The day after the premiere of "Like Crazy", the official Sundance Film Festival Journal published the reviews of the film by the critics, and the first of them was the review of these two top authoritative media.
 
The two media outlets both gave the film a superb rating of 90 out of 10, which is an incredible rating for a small-scale romance film, comparable to last year's "Blue Valentine", which also set the stage for the media rating of "Like Crazy". This set the stage for the press reviews of "Like Crazy". The reviews in The New York Times and Variety were endorsed by a number of fellow critics.
 
Sundance's official review was stark in its love for the production, "The actors are neatly dressed, but the rest of the film is so naked, so unabashedly true to love, that the romance makes other works in the genre seem so superficial, so uninteresting, so dull."
 
This is the official affirmation from the official venue magazine, and not only that, the official Sundance review also gave it a perfect score of one hundred, which is the first full score given by the official since the opening of this year's Sundance. In an instant, "Like Crazy" became the number one favorite for this year's Jury Prize!
 
Sundance wasn't the only media outlet to give it a perfect score of one hundred. "Vanity Fair" and USA Today both gave it a hundred.
 
In her review for Vanity Fair, Claudia Puig said, "This is a unique and surprisingly small-budget indie film that puts the big, big-budget movies to shame. The power of time, the oppression of space, and the flood of life are all relegated to supporting roles throughout the film, and love, and only love, is what Drake Doremus delivers in a beautiful film that moves to the point of heartbreak."
 
"USA Today's Kathryn Langwash said, "Doremus shows his delicate touch of emotion and vivid interpretation of reality in this work, reflecting on the turbulence; but without the brilliant, naturalistic performances of the two leads, and the hot, raging, realistic spark between the two, this film would be a failure. The film could not have succeeded without the wonderful, natural performances of the two leads and the hot, real and believable spark between them."
 
With three perfect scores, three perfect scores, "Crazy in Love" is undoubtedly the most critically acclaimed work since the opening of Sundance this year, and that's not the end of it, James Bernard of the Village Voice gave it a ninety-five.
 
In his review, James argued that "'Love Gone Wild' is about the simple and pure truth: love is crazy, but sometimes - as life is supposed to be - love hurts. -- love hurts. Derek Doremus tells a delicate and true story that evokes fond memories of 'Blue Valentine'. And 'Brokeback Mountain'."
 
Good reviews, good reviews, good reviews! The rave reviews pushed "Crazy in Love" to the peak of incredible word-of-mouth, with twelve reviews in the official Sundance Journal, nine of which were favorable, two were moderate, and only one was poor.
 
The bad review came from Lisa Schwarzbaum of Entertainment Weekly.
 
The people who are interested can notice that Lisa did not like the previous "Buried Alive" and "Pacific War", both gave bad reviews, regardless of whether she has a personal grudge with Renly, but it can be seen that for this fast rising star within a short period of time The first thing you can do is to take a look at the film and see that Lisa doesn't have much preference.

It's hard to imagine that Mary only gave a mere sixty points, and watching this paragraph of the review alone, I thought it was a perfect score. From this side can also see Mary's hatred, as well as the strong esteem for the performance of the actors.
 
Another reviewer who gave sixty-five points did the same, with the Chicago Tribune's Rene Rodriguez commenting on the movie, "I can't figure out how anyone could be interested in such a tangled/stuffy, petty, sweet and half-hearted chick romance movie. " It even spits out that the movie is even worse than Drew-Barrymore's sweet romantic comedy, "At least the latter can put you to sleep laughing."
 
However, Rene praised the two actors' while performances, "The chemistry between them makes you want to believe that this love story is really happening. Hall, in particular, supported the emotional changes and time changes of the entire film with his one-man performance. After 'Buried Alive', he once again proved his absolute strength."

I've noticed and read many comments about why MC saved this girl as many think it because she's a girl...Well, my answer is NO!!

I know how you feel when MC saves a girl because I too feel cliched and bored reading the same stuff all over again...But believe me, this is nothing to do with Gender and if you read the later chapters, you notice that even though she's a girl, he would not give her any special treatment.

The reason for MC to save this girl was Abras(the one who traded a piece of soul with Michael) had little to no knowledge about the world outside of the sanctuary he grew up.

As you know, an assassin/hitman like Michael would want to know everything about his surroundings before making any moves. But he can't ask anyone to teach him about this world, as it would raise suspicions and might even kill him because of his low-level cultivation. Only because of this, he chose a crippled cultivator like Gaya as she obviously can't hurt him, and if she tried, he could simply kill her.

Since I hate harem, the MC will not go around the world and save beauties and get into trouble because of them. There's only one love interest and romance will not come anytime sooner.

Besides, if you have noticed, Gaya is a powerful cultivator, so wouldn't be cool to have an op servant until he gets stronger?
The system clearly states how loyal she is. Also, she's not a typical female companion who blushes at everything, calls the MC big brother, and brings him nothing but trouble. She would prove her value and do super awesome things in the future.
My kind request to all my readers(especially newcomers) is please read at least until chapter 40 before giving a low star rating because MC saved a girl. I put a lot of work in this book and it sucks to read a bad review stating that you don't like MC saved a girl.
Don't get me wrong, I love criticisms, that's how I improve my book.I can take any reviews no matter how bad it is if the review stats a valid reason but some leave a bad review when they only read until chapter 5 or six. There were no valid points in their reviews but complaints about MC saves the girl.
I rarely delete reviews even if it's a low star one when it states valid points, but now; I deleted a couple of reviews, not because they gave me few stars but they had no valid points and they only read a couple of chapters.
So Please at least read up to 30 chapters before leaving a review, fewer stars in the review means my book will not show on the WN recommendation list and people might even ignore the book looking at the reviews.
