The first thing Jason and Caroline sensed after they were swallowed by the black smoke, was a painful screech coming from some.

The next thing they felt, was that as if they were being thrown in all kinds of directions, yet they were somehow not hitting anything.

Slowly they regained their vision and their ability to move, and the giant spider legs for some reason let go of them and they just fell on the hallway floor.

Sounds of cracks and pops, the smell of smoke and the feeling of heat surrounded them - the hotel hallway was burning. There were two very conspicuous holes in the floor, and around these two holes were a couple of burning piles of tar-like matter. 

The giant human-formed spider struggled in the burning hallway and tried to back away from where Jason and Caroline were. It appeared to be extremely fearful of the silver and orange flames that were burning all around the hallway and it appeared to be missing a few of its legs.

"Pop!" a piece of the carpet beneath one of the spider's leg burst out burning in silver and orange flame. The spider jumped and tried to move the leg away, yet a large chunk of this leg was already burned by the flame. Some of the human bodies that formed it seemed to be melted off and dropped on the ground, and started burning like drops of tar-like matter around the holes in the floor.

"Carry them away!" Caroline gave Jason a push and knocked him out of his shock and confusion, then pointed at Branston, Brian and Adam: "We must carry them away!"

"Right! Now!" Jason came to himself and rushed to the side of the three unconscious young men with Caroline, and started dragging them away from the fires.

The spider was finally able to back away and into the shadows. But its body was already badly damaged when it did. There were some parts of its body that caught fire, it just shed the burning human body parts like chunks of dead skin, exposing the internals of its body in the process.

And even through the fires and almost a whole hallway away, Jason and Caroline were still able to make out a part of the human-formed spider's "core" : it was a woman, in a golden-colored gown cradled in a fetal position. Unlike all other parts of the limbo, this woman and her gown had color on them and were not grey.

After letting out a loud and threatening screech, the spider disappeared into the shadows at the far end of the hallway.

When Jason and Caroline came to, they found that they were still standing in the hallway, and to their relief the hallway was not on fire at all.

But something definitely was on fire, since they smelled smoke.

"Caroline? Your backpack!"

"And yours!"

Looked like while they were in the limbo, something ignited all the incense in both their backpacks, the insides of their backpack were burned and badly damaged. But luckily, nothing else caught fire.

The folded paper sigils were also burnt down into barely recognizable pieces, and each of their metal mirrors were in incredibly high temperature and Caroline almost got her hand burnt while she was cleaning out her backpack.

Branston, Brian and Adam did not wake up as fast as Jason and Caroline, and they seemed to be very confused when they did.

"Stream's disconnected. What happened? Did we stream at all?" Branston asked Brian and Adam, yet neither was able to give him an answer.

"Hey, Caroline, Jason." Brian ran up to the two who were staring at two bunches of incense in their hands: "Looks like we got confused there for a bit, did we do the stream? Do you guys remember?"

"... No?"  Caroline thought for a minute and decided she wanted to play dumb: "I don't remember much from before. What do you remember?"

"Honestly? Almost nothing." Brian turned back and took a look at Branston who was trying his hardest to adjust his camera and get the stream online, and Adam on the side helping him, while his expression clearly showed that he was trying really hard to remember what happened.

"It's probably for the best." Caroline smiled, "I felt like we went through something terrifying, it's a blessing in disguise if we cannot remember anything."

"Caroline? Look at the smoke." Jason interrupted the brief conversation between Brian and Caroline.

Some of the incense in their backpacks was still burning, and a lot of the smoke that was trapped in there was also released when they tried to get things out. Yet the smoke did not dissipate like normal smoke would, nor did it rise up to the ceiling or out the window. Instead, all of the smoke drifted through the air across the hallway and gathered around a decorative pillar half embedded in the wall at the far end of the hallway.

The smoke from the incense was light, not cough-inducing and even had a calming smell, yet somehow it started to char that piece of the decorative pillar.

Jason and Caroline's eyes met, the same realization just came over them.

"Fuck yeah! I just got it working!" Branston cheered as he finally got his camera to start shooting and his livestream back online, "Woah, the chats we got, it's insane!"

"Let me see. What are they saying? " Brian and Adam hastily took out their phones to check the status of the live stream.

A loud bang startled Branston, Brian and Adam. As they looked over to where the sound came from, they saw Jason and Caroline violently tearing up a decorative pillar in a wall at the end of the hallway.

"Woah woah woah! Guys! We are not supposed to do this!" Brian quickly rushed to Jason and Caroline's side and exclaimed: "You can't cause damage to the hotel! What do you think you're doing?"

"Hey! What are you guys doing there!? What's with the smoke!?" two doors opened and several guests came out of their rooms: "Stop it! We're calling the hotel staff!"

Jason and Caroline did not even slow down, they already broke the surface of the decorative pillar, and they started breaking and pulling out what was inside: dusty fillings, old wooden boards and panels.

"Stop it! Stop it!" a female guest sounded like she was about to cry: "This is a historic hotel! You can't do this!"

"Historic, made sense..." Jason muttered as he reached his hand down to the hole they made and pulled out a piece of wood panel that for some reason seemed corrupted and blackened.

"Stop what you're doing, now!" two security guards from the hotel made it to the scene and tried to drag both Jason and Caroline away, but big and tall as they were, they were pushed to the side.

"Branston! Your camera! Come here!" Caroline yelled at the three young men who just seemed to get every streaming device online, "Turn on your flashlight and take a look down here!"

"There's a body inside!" noticing that Branston was hesitant because of the presence of the bodyguards, Caroline spelled out loudly what she and Jason found.

He left his home, unwillingly, to a realm of cultivation, Xianshu, mythical manuals and Dao. And now he’s here due to a failed attempt at going home, a place bears a lot of resemblance but not the same.

“At least it’s close enough here. I’ll get there on my next jump.” Jianmen Yu said to himself, “But while I’m prepping, let me do my old job here for a bit.”

Bones leapt from my arms and slithered around the legs of a decorative table to the door. His tail sashayed as he slinked against its extravagant frame. Natural wood molding framed the sides with two curved pieces carved into cattails atop the entry. A cardinal sat majestically in between the two cattails. I was in awe at it's beauty and didn't dare move forward. The room smelled familiar but I couldn't quite place it. It was a flowery fragrance and brought back memories of home. The image of my mother spending long Summer days tending to her gardenias came forth to my mind. It left me quickly as I noticed Bones scratching at the elegant door. 

"Don't do that," I said crossing the room, "Your claws will leave marks." I guess it doesn't really matter though since this is my dream anyway. I scooped him up just as the large door swung open. A man, Arkis, met my eyes. His handsome face a perfect replica of the photos on his profile. Damn my memory is good. I stood hunched over gawking at his gorgeous blue eyes. He peered into mine then lowered his gaze to Bones. My heart twinged at the awkwardness. 

"That is the cutest cat I've ever seen. I had no idea we were bring pets or I would have brought my cat Bravo. Can I pet him," he said excitedly, his voice deep and endearing. He reached for my cat, who hopped freely into his arms. 

"Um...hi." I fumbled, standing straight up. A knowing smile spread across his face as he pet Bones. He stepped to the side inviting me in. My body moved stiffly, hand over foot, hand over foot.
Then the door shut behind us. I now stood in a large suit. Off the the side I could see a set of French doors left open to see a large king side bed.  In front of me a sitting room with frilly furniture and the other side a kitchen. The kitchen extended out into a dining area where another set of French doors led out to a balcony. My brain felt overwhelmed.

"How was your trip?" He asked letting Bones down. Arkis turned to face me but my eyes were still locked on my little traitor. Words had left me. 

"Since she seems unable to answer I will, our trip was fine." The cat spoke in a monotone voice. The cat can talk. A cat can speak. Speaketh doth the cat. 

"I don't think she knew you could speak my friend. You're scaring her look at her face. She's gone pale." Arkis scolded the talking cat. My talking cat. 

"He talks. Since when does he talk? This is the weirdest dream of my life. I need to wake up from this dream." I pinched my arm fiercely. Pain. Arkis reaches for my hand swiftly. A deep red mark was left behind. It would probably bruise.

"Don't do that. He can't normally talk. Don't freak out." He calmed though it didn't really do anything.

"He just talked. I passed through a mirror from my apartment and came to an elevator. It's a dream. Tell me this is a dream. You can't walk through mirrors with your talking cat sidekick. That's like not a thing right." Word vomit spewed from my mouth. There was no controlling it's spillage as I began to process.

"It's not a dream. Though I am dreamy," he snickered, I glared at him, "Right not the time for flirting. Your cat can't like speak English. He's just speak in his native tongue. My home has the latest translation technology. I am also not speaking English but I sound like I am. Listen to me carefully, I know you're a little bit confused since this is your first time using Portal."

"Confused!? The cats talking and you're telling me I'm confused. My mind is blown. Translation technology, I've never even heard of that." I interrupted. He stood quietly for a moment. The gently he took my hand and guided me to sit on one of the chair in the living area. He placed a small blanket on my lap. Maybe he thought I was cold because I was shaking so much. Then he took his seat next to mine. A small table sat between us holding a small fake plant. I looked around for Bones but he had run off somewhere to hide.

"Well the cat talking isn't the only big change for you. Right now we aren't on Earth," he paused long enough for my face to shift though several emotions, "Portal allows users to meet people from different planets. You are on Nova. That is my home world. Nova is also the base world for Portal. If you read the terms and conditions it would give you all this information. I mean seriously what's with Earthlings." He fell silent. I suppose it was so I could process things.nothing he said really made sense to me. Maybe he's delusional. Can I even trust this guy?

"No one reads the terms and conditions. Anyone who says the do is a bold face liar. Why would you put it there. Who wants to sift through eight pages of legal jargon. No thanks." I spoke calmly. His eyes glistened under the bright sun. No suns. I could see the outline of two in the distance, though I didn't  look directly at them.

"If you read it in this instance it might have saved you some trouble." He flashed a sarcastic smile. My heart fluttered for just a moment but my skepticism returned. Something about him made me want to trust him. He was extremely charismatic and that is a quality I really like in men.

"So like, if that's true how do I get home?" Now somewhat worried this would be a long term thing. I still had to finish my rough draft for the article and rent was due soon. 

"You just click return home on your app. Don't worry I'll walk you though if. I understand if you want to reschedule since you seem a little bit overwhelmed by everything." He said confidently.

Adriana leaned forward, grabbed the notepad, pens, and the list Bo had made earlier, and handed them to him. Then she pulled the laptop onto her legs and opened the internet browser.
She typed what she wanted to know directly into the search bar. She scrolled through the list hoping to find a credible answer to her question.
"Look at this." She spoke quietly as she read through the information on the page she had opened about Lei Ting medallions.
The creator of the web page had a long list that contained pictures and explanations of the medallions Kaitlin had given her and Bo. It also showed several other medallions with several other inscriptions.
Most of the inscriptions were created for the same purposes as the ones she already had. As she scrolled through, Adriana saw one that was meant to shield the holder from seeing the dead.
Other than what they already had and the few oddballs, there was not a single inscription that would suit the purposes they were looking for. Everything they found was intended to shield, cast away, hide from, or protect one from the dead people in the Mirror Kingdom. None of them were created to converse with, or bring the dead to anyone.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Bo taking notes. When he finished writing down the name of the medallion and the magic it inflicted, Adriana clicked on the page that showed the items the owner sold.
There were several medallions of multiple different sizes that could be inscribed with whatever the buyer wanted. Some were large enough to be hung on the wall as a decorative ornament, while others were small enough to be put on a key chain.
There were also necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings, rings, and buttons available. Each one of the items had an option to be customized for the buyer's needs.
Adriana scrolled all the way back to the top of the web page and clicked on the tab labeled 'contact us'.
"It says... All items available are inscribed with the incantations that will keep you safe and secure. For inscriptions that are not readily available or incantations for other purposes fill in your contact information or call our customer care center during business hours." Adriana read aloud then filled in her name, number, and email address while Bo wrote down the customer care number.
"It's too late to call them tonight, but we can call them in the morning." He assured her.
"They'll think we're absolutely nuts for what we'll be asking for." She tried to give a small smile.
"Probably. Hopefully they'll be kind enough to customize something for what we need, or at least point us in the right direction of someone who can help us." He added quietly.
Adriana clicked the home button. In the search bar, she typed 'legends about the Mirror Kingdom', then pressed enter. The page loaded with hundreds of sources to go through.
Adriana knew that myths and legends had a way of getting twisted and turned every time they were repeated. She also knew that she would have to sift through the information and hope that something was true and relevant to their situation.
She clicked on the first link, hoping there would be something useful to be found. However, the page was mostly filled with pictures of broken mirrors and simple signs telling people to be aware of mirror dwellers.
Adriana clicked the back button, then clicked on the next page. The site she had landed on was a simple blog that told the same tales Kaitlin had shared, only in different words. Adriana filled in her email, and clicked the subscribe button hoping the writer of the blog would update with newer information that would help them.
She clicked the back button again and systematically went down the list. After going through more than four pages of the list, she found another blog that seemed to be more like a personal online journal rather than informational blog.
Adriana clicked on it and began reading the most recent post. It was simply titled 'Matter Of Glass'.
"Check this out, Bo." Adriana whispered as she leaned the screen back so they could both have a better view of the screen.
The writer claimed to have seen several people that were supposed to be dead. She also discussed her use of Lei Ting medallions to keep the spirits away.
The posts that were published prior to the first discussed a lot of what they already knew about people being attacked and the discoloration of the skin, followed by an unknown cause of death.
The blogger also went on to say that the type of glass was irrelevant. She had discovered that it wasn't necessarily mirrors that caused a problem. The glass of a window pane was just as much of an access point for the dead as a mirror was.
She also discussed ideas about the Mirror Kingdom not being exactly what the ancient Chinese civilization thought it was. She said perhaps it is a place for lost souls to find one another, rather than someplace for old souls to gather until they can rise up and destroy humanity.
Adriana scrolled back to the top of the page and subscribed to this blog as well. She also left a comment for the blogger with her email address attached.
"Hopefully she'll contact me. I think we need to find out where else this is happening." Adriana told Bo.
"I think you're right. The more help we have, the better our chances of figuring out how to stop the deaths and the kidnappings." He replied somberly.
"What should I look for now?" She asked him.
"To be honest, I have no idea." He said sounding slightly confused.
"Me neither." She replied, clicking the exit button at the top of the browser.
She closed the laptop and placed it back on the stand. She reached for the glasses of tea, handed Bo his glass and sipped from her own as she leaned back against him.
"I don't want to say anything that will upset you, but I have to ask... did Alison and Frankie have any family that needs to be contacted?" Bo asked sounding like he would rather be discussing anything else.
"Not anymore. Their parents died quite some years back. Their other brother died in a car crash a few years ago. And, their aunt Marcy died of a heart attack a few months ago." Adriana said with tears burning the back of her eyes.
Thunder boomed outside and rain began to patter the roof. They could hear the wind beginning to pick up speed, shaking the trees and the windows.
"My God. They've had it rough these past few years, haven't they?" Bo shook his head sadly, pulling Adriana closer to him.
"Yes, they have. It's horrible for such good people to lose everyone they love." Adriana tried to keep her tears at bay.
"No one deserves the things they've had to deal with. It tears me apart to know that they both had to die so young, too." The grief Bo had been trying to stifle was evident in the way his voice broke as he spoke.
"They're all each other had anymore." Adriana replied as tears spilled over her cheeks.

With everybody focused on the castle once again, Dani ordered the invasion. They jumped the wall one by one. Logan cast an illusion that kept them mostly hidden as they snuck into the courtyard. The team remained low, keeping their formation as before. Closer to the castle, within the courtyard, snowmen patrolled. This was easy for Logan and Leira to handle.

They ducked behind fresh carven fixtures throughout the courtyard. Decorative stone statutes and well-trimmed bushes were merely tools for them to kill the enemy. The pair snuck around laying traps to stun while silently killing the snowmen with fire magic. It was quite frequent that Logan would set a fire trap and allow Leira to kill them with a flame arrow. The two executed the plan flawlessly, leading Dani and Andres to the castle wall.

The wall had a beautiful exterior design that would allow them to climb up to a balcony on the third floor. Andres even cracked a joke that it pays not to be fancy. Logan began climbing up with an illusion to help prevent anything from seeing them. Dani stuck close behind him, Leira struggled her little way in front of Andres who was most suited to carry her in a worst-case scenario.

Once they climbed up, the four had quietly jumped down to a balcony on the third floor. They remained hidden low while Logan sensed inside the castle. Leira peaked over the balcony, gazing upon its beauty. She admired the was the water was frozen from the fountains and the trees. Snowman patrolled through un-ventured areas of the courtyard. She couldn't help wondering what it would be like to ice skate on the large frozen fountains. Andres was smashed into the balcony which brought Leira back into focus.

Andres rose his shield in time as a giant bold pincer stabbed at him. The pincers continued stabbing at Andres prompting Leira to shoot it away. As she stood up turning towards the hairy attacker, Leira's legs began to tremble. Her bow aimed away to the ground while Leira herself was screaming. She squirmed herself into a corner on the balcony in hopes that her escorts would.

Andres was being smashed into the floor while maintaining a firm grip on his shield. The hairy creature stood tall with its spider body pushing forward. instead of a head, it had a human torso with giant eyes around its stomach, chest, and sides. There was no mouth visible. The pincer arms felt like missiles while banging into Andres' shield. It tried to aim for his legs. Andres wasn't a weak player to give the enemy that kind of privilege.

Leira was now crying harder than Mina ever did. Her face was between her legs, kissing her ass goodbye while tears spilled on the floor. Andres yelled for her not to quit. Luckily for him, Leira had no will to make any decision on her own at the moment.

Spring to his feet to dodge a pincer strike, Andres tossed his shield at the creature. It slammed into its eyes. Yet the creature chased Andres quicker. He parried with his sword to slice the left arm. He rolled over to grab his shield. The creature swung at him hard, but Andres tanked the full swing with his shield. After being slammed into a wall, a giant fireball shot the creature off of the balcony. Dani stood in a firm stance firing at multiple while Logan was slicing through the injured ones to kill them. Andres ran over to continue the fight while Leira sat in her corner.

It wasn't long for the three to kill off the creatures. Sure it wasn't tactical. In fact, they were now exposed in the castle. Even so, they were still full of energy and ready to take on another boss.

Logan grabbed up Leira by the hand, pulling on her to follow them. Andres began storming through the halls of the castle, guiding them through the safest routes. Room by room, the four ran launching surprise attacks on their foes. Leira was scared of the creatures. Likewise, she was amazed by the beautiful crystal design of the castle. They looted the rooms afterward and found many points in treasure chests. Further looting allowed the team to find a new bow and axe for Leira. Andres chose to carry the axe on his hip to continue using his 

Dani couldn't help to notice that they weren't getting anywhere running around the castle. Unfortunately, Andres couldn't find any new routes. He was stuck leading the team in circles endlessly. Even Leira knew there was something up.

Dani began recounting their chosen pathways in the castle as Logan looked about the crystalized mirrors on the walls. He observed how each one reflected him. Slowly motioning his hand, Logan realized that one of the mirrors reflected him slightly different.

"What's up Logan?" asked Andres as Logan himself faced the mirror with a slightly different reflection.

"Let's smash it," he said.

In an instant, Dani fired a pure magical bullet that smashed the mirror to dust. The crystallized dust blew around towards the center of the room to form a scythe-wielding warrior made of crystallized glass. Its glass eyes were filled with sorrow. He launched himself at Leira for a kill. Each swing of his scythe sent a gust of ice particles that froze anything it touched. Andres defended Leira, allowing Dani to shoot at the crystal warrior multiple times. Once Logan was close enough, he used his sword to disable the warrior and dodged the warrior's counterstrike. Andres threw his shield at the warrior's head, allowing Logan to pierce his sword into him.

"Scatter," yelled Logan, causing the warrior the shatter into tiny glass pieces.

Leira stood recalling how the warrior was able to freeze things and wondered why would Logan get close to such a warrior. She looked at Logan's face and noticed his smile. It wasn't a smirk of victory. Rather it was a smile of fun that people commonly wore when they were aroused playing sports or a video game.

Dani walked over and smacked Logan on his head. This didn't hide Andres' cheeky smile as he grabbed his shield.

The two boys laughed as Dani tried to pull them together. She looked over at Leira who was pretty lost on the motives at this point.

"They're just having fun," said Dani as she shook her head. "But seriously, we need to take this seriously. So get it together".

"I don't know what you want from us," smirked Andres, "You know we love this".

The agitated Dani pointed out that nothing was behind the smashed mirror and there were likely more mirrors that they must destroy to unlock something. This was quite obvious, causing Logan to mock her. Dani refrained from beating Logan further and insisted that they look for more mirrors to break. This was fine with the boys. Though as they began retracing themselves around the third floor of the castle, Logan couldn't help but notice that one of the giant mirrors in the hallway had a tint of red. They stopped to investigate it. Yet couldn't find any abnormalities.

Thus the four continued smashing the odd mirror in each room and subsequently defeating the scythe-wielding warriors from each mirror. This left them roaming about looking for the next piece to the puzzle. Coming across the giant mirror in the hallway again, the team realized it was no longer tinted, but rather red. 

Dani positioned her team behind a fixture, ready for combat. She shot out a well charged magical bullet that blew up the mirror. Leira felt the shockwave of glass brush through them. Her skin felt as though sandpaper was yanking her hairs off her body. Her heart was about to burst until Andres called "clear".

Dani gasped as she looked towards the shattered mirror. Leira took a peak witnessing a giant hidden room now accessible. Unlike the rest of the third floor, this hidden room was made of a dark stone with bloodstains on the walls. The air from this form blew out a stank that was foreign to Leira but strong enough to make her not want to go in. What's worse, there was a circular platform in the wall with two chained giants next to it. 

"They're dead," said Logan as he sauntered towards the platform. 

Andres looked at the two dead giants realizing that despite being dead, they were still conscious. Unlike Logan who was eager to ride the platform with Dani, Andres approached the two lifeless giants. 

Chains were attached to their spine and joints, bounding them to the wall. "Please help us," begged the giant on the left. A black venom spewed from his mouth. 

"What happened to you guys?" asked Andres, observing the scarless bodies of the giants. 

The giant on the right began shaking as he stretched his arms and said, "We're prisoners of Eisheth Zenunim. She has captured our souls and imprisoned us here in the Tower of Envy". 

The left giant continued, "Please if it's not too much. Release us from the belly of the hungry bride. You must rip her stomach open to free the souls of her many victims". 

"Where can we find her?" asked Andres. 

The right giant answered, "In the far castle with her husband, The King of The Fifth Realm. Free our souls and return to this forest. And we will show our gratitude by granting you our power". 

The giants believed the sincerity in not only Andres' eyes but also in his words as he spoke, "I accept your quest. I will venture to the tombs of Samael himself. Find this wicked witch by the name of Eisheth and drive my blade through her stomach". 

The two giants held their hands out as a way to give thanks for Andres' generosity as he continued, "And when I am done, I will be back to claim my reward and have a good solid quest defeating demons with my two new friends". 

Andres nodded his head at the two giants as he walked onto the platform. Black venom tears rolled the cheeks of the two imprisoned giants as they turned their heads. Everybody stared back at the giants in question of what they were about to do.

"Assholes," responded Dani. 

The giants continued, "Only by defeating the demon in the keep to which we send and stealing the jewel from its collar will thou be allowed to travel to all floors". 

Andres gave a smile that cheered the cold hearts of the giants and said, "then so be it". 

Symbols on the walls surrounding the platform glowed. The platform began lowering itself to the dungeon at the bottom of the castle. Logan remained patient with his hands covering his pelvic. He sternly told Andres, "You're full of shit". Dani nodded her head to Logan's truthful words.

Glass doors opened. Shir Ali and Dara saw the luxurious setting of the restaurant. There were columns of mirrors. On the right side, near the white wall, there was a rather big aquarium, where fancy-looking fish swam. On the left side of the wall was a large panel with ancient Greek statues, made in plaster. But the eyes of the statues were gilded.

The ceiling of the restaurant was painted with paintings, landscapes of mountains, fields, rivers were painted there, and in the middle stood the Acropolis.

Dara just said - "what a wretched bad taste"!

The floor of the restaurant was covered in pink marble.
His legs were slipping. You could stretch out on it.
On the walls hung decorative trunks of grapes, with leaves and bunches covered with gilding.
A rich but tasteless restaurant.

The price was only 200,000 black bucks.
The exchange rate was 1 US dollar = 20,000 black bucks for 2023.
The order has been placed.
After 5 minutes, the waiter brought free black tea in a small 125 ml Amurut glass and a small baking. To wait for the order was not so boring.
But dissatisfied with Dara, he drank a glass in a minute, and he did not like the cookie, it was dry and choked on it. Coughing. The mood was not very.
"Well, and for hell did we come here? We've been waiting for 20 minutes and nothing ..." ?!
"Cousin, don't be nervous, they brought tea!"

"Well, brother ?! Money down the drain"? said Dara softly.
"For $ 40 we could take a full pilaf with meat of 348 grams, a salad of onions and tomatoes and salt each for a whole plate, we would order 3 puff and tandoori-baked pies with meat and onions. And also 1 teapot of long green tea "!
"And these coals, wet cardboard and cotton!"
Shir Ali, touched his chin with his hand and held down.
"And the reviews were pretty good," he said.
"Yes, you're right, money down the drain"!
"But don't be sad, we'll go straight from here to another restaurant, they serve amazing steaks from the chef!" wandered hungry cousin, Shir Ali.
But Dara continued to doubt ...

Ren could feel a spine-tingling sensation as the Goddess of Light glared at him. It has been quite a long time since he felt this sense of danger. The last time he felt this indescribable feeling of dread was back when he fought the ORIGIN. Ren who felt his body shivering in both fear and excitement couldn't help but smile that vicious smile of his. Ren's shadow started to expand as multiple spears came out from it.  
Ren infused his mana into the spears and with his total control made the spears levitate beside him. Ren then quickly pushed the spears forward making them dart towards the Goddess of Light. The speed of the spears were five times faster than the speed of sound.  
The Goddess of Light looked at the incoming spears with disdain, and the moment they were about to hit her, the spears phased through her body. In the eyes of others, the Goddess of Light didn't move as the spears simply went through her body, on the other hand, Ren saw something different. The Goddess of Light moved so fast that she was able to dodge the spears with minimum movement and quickly returned to her original spot. She moved so fast that her dodging looked like she was just standing there.  
Ren couldn't help himself as the smile on his face grew wider. Ren used his mana control to make the spears that went past the Goddess of Light come back, while he charged forward. Ren alongside the floating spears attacked the Goddess of Light. Ren didn't give the Goddess of Light any leeway as he attacked in all directions. Yet the same as before the Goddess of Light evaded each strike with the same minimal movement.  
"Hmph, can't you see that kind of attack won't even hit me?"  
"Is that so?"  
When the Goddess of Light heard Ren's reply, she finally noticed that her cheek had a little cut on it. She was truly surprised to see that she got damaged. Even without dodging, there were only a few types of mortal weapons that could harm her, the only reason she was dodging now was to show Ren the disparity between them. Yet now that she saw that Ren's weapons could actually harm her she felt a little relieved that she was dodging those strikes.  
"Heh, so even deities bleed."
When the Goddess of Light heard what Ren said she grew even more infuriated. As Ren was about to begin his assault again, the Goddess of Light lifted her hands and pointed at mirrors on the walls. A burst of light came flying out of her fingers hitting the nearby mirrors. The light then bounced from mirror to mirror creating a web of light that disintegrated the floating spears.  
It was a good thing that Ren was able to guess beforehand why there were mirrors on the wall, in a room that had nothing but decorations that could show one's reflection. The moment Ren saw that burst of light he quickly summoned numerous shields from his shadow which covered him, and he did the same for Lara and the others who were at the corner of the room.  
The power of that one burst of light almost broke his shields. Just two more strikes like that and Ren's stock of shields would be depleted. So before the Goddess of Light could make her next move, Ren quickly summoned several dozens of weapons which he immediately threw at all the mirrors and decorative pieces in the room.  
"Hmph, so you're not just a brute, you can actually use your head. Still, that won't be enough to defeat me."
After she said those words the Goddess of Light's hands started to blur as several bursts of light came flying towards Ren. Despite the attacks being literally as fast as light, Ren was able to dodge every single beam. As he was about ready to counterattack, Ren suddenly lost his sight. Still, even without his sight, Ren could sense the area around him. As he was confused as to what happened he heard the Goddess of Light's voice.
"Do you understand now, unlike your title Strongest Mortal Soul, the title of Goddess of Light isn't just for show. As a world deity, I have the power of law on my side, as I can control this world's light. For as long as you're a being that exists in this world, I can plunge you into the darkness. This is the end for you, well it's not like I expected you to do any better. Well, even though you're about to die now, you should be proud that you were able to wound me."  
The Goddess of Light then fired multiple bursts of light towards Ren. She was expecting Ren to die with that assault, but to her surprise even without being able to see Ren was able to dodge all the beams of light. The Goddess of Light then continued her assault but Ren was still able to dodge. After a while, the Goddess of Light who was unable to hit Ren returned the light of his eyes.  
That ability of hers that takes one's light uses too much divine power and since it wasn't working the way she wanted it to, she deactivated it.  
Ren who was able to see again smiled. After those exchanges, it would seem that the two were at a stalemate. Ren and the Goddess of Light were having difficulty hitting each other, and it would seem that they were evenly matched to those who were watching. 
Yet the truth was Ren was on the losing side. In that brief exchange between him and the Goddess of Light, Ren could already guess how the battle was going to end. Even with his spiritual energy and his physical body getting stronger every second, Ren knew that with his current abilities the Goddess of Light wasn't someone he could defeat using such half-ass means.
 Ren then looked at Lara and did some cryptic hand signals. When Lara saw Ren's hand signals she nodded her head. Seeing Lara's response Ren looked at the Goddess of Light while gathering all the mana he had. He even used his Spirit Aura to the very limit of what he cand produce.  
"As expected of a deity, you're harder to deal with than I thought. Still, even you would get hurt if you're hit by this." Ren gathered everything he currently had into Snertal.
