"H-huh? Young lady? What are you talking about?" The maid asked with a curious look. 

"I'm sorry but I'm not this "young lady" you're speaking of. You're surely mistaking me for another person."

Wait a minute. I'm speaking a foreign language so fluently all of a sudden? 

No, no, no! It can't be! With the sudden realization, my eyes gradually opened wide as if in a horror movie. 

I didn't die in my past life and suddenly reincarnated into someone else now, did I?

With every discovery, my eyes gradually became wider and wider. My heartbeat, raced faster and faster. 

"Young lady Calla! Please tell me, whatever is the matter with you?" 

I looked back at the maid whose face is full of worry as she stares at me with bewilderment. Maybe thinking that her "young lady" has finally gone mad. 

But first, I have to confirm these delusions. The mirror, I have to get- 

*Bam!*

My thoughts were interuppted by the sound of the door opening very loudly. 

"By the goddess! What has taken you so long, butler?!" 

As if relieved, the maid ran to the man he called "butler" and took the tray he carried. Along with the butler, a man with a white coat also came inside. He began to set some tools and bottles that seemed like medicine on the wooden table just about twenty centimeters beside the bed. Oh, he must be a doctor. Wait, he's not gonna cut open my guts, isn't he?! 

Five seconds later, a man- a handsome man of middle age in formal attire who wore a blank face followed inside. What a scary person. 

"So you have awoken, Calla. How are you feeling?" The handsome man sat on the chair next to my bed.

He's looking at me. Why? Am I really that "Calla" they keep calling me? No, I am Mai. Mai, the florist's daughter... right?

"What is the matter? Have you finally lost the ability to speak after falling from the second floor of the house?" 

He's still staring at me with a blank face. A face devoid of emotions. I can't really tell if he's angry or not. 

Come to think of it, his dark hair is well-kept, the fabric of his suit is of amazing quality and his posture is so straight. With his arms crossed like that, I might actually think that he's a multi-billionaire with multiple estates all over the country-

"Calla!" 

This time, he raised his voice due to me not responding to his questions. Everyone in the room had their attention directed at the both of us. 

I have to confirm it. I can't take it anymore.

I took off the blanket covering my lower body and stood up. I ran to the mirror I found earlier.

"Oh my! Young lady, where are you going? My duke, please forgive your daughter. It seems that she has not been listening to her etiquette lessons these days." 

Duke? What duke? The maid is apologozing to who? What's this nonsense you keep spouting about? 

Whatever, my confirmation comes first! 

As I arrived in front of the mirror, I saw a young and fragile-looking girl about ten to twelve years old. A girl with hair the color like cotton. Her straight and soft hair fell to her waist. While Chu Yunsheng was still in the divine realm, rumors started to spread in the castle of Snowstorm. Some people said that Chu Yunshang was trying to warn the castle of Snowstorm, others said that it was a sign that he was going to come to the castle and kill all the people here.

"What happened?!" Not only Chu Yunsheng didn't know what happened, everyone around him also did not know either.
"He must have done something!" Some people said.

The colossal pillar was much bigger than Chu Yunsheng had imagined. The closer he got to it, the more he was impressed by the size of it.
The rock was moved all the way towards the glowing object. When it finally got near the glowing object, it suddenly vanished. Chu Yunsheng was on the high alert since the rock was pulled upwards, so when the rock vanished, it didn't scare him. He landed on the colossal pillar smoothly.
However, he didn't think the whole thing was going to stop here. He was still keeping his guard up.
The glowing object slowly dimmed its bright light to reveal the things inside it.
It was a dark green, seemingly ancient sword and a black cube. They were rotating each other, creating the light that Chu Yunsheng had seen earlier.
Chu Yunsheng's heart instantly skipped a beat. 'A cube! The thing that the cloaked man was looking for!?'
Just when Chu Yunsheng was thinking about what those things might be, many 3 meters long mirror-like slabs raised up from the ground and surrounded him.
Then a strange white noise appeared. The noise was like an old radio player trying to find the right frequency.
A few seconds after the noise appeared, a strange human silhouette appeared on the surface of one of the mirror-like slabs. Then the silhouette started to walk from the first slab to the second then the third… It stopped in front of Chu Yunsheng until it walked one circle around him.
"Modern man, don't panic, I've just checked the genetic fragment of your gene, you are not the man we are looking for," the silhouette in the mirror-like slab shook its head and said.
"Who are you? and what's this place?" Chu Yunsheng asked cautiously. At the same time, he was shocked that this thing had just analyzed him, but he didn't even realize it!
"Modern man, you are not the man we are looking for, so based on the protocol, you don't have the permission to access this information," the silhouette in the mirror-like slab said.
"Then, why did you send me here?" Chu Yunsheng asked.
"Modern man, I need your help," the silhouette said.
"Help? What do you mean?" Chu Yunsheng might look curious, however, he was actually trying to distract the silhouette and find a way to get out of here.
"Modern man, based on the analysis, we are certain that you are a human. This is why we did not attack you. Otherwise, based on the protocol, you would have already been eliminated from here. Your body outside this place would have lost your consciousness and become a walking dead," a touch of a creepy smile flashed by the black silhouette's face. "However, since you are a human, and we also need your help, we will grant you the permission to access some basic information."
"Okay, tell me what I need to know first!" Chu Yunsheng secretly moved his right hand behind his back and started to make an energy talisman.
"Modern man, I know you understand some special rules of using energy, and you are stronger than other people, this is also why I need your help, not their help. My task here is to select and test one of those five people. The people who meet the requirements have appeared now, but the program has not yet decided which one is the chosen one, so we need you to protect them until The Heaven's Messenger safely returns!" the silhouette said.
"Someone wants to kill your candidates?" Chu Yunsheng wanted to know who he was dealing with, if they were those aliens, then, it was too risky for him.
"Our candidates are not just... You call them Skywalkers right? They are not just skywalkers… Some of them are just ordinary human beings… Before we met you, three candidates have already died because of all kinds of reasons..." the silhouette said.
"Why do you want me to protect them, why not those ice and fire castellans?" Chu Yunsheng was suspicious about what it told him.

On a misty evening, a boy was sitting in front of his computer as he was trying to waste some time before he went to bed. He mostly played RPG's, however, recently there were no new games to play and if there were, he normally didn't like their style.
He stumbled upon a random website 'NewLifeRPG.com", at first it was really intriguing to him, it promised a world unlike any others, this was since it was modern and was based on the world. Along with that, it included the ability to restart life inside a game and being able to live out your dream life.
All of this was promised in a single player world, this wasn't considered to be anything like the current games. A game map the size of the actual Earth? Billions of custom made NPCs? A fully dynamic world? Miles in front of the current gaming industry.
The most shocking thing was the missing price tag, it straight away leads to a 'download' option where you can start playing. He quickly pressed the button and saw the download going up. 1%, 5%, 30%, 50%, 90%, 100%. The game downloaded instantly.
He didn't really have amazing internet or anything, and the file seemed to take up about 500gb, which was shocking as it filled up nearly all of the space on his computer. He quickly opened the launcher. The screen turned black as he was staring into it. The light behind him seemed to turn off, he was in eternal darkness which scared him, he couldn't see anything or feel anything anymore.
Out of nowhere faded in a reflection of him, on the pitch back background, it stood out brightly without any light needed. Next to it were a few options, you could change the hairstyle, face shape, body shape, eye colour and everything else he needed.
The current character had a slightly chubby body and round face. It was an average person you would see on the street. The hairstyle was messy and in dire need of a haircut. He reached out with his hand he couldn't see, but somehow still felt it and interacted with a button which opened a menu for hairstyles. There was a basic choice at first; short, medium or long. He clicked on medium hair as he had always imagined himself with a haircut, in turn, would expose his face and attract attention. He found one which he always liked, faded sides and back which lead to an undercut of hair being directed backwards causing a waving motion.
Now that he looked at his character, the hair looked awesome but didn't fit the face. He quickly adjusted everything and sharpened the face to make it more handsome. He currently possessed the most common eye colour which was brown, he had changed this to the rarest colour of green which stood out on the face. 
He was satisfied with the face, he now went onto the body where he removed the fat it had and added as much muscle mass as possible. The character was already fairly tall and he left it like that. The character would now be something you would see at a model show, getting all the girls who saw it be attracted immediately.
He finally pressed the next option, the choice was now given to give out points to specific characteristics of the person, the current stats were: Strength - 15, Intelligence - 18, Wisdom - 6, Consitution - 12, Dexterity - 10, Charisma - 14. He could deduct or add any points he wanted as long as they added up to 75, however, he decided not to change anything.
Now came the final part, he had to select a name. At first, he inputted his real name, "Milo Sosnowski" but quickly changed it since he wanted a cooler sounding name. He liked his first name, he didn't want to change the short yet simple name. He thought of different second names which sounded cool. Doombringer, Emperor, King, Silverblade and so on. He couldn't figure out anything cool. He finally decided to use his favourite character's surname, Dawnblade.
He clicked confirm and was met by a message by a robotic voice in his mind [Welcome to Nova Aeries, the rising city of the people in the world of Altinova. You will be placed in a single apartment on the outskirts of the city, you will be left with a new world to explore, you can interact with anyone and anything. The world is yours for whatever you wish.] Shortly after his vision started to appear back to normal, he was in a strange room.
The floor was made of white tiles all along the whole place, the walls were painted grey and everything was modern. There were four rooms: A living room, kitchen, bedroom and toilet. All the furniture was modern and aesthetic to view.
The voice came back to Milo, [If you require any help, you can think about and I will reply.]
Milo was excited about this game, he didn't know how this happened but it seemed like he was transported to another world. "How do I log off? I was meant to go down and eat dinner with my family?" He really didn't know what he should do.
The robotic voice replied straight away. [Leave? There is no such option. You are now directly in a different world with a new body.]
Milo was looking around, he looked into the mirror and saw the character he created just a moment ago. He walked up the mirror weirdly as he wasn't used to the muscles but they weren't a big problem. He grabbed his face and noticed that everything seemed real. "Well then, what happened to my other body?"
[The host's soul has been split, and there will be no problem. Your current half is in this world without the other not even knowing what just happened.]
Milo carried on walking around and looking at everything. "So this new world, I'm now stuck here? Do I have any benefits of staying here or anything of the sorts?"
The robotic voice started to speak in its monotone voice. [The host now lives here, the world is for his taking like said before, your body is currently equipped with the 'RPG System', loading welcome message for the 'RPG System'.]
A beep sounded and the same voice started going off again. [Welcome! This is a short introduction on how to use the 'RPG System'. The system has all the abilities of a normal RPG for the host to utilize in his new life. They will be given multiple features such as gaining quests, changing host's stats, world utilities, other people's affection rating of host and being able to save and load at different points of host's life.] Another beep sounded, ['RPG System' introduction finished, would you like for it to repeat?]
"No, that's enough."
Milo looked into the mirror with a smirk.

When you see a random RPG on a sketchy website, you normally wouldn't try it out. It was promised to be set in the modern world where you could level up yourself and different skills while engaging in a beautiful new world.
It might be a bit sketchy when opening up the application your vision fades and it seems that you can edit your own person and it's stats and then enter the world with a new set of skills.
