Their base went up instead of down, and the cheetahs stepped in. 

The tortoises did have a very small basement though, underground, where there were some small logs over to get down, or to just step over. It was in the corner of their home. Before the cheetahs new they even had an underground floor, the largest cheetah accidently stepped on the logs, knocking it down. 

Not only that, he stumbled making himself knock into the walls for the upper floor, and knocked the upper floor down. The cheetahs had just accidently destroyed the tortoises home. The cheetahs had to repay for this, so they decided to have the tortoises follow them to their base, and then show them the forest nearby, which they could help them make some logs, and even maybe build a home next to them.

The cheetahs did the same they had done before, this time though it was much easier. The tortosises didnt need thick logs like the cheetahs did, they just needed thin logs. The cheetahs reasoned with the tortoises about how its better to make an underground base vs making a home that goes up, like the tortoises had previously had. This makes you be able to be safe in case of a sand storm, or rain. Also if a predator comes by, its more difficult for them to see you.

They helped them build a base, using the same way they did for their own base, but just chopping down thinner trees. They used the saw they had used before, and cut down the thin trees, the tortoises being impressed by their talent. 

The cheetahs had finished helping them with their base. They may of destroyed their original base, but they had just built another one, not far from the cheetahs base. It was a pain getting back because of the tortoises going so slow, but the cheetahs put them on their back. There was exactly five tortoises, and exactly five cheetahs had come. This was perfect, so each tortoise would get on a cheetahs back and they went to their base.

Walkers leg wad almost completely better. In about a week he would be able to run as fast as the other cheetahs, with the other cheetahs. He could even race them, find out who is the fastest. After all a cheetahs life doesnt have to be all about survival, it could also be about having fun, of course they have met neighbors, like the owls, now the tortoises. 

The cheetahs had finished building the base, and were about to get ready to continue exploring, the same way they did last time. The cheetahs continued, and had past the cactus, passed the tortoises base, and had found tents. There was tents, with humans inside them. The humans began to pull out bows and arrows, and tried to shoot the cheetahs.

 The cheetahs were ready to get closer and attack the humans, but if they attacked the humans the cheetahs would have a higher risk of getting shot, they had also just figured out about this, and had no plan. They had to retreat. The arrows were getting very close to them, and they began to run away.

The cheetahs were starting to run away, when suddenly an arrow hit a cheetah. It had hit his back leg. It was one of the smaller cheetahs, but larger then Walker. The cheetahs all worked together to carry him, and were soon out of sight of the humans. Finnaly they were back at their base, but not had another problem. A cheetah had an arrow in his leg. 

The Cheetah didnt feel well, he began to feel hot, The arrow was in his back left mid leg. The cheetahs were worried, how would they save him? The blood was spreading everywhere, and it was infected. The cheetahs actually wanted humans to be here now, Not the ones who had just shot the cheetah, The ones they had seen before, who had treated Walker's wound. If they had not treated that, Walker could be dead, it was infected after all

This was the same situation fot the Cheetah, he had an infected leg, an arrow was stuck in it. It was very deep, and if they tried to pull it outbthe cheetah screamed in pain, they couldn't pull the arrow out.

The wound was certainly infected, and thisnleft the cheetahs no choice. They had to, if they didn't the cheetah would die, and thry couldn't loose anyone from their group. The cheetahs had to cut the injured Cheetah's leg off, and they could, because they had a saw.

It was morning and Majin was awoken by Tuff after drooling on him while training last night. She quickly hopped in the shower and afterwards put on her school uniform. She turned the plate of breakfast one of the fairies brought into a plate of sweets and ate em all in one gulp before heading off to class with Tuff behind her. Her training that night was very fruitful. She learned how to create physical matter out of thin air and get an idea of how Babidi's mind control worked but she needed someone to test it on.. And even though she managed to learn magic materialization, she couldn't produce something like the dragon balls, senzu beans, Potaras, or even something like the Tree of Might quite yet. She needs much more practice before she's able to pull off things like that.

Majin was currently on the look out for someone with evil in their hearts that she could try and test her imitation of Babidi's mind control. She instantly refused to try it on Daiko even if she became much more powerful after absorbing his power in the trail Destiny Battle. What if he turned out like Vegeta and is able to resist against her!? She would be helping one of her future enemies. So she decided to test it on someone much weaker and has less potential to screw her over in the future. She arrived in the giant gymnasium and saw many other teachers with their students practicing while others kept looking in certain directions. She saw multiple champions in other classes that weren't hers.

'I guess they chose weak wishes or are trying to keep a low profile for some reason. But it doesn't involve me for now soooo here I come classmates!'

Majin arrived at her class's group which was isolated from the rest of the other students and teachers. There were two others similar to her group in which they were also separated from the other students.

"Majin El. Good to have you here. Class will begin in 5 minutes." Hassle told her.

The champions in her class seemed to have separated themselves and kept to themselves except for the mana battery and Itachi. They were conversing along with the people from this world and not acting aloof or stuck up. The annoying nerdy girl walked up to her.

"Which role did you decide on." She commanded in a non-question-like manner.

"None ya."

She just looked confused.

"That isn't a role the teacher talked about."

"None ya business! Now buzz off, you're going to scare away my potential friends and classmates." Majin said while shooing away the girl.

"I won't let you escape so easily Majin El! I will get my payback. Even if the gods don't allow us to kill each other outside of Destiny Battles." She said while walking away and then staring at her from afar.

Majin rolled her eyes and looked among the regular s-ranked students in her class. She tried to see which one of them seemed like a dirty evil son of a gun for her to test her magic on. The mummy girl, frog head guy, cactus boy, clown boy, or human-sized centaur girl… She saw the mana battery girl chatting with mummy girl, so she crossed her off the list and Itachi was talking to clown boy so, he was also checked out. Cactus was being anti-social like the rest of the champions and the centaur girl was reading a book.

Majin walked towards cactus boy and approached him with a smile. He turned around and crossed his cactus stub arms.

"Hi there! My name is Majin El. Would you like to be my friend?" She asked innocently.

He spat a thin cactus thorn at her and nearly cut her face if she didn't inconspicuously dodge it and act like it didn't even happen.

'Oh yeah he's my guy. I'll teach you to try and mess this pretty face up..'

"Attention! I will divide you all into 4 groups. Defenders, Mages, Supports, and Ranged. Line up right here for which role you chose." Hassle commanded.

Itachi and clown boy were the only ones who lined up for Mage. Harpy girl, the mana battery, the perverted fatty, the centaur girl, and mummy girl lined up for Support. Only frog guy chose to be Ranged. Daiko, the annoying nerdy girl, and cactus boy lined up for defenders while Majin didn't get in any lines.

"Did you not decide even after a long night of thinking Ms. El?" Hassle questioned.

"That's not it Teach. It's just that I'm so good at everything, I couldn't just choose one! I think that limiting myself to only one role would be terrible for my potential as a super s-rank student." Majin explained.

"Get in line with Mr. Lenguinski. We'll talk after class." Hassle said while pointing at the lone frog guy.

"Hai hai!" Majin responded while standing behind Froggy.

"I have been given the reports of where your talents lie and we will began training the fundamentals. Like any freshling should. I explained the purpose of each roles yesterday, so Mages, get to work on controlling your mana flow through meditation. Supports will do the same for now since none of you are a physical combatant. Defenders will be training their bodies. Ranged will practice on their bodies before moving on to working on their aiming." Hassle explained.

He then went on to show everyone what they should be doing until he reached her and the frog guy. She was told to do some basic exercises along with Froggy before having to take down the teacher's magic discs made of shadow magic. Seeing him perform the shadow magic made her like Hassle even more. She could just watch other people use magic and be able to instantly learn how to do it! Realizing this, she quickly infused mana in her eyes and looked around the entire gymnasium at all the students performing magic, even the champions hiding away their talents and prowess! Gaining multiple elemental magics and laughing gleefully to herself while her partner was firing magic-infused arrows at the teacher's shadow discs.

One of the disc aimed for her head while she was hysterical and Tuff punched it with his spiked gloves, breaking it apart and then looking at Majin. She came to after Tuff repeatedly took down more shadow discs aiming for her and a certain someone coming up to her.

"Ms. El, can you give me an explanation on what you are doing?" He asked politely.

This nice act of this beautifully muscled teacher is really ruining it for her fantasies.

"I had a brain fart teacher. I'm sorry I'll focus on training now!" She said while bowing slightly towards Hassle and Tuff looking out for anymore black discs excitedly.

She crouched down and had Tuff stand in front of her to ward off any lookers before magically creating a slingshot and rocks for her to use. Although she never used a slingshot, she watched animes and cartoons where they were used so that should be good enough, and the fact that she's Majin Buu so mastering this weapon should be a piece of cake.

She got up and aimed at the flying discs before taking them out within seconds with only her pure strength and magically created rocks. The teacher was forced to create more and more discs but Majin easily took those out and robbed Froggy from practicing.

"Hey, do you mind not destroying all of them? I can't get any practice in if you break them all." Froggy asked.

Majin looked at him in annoyance before stopping.

'Couldn't you just be a jerk and get angry and try to duel me or something. Now I definitely need to get that cactus guy to practice on..'

She believed she trained enough in the way of the Ranged. She continued to look around the gymnasium for more and more elements to gain and eventually master later on. Tuff on the other hand was entertained by breaking the black discs and glided after the black discs, forcing Froggy to avoid hitting him with his propulsion type magic arrows. One arrows flew a bit too close to Tuff and he shattered it with a punch before smiling at Froggy. Tuff laughed as he continued to destroy both Froggy's arrows and the black discs before the teacher stopped creating the discs from his shadow magic and halting the class.

"Class will end here for today. Mages and Supports, continue your meditation to increase your mana control. Defenders do light warm ups tomorrow. Ranged do light warm ups and work more on your aim. Dismissed."

Majin quickly walked over to the cactus guy and put her arms around his neck, ignoring the thorns trying to pierce through her skin.

"So buddddy, how bout you and me go on a little date? I have the perfect place in mind. What do you say?"

"Buzz o-----" His mouth was covered by Majin and Tuff picked him before they took off through the halls with their new friend.

Even though a majority of students saw them, they thought of them just as friends playing around and did nothing to stop it. Majin kicked open her door and was about to throw the boy in her room until the girl's RA (Resident Assistant) stopped her.

"NO BOYS ALLOWED IN THE GIRL'S WING!" A spectacled eagle headed girl yelled at her.

"EAT ME LOSER!" Majin quickly threw the boy on her bed and ran inside and locked the door behind her.

'The good thing about a magical dorm room is that no one can get in your room without your permission.' Majin thought before hearing loud banging on her door.

She giggled mischievously before blocking out sounds coming from outside her room and watching Tuff stand on top of cactus boy. He covered himself in a full body metal suit made of magic and Tuff punched him in the cactus stomach, shattering the armor into pieces and knocking him unconscious. Majin smiled before hugging and kissing Tuff.

"Good boy! Mama is so very proud of you!" Tuff laughed and giggled before being put down by Majin and her turning off the lights and closing the blinds.

Small wisps of flame lit up the room as Majin stood over the boy's body, creating a spooky ambience before testing and practicing her magic on him. She tried to use the mind control magic on Tuff last night, but Tuff was an innocent soul. She couldn't get a hold of any evil in his heart or thoughts. But this cactus boy was perfect. She already found evil inside his heart that she could take advantage of. Now she just needed to find his hidden potential and force it beyond his natural limits. So he could be put to good use after this..

*HOURS LATER*

Majin and Tuff were standing near the door with a completely reformed henchman under their control. Leon was the cactus boy's name. And the pink M now on the center of his head was proof of her success. Majin was pretty proud of her success, but wouldn't let this hinder her from future magical training. Leon now had to ability to perfectly control his mana control, his cactus thorns were harder and sharper, and other benefits to being mind controlled with her sorcery.

"Alrighty Leon my boy! Get outta here and we'll see what you can do tomorrow." Majin said as Leon left her dorm room and went elsewhere.

She then took a quick 2 hour nap before trying to enhance Tuff as well with magic. She enhanced his spiked gloves and boots, that were definitely too big compared to his body, with spells that would increase his strength. After doing that she practiced and experimented with her magic until it was time to go to class once more.

*LATER*

Nothing of importance happened in class just normal ole learning so, Majin and Tuff took Leon to the adventurer guild and went on a quest to see how strong he is now. They were tasked with killing an ape demon that has been terrorizing multiple villages in the outside territories within the kingdom. It didn't take them long to find the demon. It left a trail of clues right towards it and led the group towards a village currently being assaulted by the demon. The village of horned humans were fleeing and trying to escape to safety while the village's warriors tried to gain the demon's attention. One man jumped and tried to slash the ape but was violently smashed into the ground and severely injured. Majin and Tuff watched as Leon covered himself in metal using his metal magic and shot off like a rocket towards the big ape.

The ape was too busy trying to crush and smash the people to notice the flying silver bullet thing flying towards it's back and received a terrible hole through it's chest as Leon shot through the demon's back and landed in front of it. Purple blood spurt out from it's wound as it looked at Leon with hatred and confusion. Even Majin was slightly surprised. This was her first demon she has encountered in this world so far, so she expected much more out of it. But soon she noticed the gaping hole slowly healing and Leon just watching it heal.

"An arrogant guy? I know the mark gave him a large boost in power but I don't think he can heal… And finding another lackey seems troublesome… Well let's just see what he can do Tuff, if he can't handle it go in and save him for Mama." Majin said while rubbing Tuffs head and healing the injured soldier from a distance.

The two stood away from each other and all the villagers and soldiers fled to a safe distance before also watching. The ape demon fully healed and Leon, covered completely in his magic metal armor, formed a large metal needle to wield in his hands. The ape demon beat his chest repeatedly before leaping towards Leon with his giant fists. The demon tried to smash Leon into the ground by bashing him from above but Leon shot out numerous metal shards from his armor at the beast and stabbed through its heart. The demon's fist never even managed to scratch Leon's armor before it passed away on his large needle weapon. The villagers ran out happily to celebrate their defender.

"Thank you kind knight! May we learn the name of our savior?" An old cane holding man said while slightly bowing with shaking knees.

Leon looked at the people before taking off towards Majin and Tuff. When he arrived near her, she slapped him in the head.

"You forgot the body you idiot! We need to take back the heart or the blood for proof!" Majin yelled.

Leon covered the corpse in silvery liquid metal and had it trail behind him as they journeyed back towards the guild. They turned in the body and Majin took the money. She told Leon to return back to the academy while she walked up to the receptionist.

"You wouldn't have anymore demon subjugation quests do you..?" Majin asked suspiciously.

The receptionist's eyes turned sharp.

"No. You took the last one for your rank." She said.

"Could I maybe take a B-rank quest? I mean I've been a C-rank for like 2 or 3 days now, I think it's time for me to move ahead in life.." Majin told her.

Her eyebrows twitched slightly.

"Not until you take another assessment or go on the quest with a B-rank adventurer."

"I'll take the assessment." Majin responded quickly.

Her eyebrows twitched some more.

"Follow me."

She led her to the testing room she been to before with the same strong looking lizard skinned guy waiting for her. She grinned as the receptionist teleported out of the room.

"Defeat me or force me to fight seriously and you will become a B-rank." He told her.

He seemed to be letting her get the first move because he wasn't doing anything. Majin decided to fight a bit differently than she did last time. What would be the point of copying all those different elements she saw today if she didn't put them to use?! She held out her hand and fired a water ball at him with her finger.

"A spell without using a medium.. Very impressive." He commented before punching it into small droplets.

Majin used her fingers like finger guns and fired water bullets at the B-rank adventurer repeatedly. At first he was getting rid of them with punches and kicks until the water attacks got stronger and he was forced to dodge them. Majin smiled at him before unleashing a rapid-fire round of water blasts that homed in on their target, forcing him to finally use his magic. Sand magic!

He was a physical magus. He used his sand as an armor while coating his weak points in sand. Majin just focused on his any part of his body that wasn't coated. His shoulders, legs, arms, stomach, back, whichever she could get a hit on until the B-rank adventurer fell to his knees exhausted and heavily bruised and injured. Majin bet some of his bones were cracked and nearly broken from how badly he was shaking.

"You….. Passed…." He fell unconscious and the receptionist teleported in with a handsome young boy.

The boy avoided her like a plague as he went over to heal the B-rank adventurer and the receptionist told her she is now a B-ranked adventurer and to get out.

"But what about my quest?!" Majin asked the receptionist.

"Out." She said as she teleported Majin and Tuff outside the guild.

"What the heck kind of service is that!? I'll show that receptionist whose boss one of these days!" Majin said before returning back to Blue Blood Academy.
