Then she appeared... In a bright flash, The Norse Goddess of Winter! Her skin was so pure. It was white, but at the same time also light blue. It was almost ethereal. 

Hoooooooowllllll!

Skadi's wolf howled.. And since her pet is a passive...

Another how came from right beside me. I turned to look and there was a white wolf looking back at me.

I knew it! I got a pet now! And judging by the absence of a pair of balls like on Skadi's wolf, Mine was female! I knelt down and ran my hands through the white mane of my new companion. I was so absorbed I had completely ignored Skadi herself.

I faked a cough and took her hand. I gently kissed it and said, "A pleasure to meet such a beautiful Goddess of Winter. I look forward to being close to you." if I remember correctly, Skadi was afraid of being alone, so I'll just smother her.

The beauty blushed and I knew I was correct, I'll just keep showering her with praise then.

The familiar shaking of the world was almost completely forgotten as I was used to it by now and the voice that rang out followed after.

I was so excited to look at my new skills, but something else unexpected occured!

If I'm understanding this correctly, basically I will get anything that comes with the skin. So wings, headpieces, and even exotic things and not only that, they will all match. So my tail will also change to take the appearance of whichever skin I chose. Good thing I've got a really good memory.

"Holy shit guys, I finally can get you new clothes!"

As with most females, the thought of new armor and outfits made everyone's eyes light up. 

"Hehe hopefully something a little revealing.." 

Chuckles from my Goddesses and a blush from Skadi, I continued, "I have another summon left, so I won't use them yet."

 +[Skadi] {Kaldr, The Winter Wolf} (Passive) - Kaldr has 2 forms: Beast and Elemental. While in Beast form he can attack enemies and be attacked. While Elemental he is immune to attacks and gains 1 HP every 5s. He can be controlled with Rune of the Hunt but will revert into Elemental form if he loses all HP. Skadi also gains 10% Physical power when Kaldr has no HP.

{Piercing Cold} (Active) - Skadi throws an icy spear forward, dealing damage to enemies and Slowing them for 3s. Kaldr's basic attacks deal double damage to targets afflicted by Piercing Cold. Damage: 290+80% Physical Power. Slow: 40%. Cooldown: 14s. Cost: 90 Mana. 

{Rune of the Hunt} (Active) - Skadi marks an enemy for Kaldr to hunt. While toggled on, Kaldr assumes Beast form, chasing and attacking the marked enemy. If a marked enemy dies Kaldr attacks other enemies nearby. When toggled off, Kaldr stops attacking and returns to Skadi, reverting to his Elemental form on the way. Damage: 80% of Skadi's.
Dash Attack: 130% basic attack damage. Kills self heal. Attacks increase Skadi's movement speed by 10%.

{Permafrost} (Active) - Skadi freezes the ground for 5s at a target location. The icy area deals damage to enemies that touch it and continues to deal additional damage every .5s they stay on it. Also, Skadi's movement speed increases while standing on the area and persists for 3s after it fades or she leaves. Damage: 190+50% Physical Power. Damage Per Tick: 25+5% Physical Power. {Winter's Grasp} (Ultimate) - A snowstorm surrounds Skadi as she chooses a location for Kaldr to attack. If Kaldr is too far he will leap there. Upon reaching the location a snowstorm also surrounds Kaldr. The initial hit of either snowstorm Roots enemies in the area and Kaldr is restored to full health. The storms persist for 4s while dealing damage to enemies every .5s. Damage Per Tick: 50+5% Physical Power. Root Duration: 2s. Cooldown: 90s. Cost: 120 Mana. 

Truly a Goddess of winter indeed. I'll need to name my wolf also. Obviously when I use one of Skadi's skills, I won't be commanding Kaldr, but my wolf instead. 

"Anyone wanna help me name her," I pointed at the wolf beside me, "I need something good."

Kaldr and my nameless wolf were sniffing at each other. I whispered in Skadi's ear, "Can I sniff you like that? You smell so good I want to eat you up."

She was going to be so fun to tease. She was turning red which looked so cute in contrast with her icy blue aura.

Names were still being called out, and I finally thought of one I liked, silencing everyone else.

"Your name will be Junipr, and just Jun for short."

She howled before turning and licking me, so she must have approved it. 

[Why does she get a strong name, but I got one like Pink?]

"Ms Skadi you'll yave to teach me how to train Junny here okay? I'll most likely need some... private lessons." 

Both wolves were hits with everyone. Even Mir was seen petting and playing with them. Junipr's fur was white without the blue tinge that Faldr had, and her runes were gold as well. She really w as quite cute. Ferocious though, I mean 80% my basic attack is a lot of damage. I'm sure we were going to have fun together. 

Alright now that I've gotten one thing done, might as well get the other. While everyone, my Goddesses included, were sitting around with the wolves, I thought to myself...  -Use random assassin summon ticket-

Questioning looks came from everyone. I ignore them, placing Loki's contract on the outside of my right forarm, on the other half of Skadi's. My right arm was now a full sleeve. 

I confirmed, and as the light shot out from my arm... 

"Hihihihihi" 

That signature Loki laugh sounded out, and I swear each of my Goddesses rolled their eyes. 

When he appeared he continued to laugh.. "Hihihihihi brother and father must be so pissed. Oy Zav, do me a favor and summon my son or daughter next. Thor and Odin can continue playing with each other. And my dear Skadi, always a pleasure." 

"Welcome to The Garden Loki. I've got quite the mission that I think you're the best suited for hehe." 

"If it involves turning into a woman to trick men into a dungeon ill pass, hihihihi." 

This fucking guy. 

"Your shitty consumable could have came with a warning or something dude.." 

"Um Len are you going to explain who he is.. I mean he's a guy. I thought you could only summon women?"

"Well besides Bellona, my other Summons were random. But yes, She (points at Skadi) is Skadi, the Goddess of Winter along with her pet wolf Kaldr. He (points at Loki) is Loki the Trickster God. They are both from the Norse Pantheon." 

"We've heard you mention Pantheons before, but we don't really understand what you mean." This time Mir asked. 

"Well the garden seems to have one Pantheon, your 11 gods. My home world has many Pantheons and hundreds of gods.." 

"Now let me check Loki's skills before I get you all some new outfits."

 +[Loki] {Behind You! } (Passive) - Loki deals 20% more damage from his Basic Attacks when hitting enemies from behind. His Basic Attacks also utilize a 5 swing progressive chain.

{Vanish} (Active) - Loki disappears in a puff of smoke. While invisible, he moves faster, removes Slow effects, and gains immunity to Slow effects. His next Basic Attack from Stealth (or for 2s after) applies a Bleed to his target, dealing damage every .5s and reveals Loki. If Loki takes damage while stealthed, he will now be revealed for .33s. Damage per Tick: 90+25% Physical Power. Stealth Duration: 7s. Stealth Movement Speed: 35%. Cooldown: 15s. Cost: 90 Mana. 

{Agonizing Visions} (Active) - Loki summons a vision of his tortured past at a target location for 4s. Enemies in range of the vision feel the poison themselves, taking damage and having their Damage Dealt reduced. This effect stacks up to 4 times. If an enemy gets 4 stacks they become Blinded, allowing Loki to benefit from Behind You! from any direction for 3s. Damage: 33+15% Physical Power. Cooldown: 12s. Cost: 70 Mana. 

{Flurry Strike} (Active) - Loki unleashes a flurry of 5 dagger strikes quickly in front of him, damaging and slowing enemies by 15% for 3s. After this flurry he winds up for a final heavy strike that deals higher damage and slowing enemies by 30% for 3s. Loki cannot be knocked up while firing this ability. This ability can benefit from Behind You! Flurry Damage: 55+25%Physical Power. Final Damage: 135+70% Physical Power. Cooldown: 12s. Cost: 70 Mana. 

{Assassinate} (Ultimate) - Upon activation, Loki teleports to his ground target location. If an enemy is within the radius, Loki will slice that target doing damage and crippling them for 1s. After he teleports he will wind up a heavier strike, damaging all enemies in front of him and stunning them. Cripple Damage: 210+35% Physical Power. Heavy Damage: 280+90% Physical Power. Cooldown: 90s. Cost: 90 Mana. 

So much awesome! The basic attack pattern is so fucking cool, and with my insane attack speed.. 

Hehe I have to try it. Hmm is Mir paying attention? 

{Vanish}.. 

With a poof, I disappeared, and unlike my stealth with {Mysterious Fog}, I had free movement space, not just in an area. 

No one seemed to notice my absence, and I had 7s to sneak up behind Mir. I had no doubt I couldnt cause him any major damage, so I planned to go all out in one attack. 

I was behind him now.. 

{Assassinate}.. I proofed into existence behind him and crippled him him.. 

{Flurry}... A new string of attacks with my dual blades.. 

Now my basic attacks. 

With a reverse grip on my dual blades, I slashed right, left, right, left, and finished with a twin thrust forward using a front flip with momentum. Since this was a 5 attack pattern, I could also finish two full cycles in one second. 

After one second, I backed off and clicked my tongue. 
I still didn't even do any damage to him. Even when I've gained so much power since we last fought. 

Mir, sensing my disappointment said, "Oh I thought some flies landed on me. Thanks for taking care of them for me hehe."

So if you looking for OP MC that can kill all the bad guys with a single snort, eyes that can see far future, and mind smart enough to see through all deception then capable of fooling all kinds of antagonists then sorry, this story is not your cup of tea. Maybe near the ending later it will be, but just not from chapter 1!

The days were passing and the exploration of the valley was progressing. There were only a few areas left to visit. The group was able to hunt several wolf packs again. They also found some of the wolves that had ran away. These had taken refuge in caves on the opposite side of the valley.
The counter therefore already showed more than thirty wolves defeated, as well as two bears. The second bear was a little less ferocious than the first one, but the fight was just as complicated. Fortunately, with the knowledge gained from the previous fight, many mistakes that were made were not repeated.
Today, the team was exploring the eastern end of the valley, which was also its highest spot. Here wildlife was extremely rare and landscapes were very rocky.
The atmosphere, however, was heavy. Lei's senses in particular told her that they were in serious danger, yet she decided not to inform the team as she had no proof. She thought that she was imagining things, and that in any case, despite the light fog, the visibility at this altitude was relatively correct, so nothing serious could happen to them.
After an hour's walk in this area they finally arrived at what looked like a plateau. The plateau was not very large, it could be compared to a square about twenty metres wide and forty metres long. Most of its ends were leading to a ravine, but one of its ends led to a cliff that was none other than the side of the main mountain.
In this cliff was dug a gigantic cave. This one was incredibly dark, as if it had been dug specifically under a certain angle that prevented the sun penetrating inside.
They moved slowly towards the cave, dreading what was potentially inside. When they were only about ten metres away from the cave, Lei's senses were awakened to their fullest, which made her shiver. Scared, she took a step backwards. She was no longer able to move forward.
"What's going on, Lei?" Loki asked.
Although she had heard his question, she couldn't take her eyes off the cave. A few seconds later, she stammered a few words, a little panicked:
"I... I think we should get out of here."
"Why?" Lily asked.
"I can feel it... Something dangerous is sleeping inside. "
Lei's heartbeat was accelerating. Although she wasn't especially known for being as cold-blooded as Loki, seeing her panicking like that, the rest of the team was slightly destabilised.
Divided between retreating and exploring, the group was stuck.
"Well, we didn't come here to take risks. Although I don't think there are any wild animals stronger than a bear in the area, we can't be sure. Let's get out while there is still time. "Loki suggested.
The team nodded, although Sora was a bit gleeful. Part of her wanted to explore the cave.
As the group began to turn around, a huge growl was heard. It was so powerful that it forced Lily to kneel down.
It wasn't like the howling of your common bear. A bear's howl was capable of inciting doubt and fear in a psychologically fragile person. Here we were talking about real paralysis, and even the bravest men would not be able to remain serene when hearing this.

Although determining the psychology and power of a wild beast by relying on its cry was not an exact science, in this situation Loki was convinced that this animal was stronger than they were. Much stronger.
"QUICKLY! Run! "he shouted.
The three girls didn't argue, and instantly started running. Only a few seconds later, something rushed out of the cave. The silhouette of the creature appeared to them.
It was a gigantic bear, almost twice as massive as the first one they met. Its coat was dark, almost black. On his hairless skull, a gigantic scar showed evidence of a past battle. His gaze was as piercing as his grunts.

In the distance, the man watching Sora's group was of course always present.

So he put the device in his back pocket and watched the group flee again. Unfortunately, they had already been caught. This bear was well known to the school. It was an indomitable animal, which had so far managed to escape from the assault groups that were chasing it.
It was a real thorn in the side of the school. This ground being specifically intended for the training of young arcanists, it had to be provided with a minimum of risks. In spite of the situation, the only real dangers in this forest are the weather and the wild animals. Nevertheless, in order to avoid any overflow, guards are made available.
This bear was the only dark spot. He was usually called 'The King of the Forest', and was reputed to be invincible. Of course, these were only titles, and an Arcanist of rank S was quite capable of eliminating him quickly, so let's not mention an Arcanist of rank S+.
Unfortunately, these arcanists were often requisitioned for military missions, they rarely worked for private institutions such as schools.
This guard, for example, was only of rank S-. This was an honourable rank for an Arcanist, but nevertheless a standard one. He was therefore certain that he could hold him for a while, but he doubted that he could defeat him.

Loki was far too wounded to get up. He was bleeding rapidly from a haemorrhage in his chest. Tears were streaming from Lily's eyes. She panicked, but didn't want to abandon her friend.
He was only a few metres away from them. A violent shock occurred. It was as if a meteorite had crashed specifically where the bear was positioned. When the dust caused by this shock fell back, the young teenagers noticed a human figure. They didn't know it, but it was the person who had been watching them from the beginning.
"Quickly. Run away," he said. "I'll hold him back.
Unfortunately Loki was too injured to be moved. So Lily began treatment. Unfortunately, she was only able to treat minor injuries. Meanwhile, the man began his fight with the bear.
His singularity was simple and rather practical. He was able to enter in symbiosis with his own muscles, which enabled him to increase his strength without suffering any consequences. He was therefore faster than a normal human being, and a lot stronger. For a while, he was able to compete with the bear because of his speed. Unfortunately, he was not able to inflict much damage on it. Unlike a human being, the bear's coat was resistant to any shock or impact. Even a blow from a sword could not pierce this coat, as it was so dense and resistant.
He was losing more and more ground. Unable to injure his opponent, he also managed to dodge all his opponent's counter-attacks, unfortunately, this only led to a dead end, and the outcome would inevitably be unfavourable for him. Fortunately, he knew that reinforcements would arrive, and that an Arcanist of rank S would accompany them.

Shortly afterwards, a dark aura appeared nearby. Everyone's attention in the vicinity was caught, including the bear. Within the halo, a crack in space formed. Little by little, a portal opened and from it three silhouettes emerged. One of them was Lorena Melany.

As Anya twirled herself inside, several figures followed after her. First, it was a red-haired goddess, Loki, followed by the three-level 6s of the Loki Familia: Finn, Riveria, and Gareth. After those three, it was the two Amazonesses, Tione and Tiona, and the werewolf, Bete. Finally, the last two to enter was another elf, Lefiya, and a blonde girl with a doll-like appearance, Ais.


One drunk adventurer looked at Ais lecherously and drunkenly slurred a sentence together, "Err, who's de prett' lady," until one of his friends instantly knocked him on the head with their fist, "Shut up you idiot. That's the Loki Familia. Keep it up if you want to die."

Loki nodded at his friend, who started to thank her profusely and then took her seat, telling the rest of her group to get seated as well. Once she got seated, food and alcohol got delivered while Loki noticed something different about her favorite restaurant and quickly took a sip of alcohol.

"Ahhhhh. That hits the spot. Mama, keep 'em comin'."

Riveria casually sipped the tea she was served, "That's not an action befitting someone of high status, Lo-" until she was interrupted by Gareth and Bete who started to have a drinking contest.


"The lil' wolf thinks he can outdrink me? Boy, you're too young to challenge me," Gareth said as he chugged a whole mug of alcohol.

"Shut it, you old geezer. Watch and admit defeat," Bete said as he accepted Gareth's challenge, chugging a whole mug of alcohol as well.

On the other side of the table, Tione was trying to spoon-feed Finn, by constantly trying to get him to say, "Ahh," only to be constantly rejected by him drinking alcohol to inwardly vent his frustrations.

Seated between the two annoying groups, Ais, Lefiya, and Tiona was silently eating their food until Tiona got bored, "So, any new stories from anyone?"

Ais, Lefiya, Tione, Finn, Riveria, and Gareth shook their heads while Loki had a mischievous smile plastered on her face, "Hey Bete, tell 'me bout that one kid you have a challenge with."

Bete was almost unconscious due to the amount of alcohol he drank, but he somehow slurred, "O-oh tha-at kid. Probably still a level 1 weakli-" before passing out cold. Gareth started roaring in laughter at his opponent's defeat while he wasn't even warmed up yet.

In the corner of the Hostess of Fertility, Artemis heard the entire conversation but stayed silent while eating his dinner as he knows that in the Denatus that is coming soon, his level will be revealed to all the Gods present and after that, he would become famous as the "record holder" throughout Orario.

However, he stopped eating once Mia Grand started to "boast" about his achievements, "The boy yer talkin' about is level 2 now." After saying that, Mia went back to work but she still shot a wink towards Artemis, who didn't catch it after he went back to eating. However, one person who did catch the wink, and even traced it towards the recipient of the wink, was Ais.

However, before she could get up and talk to Artemis, he already got up and tossed a bag filled with Valis towards Mia, who caught it with a big smile, while saying, "Come back any time boy. Next time, order some big dishes and alcohol."

Artemis smiled back at Mia Grand while walking out of the pub with Asfi behind him, and Chloe pouting, "Why can't you stay for longer, meow? You being here makes meow work so much hardernya."

Artemis ignored the shotacon and left while putting a thumbs up for Kaori to see, who nodded but continued playing her violin.

Walking out, Artemis felt the cold breeze of the night hit him, but was soon warmed by the heat emitted by the little bird on his head. Taking slow steps back towards the Adventurer Inn, Artemis didn't encounter anyone, but he could feel someone staring at him. However, even when Artemis tried to hide his presence, the feeling didn't go away, as whoever was staring at him, was already locked onto him. Artemis didn't feel any malice from the staring and decided to continue his walk back towards the Adventurer Inn.

"His soul... is so dazzling, Ottar. It used to be so innocent, so clear. Now its gaining colors and depth, almost as if he's finally living life now... It seems Mia wasn't lying to me about him being unique..."


"What would you like to do about it, Lady Freya?"

"Nothing. Its almost like I can live his life just by seeing the new colors appear in his soul. It's a euphoric sight, Ottar. If only you could see it..."

Artemis entered his room, closing the door behind him. After taking off his boots, Artemis jumped onto his bed, bouncing from the squishiness of the bed. Huǒyàn also started flapping around the room, before settling down as Artemis started to feed her magic stones. Before Artemis went to sleep, he decided to update his status after a day of hunting minotaurs.

After updating Huǒyàn's stats, Artemis realized that he has been very stingy at feeding her, as her stats were generally a whole rank below his in every stat. Once he updated the stats for the two of them, Artemis closed the lights in his room and closed his eyes, as the warmth from sleep embraced him.
