this story has nothing to do with me I copied it from novel library because I don't have time to read so here I can use the audio function.
that's the hole idea

"Chloe...pl-plea-se h-he-elp m-me..."

"Chloe...pl-plea-se h-he-elp m-me..."

Chloe knows that voice. The voice which she didn't heard for about five years.

Is she alive? If she's alive, I'll find her. Yeah I will.

Those thoughts keep running in her mind. How? She haven't change her number. It is enough to justify, right? But, if not what she'll do.

Her mind bewildered with thoughts, a lot of thoughts which precisely contrast with.

"Chloe?"

A voice pull her out of her own reverie. Still in the home library facing her laptop.

Turning to look who is it, "Huh?" she absentmindedly said. No one but Heath.

"Is there anything wrong? I've been calling you yet you've been in daze." Heath point out, glancing a seconds in her hand clutching the phone.

"No-nothing," shaking her head "you need something?"

"No, simply checking on you."

"I'm actually finished."

"Okay," he nod, "want to drink coffee? Tea? Hot chocolate?"

"Hot chocolate will do."

"Alright, follow me on downstairs then."

"Kay."

Looking at Heath retreating back, she heaved a sighed then put her phone in the side. Shut off her laptop.

Before she follow him downstairs, she drop by in their bedroom - which is his old room. Putting the laptop in study table.

To Heath, sensing there's something off about Chloe when she clutched her phone tightly.

Did she received?

He thought, before she check on Chloe inside the home library. He - no his family rather, received an audio.

Fortunately, Lynx wasn't with them at the moment. He was with Grandma in the kitchen.

The audio was Claire's recorded voice. They can't tell if it was old or current. Mrs. Lucas had suggest to forward the audio in the headquarters, in able to investigate. The rest also agreed with Mrs. Lucas.

Judging by the reaction of Chloe, it shouldn't be impossible.

"Son, where's Chloe?" Mrs. Lucas asked as she follow Heath in the kitchen.

"Upstairs, she'll come in a minute."

Heath brewed his favorite coffee, and hot chocolate for Chloe.

"Did she received?"

"I guess ma, something troubled her. She didn't said a word. I'll find it later. Did you call her parents?"

"Yes I did. They also received the same audio."

Mrs. Lucas called the Jenkins. Jenkins received the same audio. Mrs. Jenkins was undeniably worried about Chloe. The both madam, suggested to have a family meeting without Chloe's presence.

Heath is wide awake. Looking to Chloe and Lynx sleeping figure. In a calculated move, he strode off in study table. Spied Chloe's phone.

As he opened, welcomed by Lynx smiling face as her wall paper. He swipe, a four digit password.

Lynx birth date.

He try to enter, alas! Opened. Checking the message inbox, there's none. Chloe don't use much social media, so basically her phone is for contact purpose. Messages and Calls.

Right! Calls.

Checking the history calls...

↙ Today, 9:10 PM

Three minutes before he checked her out. He dialed a certain number in his phone.

"Heath," the person in other line speak groggily, "why did you call at 11:00 PM."

"I need you to tract a certain phone number." He directly speak up.

The other line been silence for a minute... "Okay, send me that number."

"Okay, I'll see you in Monday."

"En."

The conversation ended. Didn't waste time forward the number.

Why would the caller called Chloe? And send them an audio. Only asking for Chloe's help alone, something was off. What really happened that time?

This isn't so much a funny story as it is an Ironic one. So as you know I'm dyslexic, which means reading is... hard. but as you can probably tell I love writing, and I also love stories, so what I do is listen to audio books (insert predictable audible ad here). I actually get them from the library online. But libraries, despite not actually housing the medium I like, are actually really soothing to me. For example, I'm writing this in a library. Despite only recently discovering that I love books I have always enjoyed being in a library. Like not to read but just being there, organizing books was something I really enjoyed especially as a kid. I know "what a weird kid" but the library in my elementary school let me push the book cart around and put things away and I loved it. You might ask when I had the time to do this. And that's where the funny part is...
So in fifth grade my school did this thing to prepare you for middle school, they separated every day into four classes and with your homeroom you rotated through each of the classrooms with a different teacher. My teacher for reading did this thing where if you earned it you got the privilege of going to the library to read during personal reading time. 
I of course, being the goody too shoes that I am got my pass very quickly and proceeded to read at the library everyday. But then I discovered this love of organizing books, and reading became my second priority. Eventually the librarian caught on and told my teacher but it was all cool. I mean I had to read in the classroom again but I wasn't mad at thew librarian, she was super cool. She let us check out our own books sometimes, though this was a job only the fifth graders got to do when she was doing something else in the library. 
The library is always the part of the school that matters most to me, if a school's library is small, uncomfortable or just down right depressing then I won't like the school. I spend most of my time in libraries. I mean even though I don't like reading physical books a lot I still like the idea of having a physical version of a story I love. This causes a habit, If a read/listen to a book that I really like, as in its on my "Top 100 favorite Books" list then I find a copy when I can. Sadly I don't have the money for pretty box sets so all of my copies of my favorite books are from Goodwill. This makes for some patchwork book series sets but I like it, it adds character. At least that's what I tell myself when I pass the pretty hard cover limited addition box sets at Barnes and Nobles.
My dad runs an Ebay business, he sells used books, like from estate sales or library sales, or goodwill. He mostly deals in the bigger names/more collectible stuff, like he sells a lot of Stephan King. But sometimes when he goes to goodwill I tag along and look for a copy of my favorite books. One time I found the book "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" and I nearly squealed. Its one of those books that is just really moving. So I convinced my dad to get it for me. And now I have a copy of a book that I will never use but it will comfort me. Its like having a physical manifestation of the characters and story you love. When its an online audio book it can feel very intangible, its also nice to be able to see your favorite quotes on paper.

Being fifteen is hard, but it’s really hard when your not neurotypical. I probably spelled that wrong, this isn’t a quirky way of telling you I’m dyslexic I just genuinely tried my best and spelled that how I thought it was spelled and they put a red line under it. But I’m also Autistic/have Autism, ADHD, and of course Anxiety because there is no other way to complete my triple A battery of mental disorders. 
Now this is collection of all the stupid stuff I’ve done, all my mini misadventures. 
So I hope you enjoy my stories and laugh at me as much as I laugh at myself (that is to say a lot).

Winter, Mandy and Layla trotted through the luscious, carpeted hallways of Golden Academy High arm in arm. Layla whispered, "I hope Mrs. Scrimen is absent more often. I love joint classes with Star's potential. We get to be privy to all the gossip first hand." Mandy gushed, "Right!" Winter just smiled and rolled her eyes, "What are we doing in the audio visual room anyway?" "We usually watch movies in there." "Educational movies?" Layla shook her head, "All kinds of movies." Winter laughed, "I forgot about how unconventional this school is."
They reached the audio visual room and Winter's eyes met dark blue ones. She nodded and then looked away. Layla nudged her in the ribs. "What was that for?" Mandy smiled, "No more secrets." Winter laughed, "Okay okay. No more secrets." They all hugged in what seemed to be a notion of agreement. Layla pointed, "Let's go sit over there." Winter followed Mandy and Layla while scoffing at the term 'audio visual room'. *This is nothing less than a glorified movie theater. Well, that said, it's to be expected from the rich and wasteful.* When they sat down Winter heard a rustling in the seat beside her, "Hey Sparky. Here we are. Another joint class. You must be feeling lucky today." Winter turned her head to observe Jax reveling in all his arrogant glory, "Oh you're in this class too? Just when I thought I was going to relax and actually enjoy this movie. How unfortunate." Jax just chuckled.
Cornell stood at the front of the audio visual room, "Alright as you know due to Mrs. Scrimen's absence we are having joint classes for the rest of the day. Both my class and Star's potential have been mixed together. You morons are in the audio visual room to do what? Watch a movie, yeah. I don't want to hear your nasally, underdeveloped voices I want to hear the movie. So shut it. All of you." Winter smirked at how uncouth Cornell was. *How could such an elegant school grant admission to such a bumbling idiot? It's a paradox.* Winter felt Jax staring at her and turned to look at him. He rested his chin in his hand, "What I wouldn't give to know what thoughts are running around in that pretty little head of yours Winter Knight." Winter laughed sarcastically, "What I wouldn't give to keep from knowing yours." The movie started and the boisterous conversation filling the room, morphed into a dull whisper. Winter studied the characters displayed on the screen. She noted their roles, attitudes and behaviors, body language, and backgrounds. Winter knew what the ending would be before the movie was halfway through. She mumbled, "She finds her sister and gives back the money." Jax raised his eyebrows and Winter shrugged before getting up and whispering, "I have to go to the bathroom." Mandy nodded, "Want us to come with?" Winter giggled silently, "No. I think I can find my way there." Winter walked out of the movie room. *Ugh how boring.* She rounded the corner and ran into Sam. His dark, crimson eyes seemed to pierce into her very soul. Sam scoffed, obviously annoyed. "You seriously just keep finding excuses to bump into me don't you?" Winter rolled her eyes, "Sorry do I know you?" Sam kept walking, ignoring her. "You're skipping the movie too?" Sam didn't respond. Winter leaned against the wall, *He's an arrogant jerk too isn't he? Seems like this school is crawling with them.* She smirked. *Well we can't have that now can we?*
Winter put her hands in her pockets and strolled around the campus, finally finding herself with a moment to explore. She looked around examining the decorations. *Someone very meticulously designed this place.* Her mind wandered to the headmaster, contemplating all the possibilities surrounding his identity. Winter shook her head realizing there's not enough information to develop a conclusion. Lost in thought, Winter stumbled upon the library. The walls were lined with rows and rows of books. Crystal chandeliers that were expensively designed hung from the ceiling. Arches with painstakingly detailed patterns were found encompassing the area. The entire library was lined with carpets of the highest quality and inspired with the grandest style. The drapes were an eye catching scarlet silk. It was dimly lit, as to protect every word on the pages of each book from harsh, unflattering light. Winter's eyes sparkled as she attempted to take in the lavishness that defined the library's display. *This is... the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.* Winter pondered for a moment, eyeing the scene. *Such careful attention to detail of a library also means someone cares about his books.*
Winter wandered aimlessly through the breadth layout of books. She noticed someone further down the isle and hid to observe them. Winter recognized the individual immediately. *How did he end up here if we walked in opposite directions earlier? Multiple entrances? Secret exits? Tunnels?* Winter was able to look at Sam Tudor for the first time. She was given the opportunity to depict all of his qualities and physical attributions thoroughly, unnoticed and undisturbed. Her eyes ran over his dark brown curls, muscled figure, demanding stance, and towering height. She recalled his vermilion eyes, struck by the memory of their impact. For the first time, Winter understood his magnetism. She understood the charisma others found in his appearance; the demand for attention that someone could read in his eyes, a command that refuse to be ignored. Sam looked around and Winter actively suppressed her presence to avoid discovery. Sam placed the book back on the shelf and strolled away. When Winter was sure he was gone, she walked to where Sam was standing and picked up his discarded book. Winter read the title of the book "Stories Untold" and turned it over in her hands. She examined the cover until someone came behind her  abruptly and pinned her to the shelf before she had time to react.
"You're good, but you're not that good." His charming, smooth voice muddled with sarcasm, malice and cruelty filled Winter's ears. "What are you doing here?" he demanded. Winter relaxed under his unrelenting hold, "And here I thought this library was for everyone. Who knew it was another thing deemed worthy of Tudor use, exclusively." She felt, more than heard Sam's scowl as he turned her around to face him, keeping her pinned. "Who are you?"  "Wouldn't everyone like to know?" Winter's nonchalant attitude irritated Sam. She determined this by the compelling nature of his stare and the scorn she read on his face. "My name is Winter Knight. Who are you?" Sam's obvious resentment due to their encounter amused Winter. He growled, the poison cultivating in his eyes was a warning sign that Sam's patience was wearing thin. "I am no fool. You know well who I am. You mentioned earlier the name,'Tudor.'" Winter rolled her eyes, "You just like hearing that everyone knows you." Sam didn't deign to respond to her, "I know you were watching me earlier." Winter cursed herself for not hiding more skillfully. "Why?" Sam pried, with the most spitefulness Winter had ever seen anyone manage. Winter averted eye contact. She was not used to being discovered. "I was trying to...."  "Save your lies," Sam spat, releasing Winter from his hold. He looked down at her, his gaze filled with hatred. "I don't ever want to see you spying on me again. Don't talk to me. Don't look at me. Don't ask about me. Don't even think about me." With that, Winter watched Sam walk away. She smiled, still having the book in her hands.

New town, new school, new girl. What will Winter experience during this move?

Dusk stared at the bright sun above. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped at the sweat that was dripping down his forehead. 'Time to go buy a new spatial pouch… Maybe I should buy a spatial ring instead, that way I won't lose it in a battle like that again. Fuck, I seriously lost all of those potions that were in the pouch, all of my gold will just be used up on restocking.'
 
"For fucks sake Joan, you do this every single time. I should seriously cut you off," Dusk mumbled. He sped his way through the large streets of Chasm, moving through multiple portals which allowed him to traverse great distances within the school. The academy itself was the size of a small city, housing more than ten thousand people, students and staff included. Soon he reached the shop he'd been looking for. Upon opening the door to the nearest store on campus that sold magical equipment, a bell rang loud.
 
"Oh Dusk, nice of you to come here again," a boy said. The boy was similar to Dusk in both age and height, both being sixteen. Dusk slowly made his way through the spacious shop, reaching the boy who was behind a counter.
 
"Gerald, you still work here? I thought you were able to pay off your debt to Liz," Dusk said. He scratched his chin as he observed the weak looking boy.
 
"Haha it's a funny story," Gerald said with an awkward smile. "Anyways, how can I help you today?" he asked. The boy rested his pale arms on the glass counter he was behind. Accessories of all sorts were visible beneath the glass, necklaces, rings, earrings and even anklets.
 
'So many magical items… If I stole the stuff in just that counter I'd be rich.'
 
"I need a new spatial object. Preferably a ring or something I can wear more easily than a spatial pouch. Oh and make sure it isn't to pricey," Dusk said. He edged closer to Gerald and whispered into his ears, "Let me guess, you tried to steal from Liz again. Dumbass."
 
"I-" Gerald gasped. His white cheeks became tinted red as he took in a deep breath. His head slumped down as he replied, "Y-Yea."
 
"Pfft, seriously why have you caught an obsession with one of the worst girls in our year group. Anyway, what have you got for me?" Dusk said.
 
"The cheapest accessory that also acts as a spatial storage that I can sell you here is for 30 gold pieces. It's a bronze ring, and has a pretty limited capacity. But it is really cheap, at least the second best would cost you 45 gold, which would be a silver ring instead with a greater storage amount."
 
'Hmm, I guess I have no choice.' Dusk rubbed his chin before saying, "Alright, give me the ring. Oh, and bump down the price to 20 gold pieces."
 
"W-What? I can't do that, do you want me to lose my job?" Gerald yelped. His blond hair waved about as he jumped back from the counter.
 
"I'm obviously not just extorting you. Come on, I'm not that type of person. Simply, I'll help you with that perverted fantasy of yours. I can lessen Liz's hatred for you. Tell me, is that worth 10 gold to you?" Dusk asked.
 
Gerald gulped hard, loud enough for Dusk to hear. "I- Okay, fine. But swear to me that you're not lying right now, I still need this job," Gerald said.
 
Dusk jumped over the counter and patted Gerald on the shoulder. "Don't worry, have you ever seen me lie? Of course not, I'm as honest as they come," he said whilst sticking out a thumbs up. "Just leave Liz with me, I'll get this done before the week ends," he continued. He pinched Gerald's fatty cheeks.
 
After being handed the bronze ring Dusk left the store, a grin on his face. 'Alright, time to buy some healing potions and herbs. You can never be too careful when it comes to fighting against those creatures.'
 
It only took Dusk about an hour to finish going around all of the various markets on the campus and gathering all of the items he needed. He was currently sat on a wooden bench across from the academy's library. He looked up at the blazing sun, a frown on his face.
 
"Seriously, all of the gold I earned is already used up. Maybe I should stop being so rude to that old Hermit. With 50 more gold I could have bought like five hundred chocolate parfaits," he said. 'Oh well, it doesn't matter. I'll just go out to the beast range again with Joan later to earn some more. But first thing is first, time to go use up these learning points.'
 
Dusk took out a platinum necklace that he wore around his neck and pushed some of his mana into it. A blue screen materialized in front of his eyes. Dozens of rows of writing were laid out on the screen, along with arrows that pointed to either side of the page. Writing that outlined his health, mana and many other stats were visible to him, along with the amount of gold and number of learning points he had. The necklace was a device called a Tracker. It used magic and the most advanced technology to put a person's capabilities into universal numerical values. This meant that if a demon had a health value of 100, and a human had a health value of 100, both were booming with the same amount of life force.

'Alright, 120 learning points. That should be enough to buy one book to learn from at the library.' Dusk looked toward the library, a glint in his eyes, and with a smile he got off the bench and made his way to its front doors. The doors to the library were rather large, almost three times Dusk's size. Instead of pushing the door open, Dusk simply waited. A short while later the doors opened by themselves.
 
A fresh waft of lemon reached Dusk as he entered the library. Hundreds of metal shelves were spread out in the large area that was the library. There were ten floors in the library. Advancing to a higher level meant that the books were of a greater value, yet this also required for an individual to pass a certain skill level to be able to go there. As it was currently, Dusk was only able to use the ground floor and the first floor above.
 
Dusk walked past dozens upon dozens of students as he made his way to the only stairway in the library. After reaching the stairway, he pressed his hand against the rail, confirming his identity and ability to move up to the next floor. This was the mechanism which the library used to prevent students from going to a level too high for their current ability.
 
'If only I could go to a higher floor, I'm more than confident that I'd be able to learn the spells with ease. It's so annoying that there aren't that many supportive spells on the ground floor and first level.' After walking up to the first floor, Dusk once again held onto his platinum necklace, causing the blue screen to once again fill his vision.
 
[Spells Available: Torchlight, Haste, Barrier, Heal]
 
'I'll be able to finally get a fifth spell. I've been studying at this academy for three months already, and this is the first time I'll be getting a new spell. If only they'd let us start going to the beast range much earlier, then I'd be a spell lexicon by now.'
 
Dusk moved toward a pedestal near the entrance of the first floor. He placed his hand on the pedestal. With a wave of arcana a large amount of information flooded into his mind. Another virtual screen came into view, depicting all of the books that were available on this floor of the library.
 
'Sort books by those that cost 120 or less learning points.'
 
About half of the total books available on the first floor were instantly removed from the screen as Dusk refined the search to fit his tastes.
 
'Sort remaining books by spells categorized as supportive or non offensive.'
 
Of the remaining books, more than 3/4 were removed after he gave this command. In total there were only ten books remaining, each ranging from a price point of 50 to 120 learning points. The coordinates to each of the books were directly transferred into his mind, and he quickly went to work at gathering each of the books. After finding them, he sat down on one of the multiple mahogany desks on the level.
 
Copious amounts of light entered the library, shining down at Dusk from the transparent ceiling. He flicked through the contents of the ten books scattered on his desk, humming to himself as he did so. 'Such a difficult decision to make, but I think I'll go with this one.'

"Over here." Amelia pointed at a door as she approached it.
"Hmm."
Amelia opened the door for Sato to get through it. As he walked through the door, Sato was greeted by the sight of a huge and impressive hall.
The library was huge hall filled with wooden bookcases almost 2 and a half metres tall. Despite so, it looked quite sturdy and the wood didn't seem to be an ordinary one or something on oar with cedar or mahogany; it looked way more expensive and better. At the side of the book cases, a few words were painted on them, signifying the central topic of the books on the cases. On each of them were a ton of books and manuscripts of different ages, all focused or associated with Blacksmithing. These were writings or experiences from predecessors on Blacksmithing, containing enough knowledge to raise a Master level Blacksmith.
The library wasn't only filled with book cases and books. At certain intervals on the side, a pot of flowers was kept on the side to beautiful the environment. At the center of the library, was a small fountain that created a pond there. Apparently, the essence of the fountain was to use the sound of the water flowing to calm the minds of readers and to combat that excessive feeling of silence. [1]
Apart from the sound of water running and a few footsteps, nothing else could be heard here.
"So what would you like to begin with?" Amelia asked Sato.
"I'd like to read some past experiences of other Blacksmiths. I'm having a bit of trouble in my work." Sato replied.
"Hmm...past experiences. I think there are a lot of them here and there are a few specific ones at that. Over here."
Amelia then lead Sato a bit deeper into the library before stopping at a book case.
"Right here." Amelia said to Sato.
"Hmm." Sato nodded in acquiescence as he walked closer to the book case. He began scanning through the books and manuscripts, in search of one to take with him.
"Hmm. Hieler's words, Masic's Procedures, Master Dorian's Experience in Forging, Etihad's Savoir-faire on Blacksmithing. There sure are a lot of books...Hmm? Juggard's Hammer strikes?" Sato brought his eye on a small insignificant booklet.
"Oh that? That's a simple manual from the Grand-master Blacksmith Juggard. He is known as the Father of modern day Blacksmithing and forging since most beginners rely on his manuals." Amelia explained.
"A Grand-master Blacksmith?" Sato was surprised. "Why is his work tossed here just like this?"
"You seem to misunderstand. This book has been copied all over the world. This isn't a special copy or anything and it's only useful to beginners and apprentices so it isn't as valued as the others."
"The others?" Sato asked.
"The good ones. You should have guessed that this isn't all the ones the guild has right?" Amelia smiled mysteriously.
"That's true. Alright then. I will take these two. Can I borrow them from the guild?" Sato said as he brought out the two books: 'Juggard's Hammer strikes' and ''Master Dorian's Experience in Forging'.
"Well, usually, you can't unless you're an official Blacksmith but Master Owen permitted you guys." Amelia replied.
'He really is helping us that much huh...'
"Okay then." Sato nodded.
"Then follow me to finish up the procedures." Amelia said.
6:35 PM. RT (Real-Time)
It didn't take long for Sato to be done with the procedures before he could take the book.
[[System : Incoming Audio call.
Caller ID : Emperor Wolf
Accept/Decline ]]
As he left the Blacksmith guild, Sato received a call from his System interface, an In-game call. To be exact and one from Fudo.
[[System : Audio call accepted]]
"Hello."
"Hey, Sato what's up? Where are you?" Fudo's enthusiastic voice replied from the other end of the call.
"I'm at the Blacksmith guild. It shouldn't be so far from you so come on over." Sato replied him.
"Hehe. Guess who I found here?" Fudo chuckled mysteriously.
"Seiichi." Sato plainly replied. When he had got back home, he sent Seiichi a message asking him to head over to their location at Riverdale. Seiichi was a hardcore gamer so Sato wasn't worried that he would come late.
"...How the hell did you know that?!" Fudo yelled, shocked that Sato had guessed it in one try.
"I sent him over there. Bring him with you while coming. Oh and also, what about Takehasi?"
"Tch. No wonder you guessed it so quickly." Fudo grumbled. "As for Takehasi, he already has an account in the game but he's positioned elsewhere, Maple leaf Kingdom or something. I think he said it was at the Western side of the continent."
"At the West? That's far." Sato sighed. The Fallen Heart Kingdom where Sato was, is located at the South-Eastern side of the continent, way far from the Maple Leaf Kingdom. The kingdoms neighbouring Fallen Heart were just Reiss and Belarusia, both kingdoms under the Brahman Empire. There was also another piece of land though but this was directly under the Andare, a rival power to the Brahman Empire.
"What about Natsuo?" Sato asked again.
"Same with him but he's a bit closer though. The Reiss Kingdom. If I remember correctly, they should be one of our neighbours." Fudo answered.
"Yeah. Put the call on speaker let me talk to Seiichi."
"It already was." Fudo replied.
"I'm here." Seiichi's voice sounded from the call.
"Oh? Seiichi, how did it go with Katsuo?" Sato asked him.
"Good I guess. Katsuo should be setting up his avatar and he will be done in the next 5 or so minutes."
"What class?" Sato asked.
"I don't know but he did mention it's an MT one; either a [Paladin] or a [Guardian]."
"Okay then. You can wait for him while I stock on supplies. We don't have a healer yet so we would need a lot of vials." Sato sighed. When it was with him and Fudo, the expenses were still slightly manageable but with a few more numbers, things would get a whole lot more expensive.
"Later."
[[System : Audio call terminated]]
Sato glanced up to face the skies as he began to think of how to go about things from now.
'Oh, I forgot to ask about Yato. Hai…'
While Sato wen about to go purchase a few goods, unbeknownst to him, a commotion had arisen from Yukino's actions back then. The forums were heated up discussing about her as various different news with appealing headlines appeared all over the place. While there were a few that had an 'okay' title, some of them took things a little bit too far.
"Shocking, Emperor's Might Top beauty attacks in Town and doesn't get arrested."
"The Snow Goddess has seized her place as the untouchable player of Riverdale."
"Did the Snow Goddess have an affair with the Town's head to escape punishment? Find out now!"
"The Love story of Town Head Arman and the Snow Goddess."
"The Snow Goddess; even her charm knows no bounds as she seduces her way out of jail with her beauty."
As dumb as some of the headlines sounded, they all focused on one fact; the Snow Goddess, Akihira Yukino, had attacked a player in town but didn't receive any punishment despite encountering the Town guards.
Some players had thought thus was a glitch or a bug and so tried to replicate the exact same scenario but oh, were they disappointed as they got caught and jailed in prison. A few others, the envious guild players to be exact, wrote an aggressive report to the developers, claiming that the System was rigged. However, the developers had released a statement claiming that nothing was wrong with the System and it was only the Snow Goddess' efforts that set her free. This didn't succeed in calming the players down as there were more criticism and complaints filed to the company. Until they finally released the reason to her being free.
"The top 10 players of the Most Kills award in the Individual category all received the basic reward and this included the title [Humanity's Friend]."
It was just a sentence but as more players researched on it and recalled the title from back then, they finally understood why. The title made their relationship levels with human forces to be at an [Honoured] level. So almost like a noble, they would be respected where ever they went, as long as it was a human settlement. In other words, so long as Yukino explained to the guards about what she did and why she did so, together with the fact that she only injured a player and didn't commit murder, there was no reason for her to be jailed. After all, her merits had already surpassed her crimes. There was only one sentence left in the minds of players once they knew this; Why didn't I try better back then?

Two weeks ago

Addy should have known her day was going too smooth to be true. She didn't mistakenly swallow toothpaste, spill milk over the kitchen counter or even forget her deodorant -little accidents that had haunted her over the years had forgotten to visit her that fine morning and without them kicking her slow she got ready within a span of ten minutes.
As she skipped out of her apartment door and locked it up, she realized she had accidentally skipped her breakfast as well. Addy didn't let that thought bother her. She considered it as a 'happy accident'. Food in the morning had never failed to make her nauseous and the last thing she needed on a day she genuinely felt good was to throw up at work. 
The walk to the library was short as she plugged in her earbuds and let her ears drown in soft music, taking her surroundings for granted as she usually did.
Addy saw the library building before she reached it. It was the tallest and undoubtedly the most magnificent building in the city, easily looming over neighbouring buildings by a hundred metres or so. Compared to the bland, concrete townhouses, it had a more appealing structure because of its neoclassical architectural style with a pinch of modern elements which it had attained after recent renovations. Locals believed that the library was built by an Italian lord who wanted his sons to experience the wonders of reading, but soon after it was constructed, a plague had hit the land leading to the death of his sons, with him being brutally murdered by conspiring nobles soon after.
Since then, the abandoned library was looked after by a loyal servant of the deceased lord and passed onto his descendants until the last owner sold the property to a huge company in the city five years ago. After an entire year of renovations, the massive building was finally open for the locals, this time not only in the form of a library but also a publishing house and a cafe. They had named it 'Ink Outside The Box'.
Ink Outside The Box was invariably vibrant and buzzing with life with employees running around to complete their task for the day, customers sharing gossips under their breath as audio books played in the background at the cafe, not to mention kids screaming and tearing pages from picture books at the 'Children's Hub'. Amongst this chaos, the actual library was the only place which conserved silence and the fact that it was situated way back in the building helped in achieving the tranquil library environment.
Addy was one of the three assistant librarians hired six months ago. The working conditions were great, the pay decent and the people friendly but she hated each living second of working there.
She, however, decided she wouldn't spend the entire day complaining since it was actually running on her favour. She had a feeling nothing would go terribly that day.
But...
As we all know, the easiest way to jinx your day is to say that nothing can go wrong with it and that was what had happened.
Addy jinxed it.

Addy found herself trapped inside the book she had hate read.

For the sake of returning home and holding onto her sanity, Addy teamed up with an eccentric aromatherapist to complete the tasks assigned by the senile writer.





"But what has his pennies to do with your tasks?" Addy asked, gesturing at the pile of glinting pennies.

"His pennies have everything to do with your task. You will know when the time comes." The writer smiled.

Addy clenched he teeth together. 

POOF!

"And... he's gone."
 
Addy walked towards the pile of pennies and grabbed a handful, not knowing how they would lead her towards a path of adventure, ass-kicking and an unlikely romance.



12. 45 A.M.
PAPAL PALACE, VATICAN CITY, ROME.
The Pope looks visibly shaken by what had just occurred few minutes ago as he sat on a sofa in the balcony. He had a clear view of the city in all its beauty, but he could barely appreciate the beauty as he normally did. Tonight strangely heralded impending doom and he could feel it; His fears were heightened after the unexpected intrusion into the palace. 
The strange intruder who introduced himself as just The Messenger did drop a message that had been haunting him since he left.
In the small brief case he delivered is a Blu-ray disk which contained a recorded voice message. 
He played it again, for the sixth time and listened to it but didn't quite understand the content as it comprised of a foreign language and pidgin English. 
He had sent for the Camerlengo through one of the Swiss guards guarding the lodge.
The Camerlengo is a clergy specially chosen by the Pope himself to serve as the administrator of the property and revenues of the Holy See and to assist him both personally and on official matters. He was much closer to the powerful religious leader than any other person.
He had chosen Pietro Francesco Bademosi, a Nigerian-born priest as his Camerlengo. He gave him the enviable position because of his exceptional brilliance. The Camerlengo knew more than was required in moral theology, philosophy and the canon law. His general efficiency made him easily likeable.
The heavy oak door opened a bit and the face of the handsome ebony priest appears.
"Morning, Santita. I was just informed that the security of your private quarters was breached a few minutes ago and the guards were attacked, are you okay?" He said, walking in and taking a seat opposite the Pope. 
He obviously still possessed youthful exuberance and he looked as bright and anxious as always. He was on a black night robe with a gold cord tied round the waist and was barefooted. 
"Yes, he didn't seem to be after my life." The Holy Father maintained a calm demeanor.
"Grazie a DioThank God, your life was spared. You seem worried, what was that all about?" The Camerlengo asked.
"This." He said, turning over the laptop to him. "I want you to listen carefully to this audio message."
The cleric played the audio and by the look on his face, he evidently understood what it meant.
"It is a threat. Your Holiness. A serious threat from an internationally acclaimed terrorist. I think he's from my country, Nigeria." the Camerlengo said when the audio finished playing.
"What is the content?" the Holy Father asked, fixing his eyes on the clergy. 
"Not something you would like to hear, padre." 
"Go ahead, we are listening."	
The Camerlengo shook his head.
"I think it's a trap. It claims to be from a notorious mafia and religious sect in Africa known as The Malibu and they're demanding your presence for a negotiation of some sort."
The Holy Father nods his head serenely.
"But it doesn't make any sense." the Camerlengo said. "There is more. He gives you only 24 hours to do so and threatens to blow up the Vatican City and unleash untold horrors if his needs are not met. He mentions all the important places of the Vatican, The Academy of Sciences, the Vatican library, the Belvedere palace, the Vatican museum, the Sistine chapel and even this very papal palace." 
"Is there any other thing we should hear?" The Pope asked.
The Camerlengo did little to hide his surprise. He had always known the Holy Father to be calm even when it was raining fire and brimstone, but he looked remarkable tonight, almost beaming right in the face of death.
"He promised to air this at exactly 6 a.m. today in every major television station in the Vatican and in the major countries of the world. According to the audio message, he would do disastrous things so as to demonstrate how serious he is."
"Perfect timing for the evil forces trying to take down the Holy Church. Tonight, we might be celebrating the risen Lord in an inferno."
"I beg of you, Your Holiness. Don't be pessimistic."
"You just heard it yourself, but something must be done. Get me the Chief Swiss Guard and inform the Alitalia that we would be requiring her services. 'Shepherd One' Should be readied. And we may possibly put an end to this before it becomes late." 
"But Your Holiness, your scheduled visit there is almost a month away and besides your life may be in danger, my Lord." The Camerlengo protests.
"Listen carefully, Francesco. If it's possible that this message could be delivered in such a manner, is it then our life that would be difficult to take? We are willing to sacrifice my life for the good of the church. We must have to do this."
"But Your Holiness, your scheduled visit to Nigeria is just a month away and besides your life might be in danger." The Camerlengo implored.
"We have made up our mind." The Pope said. 
The Camerlengo made a slight bow.
"If that is your wish, Holy Father."
"Please do send for Signoré Giovanni Lorenzo." 
"You mean the President of APSA?" The Camerlengo asked.
"Yes, we need him in times like this."
