Greetings to all my readers, I wish to say something to you.

Firstly, I want to apologise to all of you. All those who have found this fanfic to be enjoyable, I truly apologise to you for not so inconsistent in writing the chapters of this fanfic or responding to you all. There have been multiple reasons for why I was inconsistent but it doesn't change the fact. I hope you forgive me.

Honestly speaking, I had started writing this fanfic with nothing concrete in my mind. I was just fed up of fanfic in those days that I felt that I must write something better than fanfics with those pussy main characters and all. I didn't expect you all to like this much, however, much can be contributed to the fact that it was one of the first Against the Gods Fanfic here. Nevertheless, I am very glad for all the support you have shown me.

Even before I had started writing this fanfic, I had been writing a novel. It isn't a lewd novel I guess haha... It's something I have been working on since 2-3 years. Its outlook is also not like that of an official novel but still, I have done all I can do alone, writing the novel, editing it and everything. Some friends helped me, but eventually, I completed it by myself.

I am from India, and in 3rd year of my Engineering. I guess I found my passion too late as I had already joined the college and wanted to graduate before working actively in the writing field. However, near the end of my first year, I had already started writing this Fanfic. Perhaps it was because of my lust of popularity or because I also wanted to write a Douluo Dalu fanfic, I started writing about it too. I guess I chewed off more than I could bite. Writing three novels at the same time was far too taxing. Especially when I had to give out regular chapters. I even started using p.atreon to collect money for advance chapters because I wanted to prove to my parents that I could earn through writing as well. My parents were convinced but I was seriously exhausted after a month or two. I couldn't go anywhere and spent all my time on discord or writing.

After that, I was interested in a girl I met online. She was from the same country as me. I was infatuated with her. The time talking to her was so relaxing that I slowly found myself getting out of writing. I slowly reduced my time in writing and started to talk with her more. However, she soon found someone else she liked so I got a little angry. We had a quarrel and I was pretty much pathetically depressed. I know I was in the wrong but I still couldn't control my emotions at that time. I was quite pathetic, I guess. Haha...

Anyway, I am out of depression. I had started watching animes again because of a bit of my free time and study for engineering. (I pretty much failed in quite a few subjects in a few semesters so I had to reappear in those exams again. Had to study all that too...) In a bit of my free time, I read some novels. I tried to improve my writing style and felt that it has improved a lot. During that time, I kept my mind focused on my main novel and kept everything aside. I just wrote something now and then for fun. It was to try out whether it would look appropriate in my main novel or not.

I have said it before but I guess I will say it again, I wish to turn this story into a manga story. I know I am not from Japan, it's probably a little preposterous for me to think of making manga and publishing it. Even after that, I have little hope of gaining popularity. However, I still want to make a manga. I am going to hire an artist and discuss a long term plan with him to ensure that it would come to reality even if it costs me a lot.

Currently, I have released my novel on the Kindle (Amazon), I won't say you must buy it. In fact, I urge you not to buy it if you do not like it. That will be your own decision. I just want you to read the free preview available on kindle, just tell me if you like it or not. I just want to know a bit of your viewpoint if you will like the story or not... I haven't asked anyone known to me to review the novel because the first few reviews I wish for are the true reviews. I just want to know whether my story is worth reading or not and let you be the judge of this fact.

As for the questions concerning this fanfic, I do have a few ideas planned. My online classes are probably going to be suspended in a few days because of some ridiculous news in our country.     I wake up early this day dairy because you know I have online class to attend and our prof is quite strict when it comes to our attendance. What's more to say, it hot here dairy because well it's summer and I even forgot to take a bath yesterday.

And sometimes I just simply forgot about the interview. Well, one time I remembered it… 5 minutes before. And when that happened I wasn't shocked or sad or had a mini heart attack, I was just like "well, it seems I'm not getting that job. Anyway…"
So, yeah…
But then, after I saw some starting publisher was looking for comics and manga artists, I decided to distract myself from my constant failures learning a new useless ability. Again. So I bought some how-to-draw-manga books, some mechanical pencils, a sketchbook and a couple specialized pens for the inking and started to watch some how-to-draw tutorials. 
As the time passed by I began to understand how precise drawing is—a line half a millimeter to the left or right, or a slightly sharper curve could make the different of a really neat drawing or a piece of garbage—and how complex is the world we live in: reality could broke down in infinite shapes that are combined in infinite ways—and it's really important to understand them well to get the light and shadows right—how incredibly complex is the human body, and how incredibly well artist understand it; how artist must understand extremely well what they're drawing, and how you need to practice anything you're drawing—not only any object but parts of the human body, like hands (they're so free and active and important there's an infinite amount of ways to draw them, and an infinite amount of ways to get them wrong, but I like to draw them, though,) legs (they're a little complex because the shape of both the thighs and the calves are a little asymmetrical and change depending on the perspective, and the knees are slightly tilted and pointing outwards,) body proportions (it's just hell to get everything right,) hair (there are an infinite amount of hair types and styles, and you need to make hair strands a little bit varied to make them look natural but I always end up making them exactly the same or extremely similar, so they end up looking weird,) eyes (there are a lot of shapes and sizes, so I always end up drawing the same ones, and I'm really avoiding drawing pupils because they end up looking like serial killers,) eyelashes (believe it or not, I have some problems when it comes to make them look right and not like ugly thorns coming out of someone's eyes,) arms (because they're not just cylinders, they change slightly in size and shape especially in the elbow area,) feet (I have problems to draw them in some specific angles and viewpoints;) and different other things relating to a character, like expressions (there are so many of them, and a lot are so similar it's really easy to draw the wrong one, and at the moment you're about to draw them, you realize you only have a vague idea of how they are, so you start making those expressions while looking at the mirror, or the front screen of your phone,) body language (same thing as the previous one,) and clothing (there are so many different types and styles, and I have a really hard time drawing folds that look natural and express how tight or loose the clothing is.)   
Also I began to understand inking is extremely precise and, for most of the time, a pain in the ass—even if you're the most careful you can be, the chances you'd draw a wrong line and screw everything up are really high, especially with hands. 
It doesn't matter how much time you spend making your drawings as best as you can, they'll immediately look like shit.
Also, I don't know why but, once you inked your whole drawings, you then realize the arms are too long, or the hair was placed too high, or the eyes aren't that aligned, or the eyebrows are too thick, or the nose is a little too big, or the torso was too thin, or too thick, or the legs were too long, or etcetera.
And also also, since I wanna draw comics, I have to choose the size and shape of each panel (and this is more important than you think because it can help your storytelling and the rhythm of it,) the scene, the viewpoint, the character's poses, the backgrounds and etcetera.
What I'm trying to say here is that there's A LOT of variables when it comes to drawing, and I have to master ALL of them.
Anyway, for the next month or so I spent most of my day reading—mostly manga and comic theory books by Will Eisner and Scott McCloud—writing, learning how to draw manga style, watching anime and taking screenshots of characters I wanted to draw—maybe because of their expression, their hairstyle, the light and shadow on their faces, their hands, the folds in their clothing, their body pose, and so on.
Nothing else happened, but at least I haven't felt that happy since ages—I never really thought I could survive as a comic/manga artist, to be honest, but it was nice to forget about everything else and draw.
But I still needed a job, especially when that starting publisher struggled to sell all the comics they started printing.
So I started to look for a job. Again.
Then, one day, I was buying some groceries and, in my way to the checkout, I stumbled with their Funko Pops on sale. Now, I'm not a really big fan of those figures, but I had more than a couple of them at home, so I decided to check them out.
There I found some Yu Yu Hakusho figures—Botan, Kurama, and Hiei. Now, this last one caught my eye because of that "Special Edition" sticker.
Just out of curiosity, I took my phone and checked how much it was selling online—they're normally cheaper there.
But there wasn't anyone selling them in my country—except for some really sketchy post of buy-it-now-and-we'll-order-it-from-China-and-in-a-month-or-two-you'll-receive-the-totally-legit-not-fake-funko-you-ordered.
For me it seemed like a really good business opportunity.
So I bought it and sold it online in two days.
I tripled its price.
But I could totally sell it at a higher price.
And considering taxes and commissions, I didn't get that much, but I still got a good deal, though.
So I had a bad business idea.
How about I started checking everywhere for opportunities like this. Or how about I started buying Funko Pops that were common now, but will definitely increase they value in a year or so—like that Spike Spiegel Funko I decided not to buy a couple years ago, and now it's worth like ten times its original value or something.
Think about it: a business specialized not in selling the same Funko Pops everyone's selling, but the rare ones, the discontinued ones; the kinda place collectors would get the figures they can't find anymore.
It could be a good business opportunity—even though the fact it could be doesn't mean it will be. 
Anyway, I was excited with the idea, so I started dedicating all my mornings to look for rare and cheap Funko Pops—and all my afternoons to read, write and learn how to draw. 
The first day I visited some convenience stores. Some of them had a few ones, but they weren't that interesting—all of them were sold even cheaper everywhere online.
I also visited a geek store near there. They had A LOT of Funkos. Walls and walls of them, so I spent a lot of time looking for the ones I didn't see everywhere/knew they were basically worthless, taking pictures of the interesting ones, looking for them online, asking the clerk about their prices, and getting disappointed because they were expensive. 
Except for one: a Guillermo del Toro Funko Pop!
I didn't know that existed, so I checked online, and they were some on sale, but at a really high price.
When I asked the clerk for the price on that one, he told me it was on clearance.
So I obviously bought it.
I sold it the same day—even though I was almost certain no one would want it.
Then I start buying more and more of those Funkos. At first I just bought the ones that were cheaper than other places and may increase their price in the future—like a SSJ Goku glow in the dark, a Darth Maul, a Jackie Chun Limited Edition.
I then realized I spent a considerable amount of money—but nothing to worry too much about; I just used a big part of my emergency savings, and not my life saving (which I'm not gonna touch for this.)
So I decided to start thinking a little bit more about my investments. I checked online for all the offers available for the franchises that seemed promising to me—you know, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Disney, Evangelion, Naruto, Star Wars, and so on. And when I say all, I mean all—we're talking the bottom of the barrel here.
I found a cheap Cowbow Bebop collection—everything except Spike and Ed with Ein—at a really cheap price—but when I bought it the seller backed down because he solved his financial problem that made him offer that part of his personal collection, and I was happy but sad about it.
I also found a cheap Evangelion collection—Summer Convention Asuka, regular Asuka, Shinji, Rei and a bloody Eva Unit 1. The limited Asuka had a little bump on the bottom, but considering the price it was worth it.
Except I already had a bloody Eva Unit 1.
At first I was like: "It's Evangelion, it's a safe investment. And those are exclusives. They're gonna increase their price in no time."
And then I was like: "Maybe, but I don't need two of them. Besides, the Eva I have right now has a free change or refund warranty from the site—the country's equivalent to eBay." 
So I bought that guy's collection.
Then I waited its arrival—all the figures were in really good conditions, even the Convention Asuka, whose bump wasn't that big of a deal—checked both Evas and returned the one in the least great condition—which was the one I had in the first place. 
The company that sold me the first one asked me why I wanted the refund, and I said I didn't need it anymore or something like that. Then they just texted me: "well, we'll losing money for the return shipment, but it's fine."
That same day, I received a couple Funkos I bought online from different sellers—a Rock Lee and an Itachi. The last one even came with a protector box—you know, the plastic and transparent ones that are supposed to keep your Funko in pristine conditions. 
But underneath the protector box I could see the Funko's box was kinda broken.
Irony, I know.
When I tried to return it, I realize this one didn't have the free change & refund warranty, so I had talk to the seller and convince him to change my product for free. 
And the seller was none other than the one of the passive-aggressive text.
So, I sent them the most apologetic message I could write.
They just told me to return the Funko and gave me a refund.
And that was that.
Then I came to the conclusion I still wasn't investing and managing my improvised store smartly enough, so I made an Excel file with all the items I considered interesting from all the stores and sites I visited: it had their price; the lowest price I could sell it in different sites—the eBay equivalent, Amazon (I'm currently working to be a seller there, but it's not that easy,) Facebook Marketplace, and maybe eBay (I still have to check out everything about that site, though, but it seems really worth it)—considering taxes, shipping and the site's commission; the suggested price to sell it in each site with a moderate profit margin; the profit margin I would be earning depending on the price I decided to sell it; the lowest prices from the competitors from each site; the profit margin I would be making if I sold it at those prices.
Also the file had my inventory and all the data about profit, competitor's prices, suggested price, etcetera.
It also has a simple calculator with all that data so I could check really quickly if an offer was worth my interest or not.
I know, I know, that's what Excel's for, and most people could do something way better in a blink of an eye.
But this is something I made with no job experience in that regard. 
I haven't used Excel since college.
And I think I did pretty well, so I'm proud of myself.
Anyway, when I finish preparing this improvised business maybe I'd need to get a job to get some money to invest—and to recover my previous investment, and to save a little... if I can.

So maybe I'll have to start the job-looking cycle once again.

Time passed as he and his friends turn fourteen that's when he bought the smartphone that changed his way of life .
It was then he watched his first anime it was not like the animes he watched in tv it was completely different, to him it was as if he found something that he always carved for like he found completely new world that he can live on and always dream about.

From then on he completely drowned in the new world he found but that doesn't means he forgot to go to his school,his scores were as good  as always it's just, at that time a new student transfer to his school from a different place and soon they become friends and he learned that he also use to come first in his school that's the reason that qing feng came 2'nd at the end of the year exam. 

But he was not sad,, on the other hand ha was happy for his friend and also he had his own world of anime as well so he didn't mind about the exam scores, his other friends ware good at academic but not at the his level 

But at the next year change everything, it was at the start of the year when he almost finished watching every good anime that were available online for free of changes, he was sad that all the anime were finish but that didn't last long thow  next qing feng found out about novel. 

Qing Feng  didn't wast a single moment  after learning about fantasy  novel and immediately searched for it and found that there are hundreds of novels to be read that mean hundreds of New world. 

Day's passed and qing feng keep reading and reading but his exam scores didn't lowered a single bit, slowly the days that he goes to school decrease and at the end he became a shut in, other than the time for his own need qing feng Stop coming out of his room, more then a year passed like that.

Now it was the time of governments board exem of them . he also took part in  the exem,

The exam lasted for about two weeks and he and his friends finished the exem and now it was the time for two months holiday before the scouts are out, so it was his best time to read novel and manga. 

Qing Feng was a shut in, but he never wasted his time, the time he was in his room he also became interest in learning different language's so he learned Chinese , english, for reading novel and manga that he found online. .
At home his mother, father and brother tried to make him go out of his room but failed, now speaking of brother he always for some reason hate him so qing feng also hate him there where time they fought but to qing feng the brother is also family and like that days pass ..

Soon the holidays were over and it was the time for the scores of the board exem to be announced, it was also the time that qing feng   and friends turned sixteen years old as  well.

"It has nothing to do with you," I only say. "Now begone." 

"Huh?! Of course, it has something to do with me. What will happen to you if there are boys in there? You know boys are sharks." he dismissed what I said again and continues interrogating me. 

"and that makes you a shark also. What a lame comparison." I boringly mumble. 

"No, I am not a shark. I am a..." he's likely thinking about something cool he can relate to himself. 

"You are a piece of shit that I want to disappear inside my room."I nonchalantly say. 

"Ouch!! By the way twinnie can I borrow your-"finally telling me his real motive. 

"No." I interrupted him before he even completes what he is even going to say. 

Because I know. He is only going to borrow something from me and he won't give it back to me again. It's like saying goodbye to my things if I let him borrow them. 

"I do not even finish Eury."He pouts again at me and acts like a child that you want to throw in a cliff. 

"Can you please stop calling me like that Trashiro?" I say it to him in an ominous tone. 

"Then let me borrow your manga." He eventually says it. 

"No." I directly reject him. 

"Please twin, don't be so mean with me." this guy is extremely irritating. 

"If you want to borrow something can you please consider bringing back the things you've borrowed last time from me?" I calmly plead. 

"Ah.. well I will bring it back again to you just let me borrow your manga." this guy is desperate. 

"Hearing you compromise like that makes me don't want to let it borrow to you even more," I say to him. 

"Hmph. I want to read the latest chapter because I want to spoil it to Shiloh." My twin brother is a shitty person. 

Shiloh reads manga too? What kind of manga? 

"That gives me more reason why I shouldn't let you borrow it so begone."

It's our free time right now and I am at the library to read one of my favorite manga. The library is an ideal place to read it. It's a peaceful place and there are only a few people who come in here to read. Now let's start reading peacefully. 

just after few minutes 

I can't read quietly in here because of the snoring sound I keep hearing from the guy napping in my back. There are few people in the library always. Sometimes if I am lucky there's only me. But now I am being so unlucky. 

Why is this guy so insensitive? Does the library look like a hotel for him to sleep in? 

I turned around to face him. I want to kick him to wake him up but that's against human law. 

But he's being too noisy and I think it's also against the law. How about just by making him quiet so that he may not cause any trouble to anyone especially me. I'll be the hero. 

I went over to his table to make him silent. 

I sat down in front of him and took my pen out from my pocket. 

To stab this guy to death. 

Just kidding I won't do that. 

I poked him using my pen. 

I don't want to get my hand dirty by poking him. I don't know what kind of germ this person has anyway. 

"Wake up..." I am only whispering to him because I don't want to disturb anyone. 

Is he dead? But dead people can't snore anymore. 

"Wake up..." I try to wake him up again. This guy is awful. 

I stand up and sit down beside him to shake him. 

As I take a little closer to him he looks familiar to me. I mean his body build. His face is covered by his both arms that's why I can't see who's this person is but based on his body he looks like someone familiar to me. 

Who's idiot guy do I know that has a body like this? 

Idiot brother? Hmm Nah. 

Idiot brother's friend? hmm, Troy? Nah.. and I don't pay any attention to him that's why I can't tell if it's him. 

Idiot...? Shiloh? he's not an idiot though. Maybe? 

Just slightly above normal. 

"Ahh.." the guy beside me sleeping started groaning. His voice is familiar too. 

He finally wakes up from sleeping and starts stretching. 

He looks in my direction while stretching and ignores me at first but looked back again and in surprise this time. 

"Eury?" He says in a very shocked tone. I just nod in response. 

His face turns red in an instant and immediately buries his face on the table. 

"Please let me die right now. I don't have reasons to live anymore." He dramatically says. Idiot 

"Uhmm. No. I can't let you die it's against the law to kill someone."I say though I planned to stab you earlier in my head even though it's only a joke. 

"This is so embarrassing Eury. I am so embarrassed. You saw me... I.." wow he doesn't know what to say first. 

"Nah it's okay but you shouldn't be sleeping in here Shiloh." I only say to make him at least feel at ease. 

"I know. I shouldn't but I didn't get to sleep last night because I read the new manga online and I don't want to get spoiled by Hiro. He told me that he will read it yesterday." He explains. Well yeah, he told me last night but he failed thanks to me. 

"Is that the new shounen manga you're talking about?" I just ask him. 

"Yeah." while nodding twice. 

"I have complete series of it. Which volume are you right now?"I inquire him more again. 

He looked at me with an amuse look. 

"Wow, you also read the manga?" He asked and I just nod. 

"Then you're an otaku?" He asked but I shake my head. 

"Oh, I see. Hahaha. Well, I just started reading it last week. Right now I am at volume 21."He merrily says. 

"I can let you borrow my manga." I offer to him. 

His eyes widened and glistening at the same time. He looks like a dog that's about to receive a bone from his master. 

"Really?" he asks me cheerily and I just nod. 

"THANK YOUUU EURY!!!"He heartily thanked me and suddenly hugs me so tight. 

"Sssshhhh" the librarian warns us because of Shiloh. 

"Ah.. idiot. It's.. not a big deal." I lose my composure for a moment. 

"But still thank you. I love that manga." He says while grinning widely at me. 

"But promise you won't sleep again in here?" I said. He nods and smiles again at me. Even bigger this time. 

"Yes. Promise." He shows me his pinky finger. 

"Huh?" I look at him baffled. 

"Pinky swear," he said and grabs my pinky finger then intertwine his pinky finger on mine. 

"This is my promise to you that no one can break and nothing can break it." He declares and smiles at me. 

What is this idiot even saying? 

I am the kind of person who doesn't believe in promises and also who doesn't makes promises to anyone. 

That's why I don't get why people love making promises. 

This reminds me of the boy I met in a park years ago.

 "yea." Ling Yun said as she went to take out her phone and confirmed it was her. after which she went back inside and looked at what she bought.

"a toothbrush? Why would I buy this? A chair, Useful. An 8-inch strap on... useful..." Ling Yun went through the hundreds of stuff she didn't need, and in the end, everything turned out to be useful.

Just because she didn't need it or would never use it doesn't mean it was useless. She didn't waste her money. In fact, she made perfect use of it.

Later that day, Ling Yun gave the card to Lara after almost buying more stuff online...

"Ling Yun, are you scared?" Lara asked, seeing how Ling Yun was afraid to take that 8-inch strap on.

"I'm not scared. I just don't want to," Ling Yun said softly.

Lara smiled as she went on to put it on and began doing Clara. They found out yesterday that Clara Pure qi also had the same effect as Ling Yun, but it was just much weaker.

As Ling Yun watched the two, she slowly began playing with her. and before she knew it, she was a cowgirl on top of Lara.

Honoka - "I only started working on it since I had some free time... I'm not really fast..."

She doesn't believe me, does she...? I'm already telling the truth here...

Honoka sighed, trying to not fall for Yuuki's teasing.

Azuki - "That's enough, Yuuki.  Ok, Anybody else?" Azuki ruining the mood, asked once again.

The replies that followed was a mix of people that haven't started to buy the materials yet and people that were already shopping for the materials.

It was almost like a fifty-fifty ratio if someone were to tally up the replies.

So I was the first one to start to get to work, huh?

The realization kicked in as the Oni-Yuki Onna girl read all of the aforementioned replies and looked at how much progress she had done so far.

The time for her to start preparing for the book singing event had drawn even closer as even more replies came in, there was now only an hour left before she needed to do so.

Now with a shorter ammount to spare, she started to get herself ready for the event; her hair was tied up into a a pony tail, her outfit was casual-- But not to casual that it looked plain.

My editor hasn't given me an update about the manga adaptation of my novel...

Her manager which had been talking to a staff member since the singing had started was now heading towards her.

"Did you need something?" Shigure asked the obviously-wanting-to-ask-a-question girl.

"The first volume will have the first eight chapters in it and are already finished. And for the release date..." She started to  browse through the tablet-looking object that she had been holding the whole time before she answered. "In four weeks."

"It's finished already?? Wow, she's fast..."

Shigure gave her a nod in reply before telling her that she was free to leave.

It hasn't even been a week ever since Koto has been told about when the deadline is, she still had another week to work on it if she wasn't done with it yet.

Honoka was quite amazed at the speed that Koto managed to finish working on the first eight chapters from how she knew that it wasn't really that easy to achieve such a feat-  But something still made her worry about the said girl...

I'm worried... Did she even sleep during those seven days?

I just hope she didn't over exert herself...

Now back at her apartment, Honoka who had just gotten back from the book signing still couldn't shake the feeling of worry off her mind.

In 2 months, huh? I'm already finished with my costume so I pretty much don't have to worry about not finishing it in time, all I have to do now is just order the wig I need for it and style it.

Now with the date confirmed for the next chat group's in-real-life activity, the silver-haired girl let out a sigh of relief as her preperations for the said activity was now almost done; not forgetting about her worry about Koto's health.

"That's it! I can't take it anymore!" She couldn't help but raise her voice as she couldn't focus on her planning for the next volume of her light novel, her worry about the cat-eared girl had now reached it's peak, she started a call with her editor asking about the said girl's contact details.

"I'll see what I can do." 

Is what her editor, Shigure had told her in reply as Honoka explained her worries about Koto health.

As she awaited the results of her editor's attempt on trying to obtain the manga artist's contact details from her editor, Honoka attempted to convince herself that Koto was fine but unfortunately this didn't help all that much.

This only made her get even more worried as she continued to attempt this self-convincing attempt over and over everytime the feeling of worry came back.


I guess I'll try and get my mind off of it by talking to Yuuki...


And so she did, she spent quite a bit of time doing so until...

"You're worried about someone, aren't you?"  Yuuki saw through her.

Was I being that obvious?

She attempted to deny the fact but to no avail, This only made her online friend even more suspicious of her.

Yuuki: "Yes, You are. I can tell."

Honoka: "Ok, I admit... I'm pretty sure you heard about this already but..."

She told Yuuki all about how she got worried about Koto overexerting herself and couldn't stop herself from doing so ever since she had heard about how Koto managed to do it within a week.

Yuuki: "Oh, come on... She'll be fine, people that have the job of being a mangaka are more tough than you think."

That doesn't really help though...

Honoka thought as she read her friend's reply about the matter, not feeling any better.

Honoka: "I guess you're right..."
