At a cursory glance, the lore describes an apocalyptic scenario in the far future and the only way to avoid it is through unifying the universe under a single rule and developing a powerful military in preparation to it.

To achieve this players have to rise in ranks and power in the game and in the process gaining control of their planet. There is no limitation on the players to play individually, they can form groups and tackle the game. 

When the game was first launched wars between different civilizations was not possible as they have no resources and their home region is filled with monsters. Since a long time has passed after the game is released players were able to gain control of the planet and started waging war on others. It is very difficult for a single player to occupy a planet in this game so usually, it is done by big gaming guilds and sometimes an entire civilization, creating their territory in the game. 

Alyx just skimmed through these details regarding the game and entered the portal.  A player can either join existing forces in the game or start on some unoccupied planet and create their own faction in the game. All the easier planets are already occupied and only the difficult planets with powerful monsters are left behind. There are restrictions on players on what they can use to occupy a planet with monsters so they can't attack an unoccupied planet with powerful planetary scale weapons, this is to enable new players a chance to create their own faction in the game.

Alyx decided to create a character with the same appearance as him but was not able to choose Aons as a starting character and since there are no humans in Aonverse he can maintain his current appearance only if he chooses to create a new race in the game. 

There are certain benefits of choosing existing character races and these cannot be enjoyed by creating a new race in the game. Alyx did not care about those benefits and created humanity as a new race in the game.

He then decided to enter the game on an unoccupied planet as he just wanted to fight some monsters. The players in the game can go to any planet they want as they have portable teleportation devices. Teleportation is possible in real life but it is inefficient and has many restrictions. In the game, teleportation is cheap and easy to use compared to real life, so it became the norm for traveling.

Alyx appeared in a lush forest with tall trees reaching hundreds of meters and whose trunk require more than ten people to surround. Alyx felt like he returned to the surface of MBN but he could see Ax floating on his shoulder and looking around similar to him. All around him there were trees and he could also see other players entering the planet similar to him. Although players cannot wage a war on unoccupied planets they can still enter the planet to gather resources. Planets with greater difficulty contain rare resources and the body parts of the monsters are also useful.

Alyx did not want to have anything to do with these other players and quickly entered into the forest through the path ahead of him, it is a long and winding dirt path ahead of the place he was teleported to and where all the players are gathered. As soon as Alyx entered on it he could feel himself passing through some kind of membrane and he knew why no monster was present in the region where he was teleported as it was being isolated by a protective field.

After travelling on the path for some time it branched out into various smaller routes. At first he thought he would be followed and attacked by other players as there was no rule forbidding such actions but looks like the players were waiting for their team members and did not care about him. Although Alyx was being paranoid he did not know that they were laughing at him for going solo into a high-level monster zone, they ignored him thinking that he was a newbie to the game.

Although it was a high-level monster zone it still had weaker monsters near to the teleportation point as it was a game so Alyx was able to hunt monsters for the first time. Even when he went on a hunting trip with Blag on MBN he did not do anything so it was his first hunt after becoming an Aon.

The first monster he faced was some kind of herbivore eating leaves from shrubs in the forest. It was similar to a rhino and very passive if not provoked so most players ignore it as they don't gain much experience by killing it.

Alyx was at level zero and this rhino was at level one but he still attacked with the basic crossbow he had on him. He shot the rhino after climbing a tree and was disappointed to see his arrow only leaving a shallow wound on its body.

The rhino became enraged and started to search for the attacker.

Death was just the beginning.

They could only gain experience by killing players, NPC, or other demonic monster. If they killed an ordinary monster like the orcs, Auron face before, they would not get any experience.

Another thing that differentiate demonic monster with ordinary monster was the ability to breed. By sacrificing some level, the demonic monster could breed to a new demonic monster and that new demonic monster would be loyal to who gave birth to them.

When breeding, half of the sacrificed level would become the level of the newly born demonic monster. So, let say a demonic monster had sacrificed 50 levels then, the newly born demonic monster would have 25 as his level. Fortunately, not all of the demonic monster had these breeding ability. Only the original demonic monster would have these ability.

Meanwhile, a demonic monster would have a maximum level of 1000 just like a players. However, they would gain double the experience a player would get when killing others. Moreover, the original demonic monster would also gained a little portion of experience when his subordinate demonic monster killed the others.

In the post also stated that demonic monster was a tribal creature. They would gather together with others who were the same as them and would fight demonic monster from other tribe. Their tribe leader would be the original demonic monster who had the ability to breed.

Like this, if you killed the demonic monster tribe leader, then they would lose the ability to reproduce. Without the ability to reproduce they would only waited for the day they died before their tribe became forgotten. However, to kill a demonic monster tribe leader was not simple. They would use all means to protect their leader, by sacrificing themselves or even allying with another demonic tribe.

The post also stated that, after the update, there would be 13 types of demonic monster which mean there would be 13 demonic monster tribe in Gaia. Since the demonic monster could reproduce then they would need to quickly eradicate this demonic monster if they didn't want to be overwhelm by the demonic monster.

"A huge trouble come to Gaia" Auron sighed after reading the updates.

He didn't know how this updates would affect Gaia, however he knew that it would not have a good impact on them. 

"After the war, then comes the demonic monster." Auron thought about what would happen to Gaia.

"Hopefully, we have a good result in the war."

Auron felt dejected. After what happened in his war, the Fourth Prince suffered heavy injuries, they lose the village, only less than 10 survivors. All of this would make others felt dejected. He knew the result of his battle was not good, but he didn't know the result about other battle. He could just hope that the other battle would not turned out as bad as his battle.

Nothing to do, Auron called Roan to say hi and talking about many things. In the game, they rarely contact each other since they busy with their own business. He wanted to know how the Dragon's Den progressed as well as asking about Keiran current condition.

Soon, the game would finish its update and Auron could finally played again. However, when there was about one hour left, a shocking news appeared on the forum. A post quickly going up because of the reply in the post until the forum administrator decided to pinned the message.

The post was not about the new update or some speculation about Black Sheep, rather it was about some players. And, it just not the average players but the ranked player in each of their class.

In the post, the current first ranked player from thief, cleric, mage, and archer had stated that they would defect to Regalia and also asked the forgiveness from others. Many comment spouted out in the forum.

Some cursed them because they defected to the enemy, some express their willingness to follow them. Some question why the swordsman and merchant not included in the list which was replied by Raging Bull, the current first ranked in swordsman class, that he got the offer but he already declined the offer and he didn't forget to curse and mock the defected member. The current first ranked merchant also stated the same answer as Raging Bull without the cursing.

A huge controversial, but for current Auron he didn't really care about all of that. He just wanted to be kept updated about the current news. Then, when the update time had passed, Auron went on to his game capsule and login into the game.
